Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, revokes security clearances from 37 current and former officials.
New information shows CBS illegal 60 Minutes editing during the Kamala Harris campaign may have been a habit,
and Loudoun County Public Schools in Virginia suspends students for complaining about the opposite sex in their changing rooms.
I'm Tony Kennett, host of the Daily Signals Tony Kennedcast, syndicated nationally at 7 p.m. Eastern.
It is Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
This is the Daily Signal's top news in 10.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard
revoked 37 individuals' security clearances
in present and prior administrations yesterday afternoon,
stating, quote,
being entrusted with a security clearance is a privilege, not a right.
Those in the intelligence community
who betray their oath to the Constitution
and put their own interests ahead of the interests of American people,
have broken the sacred trust they promised to uphold.
In doing so, they undermine our national security,
the safety and security of the American people,
and the foundational principles of our Democratic Republic.
This is why, at the president's direction,
the office the Director of National Intelligence
has directed the revocation of the security clearances
of 37 current and former intelligence professionals
who have abused the public trust
by politicizing and manipulating intelligence,
leaked classified intelligence without authorization,
and or have committed intentional egregious violations of tradecraft standards.
Our intelligence community must be committed to upholding the values and principles enshrined in the U.S. Constitution
and maintain a laser-like focus on our mission of ensuring the safety, security, and freedom of the American people.
While several of these individuals, such as Vin Nogoyan, according to Paul Sperry over at Real Clear Investigations,
were directly involved with Russiagate, for example, Vin being the Clapper deputy who pressured
the ICA whistleblower to support the fake Putin-Trump conclusions,
a one-time McCann campaign worker,
as well as a member of the McCain Alumni Club,
who incorporated crowd strikes bogus report
on Russian hacking into the intelligence community assessment.
Many of the individuals are not connected
in any definitive way, at least so far,
with the Russiagate scandal.
However, according to a couple of data analyses,
for example by data analyst David,
Maynard, some of the individuals who were canned from the intelligence community security clearance,
such as Luke R. Hardig, as well as Joel Mayer, and Charles Kupchen, are those who are
suspected to have leaked intelligence reports to American media amid certain political scandals
or major international developments. Laura Lumer suggested that one of the individuals who had
their intelligence security clearance removed was Mahair Bitar, who she claims is a terrorist
or terror sympathizer tied to Palestinian Muslim and other Middle Eastern Islamic terror organizations,
such as Hamas Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Marxist Popular Front for the
liberation of Palestine. And Paramount CBS appears to be in additional trouble. You'll recall that the
$16 million settlement was paid by the CBS Paramount Group to the Trump campaign after they were sued
for editing illegal, according to FCC regulations, the Kamala Harris 60 Minutes interview during
the 2024 presidential election to make Kamala Harris appear far more coherent than was
originally recorded. But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening. Well, Bill,
Well, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel
that were very much prompted by or a result of many things,
including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.
But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.
We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be
clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.
Though many in legacy media attributed this settlement to some kind of apology to the Trump
administration and then further suggested this was why Stephen Colbert is being canceled on
his late show eight months from now, it appears that additional evidence shows that the CBS
Paramount Group did not make the 60 Minutes edits for Democrat campaigns a one-time
thing, not just for Kamala Harris, but also for Joe Biden. According to the New York Times,
James Stewart, quote, Ms. Redstone said that CBS personnel had told her that in October
23, when Scott Pelly of 60 Minutes interviewed President Joseph R. Biden Jr., the president had
seemed drowsy and had to be prodded to answer. This would mean that after President Joe Biden
had declared his candidacy earlier on in 2023, there was an effort.
made by 60 minutes to then go back and cover up the interview.
The interview later looked a little bit like this after the edits.
Why do you feel so strongly?
What does Israel mean to you?
The Jews have been subject to abuse prejudice and attempt to wipe them out for over a thousand years.
For me, it's about decency, respect.
honor. It's just simply wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. It violates every religious principle I have
in every way and every single principle my father taught me. As we spoke to the president, his secretary
of state was in Israel. His defense secretary was at a NATO meeting on Ukraine. America's oldest
president seemed tired from directing all of this, but he was very clear on what he stood for and how his
policies in his view would see America through.
Mr. President, given these two wars and the dysfunction in Congress, are you sure that you
want to run again?
Yes, because I'm sure, look, when I ran, I said, the world's an inflection point.
The world's changing, but we have an opportunity to make it.
So imagine if we were able to succeed in getting the Middle East put in place.
where we have normalization of relations.
I think we can do that.
Imagine what happens if we fact,
unite all of Europe.
And Putin has finally put down where he cannot cause the kind of trouble
he's been causing.
We have enormous opportunities,
enormous opportunities to make it a better world.
Now, while the election manipulation and latent FCC violations
are listed in the article in the New York Times
on why did Sherry Redstone give up?
control of Paramount. This is buried rather far down the particular article, and Alex Thompson of
Axios is one of the original individuals who brought that particular paragraph to the top.
As severate corporal legal analysts have put it rather bluntly, if one wanted to hide additional
cases of election manipulation, editing that does not coincide with FCC regulations,
and perhaps other infractions showing the bias of the CBS Paramount Corpour.
corporation, then filing a settlement before a particular lawsuit reached the discovery stage
would be the best way to do so, and is in fact common practice with a lot of settlements
that occur before the discovery stage.
At Capital One, we're more than just a credit card company.
We're people just like you who believe in the power of yes.
Yes to new opportunities.
Yes to second chances.
Yes to a fresh start.
That's why we've helped over four million Canadians get.
access to a credit card because at Capital One, we say yes, so you don't have to hear another no.
What will you do with your yes?
Get the yes you've been waiting for at Capital One.ca.ca.
Yes, Terms and conditions apply.
And last but not least, Loudoun County Public Schools is again in national news for
suspending a couple of students for 10 days because they had the gall to suggest that they
didn't want members of the opposite sex in their changing room while claiming to be another
gender. My colleague Tyler O'Neill over at the Daily Signal has been following this story closely.
The school district saying that two boys who complained about a girl using the men's locker room
are themselves. The boys who complained are the ones in violation of Title IX for harassing
this girl who, of course, the school refers to as a boy. So so much transgender insanity here.
And all this is happening today.
was a new ruling a notice from the Department of Education, the federal one, where the
Office of Civil Rights said that Loudoun County is among the five Northern Virginia counties
that are found to be, you know, I think the word here is in danger of, yeah, high risk status
is what it is. So all federal funds are cut off from these counties, these school districts,
except in the case of reimbursements.
I don't know exactly why, but the reimbursements have to be,
there's a little bit more of another hurdle there.
But as of today, right, there's congressional apportionment
that is directly related to reimbursements.
But that's a small fraction compared to what Loudoun's about to be asked off.
Yes, and all these school districts just lost it.
So Loudon's the one that really stands out.
I'm here in Fairfax County, which is also on.
the list. I remember in the protests in 2021 and later when everybody had the signs that say
Fairfath triple X county, which I thought was very apt, unfortunately. These counties are defying
the Trump administration by standing with gender insanity against common sense.
Dr. Michelle Reed, the Virginia State Superintendent mocked the Justice Department and the Department
of Education for pulling the funding from last.
Loudoun County Public Schools. Check it out.
I did send a message home to families on Friday and we're going to continue to be the school division that welcomes and includes all students regardless of what the Office of Civil Rights has recently suggested.
And we do expect some type of response at some point later this week.
To which the Assistant Attorney General of Civil Rights for the Justice Department,
Harmeet Dillon, responded and I quote,
Oh yeah?
This usually results in a series of federal lawsuits following.
lawsuits following. Before you go, head down to the description and make sure you're subscribed to
the Tony Kennedcast and join us tonight at 7 p.m. Eastern, where we not only join my colleague
Virginia Allen for a couple of new reports in the Trump-Ukrainian Russo situation, but also a roundup
of the day's news and nonsense of which we never seem to run short. I'm Tony Kinnett,
and this has been The Daily Signals Top News in 10. Take care.
