Our colleague Fred Lucas is reporting that three FBI whistleblowers told a congressional panel stories about punishment, revoked security clearances, and firings after informing supervisors of things they didn't want to hear. Ahead of the hearing, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, a Republican from Ohio, said that

Starting point is 00:00:42 Catholics, pro-lifers, and parents attending school board meetings were targets of the FBI. Let's take a listen to some of Jordan's comments via Forbes Breaking News's YouTube. If you're a parent attending a school board meeting, you're a pro-lifer praying at a clinic, or you're a Catholic simply going to Mass, you are a target of the government, target of the FBI. Whistleblowers testifying before the subcommittee were FBI Special Agent Garrett O'Boy, former FBI Special Agent Steve Friend, FBI Staff Operations, Marcus Allen, and Counsel for the Whistleblowers, Tristan Levitt, who is the president of Empower Oversight. Florida Representative Greg Stuby, a Republican, also spoke during the hearing about the FBI and the Democratic Party.

Starting point is 00:01:30 Let's take a listen to his comments. And based on y'all's testimony, the report that we have seen, the FBI has turned into the enforcement arm of the Democratic Party, going after pro-life individuals, going after individuals who were not in restricted areas on January 6, who were not violent on January 6, using SWAT teams to go after them to try to intimidate them. And then when officers like yourself, who have served our country, who have served the FBI, who have served in law enforcement, suddenly want to raise concerns and use the whistleblower status to be able to, hey, you know, this isn't right. This isn't the way that we should be treating these individuals.

Starting point is 00:02:07 This isn't fair. suddenly the FBI is shutting you out, taking away your clearances, taking away your pay, shutting you down so that your families can't even survive financially. Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Green, a Republican, announced on Thursday that she will file articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden. During a press conference, Green said, it is with the highest amount of solemnity that I announced my intention to introduce articles of impeachment today on the head of this America last executive branch that has been working since January 20, 2021 to systematically destroy this country, the president of

Starting point is 00:02:51 the United States, Joseph Robinette Biden. Rasmussen tweeted this afternoon that 71% of Republicans want Biden impeached, but only 14% of them think it is very likely that Congress will actually pursue impeachment proceedings. The Hill reports that Green also introduce articles on impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, as well as plans to introduce articles of impeachment against FBI director Christopher Ray and U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C., Matthew Graves. We'll keep you updated as this story develops. Florida rep Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican, filed a motion yesterday to kick California Representative Adam Schiff, a Democrat out of Congress. In a tweet, Luna labeled Schiff, a

Starting point is 00:03:37 dishonor to the House of Representatives and said he lied to the American people. She also said that he used his position on House Intel to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars. Luna also tweeted separately that knowingly using your position on House Intel to push a lie that ripped apart our country, cost taxpayers millions of dollars, and authorized spying on a U.S. president, and then proceeding to double down on the lie within days of the Durham report coming out makes you unfit for office. Starting point is 00:04:13 special counsel John Durham in a widely anticipated report released Monday condemned the Justice Department and the FBI for their conduct in the Russian collusion investigation of former President Donald Trump. Durham's investigation looked at the origins of Crossfire Hurricane, the name of the FBI probe of whether Trump or his 2016 presidential campaign,

Starting point is 00:04:35 colluded with Russians to win the election. The investigation was taken over by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, a former FBI director, after Trump was elected president. Mueller's team concluded there was no evidence of conspiracy or collusion between Trump or his campaign and Russia. Schiff responded to Luna's motion tweeting, Breaking News. A MAG of Republican member of Congress just filed a motion to expel me from the U.S. House of Representatives. I stood up to Donald Trump and held extreme MAGA forces accountable.

Starting point is 00:05:09 Now they want payback. They'll go after anyone who defends the rule of law. Missouri Representative Cory Bush, a Democrat, introduced a bill yesterday that aims to provide $14 trillion in reparations for black Americans. Bush said in a news conference Wednesday that the United States has a moral and legal obligation to provide reparations for the enslavement of Africans and its lasting harm on the lives of millions of black people. She also said America must provide reparations if we desire a prosperous future for all. California Representative Barbara Lee, a Democrat, tweeted about her

Starting point is 00:05:46 support for Bush's legislation, saying reparations is not just about repairing the damage. Reparations means equity. Reparations means justice. Reparations means dismantling the systems that have kept us marginalized. Texas Representative Chip Roy, Republican, said the notion of reparations are so absurd, they don't even merit a response. Alabama Representative Gary Palmer, who is also Republican, also weighed in saying, we're at a situation right now where the country is dealing with a serious debt issue. And to add to that would be problematic for the whole country. For our economy, it just doesn't make sense.
