Hi, I'm Brian Gottstein, and this is the Daily Signal Top News for Wednesday, November 15. Here are today's headlines.
Israeli troops reportedly stormed Gaza's largest hospital on Wednesday. The Al-Sheifa Hospital was suspected of being a base for Hamas terrorists.
The White House confirmed that Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad were using the hospital and tunnels underneath to conduct military operations and hold hostages.
The Biden administration opposes striking the hospital from the air.
According to Reuters, Israel said that it found weapons and, quote, terror infrastructure inside the hospital after engaging in combat outside the facility.
However, once inside, they didn't engage in any fighting with the staff, according to the report.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke about the operation after it was finished.
There is no place in Gaza that we cannot reach.
There are no hideouts.
there is no shelter or refuge for the Hamas murderers, he said.
China and the United States agreed to a new climate deal on Tuesday night.
This was hashed out ahead of the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference,
or COP28, set to take place at the end of November.
The deal includes a plan to triple renewable energy production globally by 2030,
which is one of the goals of COP28.
The deal notably doesn't include any additional research.
on China's coal production or its plans to build more coal-burning energy plants.
China is the largest coal producer in the world.
According to some estimates, China produces about four times as much coal as the United States.
Representative Rashida Talib, a Michigan Democrat and a member of the squad,
is in a social media group along with other members who glamorize the terrorist group Hamas.
This is according to a Fox News report released on Wednesday.
Taleb is a member of the Palestinian American Congress group on Facebook.
The Facebook group is hidden from non-members and doesn't appear in searches on the platform.
The House of Representatives voted to censure Taleb with a 234-188 vote last week
and rebuke to her anti-Israel comments since the October 7th terrorist attack.
Those comments did not involve her membership in the Facebook group.
Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramoswamy has launched a campaign to get
rid of Republican National Committee chairwoman Rana McDaniel. According to the daily caller,
Ramoswamy created fire rana.com to unseat McDaniel, who has come under fire following two
disappointing Republican election cycles. During the third Republican presidential primary debate,
Ramoswamy fired barbs at McDaniel, calling the GOP a party of losers under her direction.
He offered to cede his place on the stage if she would take his microphone and publicly resign.
Following the debate, McDaniel responded by saying that Ramoswamy was just looking for headlines.
The Daily Signal is exclusively live streaming a Republican presidential candidate forum this Friday.
We're partnering with the National Pro-Family Group, the Family Leader Foundation.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley,
and entrepreneur Vivek Ramoswamy, will be speaking at the event,
which will be live at the Des Moines Marriott in Des Moines, Iowa, from 3.30 to 630 this Friday.
The candidates will be gathered around a Thanksgiving table talking about their hearts, their worldviews, and the issues,
and going beyond the news headlines.
Former President Donald Trump declined the invitation to speak while South Carolina Senator Tim Scott received an invitation,
but has since suspended his campaign.
