The news coming out of Uvalde keeps being horrifying

but you know we'll go into it a little more on tomorrow's episode but like the official account is changing as it does whenever you know the police are involved because news stories where the police are the main source which is most news stories

you know it's just you're hearing from one person, one notorious liar as they get their story straight. So it started out as somebody tried to stop him as he was going into the school unsuccessfully and then a heroic Border patrol agent like got in there and took him out and then people started like posting videos of just the truly horrifying reality where you know the gunman was inside the school for an hour, and the police were just on the outside with their back to the school building, doing crowd control on the parents of the kids who were trying to get them to go in.

And now they have chosen to revise their bullshit story. He was apparently there on the outside of the school for 12 minutes, shooting at a funeral home across the street then exchanging gunfire with the um with the cops then he walked inside a elementary school unimpeded 10 minutes later and then they just stood on the outside and made sure parents didn't interfere one mom who had kids inside the building and second and third grade uh handcuffed and told she was being arrested for intervening in an active investigation yeah i mean we talk about on tomorrow's episode that this is similar to the subway shooter and the police carefully controlling

the facts that get out and them telling a totally different story than all available evidence which is that the police aren't interested in protecting people um i mean it's not their function nope yeah i can't i can't really i don't have much energy to talk about this after watching that press conference too it's yeah i don't know i mean we're just going to keep finding out more and more and more. Parents are just going to be more and more distraught. It's just so grim. That video of just watching parents begging the police to do something and they just can't do it.

It's so difficult to watch. And then knowing some of those parents' children ultimately met their demise in that school. It's fucked up. Which press conference are you talking about the one that just happened like an hour and a half ago uh i i don't know that i thought what there's just it's just more more and more just come just it's the story gets more bizarre and it, you know, like we just even knowing like just sort of bits and things that are coming on drabs, like, like cops who went in the school to get their own kids out first.

And there's just a, there's just so much, I think what's so, so hard was like the press conferences didn't really provide and just made things look worse. Yeah. And you know, they they they have to they have to account for what is going on here because we did there's nothing none of this makes sense like i mean when

we know it doesn't make sense because the we're all fixated on this idea or not we're all but there's this prevailing myth that like well we just need more cops that's the problem and there was a ton and they waited outside what what is the deal we saw that SWAT team was doing like in the local SWAT team apparently had been doing like training the year before to understand the layouts of schools but where where was that in practice I just yeah so my heart breaks for these parents and the kids who went through, went through shit that no human adult should have to experience. And we're, I don't,

man, it's just so hard to even articulate. Like, what do you, what do we think these, how are these kids going to grow up? I realized how much privilege we have. Cause I was in eighth grade when Columbine happened.

Yeah. You know, cause I only had a few more years of like being in like K through 12, we have because i was in eighth grade when columbine happened yeah you know because i only had a few more years of like being in like k through 12 where things like that were you know the clearly the kids are in the most danger and how i didn't grow up learning how to like run fight or hide right and that i'm you know in a world where like as you know, like, you're smart enough to know things are dangerous. And they're just telling you, yeah, the solution isn't the bad guys won't have guns anymore. It's do you know how to barricade a classroom door? And, yeah, we're really not doing a good job of protecting anybody, especially these children.

Like, not just from the ones that were at this school, but in general. We're not looking at the future and what that means and the kinds of people that we're creating by being in such a terrible environment. Both Democrats and Republicans are the ones who are actually failing to do the thing that it seems like

the majority of the populace, the vast, very strong majority of the population wants, which is like actual gun control. The Senate Republicans blocked a domestic terrorism bill that would have opened debate on gun measures. So, you know, that's business as usual. Well, what do you want us to do? We can't get 60 votes.

Then end the filibuster. Yeah. Anyways, a filmmaker has finished production on a slasher horror movie called I think Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey and the premise is Pooh and Piglet are the main villains going on a rampage

after being abandoned by uh a college bound christopher robin so um what you know it's like what sounds so fucking dumb gritty realistic version of toy story 3 right um where woody and fucking buzz are like yo we gotta fuck andy up what the fuck is he thinking yeah he almost let us die in this trash heap uh that's a pretty bleak movie by the way toy story three yeah a little more nuanced than this where it's like you know the kid thing what if they try to murder christopher robin they're all murderers so uh reese waterfield, who is in post-production on four other films, including Firenado, Demonic Christmas Tree, and this one, said the response to the stills has been absolutely crazy. Because of all the press and stuff, we're just going to start expediting the edit and getting it through post-production as fast as we can. And then he was like, realized that sounded bad and was like, but also making sure it's

still good. It's going to be a high priority. Yeah, yeah, I'm sure because you're working on such fantastic feats of cinema like Firenado and Demonic Christmas Tree. It's probably going to be like, I'll probably hate watch it but I can't think of something

I'm less interested in. Zion's trending, Zion Williamson, has been cleared in his return to play progression without any restrictions, which I think just means he's ready to start playing again, which, it being the beginning of the offseason, any other player, this would not be news. But for me, this just opens my heart again can you imagine it just comes out just

Just watching his high school clips when it was a real joke to watch. When that little boy was guarding him. Yeah, just like his main point guard on that team was like a five, three kids, like floppy hair,

just throwing them alley hoops. Like, what is this? Where did he grow up? That's yeah. I, I've watched those clips and left, but I never really like,

why he, he didn't go through like a basketball factory or, you know, one of those. No, he went to Spartanburg day in Spartanburgburg south carolina wow yeah heck yeah and kevin spacey is trending uh kevin spacey's being charged with four counts of sexual assault in the uk look at him just flees one place and continues to show everybody why he should not be uh engaged with all. But I think he's making a movie or something.

See, people talk, there's no such, if people don't have the same values as everyone else, you can be quote unquote canceled and still find a way to continue your transgressions while also your career. So, yeah, well, very, very gross. So this was, the were alleged allegedly carried out between 2005 and 2013 on men who are now aged 30s and 40s kevin spacey is aged 62 but it's good to see a horrible piece of shit seeing some consequences and uh all right that'll do for the day look it's been exhausting i'm not
