media asks the important questions about President Trump's legs. A CBS news correspondent says he got
PTSD from the crowd at the attempted assassination of President Trump, and Joe Biden's chief
of staff is the latest to plead the Fifth Amendment to everything in the Joe Biden cover-up scandal.
I'm Tony Kinnett, host of the Daily Signals Tony Kinnett cast, syndicated nationally at 7 p.m. Eastern.
It is Friday, July 18th, 2025. This is the Daily Signal's top news in 10.
Democrat officials, leftist pundits, and legacy media had started posting all kinds of photos of the president of the United States' legs,
noticing a lot of swelling and issued severe concerns of perhaps diabetes or vain conditions that could result in potential amputations,
very serious questions about the health of the president of the United States.
Demands were issued that all of the information regarding the health of the president be released immediately,
expecting that perhaps this might be covered up and no, no, it was not.
White House press secretary Carolyn Levitt answered questions about this immediately at yesterday's
White House press conference.
On another note, I know that many in the media have been speculating about bruising
on the president's hand and also swelling in the president's legs.
So in the effort of transparency, the president wanted me to share a note from his physician
with all of you today.
In recent weeks, President Trump noted mild,
swelling in his lower legs.
In keeping with routine medical care and out of an abundance of caution, this concern was thoroughly
evaluated by the White House Medical Unit.
The President underwent a comprehensive examination, including diagnostic vascular studies.
Bilateral lower extremity venous dupler ultrasounds were performed and revealed chronic
venous insufficiency, a benign and common condition, particularly in individuals over the
the age of 70. Importantly, there was no evidence of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease.
Laboratory testing included a complete blood count, comprehensive metabolic panel,
coagulation profile, D-Dimer, B-type, natriotic, peptide, and cardiac biomarkers. All results
were within normal limits. An echocardiogram was also performed and confirmed normal cardiac
structure and function. No signs.
of heart failure, renal impairment, or systemic illness were identified.
Additionally, recent photos of the President have shown minor bruising on the back of his hand.
This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use
of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen.
This is a well-known and benign side effect of aspirin therapy.
And the President remains in excellent health, which I think all of you witness on a date
basis here. So the president wanted me to share that note with all of you. I'm happy to take
further questions on it. We will provide the memorandum from the president's position to all of you,
as we always do. Additionally, the White House released the full physician memo on President Trump's
leg swelling. And finally, we got the deep, hard-hitting journalism, a special two-minute report from CBS
evening news on the president's health condition. Photos of President Trump circulating online
have raised some questions six months now into his second term.
The pictures show that the president's ankles recently have been swollen,
and there is bruising on the back of his right hand.
Today, trying to put an end to speculation,
the White House released the results of an examination by the president's medical team.
The report signed by the White House physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella,
describes the hand bruises as minor soft tissue irritation.
It says they are the result of frequent handshaking,
and a side effect of taking aspirin for heart health.
And about the swollen ankles,
the diagnosis is chronic venous insufficiency.
Reason to call in our Dr. John Lapuque for an explanation.
So, John, this is a new term for most of us.
What exactly is that?
Right.
Maurice, the heart pumps blood to the brain and the rest of the body through arteries.
But how does it get back against gravity to the heart?
Well, it turns out there are muscles in the leg,
and when they contract, they squeeze the blood upstream against gravity through veins.
And what stops it from falling right back down again is a series of one-wave valves.
Now, as you get older, those valves become weakened.
They can become weakened.
You can get swelling and pooling of blood down there.
You can get varicose veins and swollen legs.
So when the White House discovered this, what kinds of tests did they do?
What did we learn from what they released today?
Well, they were concerned, obviously, about whether there was something more serious going on
than just the chronic venous insufficiency, which is common effects millions of people is relatively benign.
And so they talked about ruling out conditions like heart.
disease and kidney disease and clots in the veins.
Now, they didn't give me the kind of numbers I would have liked to have seen and they didn't talk about more obscure causes.
However, they did say that he remains an excellent health.
So if you have this as the president does, how do you handle this going forward?
You know, it's generally simple things like elevating your legs, having compression stockings, walking around, you know, getting those muscles contracting.
And maybe on Air Force run, one, somebody will remind him, hey, go up and down every now and then.
Take a stroll.
All right, Dr. John LaPooke, thanks for the insight.
Now, where this type of investigative reporting or reporting at all about the president's health was during the Biden administration, I couldn't tell you.
Certainly nowhere on CBS evening news, that's for sure.
That said, I'm sure many Americans are quite pleased that the legacy media has discovered that it is once again okay to report on the health of the president of the United States.

And speaking of CBS News, CBS correspondent Scott McFarlane told Chuck
on the Chuck Todd cast just yesterday that he had post-traumatic stress disorder after the
Trump assassination attempt, not from the actual shooting that was the attempt on President
Trump's life, not from the murder that occurred at that rally that day, but because the crowd
blamed the media in part for exacerbating the rhetoric in the country that led to the assassination
attempt. For those of us there, it was such a horror because you saw an emerging America. And it wasn't
the shooting, Chuck. I got diagnosed with PTSD within 48 hours. I got put on trauma leave.
Not because I think of the shooting, but because you saw it in the eyes, the reaction to the people.
They were coming for us. If he didn't jump up with his fist, they were going to come kill us. I know.
And lastly, former First Lady Jill Biden's chief of staff, Anthony Bernal, is the latest to plead the Fifth Amendment to almost every single question in the Oversight Committee hearing over the Joe Biden mental collapse cover-up scandal.
Mr. Bernal, did you ever advise President Joe Biden to pardon his son, Hunter Biden?
On the advice of counsel, I respectfully declined to answer the question pursuant to my Fifth Amendment rights under the Constitution.
Mr. Bernal, was President Joe Biden fit to exercise the duties of the President?
On the advice of counsel, I respectfully declined to answer the question pursuant to my Fifth Amendment rights under the Constitution.
Let the record reflect that Mr. Bernal has invoked the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.
Mr. Bernal, please be very clear.
Are you declining to answer the question put to you solely on the ground that you believe the answer will incriminate you?
On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer the question pursuant to my Fifth Amendment.
rights under the Constitution.
Mr. Bernal, did any unelected official or family member of President Joe Biden execute the duties
of the presidency?
On the advice of counsel, I respectfully declined to answer the question pursuant to my
Fifth Amendment rights under the Constitution.
Let the record reflect that Mr. Bernal has invoked the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.
Mr. Bernal, please be very clear, are you declining to answer the question put to you solely
on the ground that you believe the answer will incriminate you?
On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer the question pursuant to my Fifth Amendment rights under the Constitution.
Mr. Bernal, did President Joe Biden ever instruct you to lie regarding his health at any time, including but not limited in your testimony to Congress today?
On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer the question pursuant to my Fifth Amendment rights under the Constitution.
Let the record reflect that Mr. Bernal has invoked the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.
Mr. Bernal, please be very clear.
Are you declining to answer the question put to you solely on the ground that you believe the answer will incriminate you?
On the advice of counsel, I respectfully declined to answer the question pursuant to my Fifth Amendment rights under the Constitution.
Mr. Bernal, is it your intention to decline to answer all questions put to you today by the committee on the basis of the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination?
I can represent that that is his intention.
You might remember Anthony Bernal from the undercover video of David Hogg, former Vice Chair of the Democratic National.
National Committee, alleging that Bernal was one of the individuals chiefly in charge of the
presidential mental collapse cover-up.
The bigger issue was like the inner circle that was without Biden.
That's it.
And I can't stress, I can't straight to see you a note.
But Jill Biden's chief of staff, like had an enormous amount of power.
Jill Biden?
Jill Biden's chief of staff.
That was like an open secret at the left.
Like, I would avoid them.
Like, he was scary.
What was the same?
Um, Anthony.
Representative Byron Donalds of Florida, a Republican and member of the Oversight Committee,
gave a couple takeaway statements on the string of Fifth Amendment responses.
First things first, that's just crazy.
You can't answer a simple question about the former president's ability to discharge his duties,
and you worked in the White House as chief of staff to the first lady,
and you come in here and you plead the fifth,
he can say whatever he wants in his testimony, which by the way, his attorney,
read. He would even read his own statement. His attorney read a statement for him. So you came in there
and said that him pleading the fifth is not an admission of guilt or anything about what was going on
in the Biden White House or was to give any inkling to the fact that Joe Biden was lacking in capability.
The fact that he couldn't make any statement, the fact that the White House doctor couldn't make any
statement, and they both pled the fifth, which is their constitutional right to do. And we respect
the Constitution like every American does. But the fact that they are now hiding behind the
institution so that they don't have to tell the truth to the American people about Joe Biden's
capabilities and mental faculties while he was president of the United States is not just shocking.
It's stunning and it demonstrates the level of corruption that was going on in that administration.
Before you go, head down to the description and make sure you're subscribed to the Tony Kinnettcast.

about the President of the United States and alleged naked doodles.

Take care.
