Hello, Internet, and welcome to this afternoon or early evening, depending on where you are,
edition of ATLT Trends.
That's from UnsolicitedDuckPix on Discord.
Love a picture of a nice duck.
Quack, quack, indeed.
My name is Miles, and I'm here with Becca Ramos.
Ramos, what's up?
Pramosa Famosa, what's new with you nothing much it's another
beautiful day here in new york city hey i gotta say it was 40 48 degrees when i went out this
morning to walk the dog that's chilly oh yeah that's why i got this fleece hat on that i'm
sweating through right now uh but anyway that's neither here nor there let's tell these people what is trending today october nope fuck it november 3rd yep it's hard i i can't believe
it's fucking november already i can't either i went to a dios muertos uh celebration yesterday
and i was like wow it is really november like we are oh the year is flying by. I can't believe.
We're there.
I'm going to a wedding next week.
I'm like,
this wedding I've been thinking about
for a year now.
I'm like,
the year is flying by.
I thought you were like,
the mere idea of a November wedding.
I'm like,
I know about those November weddings.
No, it's just like,
I've been.
But I get that event you've had
on your calendar.
Yes.
Like all my friends are like,
that wedding hasn't happened yet.
And I'm like,
no.
It's like,
it's coming up right now.
You excited?
You excited for it?
I am.
I'm very excited.
It's my best friend from growing up.
We've known each other for 15 plus years and I'm the best man.
Okay.
So yeah.
So that's a good.
Highly.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
Wow.
Look at you.
Okay.
Well, much, much, much love and bliss to the Julie Weds.
What's trending?
Let's take it to Brooklyn.
Shall we, Becca, since you're there?
Specifically the Brooklyn Nets, sadly.
Kyrie Irving.
Look, he posted this link to this anti-Semitic documentary last week.
There's been all this backlash.
He's not really said anything that remotely resembles an apology.
And then he sent his parents to go speak
to the anti-defamation league and then from that meeting they're like he's gonna donate
uh him and the nets will donate five hundred thousand dollars each to quote causes and
organizations that work to eradicate hate and intolerance in our communities adam silver the
commissioner also came out and said that was not an apology yeah it's like nowhere did you say i'm sorry and
i should not be saying hate speech yeah it's just sort of like what when we even asked by the press
he's like they're like are you gonna say other anti-semitic stuff he's like i know who i am and
i can't be anti-semitic and you're like oh my god stop speaking in fucking code and just i mean this
is the thing we don't know what he actually
thinks or believes or if he's you know how people get so wrong they're like fuck bro i gotta fucking
stay locked into this position because i'm not gonna back down even if i burn up upon re-entry
to earth um or he's just you know a anti-semite you never know these days you gotta fucking
parse through it all.
So we'll see what happens there.
Let's move on to another big yikes.
Riri.
Rihanna.
Rihanna Fenty.
Okay.
Wait, what's her full legal name?
Robin?
It's Robin Rihanna?
I think Robin.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Robin, we have to talk.
I'm looking at a headline that says Johnny Depp,
he's going to appear in the Savage Fenty fashion show and be the first man to have his own spotlight segment
in the lingerie show.
I have so many questions because A,
did Bad Bunny not count when he performed last year?
B, how can you go from having Bad Bunny
to having a predator like Johnny Depp? C, how can you go from having bad bunny to having a predator like johnny depp c how can
you as a victim of domestic violence choose out of your way to put johnny depp on a platform d
he's white e i guess we really do gotta take rihanna down when we eat the rich
wow she got billionaire brain like that first i was like man you're really doing the halftime show
okay yeah but then you're like and johnny depp which doesn't make any sense i've not seen like
i know like that it like those the fashion shows are an event but like the idea that if it's like
savage fenty and it's like you know the boudoir wear lingerie the fuck does he got to do with that
it's like i guess he's a model for fucking dior but like the savage line is problematic in itself
we've talked about that too like yeah i don't understand okay so yeah i think like people on
twitter one person quote rihanna really saw a man that hasn't used shampoo in months and put him in a
fashion show.
Literally.
He looks so bad.
Like,
it's like Johnny Depp had his heyday.
We're not saying Johnny Depp wasn't attractive at some point,
but is it today?
His alcoholic,
like skin that is dried up,
like look,
and just like in light of all you hear about the Amber and with Amber heard,
you're like,
what,
what? But I guess I think that and with Amber heard, you're like, what? What?
But I guess I think that's the thing is right is like because clearly the industry didn't turn their back on him.
No.
You know what I mean?
And that's really all.
I think that's really all.
Maybe that was the calculus Rihanna's making is like, well, he like technically won the case in theory.
Right.
But it's like you, know like yeah and also well anyway so uh confusion abounds right
now with anyone looking at rihanna's team and thinking this is not a good this doesn't seem
this seems like anti rihanna if any if i may use and i am straight up dystermia uh about it so
we'll see.
I'm not sure if there's going to be much clarification or it's just going to be like a deal with it type thing.
Let's move on to another billionaire or I guess.
So Jeff Bezos is trending first up because him and Jay-Z might buy the Washington commanders.
Think more cynical people looking at the situation is like clearly because of Dannyder's just like vile just existence of the person they're like maybe you know black ownership might be a good
way to go nfl with this and then it's like bezos and jay-z and it's like is bezos just being like
hey i got this brother with me yeah um so can we get that yeah yeah i'm right here with this black
guy yeah yeah yeah yeah oh me yeah i'm gonna pay, yeah, I'm going to pay some of it too.
But he's also here.
So can we get that team?
But then it's also like more black icons in bed with billionaires.
Yikes.
Not that we didn't already know that.
When you're a billionaire, when you're a billionaire, you're.
And first of all, look, I've always said this.
Jay-Z always said he was a capitalist.
You know, we knew that in his rhymes.
He was.
It just only gets disappointing when he's like, I like malcolm x like you are not that then another part of this story is
there are allegations from his housekeepers jeff bezos in his like multiple mansions apparently
that quote housekeepers were forced to regularly climb out a laundry room window running along an
exterior path and through a mechanical room
to access a bathroom used by groundskeepers
because they weren't allowed to enter the main home
when the Bezos family was there,
except to clean.
What is this?
Slate times?
That is crazy.
Yeah.
It's giving sharecropping.
Like, huh?
Yeah.
I mean, it seems consistent like
you work amazon like you can't go to the bathroom yeah i don't know what the fuck is going on with
all that it's just really uh so that's going on there too wow you get you get two bezos for the
price of one okay let's take a quick break and we'll be right back.
Hey, I'm Gianna Pradente.
And I'm Jemay Jackson-Gadsden.
We're the hosts of Let's Talk Offline, a new podcast from LinkedIn News and iHeart Podcasts.
When you're just starting out in your career, you have a lot of questions. Like, how do I speak up when I'm feeling overwhelmed?
Or can I negotiate a higher
salary if this is my first real job? Girl, yes. Each week, we answer your unfiltered work questions.
Think of us as your work besties you can turn to for advice. And if we don't know the answer,
we bring in experts who do. Like resume specialist Morgan Santer. The only difference between the
person who doesn't get the job and the person who gets the job is usually who applies.
Yeah, I think a lot about that quote.
What is it like you miss 100% of the shots you never take?
Yeah, rejection is scary, but it's better than you rejecting yourself.
Together, we'll share what it really takes to thrive in the early years of your career.
Without sacrificing your sanity or sleep.

I'm Keri Champion, and this is Season 4 of Naked Sports,
where we live at the intersection of sports and culture.
Up first, I explore the making of a rivalry,
Kaitlyn Clark versus Angel Reese.
I know I'll go down in history.
People are talking about women's basketball
just because of one single game.
Every great player needs a foil.
I ain't really near them.
Why is that?
I just come here to play basketball every single day,
and that's what I focus on.
From college to the pros,
Clark and Reese have changed the way
we consume women's sports.
Angel Reese is a joy to watch.
She is unapologetically black.
I love her.
What exactly ignited this fire?
Why has it been so good for the game?
And can the fanfare surrounding these two supernovas be sustained?
This game is only going to get better because the talent is getting better.
This new season will cover all things sports and culture.

two assassination attempts separated by two months. These events were mirrored nearly 50 years ago
when President Gerald Ford faced two
attempts on his life in less than three weeks. President Gerald R. Ford came stunningly close
to being the victim of an assassin today. And these are the only two times we know of that a
woman has tried to assassinate a U.S. president. One was the protege of infamous cult leader
Charles Manson. I always felt like Lynette was kind of his right-hand woman.
The other, a middle-aged housewife working undercover for the FBI
in a violent revolutionary underground.
Identified by police as Sarah Jean Moore.
The story of one strange and violent summer.

I'm back.
We're back.
We back.
She back.
And so is Mariah Carey.
I didn't know this some guy some dude was suing mariah carey
for 20 million dollars for copyright infringement over the song all i want for christmas is you
which already is charting on the top 200 apparently of course from halloween because
why not i mean did you see her tiktok when she's like i'm back yeah but it was fun
because she was like um what that witch uh bewitched um she was like pretending to be
like the witch from bewitched and she was like on a little like a peloton bike and like biking
and then it like is that what wasn't some isn't that on a bike too that's the wizard of oz right oh maybe it was wizard of
oz yeah and then it was like and then it was all i want i know and she was like like hitting all
those whistle tones yeah you're like yes go we're all collectively on my phone i'm like we've lost
our minds everybody embrace it just fucking hit a whistle
tone on a stationary bike mariah well anyway this guy was suing he's like just so you know
i wrote all i want for christmas is you under my moniker vince vance and the valiance in 1989
and he's basically he was suing them for saying that they had made a derivative version of his song
and basically profiting off of that so he's like y'all owe me 20 million and he also said he was
claiming that the songwriters knew about his 1989 song because it got a lot of airplay in 1993
so it's just kind of mostly the the biggest thing is that it's like the title's the same.
Yeah.
And that's about it.
Because, you know, there are currently apparently 177 copyrighted songs that are called All I Want for Christmas Is You.
Yeah, I was going to say, I'm sure there's many others.
Yeah.
So he had to drop that lawsuit.
So Mariah, keep on going.
Keep being the Queen of Christmas.
How many times
do you think you can listen
to that song
I could probably listen to it
in a row
in a row
in a row
on a loop
if you had to set your shit
to loop one song
on your audio player
how long could you go
with that song on the loop
before you're like
I could probably go
like an hour
you could do an hour
I could probably do an hour
and then what do you think
would happen
it just
starts becoming meaningless or it would become annoying i think it would or you're worried it
wouldn't have any magic anymore maybe it wouldn't have magic anymore yeah because i do listen to
like the same five songs so yeah you mean in general yeah well in general a and then b
for christmas i feel like i have like one playlist i go to
yeah yeah just listen to those songs so yeah i don't know if i'm i've completely just lost
touch with everything but i think i could go a solid two hours straight yeah and just do stuff
yeah do it but then i don't know Maybe I have to go live on Instagram and just have people witness me slowly
spiral into chaos. My partner has a tendency
to play songs on loop where
I do too. He will like
one song and then we'll just
and then I'll probably hear like at the sixth
time I'll be like, can we play
a new song? It's like the
same song has been playing. That's what
happened last weekend when I wouldn't stop playing
Poland by Lil Yachty.
And Her Majesty was like, shut the fuck up.
I'm like, why?
Because I took the walk to Poland.
I just think the fucking hook is so stupid.
He's talking about taking lean to Poland.
That's it.
He took the walk to Poland.
Took the walk hards, lean, the cough syrup to Poland. And that's it he took the walk to poland took the walk hards lean the cough syrup
to poland and that's your hook and it's blowing up i feel like it's in so many like videos now
um okay well anyway shouts to mariah let's move on to another m name milwaukee uh a milwaukee
wisconsin election official fired after she admitted she she admitted to fraudulently fraudulently requesting mail-in ballots,
like by requesting like military mail-in ballots.
And apparently she was like,
she's like one of these election deniers and was just trying to be like,
see this,
how easy it is.
You give a fake name and say you're in the military and then they give you a ballot and the mayor was like yo you're there you're fired the fuck are you talking about
um but i mean it just i think goes to show that there are still so i mean there's still so many
people who are just bought into that lie of like fraudulent voting information and they're all the
ones dabbling in it now yeah they're like, I did that to prove you could do it.
And?
Just prove that you did it.
And you prove that you can, because you got fired.
So...
What are you talking about? Just whatever.
So that's what they're
dealing with in Milwaukee. And something
we're dealing with, so we just went to Brooklyn.
Let's go to LA, specifically.
LAPD. Boo, CBS. Apparently, a captain at the LAPD we're dealing with so we just went to brooklyn let's go to la uh specifically lapd boo cbs um
apparently a captain at the lapd warned les moonves and his office at cbs at the time when
he was there at the head of cbs that allegations were being made against him of sexual assault
and like in their talking they're like hey we got your back like apparently they would do
their best to keep it under wraps as long as they could this is like revealed in this investigation um this allowed him to dump
like a bunch of his cbs stock before the news came out which is what they call insider trading yeah
so him and cbs are now paying a 30 million dollar fine for that and also like my god look at the
look at what proximity to power does like the lapd is literally
out here having your back when you're and allowing insider trading being a predator too i mean they
probably even see that part they're probably hey man thanks so much can i get uh do you think i
could get tickets for me and my wife to go see a taping of Big Bang Theory. Literally. I would love to sit in the front row.
They're like, that shit's free.
Yeah, yeah.
Just fucking gross.
And again, shows you how different the legal system, quote unquote, operates for people.
Like this guy literally got a heads up call to say, hey, hey, hey, hey, this shit could be bad.
I don't know what's going on, but I'm just letting you know.
So, yeah, the state of things at the moment.
Anyway, so that's what's trending on this day, on this diet Friday, I call it Thursday.
Enjoy the rest of your diet Friday.
We will see you tomorrow on real Friday with a fantastic new episode.
You're going to really, really love it.
Until next time, take care of yourselves. Take're going to really, really love it. Until next time,

bivalent. You know what I mean? Don't be caught out here lacking. Please stay safe. Take care
