Starting point is 00:00:00 Kay hasn't heard from her sister in seven years. I have a proposal for you. Come up here and document my project. All you need to do is record everything like you always do. What was that? That was live audio of a woman's nightmare. Can Kay trust her sister or is history repeating itself? There's nothing dangerous about what you're doing.

Trust us, it's out of this world. Hi, I am Lacey Lamar. And I'm also Lacey Lamar. Just kidding, I'm Amber Revin.
Starting point is 00:01:44 What? Okay, everybody, we have exciting news to share. We're back with season two of the Amber and Lacey, Lacey and Amber show on Will Ferrell's Big Money Players Network. This season, we make new friends, deep dive into my steamy DMs, answer your listener questions, and more. The more is punch each other. Listen to the Amber and Lacey, Lacey and Amber show on Will Ferrell's Big Money Players Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts,
Starting point is 00:02:08 or wherever you get your podcasts. Just listen, okay? Or Lacey gets it. Do it. Hello, the internet, and welcome to this episode of Chicken Trender Basket with a Zayet Mountain Dew. It's courtesy of Douglas the Freshest. I'm Jack O'Brien. That's Miles Gray. That's sort of an on-point, on-topic, on-trend, aka because McDonald's just announced spicy chicky nuggies. I am very excited. Wow, we got spy chicks. That that'll be interesting i like a nugget
Starting point is 00:02:48 with flavor it is kind of the one thing i can still eat from the daytime menu at mcdonald's whenever i go like i don't eat burgers as much like or i'll eat the regular ass cheeseburger because it's been pre-digested for you you know yeah but the chicken nuggies i love them i love them can't quit it can't quit that goo can't quit it cannot um all right that's not one of the subjects we're talking about uh it's just something that somebody just told us uh right before we recorded i will not say his name uh yeah but let's just call him dj well that's too obvious okay let's call him... DJ Spaniel. Well, that's too obvious. Okay. Let's call him D. Goodman. Okay. No, actually...
Starting point is 00:03:27 No, that's too obvious. Daniel G. My favorite Simpsons joke. All right. Messi is trending. Why? Like Lionel Messi. Not like people are getting M-E-S-S-Y Messi.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Okay. Lionel Messi, the GOAT. I don't... If you... No matter where you fall in the Cristiano Ronaldo versus Messi debate, look, Messi is God right now. But he has not won the Champions League that many times. He is basically saying he's ready to leave Barcelona,
Starting point is 00:03:57 the club he has been at since he was a child, which is pretty shocking news in the world of world football because he is Barcelona. like, he is Barcelona. Yes, he is Barcelona. He is, you know, it's mes que un club. Mes que un club. More than a club, I think, in Catalan is what they say. And I could be butchering the Catalan, but you know what?
Starting point is 00:04:17 That's just how it is on this Ignorant American podcast. That's right. But with him, he's been there since, like, I believe he was 10 years old or 11 years old. He has never played for any other team and just like with the management of the club he is just sick of it and so it's kind of like fc barcelona is finding themselves in a very difficult position where like they've invested their entire identity into one player and they failed to adequately plan for the
Starting point is 00:04:41 future and now he wants to go and they have like they're like well we can still attract players but like it's definitely it's not what you know it's not the the barcelona of the the aughts and the later years is and historically every year is football uh similar to basketball in that is that popular is that a sport that people pay attention is that because i don't really watch it is that similar to basketball in that people are getting better and better to the point that the two best players right now are probably the best players ever yeah i mean you know they're gen they're generational talents like before cristiano ronaldo there was ronaldo brazilian right who you saw me scream at in a hotel lobby in Los Angeles. Small man.
Starting point is 00:05:27 I couldn't believe I walked by him. Yeah. The phenomenon. You know, and then Zidane was probably before that. And then you get into Maradona and Pele. Like, those are like, so those, you get those like flashes of those kinds of people who enter that discussion. I don't think, you know, who who's next up we still have not seen but yeah they are it's going to be very interesting like for the people to match their output it's going
Starting point is 00:05:52 to be some next level shit to see no matter what no matter what era we're in but are they just like the the training is better like now every nba player has a dietician has a chef that lives with them like see and this is where the debate between Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi comes in because Cristiano Ronaldo is just, he just gets in the fucking gym. His more like Mamba mentality where he's like, I'm just going to train
Starting point is 00:06:15 harder than everyone else and that's how I'm going to set myself apart. Not that he doesn't have innate talent. Lionel Messi is small. He doesn't really like, he can't really like he's not he can't really bulk up his game is built on it is completely different than ronaldo's like smokes a pack and a half a cigarette every game oh yeah every half uh you know what i mean but like that's the so that's the difference i think that's why some people like i like messi he's more
Starting point is 00:06:38 of a pure player he's not like he doesn't have to become this like specimen he's just like has the the gifted left foot from god right um yeah but is he is he also like so he's a lot of fun to watch right like he does things with the ball that like oh jack i'm gonna send you a messy compilation after this that you're gonna be going ole after with all the nutmegs you're gonna see because yeah there are moments where you'll just see this man controls the ball end to end. Yeah, yeah. And what's great about him, or I think that I really enjoy about his play style,
Starting point is 00:07:11 is he's so one-minded about scoring that a lot of times he'll get fouled. And while he could go down and get a free kick, he's just like, well, I didn't fall, so I'm going to keep going. Right. And that makes for some great highlights, where you're like like this man cannot even
Starting point is 00:07:25 be chopped down and there's like great clips of when they would play real madrid in the classico and cristiano ronaldo's yelling at his teammates like fucking hack him down they're like don't let him dribble like foul him you fucking idiots like don't let this guy play like a movie villain yeah yeah somebody shoot him uh anyways get him uh messy that'll be interesting to see uh a lot of movement shot shout out to alia is trending uh it was her birthday recently um like within the past 12 months at some point i just remember seeing it trending on Twitter at some point. She's born in January. But you got that parent time where you're like, yeah, it was a birthday the other day.
Starting point is 00:08:12 And you're like, the other day, January? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can't believe how late in the year it is. This year has been... I'm going to be the first to say it. 2020, what a year. Whoa. Okay, you're going to stand by that? Strong take. Jack, the year's not over i know um it's so hot but alia is trending not because it's her birthday uh but because her music is
Starting point is 00:08:35 taking one step closer to being available on streaming that is something i noticed recently i was like i want to hear that uh are you that somebody one of the all-time great songs of the 90s and you just can't find it anywhere no i mean unless you go on youtube uh you get some tracks i mean not only that i mean it's also the anniversary of her passing uh so that's the only reason why it's trending today is it really yeah i thought you're making a joke but i realized I realized they are talking about how more of the catalog's coming to stream. That was the first story on Google Trends.
Starting point is 00:09:11 No, it is. It's just so funny. I'm an idiot. I feel like I've told this story before because we've talked about it on the show. I feel like we honor certain 90s music and sports icons constantly. I remember I was with my grandparents in Anaheim.
Starting point is 00:09:29 They were trying to take me and one of my cousins on a trip. But we live in LA, so we're like, why the fuck are we driving an hour to Anaheim? Because they were like, let's go to this timeshare across the street from Disneyland. But y'all don't want to go because you're going to secretly get high in a parking lot and come back and just say you're really hungry. Wait, how old were you? I was like, what was this, 2001 or 17. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:49 That's a little old for a trip of the grandparents to Disney. Yeah. And also, like, my younger cousin, too, was like probably 14 or 13. You were getting him high? Just enough. I guess 14. Hey, man, come on. I'm not on trial here.
Starting point is 00:10:02 Hey, man, I'm not on trial here. I don't know what you're talking about. I got to go. Yeah. No, I didn't. My friends were getting high when we were 12. I mean, Jack, ever since you told me about that recruiting trip you took and the kids made fun of you for being a virgin at fucking 11
Starting point is 00:10:19 or I don't know what you were, I'm like, yo, I'll never have a story like that. That was amazing. I was ashamed. I was like, what's wrong with me? You're like, damn. I'm like, I'll never have a story like that. That was amazing. I was ashamed. I was like, what's wrong with me? You're like, damn. I'm a loser. What have I been doing wrong?
Starting point is 00:10:31 Sean Connery is trending because he's still alive, and he's 90. Wow. He quit acting, right? Yeah. I mean, on some level, right? Yeah. I mean, he quit doing it. acting, right? He's not. On some level, right? Yeah. Oh, right.
Starting point is 00:10:50 I remember the story of his retirement is kind of amazing. He turned down Gandalf, and he turned down, I think, Morpheus, something from The Matrix. I think it was Neo, right? Yeah, Neo. He was going to be Neo. Whoa. That would be fucking awesome. Or no Kung Fu.
Starting point is 00:11:10 And he was so annoyed that those movies were as successful as they were that he was like, all right, I'm going to make a blockbuster. I'm going to take the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and we're going to fucking make some bank. And then that came out and was like an all-time bad movie and he was like that's it fuck it i quit um he's like all right i'm out of here but anyways i mean he i i was gonna say he looks good for 90 but i don't think i've seen him since he retired like 15 years ago what's it what's the man looking like these days i mean fine i guess
Starting point is 00:11:41 just sean connery just kind of always it's like his brow is always that's really the whole sean connery mystique yeah and that's just still you know still chugging along with that but i don't know i don't know what i don't know what he's up to honestly because i think he was was he in the fourth indiana jones uh i think he was no i don't think so because i don't i don't think he's really been in anything. Yeah. So, I mean, I think that's kind of funny. Like how even then he was just like, oh, I'm reading this article.
Starting point is 00:12:17 They said in 2007 he denied that he would be in the fourth film, stating that retirement is just too much damned fun. Hell yeah, dog. Living that life. I am the last one. That's the only one I can do. And you're the man now, dog. You're the man now, dog. Remember that website? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:29 You're the man now, dog was one of the best. One of the great flash sites that annoyed the Everlady being shit out of an adult. We're like, this is a website? And I'm like, yeah, and it just doesn't stop. I'm looking at a picture of him on his 87th birthday, and he's kind of being walked. Okay.
Starting point is 00:12:49 Well, I mean, yeah, 98. Yeah, 87 is real. As they say, 87 is real, as most medical professionals say. Yeah. You really start to show your age when you hit like 86, 87. That's when people, you know. It's a cakewalk till 85. you hit like 86 87 that's when people you know it's a cakewalk till 85 someone someone told me that 40 to 50 is where it all falls apart i'm looking forward to that uh katie porter is
Starting point is 00:13:14 trending oh god because you love to see what she did order congresswoman just so lewis de joy's dumb postmaster general ass had to go testify in front of congress and katie porter you know she has a knack for just absolutely decimating like the greedy fuckers that are sitting in front yeah whether it's like bankers and like asking jamie diamond if he understands like basic finances of someone who makes like, you know, like barely middle class income and he couldn't like just shows she really has this way of underlining how out of touch these people are who are running these bureaucracies or corporations, whatever, whoever the institutions. And so this time I'm just going to play a little bit of the beginning and knowing we've been talking about Louis DeJoy and the fuckery that's been going on at the post office for a while now. about louis de joy and the fuckery that's been going on at the post office for a while now but just this like little opening of how she's just walking this man to his just own idiotic you know come out party is fantastic mr de joy thank you for being with us today what is the cost of a first class postage stamp 55 cents just wanted to check what about to mail a postcard i don't know, ma'am. You don't know the cost to mail a postcard?
Starting point is 00:14:25 I don't. I don't. What if I want to mail a, you said 55 cents for a first-class stamp, but what if it's like one of those greeting cards that's a square envelope? Then what is the postage? I'll submit that I know very little about a postage stamp. I don't. I don't. I don't. I postage? I'll submit that I know
Starting point is 00:14:45 very little about a postage stamp. Okay, so that asshole is the one who's just tearing the postal service down from the inside, and he's up there being smug, and he's like, I'll submit that I know very little about the postage
Starting point is 00:15:02 stamp. I got big shit going on, you know. I gotta tear down the post office. You're not going to need them pretty soon when you're using Bezos stamps to get your food and your electricity. Okay. Yeah, so watch this whole. There's a Kyle Griffin, at KyleGriffin1 on Twitter, has like five and a half minutes of her questioning. And it's just like, it just shows you how like truly the most ghoulish idiotic people are the ones running this shit,
Starting point is 00:15:27 bringing it down. And they know absolutely nothing about the actual postal service. So, uh, just a, just another moment where we attempt to create accountability and we'll just roll the dice and see where it ends up. 35 cents,
Starting point is 00:15:41 by the way, to mail a postcard. I did not know that but you do now I do now in your face Louie oh okay in your face mom
Starting point is 00:15:54 alright guys that is gonna do it for today we'll be back tomorrow with a whole ass episode of the show. Until then, wash your hands, wear a mask, stay inside, don't do nothing about white supremacy, and we'll talk to you all tomorrow. Bye.
