We're back with season two of the Amber and Lacey, Lacey and Amber show on Will Ferrell's Big Money Players Network.
Starting point is 00:01:52 This season, we make new friends, deep dive into my steamy DMs, answer your listener questions, and more. The more is punch each other. Listen to the Amber and Lacey, Lacey and Amber show on Will Ferrell's big money players network on the iheart radio app apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts just listen okay or lacy gets it do it hello the internet and welcome to this episode of all along the washed hour by jimmy trendrix trendrix uh as courtesy of juju hey man fuck you all right you don't get to call us washed in the trending show title man what a great song i honestly thought that was the only song that played in vietnam that unfortunate song yeah like honestly there was a time when i really because it was repeated so often like as a music bed in any nom scene that it completely fucked up my idea
Starting point is 00:02:53 of what music was uh and i was like there was more than two songs huh and uh give me shelter also i like that associate that uh anyways uh thank you for the very clever trending show title you jerk we are not washed we are hip we're hip yep we're about to dust off our uh atari turbo graphics 16 play some fucking bonk y'all thank you tell me i'm not on the knife's edge of technology right now bonk uh shoot uh let's talk about right ah she won't say shit and then you say shoot shoot uh what let's tell the people what's trending shall we you're miles i'm jack that's correct all correct so far all correct so far and uh echo park is trending because the LAPD came through and started arresting and brutalizing the unhoused. A bunch of unhoused people. Yeah, that were in the park.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Yeah. And it was a huge thing in the city. This is how it works. The city has this neoliberal idea of, well, we want to help these people. well, we want to help these people. So they'll announce things like, we're going to be doing a sweep to help the last few unhoused residents find a place to relocate to,
Starting point is 00:04:11 which is code for, we're about to bust up this encampment, hit people, fucking draw guns on people, whether they're journalists, activists, people just standing in solidarity with these unhoused people or the people living in the encampment themselves. It was just more of the same watching police brutalize people that are standing with, I guess, the humane sentiment that exists, which is, what are you doing?
Starting point is 00:04:38 Why is this a policy to sweep people away when you're not actually a when the amount of uh the the cost to have over 400 police officers do this to shut down sunset boulevard hours before it's basically it's a was a setup and you could tell the lapd came there to just fuck with all the people that were there trying to support the unhoused people uh jamie loftus was there as like along with many other people and yeah it's just a fucking shame and it's just but again i don't think this is anything new um especially not in la but just around and how like as a policy we are treating unhoused people um and then there was a whole other thing when they're saying we want to support them um for people that were accepted housing from the city, like from the city services.
Starting point is 00:05:27 They were put in like hotels and like with so many fucking strings attached. It might as well have been a trap net. It was like, you got to be out in two weeks. We're not we're going to take certain amenities out because we want to shame you because you don't have a certain income. It was all it's all bad. And, you know know just another stain on the city yeah the the well you have to go look for a job in order to get help from like that sort of shit is it's not yeah like figure out first you need to give people stable housing
Starting point is 00:05:58 to first create a bit of momentum so it's not just chaos that they can say they have an address that you can send something to that you have the the space to be able to you know shelter or stay out of the elements and have the wherewithal to begin to repair your life and to have all these like two week minimum you better find it's like that's it's just it misses the point and it just shows how like backwards the policies are and how any person you you know, trying to do good just has the hardest fucking time, especially with something like this. The unhoused population is so significant in this city. And we all were dealing with their nimby fucking citizens who don't want to actually allow for temporary or just housing to be built to support these people. allow for temporary or just housing to be built to support these people um and then a police department that's all too willing to just clock in some overtime while you know hurting physically
Starting point is 00:06:51 hurting people and one event that notoriously uh is la has the olympics coming in 2028 um past olympic cities have just like bulldozed entire encampments to build like soccer stadiums and shit um yeah it's yeah this is definitely gonna like come to a head for sure and it is and i think they're not i think the city is misreading how people actually believe this needs to be solved yeah because it's not like yeah there are assholes who want to put fucking rocks and things under the underpasses to prevent people from setting up any kind of shelter or whatever but there are many people who understand that this is the absolute least effective way to solve a crisis that we have the money for. But rather, this is just another thing, which is let's just put money into policing. And to the LA, the Olympics thing, there's going to need to be, I think the estimates
Starting point is 00:07:57 are like a 30% increase in policing to accommodate the Olympics. Okay. So tell me why any of this is good. Yeah. I think there's going to be a... They're facing a major problem that they don't realize that they have yet
Starting point is 00:08:15 because they think that they can just get through it with the same old like, you know, neoliberal just kind of, well, it's good for business and type shit and i think that la is moving in a very different direction just generally as a and they are they are just you know just taking journalists away there's one who's like i'm with spectrum news and they're like yeah all right what are you on the side of people in need right it's just it's just a fucking shame
Starting point is 00:08:44 and you know again police provoking and attacking people like they were going to escalate the shit the whole time this is what they did over the summer there there was like it was just so transparent and yeah not according to the report they paid for no according to the report they paid for they crushed it right uh both people's skulls with projectiles and also uh crushed crushed it in the colloquial term and there's i'm not washed a few activists are saying that based on the amount of officers that were there 400 lapd officers for at least eight hours the average pay for lapd in 2020 around 135 000 a year or 65 an hour including overtime so doing a little back of
Starting point is 00:09:28 the napkin math that sweep and the brutalization of just human beings trying to stand together 208 896 dollars potential god i don't know where you could have used 208 000 and like to for the people that were literally just sitting in front of Mitchell Farrell's fucking city council office, they weren't fucking there to burn the fucking shit down. They were there to show, this is how many people know what the fuck you're doing. And we're just sitting down. It wasn't, but again,
Starting point is 00:09:56 the police have to come in to escalate and justify their own brutality. So there it is. Yeah. All right, let's talk about Suicide Squad. New trailer out i i was like vaguely aware there was a new suicide squad movie coming i had no idea it is not a sequel it seems like they're just like uh all right we're gonna hit reset on that other one with like jared leto as the Joker. This one has no Will Smith,
Starting point is 00:10:25 uh, has no Jared Leto, but Margot Robbie is back. Uh, and they got John Cena. I got Idris Elba, uh, and the trailer just dropped and it looks dope. It's really fucking cool.
Starting point is 00:10:40 It was weird because yeah, my whole thing was suicide squad is like, I remember watching or not watching it because in the beginning was like it's so bad and then i think on a flight or something i watched it and i was like all right whatever and then when i heard i'm like why is this trailer trending it's because it has the feel of guardians of the galaxy like it is almost that they're like let's reskin guardians of the galaxy with dc and ip uh intellectual property and it turns out that's almost that's quite literally what they did i
Starting point is 00:11:11 didn't realize james gunn is directing it except is this r is this going to be rated r because the they yeah uh because guardians wasn't rated r right no but i mean i watched the red band trailer so yeah yeah the red band trailer for this it looks like they're really using the studio space of the r rating which yeah uh turns out the older i get the more that i'm just like well it's rated r all right that that gets it the past my first uh because and then your second question is there a shark that just chews on a bunch of people right like actually And you're like, actually, yeah, in this one there is. Yeah, that is actually my second question.
Starting point is 00:11:49 I don't even know who that character was, but I like him. Yeah, the shark character. Sharkman. Sharkman. Looks great. Pete Davidson shows up in an orange prison jumpsuit and orange Crocs. orange prison jumpsuit and orange Crocs. And it's not necessarily clear to me,
Starting point is 00:12:11 at least as a non suicide squad fan who he's supposed to be. Uh, the shark, however, is played by like the, honestly, if you had told me this was going to happen when I was five years old, I would have shit myself and not just because i was not potty trained yet the shark is played by sylvester stallone are you my favorite actor when i was for the first
Starting point is 00:12:33 five years of my life wow plus shark my favorite shark it's rocky and jaws together you get king shark the character from the new suicide squad with like some jason vorhees style kills thrown in like he ripped the motherfucker in half in half thank you james from the waist from your upper torso right lower torso in half no lengthwise straight receipt rippage like goodbye it's fucking sylvester still i thought i recognized him like hey don't don't i got any bites oh my god oh my god okay oh boy all right all right what else what else no i'm done i'm done that's it that's it for uh me on this show all right see you in a week dominion voting is trending because they're suing fox news for 1.6 billion dollars uh which i thought we knew
Starting point is 00:13:36 this but i think the the suit actually hit and yeah it's looking always threatening they're like hey you know we got a we got a 1.6 billion bang on us right now and uh you know who is it fucking newsmax or oan one of them like they already found out you know what i mean uh ruby's about to find out uh what's her face uh sydney powell who we didn't cover this during the week but her her defense about all the cracking shit she was doing like her lawyers are like no reasonable person would actually take anything that sydney powell said and take that for actually being true information oh wow the old uh my client is yeah lame as shit so uh yeah i mean i hope i hope uh they get that one point. Let's double it. How about a $3.2 billion bite in the ass from King Shark? I don't know how they defend themselves from this,
Starting point is 00:14:31 because it's, like, everything Domingan's saying is true. They've, like, completely made up facts. They're going to have to claim that nobody watches their channel with the intent of like getting news, even though they have news in the title. I don't know. It's going to be a tough one. It's going to be a tough one, but I hope, uh, that again, best of luck to dominion in
Starting point is 00:14:58 their pursuit of money. Uh, and Ronda Rousey is trending. Uh, why is Ronda Rouseousey because we stay in a black queen that's why we found out the internet found out today that ronda rousey is black uh and it all happened when like tmz tried to talk to her and her mom they were like having lunch somewhere and the tmz guy was like asking her like just asking her some stuff and clearly rousey wasn't feeling it and then the this guy was asking like hey like what's the last movie you guys saw and then her mom said we just watched before his time
Starting point is 00:15:35 and like a movie about her great-grandfather dr alfred waddell who was one of the first black physicians in north america and everyone's like what so obviously twitter has come with all kinds of memes you know hilarious uh racial draft memes and all kinds of shit like that but yeah it's uh yeah look at ronda rousey's learning all kinds of things today today we found out ronda rousey is black wow i don't know who any of my great-grandparents are um for real yeah i don't know a single one like of them or you just never asked you mean like i i couldn't tell you their name i couldn't look tell you like pick them out of a picture i've heard like a story about one of them right it's yeah because it's wild too like especially if you if your parents grandparents pass away early in their lives they don't have like a lot i was lucky enough my my great
Starting point is 00:16:31 grandmother on my dad's side she was alive called her granny babes and you know i got to hear all kinds of shit from her but on my mom's side i only know like very vague things like occupations and shit like that right yeah yeah a. Yeah. A couple of names, but like, it's hard for me to be like, who were they? Yeah. That's shout out to Ronda Rousey for having such distinguished,
Starting point is 00:16:54 uh, ancestors too. I know. Right. And then she's over here. I mean, I still think about that time she got knocked out though. Uh,
Starting point is 00:17:02 in that one fight, that was kind of epic when everyone was like, yo, Rousey's a machine and then she was unstoppable and then so stoppable for like the next handful of fights that holly holm fight i remember i watched that uh interesting fact about that holly holm versus ronda rousey fight i watched that at andrew t's house oh did you and i met iffy there for the first time there oh wow yeah was that wow so that was a while ago november 14th 2015 as i look at this uh article as you look at your uh poster of iffy on the wall yeah just or it's that meme of uh like the x-men cartoon where it's wolverine looking at like that picture in his bed and then like the other angles like the reverse on what the picture is and it's it's Wolverine looking at like that picture in his bed. And then like the other angles,
Starting point is 00:17:45 like the reverse on what the picture is. And it's, it's the date and me like looking at it. If you like, yeah. Ah, shit. All right.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Well, those are the things that are trending. Uh, we hope that you guys have a pleasant weekend. Yeah. Uh, and week miles. Good luck next week.

Going undercover. tell you that much but i can't tell you anymore because well yeah because the cia told me not to yeah um yeah i'm going undercover with my kids with my kids jack that's kind of reckless no no honestly i never get smoked when i got the kids with me you remember i walked in that hell's hell's angels meetings with my kids and i said hey we're just looking for a bathroom but then you realize i had all these gopros on i had all the footage i needed hey man we're just looking for a bathroom looking for a bathroom man oh cool man mongols here hell's angels that seems cool all right what's y'all y'all like bikes all right see you later just the worst undercover informant just terrified
