The Daily Beast Podcast - Why Trump Melts Down When Women Humiliate Him
Episode Date: September 7, 2026Jennifer Welch, Nell Scovell and Joanna Coles take a sharp, often hilarious look at the women who have managed to get under Donald Trump’s skin—from Taylor Swift and Rosie O’Donnell to E. Jean C...arroll, Caitlin Collins and Marjorie Taylor Greene. They explore why Trump seems unable to tolerate women who reject him, challenge him or simply refuse to play along, and how his fixation on female approval exposes something deeper about his ego. Jennifer Welch also takes aim at the women and men surrounding Trump, from Melania and Ivanka to Susie Wiles, JD Vance and Marco Rubio, arguing that dysfunction, submission and entitlement are central to the Trump orbit. Nell revisits her bizarre connection to the E. Jean Carroll case, Trump’s obsession with his own sex appeal, and the extraordinary history of women who have refused to flatter him—and paid a price for it. Learn more about your ad choices. They have revealed to Trump that they know he's a fraud.
And so they put a mirror up to him.
And they've created and induced a narcissistic injury to him.
And when a narcissist is injured, they lash out in the way that he has towards every single one of these women.
The most vicious way possible.
When there's an intelligent woman that says you're not attractive in the Stormy Daniels case,
and you're a terrible lay, you two, pump, chomp.
And then he just completely goes ballistic because they have exposed him.
for the fraud that he is.
And that's what they all have in common.
I think they put a mirror up and they've injured him
and they've caused narcissistic injury to his ego.
I'm Joanna Coles.
This is the Daily Beast podcast.
And this is part four, the final part of our series on Trump's women.
Inside Trump's women is where we've been for the last four weeks with Nell Scavel.
You've laughed at Nell's lines.
in The Simpsons, in Sabrina the Teenage Witch on Letterman, and Nell has joined us again today.
Today we're going to get into the women who Trump claims are not my type.
And with Nell is going to be Jen Welsh, a favorite podcaster who's got specific insights into
why Trump has such weird relationships with women, weird relationships with women.
But Nell also has another, well, also weird claim to fame, which is now it's possible that you put the idea of having sex in a Bergdorf-Gudman changing stall into Donald Trump's head.
Now, that, of course, is the scene of his crime with E. Jean Carroll, for which he paid $5.8 million, I believe.
Five million plus interest.
Five million plus interest. I don't think he was using it in quite the way you were suggesting. Do tell.
No, I thought that a Bergdorf-Goodman dressing room would be a fine place to have consensual sex. And I said so in an article that I co-wrote in Spy Magazine back in 1987, I think it was.
And spy, if people remember, had a centerfold that was a map of New York.
And sometimes it would be maps of places where movies were shot or, you know, the flower district.
I thought it would be funny to do a map of Midtown Quickeys because, you know, you could get a hotel, but those are expensive.
So the idea was, what are the free places in Midtown Manhattan where you could find
privacy for, you know, for a lunchtime quickie. Right. Back in the days when people had lunchtime
quickies, because if you were having one, you were probably having it, well, maybe you were having
it with someone you worked with, which of course people don't do anymore now. The whole landscape
of quickies has changed. Right. I mean, this was, it was Helding Gurley Brownstown back then.
Hello, early Brownstown, the former editor of Cosmopolitan. So I ran around different buildings,
And what I discovered was the Bergdorf-Goodman third floor, I believe, had these very large, very comfortable,
carpeted changing rooms.
But one of the problems, as I noted in my article, was that the doors didn't lock.
And I suggested you could put a chair up against one.
So my ears pricked up when Donald Trump was accused by E. Jean Carroll and later found guilty of sexual assault.
And he posted, quote, I don't know E. Jean Carroll. I never abused her or raped her or took her to a dressing room 25 years ago in a crowded department store where the doors are locked.
So I literally in this article wrote, door doesn't lock.
And also noted how it wasn't that crowded.
Well, I've got actually how you described the changing rooms in Bergdorf-Gutland.
Cost, free, we like that.
Atmosphere, quiet, clean, posh.
So this wasn't Abercrombian Fitch.
Plus is individual room measuring nine feet by four feet, large, three.
three-way mirror, plush carpeting convenient to shopping. So you could have sex and then go shopping.
Well, and in E. Jean Carroll's story, it starts by Trump is looking for a gift for a lady friend and
asks for her help. And then you may be asking, well, why would Trump read this in spy magazine?
He only reads things about himself. Well, it turned out another place for a Midtown Quicky, right next to Bergdorf
Goodman was a hallway in Trump Tower, where I said that the atmosphere was eerily quiet and secluded.
And that's the weird thing about Trump Tower, if you're a New Yorker, it's never been a location
people wanted to hang out at. It has those trashy public garden. And so I thought that, too,
would be a great place, too. Well, you describe it cost.
atmosphere, eerily quiet and secluded.
Plus is location, location, location.
Space measuring 11 feet by four feet, easy escape route down equally deserted fire stairs.
So it's highly possible that he saw that.
Who knows if he's had quickies himself in Trump Tower like that.
But also spy magazine used to write about Donald Trump.
So it's highly plausible that he read this.
It was before the date that E. Jean Carroll says that her abuse took place.
And, of course, Spy Magazine coined him as the short-fingled Bulgarian, so we know he read it.
Right. He was also the failed Queensborn casino operator.
He had a bunch of names. He was also named in the very first spy as one of the ten most embarrassing New Yorkers.
Anyways, so, you know, this guy is, I've been semi-covering for a very long time, and I think it is so hard to wrap my brain around him being this important and still having to think about him.
But one of the reasons to bring up E. Jean Carroll is despite this awful thing she had to go through, she beat him.
She beat him in court.
She got her $5 million.
It went all the way up to the Supreme Court, and they declined to take the case.
And she has another case pending, too, with an even bigger award of $83 million against Donald Trump, which he's continuing to kick down the legal road, will eventually also go up to the Supreme Court, I'm assuming, and we assume they will toss it back.
Right.
And with her lawyer, Robbie Kaplan, by her side, I hope they get it.
Okay, so now let's go to Jen Welsh now.
Jen, I know you have opinions, and you're also a woman that gets under Donald Trump's skin.
In Toronto, every arrival is a statement, and nothing says it better than this.

Hey Jen. So my first question for you is you're tall. I would say you actually are Donald Trump's type.
And if you met him, I think he would use his go-to line, which friends have told me.
He always says when he meets a new woman and he just kind of purrs, you're so beautiful.
If Trump said that to you, what would you say back?
I think I would say, pardon me, I need to go take a Silkwood shower now.
And I think you ladies are old and I have to remember Karen Silkwood in the movie where she worked at Kermagie gas station and then she would have to go rubble.
off all the potential radiation exposure. Before we get into the specifics of the women who are
able to get under Donald Trump's spray tan skin, what is it that suburban women liked about
Donald Trump? You know, I think what they like about Donald Trump is he is representative of their
broken husbands. There's so many, there's so much dysfunction in suburbia. And Donald Trump is an
example that, see, we're normal. He, his, uh, Donald Trump slaps and tickles around behind Melania's
bag. My husband's done that with his secretary or with this assistant. And, um, their pastor did it.
And he gives this, uh, sense of normalcy to all of their dysfunction. If the president of
United States does it, then it can't be so bad for me. That's such an interesting perspective on it.
So his misery keeps them company. The misery of his behavior keeps them company. Yeah, it's familiar
and it's comfortable. You know, it's really awkward if you're in a really dysfunctional relationship.
And then you're around a super functional double date with people that are really functional and
really respectful, you'd feel like, God, this is really awkward. I mean, they really seem to be in love.
And I think that dysfunction is so ubiquitous, particularly in the suburbs. I mean, everybody
wants to present this keeping up with the Jones forward-looking face with all of their manicured lawns,
but behind every door is just an avalanche of dysfunction. And I think Trump normalizes that for them.
I think that he normalizes the duplicity that on the one hand, outwardly, this family is a good family and outwardly they love each other.
But on the inside, there's just a shit ton of dysfunction.
So what do you think the suburban women think when they look at Melania?
Okay, brace yourselves, ladies.
I actually know what they think.
They think she's a class act because I've had conversations with my friends in Oklahoma City that are MAGA aligned and or triple trumpers.
I said, well, what do you think about Melania?
I mean, she's just like Jackie Kennedy.
I mean, my God, is she at Class Act?
And I'm always like, are we talking about the same person here?
I mean, I just, I can't, for me, she's just reeks of gold digger.
She reeks of wanting to be relevant.
She seems so thirsty, just so thirsty and so she tries too hard.
Every time I see her, I think, God, she's trying so hard to.
to look classy, which just erases all of it.
And then you can tell them that she hates her husband, but they really think she's like
a class act.
They buy into the whole seven languages thing.
They like her.
You know, Trump thinks he's pretty hot stuff.
And I was going to read you a quote.
You might want to get ready for a second Silkwood shower.
But earlier, Trump did say, all of the women on the apprentice flirted with me,
consciously or unconsciously, that's to be expected.
A sexual dynamic is always present between people unless you are asexual.
I mean, at this stage, sure, why not?
I mean, yeah, this doesn't surprise me in the least bit that he thinks this.
I think the delusions of grandeur with this man are literally what your psychology professor
would explain to you about delusions of grandeur.
I think he looks in the mirror and he doesn't see this gaping neck vagina that we all see.
That's, I mean, craving a plastic surgeon to just, you know, just in an act of patriotism.
Just lift the damn thing up for the country, for God's sake.
He looks in the mirror and he sees prime Brad Pitt looking back at him.
And he can't imagine that everybody wouldn't just want to sleep with him.
And I think we all as women have probably had experiences with men that think they're really good and best.
and we leave the bed thinking, that was terrible.
And I'm sure that all of the women that have left the bed with him, and we know this from
Stormy Daniels, left rather underwhelmed by the entire experience.
So what is it about the women, Jen, that managed to get under his skin?
So, I mean, now obviously Marjorie Taylor Green, who was a huge supporter and has now, you know,
stepped away from him very firmly.
Rosie O'Donnell, Taylor Swift, there's a very specific kind of woman that doesn't necessarily, they don't necessarily seem to have very much in common, apart from the fact that they can really get under Donald Trump's skin.
And they're the women's like E. Jean Carroll and her lawyer, Robbie Kaplan, who I know you know, have won against him, have won.
So I think that these women, what they all have in common, is that they have revealed to Trump that they know he's a fraud.
And so they put a mirror up to him.
And they created and induced a narcissistic injury to him.
And when a narcissist is injured, they lash out in the way that he has towards every single one of these women, the most vicious way possible.
And so he is a con artist.
He's a blowhard.
he is a snake oil salesman.
And to these suburban women, he can pull it off.
They're like, oh, that locker room talk of Trump, what a hoot he is.
That Melania, she's such a class act.
We just love her.
But when there's an intelligent woman that says, you're a bullshit artist, and I know you are,
and you're not attractive in Stormy Daniels case,
and you're a terrible lay to pump, chump.
And then he just completely goes ballistic because they have exposed him for the fraud that he is.
And that's what they all have in common.
I think they put a mirror up and they've injured him and they've caused narcissistic injury to his ego.
Yeah, well, Rosie O'Donnell did call him a snake oil salesman.
And, you know, there does seem to be a difference between the way he reacts when a woman who is not his type rejects him.
And when a woman like Taylor Swift or Caitlin Collins rejects him, it seems to pierce him.
it seems to pierce him in a different way.
Yeah, I think you're right.
I think that if it's somebody that he deems, in his opinion,
wouldn't be an equal in attractiveness.
And I can't believe him I'm saying that because he's so wildly unattractive,
but he thinks he's so good-looking.
He wants to, there's this visceral hatred.
But then when it's somebody like Caitlin Collins, who's so pretty,
there's this public desire to, to,
me when he goes after somebody like Caitlin Collins, he's publicly trying to convince everybody around
that she's actually not that great. She's trying to diminish her looks and her journalistic integrity.
So let's talk about what men think about Donald Trump in terms of his sex appeal and in terms of his
pulling power and the fact that he's always surrounded by very beautiful women. So if Ankara Trump
has left him, his daughter's got out of politics altogether because she couldn't
stand it. His wife appears to have just moved towns. We have no idea where she lives. She may be in
Florida part of the time. She may be in Trump Tower. He's surrounded by very attractive young women
his workwise. We've got Natalie Hart. We've got Margot Martin who looks like an identicate younger
version of Melania. He's famous for having these younger attractive women around him in the workplace,
other than Susie Wiles, who Anthony Scaramucci earlier in our series called Mrs. Doubtfire.
Do you think, is this part of his performance for other men to say, hey, look, I've got a hot piece of ass behind a desk in, you know, just outside the Oval Office.
Is this about him showing off?
What is this about?
I think that's exactly what it is.
I think he projects what he thinks a real healthy, realized alpha male would want.
And he projects that out because he's so lost at sea in trying to find what that is.
Nothing about being masculine comes natural to him,
nothing in the sense of the way we have learned about real men,
say it's a Disney movie or in the way that we've read literature,
that they stand up for the marginalized.
He doesn't relate to that at all.
And so he relates to the most caveman, low-hanging fruit aspect of it.
I'm going to have this hot piece of ass here.
And then he, you know, I think you've seen this clip before.
And some young girl's introducing him.
And he goes up and he kind of gives her a hug.
And then he's like, to the crowd, like, what jihad?
And it's always this just, you know, this crusty white man.
You know, they think they're such sexual creatures.
And he is just the worst at this.
But you ask, you like, all the men hanging around him, this is where I think it gets really weird.
All of the men around Trump are so obsequious to him.
And they remind me of trad wives.
They are so submissive and so subservient.
They cannot stand up to him.
I mean, can you imagine having to sit through one of those cabinet meetings?
I mean, a normal person would go, for God's sake, shut them.
fuck up you've gone on and on and they sit there and smile one after another and take it on the chin
it is a masterclass i can't even call it beta male i would say in zeta male this is i've never seen
a group of men so submissive to another man and that man is so unworship worthy like i can see
if we were all around like obama or i don't know george cluny or something
God, he's really got that Riz.
He really has that it factor.
With Trump, he's such a bizarre person from the looks all the way to how he does not feel shame
when people are praising him nonstop.
A normal person would go, oh, stop.
But he just sits there and he's like, see, I told you, I am great.
And he doesn't feel anything.
It's really, it's bizarre watching it at this stage in the fascist takeover.
I'm not surprised by anything Trump does.
Nothing. Nothing he does surprises me anymore. I still am shocked at all of these Republican men that claim that we love the military and we love the country and we're patriots. We love family values. And just what wusses they are. Just how weak minded these men are that they cannot stand up to this man.
We've been talking a bit about Melania and how one of the big differences between the first administration and this.
one is she went from being 46 to 56, which means she most likely went through the change
in the interim.
And how she even opened up a task force for menopause this march for the White House
and just how maybe like a lot of women who go through menopause, she just doesn't give
a fuck anymore.
She stopped caring what people think about her.
She's just going to get her money.
And do we like that for her?
No, I don't like anything for Melania.
And I wish I could be a bigger person and say I do, but I don't.
I don't want, I don't like anything possible for her.
She is, I think, just an absolutely horrific person.
She cares enough about certain things, like when Amanda Ungaro, her former best friend,
started tweeting up a storm about knowing some intel on her,
then she does this surprise press conference.
She cared enough in the bogus $40 million payoff that she got
to make sure that everybody, not only in the United States,
but that in the world knows that she does not screw her husband.
They could have cut that part out,
but she made sure that the world knows,
I do not screw my husband.
So I'm not buying into this that Melania all of a sudden
is liberated and doesn't give a shit about stuff anymore, because I think that's the thing
that eats the Trump's up all the time. They care what everybody thinks about them, and they want
to change everybody's opinion of them. But if everybody on the planet said, oh, Donald Trump's
incredible. He's a great dad. He's a great president. Super smart. Huge penis. Great golfer.
And every single, 8 billion people on the planet said that he'd still be broken. And all of the
men that serve him would still be broken. And Maloney had still be broken.
and Don Jr. would still be broken. The whole lot of them. I mean, we have literally, we're elevating, it's a bad guy right here. We are elevating the most dysfunctional family in the United States and wrapping it up in traditional family Christian values. It's just such bullshit. I'm just so, I don't know about you ladies. I just get so tired of watching it. The Trumps, I don't mind watching as much, but all the people acting and feigning like they're this great family is the part that just is so sad.
sickening to me. When the cabinet secretaries get home and they're talking to their wives and they're nearly
all men, as we know, the only people who've been fired from this cabinet of incompetence are women. What do you think they're saying to
their wives? What do you think Marco Rubio says to his wife when he gets home and she's like, how was Donald Trump
today, darling? What do you think J.D. Vance is saying to Ushah Vance? I mean, first of all, J.D. Vance to Ushah, I can't even
imagine that he even goes home and speaks to her because did you see when she hosted him on her
podcast how he sat down and goes how you doing and like padded her leg I was just like that's weird
furthermore jd vance cannot condemn a racist Nazi group chat that had all sorts of anti-indian
pro-white Nazi stuff in it he couldn't condemn the group chat meanwhile his wife is of
indian descent his kids are mixed race so any
that these people have functional relationship at work or functional relationships at home,
it's just a fool's errand. I mean, these are truly emotionally stunted people. J.D. Vance,
in my opinion, contrary to what Amanda Ungaro thinks, I think that J.D. Vance is America's top
prostitute because J.D. Vance has been bought and paid for by the tech billionaires. They bought
him because four years ago, wasn't he saying, or, you know, six years ago, saying Trump was
America's Hitler, and now we're at a 180. So these people have no credibility. And as it pertains to
Marco Rubio, I just envision him going home. I bet his wife hates him. And she's like, well,
you better be president out of this thing. And if I were him, I mean, I don't know if there'd be a bottle of
vodka big enough that I could drink away the sole selling that this man has done, because he knows better.
I mean, I'm not saying he was a great politician or somebody that I agreed with, but he wasn't magin nutty.
He was a right winger, but he wasn't this level of depravity.
So I don't think there's this world where they go home and have healthy conversations with their wives.
I think these people are as broken as you can get.
And Marco Ruebio, you can see the breakage on his face.
You can see this man is completely broken and he is owned.
And that's the part about watching all of these men, their weakness on display.
And I would imagine their wives probably don't talk to them.
I don't think it's kumbai y'all.
How is work today, honey?
But I think behind Donald Trump's back, I think they all talk behind his back.
I think at the White House, I think that's probably the most toxic work environment there is.
I'm sure they're always thrown each other under the bus, tattletelling, jockey in for Trump's attention.
And I think Trump loves that shit.
I think he's a big gossip.
He probably loves to, the minute Marco walks out, I'm sure he loves to trash him, and then J.D. Vance walks out and I'm sure he trashes him. I mean, this is like kindergarten stuff.
So what do you think about Susie Wiles?
Trump used to call her the refrigerator when he first met her.
He was like, I don't want the refrigerator.
But Jara Kushner was very involved in getting Susie Wiles placed at Mara Lago initially.
And then obviously after he won the election, she's now the first female chief of staff.
What do you think about her?
She's a grandmother.
She's described Trump, as Trump describes himself as having an alcoholic's personality.
What's your take on her as the sort of grandmother of the White House?
Well, I think that, again, this is a broken person.
Susie Wiles' dad was an alcoholic.
And so the fact that she says Trump has an alcoholic's personality,
it shows you that all of the people that are gravitated to this world are broken.
And this brokenness feels familiar to them.
Susie Wiles being around a blowhard abuser like Donald Trump feels comfortable because one could assume her father, as most alcoholics are, when they're drunk, are emotionally and psychologically abusive and their gas lighters and all of that stuff.
So in order for her to be able to tolerate this type of work environment, it's not like she came from some healthy space and is like, wow, I'm the chief of staff in the White House.
I mean, again, these people are really, really broken.
So she had to come from a very broken place to be able to accept this job.
And maybe she's a little bit more reasoned.
But look at all the shit that he does.
I mean, nobody reins him in.
Nobody says, hey, I think this is, you know, you're taking this too far.
Because by design, one thing that Trump has learned from Trump 1.0 to Trump 2.0 is he has learned, I'm not going to have anybody.
in the room, like Anthony Scaramucci, that's going to say, hey, I think this is a bad idea.
He wants people to tell him exactly what he wants to hear.
And then I think he enjoys humiliating them.
Like, I don't know if you remember Marco Rubio in the shoes that were too big for him.
And then they dressed him up on Air Force One, like he was a little doll.
They dressed him up in the same Nike sweatsuit that Maduro had from Venezuela.
And they took a picture of him and put it on social media.
and this is the freaking secretary of state.
Like, look, we have him in this same outfit.
I'm like, it's just the humiliation kinks that go both ways,
the emotional sadomasochism in this thing.
It's really one for the ages.
It's just, God, I keep, every time we even talk about this,
I think, my God, we are governed by such emotionally broken people.
Well, this is why I get angry at Melania and Ivanka is I do think they were actually
sources of comfort, of mediation, and the fact that they have cut out and just left women behind
and families behind and said, I'm just going to go and join my life on my endless vacation.
I think it's cruel.
Like, they should be there and sucking up some of that humiliation in order to literally protect millions.
Yeah, but you know, I don't think they have that in them. I always think what I would do in their situation. But the reason they're in the situation that they're in so comfortably is they don't have a normal person's instincts about these things. And if you think about Ivanka in particular, think about her dad is a felon. And then think about Jared Kushner. His dad's a felon. So both of these people are married and both of their dads are completely broken, dysfunctional.
don't felons, both of them.
So there is a comfort level that Ivanka and a comfort level that Melania have in being a part
of this crime syndicate.
It's familiar.
It's comfortable.
It's all they know.
And as it pertains to Jared Kushner, and this might be slightly off topic, but I think it's
just wild that here's a man who is deeply in bed with the Saudis, right?
And then MAGA is constantly like, oh, my God, the Democrats in Sharia law.
And I'm like, if y'all are so worried about that.
this, y'all are the ones making billions of dollars off all the Muslim countries. So, I mean,
come on. Yeah, they were felons, but now one's an ambassador and once the president. And so what
lesson do you learn from that? Like, there's such cognitive dissonance of wrongdoing. I mean,
Charles Kushner was in jail. Right. And I don't think they do learn a lesson from it. The thing about
Maga, and I've spoken to Joanna about this on her podcast, is that it is just like evangelical
Christianity in the sense that there is forgiveness without accountability. And so both of the convicted
villains, one's an ambassador, one is the president of the United States. There's no accountability
there. So this feeds this entitlement and this arrogance that the Trumps have and that the Kushners have,
that we are better than everybody else.
We're above everybody else.
The rules don't apply to us.
And Joanna's asked me many times
because I was born and raised in the Bible
about how do all these fundamentalist Christians,
how did they support him?
I'm like, well, it makes perfect sense
because their evangelical preachers are just like this.
They're criminals as well
that are ripping off the congregation,
you know, screwing men and bathrooms with poppers,
and then they come and bootle baby cry to the congregation
and then the, oh, we forgive you, Jesus forgives you, and then they, you know, send more money in.
And it's just, there's a sick part of American culture.
We have a lot of beautiful things in our culture, but we have a lot of really sick things.
And right now we're living in an era where the sickness has risen.
And he has risen, Donald Trump and his sickness.
Joan Wiles, thank you so much for joining us.
You always illuminate whatever we're talking about with your Oklahomaan point of view.
and it's so helpful.
Yeah, and I'm not at all Donald Trump's type,
but you are, and so you're speaking out against him,
I find especially meaningful.
Thank you, ladies, so very much.
I'm so happy and thrilled to be a part of this series.
Do you wish you could just hit skip on the worst parts of your life?
You know, the same way you can skip an ad?
I get it.
I'm Siaya, and I live in Ice Cove.
I've made some questionable decisions that didn't end up the way I planned.
And today, I'm still figuring it out.
Somehow things usually get worse before they get better.
Apparently, that's how I roll.
So bundle up and come along for the bumpy ride.
Stream a new episode of North of North Tuesdays on CBC Gem.
I love hearing from Jen.
Fantastic to hear from her.
Jen, thank you so much.
We'll look forward seeing you back on the podcast soon.
So now, we've got a short list of women.
we've got Taylor Swift, we've got Rosie O'Donnell, and of course we've got E. Jean Carroll and
Robbie Kaplan, who really get under Donald Trump's skin. What is it about them that is so annoyed him?
That they don't agree with him 100% of the time. I think he claims he loves women, but he really only
loves women who love him. And the second you voiced any issue, as we saw with Marjorie Taylor Green,
you instantly become the enemy. It also happened to Megan Kelly. Right. At one point,
she really got under his skin during the debate when she was one of the moderators. He then
comes out and accuses her of having blood coming out of her, whatever, whatever that means. That was so weird.
But she then climbed back on the Trump bus and has been pretty much obsequious ever since.
Yeah, that was a stunning turnaround, but also proof that all you have to do is say, I love you, Donald, and he loves you back.
So what in particular was it about Rosie O'Donnell that got under his skin?
I mean, she now credits him with reviving her career.
Yeah, well, they weren't always enemies.
I mean, Rosie went to Marlon, Maple's and Donald's wedding.
And there's a famous story of when she was in the hospital.
She had a heart attack.
And Trump actually wrote on X, Rosie, get better fast.
I'm starting to miss you.
And Rosie, very funny response.
She said, well, thank you, Donald.
I must admit, your post was a bit of a shock.
Are you trying to kill me?
But, you know, the empathy was short-lived, and pretty soon, you know, he,
Megan Kelly actually asked Trump about his use of language calling women fat pigs or dogs or disgusting animals.
And his response was only Rosie O'Donnell.
At which the audience laughed.
Yeah.
She was ahead of the curve.
Like she got his number so fast.
And on the view, she called him a snake oil salesman.
I know it caused a lot of tension with her and her then boss, Barbara Walters.
And I remember once asking a friend why Barbara Walters would support Donald Trump over Rosie.
And that friend who knew Barbara well said, oh, please, Barbara will always.
side with a powerful man. Interesting. Well, it's the era she came up with. Yeah, it's the era she came up with.
But Rosie O'Donnell was on to Donald Trump's connery very early, way before he ran as president.
And then she became one of his first really public targets. She did. And she claims that one of the
reasons she was on to him was because they grew up fairly close to each other. He was in Queens. She was in Long Island.
And she just said she knew guys like him.
So now, after his second inauguration, Rosie decided to move to Ireland.
Why was that?
Well, in part, she has a child with autism and she was really freaked out by, you know,
some of the things Kennedy was saying about children with autism.
And she also said she read Project 2025.
And it really freaked her out.
Her mother was very Irish, so she moved back there, and she said she loved it, actually.
But she's since back to New York?
She has, and she's starring in a play that she wrote herself.
She's guest hosting for Jimmy Kimmel.
And I was really happy to hear that her say that most people come up to her on the street and thank her and support her.
and she gets very little hate for her position.
So another woman that clearly gets under his skin,
and we saw this after she got married,
and he put out crazy social media posts triggered clearly by Taylor Swift.
So what is it about Taylor Swift that so irritates him?
Because, again, they started out friends.
He started out posting favorably about her saying,
love Taylor Swift.
And then somehow she got bigger than he did, I think.
she got bigger than he did. Taylor Swift has this wonderful documentary called Miss Americana,
and in it she voices her political views, by the way, over the objections of her father,
and she lets her audience know she is pro-gay rights, pro-reproductive rights,
and that she does not intend to vote for Marcia Blackburn, who's running for Senate in her home state,
of Tennessee. And she actually calls Marcia Donald Trump in a wig.
Oof. Right. So Donald Trump in a wig is Donald Trump. Yeah, especially big wig more
recently. And so his response after this was publicized was that he liked Taylor 25% less
than he did before. Now, the thing is he's conflicted.
Do you remember that he, at one point, he thought that the perfect boyfriend for Ivanka would be Tom Brady?
So he likes those hypermasculine.
Anthony Scaramucci was talking about that in an earlier episode.
So Taylor starts dating Travis Kelsey, who's a football player.
And again, like Trump can't help himself.
He wants to like them both, right?
But they don't like him.
They do not like them.
He does say he posts that I hope they enjoyed their life maybe together, maybe not, most likely not.
So he was wrong.
That's his patterning, right?
His patterning of it.
And also when they get married and they put out outside Madison Square Garden where they get married,
they put out huge posts saying T&T just married.
He responds to that in the same style by posting Donald Trump is president.
Like we could ever forget.
And she did also endorse Kamala Harris, which prompted a very mature post from our president,
which was in all caps, I hate Taylor Swift.
And also she responded when J.D. Vance said the thing which he now claims in his new book,
communion he really regrets saying about childlit, the Democratic Party was run by childless cat ladies.
She started posting pictures of her cat. So again, she hasn't backed down. I, you know, she does have
friends, bipartisan friends, and that she seems to transcend politics. Well, she also.
seems to be the quintessential female figure, too. I mean, she's both powerful, she's incredibly
wealthy, she's very successful, she couldn't be more ambitious, but she also presents very beautifully.
She's a very beautiful, sexy young woman of the kind that Donald Trump, and, well, she's probably
too old for his old friend, Jeffrey Epstein, but an incredibly attractive, girly woman who's
beyond successful. So that reminds me of a story that Stormy Daniels has told.
that the night of their trist, Trump actually said, you remind me of my daughter, Ivanka.
And I think Taylor Swift must remind him of Ivanka, too. I mean, Taylor Swift is very tall.
She's very statuesque and blonde, very successful. And, you know, isn't that the ultimate Trump woman
is the one he literally created? Right. So it's narcissism writ large.
Yeah.
the extension, another limb.
Another limb.
Okay, final woman who was on board with him
and has now leapt aboard the Tucker train, Marjorie Taylor Green.
She really got under his skin.
He started calling her Marjorie Traitor Green.
What was her?
Oh, no, he called her Marjorie Trader Brown.
Oh, that's right.
That's right.
I've forgotten.
He thought it was so clever.
And I think we all assumed that
changing green to brown was a reference to poop. Right, or explosive, explosive diarrhea. But in fact,
he has posted that the green turning to brown was a reference to grass. That grass when it is
intended turns brown. And the last time I looked, the White House lawn was completely brown after the
UFC match, they killed all the grass. So he would know. He would know. And also, I was thinking of
the reflecting pool that went from American flag blue to green, to brown. To brown. She's now
talking to Tucker Carlson about a third American political party. She hates him that much. She
feels let down by him. Why she would think he would stick with any of his promises, I do not know,
but the war appeared to be the final straw for Marjorie Taylor Green. Right. Right.
It started with health care that her daughters were, were, had complained about how much they were
paying.
Mm-hmm.
And I guess, you know, she woke up, right?
Trump actually posted out about her.
So what, here's what Donald has to say.
And look, she was by his side for the campaign.
She was, who loved Trump more than Marjorie Taylor Green?
Right.
there was no better surrogate. Yeah, and so now he's writing lightweight congresswoman,
Marjorie Taylor Brown, Greengrass turns brown when it begins to rot, betrayed the entire
Republican Party when she turned left, performed poorly on the pathetic view, and became the
rhino that we all know she always was. Just another fake politician, no different than
Rand Paul Jr., Thomas Massey, who got caught being a
full-fledged Republican in name only, Rhino, make America great again.
And she's been so harassed since she left Congress that she claimed that she was receiving
death threats. I mean, she, you know, the minute she, I mean, truthfully, the minute she left
Congress, she was able to secure her pension. It very much looked like she'd stayed there
until the day after she could claim her pension and then she decided to leave.
So I'm not holding her up as any kind of heroin here.
But it's interesting the way she has managed to get under his skin and provoke him.
And she just got married.
So, you know, maybe it's a message to all women that you'll be happier if you stand up to Donald Trump.
You're equating getting married to being happier.
Well.
Okay. So she seemed happy. Okay. So final, final, Caitlin Collins, who clearly gets under his skin,
won't smile, won't smile at him, does in fact smile to other people. Well, she's a total professional.
Her job is to ask him hard questions, and he doesn't like it. And he can answer them,
whether it's because he doesn't know the answer or because he can't think of lie fast enough.
And when he can't, his go-to is to attack people for working for fake news or to attack, and it's usually women for their appearance or style.
We've heard Quiet Piggy, you know, and Caitlin, because she is very young and beautiful,
gets a slightly more nuanced criticism, right?
And he tells her that she should smile more.
And that is just, to me, that is classic 80s New York.
You know, when you walk by a construction site
and I'm thinking about some article I need to write
or planning something, inevitably a construction worker
would shout, you know, smile, you look prettier
or if you smiled, you know, and you give them the salute.
And that's Donald Trump.
He's still doing it.
Nelskabel, it's been such a wonderful journey inside Trump's women with you.
I'm looking forward to watching all the women that we've talked about,
whether or not Lara Trump gets to the top of the poll,
or whether or not Bettina Anderson out bikinis her and gets there first.
And maybe she gets to run for something.
who knows. But it's been such an interesting insight into Trump and the women around him.
Yeah, I look forward to finding out if Melania actually does ever file for divorce and who Donald
Trump Jr.'s third wife will be. If you have been, thank you for joining us for this series.
we've had so much fun going inside Trump's women.
And if this is just one episode you've caught of our four-part series,
go back and watch the rest.
We focus on Melania and Ivanka and Bettina Anderson, Don Jr's new wife,
Lara Trump, Kai Trump, the women trying to fill the gap
that Melania has left with her absence.
And then with David Rothkopf, we went into the White House
and examined the workwives.
Big thanks to our production team, Ryan Murray, John Romero,
Rachel Passer, Heather Pissarro and Neil Rosenhaus.
So the good news is we have so many Bee Beast tier members now.
There are too many names to read out and we really appreciate.
Don't you wish you could just hit skip on the worst parts of your life?
You know the same way you can skip an ad?
I get it.
I'm Siaya and I live in Ice Cove.
I've made some questionable decisions that didn't end up the way I planned.
And today I'm still figuring it out.
Somehow things usually get worse before they get better.
Apparently, that's how I roll.
So bundle up and come along for the bumpy ride.
