Starting point is 00:02:25 they do a great job have a great show and they made it past 100. On this episode of the commercial break it's difficult it's tricky. It has to be careful. Yeah watch the movies. Red right Sorry, whatever they say when you're driving the ship. You gotta be careful. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, but... You gotta be careful around the drinking. That's when it happens. Well, that's when it happens.
Starting point is 00:02:53 We have done a ton of that. We navigated those waters just fine. We did. I think mainly you just go, well, if I get drunk and... If I get this drunk, we're gonna have sex. But if I get this drunk we're gonna have sex but if I get this drunk it'll never happen Now that sounds like it This is it we can work okay. There was a who there was a who
Starting point is 00:03:20 There there was a who There there there was a whoo because there was a whoo because someone once they recognize the song I think they're like yeah, they go oh that shitty band is now playing a song we actually like oh Now they play something we like That's 33 p feet they're cooking now they're on fire Okay, you you make the next call you want sugar boy Sugar boy or savvy sweet soul sunshine Weed soul sunshine. Why is the modern classic look? I can't get here first.
Starting point is 00:04:12 The next episode of the commercial break starts now. Oh, the commercial break! I'm Brian Green, this is Kristen Houdley, Ann. All the others go to the commercial room! Woo! Woo! Woo! I'm Brian Green, this is Kristen Houdley, and Happy Holidays! Best of you! Best of you! I'd best you out there in the podcast universe. Thanks for joining us on another episode of the commercial break.
Starting point is 00:04:37 We were just laughing hysterically because of our production designer, Astrid, the mean crew of staff over here. Has now taped a sign to the wall, it's selfie, selfie, selfie, selfie. Take the selfie. The YouTube game is a complicated one. You got to pull on 11 and pull it. We're above 1000 subscribers. I do have to say that. Thank you to everybody who's subscribed on the YouTube channel.
Starting point is 00:05:07 We certainly do a question. That wasn't Franky B. Yeah, no, no, no, no. No, he's at like 1800 now. Or maybe even 2,200. I think we boost that. I think we did. I think we did.
Starting point is 00:05:17 He hasn't put out an episode in months. And I wonder if we might have scared Franky off. I wonder if maybe his feelings got hurt. Maybe he was like, I don't want to be made fun of all the time. I don't know, I'll reach out. There's a campaign. I gotta fuck the, I never, I don't say no word to you Frankie. Anyway, selfie, selfie, selfie so that we can get this thumbnail,
Starting point is 00:05:34 we can up our thumbnail game on YouTube. Okay. Well, we took a picture of me with my arm around, oh, that should said, that should. I was leaning out. That should satisfy the, that should said, that should be. I was leaning in. Yeah, that should satisfy the, when do they fuck crap? What's your episode? Do they have sex?
Starting point is 00:05:53 I want that one. It's a question we get a lot, actually. You've been guessing. Yeah, but it's a question we've been getting a lot for a long time. It's not only the podcast made that even different. Yeah, a lot of people are like, so. It's hard to believe, I guess,
Starting point is 00:06:05 the two, a man and a woman. I mean, it's like when Harry Metz-Sally kind of thing. Can they be just friends? I believe we can. Yeah, we've done it. We've done it. Yeah, I'm not gonna fucking know. It's not changing now.
Starting point is 00:06:17 Yeah, not going for it now. Definitely not changing now. I'm not going for it now. And that stands true with a lot of the friends that I have that are female. That we have, I mean, we can call them. You that stands true with a lot of the friends that I have that are female that we have I mean you do you have a lot of Girlfriends and I have a lot of guy friends actually too, so it's yeah, just our personality I think you can navigate those waters. Yeah, I think you can navigate those waters. It's difficult. It's tricky
Starting point is 00:06:38 It is yeah, yeah watch the Red red right return Whatever they say when you're driving the ship, you gotta be careful. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, but if you gotta be careful around the drinking, that's when it happens. Well, that's when it happens.
Starting point is 00:06:54 We have done a ton of that. We navigated those waters just fine. We did. I think mainly you just go, well, if I get drunk and if I get, if I get this drunk, we're gonna have sex. But if I get this drunk, we're gonna have sex, but if I get this drunk, it'll never happen.
Starting point is 00:07:09 At least that's what I don't know. Anyway, but we have had friends. I don't, I certainly not gonna, I'm not one to kiss and tell. Yeah, I'm one to kiss and tell. But I'm not one to kiss and tell now. But we have had friends where I didn't navigate those waters correctly.
Starting point is 00:07:25 And then it all went to hell in a handbasket. It always goes down and- And it was subconsciously saw that too. And I was like, eh, eh, eh. The second the pantaloons come off. The pantaloons. The second your pantaloons come off. It's a whole different ballgame.
Starting point is 00:07:39 And then good luck navigating the waters. Then it's like trying to, I don't know. Backtrack. Yeah, it's like trying to dock this celebrity cruise ship in a lake marina in the middle of a hurricane. It's tough. It's tough. Oh my God, I saw a story earlier,
Starting point is 00:07:54 I didn't really read the whole thing, but it was something about, people had bought a group of people I'd gotten together and bought a cruise ship. Oh wow. Thanking they were gonna make like a utopian community. I remember that. And all the headlines said was it didn't go well.
Starting point is 00:08:07 It was like, well, yeah. Yeah. They all ended up shitin' on each other. And no one knew how to drive the boat. And there was a guy who died a number of years ago, but his dream, his whole dream, and he raised a lot of capital for this. And it never came true,
Starting point is 00:08:23 but his whole dream was a floating country, essentially. And it was going to be the biggest boat that had ever been. It was going to have literally a landing strip on top of it. So commercial jetliners could land on top of it. So there was going to be an airport. There was going to be a city that was going to be a part where you lived and a part where you visited. There was going to be like a whole, I mean, it was going to be 10 cruise ships.
Starting point is 00:08:44 And then also a big condo complex with... Is that Dubai? that was gonna be like a whole, I mean, it was gonna be 10 cruise ships. Yeah. And then also a big condo complex with- Is that Dubai? Yeah, they poured a bunch of sand in the middle of the water and made all these islands and now no one lives there in the properties incredibly expensive. Those people in Dubai, I gotta give them credit because I mean, they also did it on the back
Starting point is 00:09:02 of like Afghani workers who were paid nothing and it was a horrible situation. But the people in Dubai have done amazing feats of engineering in a short period of time. And I think the thinking was at least the king prince or whatever his name is of Dubai. The king prince. And the king prince. Let it be known. We shall build islands where there are no islands.
Starting point is 00:09:29 We shall use workers who get paid no money. I don't know the story. I don't know. I don't know. I'm just a guy talking about, talking about show and podcast. But what happened to the guy you were talking about? He said eventually the oil is going to run out And we know the oil is gonna run out. And we're getting there closer to it every single day.
Starting point is 00:09:48 And we better have something else in place of it if the oil runs out. True. And so what he, what he, him and his son thought up all of this together. They were like, we're gonna have the best hotels in the world. We're gonna have the best real estate in the world.
Starting point is 00:10:02 We're gonna be the place where people wanna come and party party party. That's how I got late night drum food. Conversation. Hey. Here's what we're gonna do. Here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna take all the oil money that belongs to someone else and we're gonna build the biggest these new world that's ever been and this is gonna be called Brian world and the Haldi world. Yeah. And this is gonna be like 10 Disney worlds and if we don't have any land rules that's right best in the biggest we're gonna go up 170,000 stories in the year and then we're gonna build a space hotel and then and then and then and then
Starting point is 00:10:37 oh shit I'm late for my job at McDonald's I'm late for my job at McDonald's. I'm late for my job at Chili's. Exactly. And then you work at Chili's for another four years and realize the world is not a cocaine stupor. That's the way it is. He said, but he smartly. Dream big, they say. Dream big and they did. Dream big, they say.
Starting point is 00:10:57 Things will come true, they say. I don't have the bank account of the King Prince of Dubai, but I've heard that it is just an amazing place. I don't think you can drink there, which I guess for me right now that really wouldn't matter, but I'm sure you can drink there. You've got to be able to drink there. There's got to be places where you drink. You don't host so many people go there
Starting point is 00:11:15 and they love it. So many people. So many people travel to Dubai and they love it. They have nothing but good things to say. It's amazing. It's beautiful. The things that they've done,
Starting point is 00:11:23 the hotels that they've created, the recreation. I mean, they've got the largest indoor snow globe and like all kind of bullshit snow globe. I just got a snow globe. Yeah, the snow. Yeah, the ski slope. The ski slope. Largest indoor ski slope. And at one time, they had planned the world's largest theme park. They did not work out. They actually started building it, but they had Disney Universal, they had six flags, they had all the players lined up to do it all under one on brother. It was just gonna be one huge theme park, you know,
Starting point is 00:11:52 78,000 square miles or something of nothing but rides. And it didn't work. Oh, we should have had it, didn't work out. But the things that they've done are amazing. It is a testament to the human spirit. And the thing, if you can dream it, you can do it. And I guess you just have to have an endless reserve of oil behind you in order to do that. But then, you know, if you had the money, if you had all the money and all the time in the world and all the
Starting point is 00:12:12 resources in the world, what would you do? You'd build Dubai. That's what it is. And so I'd like to thank our new sponsor Dubai. Dubai Airlines. And Dubai Airlines. I mean, they have the most expensive air ticket, the most expensive ticket in the world, and have you ever seen the video of the guy who takes the plane flight on the world's first class cabin? I think I did, I think I did, it looked amazing. Imagine a train where you get your own cabin, right, on an airplane, but it has a shower and a bed
Starting point is 00:12:43 and a television and a couch and a dinner service. It's an actual cabin. You actually go and close the fucking door and it's your own room. You have a bedroom for one of the longest flights in the world, which I think is like, I don't know, whatever it is. Australia to Dubai or something like that. If you go the other way around the world, I don't know, who knows? But what I'm saying is what I'm trying to say here is that they do amazing things over
Starting point is 00:13:06 there in Dubai, and I'd love it if they would come out as a sponsor. Speaking of sponsors, go to TCPpodcast.com. It's where you can find more information about Chrissy and I. You can read the show notes, any of the sponsors that we have, all of those codes and special URLs are there on the show notes associated with the episode. You can find those at TCPpodcast..com or usually any of the podcast providers that you're listening to like, Castbox or Apple or Google. They usually have the show notes attached with all the links and the special codes.
Starting point is 00:13:31 So if you ever wonder where to find that information, that's where it is. And that gives us a good opportunity to talk to you about the new deal that we've got going on. We like to call it, we're upping our sticker game here at tcbpodcast. And here's how it goes. Chrissy and I had this idea. We really like stickers. Stickers are cool. You know, you go somewhere and you get a cool sticker from a band or you know podcast, whatever. You get a cool sticker and you like it. I usually don't
Starting point is 00:13:54 stick them on anything. I just keep them like, you know, I go over here. You know, I just put the stickers over there. So Chrissy and I have designed Chrissy and I and the team, Astrid and Gustavo, are designing a series of stickers. Those stickers will come out in sequential order, one through whatever, have designed Chrissy and I and the team, Astrid and Gustavo, are designing a series of stickers. Those stickers will come out in sequential order, one through whatever, probably however and ever, and will change those every month or two, and will only order a number of them. So maybe 100 or 200 or 250, and when the sticker is gone, the sticker is gone. When number one is gone, it's gone.
Starting point is 00:14:18 You go on to number two. When number two is gone, it's gone. And here's how you get the stickers. There's a couple different ways. Chrissy and I are going to be at Mempho on October 1st through the third 2021 MenfoFest.com for more information. We are going to be there. We are going to have a tent set up there. We're going to be roaming the crowd. We'll give away the first two stickers. Our Menfo Fest TCB stickers will give those first two away at Menfo. Additionally, if you'd like one of those
Starting point is 00:14:43 first two stickers, you can go you can comment, like, rate, or review on your favorite podcast platform, Apple's preferable, but wherever you are, CastBox is another great one. We're actually partnering with them to go to Menfo. So any of those podcast publishers, if you like, rate, review, or leave a comment, including Spotify, any, or YouTubeam, yeah. Bobbeam, all of them, anywhere. Or youtube.com slash the commercial break. When you do that, take a screenshot, send it to 661 Best to Yo. 661 Best, the number two, Yo. If you send that to us with your address
Starting point is 00:15:18 and your name, we will send you one or both of those first two stickers. Additionally, and this is the important part. And we think this is a cool way to get people engaged in our sponsors. We'd like you to use our sponsors regardless. They're the people who support the show and make this content available frequently.
Starting point is 00:15:36 And who knows, maybe in the future we'll be doing the content more frequently. But we never talk about anything we wouldn't use ourselves. We're not just hocking you shit. We're not gonna hock you, get rich quick real estate seminars or pyramid schemes or you know, dietary supplements or any of that shit. If you take a picture of any of the products or the services or the receipt from any of the products or services that are sponsors on our show and you send it to 661 Best
Starting point is 00:16:00 2-Yo or info at tcbpodcast.com. That's an email address. If you do that, then we'll also send you a sticker. So those are the ways that you can get the stickers or I'm going to give you one final way and that's leave a message at 661 best to yo include whatever you want to say. Just make sure you include your name, your address and the phrase best to you. And when you do that, we'll probably play it on the show and we'll send you a sticker. Those are the ways to collect the stickers
Starting point is 00:16:28 and starting right now. So go and make sure you do that. Starts now. Make sure you go and do that. Also on Instagram at the commercial break for content you can't get anywhere else we do appreciate it. So now you got the skinny, now you got the scoop. Here's the deal.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Last episode or maybe a couple episodes ago, depending on how I feel like I'm gonna put these out. It's hard to tell, because sometimes I decide to put out episodes and random order, but it just depends on how I feel that particular night when I'm editing. But- Depends on what episode of 21 jumps.
Starting point is 00:16:59 He's just gonna jump three. He's just not gonna watch it. You better be there when you're back. There was a good episode. You're feeling good about it. Yeah, if I'm feeling happy. It was a downer episode. Yeah, that's right.
Starting point is 00:17:10 If it was like one of the comedy ones, or the character for Joey Delusa, or whatever his name is, is yucking it up with the drug dealers, I feel good. Johnny Depp is in another moody, steamy, attitude-y type shitty, you know, having a shitty day, then I might not feel so good because I just want Johnny to feel good about life
Starting point is 00:17:30 and he doesn't because his dad died. Now he's stuck being a teenager for the rest of his life and showing up at this old abandoned church where they have video games and stuff for the, you know, he wants to be a real cop and yet he's just like a nark. I'm a nark man. Uh, meditate man. Meditate man. Meditate man. Chill out dude.
Starting point is 00:17:47 Hey everybody, I want to thank DBS Alliance for coming on board as a new sponsor for the commercial break. If you've listened to the commercial break for any period of time, then you know I am unabashed about telling stories regarding my life. One of the things I've mentioned in the past is that my mother has struggled with mental illness her entire adult life. It led to some tough times in my household when I was a teenager,
Starting point is 00:18:11 and I certainly wish it had been less stigmatized than it is now. It's 2021 and it's nothing to be ashamed of because one in five American adults may have mental illness. That's about 21 million of us. You shouldn't be ashamed to reach out and ask for help. Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States in all age groups and it can be prevented. Speaking up and asking for
Starting point is 00:18:36 help does prevent suicides. And DBS is providing free support groups, wellness tools and inspirational stories to guide you on your path to holistic mental health wellness. This is what you can do. You can go to dbsaliance.org slash suicide-prevention. That's dbsaliance.org slash suicide-prevention. To learn more about how you can start conversations about mental health and suicide awareness in your community. This is an important conversation and it always has been. And when speaking up and reaching out for help saves lives it's important to do so.
Starting point is 00:19:15 dbsaliance.org slash suicide-prevention. We want to thank dbsaliance for coming on board as a sponsor and giving these free tools as an important conversation starter. So we decided we were going to, I was gonna do something that I told you I was going to do. And that was if I found the material from Chopper Johnson or 33 Willie or Slowhead or any of the bands that I had been, slowhead. What?
Starting point is 00:19:43 What? Slowhead. What, what? Slow-ed. That did not stand the test of time. I'm just gonna let you know that right now. Thank you. Slow-ed was not the name that stood the test of time. But what I did do is I found some old material from me singing and playing guitar in a band called 33 Welley. I also explained on past episodes
Starting point is 00:20:10 that one of our only gigs, we had like three, one of our only gigs was we played what I referred to as a retirement home, but it was actually a party where someone's parents were out of town, it was 15 at the time. Someone's parents were out of town, and it was like 11, 15 in the afternoon. I guess their parents were out of town just it was like 1115 in the afternoon. I
Starting point is 00:20:25 guess her parents were out of town just in the morning so we had to get the party done quickly. Everybody took the furniture out of the room or put the furniture up against the wall. We set up our little stage right there and from the stage. We set up on the fire and rug. And we quickly scared everybody out of the house. And then that's when you really felt comfortable letting loose. Yeah come on. In the inner Anthony Keitas remember how much I hate Anthony Keitas when I sound like him.
Starting point is 00:21:02 It's so bad. Anyway, I just, I think we've already done this once, and now I still feel so embarrassed. Oh, I think so. Would you like to hear some additional 33 pages? Well, I mean, why we're at it.
Starting point is 00:21:15 We're already in it. We have as well. I don't know that we're revisiting this. We're not revisiting this. Yeah, we're just going, we're, this is a continuation of this shit show we started on another episode. Okay, here we are at the retirement home.
Starting point is 00:21:28 All the show also known as the day party. I'm 15 years old. The band includes. Thank you for doing a good job for being 15. Thank you for lying to me. I pray that's one thing that good friends always do each other. They lie to make each other feel better. I think the music itself has some redeeming qualities.
Starting point is 00:21:47 It does. And you gotta remember the time, it's 1992. It's a confidence to do that. Yeah, of which we had zero. What do you do when you're 15? Yeah. You still have confidence. Michael Jackson, Brittany Spears, Christina Eggman,
Starting point is 00:22:00 and Justin Timberlake. The guys from Silverchair. Just don't think about that. Okay, I want to talk about those guys. I was thinking about me. Silverchair. Silverchair. That was a weird band too, I don't know where.
Starting point is 00:22:18 So here we are, the band consists of me singing and playing guitar. I think there is another guitarist, I wish I I wish I got a member his name. He came in in and out or someone came in and it's just The first guitarist died The first guitarist got he was to he got upset with all the fortune and fame. Yeah, it's like too much too fast He turned out to be a narc at the 21 Jump Street. You're into a risk for playing too loud. Here we go. So it's me.
Starting point is 00:22:55 It's Dan playing bass. I'm not going to give their last names away because they may not appreciate this whole game you're doing right now. But really the part that you should focus on is the horrible guitar and singing that's coming from my 5.4. Horrible. Okay, here we go. You want to hear us do a cover song or do you want to hear an original? Oh, I think what do you recover? Okay, this is killing in the name of the race. Listen to how I get the crowd hyped up by the oil own bitches. There was a woo. There was a woo. There was a woo.
Starting point is 00:23:46 Or was it the song? There was a woo because someone once they recognized the song. And then they're like, yeah. Oh, that shitty band is now playing a song we actually like. Oh, now they play something we like. They were like, oh, we recognize this song. This is the only time. I'm sure of it if what I can remember This is the only time when there's actual people in the room is more playing the song Fitches! That sounds good! Yeah, okay, we're doing alright. Here we go. I'm in the room.
Starting point is 00:24:37 Let me hear you. Don't worry, I'm coming in to ruin it any moment. I know you said exactly like Zach De La Roche. No, not really. Not really. Not exactly. We're in the name of... We're so hard.
Starting point is 00:25:02 Three white boys in private Catholic school killing in the name of It's like that time I was wearing the African boom bodice symbol or My black friends are like no Nope, do not do that and I was like I'm with you and they're like, yep, but you're not of us You might be with us, but you're not of us. We highly suggest you stop offending us. You've been cool so far, no? Don't ruin it. Don't ruin it. Don't start own black, not you. You okay? What about public? Don't even go there. Stick to third base. Here I come, I'm gonna add a little tune here because you know I think I did it correctly the first time so I'm gonna bring it up a notch.
Starting point is 00:26:18 I'm gonna add some vocals to it, listen to me. It's a different part. It's hard to top a masterpiece, but Brian finds the icing. Oh, I mean, 50-year-old Brian found it. I'm in the pocket. Yeah, I found it. I'm in the pocket. That's what they call it.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Yep, I'm right there. I'm gonna sing it. I'm gonna sing it. I'm gonna sing it. Oh Come on from puddle of mud singing killing in the name of And not the young version of West can't the current version of West can't Oh Killin' in the name of another do with the toja

You never know bitches listen to be gee Now I want you to imagine all those people that were screaming in the beginning No Just the angry white guy standing in front of me like But then as soon as we play an original song everybody everybody's gone again. They're all like, well, that sucks. I didn't really like the way he sung that song. I don't think Zach was singing the song. I think he was screaming in indefinite rage
Starting point is 00:28:36 and all the injustice he had experienced in his life. And Brian sang it like a choir. Some of those that want forces are the same that birds cross these. Some of those that want forces are the same that birds cross. Let's fuck us do what they do. Come on you do it, you do it, you do it. Bitches. Bitches. You know what this told me? Really? This is like a snapshot in time. It told me that even in 1992 we were using the phrase,
Starting point is 00:29:09 yeah, bitches. I thought it was a relatively recent term, but I think it's been this an for a long time. Yeah, that's better. I made it up. Yeah. You wanted to hear it. Tell me, uh, James Headfield from Metallica. James Headfield from Metallica! James Headfield from Metallica! Cover's killing in the name of the two of them!
Starting point is 00:29:30 You wanna do what they told you?! Master! Master! Don't you want to go? Don't you want to go? Don't you want to go? Don't you want to go? Don't you want to go? Don't you want to go? Let's take it up for register.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Go to the door. I just a fan. Go to your right and you go to the right. Let's a fuck. Ryan, you think. Okay, this song, by by the way goes on forever. So I'm not gonna kill you with nine minutes of killing in the name. I just know it ends as poorly as it began.
Starting point is 00:30:12 I get more sing-songy as the song goes along. Those who died are just a fan. Killin' your man when you know you're well. The angry one guy We go from killing in the name of the sweet cherry pie by Warren That's 33 p. They're cooking now. They're on fire. They are. They are. Okay. You make the next call. You want sugar boy?
Starting point is 00:30:53 Sugar boy or sepis? Weed soul sunshine. What modern classic. That's a hard decision. It's really a win-win. I mean, you can't pick wrong now. It's really a win-win. I mean, she can't pick wrong now. What? Happy sweet maple sunshine.
Starting point is 00:31:30 Happy sweet soul sunshine. Because if you just name it for us, it's that's cool. What do you do that with? Oh god, that's a cool thing. You think the other one. I haven't seen. Okay, I don't even remember what this song. You think he'll never. I haven't done. Okay, I don't even remember what this song sounds like.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Sticky, sticky. It's this sticky, sticky, sticky, sticky, sweet, so fun, Chad. This is my almond brother. This is my almond brother's voice. You've got my offspring, my chili peppers, my Caitlin and the name of, and James, that's Fields' voice. And now we're going almond, but we're in hains, really. We're in hains, Pant. I think that's what I was going for.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Yeah, okay. Oh! Fancy! Oh! Okay. D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D- just keep playing Kee-bee. Kee-bee. Kee-bee. Kee-bee. Kee-bee.
Starting point is 00:33:08 Kee-bee. Kee-bee. Kee-bee. Kee-bee. Kee-bee. Kee-bee. So dramatic. Oh, yeah, you had to kick it in there.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Yeah. Duh-duh-duh. Kee-bee. Kee-bee. Kee-bee. Kee-bee. Kee-bee. Kee-bee. Kee-bee. Kee-bee. I'm probably hiding under the couch. Like do I really have to sing this?
Starting point is 00:33:38 I haven't kicked in yet. I was just kidding about those lyrics. Oh no! RAAAARGH! Don't be shy. You've gone into Eddie better over. Yes. Woo! Yes This is when the this is when the lighters broke And people tried to set me on fire Do you think you could accidentally set on fire and shut up?
Starting point is 00:34:25 I'm about to be at second base dude. I was gonna go to second base and do you start playing super-safery sweet soul shit or whatever? I'll tell you I had soul-signed shit or whatever though. That song is called, you made my girlfriend cry. Not in the good way. And though I woke up at night in the morning for this. I'm supposed to be retaking my SATs.
Starting point is 00:34:54 Ha ha ha. I can feel the emotion. It's there. Dying on the street. Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry,
Starting point is 00:35:22 sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, I'm clearly. Well, you're blasting at the seams, you're a 15. I am blasting at the seams and all different seams. Yes. I wanna be that guy, right? I wanna be that guy who's got some talent and who's like, you know, I just wanna express myself through music and I'm so awash with emotion
Starting point is 00:35:37 about all of the music that I'm listening to. Yes. Like, it's a, if you grew up during that period of time, just like any period of time when you grew up, there's that set of, there that that list of songs right that comes out that everybody else around you is feeling the same way about But that'd be angst or you know happy or sad or whatever it is love You all feel the same way about it. It's a thing you have in common and then you go see the bands like Open up my eyes, I saw the signs.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Doesn't gonna wake me up, nothing gonna go me wrong. Yeah. Yeah. Jump. 21, two, three. So there's that set of songs. And I'm feeling it just like everybody else does.
Starting point is 00:36:22 And just like. Yeah, in the 60s and 70s, I'm sure there were a lot of like Bob Dylan imitators and Cosby stills gnashing Cosby stills a gnash also has had a song called sappy sweet soul sunshine If you recall, that's right. Took the idea. This is actually an old CCR revival Greetings clear water. ["Slowly in the Sun, the day of the morning, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the sky, go in the Yes, I should have smoked before I come here. Maybe I would have sung better Where you going back and forth on the microphone? Oh, yeah, I was dramatic. I was glad I was was feeling it, mainly cause there was no one else there.
Starting point is 00:37:25 There was no stage to fall off of it that time. And I wasn't kidding. Not yet. That would come years later. I was just practicing for my eventual. Oh my god, this goes on for another six minute. What can I possibly be singing about for a six minute? Okay, let's go on to another one
Starting point is 00:37:44 because I think you get the gist of that song. How about one more? Oh. Was it one more than we gotta do? Oh yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no of all, a man and Renaissance man, a deal. But first let's hear someone who's clearly never read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the read the These guys are awesome! Yeah! It's... It's 12-15 in suburban Atlanta, Georgia! Somewhere! A guitar rocks my face off! They were known as 33 penis!
Starting point is 00:38:36 Slow-head if you know, man! And the lucky... And the lucky three people got to witness what went down that day. There could have been more, but they all stood outside going, wow. Dave. I really wanted to play. What do you want me to do? Did you think about getting a CD from over something? I don't think they had a CD. They said they were going to play party tunes. No, woolly bully here. No, no, no, no daft prints touch here. You won't
Starting point is 00:39:11 hurt here purple rain in this. No siri Bob killing the name of sing songy like a himmichurge. That's Brian Green's vocals. The voice of a generation. Yeah. Silence. Silence by the big media corporations. Left-wing media. I think this just might be an instrumentals. Oh wow listen to the breakdown. Oh yeah. Good for you guys. I mean you don't sound like you're 15 so that's good. I'm like you're 16.
Starting point is 00:40:16 Seven, eight. Okay, it's just bad. We know it's just bad. It turned out to be bad. It was never good. I never claimed it was good. It was really bad. If you'd like to hear more 33 penis, you are welcome to write into the commercial break. There are 22 songs of which we've played six. We'd be happy to revisit some of this. And when I get a hold of some Chopper Johnson material, that one's a little more tricky because I didn't write a lot of that music.
Starting point is 00:40:56 I wrote the lyrics and sang, but I did not write all the underlying music, right? Or I think most of these songs were either written by all three of us or maybe in some cases I brought the idea, Dan brought the idea or even Mike I'm sure had a few ideas too. The like it manner. Like anybody's fighting for the coffee right? I'm sure Mike had a few ideas. Yeah Mike is texting me and he's like let me know when he played that man. I'm gonna be right here. Mike is texting me and he's like, let me know when you play that man. I'm gonna tell the guys at the office. We're gonna have a good chuckle.
Starting point is 00:41:28 At least Mike was playing well. Hey, why? At least Dan had the bass going. Yeah. Yeah, I was going to. Yeah. Sorry, Dan. Killing in the name.
Starting point is 00:41:41 We're both. Killing in the name of the only guy in the world are turned to raise against machine cover into a red hot Cheelie pepper's funk tune sung by James Hattfield from Metallica. Dancing like the guy from Creed with one leg up on the amplifier. Little 15 year old penis. Folding through my crotch rocket jeans. I can promise you at most five people in there. Listen, that was fun. Oh God, that was good. That was good. Yeah, listen, the guy will the, will the champ,
Starting point is 00:42:31 I call him Will the thrill. He's part of our, he's part of our backpack here. Yeah. A clear riff off from Howard Stern. But he was his idea, actually. I like the idea. There's a backpack and Will is one of them. He's a competitive eater.
Starting point is 00:42:41 He's a big boy. We love him because he's a super fan of the show and he's always sending an idea. He's always sending an idea and he's always communicating with us. We like Will very much is the point. And after we had Will on our show, he's actually our first caller, I think. And after we had him on our show, he reached out to me and he said, Hey, Brian, here's a couple of other ideas he might want to use for the show. And I heard your, what, Regatoni is a name of an episode where we highlighted bad singers, which is how this whole episode came about in the first place.
Starting point is 00:43:11 I said, if I ever find that material, I'll be sure to play it. If I'm making fun of other people singing, you got to hear mine, because mine's just as bad, right? And so Will said, if you'd like to hear some of my singing, here it is. And after further investigation,
Starting point is 00:43:24 I actually found a couple songs. So there's one R&B song and there's one rap song. The rap song is more of like a novelty rap song. He's singing about competitive eating. He's like challenging other people. It's like a throwdown. It's like a rap battle, right? So do you want to hear that as shorter
Starting point is 00:43:39 or do you want to hear the R&B song right off the bat? And I'm going to tell you right now, he sings very good. Let's go R&B. Let's go R&B. Here it is bat. And I'm gonna tell you right now, it's a, he sings very good. Let's go R&B. Let's go R&B, here it is. It's called Walk On By. And I think it's supposed to be like, kind of a feel good song.
Starting point is 00:43:51 And I wish that I could remember the name, hold on. I'm gonna find this information because I think it's really important that I do. Give me one second. Walk On By, Walk On By. Will, walk on by will. Let me see here. Oh, I'll find it in a second because I wanna make sure that I give credit
Starting point is 00:44:14 or credit is due, but this is will and he's singing with another lovely young lady. Ready for this? Yes. I feel like it's fine. Sounds like when you go into an Epcot center, whenever you go to Epcot center and have that music playing, it's like, it's fine. It's a remind me of instantaneous, it got good feelings about it. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Oh yeah, a little like that. Like new AG Prince kind of vibe. Oh that's a legit singing voice right there. Yeah, yeah. Oh yeah! You can do it, you can try. Walk on back. Walk on back. I mean, this is good. That sounds great. It may not be your cup of tea, but you clearly have to identify.
Starting point is 00:45:36 It's great. There is some talent here. I'm digressing. Yeah, I'm like, I got the walk on back. Yeah. Walk on back. Walk on back. Walk on back. Walk on back. You can by, walk on by, walk on by,
Starting point is 00:45:45 walk on by, that's a good one. Walk on by, walk right over. Ah. So this is Wendy Elaine Wright. Wendy Elaine Wright, I'll put a link to it on our show notes. I want to give her credit, we're credit to do because she did give us permission
Starting point is 00:46:04 to play this on the show so here comes Will this is Will the champ the guy who calls our show this is listen to him listen to him Wow What the fuck man he He sounds amazing. He's got a bit of a t- Ha, I'm in your breath When you gotta stand up and welcome back He's got that smisselky smooth R&B voice
Starting point is 00:46:36 I should have taken that angle Killing in the name of Killing in the name of Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me No, no, no You should have taken that NAME A GILLIN IN THE NAME A FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME NO NOO You should have done that guy. Mother fucker won't do what you see me noo And you might be hard and you feel like dying Just keep on trying
Starting point is 00:47:03 Oh he's trilling at the top, what is going on with this guy? Why is he compared to Vita? He should be like a like a anger He should be making music and putting it on spotify. Don't you think? Go Don't bite Don't bite! I'm not gonna be a fan of you. I'm not gonna be a fan of you. I'm not gonna be a fan of you. I'm not gonna be a fan of you. I'm not gonna be a fan of you.
Starting point is 00:48:02 I'm not gonna be a fan of you. I'm not gonna be a fan of you. She agrees. That is really fucking good, man. I mean, I don't know why he thought that was content for the show. He's just show off. He just wanted to show. Yeah, he looked at my bad stuff. Hey, you want to get a good chocolate? This is like, laugh a minute. This is bad.
Starting point is 00:48:17 It's hard to laugh at this. Unless you just started the 33 feet. I'm sure glad I did it this way, not the other way around because then I would have been totally invented. I would have never pressed the play button. That's for sure. That shit is good. That shit is good, man.
Starting point is 00:48:34 You want to hear his little rap real quick? Okay. This is a competitive eating rap. We'll put a link to that song if you want to listen to it. Here's a competitive, his here's a competitive eating wrap. The champ is here. What? The champ is here. Who's here? The champ is here. Oh, the champ is here? Me? I am here. All right. The champ is here. There's a warning shot. The champ is here. I'm a competitive eater. for days. That's awesome. 20 wings, 20 minutes, 20 hours on the toilet bowl. I think you better than me. You're probably right. But I wrote this for you anyway. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:49:19 Oh, he's throwing down. Who knew they had beef in the competitive eating world? I like the concoction. I like the concoction. Is that will? That's will. That's will. I thought it was called a Chris. Is that, wait, is that, is that a ludicrous song? The Champions here? No, but it kind of sounds like ludicrous. Oh yeah. And to my knowledge, he's a white guy. To my knowledge. I don't know. I'm not, I mean, I don't want to make assumptions about his heritage, but it kind of sounds like ludicrous. Oh, yeah And to my knowledge, he's a white guy to my knowledge. I don't know I'm not I mean, I don't want to make assumptions about his heritage But at least it's a way it looks to me and I've watched quite a few reality shows with him on it
Starting point is 00:50:01 Table one the champ is hunger Look out. I'm gonna eat your children If I dinner you stuff in your face I've been declared the winner what I've been starving out the boom But I'm coming to get city dominating since two June And yeah, just jelly man cuz it's me and not you want to tell? In front of a million people feeding my belly when it's overcourt. It's too bizarre, like, belly, oh. Oh! Oh!
Starting point is 00:50:30 Yo, just jelly, cuz I'm thinking I was gonna be people on the jelly. Yeah? Well, it's ya. Here's what I think about Will. I think Will's one of these guys who needs to focus in on one thing. And he probably, I mean, I don't claim to know Will at all, I don't know. But I mean, he's clearly got some know Will at all, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:50:45 He's clearly got some talent. Yeah. Let's put aside the competitive eating for a second. Okay, that's a talent for a minute, until you have, you have, end up at the fucking gastrointes and I'll just take in your colon out. Right? Because that can't be good for you over a long period of time.
Starting point is 00:50:56 But the guy's got an R&B, okay, the rap is good. Yeah. It's clearly a... I really like the rap. But the R&B song is really fucking good that guy had some talent has some talent i don't know when that song was put out but he has some talent is that charisma does we should get on the phone to talk about that maybe we'll
Starting point is 00:51:12 do that on the future episode yeah we'll get will talk about it and get them to talk about his competitive i want to ask more about the competitive eating thing because i find that extraordinarily interesting how those guys get into shape how they train what happens to him afterwards what happens to you know to me what happens to them during. You know, to me, I watch those competitive eating things and I'm always interested, but then about halfway through, I'm like, holy shit, I feel like I'm gonna throw up.
Starting point is 00:51:31 Cause watching them eat like that makes me feel sick. You know the older I get, the less tolerant I am of large meals. Is that true of you too? Yeah. Like, I used to be able to take down, you know, like a 24-ounce steak in a minute. You know, I'm like, ah, ah.
Starting point is 00:51:44 Right, well, I don't like to feel that full anymore.
