All you need to do is record everything like you always do. What was that? That was live audio of a woman's nightmare. Can Kay trust her sister? Or is history repeating itself?
Starting point is 00:01:20 There's nothing dangerous about what you're doing. They're just dreams. Dream Sequence is a new horror thriller from Blumhouse Television, iHeartRadio, and Realm. There's nothing dangerous about what you're doing. They're just dreams. I Heart Radio. Or wherever you get your podcasts. New episodes every Thursday. Hello, the internet, and welcome to this episode of Don't I Got Zites? I mean, I should have given that to you. No, who am I? I'm not Sylvester Stallone. Oh, you're Miles. I'm Jack.
Starting point is 00:02:19 Yeah, yeah. This is what's trending, and one thing that is trending is, in fact, Mr. Don't I Got Rites himself, Sylvester Stallone. He what? He's what was he? He was being spotted around Mar-a-Lago first. He was being spotted around Mar-a-Lago. He was he was photographed being like all chummy with Trump during his presidency.
Starting point is 00:02:39 The latest Rambo was basically the highest budget right wing movie. Like it was basically had the politics of like a Kirk camera movie. Is this the one where like he was beating people up in a border town and shit? Yeah, exactly. Right. Exactly. Rambo. Rambo was protecting the border and the villains were from south of the border.
Starting point is 00:03:02 So people had their suspicions but uh sly all those trump posters with either him as rocky or rambo yeah so hmm but uh he's made it official uh and joined mar-a-lago uh and is proud of it he's like out here taking pictures with the guests um cool yeah probably time to alone is a good analog for the country i think someone who's just so like morbidly in denial with his own mortality uh and inability to accept progress or the progression of time in general. Uh, I think this, this I'm color me, uh, not shocked at all. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:48 The, the fact that, you know, Rocky beloved movie, but it is a rewriting of history where a white champion defeats Ali in his prime. Um, yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:03 And like, that was a thing that was actively being hoped for by white sports fans. Yeah. You know? You should watch a great white hype again, the Peter Berg thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:16 That aged well. I don't think it's by Peter Berg. I just think he plays the great white hope, the titular great white hope. Oh, he didn't direct it? I don't think so. I think that was pre his directing career. But that is, yeah, that is a movie.
Starting point is 00:04:31 Also, but apparently, yeah, so the latest Rambo really bad. Rambo 2, we should have known as early as Rambo 2. Although Rambo 2 came after rocky but uh rambo 2 was pretty toxic in that he goes back and gets revenge on uh the vietnamese uh people for uh getting in the way of all those bombs that america dropped on their villages i don't know what what he was so mad about, but he, uh, yeah, goes back and just like starts killing people all over Vietnam and basically wins back the Vietnam war for America. Um, you think those January sixers thought,
Starting point is 00:05:15 uh, the storming of the Capitol was like their Rambo too. Probably. We're like, clearly that was an L clearly. That was an L. Yeah. But maybe we can go in there and our collective
Starting point is 00:05:26 denial about what happened can turn into some other thing where we can change the course of things yeah um in other Stallone news uh that is I think just breaking today uh he's not gonna be back for Creed 3 oh what which will be directed by michael b jordan and they people asked they were like why why isn't stallone uh part of the cast and he was like he made it clear he didn't want to be oh so so it's all it's all happening for i want to hear the tape where he made it clear he didn't want to be well apparently like when you hear about like the notes he had for uh for creed like everything is just like you you can just see it as his career progressed that all his movies became more and more about him being like a super heroic adonis like uh right that's I think Rocky I mean I
Starting point is 00:06:25 think I'm gonna go back and watch Rocky Balboa because it was such a sad sad state of affairs right yeah Rocky 5 too hey don't I got any rights like it's from and I'll never forget it because I'm like it's so stupid and I don't even
Starting point is 00:06:42 know what even your concept is of rights but it sounds like you know he's in decline in his career he's gonna write this one just to kind of be like hey i still got it ted nugent is trending speaking of problematic famous old white man yeah what's he got it up you know whatging it up. You know what I mean? Nuge. He did some Facebook Live shit where he's just saying a bunch of nonsense COVID stuff. But the thing that people are laughing at, he's like, you know, where were the lockdowns for COVID 1 through 18? Oh, really? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:18 Word. So, well, hey, he did his own research. I think that's the new, do your own research is the new thing that has officially been made. Just inextricably. Yeah, accepted fact is running counter to your ego? Right. Well, then do your own research. Do your own research, man.
Starting point is 00:07:36 I did my own research. And he found out about COVID-1 through 18. Shout out to that man. Also, one of the most well-armed private and private people in the country so always good uh always good but sleep well knowing that ted nugent has more guns than uh many armies um glock is trending i'm assuming because of the minnesota shooting yeah dante wright's killing uh yeah because right now the whole defense is like i didn't know i was i picked up a gun it was a taser yeah um and a lot of people are like um a fully loaded Glock weighs what?
Starting point is 00:08:26 16 ounces to a pound 34. Damn near over two pounds. Right. Over two pounds. A taser weighs eight ounces. Right. Eight ounces, a half a pound. Right. So how in the fuck are you going to think that you are carrying that it's the same thing?
Starting point is 00:08:42 And that's why it's like doesn't even matter because fuck it I mean like this is what police do and then they can hide it it's the same shit that um I think Oscar Grant they use the same just ridiculous uh logic of like I thought it was a taser
Starting point is 00:08:59 hmm the video is pretty disturbing to watch the whole thing is I mean we talk more about it on tomorrow's episode but right so this thing's very frustrating yeah it's just it's just not ending yeah um you know tune in to hear exasperated people lament that this country is fucking moving at a glacial pace yeah in good news brenda song is trending uh that is macaulay caulkin's wife and herself they're married okay just let's not let's not say their relationship is more than it is because you know how litigious macaulay is
Starting point is 00:09:39 i once gave somebody bunny ears and a picture and he sued me oh yeah remember he said he remember at first he said send me your middle and index severed middle and index fingers from the bunny ears in a box to me and we can consider dropping the suit yeah it was a good thing i remember you were about to do and i was like yo he's pump faking he's not in it that's some weird shit and luckily we called him on it um yeah you know the surgeon was ready ready for him yeah so yeah they got a little baby yeah they got a baby uh shout out to them shout out to yeah collie you know i feel just goodwill for him you know as somebody who it's it's very much like a brand that i was into when i was a kid and then you know his he his he
Starting point is 00:10:26 took his career in other directions so he wasn't like always in our face and now people are just like ah macaulay yeah oh i mean also like he had to just kind of duck out just for his own good you know like the world just became because what you guys are the same age pretty much yeah what was that like being the same age as macaulay cogan yeah like some little white boy being the world's most famous white boy at the time and you're like i was also born in 1980 yeah he uh that's why i don't fuck with lebron he's getting in my way yeah that's true um i'm like oh you want to meet a cool 36 year old check out this podcast yeah i mean i think history will tell uh you know who who had the better career in the end i was
Starting point is 00:11:14 always playing a long game uh and you know take yeah whose podcast is doing better now yeah i was i was intensely jealous of uh the thing that i definitely should not have been jealous of him for was uh how tight he was with michael jackson because you know i was a huge michael jackson fan around the bad and dangerous period nobody knew macaulay though you've done i mean it's interesting have you seen kid 90 that no soleil moon fry documentary no i heard about that no it's i mean it it is what it is you seen Kid 90? No. Soleil Moon Frye documentary? No, I heard about that. No, it's, I mean, it is what it is. I mean, I think everybody will take something different away from what they see it. But, you know, looking, watching that and then thinking about Macaulay Culkin, I'm like,
Starting point is 00:11:55 yeah, he did, if he stuck around more, because already he was talking about all this shit he went through just from not being able to be a child. It's like, actually seems like on paper the worst thing that can happen to somebody is having to work as a child like in entertainment still still looking for some good anecdotes where people didn't struggle with that um that like yeah like his time off i'm sure was very much needed to like try and like rebuild and refocus yourself and that's the lame moon fry one is just wild because like for kids of the 90s like you know all the people that she was kicking it with
Starting point is 00:12:29 and it's just surreal to be like brian austin green leonardo dicaprio and sarah gilbert and jenny lewis are all at the same party as jenny lewis yeah oh yeah because she was like a teen idol right before she was an indian musician they go to like Antelope Valley and do shrooms and shit. What the fuck is that? But it's like a really, it's cool because she had a camcorder and then you see like Charlie Sheen. There's all kinds of weird shit going on, but interesting documentary nonetheless. And Brenda Song, I didn't realize, was she like part of that Disney Club pipeline?
Starting point is 00:13:03 Yeah. Well, I'm not a club because she was in i had to remind you again sweet life sweet life of zach and cody yes yeah exactly sweet life of zach and cody you remember finally yeah yeah but yeah i mean that's a given i just didn't know if she was part of the mickey mouse club oh oh yeah yeah and her name was it's your favorite city and your favorite brand of tea uh except the first letter is t instead of what yeah london tipton oh oh yeah yeah london lundy uh but yeah and she was also on social Network. So, shout out to her. I did not realize.
Starting point is 00:13:47 I did not realize. I feel like that's a lot of what's happening because she's number one on Google Trends right now. And I feel like a lot of people are like, oh, Macaulay Culkin has a kid. Oh, he's with Brenda Song. No, it's Brenda Song. No, they're like, no, Brenda Song. Brenda got a baby.
Starting point is 00:14:01 Yeah, Brenda got a baby. But it's like, I think there's a lot converging around her is people realizing that they're together that she has a baby right who she is maybe in some cases not me obviously uh because you know secret life was was the jam uh you know when I would come home from school in the late 90s. This shit didn't start until 2000. What, like five or some shit? 2000. I don't remember, man.
Starting point is 00:14:35 You know, it's all a blur. You know what I mean? 2005 to 2008. You know, when 9-11 happened and I was in elementary elementary school it was really you know just scrambled my memories a little bit uh oh yeah that's what i lie all the time i was like i wasn't driving when 9-11 happened no not me i remember doing uh finger paintings about it our kindergarten teacher had us do that right exactly yeah it's messed up it's messed up, man. The NBA, what's trending in the NBA? The Lakers had a huge win over the weekend,
Starting point is 00:15:09 over the Nets, who had two of their three playing, but Schroeder got in Kyrie's head. Agent, chaos agent Schroeder. I'm still not sure why he got ejected, too. I don't know. I mean, they must have been saying some wild shit to each other because they both got ejected too i don't know i mean they must have been saying some wild shit to each other because they both got ejected for just like saying things seemingly calmly yeah yeah there wasn't like
Starting point is 00:15:32 big like lunging or anything that normally precipitates like those double t's and you're like okay well uh oh great and so that just left kevin out there and they're like all right pull the pull the Durantula. We'll just see what happens here. And at the very least, knowing that when it's our bench versus theirs, ours beat the shit out of them. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:55 Shout out Ben McLemore. Unequivocally. Yeah, Ben McLemore. Newest addition. Dude, there was a time where he took one of his first threes and Kevin Durant's brother said short as he took it from the corner yeah because his brother has floor seats and said short when he took the shot and then that set off mclemore's streak of like score like 17 points in 23 minutes or some shit he had a good run um so and you love to see andre drummond just fucking bossing lamarcus Aldridge the fuck up.
Starting point is 00:16:25 I'm like, yeah, it's just. So for people who aren't following the league as much this year, Anthony Davis and LeBron are both out with injuries and they still beat the shit out of the team that they're most likely to face in the finals. Who are missing James Harden, but still had two of their three big, big guys. Yeah. Versus us who That's straight. We don't have any of our toys, our big, fancy toys, shiny toys that we used to beat the shit out of other teams with.
Starting point is 00:16:52 So, yeah, cool. Yeah, it was like the last game in Teen Wolf where he decides to play not as the wolf. It was just scrappy performance by a team that, by all rights, should have lost by dozens. And you know what I love to see, though, too, and this is a credit to Frank Vogel, is that there's just a good chemistry and camaraderie in the team. Like, it's not often you see professional sports teams be this, like, connected in any sport.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Like, where everyone has a sense of duty to duty to each other connection to work for each other, communicate. And so we have a really good culture. Thank fucking thank Frank. Yeah. In the locker room that like through periods like this. Yeah. We're not doing well at all,
Starting point is 00:17:38 but at least there's not like morale isn't getting dangerously fucked up as a result because it's a bunch of people being like, well, I'm just here to play a bit part for these other two superstars yeah like no they're playing like a team so yeah i remember back when he would pick me up from school uh and how could anyone forget at this yeah we would talk about how 9-11 had already happened and uh yeah and he was checking on you to see how you're doing with 9-11 yeah because he knew what happened at such a young age yeah you guys talking about that in school yet all right well if you got a question about it kid let me know i'll show you this tape i got loose change clear it all up uh like frank vogel showed you loose change
Starting point is 00:18:25 he was the video guy he was uh he had he had the editing software to put together some really uh interesting interesting ideas true or false what's your dad call me the video guy right so you trust me when it comes to video i got my eye on things let me show you a video real quick just saying look at tower seven hideki matsuyama was trending for being the first japanese player to win a major in pga golf brought home the masters just fucking did it wire to wire on sunday it was fucking dope love to see a Japanese man win the fucking Masters. Yeah. And just be.
Starting point is 00:19:09 Such an impressive title. Yeah, like, you'll get it. For a golf course that is, like, the most, like, plantation-y of golf courses. For plantation-based golf tournaments, this one takes the clanhood. Yeah. And, yeah, I just love just love he's so japanese like like nerdy golf japanese guy like you're right my uncle who like when he's not playing like he's in his car playing cell phone game like in the middle of the masters you're like all right i got some
Starting point is 00:19:39 time to kill let me just play games in my car my rental car oh is that what he was doing i didn't see that regular ass dude i love it and then like all the little uh pictures of him just walking through the airport with his green jacket not even in a bag just kind of like draping it over his shoulder um we'd love to see it and yeah this and i you know he was due he was due right like yeah i mean he's definitely pretty consistently up there and now you're like yes it all came together so finally kid cuddy is trending did you see the uh weird little flute video no i have not that's pretty good uh he everyone's been saying that was a good because i saw him yeah this is the most i've heard about snl uh after an episode of snl but it's right from the sketches
Starting point is 00:20:26 i've been hearing chatter about sketches i've been hearing chatter about the kutty's performance uh that virgil made like a cobain inspired dress that he wore and all that shit yeah i haven't seen it though yeah yeah definitely worth checking out weird little flute is fun and the boeing yang weekend update thing uh is great check that out boeing yang titanic search but yeah shout out to snl you know so much talent involved in that show uh love to see it coming coming around to its rightful place yeah yeah i think it's just i wonder if it's like a generational thing where you just have more comedians who are like, look,
Starting point is 00:21:06 I know this shit can be way better than it is. Right. Maybe we're just going to have to start fighting with people to get like our shit out. Because it felt like for a while, I'm like, these are funny people who work on this show, but I'm not,
Starting point is 00:21:17 what the fuck is going on? I don't know if that's based off of the leadership or the writer's room or whatever, but it feels now like it's like almost reached critical mass where it's like there's too many funny and talented people working on this for like someone to fuck it up or whatever and it's slowly
Starting point is 00:21:32 it can't be the writers room because that's headed up by Jost and no way Jost is fucking anything oh damn and he's with Asian icon Scarlett Johansson yes doggy hell yeah somebody who could love yeah oh wow i love them together can't wait for their biracial children all right those are some of the things that are trending right now uh we are back tomorrow with a whole ass episode of the show until then be kind to each other. Be kind to yourselves.
Starting point is 00:22:05 Wear a mask. Don't do nothing about white supremacy. And we'll talk to you all tomorrow. Bye. Bye. Fantasy football fans, the NFL season is here and now is the time to do your homework. The best way to do that homework is to listen
