Hello the internet and welcome to this episode of Detlef Schrempf. Like Detlef Schrempf but Like Detlef Schrempf, but with a Schrempf
Starting point is 00:02:27 buried in there. Is there anyone else's name that sounds like Detlef Schrempf? I don't know. I don't know if I know another Detlef. Yeah, Detlef is also a heavy name.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Yeah. Detlef. It's like deadlift. There you go. Yeah. So we got to the bottom of that there we go turns out a lot of people named detliff in germany yeah well who'd have thought huh i'm i'm jack you're miles i almost got that backwards there this is some things that are trending
Starting point is 00:02:58 uh rio grande why is that trending brian kemp. Brian Kemp did a, like a boat, river boat border tour just to check on the border of Texas as the governor of Georgia. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Uh, just to assess things down there. Yeah. So a lot of people are like, what the fuck are you doing over there, fool? Like you're, focus on the state.
Starting point is 00:03:24 I mean, or maybe don't focus on the please fuck up but like stay that's not your lane maybe cross over that border and stay in mexico for the rest of your life or whatever you guys just get the fuck out but i think yeah i think a lot of people are also like oh you're this is some some presidential type uh trade craft you know what i mean like having to you now you oh i gotta talk about national things now because it's not just bad enough i'm locally trying to fuck it up so yeah and if people are wondering yes we did get to dent dent lift shrimp from brian kemp being having the same last name as sean yes um exactly because. Because Brian, our engineer, misheard Brian Kemp to be Sean Kemp. And then I said,
Starting point is 00:04:08 what if Sean Kemp's running for president with Detlef Schrempf in 2024? Kemp-Schrempf 2024. Boom. And that is an inside look at the show. The rest is history. We spare y'all from the nonsense. But we just actually just subjected it to you.
Starting point is 00:04:21 So sorry. Yeah. Disneyland is trending. Woo! We're. So, so sorry. Yeah. Disneyland is trending. We're back baby. Finally. Yeah. And I am recording this from inside. Sir,
Starting point is 00:04:34 are you recording in that stall? Sir. Yeah. One more second. What's your thing? I like to record podcasts in the disneyland bathrooms there's that dude who made a movie inside disneyland was it disneyland yeah one of them but it was like all cell phone right yeah all cell phone and being followed around by disney security yeah i don't need that
Starting point is 00:04:59 that already happens do not need that shit um do not need this shit but people are people are psyched look if your whole motherfucking personality is disneyland then yeah go the fuck off cool yeah i love i love that y'all are happy because you know it's weird i know and we all have these people in our lives yeah no it's weird because it's not like cops or like the cops i know like they're bullshit like like i remember my friend's older brother was a cop i looked him up this dude was a piece of shit that was like the one person i had in my mind i'm like well maybe my friend's older brother and i was like nope turns out people i'm like nah man i know good ap holders right i also know some weird ones too but i know good ap holders yeah uh but yeah i i was a little bit upset to see
Starting point is 00:05:46 some people who like go fully immersed into the disneyland world like who oh people you know who were like yes we're back baby oh yeah wow because you know i keep a menagerie of interesting personalities like on social media because i don't i like to look at how everybody gets down and yeah it was just a little cringy seeing how some people were like silent over so many other things but again social media isn't where you i'm gonna figure out who you are but i figure out what you like to talk about right disneyland yeah and it's it seems like it's sold out for a while uh because my four-year-old uh soon to be five tomorrow uh turning five shout out to ramsey uh was asking us if if we're ever gonna go to disneyland and we were like i don't think so you do that stressed out parent answer like oh so you're gonna go online and uh
Starting point is 00:06:40 find out a way to get those tickets because you know it's sold out you want to write the software that books it immediately the second a ticket opens up okay so you're gonna talk to bob eiger because that's the only way we get in yeah bob eiger is there it's funny to watch like these like it's like masked and like doing elbow bumps with people uh yeah me and bob are not on good terms right now the one thing though i do want to eat is just it doesn't even have to be from disneyland but i love a just a sourdough bread bowl i used to get that shit down by the french quarter area yeah lady gaga is trending because her dog nappers have been arrested i feel like the headline I got was that it was like five people,
Starting point is 00:07:26 part of this operation. And then the reality, when you look at the details, are that it was like two people who were trying to sell, I guess her particular type of dog is very valuable on the dog napping market. The dog web uh and one of them went berserker when it when the robbery was happening and you know shot the dog walker like a bunch of times uh so that person really seems like the the main criminal and everyone else just seems like they were like oh shit like what are we gonna do
Starting point is 00:08:05 this person who we're in business with or who like it's that person's dad i think and that person's dad's significant other are two of the people they were just like trying to get but they thought it was something they thought it'd be just a run of the mill stick up right and then someone in the crew didn't stick to the script went mr blonde on him yeah and started letting the fucking shots fly wow yeah but i mean act like it was like a it's just it's like a lot of crime where we picture it especially based on like the movies and tv shows we've seen we picture it as like this like planned out operation it's just always so messy so fucked up right um yeah man i mean it's just desperation you know speaking of desperation uh lebron james
Starting point is 00:08:57 might be coming back to save the lakers ass uh he is either coming back tonight he's going to test his high ankle sprain has been the longest he's been away from the court uh in his career yeah um so he's gonna test it at game time tonight if it doesn't feel good then they think he'll definitely be back on sunday um but i would say just you know don't don't whenever you want just come back when when you're good and ready yeah you don't have to play this season huh maybe just take a big break take a big break for all the other teams big old break let somebody else win it um i mean cool i i don't know what to look is I hope LeBron James can help the Lakers right now. The chemistry is very hard to recreate, as many people have noticed,
Starting point is 00:09:50 but I think that's the difference between being in the bubble and whatever this version of the season is, too. Has AD fully come back? I feel like he was back in name only. No, I mean, you didn't see Rui Hachimura fucking give him the work? Yoke on him?
Starting point is 00:10:04 Oh, my god. I was, it was like watching my parents fight. I loved it. But ultimately, I picked my mom. I was like, oh shit! I was like, oh AD, don't let him do that. I'm like, yeah, Rui, show this motherfucker what the
Starting point is 00:10:19 fuck you can do. So big week for Blazians between that and Yasuke. I mean, this is a big week. But yeah, I don and yasuke i mean this is it's a big week but yeah i don't know i mean it's gonna take a second and i you know we'll just keep we'll keep on watching shout out to the nuggets fan that's like when are you talking about joking it's just that's it yeah we will we will i don't look i look this is i don't know if you realize it's for two old-timers to just blab. He's definitely an original. Jokic is one of those people who, while you're watching him,
Starting point is 00:10:49 you're like, well, we've never seen this before. Yeah, and he's one of those players you hate but want on your team. Yeah, yeah. Where I'm like, fuck this guy. But would I say I don't want him on the team? Hell no. I like this sort of asymmetric warfare that he's playing on people. Yeah, his passing is amazing.
Starting point is 00:11:08 His shot is even weird. Like, his shot goes so high. It's wild. Yeah. Woo! But you see that Steph thing? This is going to piss the Nuggets fan off. Sorry to move on to a team that isn't nearly as good as yours.
Starting point is 00:11:21 But do you see that pass from draymond to steph where like he threw steph open yeah he wasn't paying attention got the ball like realized the pass was coming as it reached him and then shot it and turned away before it went in like just yeah sorry uh next level everyone's got freak powers you know and that's it and finally uh elon musk is trending it is uh the weekend that he will be hosting snl um snl is saying it's still happening baby oh boy uh you know cast members this is mostly being covered by uh the new york post because they want to be like trouble in paradise the libs are really mad uh but they had a thing so elon musk tweeted uh i think some of those like let's see how live saturday night live really is and uh the great bone yang who uh the new york post referred to as snl quipster bowen yang
Starting point is 00:12:30 uh which just made me sick to my stomach for some reason but uh said what the fuck does this even mean uh which i really liked that response uh so people like are starting to get the idea that like not everybody's super excited to have uh this you know just monstrous uh capitalism engine uh on the uh on the show hosting the show just because he has a lot of money what the fuck i like how boa fired the most direct shot though because a lot of people like ad bryant was like retweeting some stuff about like obscene wealth from bernie sanders one of the writers that says only ceo i want to do a sketch with is share e o terry yeah but yeah shout out to bowen yeah i don't know what the fuck i'm curious to know what happens because i know that's like if they don't want to they don't have to but then lauren like fires people for nothing man lord michaels is famously some
Starting point is 00:13:31 of the most compassionate people in entertainment yo he fired jenny slate for saying fuck accidentally on the show one time like her rookie year they fired her yeah which was clearly a good call because she went on to do nothing uh totally nailed she's completely become her own brand right right yeah um but yeah this i i just i don't trust it because he tends to you know make make some pretty wild and like shrewd cutthroat decisions but it's like always in the off season when really no one's really paying attention and right the the announcement happens along like the new cast members being added to the cast so it's unceremonious and i don't know i would be i don't
Starting point is 00:14:19 think it's fair for them to like just say through a spokesperson that like oh they don't have to like if if any cast member shows up on the on the show with elon musk like i'm not gonna take it as them giving their approval to elon musk i'm just gonna take it as like uh snl being a toxic ass workplace we're like yeah why is the episode so good? That would be amazing. Oh my God. The Elon, when Elon Musk was the blunt. Elon Musk is so funny. When he was the blunt, that was so funny. And then he brought his baby out and was like, it's X-A-I-A-X-I-I-I.
Starting point is 00:14:56 I mean, that is really funny stuff. Do you, right? Have you, are you pitching jokes to them right now? Nah, man. I'm trying to work with iconic events. More on that. Yeah. More on that. Yeah. More on that later.
Starting point is 00:15:07 We should... We got it. Our IPO will be on Monday in terms of... Oh, yeah. Us just IPO-ing an idea for a company that somebody else had, but we should be doing instead of them. Anyways. Your little boy is going to be ringing the dinner bell at the new york stock exchange uh that is always like the joy that that brings uh these like middle-aged ceos
Starting point is 00:15:35 to ring that bell uh always makes me it's always funny when you see people get wrangled into having to be on that dais like right they have like those icons like yeah because you know it's such a pr thing too right uh but yeah i don't know like i guess that's like the like winning a formula one race for like a old boomer capitalist is like being up there in the new york stock exchange like hey hey hey hey hey uh i'm ringing the bell baby I can't think of like a worse thing than that tradition and just like that energy
Starting point is 00:16:11 up there tune into Bloomberg on Monday Jack and I will bring you the bell to the start of the show alright that is gonna do it for this week another one in the books we are back on Monday with a whole ass episode of the show until then. Be kind to each other.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Be kind to yourselves. Wear a mask. Don't do nothing about white supremacy. We'll talk to you all on Monday. Bye. Bye. Kay hasn't heard from her sister in seven years. I have a proposal for you.
