amazing young man joining with us on the show. We're going to be talking about his insights, some of the work he does to help other people. In his latest book, Success, The Inner Treasures of Life, out July 14th, 2003 by Johnny

Henry. We're going to get into it with him and how he can help you give advice on making your life better as well. He has grown up in the small town, or he grew up in the small town of Soso, Mississippi, Mr. Johnny Ishmael Henry was raised on a farm learning about the work ethic early in life. He attended Roosevelt Attendance Center in Ellisville, Mississippi, and Jones Junior College upon graduation from high school.

His college education includes three and a half years at Alcorn State University. Afterwards, he served three years in the U.S. Army. He reserved his BS degree at the – that sounds weird, the BS degree. His BS degree. At the, I think I have a BS degree, but I never went to college. University of Southern Mississippi in 1980. He's the author of five published books for created courses, one app, two podcasts, and the vibrating toilet seat that debuted on Jay Leno's show in 2008 that went viral.

Probably appropriate Jay Leno's not that funny. Anyway, guys, I'm just teasing. I love Jane. So anyway, yeah, what the hell? What the hell? What the hell? doing that you make a buddy jay oh don't do that i can't hit that high pitch voice of jay anyway uh i'm built different let's put it that way so welcome the show how are you sir johnny

henry i am wonderful wonderful chris just happy to be on your show and uh you're a very spirited person and i can tell this is going to be a great event it will be because you're here so give us here dot coms where can people find you on the interwebs johnny henry enterprises uh com so give us a How's it over you? What's inside your book? My book, the way this book come about, when I was younger, of course, you know, I was a party animal, so to speak.

And, as I was saying earlier, I was in the shadows of shadows of my life. And seeking that purpose, but I was seeking the purpose the wrong way. You know, there's a right way in a wrong way. And I saw people that were a little bit more that was riding around in Lexuses, Cadillacs, SUVs and all that.

But I had a hoop day. I said, wait a minute. I said, something's wrong with this picture. And I thought about it. I said, I should be riding around something like that. Not to take anything from the people that was doing that. But I said, well, I began to think. I said, well, I can take my experiences that I've gone through in life,

adversity and the challenges and write about that. write a book on success people like to hear about success they like to hear about people making money and wealth and so I said with Tony Robbins and the gentleman that wrote thinking grow rich I can't think of his name

Thinker Grow Rich was that Napoleon Hill Napoleon Hill I said they can do it I can do it so I started getting all my information up and start writing a book on success to inner trades of life so I can make a little money but I wasn't but But see, God can bless me like that because I wasn't living exactly right. He's not going to bless you from not living right.

So I started writing that book and I was writing to make money. Then the book changed over into a spiritual success book. And I said, I didn't want to write this spiritual book. I didn't want, and that wasn't what I wanted to write. But it started, you know, the worst start point, start coming out, start coming out. And it became a really, really good book. And I said, well, I was grateful to do. do that. But I said, well, one friend of mine told me, your book's not going to do. It's going to

make, and your book's going to do great later in life. Not right now when I was younger, but that's how that book got started. And it's a, it's a great book. It gives you a sense of direction how to discover your secret inner treasures of life. All of us are born with those inner treasures. You, all of us, no, it doesn't matter. Make a difference with gender, but nationality. to you are, we're all born with them. It's just a matter if we want to use them. And as I was saying earlier, at the beginning of life, as my friend told me, when I was speaking of greatness, he said, why think of greatness when you can just use a gift that God gave you and achieve that purpose? And if greatness come, fine. If it doesn't come, that's fine. You see, some of us are thrust into

greatness. Some of us achieve greatness. And greatness is thrust upon some of us. And greatness is thrust upon some of us. And the thing is, I said, I got upset at him. I said, well, I thought about it. And what he said made sense. So he said, look, there's a, on one in the spectrum, there's an idea of your purpose and your gift that God bless you with. Other end of the spectrum, there's a reality of thriving in that purpose. But in the middle is the shadow. And you have to cross that shadow from the idea of your real of your purpose. But the thing about crossing the shadow,

one doesn't cross it the same way. Oh. Different destinies. So some of us revel in the shadow much more longer than the others do. And we, because our destinies are different. Around each bend of the maze, you have challenges that you have to face.

And those treasures like faith, creativity, discovery, willpower, learning, uplifting, inspiring, and,

and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and,

in your, power, your deep secret inner self, which is your subconscious mind. The seeds

that you plant there is what, is what you get. That's what, that's what you get. So, this is what, what happened to me.

And, as I, and as I, and as, as, and as one, travels the shadow of the maze. Some of them go so deep into the maze

that scares them to death. And that's where you find, discover those that you have quantum, you can, the quantum thinking, you have to do quantum thinking, reasoning, planning, organizing. This is where you, you lose focus. When you lose focus, that's when those inner treasures shines brightly, deep within you,

and guiding you on your merry way. Back up to the top, so you can step over into the reality of your purpose. Now, and some of those things that hinder us may be sickness, maybe loss of job, loss of home, wife, family. It can be anything. A lot of these things happen in the shadow. Things that can make you lose your mind, I might say. But you must hold on to faith. As it says in Hebrews 11th chapter first verse, faith is a substance of things hopeful and evidence of things not seen. So we must hold on to that faith, even though we hadn't seen our destiny yet, but someone that's had made it across, so that means that we can make it across. But success and the treasures also teaches you how to go deep within yourself and how to help to heal yourself. Your body can heal itself through by your subconscious mind. Your conscious mind is your objective mind.

And that's what Anything you look, see here, I think comes into your objective mind and it seeps down into the lower mind, which is the subjective mind. The subconscious mind is subject to the conscious

mind because it's like the steering mechanism of the ship. Subconscious mind is like the ship itself. And it works ever since we were born, your heart has never stopped beating. You never stop breathing. It's constantly working. Your fingernails continue to grow, your hair on your body, and you shed everything that you got continue. This is what success to inner treasures reveals that all of us and can

uplift and inspire others, touch hearts, change minds and inspire souls. This is what we're here for. And we're all for the God's tree of humanity. There's no such thing as a black race or white race, a red race, a yellow race of people. We're just one human. humanity, one universe, and one people. There you go. We're all human beings. We all human beings. That's it. This is it. But we let all this, this physical structure designs come between us, colors and structures come between us. And we think more of the physical than we do the spiritual realm. Yeah, that's true. Well, you nailed it.

Absolutely. So we need, this is what success to inner treasures of life. When I was writing, I said, well, I got pretty deep into it. I said, this is, a spiritual, wonderful spiritual book. I thank God for allowing me to write it and to share it with you and the world. Because right now we need uplifting. In many countries, we're having a lot of uproar, a lot of dissent. And it's because of people are not allowing those using the spiritual and the treasures. They're using the physical, they seek power and domination instead of cooperation and working with one another.

God put it to work with one another to bring justice, peace, love, light to a society. And an authentic leader is one that dwells down in the midst of the people like Jesus did. The light, a leader that have to push and pull the people

is not a real leader. All a leader have to do is dwell in the midst of the people where all the dirty stuff is going to on it, all the nasty, ugly stuff down in the midst of the people, and let his light shine. See, people, if the leader doesn't dwell down

in the midst of people, they can't see the direction to go. They're lost. Yeah, totally lost. When his light touches upon their light, all their lights together make the darkness flee. Mm-hmm.

But, but go ahead. And this is part of what you talk about in the book, the inner treasures of life, correct? Yes. Yes. Yes, absolutely. And they're healing treasures, treasures of success. and success comes from the inside. Success is an inside job that works its way to the outside.

I've been trying to get to the podium for almost 50 years look like. You know, and to speak, I like, I have something to say. And my things, I ran for president twice. Oh, really? Yes. Of the United States? Yes. Good for you, man.

Why not? Why not? Yeah. I mean, you know, I don't believe in that stuff. You're not, no, no, no. We're all smart in something. It's just more about being yourself. It's a 2020 and

2024. But of course I didn't get off the ground because I wasn't quite familiar with the... It's a whole operator. Exactly. And they want people up there that they can control, and I'm not the controlling type. Controllable type. But I love people.

I think that we have to come together. And this is what success in the treasured life does. If a nation people don't embrace these inner spiritual treasures of life and with what's going on now I'm afraid that we're going to be doomed

and I hope I hate to say that but I hope that countries, great countries you know the countries I'm talking about come together and realize that what you're fighting for you never own it was here before you got here you can't own this I can't on it

but I can live on and appreciate it and help others through it. This is what success in the treasured life does. And they say, well, no, I can't own the earth. Some people want to think they can on it, but no one's ever on it before. Before I know. And another thing, when you're shooting for your success,

shoot for the sky. I don't think you might not hit the sky. I don't know. But what I'm saying is that you might land on a star far greater than the one that you're shooting for. Success center of treasure of life inspire you to shoot, give it your best shot. Be the best man, best woman that you can be.

Being greatest leader, one of the greatest leaders to ever live. One of the greatest leaders to ever live. And another thing, the word I am is a confident word. When you say, I am, you're saying that you are part of everything that exists. You're part of the universe, the universe. We all exist on this level. And success in the treasures of life, we have the treasures that God has best us with. if we just use them, just and light those treasures.

And when you thrive in your purpose, it's like breaking through the cocoon like a little butterfly. And you become that great butterfly and sharing your beauty with the world. You can break the foundation in, knock the walls down, and blow the roof off the top. I mean, you can literally change things in a positive light. And this is what we're going to have to do. It's not about muscle or might. It's about the spiritual context of transformation. We're going through great transformation right now.

The whole world is. Yeah. We're going to the great transformation. So we must change, accept change, diversity, inclusion. We must be, you know, include people. We are, like so, we're just one big family. And this is the only place I know that we have to live. So it wouldn't be smart and wise for us to destroy our home and try to live in it.

It wouldn't make sense. Yeah, that's very true. No, it would make sense. You know, and I think that, um, as a great friend of mine told me, he said, a man that's straight can see crooked, but a man that's crooked can't see straight. I had to think about that for a minute. Yeah. Explain us what the meaning is that is.

I am. Okay. Sorry. Okay. You're fine. You're fine. A man that's straight. he's a man pretty on the level he's pretty good he's a good man okay he can see all the

crookedness in his life that he just out in front of him and he avoids all those pitfalls but a man that's crooked deviant he can't see the crookness because he is crooked see and and and and he thinks his crookedness is straight but it's not so but but but he can he can change that if you allow help Allow himself to get in touch with the spiritual inner treasures of life and receive wisdom, knowledge, love, justice, peace, understanding. There's a certain thing in life is if we adhere to it, we're just here for a short time. And I thank God for the 75 young years that I've been here and that I've been circling around the sun. And we're booking, man, about 6 to 8,000 miles per hour every day.

Yeah, where's me up? Yes, we're moving, brother. And about 1.13,000 miles rotating around, rotating on our axis. So we're not actually just sitting still. We've traveled a thousand miles since you're not been talking. So people need to realize, need to think, I think, said, I'm part of a greater whole. I am not the whole, but I'm part of a wonderful greater hole. And the inner treasures of my life that success in me is realizing that there's a God of someone greater than I am.

And this is what gives me impetus to go on to achieve to uplift to inspire others, to touch hearts, to change mind, and inspire souls. And I have another podcast, too, as there was too long to put it on 38 minutes.

And it's deep dive America 2025. Oh, wow. Deep dive America 2025. And it goes into telling about how we was the old days and the 50s, 60s, and 70s, how we would come up and and how the work ethic created character within us, how we had to work, you know, and I think this is what helped me along the way and many others in my age group is that we had to work in order to achieve, not just greatness, but to achieve a stability in life. And if you don't have stability, it's hard to navigate that maze and that shadow and to step into your purpose.

If you never step over into the reality of your purpose, it's sad. You become only a shadow man or shadow woman. That's all you are all your life. You're just a shadow of the person that you could be. You put more emphasis on the shadow than you do reality. So I tell one, whatever it takes for you to step into your reality, if you have to leap over there, leap onto that reality, success and interchages of life affords you the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,

the necessary information to go within yourself and get in touch with your spiritual and their treasures of life. It's one of the greatest little books out there, pound for pound. I mean, an inspirational, motivational self-development. And I got five other, four of the books. Do you want to plug those books while we're here? Yes, yes. their audio books as well as paperback books. Then you got reflections of life for the Horn and Soul, one of the best little romantic books there is out there. I have a friend, young lady, she wrote it. She wrote about, she wrote drama. She was a young lady, but she had a

our old soul and I wrote from the heart and we wrote it in from the heart four different seasons of love, spring, summer, fall, and winter and all the nationalities in that book and no one's left out and then we have one diversity versus racism, a challenge to mankind. Are we going to survive the, the deceit, the intrigue, the, the, the, all that we're going through now. Are we going to survive other, are we going to go under? That's, I'm, I like to think we're going to survive. Cool ahead. But my thing is leadership.

I've been a leader on my life. But I am a thought leader and mastermind. And as well as a professional speaker. And next time, I've been trying to get to the podium for a long time. And I do believe that helping young people to get in touch with their, secretly in itself to let them know that, look, you have a responsibility to carry on after we leave here. We're going to leave you here. We want to leave something with you so that you can can become as great and as wise and as good as you can possibly be. Yes, and that's no such thing as

leadership doesn't come in gender. It comes in the spirit. Male, female, all throughout history have had great leaders. And I respect all of them. and love all of them. I think that's the reason you and I are here today. We had great, good people that came before us, and that made sure that this would stay so. And people have been using those inner treasures, spiritual inter treasures

of all throughout history. All throughout history. And when you learn about them and you discover them, you discover them, and you begin to use them, you can't go back to not just being average. There's no average person on the face.

to earth. I'm not an average person. You're not average. We're extraordinary. And ordinary people. If you think little, you're going to get little. What you plant in your subconscious mind. If you're not going to plant like plant apples and get peaches,

ochre and get potatoes. In other words, what I'm saying is if you plant good, something good, mindsets are going to reap that benefit. We all have a mindset. And that mindset, determine your cause of your purpose, your destiny.

Your mindset is what developed, what you develop along the road of life. And the shadows of life, you can have, you can, you, we, we,

we get lost, lost in the shadow because when you're young, you take your mind off the goal of the purpose for which you was here. But thank God, you find it before, before you, uh, expire.

Because when you, when you, when you, live in that purpose. You're not only affect what you do, you affect millions of other people. Look at Dr. King. Look at some of our great leaders, male and female. They affected the course of history. Oh, yeah.

It affected the course of history. This is what we got to affect the course of history. And like I said, we believe that all people should have a right to express. Expression is one of the greatest gifts of the inner treasures of life.

Because we come from God's greatness of expression so therefore that makes us want to express ourselves create he created us in his image that makes us want us to create whatever we create like the vibrating toilet seat

and some people gave me some some some unusual things go to try and say no I can't do that I said that wouldn't work a good friend but that and many other things so it's just a thing that if you now hopefully this can

inspire and touch millions many people that to let them know that it's power and might is not the way any leader can be powerful might but can you the greatest leaders are the one that seek peace and seek justice

and they believe in the people more than and like the people like the body like I said like we were talking about conscious and subconscious the leader is the head of the body but the body has the heart the head can't make it without the heart they both give messages

the head send messages to the heart to pump blood to us so it can survive the brain so the people the body carries the head carries the leader but the leader kind of give the body direction if it's a good head you see what I'm saying yeah yeah you can't you have the body without the head

the head out of the body. Everything you got, living got a head in the body. You got to have everything. You got to have it, man. You got to have it. You know, I'm a, I'm a think. I'm done some, we've been into the bottom of the bottom of my powerful secret inner self and whereby I discovered quantum thinking.

We are sometimes quantum thinkers. You have to have balance. You have to have balance in your physical, spiritual, emotional, psychological life. if you're going to navigate this life in a positive way. And all of these are part of those spiritual inner treasures. Your spirit, your heart, your soul, your mind. I can go on and on. But if you, you, if you, and put these, these things, these wonderful treasures to work for you,

you can become successful beyond reason. And you can achieve your, and achieving that purpose while you're here on earth, if you don't achieve that, it's like you never existed. Oh, yeah. And you're just, you're just a shadow. So let's talk about some of the offers you have on your website. I show people like what we're talking about now, how to enhance their life through by their spiritual and the treasures. coaching, how to connect with that spiritual inner self. I teach people, train people on professional speaking and how to share that, how to enlight, how to enlighten others by the way that they carry themselves.

And we got to be the best that we can be Of that version of a person that we are And it's making each person a better person Of the version that they are That's what I'm doing in coaching And life life coaching And leadership coaching teaching sharing with people how to become an authentic leader an authentic leader is one that

that ask for forgiveness when he's done wrong and he admits that he's done wrong and he asks for forgiveness and and instead of holding it in and and and and and trying to hold it back but the thing about an authentic leader you are real what you say and you know the people you you love the people more and you love yourself And this is what I teach in authentic leadership, not that you're better than anybody else, not that you're the greatest leader, you this morning, but you can work with other leaders, other people, to move it forward. It's going to take all of us to move this forward together. One person can't do it by themselves. And this is what success in the treasures of life allows you to do, to go within yourself and to discover your secret and the treasures, and that inspires you to seek that greatness, that goodness that's in you.

And you can see it in other people, too, when you meet them. You can see that those treasures firing up in them. And also, I'll teach people how to ask God to grant them to serenity, peace of mind, to accept the things they cannot change. A lot of times you can't change the things outside of yourself. You can't change one thing outside of yourself. Nothing, one thing, one thing, nothing. but ask me to

give you the courage to go within yourself and change those things that's going on within you. Those issues, those issues, those shortcomings to move them aside. Now this is part of the 12-step prayer

if you've heard of it. And when you change, when God comes in, you're allowed them to come to change those things within yourself, those issues. A lot of us don't think we have issues. We don't have short comments. I mean, you know, do you have them? No, I have a multitude.

I have them all. I collect them. So, so do I, man. I mean, I said, well, that's okay. Because, I mean, no man's perfect on this, on this journey. Yeah. So you do career coaching. You do relationship coaching.

Career coaching or relationship coaching. And just. Health care coaching. Yeah. Just talk with people and show with people how, you know, that with relationship, and career coaching, find what best, what you feel more strongly about in your life than anything. But there's something that each one of us feel more strongly about anything in the world.

And if you feel more strongly about that certain particular thing, we'll work toward that goal. Definitely. Wonderful messaging here. So as we go out, tell people that they can onboard with you. I see that they can get on board with you. I see that they can get an hour of a call with you and stuff, how they can onboard you, how they can get to know you better, and final pitch out on the book.
