Now, let's get started with today's conversation right after this. On the side of a beautiful mountain in central Virginia where it's apple season with the king of the apple in central Virginia. His name is Eric. You might recognize the last name, Eric Trump. How are you doing, Eric? I'm doing well as you. It's good to have you back. I never thought I'd be king of the apple, but we planted about 16,000 apple trees. Trump winery, Trump sideries, so I guess that makes us king of the apple now. That'll do it for you.

Starting point is 00:01:41 How has the cidery division? And if you don't know, the Trump family purchased this winery, what, 10 years ago? Yeah, a little bit over, closer to 15 years ago. And it's become the largest winery on the east coast of the United States. And we started a cider two years ago when we planted, as I said, close to 16,000 apple trees. People love the winery. People love the cider. We're distributed in 42 states, I think seven or eight countries around the world.

Starting point is 00:02:05 Again, the largest wineries, the Mississippi River, and we've won every award. We won San Francisco last year. I mean, we've absolutely done great, but people love the wine, people love the cider, and people just love the property. Well, and I've told you this before, when you're in Charlottesville, aside from trying to get the tour of my studios, first free coffee bar, but the Trump winery, the tasting room, the cidery. It is absolutely stunning. It's all the best views of Virginia as well. And I'm not saying that just because Eric's taller than I am, and I'm intimidated. So, you're here, it's the first year of the apples, and you've been having folks in the community come up and do Apple picking here as well.

Starting point is 00:02:44 How is that gone? Listen, what's more All-American than, you know, apple picking, right? And we have, one of the ciders is called Donnie Appleseed. We're having a lot of fun with it. We have a Passion Patriot. We're thinking about, and our general managers, he'll kill me for saying this, but we're thinking about an impeachment. So it'll be an apple slider, but it'll be, you know, peach-based. So we're thinking about calling it, and we've got a red, white, and blue.

Starting point is 00:03:05 berry, we're having a lot of fun with the ceditors, but honestly, they're delicious. They're made the same way that we make our sparkling wines. They're the best thing you'll ever taste. They're amazing. And the whole property is incredible. And the hotel is, I mean, you can't even get into the hotel. It's, you know, very small. We only have 14 rooms and people book it up literally months in advance. And it's, it's been so, so incredible this whole property. Travel guides have called the Albumarle House, which is their hotel here, one of the best destination, bed and breakfast inns in the nation. And again, nothing. Trump does is done halfway. You told me that when you guys took over the winery here, Eric. I have to ask, though, growing up in New York City like I did, you know, there's parts of upstate New York, which we all, in New York City, we called upstate New York, Westchester, where there was apple picking. Please tell me there are some instances where you and your dad went apple picking up in,

Starting point is 00:03:57 you know, upstate New York. And it's still traditional. My kids, too. I try and take them every year. And listen, what's a better, what's a better tradition? And now in Virginia, they're actually doing apple picking a little bit different. We obviously have incredible apple trees, but they're also, we're taking a lot of the apple trees and putting them on trellises similar to what you do with wine. Oh, wow.

Starting point is 00:04:14 And what it does is for small kids, it makes it a lot easier. They're actually able to go and pick the apple versus trying to climb to the top of a tree. And so you get better yields, you get better apples, you get better varietals. And so, you know, we've really, you know, we have pink lady apples. We have, I mean, there's 30 different varietals of apples. People come out here, they have the greatest time. And the food is absolutely exceptional. Of course, now you have to take secret service protection with you.

Starting point is 00:04:37 It's not as easy as go away. I'm going to segue into you've just released your new book Under Siege. Talk about this look inside the family. You, Lara, you know, everyone knows you and Don Jr. And the whole family, probably more than a lot of presidents. Your family has been part of the affair. when did you finally say somebody needs to write all this down? Yeah.

Starting point is 00:05:04 Well, you know, they tried everything they could. And you've known me for a long time. You know many of the things that they put us through. But they peace my father twice. They made up the dirty dossiers. They made up the Russia hoax. They took us off the ballots of Maine and Colorado. They threw us off of Instagram and Facebook and Twitter and YouTube, everything you can

Starting point is 00:05:21 possibly imagine. They raided our home. They raided Marlago. They raided Melania's closet. I became the most opinion of person in American history. I've never got a speeding ticket, Joe, and I became the most opinion of person in American history for doing absolutely not. I never had a laptop from hell. You know, I never had any of those bad habits that other people have had.

Starting point is 00:05:37 And yet I became a person who was used as a pinata, right, because I happened to run the company. They indicted my father 91 times every single one of them we've overturned. They did everything they could to bankrupt us to try and destroy our company, to try and destroy our family, to try and break up our family, to try and silence our voice, to try and gag order us as we were all gag ordered. every court and every jurisdiction across this country. And I had to write it all down. And then they tried to kill my father in Butler the first time. And then they tried to kill him the second time. And then they just killed a very good friend of mine, Charlie Kirk.

Starting point is 00:06:09 And that's what it was. It was a siege. It was a coordinated effort to destroy us in any way shape because they didn't want our voice. They didn't want us to stand on that stage. They hated who we were. And they would do anything they possibly could. And Joe, it's amazing. I spent a lot of time talking about fake media in the book.

Starting point is 00:06:25 And I happened to win number one on New York Times. And this wasn't, the great irony of this, but this wasn't just by like a little amount, right? I mean, I, you know, I won by, you know, near 100,000 books on New York Times. So it was a decisive, I never thought I'd be the number one, number one author in the country right now. This was not, you know, I'm a real estate guy. This is what I do. I do hospitality. You see the best of what I do every single day.

Starting point is 00:06:47 But somebody had to tell the story about the crookedness and the book has been so unbelievably successful. It's been Amazon number one constantly for the last. you know, three weeks and I'm incredibly proud of it. I mean, it was just very honest, very raw, no holding back, probably will ruffle some feathers. But those feathers needed to be ruffled. And his pop writes the forward to the book as well, get it for your Christmas gift giving guide. How do you think just, you know, we're here, you know, and I talk to folks, Eric, Eric Trump's on with us. You know, it's only been nine months of Trump 2.0.

Starting point is 00:07:24 I mean, there's still three years left of this. what's going to be left in the tank? Well, he'll have a lot left in the tank because the guy's just saying. I don't mean his energy, but what? Yeah, I mean, he's unbelievable. I constantly say he throws so much lead in the air that the other side, they don't know what to do with it. Like, they can't counter-narrative, meaning by the time they try and start formulating their willing narrative and getting all their foot soldiers online, he's seven steps past them. Then they have to counter-in-air.

Starting point is 00:07:48 That was yesterday's news. And listen, he's got a piece in the Middle East. He solved, you know, seven wars. Look at our economy right now. Biggest tax cuts in the history of this nation. and you see what he's doing with energy prices. Energy prices are coming down in massive ways. Look what he's doing with fentanyl.

Starting point is 00:08:03 I mean, never before that I think you're going to have a political party in this country that was going to fight a president who wanted to take out drugboats, those drug boats carrying fentanyl who are literally poisoning our children. I have four friends who have lost kids to fentanyl, four, who have, and we all do. I'm sure you have friends that have and pretty much everybody are listening to us right now, and you see these Democrats, and they're saying they're saying a boat that's carrying enough fentanyl to poison 10,000 people,

Starting point is 00:08:26 you know, how dare you take out on the drug cartels? And my father's keeping this world safe. He's keeping this country safe. He's keeping our border safe. He's keeping the strongest economy. He's putting America first again. He's leading the world in everywhere. And look at the reception he gets.

Starting point is 00:08:40 He's over in Asia right now. Look at the reception he has over in Asia. No president had. You know, Obama would go to Asia. He'd go to China. They wouldn't even bring staircase up to Air Force One. He would go down like the little kid stairs on like the base of Air Force One. It's so refreshing to see.

Starting point is 00:08:54 America's winning on every front. and I couldn't be more proud of him. Like I said, there's still three years of this left. Eric Trump, thank you so much for the cidery. Shocking. Shocking.

Starting point is 00:09:44 It matters. Virginia matters. And we love the people here, and I love my team here, and so honored for what we've been able to do for this community. And this place was not. You remember 15 years ago what we. created here or something truly exceptional. Very proud of it. And Virginia in general is very exceptional.
