Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa releases documents showing Obama's administration rigged the Hillary Clinton emails investigation,
and Hunter Biden's profanity-laced interview hits a bit close to home for Democrat officials.
I'm Tony Kennett, host of the Daily Signals Tony Kennett cast, syndicated nationally at 7 p.m. Eastern.
It is Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025.
This is the Daily Signal's top news in 10.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced yesterday afternoon that the 230,000 pages
worth of MLK assassination files and audio and photos and a whole lot more on the Martin Luther
King Jr. assassination is now available to the general public. These can be found at Archives.gov
slash MLK. According to D&I Gabbard, quote, the documents include details about the FBI's investigation into the assassin
assassination of MLK, discussion of potential leads, internal FBI memos detailing the progress of
the case, information about James Earl Ray's former cellmate who stated he discussed with Ray
an alleged assassination plot and more. Thanks to President Trump's leadership, executive order
14176 resulted in three unprecedented interagency efforts to identify, digitize, declassify,
and release files related to the federal government's investigations into the assassinations of
President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and Dr. King.
While the files about the assassination of President JFK were already digitized and stored online,
all of the paper files and many of the audio reels were not yet digitized and stored on digital media,
meaning that over the last couple of months, many in the intelligence agencies were working at the direction of Tulsi Gabbard
to get all of these files compiled, sorted, and put online, the files that many of the King,
family wanted released, and apparently at least according to some of the early statements
from investigators, some of the files that the King family did not want released.
We're not going to make a ton of speculation yet because I am certain that those who are
currently scavenging a quarter of a million pages worth of documents, audio files,
interviews, et cetera, they have their work cut out for them.
Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa just released a new package of declassified annex material
from the 2018 Department of Justice and Office of the Inspector General report
detailing former FBI director James Comey's handling of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's illegal,
private email servers, file backups, and communications processing.
In short, the annex files show that Comey and many in the FBI directly under him
deliberately forestalled and sandbagged the Clinton investigation and refused to take basic investigative
and trade craft steps that would have revealed how seriously Clinton had compromised national security,
specifically that many of the flash drives that the federal government had originally ascertained
were very, very classified, highly sensitive intelligence. Clinton had essentially allowed to fall
into Russian hands due to her improper handling of classified information, a serious federal crime.
The DOJ's OIG's Clinton annex shows the FBI obtained thumb drives from a source during
the Clinton investigation, but then FBI director James Comey, as well as then Deputy FBI Director
Andrew McCabe, former FBI agent Peter Strach and others, failed to perform additional targeted
searches of the drives, even though they contained information relevant to the inquiry.
The DOJ Inspector General report illustrates that the FBI failed to thoroughly and completely
investigate the Clinton matter as a result, as well as vet the serious national security risks
created by Clinton's careless handling of classified information.
According to the Department of Justice Inspector General Report,
the thumb drives contained highly sensitive information,
exfiltrated from U.S. government agencies, including the Department of State,
as well as then-President Barack Obama's emails and potentially congressional information.
The thumb drives were never reviewed as part of the Clinton investigation,
contrary to the recommendation of a draft FBI memorandum.
The DOJ OIG report also shows,
the drives should have been immediately reviewed for foreign intelligence purposes, but were not.
You can also see in several of the emails that the Obama office directly ordered Comey and the DOJ
not to investigate or take any claims regarding Hillary Clinton's emails and sensitive
information storage seriously, as they said it might be a stain to Obama's legacy at the
end of his second term as president. Essentially, the FBI was aware that there were certain
thumb drives containing highly sensitive and classified information that Hillary Clinton had retained.
That retaining of information led to the leaking to organizations like international espionage groups
and the Russian Federation, who then held on to that particular data. That was swept under the rug
and not included as a part of an investigation into Hillary Clinton as to not stain President
Obama and, at the time, candidate for the election of president, Hillary Clinton, uploaded just over
an hour before we started recording, Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, said in an interview
that he had no problem bringing former President Barack Obama in via a subpoena to discuss these
released classified documents. Check it out. You say there must be accountability. The DOJ
will work on the criminal aspect of this. What's the role of the House here specifically?
I mean, people want to see subpoenas. They want to see depositions. They want to see whether
it be Brennan, Clapper, potentially the former president of the United States, are
Are you willing to go down that route?
Because a lot of people want to see some of these folks questioned under oath.
Of course.
Look, I think we have a responsibility to follow the truth where it leads and to do it
in an unbiased fashion to do effectively the opposite of what that other team did.
They're engaging in a partisan political plot to take down their foe and the other party.
We need to be about the rule of law and bringing order to the chaos and searching out
the truth because the American people are owed.
those answers. So we have some very bright, very capable, very strong leaders at judiciary
oversight, you know, Chairman Jim Jordan, Chairman Jamie Comer, and the other committees that would
be involved. And I do expect that whether there's a special counsel appointed, which some are
suggesting, and or in conjunction with the House investigations, that we will get the answers.
And there will be accountability to the extent that we're able to do that, referring people to
the DOJ for prosecution and any other measure that is appropriate as we begin to uncover more of
Does it get tricky at all with the former President, President Obama, looking at what his role in this is and bringing him in for some sort of deposition, potential subpoena?
Well, listen, I mean, I can't, we have no concern about that. If it's uncomfortable for him, he shouldn't have been involved in overseeing this, which is what it appears to us has happened.
There's a lot of allegations on the table. Our job is to go and follow each of those trails and to find out the truth.
So those are very serious allegations with very serious implications, but we're going to have very serious
people working on it, and we will get the answers.
Lastly, Hunter Biden's interview with Channel 5's Andrew Callahan over on YouTube swept over
the internet and media and the political sphere in general.
Hunter Biden went off on a rant about how much he despised George Clooney, the Pod Save America
Bros, who were former Obama speechwriters, James Carvel, David Axelrod, and the like
inside the Democrat Party. Check it out.
But the fuck him.
Fuck him.
Fuck him and everybody around him.
I don't have to be fucking nice.
Number one, I agree with Quentin Tarantino.
Fucking George Clooney is not a fucking actor.
He is a fucking, like, I don't know what he is.
He's a brand.
And James Carville, who hasn't run a race in 40 fucking years.
And David Axelrod, who had one success in his political life,
and that was Barack Obama.
And that was because of Barack Obama,
not because of fucking David Axelrod.
And David Pluff, in all of these guys,
and the Pod Save America guys,
who were junior fucking speechwriters in, you know, on Barack Obama's Senate staff who have been dining out on the relationship with him for years.
At one point, he also got rather excited at the discussion about the making and the effects of crack cocaine.
There's the only difference between crack cocaine and cocaine is sodium bicarbonate and water and heat, literally.
That's it? That's it.
S safer than alcohol, probably.
People think of crack as being dirty.
It's the exact opposite.
One of the worst moments for Hunter Biden and the rest of the Democrat Party came when Hunter described what he thought about illegal immigration and the purpose of keeping certain individuals here illegally in the country.
For someone, I'm going to be like all these Democrats say, you have to talk about and realize that people are really upset about illegal immigration.
Fuck you.
How do you think your hotel room gets cleaned?
How do you think you have food on your fucking table?
Who do you think washes your dishes?
Who do you think does your fucking garden?
Who do you think is here by the fucking sheer,
just grit and will that they figured out a way to get here
because they thought that they could give themselves and their family a better chance?
And he's somehow convinced all of us that these people are the fucking criminals?
These comments closely mirror those of, for example, Los Angeles Karen Bass
and many other Democrat officials who also suggest the most important thing
about keeping illegal immigrants in the country is the cheap,
labor they provide. That we have entire sectors of our economy that cannot function without immigrant
labor. I don't know many people that want a job out there in those packing facilities. I don't see
many people look like me jumping at those jobs. I just don't. Before you go, head down to the
