Today we have an amazing young lady on the show with us today.
We're going to be talking about her book that came out March 6, 2025.
It's entitled To Kill the First Born by Teresa T. Stark.
We're going to get into her history and learning and find some cool things out that will give
us some interesting perspectives on life.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but as a daughter of a military father, she grew up
in various states, Europe, and is now retired in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Lord called her
at the age of 12 while living with her parents, she was exposed to various denominations on
army-based communities ranging from Catholic to Methodist. Even in those various denominations,
God kept her focus on him. Accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in early
life created a hunger and thirst after righteousness that never left. A retired city leader, a widow, a mother of three, and grandmother of three, and now a
daughter of Zion.
Welcome to the show.
How are you?
I'm wonderful.
Thank you for having me.
Thanks for coming, Teresa.
We really appreciate you being here.
Give us dot coms.
Where do you want people to find out more about you on the interwebs? My website is Therese Stark, To Kill the Firstborn, and I need to know that word for word, but
I don't have it.
I sent it in the email.
I'm sorry.
Okay.
I'll see if we can pull it up and we'll make sure it's in the post so we can get that
taken care of for you.
Okay.
So give us a 30,000 over you.
What's inside this book?
Is it a novel?
Is it a nonfiction?
Give us an over you. Oh's inside this book? Is it a novel? Is it a nonfiction? Give us an overview.
Dr. Bernd Friedman Oh, look here, it is life. It is me.
It was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write it because there are so many scenarios out there.
It's always to die to self, or that's another expression as well. And making clarity for some that may not have interest to go in the
church building, but be interested in reading some insight of the life and witness of an individual
that has actually done that. So, I'm not just writing about a thought, but I actually did kill
the firstborn. Tell us deeper who is this basically a novel about Christ's experience?
And, and, uh, I know that the kill the firstborn reference, correct me
from wrong, cause I'm not a pro at this, uh, is when Herod instructed, you
know, they were trying to wipe, to find Jesus and, and I guess kill him.
Uh, the Romans were.
And so I believe King Herod had instructed this to take place.
Exactly. And it wasn't stemmed off of that, but that is an example of that killing the
firstborn is significant with God.
So, who are the characters in the book? They might seem obvious, but Phyllis said.
Phyllis I'm the main character.
Pete Okay.
Phyllis And then my experiences in life, as well as the Word of God, when the Holy Spirit revealed
to me some things that were not apparent, without him, I would not have gotten revelation of
what it really meant. And I have experienced killing the firstborn, and I just wanted to
share that because I was inspired to share it. That title is really, people say, well,
that sounds kind of hard, but that's the way God gave it to me, and that's the way
I write it down. Pete So, what does it mean to you when you say that?
Keeley McClain?
Keeley McClain Actually, a lot of scenarios have been brought out, like, for example,
to die to self, or you beat yourself daily, or those kind of expressions. But it never really
brought it out to understand that that is something you really need to do. It's not an expression. The word of God is very plain. I have at least
five examples where God has given the idea to man that they must kill the firstborn and
that the firstborn is the one that's the problem. Let me give you an example. Pete Okay.
Dr. C. Warriner Adam was first for all of us. And of course,
he ate the fruit of the forbidden tree through his wife. And because of that, our entrance here
causes us to be born of a nature that's against God and is called enmity. So we ourselves don't really want to be bothered
with God. We want to be bothered ourselves, with our friends, with our workplace. You know,
it's more important than God. As I come into the earth, and the Word of God tells you in Psalms 139
about being with God first, and then He sent us through, through the womb of a woman, born
out into the earth. And our birth in the earth is our firstborn. Amen. My name is Teresa.
So you came in and your name is Chris.
Yeah, my name is Chris. At least that's what they tell me. My mom taped it to my name,
to my shirt. So there's one on my name is Chris. At least that's what they tell me. My mom taped it to my name to my shirt. There's one on my helmet, too.
Okay. And so, that's the firstborn, Teresa.
And so, you talk in the book about renewal, renewing yourselves back to God. Tell us what
this is about and how this plays out in the book.
Dr.
L. I spent many years learning other things, doing the things that I wanted to do, what was pleasing
to me, what I liked and what I didn't like. I started separating things. It's like, I'm comfortable
with this, I'm not comfortable with that. And I think everyone can agree with that,
that you don't wanna do anything
that's gonna make you uncomfortable.
And to understand the reason why God put you here
as an individual, we all came with a destiny to fulfill.
And without the knowledge to do that,
a lot of people go unfinished.
And so we have to kill the firstborn, the one that's born in enmity, the one that has
the association with the world system.
We're made from the dirt, typically.
And so we're more used to doing the things
in the world system.
So you can tell me one thing
and I'll decide whether or not I wanna agree.
I don't have to, or I will.
But I'll use that to help me shape myself.
I might like what you do,
might like what you say or someone else.
And then I may pick that up
and carry that as part of my character.
Pete Now, go ahead.
Dr. Melinda No, so then I am more me, myself and I.
Pete Me, me, myself and I. Now, you talked that our destiny goes through the Holy Spirit of God.
How does it address the challenge of surrendering our will, you know, world that, you know,
kind of prioritizes, well, independence or self-reliance?
Yeah.
You know, you said the key word, prioritize.
We all have done that.
You know, unconsciously, we accept things like I was sharing, we adopt things for ourselves.
It can become a creative, fulfilling, satisfying habit,
is something that we like and accept, and it makes us comfortable. And sometimes this has to do with
family traditions, what my mom did, what my dad did, what I like my sister did, my brother did,
or my friend. We tend to pick up those things that
are in the world system. And the world system is where we live. We were created for this,
by the way, Chris. We were made in the image of God, and our image sets the tone to us to be able to live here with the best creation of God. We're the only creation
that's in his image. And because of that, we're given the priority and also the only
way back to him. The grass can't go, the tree can't go, the animals can't go, they're two part beings, they're a body and a soul,
we're created to in house the presence of God. So we have a body, we have a soul, and we have a
spirit. And our spirit is what you hear right now, I am expressing myself, that's my soul.
expressing myself, that's my soul. You understand me through my soul, but my spirit is quiet.
Until I have the encounter with God, that that lays dormant and my destiny may never be fulfilled. Pete Hmm. What was the other question I had for you here? You call the, you talk about in the books, basic instructions before
leaving earth. It's a phrase that you associate with the Bible. Tell us about what that means
for you and how the book clarifies that role.
Dr. Berndt Well, that's what the Bible is. It gives you instructions,
what you should do, how to handle yourself, how you should receive the presence of God,
how you should obey the Word of God, how you should obey the word of God, how you should eat. And there are a number of other characters
we create as we understand the word of God, read the word of God, we read the Bible because
it's something to help us with life versus other books, the worldly direction to how to get
rich or let me build a house, how to plant for my future in retirement, you know, is more important.
It associates with me. So when we read the Bible and we accept the Holy Spirit, who is the writer and author
of the Bible, then he can help us to understand the Word of God.
But without him, it's like a textbook.
And we look at it as the instructions of the past.
We don't look at it as instructions for us right now, because our
association is still with the world system. And the world system keeps you away from God,
it keeps you busy. Well, I've got to say, social media, TV, I can stay on Facebook all day and
never open up the Bible, because it's satisfying me for my needs
and the aneurysm that they send to you.
It's like, well, she likes this.
OK, here you go.
You like that?
OK, here you go.
And it fills up our Facebook.
So yeah, I've experienced that.
But the instructions in the Word of God,
He helps us equip what God had put in us before we came out of our
mother's womb. The Word of God tells us that He gives us our calendar, our plan, our purpose,
everything that we will be, our color, our hair, what our future will entail. He puts everything in us, and we come out of our mother, and we're born into
the atmosphere of the world. But our package is filled. As soon as we accept the Holy Spirit,
it ignites the true us. So the Bible tells us what we should do. Jesus demonstrated it in many ways.
He went with his disciples showing them,
this is what you do.
You pray for one another, you lay hands on the sick,
you get baptized in the spirit,
you get baptized in the water first,
and then you come out, you get baptized in the spirit.
I mean, he just was a real intentional instructor for the followers.
And so, these are the patterns we should go.
Pete Slauson
Hmm. Now, some churches don't talk about this kind of language of their con creations
or say you're maybe preaching. What are your thoughts on that? Um, you know, sometimes how people get in, you know, this is gonna, I'm
gonna get a feedback on this one.
But sometimes, you know, people just get in a position for money.
Ah, you know, if you have a huge congregation and they do tithe and
offering and you know, that kind
of nurtures my need financially and I can get this, I can get that.
But I want to sign by God for that position.
And my heart isn't helping you get saved, it's not helping you find God, it's not helping
you be filled with the Spirit of God, it's not helping you develop in the kingdom of
God. It's more like, satisfy me. And if I can get all these people like any other organization,
you know, you get in an organization, you get a manual, the guidelines for this organization,
and you follow that. Well, here is the manual for the Kingdom of God, the basic instructions
Well, here is the manual for the Kingdom of God, the basic instructions before leaving earth.
You know, we're going to leave earth Chris.
I'm sticking around.
I'm not leaving.
Okay.
I'm going to fight all the way, man.
I'm calling.
I'm, I'm, I'm attaching.
I'm, you know, you know, you take a tent, tent you you put those stakes down. That's what I'm doing
I'm staking my shoes into the ground. Okay, I can't leave even if there's a rapture. I won't be able to leave
And then I'm tying myself to a tree. I think that's
My if I'm in a hospital bed, I'm just gonna strap me down this hospital bed so I
can't I heard the spirit, you know leaves, you know, straight upwards.
So I need to do this and then I need like a screen or something to hold it in the spirit.
So that's what I'm doing that or you know, fucking was the old Jim Morrison line from
the doors that when he gets out of here live.
So the way things are going today, a way of escape seems to be the path people are looking
for.
Do you shed, will this book shed light on hope and see hatred, killing, lying, and
surrendering to witchcraft or idolatry or, we like to call it 2025.
Well, 2025 is changing drastically.
Even the weather is crazy.
You know, even the earth is groaning, you know, it's opening up and, you know, different
things, people ignite a fire, but they can't make it go thousands of miles.
You know, only the wind can help it go.
And they didn't create the wind.
How about that?
That's true. That's true. What do you expect people to gain? Do you think this is a book for
renewing the faith of people who are Christian and the Bible, etc., etc.? Is this a good book
for people who are maybe exploring their faith or trying to figure out where they are in the
map of faith, etc.,, et cetera. This is a book to help one make a decision.
This decision is personal.
That decision is to decide where you're going to go when you leave here,
because we're all going to die.
There's no joke about that part.
Now, after you're dead, that's not the end.
So understand you must prepare yourself for the future, eternal
future. And that's what this book points out. When we decide for ourselves, because that's
the only one that can make the decision for you at the last hour, that you will be going
either to be with the Lord God Almighty or are you going to
be with Satan, Lucifer?
Well, you know, all the good bands are going to Satan's area, so Led Zeppelin.
Okay.
I'm just having fun.
All right.
Yeah, but that's the purpose of the book to help people find a way because a lot of people think that they're not
valuable at all
Everyone that is born in the earth is valuable to God
He wished that nobody should be lost and no one gets caught up in the world system like Adam did
unfortunately, and now we're in this bag that we have to work our way out. And the Word of God is very
clear as to our way out. And that's through the Holy Spirit.
Pete Now, is politicians part of that whole program
or not? Because they seem like they should just all go to hell maybe. I don't know. There are some. There are some.
There are Christians now.
We like to pick on the politicians.
Yeah, yeah.
It's an easy, it's a low hanging fruit.
Yeah, it is.
And you know, one thing about it, even them are changing their heart and finding out that
although this is a job for me right now, what am I going to do once I leave here? Not physically, but
spiritually, because we are going to leave one way or another. And so politicians, a lot of them
that I know that are even in the White House right now are born-again Christians. And they understand
now are born-again Christians. And they understand of their position to help our leader make right decisions. And you know, there's training ground for everybody. Okay? And nobody arrives the first
day. How about that one? We're waiting on the arrival. Don't kill the firstborn or kill the
firstborn. Yeah, I've got to kill the first born. It's being done.
It's being done.
But, you know, nobody, like I said, arrives in anything.
It's really a work and it's a will in the matter.
And you have to decide, make a decision.
I want people, you know, to make a decision based on what their needs are.
I want to satisfy my friend.
I want to satisfy my husband.
I want to satisfy my kids. I want to set up my friend, I want to set up my husband, I want to set up my kids, I want to set up my boss. What about me?
So, do you do any consulting or any coaching?
Do you advise people, all that stuff, all that thing?
I could.
I have in the past, as my position in church, I'm an intercessor.
Intercessors, we stand in the gap like a lawyer.
Our position is to pray and in that we help others that don't know us.
We're not to think of ourselves more highly than we should, but we are to stand in the
gap to help people get saved, help their minds get clear, know that they're valuable. Everybody
thinks, you know, everybody don't think they're valuable to anybody or anyone. And so they
just do things to get attention. You don't need to have to get attention if you're a
born-again Christian. You know who you are and you know who you serve. So at the name
of Jesus, every knee is going to bow. I don't care who you are, where you are, politician,
unbeetition, preacher, it don't matter. But we're all going to have to confess in the
end of our life. And at that time, you should have a decision made whether or not you want to be eternally with God
Or you will be eternally with Satan
You know his end is nothing but fire and he will be burned with all these people
Going with him because what people don't understand is God is a creator. He creates everything.
He created both the good and the evil. He created Lucifer who was kicked out of heaven.
He's the one in his group and the angels that went with him. That's tempting man not to
make it through to their right destiny.
There you go. So as we go out, get people a final pitch out to pick up your book and
all that stuff.
Well, I got a, here's a copy. To kill the firstborn. In here is my life, the turnaround
I made, you know, a lot of things in here in regards to why kill the
firstborn. There is a chapter in here also that identifies churches and what I thought
it was. It's really not because of what was said in the past, because of how things were
done.
