And I'm Clea Gray, former member of 7M Films and Shekinah Church. And we're the host of the new podcast, Forgive Me for I Have Followed. Together, we'll be diving even deeper into the unbelievable stories behind 7M Films and Shekinah Church. Listen to Forgive Me for I Have Followed on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Gianna Pradenti. And I'm Jemay Jackson-Gadsden. We're the hosts of Let's Talk Offline from LinkedIn News and iHeart Podcasts. There's a lot to figure out when you're just
Starting point is 00:00:39 starting your career. That's where we come in. Think of us as your work besties you can turn to for advice. And if we don't know the answer, we bring in people who do, like negotiation expert Maury Tahiripour. If you start thinking about negotiations as just a conversation, then I think it sort of eases us a little bit. Listen to Let's Talk Offline on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Keri Champion, and this is season four of Naked Sports.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Up first, I explore the making of a rivalry. Kaitlyn Clark versus Angel Reese. Every great player needs a foil. I know I'll go down in history. People are talking about women's basketball just because of one single game. Clark and Reese have changed the way we consume women's sports. Listen to the making of a rivalry. Kaitlyn Clark versus Angel Reese on the iHeart on the iheart radio app apple podcast or wherever you
Starting point is 00:01:25 get your podcast presented by elf beauty founding partner of iheart women's sports hello the internet and welcome to this episode of three trends the post-it note brought to you by three trend is that is that clear yeah not really m yeah yeah Yeah. Yeah. Let's go with that. What is it? Minnesota Mining and... Isn't that what it stands for? I have no idea. Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company.
Starting point is 00:01:52 Yep. There you go. Yeah. I haven't read the whole article yet, but they're in the news for not great stuff. I'm Jack. That's Miles. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:01 Yeah. How you doing, Miles? Oh, I'm great. Just reminiscing a little bit we'll get to why just thinking of one of my favorite competitive eaters yeah it's like a flood of flood of memories came back to me like i think i remember kobayashi's hot dog eating technique more than i remember like michael jordan's jump shot like there's something just so memorable about that and also memorable because that's how
Starting point is 00:02:26 i've eaten hot dogs ever since every time every time and whenever there's like a question about lunch and you're like we get hot dogs and i'm like no you're just gonna yeah but you gotta you gotta soak the butt in the water you like just everywhere like almost like what reverse walrus fangs coming out yeah yeah yeah yeah retractable walrus fangs yeah exactly uh kobayashi using the retractable walrus fangs method technique yeah o'brien is not aware that this is not a competition though and he is eating with such intensity to start with that one yeah yeah i mean yeah kobayashi the great competitive eater who would break his hot dogs in half and then reverse walrus fangs them up into his mouth um has announced that he's retiring
Starting point is 00:03:14 yeah he is he's what this dude won the nathan's you know coney island hot dog eating contest like six times and like you know him and joey chestnut had like you know this back and forth uh with their eating this dude was even on i remember this fox special that's why i was feeling you know a little nostalgic man versus beast yeah that only fox tv at the time could give us where he went up against a fucking grizzly bear yeah and who could eat like 70 hot dogs the bear just ate it very quickly. Kobayashi tried. But the thing that is really interesting is the reason that he is bowing out or retiring from competitive eating is he's citing health concerns. Wait, really?
Starting point is 00:03:57 That's shocking to me. I had no idea that like that. The first question that occurs to you when you see someone doing what he does for a living is like, well, that's got to be fucking terrible for your health. Can you, yeah, wait, what's, is eating 40 hot dogs at once bad? Like, in one go? Yeah. What does your body do with all those nitrates? Let's see, I just want to see how many he's eaten.
Starting point is 00:04:22 Just blow them out your ass? Like a steam engine he let's see he ate 69 fucking glizzy nice um dude he's got so many records and then there i've heard i don't know the details but i've heard that like joey chestnut came in and was given like an unfair advantage because they were like, well, we need an American version. But Kobayashi definitely put the whole thing on the map. I didn't know about competitive eating before Kobayashi.
Starting point is 00:04:54 You know what? I blame 9-11 because his debut was in the summer of 2001. Joey Chestnut? No, no, no. Kobayashi. Kobayashi, yeah, yeah, yeah. That was when he ate 50 in 12 minutes wow
Starting point is 00:05:06 and that and then again 9-11 happened and it kind of obscured things yeah that's you know i'm not blaming 9-11 completely but i blame it all on 9-11 but it certainly didn't help um yeah we were just watching the clip we should link off to the clip of him going up against the grizzly bear yeah some of the commentary is incredible like they're like and the bear doesn't know he's in a competition so oh it's yeah but they think there's a there's a look of fear in kobayashi's eyes yeah maybe because there's a fucking bear opposite him trying to eat a bunch of fucking meat tubes right there look at using a technique with no hands uh it's like the bear's not using it okay he's a bear don't have hands
Starting point is 00:05:53 are we talking about technique yeah just some of his records though uh bunless hot dogs 110 bunless hot dogs in 10 minutes at the new york state. Rice balls like onigiri, he ate 150 of them, 20 pounds worth in 30 minutes. He ate 13 grilled cheeses in one minute at South By. He had 337 buffalo wings in 30 minutes. 41 lobster rolls in 10 minutes. 57 cow brains in 15 minutes. That was a Fox thing.
Starting point is 00:06:28 93 hamburgers in eight minutes 159 tacos in 10 minutes 62 slices of pizza 159 tacos in 10 minutes yeah how's that possible what is it i i mean if you think about like a taqueria taco right yeah yeah it's not like uh you know we're not talking full-blown like hard shells uh that's crazy you can put those away uh chicken saute the skewers are almost 12 pounds in fucking 10 this guy a true legend um one cheese steak in 24 seconds that's one cheese steak in 24 seconds seconds is fucking obscene but anyway he's got health he's got health concerns and we don't know why we can't we don't begin to speculate as to why it is yeah he said basically i quote i want to live a healthy and long life so i've decided to quit competitive eating contests um yeah we get it we get it salute salute i have that with liquid i can i can drink i can out chug
Starting point is 00:07:27 anyone really it's kind of crazy really yeah i i can drink liquid incredibly fast i think it's like from now you got now being a sweaty person my whole life i just like naturally needed to replace the liquid when you were drinking were you like slamming drinks like that too like are you showing off i could yeah i have in the past it wasn't like my general go-to but i could really put them away well now i'm like now i'm kind of feeling the the spirit of competition now i want to see what you got o'brien wait what are you what are we saying like a 16.9 fluid ounce water bottle like you just go yeah like we're talking that style yeah yeah oh i gotta see this now go get a go get a cup of water real quick i mean not right now but it's uh yeah and i have to be in the right frame of mind uh right yeah how fast could you drink like a bottled diet coke
Starting point is 00:08:18 bottled diet coke pretty pretty fat diet coke's a little bit like a bottled uh mountain dew i could take down in seconds for really like a 20 ounce bottle 20 i mean now you're upping it why you keep upping it man well what's the bottle i mean isn't that what i mean the bottles aren't 12 ounces you know if you buy a plastic bottle yeah i was thinking 16 but you're right it's 20 ounce yeah yeah i could take a 20 ounce of mountain dew down in seconds for sure. Oh man. We got it. Okay. So if you guys come to the upcoming live shows,
Starting point is 00:08:48 hopefully that we'll get our shit together for that. The whole thing. Chuck. Just bring, bring loose Mountain Dews up to the stage. I just have to catch them and put them down in like once. Yeah. That'll be good for my health and overall mental wellbeing.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Yeah. Jack had to stop a competitive Mountain Dew drinking because he wanted to live a healthy life and be with his family well-being. Yeah, Jack had to stop competitive Mountain Dew drinking, because he wanted to live a healthy life and be with his family. Alright, 3M, there's a new article from ProPublica and The New Yorker that looks at 3M basically asked one of their scientists to look at
Starting point is 00:09:17 human blood to see if there were any chemicals in there. They were like, huh, weird question. they found them and then they pulled uh you know something similar to what the oil industry did in the 80s where they were like doing the research asking the questions before anyone else knew to and found troubling things and then we're just like shut the fuck up shut, shut the fuck up. Oh no. So 3m, the company behind scotch tape,
Starting point is 00:09:46 post-it notes, your kitchen sponges, a lot of various like manmade, uh, substances that we have in our household. Uh, yeah, well,
Starting point is 00:09:55 I'll dig in a little bit more and probably do a whole story on it. One of our main episodes, but it's 3m is trending because of this right now. So, um, you, wow. Oh, wow. one of our main episodes but it's 3m is trending because of this right now so um wow oh wow and that these chemicals are often found in the bodies of 3m factory workers yeah not great not great files not great uh that kind of makes romey and michelle look real fucking bad now you invented post-it notes, really? Well, congratulations. You're putting Forever Chemicals into the workers' brains. Thanks a lot, assholes. Let's take a quick break, and we'll be right back.
Starting point is 00:10:38 I'm Jess Casavetto, executive producer of the hit Netflix documentary series, Dancing for the Devil, the 7M TikTok cult. And I'm Clea Gray, former member of 7M Films and Shekinah Church. And we're the host of the new podcast, Forgive Me For I Have Followed. Together, we'll be diving even deeper into the unbelievable stories behind 7M Films and LA-based Shekinah Church, an alleged cult that has impacted members for over two decades. Jessica and I will delve into the hidden truths between high control groups and interview dancers, church members, and others whose lives and careers have been impacted, just like mine.
Starting point is 00:11:12 Through powerful, in-depth interviews with former members and new, chilling firsthand accounts, the series will illuminate untold and extremely necessary perspectives. Forgive Me For I Have Followed will be more than an exploration. It's a vital revelation aimed at ensuring these types of abuses never happen again. Listen to Forgive Me For I Have Followed on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I've been thinking about you. I want you back in my life.
Starting point is 00:11:42 It's too late for that. I have a proposal for you. Come up here and in my life. It's too late for that. I have a proposal for you. Come up here and document my project. All you need to do is record everything like you always do. One session. 24 hours. EPM 110. 120.
Starting point is 00:11:58 She's terrified. Should we wake her up? Absolutely not. What was that? You didn't figure it out? I think I need to hear you say it. That was live audio of a woman's nightmare. This machine is approved and everything?
Starting point is 00:12:14 You're allowed to be doing this? We passed the review board a year ago. We're not hurting people. There's nothing dangerous about what you're doing. They're just dreams. There's nothing dangerous about what you're doing. They're just dreams. Dream Sequence is a new horror thriller from Blumhouse Television, iHeartRadio, and Realm.
Starting point is 00:12:36 Listen to Dream Sequence on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi everyone, it's me, Katie Couric. If you follow me on social media, you know I love to cook, or at least try. Especially alongside some of my favorite chefs and foodies like Benny Blanco, Jake Cohen, Lighty Hoyt, Alison Roman, and of course, Ina Garten and Martha Stewart. So I started a free newsletter called Good Taste that comes out every Thursday, and it's serving up recipes that will make your mouth water. And it's serving up recipes that will make your mouth water. Think a candied bacon Bloody Mary, tacos with cabbage slaw, curry cauliflower with almonds and mint, and cherry slab pie with vanilla ice cream to top it all off. I mean, yum. I'm getting hungry.
Starting point is 00:13:16 But if you're not sold yet, we also have kitchen tips like a foolproof way to grill the perfect burger and must-have products like the best cast iron skillet to feel like a chef in your own kitchen. All you need to do is sign up at katiecouric.com slash good taste. That's K-A-T-I-E-C-O-U-R-I-C.com slash good taste. I promise your taste buds will be happy you did. And we're back. We're back. And Rudy is having some money problems, as mentioned.
Starting point is 00:13:55 So bad. What has he sold? I mean, so many commemorative 9-11 everything. Now he is trying to sell coffee, $30 bags of coffee uh hot off the heels of being served indictment papers at his own birthday party um he claims that rudy coffee is rich chocolatey and gentle on your stomach so yeah he's giving it the giuliani no violent diarrhea guarantee it's wild you know what's wild because just think about this Jack do you know
Starting point is 00:14:30 how much he's like what the mountain of debt he's looking at it really looks like oh yeah it's like 148 million dollars that's too much money so he just needs liquid cash like he's not even trying to touch that
Starting point is 00:14:46 bro he needs liquid cyanide you need to get the fuck you need to run from that shit just like the desperation in his voice in this quote-unquote commercial for rudy's fucking coffee beans is so fucking oh here here just just hear from the desperate man himself. You all know I stand by the truth. And if I put my name on something, I truly believe in it. Dude, this energy is wild. You know it. And it's Mike Nushi, man. Rudy, does somebody have a gun on you from off camera?
Starting point is 00:15:16 I'm incredibly proud of my own brand of organic specialty coffee, Rudy Coffee. Believe me when I say it's the best coffee you'll ever try it's smooth rich chocolatey and gentle he said chocolatey chocolatey chocolatey chocolatey chocolatey chocolatey okay like faculty chocolatey i even recommend drinking it black it comes in in three. It's so good. This is such fucking filler because you're just selling. Okay. Anyway, the detail that sticks out to me, though, is that they're organic.
Starting point is 00:15:54 Yeah. Which feels a little bit woke to me. Take that to the bank. Yeah. I don't know, Rudy. Now I'm kind of off it. $30 for a bag. It's shot in such a weird. Well, I don't think it's actually shot I'm kind of off it. $30 for a bag. It's shot in such a weird...
Starting point is 00:16:06 Well, I don't think it's actually shot here. I think it's actually a backdrop CGI version of a nice New York apartment. Even the hero shots, the product shots, are like this weird 3D render. It's all bad.
Starting point is 00:16:21 It feels like he's not even using a photo of a real apartment he's just yeah yeah it's very strange yeah it feels like the like kim and kanye when they did the tour of their house and there's like nothing it's just like all weird geometric shapes with nothing on the it's my favorite color taupe yes it's all taupe all taupe all the time yeah but anyway he's like and remember when you're buying this you're supporting the cause of truth uh-huh uh-huh i know buddy i know just like i said man just you know just leave just leave no one wants to hear from you again
Starting point is 00:17:00 um there's a huge news story uh rumors have been swirling about this for weeks but the chief prosecutor of the international criminal court finally announced on monday that he would be seeking arrest warrants for three hamas leaders as well as netanyahu and his defense minister alleging that they are responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity. So this is different than the ICJ. The ICC differs in that it tries individuals as opposed to settling disputes between states. Yeah. And yeah, really great reactions from everyone all around,
Starting point is 00:17:36 whether it's Netanyahu saying that this guy is like a Nazi, this court is like a bunch of Nazis, or the prosecutor is an anti-semite to joe biden being like they're not even doing genocide you're like joe joe joe first of all that isn't even what they said in the charge they said crimes against humanity and second of all but yeah it's outrageous what's happening in gaza is not genocide and like yeah these are not the charges these are not the charges but yeah it says the specifically though it says that israel quote bears criminal responsibility for war crimes ranging from intentionally directing attacks against a civilian population to using starvation of civilians as a
Starting point is 00:18:21 method of a war crime um so yeah and then this is also getting news because it's like amal clooney was one of the human rights lawyers that was like helping being covered in the hollywood reporter also yeah which is interesting too because amal clooney was kind of getting dragged on social media because people were like where amal clooney's been so silent right like where is amal clooney who's been working on stuff like this like in her career and like you're trying to act like oh like hollywood got to her meanwhile she was doing the work to get these the warrant like it is wild how much people put into social media like activism and they're like amal
Starting point is 00:19:03 clooney hasn't posted anything yeah's like amal clooney is a human rights lawyer who's like like really like on the front lines here in terms of this criminal case yes she worked on these charges but what has she posted that's the question um you're posting about the thing y'all are okay sure sure sure so next day a pre-trial panel of three judges will have to decide whether or not the warrants should be issued which takes around two months on average um it should be also noted that the united states and israel are both not members of the icc uh weird it's interesting yeah because then we'd be like you know have to be held to account by it right so forget that i mean the closest we got i think was what they is clinton signing it but never actually ratified
Starting point is 00:19:51 it but never sent it to congress and then uh bush unsigned that shit real quick because he was like i think i'm about to do some more crimes so uh yeah we're gonna gonna move off that but also and if you and then that that bill came out too where it's like if you threaten any of us we will fucking invade the hague yeah don't just take that shit think about it because we're innocent because that's how innocent we are that's what innocent people do um yeah yeah this is uh this is a very yeah this is uncharted territory it was really also interesting to see too that like how the chief prosecutor here was like kind of being discouraged to not really go after like senior leaders uh like in like you know israeli officials and he said he he was saying he was told by one senior quote senior leader that the icc was quote built for africa and for thugs
Starting point is 00:20:45 like putin not the west and its allies yeah um and when you look at like the cases that have actually you know like come out of this court it's disproportionately uh africans um so yeah interesting they're like god don't use this tool that we use to punish Africa to bring a count to the West. God, that's unimaginable. So, yeah, we will see now where this goes. But, I mean, as we saw earlier, there were a few bullying letters from Republican senators who were like, we'll fucking go after your whole family. Right. If you try and pull some shit like this. Yeah. Again, really great look for the United States just to be a party to all of this.
Starting point is 00:21:31 And again, Joe Biden, really, you're doing really. Killing it, bro. Killing it, man. Yeah. You can. You're doing no wrong by my piping. It's crazy. What are we talking about here?
Starting point is 00:21:44 Come on. Come on, man. What is that on a PDF? Damn, talking about here? Come on. Come on, man. What is that? On a PDF? God damn, my face hurts. Alright. That's going to do it for this Tuesday, May 21st. We are back tomorrow with the whole last episode of the show. Until then, be kind to each other. Be kind to yourselves.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Get the vaccine. Don't do nothing about white supremacy. And we will talk to y'all tomorrow. Bye. Bye. nothing about white supremacy and we will talk to y'all tomorrow bye bye i'm jess casaveto executive producer of the hit netflix documentary series dancing for the devil the 7m tiktok cult and i'm cleo gray former member of 7m films and shekinah church and we're the host of the new podcast, Forgive Me For I Have Followed.
