Starting point is 00:02:10 hello the internet and welcome to this episode of chicky trendies uh play on chicky tendies which is what i will always call chicken tenders. That is courtesy of Miguel Saavedra, and I am joined by the super producer herself, super producer Anna Hosnier! It's so sad that you just won't let Miles join you because of this beef you guys have going. Because of the beef. We need to get back to some some of the uh fanfic that was
Starting point is 00:02:46 written about our beef was uh yeah over the past 24 hours am i right uh-huh total fiction totes fic uh-huh yeah yeah totally fiction not true miles and i are uh on great terms uh yeah yeah totally totally someone our guest for tomorrow's episode said I've become a bit of a Kris Jenner in my behavior that I'm just constantly trying to create drama out of nothing to sell you guys as a brand. Did you ever
Starting point is 00:03:17 set people against each other to start a physical fight in school? No. I had a friend who was a shitster and like literally got me in like a fight that like he was almost like selling tickets to like he just wanted to see me fight this kid and uh yeah didn't go that well yeah i wasn't really like a mean girl like sort of like shitster type i mostly kept to myself i'm more of a loner so yeah i was i was mostly having fights within my own head well shout out to ryanators
Starting point is 00:03:51 from dayton ohio um let's talk about the brooks brothers uh the brooks brothers uh that that store uh that i bought all my shirts from when i first uh entered the professional workforce and needed a bunch of button-up shirts that store has filed for bankruptcy um where have you been jack we need you man that's i do wonder like what's happened to them in the ensuing 20 years uh they tried to sell polos for 70 dollars is what happened to them in the ensuing 20 years uh they tried to sell polos for 70 is what happened to them i don't know yeah shout out to brooks brothers i i feel like it was it's just that the culture got sort of appropriated or like they were at their peak when it was cool to be like a wall street right douchebag sort of and now that greed is no longer cool uh or at least like in a mainstream way no longer cool
Starting point is 00:04:55 uh they they're kind of them and j crew apparently uh white people are no longer leading the culture because J.Crew and Brooks Brothers it's definitely like a frat boy preppy sort of scene like yacht club that sort of vibe so I think as soon as people start to be like oh this is like douchey I think it kind of
Starting point is 00:05:20 it fell off like it's not cool anymore to be like the bad Bradley Cooperley cooper from wedding crash yeah like that's not like a fun vibe like people don't want to hang out with you they're like he's kind of like condescending brooks brothers in the morning j crew in the evening dude that's that's my style yeah so when i when i when i see brooks brothers i went to the website before this and the only thing i could think was like each one of these models would tell me how i feel like they'd be like actually i think i think you actually got your emotions wrong there
Starting point is 00:05:55 and then i'd be like he's right because his his shirt is buttoned up look at that hairline although i i would not say that actual patrons of brooks brothers have great hairlines but oh no uh their models certainly do they have like hairlines they paid for yeah yeah yeah that's right um anyways christian cooper is trending who is christian cooper you may ask uh he is the bird watcher who Amy Cooper, no relation, the most famous original Karen of the past couple weeks, I guess, who tried to get him killed by police by saying he was, what did she say? He was like attacking her? Or like threatening her life.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Yeah, threatening her life. Anyways, Christian Cooper has decided not to press charges on Amy Cooper, even though what she did was illegal. Right. And even though we're the shoe on the other foot, she probably would not do the same. But I don't know he he seems like a really a kind human being well he's just like no i think he's just very level-headed and he thinks very
Starting point is 00:07:12 he thinks things out and is very concise in his thoughts like he literally said she's already paid a steep price that's not enough of a deterrent to others bringing her more misery just seems like piling on which is i mean he's not wrong i i guess if if i was in that case oh she'd be a goner yeah but i mean he's a smart man and i trust him i just trust him because you should have your dogs on leash don't put people like don't put your dogs in danger don't make anyone uncomfortable i have many thoughts on dogs right now because my dog is all i have oh anna no i mean like because we're in quarantine so like i don't see my friend it's not like i'm like this is it this is my only saying like i spend a lot of time talking to my animals and
Starting point is 00:08:03 we discuss a lot of things we've talked a lot about animal politics we've talked a lot of time talking to my animals and we discuss a lot of things. We've talked a lot about animal politics. We've talked a lot about Amy Cooper. And here I am. You know who's stock is on the rise? So Brooks Brothers and J. Crew falling. I'm going to tell you. Bird watching.
Starting point is 00:08:19 I might get into bird watching. They're everywhere. And they're beautiful. They're like flowers that are flying around in the sky and I find it very interesting and I was just on a trip
Starting point is 00:08:33 into nature with my boys and my wife and my wife and my wife still funny and there's so many birds. I was like, man, if I really cared about these things, I would know.
Starting point is 00:08:51 I don't know. My brain would be on fire. But I'm just like, there goes a bird. And there goes a bird, ladies. You can hear that. There are bird watchers who hear a call and can tell you based on that call like exactly what bird it is and i think that's all very cool yeah uh i am old
Starting point is 00:09:11 as fuck mary kay letourneau is trending she passed away uh from cancer with her uh ex-husband at her side um her ex-husband being the boy who she started having an affair with when he was 12 years old. Very strange story. Kind of weird that it's trending. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:39 Hmm. So they stayed together? They got married and then recently split up. They had kids. Wow. That is surreal. A dark place to be the child of that relationship.
Starting point is 00:09:58 But shout out to her family. That's obviously very sad. So how did your parents meet? Right. I don't your parents meet? Right. I don't want to talk about it. Yeah. It's just weird when like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:10:11 I could see young people seeing that her name is trending when she passes away and being like getting the wrong message about, about what is worthwhile in our culture. But I don't know that there's anything we can do to stop that. And finally, Anna, TikTok is trending. Yeah. For a couple of reasons. We got the, what's his name?
Starting point is 00:10:38 Not Tom Cotton, the other racist. Tom Cotton? Wait, what? Oh, Miller. Noer no no not not miller uh the guy who's like the he has a real important position whatever what one of trump's lackeys is uh is suggesting that tiktok should be outlawed in the united states because it's a chinese company. Pompeo. George Pompeo. Not George, Mike. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:11:12 We have no idea where we are. What is happening? Miller, Mike, Pompeo. George Pompeo. George Pompeo. Baby yoga. So that's one reason George Pompeo is saying it should be outlawed for security reasons another reason though is that there was a a beef happening uh that you guys
Starting point is 00:11:35 were all texting about on monday night uh i'm curious i i would love to hear your explanation of of what was happening in this uh like how you think i have an explanation so uh i have no idea what was going on but i saw a tweet uh tweeted by chase hudson chase hudson okay so basically there is some weird there's this like house called the hype house where i guess a bunch of um t of TikTokers like work out of. It's like their collective. They go and film stuff there. Some of them live there.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Why am I explaining this? Okay, so Chase Hudson posted the most absurd tweet, which he has since deleted. And I was trying to make sense of it, but he's basically explaining. He's like, well since since all my business is out there i'm gonna share everyone else's business and then he proceeds to tell this tale of all these different tiktokers who i'm i'm assuming tiktokers i have never heard of these names before um are all like cheating on each other but it's there's so much going on of like so-and-so cheated on this person and they also cheat on so and so cheated on this person
Starting point is 00:12:45 and they also cheated on that person and they knew this person was dating this person and then I watched that person cheat on this person and it's like everyone's cheating on each other it almost feels like there's so much cheating it should all just be cancelled out right well we're just a commune at this point
Starting point is 00:13:00 what are we doing here how is it even considered cheating the main um the main thing i guess that i was able to after i tweet about it everyone started explaining it to me because i have no idea what's going on uh and i tried to i really was trying to pretend as if i was totally in on this i'm like yeah totally chase is always playing the victim but i have no idea what's going on but apparently charlie de mello who is dubbed the queen angel of tiktok she has i think the most tiktok followers i don't know um she she's just like the queen of tiktok she's also
Starting point is 00:13:35 like 17 i think but she like makes a lot of the dances all that stuff um i guess she got cheated on by Chase. So she dumped Chase. And Chase was like the king of TikTok. But this, can I just, okay. So someone tweeted me a quick guide. And it's by, who is Gretch? And she wrote, quick guide, Charlie, angel, queen of TikTok, could never and has never done anything wrong. Chase, and then she does vomit emoji.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Garbage, Never deserve Charlie. Worst e-boy on TikTok. No idea what an e-boy is. Josh. Garbage. Messy. Nessa. A girl who's learning.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Hype house. Toxic. We need this person to like synopsize the news for us every day. She's learning. She's learning. And I was like, okay. There's also like 15 other people involved too. So I was like, okay.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Wow. This is a thing that happens now with every social media sort of platform is that all the most popular people like move in together and like create their own reality show is that essentially right and is that like something that spontaneously happens is there like some really sad uh have you seen the other two yes of course the tv show the the ken marino uh manager of like it's that vibe yeah like is there somebody who's like you got to move in together uh to like create drama i'm sure there is i mean i think ever since vine youtube like all those people move in together or they live in the same apartment complex so they can basically work with each other all the time and create content like they're constantly making videos and uh yeah i mean it it's like what was scooter braun he was like the original
Starting point is 00:15:31 young person manager but i guess that's bieber is a little you know but he bieber came out of youtube wasn't he singing on youtube so like that's like yeah it's like um what was that uh the shutterbugs video shutterbugs from uh a human giant aziz oh that's right it was aziz and uh oh man i'm forgetting everyone's name i'm just but it was baby uh baby child actor yeah they're like baby agents and they're called like shutterbugs and they were just like them running around like getting babies and like photo shoots and like commercials it's like
Starting point is 00:16:11 that's definitely something that really happens yeah I think it's very prevalent and I do think all these kids have like agents because they're like have a billion followers on TikTok and they're 17 or 16 and Because they have a billion followers on TikTok. They're 17 or 16.
Starting point is 00:16:34 And of course, I do want to say Charlie did respond and say that Chase was toxic and trying to make everything about himself. And he always plays a victim and he needs to grow up. So, you know, I got to say, I am team Charlie. Oh, of course. I mean, nobody's denying that Chase never deserved Charlielie like that's that was oh of course everybody saw that it's so funny to try and pretend like you're like in on this like cool young like tiktok world like yeah you know i've always said that actually oh god it's my new favorite quarantine hobby is to pretend i know what's going on in like tiktok world it's a good one yeah it's a good one uh all right well anna it's been a pleasure having
