I'm Samantha O'Sheras. I'm Virginia Allen. And this is the Daily Signal Top News for Friday, November 4th. Here are today's headlines. Republican lawmakers released a report earlier today titled FBI whistleblowers, what their disclosures indicate about the politicization of the FBI and Justice Department. The report, which is more than a thousand pages, shines light on FBI misconduct and DOJ politicization. Fox News reported.

The report's executive summary says the Federal Bureau of Investing, under the stewardship of Director Christopher Ray and Attorney General Merrick Garland is broken. The problem lies not with the majority of frontline agents who serve our country, but with the FBI's politicized bureaucracy. The report also said that over the last year, a multitude of whistleblowers have approached Judiciary Committee Republicans with allegations of political bias by the FBI's senior leadership and misuses of the agency's federal law enforcement powers. We will be insured to include a link to the full report in the show notes for anyone who is interested in reading it. NBA star Kyrie Irving has been suspended for at least five games without pay.

The suspension comes after he would not unequivocally say he has no anti-Semitic beliefs, according to the Associated Press. Irving, who plays for the Brooklyn Nets, would not issue an apology for tweeting a link to an anti-Semitic work called Hebrews to Negroes, Wake Up Black. America. MBA Commissioner Adam Silver sought an apology from Irving, but none was given initially, according to the Associated Press. However, he did issue one on Thursday night following the suspension. Irving wrote a lengthy apology on his Instagram account, saying, to all Jewish families and communities that are hurt and affected from my post, I am deeply sorry to have caused you pain, and I apologize. Rapper Kanye West, or Yay, was also recently called out for his anti-Semitic comments.

Twitter and META suspended his account last month due to his comments. A number of companies also ended their relationship with West, including Adidas and Balenciaga. The Treasury Department announced today that two Haitian politicians are facing U.S. sanctions over allegations of narcotics trafficking. Undersecretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, Brian E. Nelson said today, Joseph Lambert and Yori Latorto have abused their official positions to traffic drugs and collaborated with criminal and gang networks to undermine the rule of law in Haiti.

The United States and our international partners will continue to take action against those who facilitate drug trafficking, enable corruption, and seek to profit from instability in Haiti. Lambert has a history of drug trafficking for over two years, including leading and facilitating the trafficking of cocaine to Haiti from Colombia, the press release said. Similarly, Latour 2 has also been engaged with trafficking cocaine and engaging in violence on his behalf, the release said. Democrat-run counties and cities have a murder problem, according to a new report from the Heritage Foundation. The report lists the top 30 cities in the U.S. with the highest murder rates. 27 of them are run by Democrats. Chicago had the highest rate with 304 homicides as of June 30, 2022.

The report's authors write, Those on the left know that their soft-on-crime policies have wreaked havoc in the cities where they have implemented those policies. It is not hard to understand why reforms, such as ending care, cash bail, defunding the police, refusing to prosecute entire categories of crimes, letting thousands of convicted felons out of prison early, significantly cutting prison population, and other progressive ideas have led to massive spikes in crime, particularly violent crime, including murder, in the communities where those on the left have implemented them.

The report comes shortly after Hillary Clinton talked about Republican states, having the highest crime rates. Let's take a listen per the Daily Caller. I want people to be safe. That's not the Republicans' argument, because, of course, if you look at real crime statistics, which they're not interested in examining, the states with the highest crime levels
