1122. And I need to tell you why. Because you may not know. You have a reputation.
Turns out God is moving here in a unique way. Turns out people are getting saved in the droves,
dunked in the ocean. And it's pretty awesome the stories that are being told from here.
In fact, Joby told them to me, we were on a trip together with a bunch of pastors. And he told them to me,
we were by a pool. And he was like, you got to, you got to come, Jenny. You got to, you got to come.
There's prisons, there's young people coming to Jesus.
Like, it's real, it's happening.
And I'll just say this.
It has been so good to be with you.
And let me tell you my favorite part so far.
I got delayed a couple nights ago when I was coming in for the pastor's gathering.
I got delayed with a slew of your people.
Now, we were up together until 3 a.m.
In the Charlotte Airport, they were coming from Montana.
And so we're hanging out, and we're just evangelizing.
and all the people, it's the middle of the night, nobody's there, but like all the people on the
plane, I'm like, he looked anxious, let's go. Like, we zoom in. And I look at them and I'm like,
is this just a Tuesday for y'all? Like, y'all do this all the time. They're like, oh, yeah.
Because Pastor Jobb, he says, one more. One more. And let me just say, the contagious
faith that is in this place and in all the campuses that are watching in the prison,
hallelujah, all of these places, it's being told. People are talking about it.
That God is moving here. And let me just say, let me, I'm about to tell y'all some stories.
It's going to end with you. I've been on college campuses with this ministry called Unite.
I've been blessed to be in 20-something campuses and I've seen God do the impossible. FSU was my
favorite one just about. We're baptizing. We're baptizing in the fountain where everybody goes with
their 21st birthday wasted and dunks themselves. And they're like, man, I was here last year,
totally wasted and now I'm giving my life to Jesus, you know? So fun. People are just getting set.
We're just watching, we're baptizing them in troughs and trucks and ponds and not oceans yet.
I've missed out on that. But everywhere, I mean, it's just amazing. It's been so.
so fun to watch God move there. There's no doubt that right now, God is using Gen Z and
Gen Alpha, little girl, Gen Alpha to lead us all. In fact, if you are 22 years old or younger,
I want you just to stand up. Yeah, wow. Oh, shut. Dang. I want y'all, hey,
Listen, this is going to be, I've heard y'all are responsive.
This is going to be a super interactive.
Wait, don't sit down, you stay up.
This is going to be a super interactive night.
I'm going to ask a lot of you.
And whether you're in the prison or you're on a campus, whether you're in a living room,
I want you to do everything I ask this room to do.
So right now, wherever you are, whatever campus you are, 22 and below, I want everyone else to raise their hands.
Little girl, you're part of this.
Everybody.
22 and below.
I want you to bless them and let's pray for them
because they're the tip of the spear
of what God's doing on earth right now.
So God, we pray in Jesus' name
that you would anoint the next generation
to carry the gospel to the ends of the earth.
And God, we pray that the fire that is in them
would be contagious to us.
Use them to lead us.
You promised to do that.
Little children would lead us.
And God, we are believing in them.
And God, help us not watch them
from the stands, but get on the field with them.
In Jesus' name.
Amen.
All right.
So I've been on these campuses, and then I've been blessed to be in prisons with ministries like God Behind Bars.
Now, let me tell you, the first prison that I got to go to with God Behind Bars was a maximum
security prison in Las Vegas.
And there are about 200 inmates there.
This is the men's prison.
There's some female pictures as well, I want you to see.
So we're in Las Vegas, and I walk in and everybody's arms are crossed.
and I'm preaching the gospel, and I don't know what happened, but out of 200 inmates in this maximum security prison,
we baptize 115 of the 200 inmates.
If you don't call that revival, like, I want you to think about that.
I don't know what percentage of the room that is, 60% of the room.
responding to Jesus in a moment, in a night, come on.
But what?
Let me tell you this.
Let me tell you what I've learned.
College students and inmates have in common.
Everybody's like drugs.
Let me tell you what they have in common.
They're desperate.
I've been in over 40 rooms that I would term revival.
We're just mass response to the gospel, mass repentance.
Mass baptisms.
I've been in over 40 of those rooms.
And let me just say as a becoming a great student
of what God is doing on earth right now
across the world, not just in the U.S., by the way,
on every continent.
We hosted something called Gather,
and so we sent crews to every continent.
And I thought when they brought the pictures back,
they were from our events.
Germany, Paris, London, Liberia,
China and the underground church, it looks the same. You know why? Because guess what we're doing?
Repenting, altar calls, baptisms. And that still works, team. And y'all know that well.
And so desperation is leading the revival. They've tried everything the world has to offer and they're over it, they're sick of it, they don't want it anymore. They want God. And it's real. Like it's in their bones. They want God.
And then as a girl who loves to see hungry people come to Jesus, it is, it probably, you know,
it's just so fun that this is what I get to do because I'm like, there's nothing more fun on planet
earth.
This is what, by the way, this is what we get to do, team.
All of us.
We get to do that together.
We get to work with God.
I don't if you've thought about that.
You get to work with God.
It's so fun.
as someone who bleeds for people to come back to Jesus.
And I think about the numbers,
and I think about the things God's given me to reach the world.
And I feel the burden,
5.5 billion people that don't know Jesus,
that have not given their life to Jesus, conservatively.
5.5 billion people perishing to hell.
And I've just become a crazy person.
and I believe that people want God
and I believe that the church
across the planet has to rise up together
and fulfill the great commission
because it feels like God might be coming back soon.
It feels like Jesus might be doing this thing soon
and it feels like the times are urgent
and urgent times call for urgent means.
So we're waiting and we believe
that what we're seeing is just the beginning
It's the tip of the spear.
And so I pray and I beg and I say, God, like along with so many of you and so many others,
God, please send it to the church.
Let this be awakening.
Let it not stop with 18-year-olds, right?
Like, let it spread to all generations in all countries, in all places,
and all cities around the world in every village.
God, let it spread to the ends of the earth so that all would be saved.
and not perish. And so we beg God. And we take our place in the story. And let me tell you your place
1122. Whether you are incarcerated or you are 10 years old, if you know Jesus, your place is that
you have tasted revival. You've tasted what it means to see people go from darkness to light.
Pastor Jobi was telling me that just yesterday, over 200, or not yesterday, last Sunday,
over 200 people responded at this church to the gospel.
That's not normal.
I don't know if y'all know.
Like that's, you got to realize, that's just not normal.
So what should you feel if you're part of the very first few churches where revival has
jumped the river from colleges and prisons and hit the church?
You're the tip of the sphere.
you're the ones reconciled to Christ.
You get to reconcile others to Christ.
You're a big part of the story.
It's why I said yes, without blinking to Pastor Joby,
because I'd heard the stories,
and I just want to believe that it can jump the river
and hit the church, but let me tell you what I fear
and what I feel in certain rooms.
Sometimes people just don't want it bad enough.
They're not desperate enough,
and they're not willing to pay the cost.
And there is a cost.
I've seen it again and again and again.
And I'm going to tell you what it is because,
let me tell you, it is costly,
but it is the best thing you will ever do.
And it is this, before you amen, sir,
it's called repentance.
And every revival has had some form of it.
You can read about the Aberdees Revival.
were two women, one of them blind.
They were sisters prayed and prayed and begged God to move.
And how did it all break loose?
How were tens and tens of thousands of people saved from a little bitty island with a few
hundred people?
How did it spread like that?
Because they repented of their sin and they called upon Jesus.
I know the baptism Sunday feels amazing.
I know at the ocean the celebration of life change is amazing,
but what precedes the celebration of life change
is the recognition that we need our lives changed.
So we know we need our lives changed,
the gospel isn't good news.
It's just something we believe.
It's just a religion.
Hebrews 12 says, run the race that God set before you,
throwing off the sin and the weight
that so easily entangles you.
fixing your eyes on Jesus, the author, and the perfector of your faith.
There's so much rich theology in that.
This is actually what we're going to do tonight.
We're going to live out the beginning of Hebrews 12.
We're going to believe that the cloud of witnesses are leaning forward.
We're going to believe that there is a race that God has called us to run specifically,
each one of us, that there are good works prepared in advance for you to do, for you to accomplish.
And that it's possible that sin and weight, i.e. depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation,
that sin and weight have stolen from the purposes of God in your life.
And I'm here to beg you to get back in the game.
I am here to say it matters that every single person is in the game right now.
5.5 billion reasons for you to get in the game.
So we're going to look at the prodigal son.
You've heard the story. You've read the story. If you're new to faith. If you've walked into church,
you're going to love this story. But I hope and pray that we all relate to this. So here we go,
Luke 15. So there was a man. This is Jesus talking to the religious leaders. Now I want you to
picture the most religious people. They're decked out and all their religious garb and they're
standing there and they hate Jesus. Jesus has disrupted their religion. He has disrupted the way
that they're doing life. They are respected. They are the leaders of their towns. They have the
behavior and everything that they think is godlit. And they're sitting around and Jesus keeps telling
stories to make a point that they don't understand anything. And so he goes on in this story and he
says, there was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to the father, father, give me my share
in this state, give me my inheritance. So he divided the property between the brother.
And not long after that, the younger son got together, all he had, set off for a distant country,
and there squandered his wealth in wild living.
And then after he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in the whole country,
and he began to be in need.
And so he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country who sent him to the fields to feed the pigs,
and he longed to fill his stomach so much, y'all, he started eating out of the pigs' die.
Okay.
So there's a brother. I wish my father was dead. Give me what you will give me when you die. I'm gone. He takes off for a distant country. Now, I believe that every single one of us have this story. Some of us know it and some of us don't. But every single one of us daily picks a distant country. And it's actually the country right in front of our nose. And we pick it because we want control and we think, ah, like I want to control this life.
We pick it because we want pleasure.
We pick it because we want success.
Whatever reason, we're picking it because something in the distant country looks so good to us that we've got to have it.
And it's interesting because Romans 8 spells it out this way.
There's two roads.
There's not 10.
There's not 100.
There's two.
And every single day we choose the two roads.
we choose the spirit of sin and death,
we set our mind on the flesh, the distant country,
or we set our mind on the spirit,
and we have what?
You know it, Romans 8.
What do we have if we set our mind on the spirit?
Life and peace, Bible people.
Life and peace.
Or we set our mind on the flesh,
we go to the distant country.
What do we get?
Sin and death.
I love when things are made plain and simple for me.
And every day we make a choice.
I remember recently I read the Bible in a month.
You're supposed to go, ooh,
because that's Christian bragging.
And some of you are still on Leviticus
in the middle of your yearly plan.
I read the whole book.
So let me tell you, what happened?
I'm a seminary girl.
I graduated from Dallas Theological.
I know my Bible.
I have book charts from every book.
I know Habakkuk.
I can tell you what it's about.
What I'd never done was read my Bible that fast in 31 settings.
And what I can tell you from reading it three hours a day, that's how long it takes,
is you cannot go and dive into one story, one verse and what all it means,
because you just got to keep going, three hours.
Stay on track.
But you get the big picture.
It's like you've been watching episodes instead of the whole movie.
and I saw the whole movie and let me tell you what it said.
In Genesis, Adam and Eve, rebel, repent and believe.
Where are you? Come back to me.
And then the prophets come to Israel and Israel keeps rebelling and you're kind of like,
when you're reading it that fast, you're like, really, really?
Here we are again, really.
And over and over again, the prophets say on behalf of God, what?
Repent.
I want you all to say it out loud.
Repent and believe.
the same things. Repent. Turn. Come back. That's what repent means. Come back. Turn. And then you get to Jesus.
And what does Jesus say? To everybody he meets just about. Repent and believe. And then it gets to
Revelation. But wait, before that, Pentecost, Peter's standing up speaking to thousands. It's the first
big movement of the church, the first big revival of the church. And people were going to come to Jesus.
stands up and he says, repent, turn from your wicked ways, and believe. And then Revelation,
there's seven churches and they're all doing it wrong in different ways. And what does he say to
every church? He says, repent and believe. Now, when you read the story that fast, you go,
okay, I definitely am not missing what God wants from us. Moral behavior, repent and believe.
and when you repent and believe, it doesn't matter how bad your sin was inmates, you get God.
It's radical.
It's hard to believe.
It's so hard to believe.
This seven-foot kid at the University of Alabama walks up to me after we're done baptized in one night,
and he just has tears falling down his face that he's not wiping away, and I'm just looking way up at him.
and he says, Ms. Ginny, I didn't know God loved me.
That's all he said.
I think maybe we forgot that God loves us.
And there's this father waiting while we're in the pig's die in some distant country.
There's this father waiting.
In fact, you know how the story goes.
I'll give you the Jenny Allen version.
The father sees him in the distance when he's a long,
way off and he runs to meet him. He comes to his senses while he's eating out of the pig
pig's die and goes, I have a father at home and I don't know why I'm doing this anymore.
And that desperation that I see in college students, that desperation I see in prisons,
it rose up in this young son and he was like, why am I wasting my life when there is a home
and a father and a place that I can be cared for?
Are you crazy enough to believe that God loves you?
Are you crazy enough to believe he wants you back home?
And he's not just waiting.
In fact, what he does?
You ready?
He kills the fatted calf.
He puts his robe on him.
He's like, you're not going to be my slave.
You're my kid.
Come on.
We're having a party.
Like, repentance is invitation to a party.
to a celebration. And I've seen it again and again. I've seen it in rooms where everybody is
scared to say their sin and they're terrified. If they say it out loud, what is going to happen?
Yeah, it's going to cost you. It could be embarrassing. It could cost you your reputation.
It could cost you. And it feels impossible to say it. But let me tell you why. Because currently,
if you have sin or weight that is not known to anyone else,
it is living in you and you are alone in the dark with the devil.
And he is a liar.
John 844 says it five different ways,
that he is a liar, the father of lies,
that there is no truth in him,
that his language is lying.
He goes so out of his way so that we would know
that the enemy wants to lie to us.
So the power of shame is actually.
more powerful than sin.
Sin is forgiven.
Shame is the devil's game
that keeps you in the dark
so you won't say it out loud.
So you can't feel forgiven.
You can't experience the gospel
because you actually don't believe Romans 8-1
that there is therefore now no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Now let me say this.
I'm so sorry that that is hard for you to believe
because in general, not this church,
but in general Christians have not sent that message to the lost.
And so of course it feels hard to say the scent.
But we're running hospitals here, not performance halls.
And so we've got to be people who risk it.
Let me tell you, it happens all the time.
I was at Southeastern University.
This is a few months ago.
And I'm on the last day of the conference.
They brought me in.
I don't know what S-E-U is.
But right before I go up, I'm sitting there praying.
And I can't stand.
It's the same feeling I had when I got to visit Asbury.
I felt the spirit of God so thick in the room that I couldn't even sing or stand.
And I asked the Lord, I was like, God, I haven't felt this way only one other time at Asbury.
What do you want to do right now?
I'm about to go up.
And this is what he said to me, my spirit.
I'm about to pour out my spirit on this room so that this room can pour out my spirit to the ends of the earth.
And I was like, well, what do you want me to do?
He said, I want you to preach about it.
And so I lean over, I want you to tell them what I just said
and I want you to preach about.
I lean over to someone, and I'm like, now what denomination is this school?
And they said, Pentecostal, and I was like, oh, good.
Because I was like, I mean, y'all, I'm like this close to Baptist in my heart,
but God's done some things.
And when you see God do some things, like all of a sudden,
you get a little Pentecostal, you know?
You see enough darkness and you see enough things that the enemy is bringing your way.
And all of a sudden you're like all over this, like, which is whatever, God, like, I'll take it all.
Because here's the thing.
There's a spiritual war.
And we're in the middle of it.
And it's not pretend.
It's real.
And it's warring for you right now.
You know exactly what you need to say out loud.
And it is warring for you to never say it because the enemy,
doesn't want your freedom. Even if you are saved, you know you're secure. I do believe that,
but you will never experience the abundant life, the freedom that Christ has for you if you are living
in the dark alone with the devil. You'll be saved, but you'll waste your life. This last week,
I was preaching the church I grew up with in Little Rock, Arkansas, and I did an altar call at the end,
and a woman from the very back, similar type room,
walks down all the stairs with a cane.
She's 80-something years old,
hunched over to receive Jesus.
One step at a time.
She wasn't too proud.
Little Rock's a small town.
And I promise you there were probably hundreds of women
in that room and men that thought to themselves
she's already saved.
She came forward to give her life to Jesus.
She didn't care about her reputation.
She didn't care what anybody thought.
She wanted to be right with God before she died.
Do you want to be right with God?
He runs to meet the son.
He wraps him in a robe.
There's a father that awaits to throw a party.
But there's a verse in there.
There's a verse that says this.
Ooh, so good.
Verse 17.
when he came to his senses.
There's another brother at home with the father.
He sees the party that the father is throwing for the other son,
and he's jealous and he's mad, and he's like,
I've done all the good works, I've done everything right.
Why are you killing the calf for him?
Why would you not throw a party for me?
and you never see the religious son, the moral son, realize who the father actually is and what the
father actually wants. And there are some of you in here that your heart is pounding and you're like,
I already know what I need. I am desperate and I need God, but I'm going to speak to those of you
that feel nothing. We need God the most. We're the scarier brother in this story. We're the moral one.
We're the religious one.
We're the one with our heart, hard,
that thinks, I'm so glad they're getting saved.
I'm so glad they're changing their lives.
I'm so glad the next generation is coming to God.
Are we wanting God?
Because if this doesn't spread to all generations,
it won't be because God didn't want to move.
It'll be because of our pride.
We were more desperate than the drug dealer.
We were more desperate than the abuser.
We were more desperate because we were the ones
that didn't know we needed God.
And so here's what I want to do.
And it's brave work, I know.
But I just want to confess sin.
When I was out South of Eastern University,
they would go on after that day,
they would go on and they would worship
for the next 10 days and nights,
kind of like a little mini-Asbury.
And you can ask people that were there at SEU,
what happened?
Like, how did that happen
where nobody wants to?
wants to leave the room. And I know people can be critical of it. Everybody was. You can go back and see my
old post about it. Everybody's like, that's not revival. That's emotionalism. And I'm like,
I'm sorry. Imagine not looking at your phone for 10 days and nights and not wanting to leave the room.
You can't tell me that that is not an outpouring of God in a unique way. And there was this girl,
this woman in the back. This is her campus. This is a religious school. And this girl is in the back.
and my friend got to see this because he was charging his phone on the back wall
and he's standing right behind her.
And he sees this girl on the ground weeping while we were confessing sin.
And people were saying things that were real like people pleasing and lust,
and they were saying things that were real.
But everybody you ask about what happened to SEU,
why did they go on and worship God for the next 10 days and nights?
They'll all say because this girl,
who was weeping on the ground, stands up, cuts through all of the quiet confession,
and she yells, and she falls back to the ground, heave hoeing.
It took everything in her to do it.
And the whole room broke open, and God fell on that place in one of the most unique ways I've ever seen.
Because somebody was desperate enough to say the thing they thought they could never see.
say out loud to an entire room of people.
I'm not that brave.
I don't want God that much.
I don't want a reputation.
I don't want people to think low of me.
I care what you think.
I'm self-obsessed and I care what you think.
And God's saying,
do you want me more?
Will you turn and come home?
Come to your census and come home.
The context of this message was delivered
to and in front of the Pharisees, the most moral, the most religious.
And I believe that Jesus did that and he was still longing,
as frustrating as he must have felt their hatred toward him to be.
He never quit pleading with them also to come home.
And that's it tonight.
Like somebody's going to come play.
And here's what we're going to do.
We're going to ask the Lord, like God, where have I been going in the wrong direction?
Where have I loved something more than you?
have I been living in a distant country? What have I been addicted to? What have I wanted more than
you? You're just going to ask him, Lord, what is it? And we're going to come home together tonight.
And for some of you, it will literally be the first time you ever came home. And you don't even
know this dad yet, but he's awesome. He throws parties. He forgives sin. He heals the sick.
He helps the blind people see. Like, he is a good, good father. And you're going to love him.
And I'll tell you about it in a minute.
but for most of us it is a coming home from thinking in the name of God we are better than we are
for most of us it is addiction to many things it is drinking a little bit too much every night
it is what we are scrolling from comparison on Instagram to porn from most of us
we know our father but we keep going to pig size
and the coolest thing is
if I were your mom
I'd make you feel a little bit bad about it
when you came back I just would
I'd be like forgiveness and grace but
I don't like this this is bad
disappointed you know I'd make him feel bad
that's not our God
he runs to meet the son
he throws the road by
He has the party.
There's no pause to remind him what a disappointment he is.
Because what Jesus knows when he's telling this story is,
I'll pay the price in a few weeks.
I'll pay the price so that you all religious and rebellious.
You all get to come home.
I'll pay it.
And there won't be any shame.
So there is, therefore, now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
do we believe it?
Do we believe it?
Let me show you how you know and not even show you believe it
because it's not about that.
You stand on it and test to see if it holds.
That's what confession does.
You say it out loud and it's like,
I'm going to stand on Romans 8-1
and see if there's any condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
So let's test it.
There's a lot of ways to do.
repentance. That the pastor Jobe just said, do your craziest version tonight. So it's on him, not me.
And here's how we're going to do this. I want you to just yell it out, just like we did at SEU.
We don't always do it this way. But they say you're in revival. They say that you understand and
know the grace of Jesus. And I know it's going to be tempting because I like to play this game too,
to say the easy thing,
but I want you to say the real thing.
It's not people-pleasing, it's idolatry.
I want you to name the thing.
And here's the other thing I want you to do.
As people yell it out,
I want you, if you struggle with that same thing,
I want you to yell it out to or raise your hand,
like me too.
And here's what you're doing.
You're admitting to your whole church
that you are a sinner.
And it turns out the Bible already knows that.
And I know Pastor Jobby preaches it.
So you're in good company with many other jacked up people.
So here's how we're going to do this.
We're going to yell it out.
And I want you to, there's two things Hebrews talks about, sin and weight.
I love that he differentiates the two.
Because for some of you, you just screwed up.
Like my son, who vaped something, hope it was nicotine, don't know.
And I'm leading if gathering that night.
And he comes, I'm backstage and he's like,
Mom, I smoked a vape today.
No, he said, I hit a vape.
And I'm like, I've got to go lead all these people.
And I was like, baby, I'm so glad you're telling me that.
We're going to talk about this.
And it's beautiful that you just told me that.
We're going to talk about this in a little bit.
And then he goes and finds David Platt and Francis Chan,
who are after me and tells them too.
Because he actually believed, like, I can sin.
And it's burning a hole in my chest and I don't want to hold it.
I can't hold it till my mom's done.
And he had to get it off his chest.
May our sin make our bones weary.
May our sin burn a hole in our chest, God,
so that we come to you for healing and restoration.
And for those of you that really are just carrying weight,
suicidal ideation, anxiety, depression,
abuse. You're going to say that too because it's weight and sin that can hold us back from the
things that God wants to accomplish through us. So we're just going to name it all. Like whatever
we need to say, we're going to do it. Are you all with me? A few of you are. Go. Go.
Desperation.
God, we are desperate.
God, we are desperate.
We cannot fix ourselves.
We cannot heal ourselves.
This is your people.
who you love, crying out to you, weeping, crying out to you.
In rooms all over, we are crying out to you.
And we are asking you to do what we cannot do.
So we lament.
We are sorry that almost every hour we go back to some distant country when you're home to us and we keep running to it.
That God, right now I want to pray.
for every person who said abuse, who said suicide, who said self-harm.
God, in Jesus' name, we pray against the enemy's lies that have made them believe
that they are worthless, that they are unlovable.
God, we pray against the lie that they are too broken, invisible, whatever it is, God,
we pray that you would redeem in them, restore in them their worth and value before you.
God, I thank you for their courage.
God, for every person that said anxiety and depression.
We pray against a spirit of fear, a spirit of despair that has held so many captive for so long, God.
We pray against it in Jesus' name that captives could be set free.
And we know, we know that you have given us good tools, counselors and doctors and people to help with that.
But God, we pray that tonight there would feel a lightness and a lift come off their chest.
And for every person that named a sin, that named a way that they have unintentionally or intentionally chosen darkness,
God, would your forgiveness because of your son Jesus wash over them and make them new right now?
Would they believe that your blood is enough to cover their sin?
And would shame no longer have power over their lives any longer?
We are praying for new stories.
We are praying for impossible miracles.
We are praying that you would do a work in each of us that undoes the brokenness that could have been there for decades.
God, we are praying for you to do the miraculous. And so spirit, for the places that it feels
impossible to believe that you could change us, help us believe. You promise. You promise us.
That if we confess our sins one to another, that you will heal us. And so we are asking for that,
God, tonight. We are asking for spirit of refreshment to fall on this room. And that weary bones
would be able to dance and sing
and that the broken things that were named
would no longer have power over us in Jesus' name.
We believe that you are powerful enough
and we are committing to walk with you tomorrow
when it shows up again.
Thank you that there is no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Thank you that a people of God
can yell out all of these things
and shake our fists at the devil's face.
Thank you for the courage and the faith to test that your gospel holds and your gospel holds.
So would shame not take advantage of this?
For the people that yelled out their sin, God,
would no condemnation come to them in the night in the morning?
Would they smile that they are free and they are free indeed?
and for anyone that isn't sure why there is no condemnation, why we don't have to pay for the sins that we have just named.
It's because a God who shaped galaxies, he built planets so many that they're uncountable, came to this one as a baby.
He came to this one to get us back.
And he would live the perfect life that he knew we couldn't live.
And he would lay down his life so we wouldn't have to.
And in his stripes, in his suffering, in his death, we would be made free.
And anyone who calls on the name of Jesus and trusts him for the forgiveness of their sins,
their sins are forgiven.
And some of you know that.
You could give it in the mic tonight.
but you haven't known it in your belly for yourself.
And some of you, you've never trusted Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
And so tonight, if that's you, if you want to trust Jesus as your Lord and Savior,
would you just slip up your hand wherever you are if this is the night you want to trust Jesus?
Okay, awesome, awesome, yeah.
So we're going to pray together.
Anyone that wants to call on the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins,
Jesus, I believe you're the son of God.
of God. I believe you came to earth. I believe you died for my sins. And I am a sinner. And I need a
savior. So I put my trust in you, the one who rose from the dead because I want to be right with you.
So God help me believe every day that your blood was enough to pay for all my sin. I want to
follow you with the rest of my life. Amen. That's the gospel. Now, to the rest of us. Team,
everything just named in this room is all over this earth. There are people in bondage all
over the earth. We're up. We need you to not believe the enemy anymore. We need you to
run the race that God has set before you.
We need you in the game because people are perishing
and in bondage. And let me tell you just an awesome thing about God.
So surprising. The very thing you think disqualifies you is going to be the story
that you tell about his goodness. Because there is no condemnation for those
who are in Christ Jesus. And so we boast in our weakness.
What an odd faith we have.
So for all of you out there that named your sin like this room just did,
for all of you that are watching from a prison,
I commission you to the work of Jesus Christ in the name of Jesus Christ
to go tell the story of the grace that you have found.
Because all of us, once we're sinners, dead in our transgressions,
but God,
But God, but God, rescue us to a new life.
Let's, hey, act like it.
Let's act like it.
And let's tell everybody.
I think it's time to sing.
Forgiven people, thank God.
But I also want to say, you named hard things tonight.
I believe in rooms all over.
named hard things tonight.
And the power of God and the spiritual and the supernatural,
they can heal hard things.
You can make progress and take ground
that doesn't make sense because of the miraculous.
And we need each other.
Addiction is a slog.
You need people to fight with.
And so if you saw or heard somebody named something,
I want you to walk up to him tonight before they leave,
and I want you to grab them by the shoulders
and say, I want to fight with you.
Like I'm here for you.
You're not going to do this alone.
Praise God for the church.
Praise God for this church.
That we don't have to do it alone.
So God caused trouble to hell with these brave souls.
Thank you for their courage.
God bless them for it.
Would they experience more of you, more freedom?
And with a fire that is so clearly ablaze in this place,
get to the ends of the earth. We pray it. We believe it can happen in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Thank you.
