So a lot of people don't know this, but when Tommy Laren came to the show, um, one thing I've always appreciated is any Republican or any conservative that will come to the daily show, because I love having discussions with people I know I don't th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, what, to me, what, to me, what, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to to to to to th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, to to to to to to to me, to to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me,'t agree with and they don't agree with me. I also think that's the best place to have a challenge, like to challenge your ideas. You know, otherwise you get trapped in a bubble where you're just talking to people who agree with you. It's like, I think this, I agree! Yeah! But I never have to like sharpen my ideas unless I meet someone who challenges those ideas, you know? And so I appreciated that she came to the show the same way I would with any Republican,

you know, like we had presidential candidates who came. What was weird to me was Tommy Laren came to the show and then she got, and then she got the death threats from people who claimed to be fans of the daily show. And my problem wasn't just the death threats, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, the th, thr-I, threats, threats, threats, threats, threats, threats, threats, thr-like, like, like, like, their, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, they. I I I I I I I was, threats, threats, threats, threats, I's, I's, I's, I's, I's, I's, they. they. I'm they. I'm they. they. they. thr-I's, thr-I's, thr-I's, thr-I's, thr-I's, thr-I's, thr-I's death threat she got. You know, people were like, you blonde, dumb bitch. I hope you die in a ditch and you should, you know, go to hell. I hope you get raped and die, you conservative whore. Like, literally that. And I was like, look, man, I don't stand for that. You can't say, look, I don't like her views, but misogyny, misogyny is never excusable. That's like, that's, like your, your, your values shouldn't change depending on how angry you are or not as a person, you know? It's like some people who become racist, you know when people do that? Like, they'll be like, something will happen with a black man, it'll be like, yeah, you're like, what did you? And they're like, no, I'm not great, he just made me so angry.

And I'm not racist. I'm not racist. I just got so. It's like, no, you clearly you have racism. You have racism. You are racist. There's black people you like, but you'll use racism. how your value should be applied. So I, like, I personally felt bad. She got, and she got difference from right-wing media as well, because they were like, why would you sell out, go to the daily show, you're trash, you, this. I genuinely felt bad for the person. And then I was like, you, thanks, and I'm like, thanks, and than, and than, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and. But then paparazzi, like, the way they take the picture is they cut everybody out of the picture, so then it's just like the two of us, like, geez, there. That was, that was actually my first time learning about like, how good American paparazzi is.

Because literally, my producers were there with me, Where are you in the and he was supposed to he's like he's like wow how come I'm not in the picture? Where am I?
