Ella McKay, coming to theaters December 12th.
Your father's here. Why?
A heartwarming new comedy from James L. Brooks.
I'm a different person.
I have never been my life out this way about any other woman.
Jesus! I wasn't counting your mother!
It's a perfect holiday comedy about an imperfect family.
You can use a screen, Ella.
Starring Emma Mackey, Jeannie Lee Curtis, Camel Nanjani, Iowa DeBerry,
with Albert Brooks and Woody Harrelson.
You should do that every afternoon.
Ella McKay.
President Trump in the cabinet had a full weekend.
We'll get you up to speed on the economy and immigration visa actions.
Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is out as the Canadian Liberal Party selects Mark Carney as his replacement.
Israel has cut off all electricity from Gaza as the window for Hamas releasing its remaining hostages closes.
I'm Tony Kenned from the Daily Signals Tony Kinnettcast, syndicated nationally at 7 p.m.

Rub the spring forward sleep out of your eyes.
This is the Daily Signals, top news in 10.
In an interview yesterday on Fox News, President Trump was asked if he expects a period of economic recession due to his quickly moving tariff policies with U.S. trading partners and rivals and the impact that's had so far on the stock market.
Here was the president's response.
And I want to ask you about Ukraine and the blow up the other day with Zelensky.
Let me stay on the economy for a moment because there are rising worries about a slowdown.
You've got the Atlanta Federal Reserve saying we're going to have a contraction in the first quarter.
Look, I know that you inherited a mess.
And you said that the other night.
I've only been here.
But are you expecting a recession this year?
I hate to predict things like that.
There is a period of transition
because what we're doing is very big.
We're bringing wealth back to America.
That's a big thing.
And there are always periods of,
it takes a little time.
It takes a little time.
But I think it should be great for us.
I mean, I think it should be great.
It's going to be great.
Ultimately for the farmer.
You know, don't forget, I made the deal with China
on a farmer's where they had it by $50 billion worth of product.
50 billion from 15 to 50.
Did they follow up and do it?
They did it when I was president.
What happened is when Biden was president
and they didn't buy any longer.
Yeah, because there was nobody to call him.
I used to call President Xi.
I said, you've got to do me a favor.
You got to live up to that agreement.
And he was great.
He did.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik
shared a bit of a different take on the matter,
suggesting that the federal government would be shifting to an external revenue fulfillment model
instead of primarily internal taxation via the IRS.
Tariffs are going to drive America better.
Remember, we pay taxes into the internal revenue service.
Wouldn't it be amazing to stop paying taxes to the internal revenue service
and have the external revenue service of Make America Great Again, replace our taxes?
That's the goal of Donald Trump.
And I think he's going to hit there.
He's going to do everything he can to make that happen.
Lower our taxes.
No tax on tips.
No tax on overtime.
No tax on seniors.
Come on.
This is an amazing country.
And we are working.
Secretary of Homeland Security, Christy Noem, took this week's role of humiliating
CBS Margaret Brennan on Face the Nation regarding immigration policy.
Nice to give Secretary Rubio and Vice President advance a bit of a breather.
Here you go.
The administration has revived this policy of detaining migrant families.
parents with children in ICE detention centers. Bush did it, Obama did it, Biden did not.
Have you seen these Texas facilities where children are being held with their parents? Are you
comfortable with it personally? We've got detention facilities across the country and there's
specific ones that are built specifically for families if they are detained. But remember, everybody
has an option. They have an option to be here legally or illegally and they can self-deport as well.
We've set up a system and a website where people who are here illegally right now can
register and they can choose to go home on their own and keep their families united.
Well the kids do have a choice. If they have parents, they make a choice to keep their
families together if they want to or not. They have parents make a decision to leave their
children behind then that's a choice that they made as a family and we need to remember that
when Americans break the law and they have consequences or face a situation, they're
separated from their families too. I don't believe we should prioritize people from other countries
above Americans. But when it comes to reviving the policy of separating families from their children
at the border. We're actually reviving it. That's what I'm going to ask you. So President Biden didn't
follow the law. He didn't follow the law in the fact that it's always been equally applied until
his administration. And then he made decisions to ignore federal law in how he handled immigration and
enforcement within our borders. Over the weekend, House Democrats like my personal favorite,
Representative Jasmine Crockett provided a more novel interpretation of immigration law.
It is not a criminal violation to enter the country illegally. It's not a criminal. It's
a crime. It's not a crime, which is why they're so frustrated because they really want our local
law enforcement to go out and round up people when they could be looking out for the murderers
and the sexual abusers as well as the robbers. They want them to go and round people up on
civil accusations. Of course, 8 U.S. Code Section 1325 explicitly states that entering the country
without permission and or documentation is illegal. But then again, basic literacy hasn't been an
obstacle for Congress in decades. Secretary's Nome and Rubio have also begun the arrest and
deportation of green cardholders in the United States here on student visas for participating in the
violent pro-Hamas riots that took place at dozens of universities like UC Berkeley, Northwestern,
and Columbia University last year.
Secretary Rubio released a statement yesterday afternoon,
reaffirming, quote,
we will be revoking the visas and or green cards
of Hamas supporters in America so they can be deported.
Immigration customs and enforcement has arrested Mahmoud Khalil,
one of the leaders of the pro-Palestine riots and encampments at Columbia University.
His student visa and green card have been reportedly revoked by the State Department.
President Trump's administration has also canceled $400 million in grants to Columbia University,
for their lackluster response to the anti-Semitic assaults and harassments on campus.
President Trump also released a new statement on Greenland,
following up on a prior statement and a little bit of a joke during the State of the Union-style address he gave last week.
For the incredible people of Greenland, we strongly support your right to determine your own future.
And if you choose, we welcome you into the United States of America.
We need Greenland for national security.
even international security and we're working with everybody involved to try and get it.
But we need it really for international world security.
And I think we're going to get it.
One way or the other, we're going to get it.
On Sunday, he posted on Truth Social, quote,
as I made clear during my joint address to Congress,
the United States strongly supports the people of Greenland's right to determine their own future.
We will continue to keep you safe, as we have since World War II.
We are ready to invest billions of dollars to create.
new jobs and make you rich. And if you so choose, we welcome you to be a part of the greatest
nation anywhere in the world, the United States of America. Shifting over to the international front
as the citizens of Romania engage in protests and riots over the barring of right-wing candidate
Kaleen Georgescu from running for president by its electoral commission, Canada's Prime Minister
Justin Trudeau has stepped down and Canada's Liberal Party has selected Mark Carney as his replacement.
Canadians know that new threats demand new ideas and a new plan.
They know that new challenges demand new leadership.
Canadians want positive leadership that will end division and help us build together.
And to respond, my government will put into action our plan to build a stronger economy,
to create new trading relationships with reliable trading partners.
and to secure our borders.
Carney also promised additional tariffs against the United States
until Americans, quote, show us some respect.
The Canadian government has rightly retaliated
and is rightly retaliating with our own tariffs
that will have maximum impact in the United States
and minimum impact here in Canada.
My government will keep our tariffs on
until the Americans show us respect.
We'll have more on Carney,
the U.S.-Canada trade war, Canadian elections, and what that's all about, on the Tony Kinnettcast tonight.
Lastly, as Russia and the United States jointly call for an emergency meeting with the United Nations Security Council
over the escalating violence against civilians in Syria, Israel has cut off electricity to Gaza following the window closing
on President Trump's final warning to Hamas to release the hostages.
The Palestinian authorities in Hamas had used the electricity and plumbing infrastructure
sent en masse to the Gaza region over the last 20 years
to develop weapons like homemade rockets and terror tunnels
instead of providing basic services for those living in the Gaza Strip.
