President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio reinforce U.S. policy on narco-terrorists, and another illegal immigrant who was given a commercial driver's license by California kills three and injures three more in a horrific semi-accident. Starting point is 00:00:54 It is Thursday, October 23rd, 2025. This is the Daily Signals, top news, in 10. Representative Catherine Clark from Massachusetts Fifth Congressional, the Democrat Whip of the House, in other words, the second highest Democrat official in the House of Representatives, is in serious controversy after comments suggesting that the Democrats were using the leverage of families suffering amid the government shutdown. I mean, shutdowns are terrible. And of course, there will be, you know, families that are going to suffer.

Starting point is 00:01:33 We take that responsibility very seriously, but it is one of the few leverage times we have. When later confronted about this on CNN, she denied that this event took place or that this was out of context by White House Press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt. White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt just posted a clip of an interview that you did on Fox last week. You were answering a question from Fox's Chad Pergram about blame for the shutdown. I want to look at the post here. I mean, shutdowns are terrible. Lovett is looking, especially at that last bit you said there, saying the Democrats, quote, are now admitting

Starting point is 00:02:18 that they are intentionally causing American families to suffer with their reckless government shutdown. What's your response to that? Well, that is right out of her playbook of half-truths, taking things out of contact, and not being straight with the American people. In the meantime, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is once again complaining about the President of the United States

Starting point is 00:02:43 using his own and donors money to build onto the east wing of the White House to build a presidential ballroom. Donald Trump is once again preparing to fly out of the country. The east wing of the White House is being demolished so that Donald Trump can construct a ballroom where he will be celebrated like a king. And at the same time, Trump is trying to rob taxpayers of $230 million to continue to line his pockets.

Starting point is 00:03:22 And on foreign policy news, in addition to two series of sanctions on Russian oil giants, You said as recently as yesterday that you still believe that he wants to end the war. I do. You took this step to ratchet the sanctions and put more pressure on it. What else could we want to do to encourage him to get there? Or can you explain why you do believe he wants peace? Yeah, it's a good question. Today is a very big day in terms of what we're doing.

Starting point is 00:03:49 Look, these are tremendous sanctions. These are very big. Those are against their two big oil companies. And we hope that they won't be on for long. We hope that the war will be settled. We just answered having to do with various forms of missiles and everything else that we're looking at. But we don't think that's going to be necessary. We would like to see them just take the line that has been formed over quite a long period of time and go and let's, you know, go home.

Starting point is 00:04:18 Last week, they had almost 8,000 soldiers killed. Many Russians were killed last week. Many Ukrainians were killed last week. We think it's ridiculous and we'd like to have it in. Why do you want peace, though? Why do you still wait that? I think they want peace. I think they both want peace at this point.

Starting point is 00:04:36 It's been, you know, it's almost four years. You're going into four years. And if I were president, it never would have started. But yeah. The president of the United States also confirmed that his office would continue to order kinetic strikes via drone and U.S. naval craft on narco-terrorist vessels from Venezuela and other South American and Central American countries. This is a national security problem.

Starting point is 00:05:01 They killed 300,000 people last year, drugs. These drugs coming in, they killed 300,000 Americans last year, and that gives you legal authority. We have a national security. Really, I will say this, when you look at the people we're dealing with, and we know them, we know the people coming in, we know the boats, we know everything else,

Starting point is 00:05:25 We're allowed to do it. It's in international waters. If we don't do it, we're going to lose hundreds of thousands of people. Now, they'll be coming in by land a little bit more because they're not coming in by boat anymore. There are no boats in the water. There are no more boats. We know the boat almost immediately. You know, it's pretty unusual when you see somebody with a fishing rod and five engines on the back of the boat.

Starting point is 00:05:49 You know, you don't need that to go fishing. Wait, wait, wait. And we will hit them very hard when they come in. by land and they haven't experienced that yet, but now we're totally prepared to do that. Here's Secretary of State and Acting National Security Advisor Marco Rubio reinforcing the president's policy. Well, I mean, the question is, bottom line, these are drug boats. If people want to stop seeing drug boats blow up, stop sending drugs to the United States.

Starting point is 00:06:14 Does it matter if it's in the United States? Well, these are all in international waters. The boat, you do a strike in the United States or if we're a different man. Now you're talking about a law enforcement matter. In this particular case, there are people traveling on international. international waters headed towards the United States with hostilities in mind, which includes flooding our country with dangerous, deadly drugs. And they're going to be stopped. And that's what's happening. And in the case last week, you saw there was a submarine. It was a submarine. It was a

Starting point is 00:06:38 submersible. That's a drug boat all the way through. We know what these boats are. The president just said it. We tracked them from the very beginning. We know who's on them, who they are, where they're coming from, what they have on them. And, you know, if you're running drug boats, you're in grave danger. And a horrible car and semi-accident yesterday, occurred in California along the I-10 freeway when a semi-driver plowed through several stopped vehicles, killing three and sending three more to the hospital. Exclusive dash cam video, which is now the subject of several law enforcement investigations. It shows the moment a red semi-truck plowed into a number of vehicles on the westbound 10 freeway

Starting point is 00:07:16 in Ontario just after 1 p.m. yesterday. The CHP told the LA Times, the driver of this big rig is a 21-year-old man who is now under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. A total of four semis were involved and also four passenger vehicles, one of them exploding in flames. Three people were killed and four others were taken to local hospitals. This horrific crash happened just east of the 15 freeway and shut down all westbound lanes for more than 12 hours. Thousands of drivers were trapped in the gridlock just as the evening commute was getting underway. It's also near... While California officials have so far attempted to obfuscate the identity of the criminal who plowed through the other individuals,

Starting point is 00:08:44 a series of investigators have brought forward information from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department records for inmate contact information. In other words, the inmate locator site, which is automated by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, to expose that Jashon-Pri Singh had been arrested in. at the exact same time and the exact same arrest location, I-10 Westbound Marker 15, as the horrific semi-accident. Starting point is 00:09:21 an illegal immigrant in the United States, allowed to remain in the country under the leadership of former President Joe Biden. This now makes the second major car accident resulting in several deaths due to the carelessness of an illegal immigrant who was granted a commercial driver's license due to policies by Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom of California. The U.S. Department of Transportation under Sean Duffy has attempted to limit the ability of
