A federal judge has blocked President Donald Trump's ability to enforce his executive order that limits birthright citizenship.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegeseth says America is fast-tracking drone production to grow our unmanned warfare capabilities.
And President Trump is headed down to central Texas today to survey the damage that devastated so many communities there with flash floods.

It's Friday, July 11th, and this is the Daily Signal's Top News in 10.
A federal judge has blocked President Donald Trump's ability to enforce his executive order that limits birthright citizenship.
The judge is Joseph Laplante of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire.
LaPante made use of an exception in order to overcome the Supreme Court's ruling last month
that allows the Trump administration to move ahead with limiting birthright citizenship.
Laplante said,
his decision applies nationwide to babies who would have been subject to Trump's executive order.
So let's just recap this whole case for a second. When Trump first took office, he signed an
executive order aimed at preventing the babies born in the U.S. to parents of illegal aliens
from automatically becoming U.S. citizens. The 14th Amendment declares that all persons
born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of
the United States and the state wherein they reside. Trump's executive order focuses on that phrase
subject to the jurisdiction thereof. The president holds that those born to parents who are not
in the U.S. legally are not subject to U.S. jurisdiction and are therefore not legal citizens. Of course,
lawsuits were filed when Trump signed that executive order and the case rose all the way to the
Supreme Court. Sort of. The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court to specifically
consider the issue of nationwide injunctions in this case? In other words, can a court that is not
the Supreme Court give a ruling that applies to every state across the country? In June, the Supreme
Court ruled in favor of the Trump administration. The justices ruled six to three that universal
injunctions likely exceed the equitable authority that Congress has given to federal courts.
Now, Judge Laplante is testing the limits of the Supreme Court's ruling against universal
injunctions. The judge has paused his order for seven days to allow time for an appeal,
which will no doubt be filed. All that to say, you can expect to hear a lot more about this case
in the coming days and weeks. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth made a big announcement on Thursday.
Hegsses says the U.S. is unleashing military drone dominance. Hegsaith has issued a new order
that will fast-track drone production in the interest of outpacing Russia and China,
in the area of unmanned warfare.

So while our adversaries have produced millions
of cheap drones, before us, we were mired in bureaucratic red tape.
Not anymore.
In June, President Trump issued an executive order
unleashing American drone dominance
to bolster our drone industry and arm our war fighters,
because that's what we're all about.
So today I'm rescinding restrictive policies
that stifle production, and this will unleash American manufacturing
and the ingenuity of our war fighters
by doing three key things.
First, we're gonna bolster the US drone manufacturing base
by producing thousands of American-made products,
prioritizing by American.
We'll arm combat units with a variety of low-cost American
crafted drones, leveraging our world-leading engineers and AI experts. And third, we're going to
train as we expect to fight. According to Fox News, Hegsa says he expects the U.S. to establish
domain dominance in the area of unmanned aircraft systems by the end of 2027. Finally, President Trump
and First Lady Melania Trump will travel to central Texas today to survey the damage that was caused by
the flash floods there last week. The president is expected to meet with first responders and
families who have been affected by these deadly floods. Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Texas Governor
Greg Abbott are both expected to join Trump on this trip. At least 120 people have been
confirmed to have been killed by these floods, including 36 children. There are at least 160 people
who are still missing. Camp Mystic, the Christian Girls Camp was one of the hardest hit areas.
at least 27 campers and staff from the camp are among those who have been confirmed to have been killed by these floods.
One of the camp counselors at Camp Mystic was a young lady, 18 years old, named Chloe Madeline Childress.
She was from Houston, Texas.
She started attending Camp Mystic when she was in the third grade and attended all the way until 12th grade.
And then after graduating high school became a counselor there.
Her funeral is taking place tomorrow on Saturday.
And in her obituary, she is described as a lover of music.
She taught herself how to play the guitar.
She was also a varsity cross country runner and the founder of a club called Love Our Senior Citizens.
In the fall, Chloe had planned to attend the University of Texas at Austin to pursue a career as a doctor.
And of course, we keep the children's family and all of those families affected by the flash floods in Texas in our prayers.
