Russia is warning the U.S. that Ukraine's use of American long-range missiles represents a new phase of the war.
I'm Virginia Allen, and this is top news in 10 for Monday, November 18th.
President Joe Biden has given Ukraine permission to use U.S. made long-range missiles to strike targets inside Russia.
The decision marks a new round of tension in the war, according to the Kremlin.
retired lieutenant colonel Robert McGuinness joined Fox News to explain exactly how this decision by the U.S.
will change the war between Russia and Ukraine.
It's probably going to enrage Putin, which of course is problematic.
Keep in mind the intelligence community, according to New York Times, recently said that Ukraine is losing the war.
Now, we know that Zelensky, as you just reported, has come to the United States weeks ago with a victory plan.
And allegedly when he met with President Biden, he made it very clear that using the tackams and other long-range missiles, such as what the French and the UK just released, will be helpful.
This move from the U.S. comes after it was confirmed that North Korea had sent about 10,000 troops to Russia to aid in its war against Ukraine.
Donald Trump's son, Don Jr., posted on acts that the action looks like a move to start World War III before Trump takes over.
The retired lieutenant colonel said that long-range missiles won't make a major difference in the war, but they certainly will upset Russia.
Attacums are not going to make a major difference, quite frankly.
What it will do is put Mr. Trump, as he assumes the presidency in a much worse situation because the Russians, like I said, will have been enraged.
And so you have a series of things that have happened, Arthel.
Mr. Biden, in fact, thought that the war in Ukraine was going to bolster our industrial base.
It didn't. And he also was hoping that it would degrade the Russian military.
Unfortunately, what Vladimir Putin has done is upgrade his industrial base to produce more munitions.
And he is just increasing his selective service to bring more people into the ranks to include, of course, the North Koreans.
So you have the makings of a much broader war.
So we need to be incredibly careful here about allowing Zelensky's so-called victory plan to go forward in a way that could just rob us all of our future freedoms.
Trump has tapped Pete Hegsef as his nomination to head the Department of Defense.
So Trump will likely be looking to Hegset for guidance about how to move forward on this issue when Trump takes office.
Trump is expected to announce his picks for more big.
cabinet positions this week, we do anticipate to learn who will head the Department of Education
sometime in the coming days. Over the weekend, Trump announced that he has tapped Chris Wright
to serve as Secretary of Energy. Wright is the CEO of a fracking and oil-field company called Liberty
Energy. Trump spoke highly of Wright in the announcement, writing, Wright has worked in nuclear,
solar, geothermal, and oil and gas. Drill Baby Drill was, of course, one of Trump's favorite lines
during his campaign and now expected to be one of Wright's mandates.
Trump says that Wright will be a key leader driving innovation, cutting red tape, and ushering in
a new golden age of American prosperity and global peace.
Wright has denied claims that we face a climate crisis. Speaking at the National Conservatism
Conference back in 2021, Wright discounted some of the common claims raised by climate alarmists. Take a listen.
hear crazy stuff today, check it out, dig a little deeper. Hurricanes are not growing. That's in the
IPCC report. Tornadoes are actually on the decline, floods, droughts, all of these things you hear
ceaselessly, they just simply aren't so. It isn't even controversial that they're not so.
Wright will also serve on Trump's new Council of National Energy. Trump also announced on Sunday that
William Owen Sharf will serve as his assistant and White House staff secretary. Sharf is a
former federal prosecutor and has worked for Trump as one of his lawyers. On Sunday, Trump also announced
that Brendan Carr is his pick to serve as chairman of the Federal Communications Commission.
Carr currently serves as a senior Republican on the Federal Communications Commission. The Federal
Communications Commission regulates communications like TV and radio across all U.S. states and
territories. Trump campaigned on closing the border. And early this morning, the president-elect
said it was true that he plans to declare an emergency over the crisis at the southern border
and use military assets to deport illegal aliens. Director of the Border Security and Immigration
Center at the Heritage Foundation, Laura Reese, told the Daily Signal that the president can declare
a national emergency based on millions of unknown, unvetted aliens, let in, including
an increased number of national security threats. Trump's newly named Borderzar Tom Holm.
Homan told Fox News recently that criminals will be deported first, though other illegal aliens might
also be deported.
President Trump has made it clear.
We will prioritize public safety threats and national security threats first.
If you're in the country illegally, you shouldn't feel comfortable.
Absolutely not.
I won't feel comfortable if I'm in the country illegally.
You shouldn't be comfortable either because when you enter this country illegally, you have
committed a crime.
You are a criminal and you're not off the table.
According to immigration and customs enforcement, often referred to as ICE, there are over 660,000 illegal immigrants in the United States today that have pending criminal charges or that have already been convicted of a crime.
Trump previously declared national emergencies at the U.S.-Mexico border in February of 2019 and then again in January of 2021.
Trump used the 2019 emergency declaration to counter the fentanyl crisis and construct the border wall.
and the 2021 order extended that 2019 order for another year.
It remains unclear which military assets specifically Trump plans to use at the southern border,
but the National Guard has been used at the border for years.
Now let's hit our newsflash for the day.
Up first, the Department of Government Efficiency, or Doge,
is the new agency that Viveg Ramoswamy and Elon Musk will be running in the Trump administration.
Their primary objective is to shrink the government and cut wasteful government agencies.
Ramoswami joined Fox News and explained that their work will begin with executive actions from the president.
So I think part of this is exposing for the public the extent of that rot and waste,
but then to take steps first through executive action and then laying the groundwork for broader chains through legislation as well to rein in that deficit, to rein in that budget.
Romo Swami went on to explain that after those initial executive orders, it's going to be up to Congress to cut funding to these federal agencies that the Department of Government Efficiency has determined to be wasteful and unnecessary.
Spirit Airlines has filed for bankruptcy.
Earlier today, the budget airline filed for bankruptcy protection.
The filing comes after a failed merger between Spirit Airlines and JetBlue.
USA Today reports that Spirit Airlines lists its estimated assets and liabilities in the range of $1 billion to $10 billion each.
The airline is expected to soon be delisted from the New York Stock Exchange.
The company says that those Spirit Airlines flights that are booked for the Thanksgiving holiday likely will not be affected,
but it might be a good idea to check the status of your flight just in case.
Your government is out of control.
It's doing things it has no business doing.
It spends way too much money.
It gets involved in way too many wars.
It not only tells you what you can and can't say, it actively censors you.
And the things your government should do, it can't, or worse, won't, do it all.
It can't keep your streets clean of crime and filth.
It can't keep your neighborhoods safe enough for kids to play outside.
It can't even prevent your country from being invaded by millions of illegal immigrants.
Why is that?
Because your leaders no longer represent you.
They represent themselves.
