I will say this is probably one of the more interesting aspects of every single Trump scandal is that
Starting point is 00:00:25 unlike most politicians scandals, Trump scandals play out both in like a clandestine way and in a very open way. And that like confuses journalists and the media I've noticed because a lot of people fall into the trap of being like, yeah, but he said it in public. So does that mean it's wrong? It's like, yeah, but he said it in public. So does that mean it's wrong? It's like, yeah. Just because you say your crime in public doesn't mean that it's no longer a crime. Do you get to, that's not how it works.
Starting point is 00:00:53 It's just we're used to people who have levels of shame, and so we're used to like busting a politician. Did you secretly do this? You got me. And then like, Rudy Giuliani is just telling people the game. It's like, yeah, you doesn't mean that you didn't do something wrong. And that's what people are literally using as a defense. What's also interesting is I think people are losing track of what the focus is or how this started. This was about Donald Trump using the power of his office. this was about Donald Trump using the power of his office, an American president, forget Trump, an American president now using the power of his office to specifically target a person he perceived as a threat in an election.
Starting point is 00:01:30 Right, because even do this with Joe Biden in a long time, it's like no, Joe Biden's in the race. Now did the call, he was like, you can you just check this out? I need to figure, I need to figure out, their time. the timing also has thah is is is is thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's hea, he's the person, he's the person, he's the person, he's the person he's the person he's the person he's the person he's the person he's the person, he's the person, he's the person, he's the person, he's the person, he the person, he the person, he he he he he he he he he he he he he, he he, he, he, he, he, he. thi, he. thi, he. thi, he's thi, he's thi, he's thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thr. thi. thi. thi. theeeeeee. He's thi. He's the thi. He's the the thi. He's the person, he's the person, ing also has to come for something you know what he was doing here. All right, so US President doing that. But now they're bringing up like, oh he also called Australia's Prime Minister and asked about the Mala investigation and he called. I'm like, yeah, even if you did those things, whatever, but don't forget what the main story is? Because now sometimes I feel like the press also just, you know, they're like a that one, and that one. And then it's like, yeah, but what's the thing? What did you want for Christmas? And you know, I want to impeach. Okay. And now, why are you, by focusing on other things. Focus on the, focus on Ukraine and just tell the story properly. It's like on random thing. Australia, also, Italy. Yeah, yeah. But that doesn't have to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the that the that the that to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their. they. the their. their, their, they. they. they. the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, they. And, the. And, the. And, the. And, the. And, the. And, the. And, the. And, the. And, the. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, the. Australia also, also Italy, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, but that doesn't have to do with him abusing the power of the office, like the office is the main thing, so we'll see how it goes.
Starting point is 00:02:30 But these two are just like, they're hilarious, just telling you the people half of the story in the streets. And Julian is my favorite because. So what did you do? It, I did it. So you're confessing, no I'm not. The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Ears Edition.
