There's a lot going on.
National Black Dog.
Sake Day.
Yeah.
That seems, okay.
A little bit higher on the list than Black Dog Day.
I think it's, I don't know.
Is it the same thing like with black cats or people don't like they don't
adopt black cats?
I mean, I have Winston Churchill called Depression a black dog that follows them around.
Yeah, I mean, we just live in a very, flattering Winston.
We live in a very anti-black world.
So it doesn't strike because the black, like black cats also don't get adopted.
So black dogs also don't because people are some people.
Man named black crows.
Redundant?
Hmm.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I've never seen a not black crow.
That's true.
What am I?
Who am I?
You know? Who are you?
Hey, you're asking the right questions.
Yeah, blonde.
Yeah, dude, blonde blue-eyed crow.
What's up?
Be like, ya, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
My name's Jack O'Brien, A.K. Snack O'Brien,
aka.
My grandma's skin, fidget spin.
When I was 10 years old, her weenest skin.
Oh, God.
My fidget spin.
Fear just spian.
That one courtesy of Abby Pop on the Discord
in reference to the fact that we were talking about
how nice it is to just play with your grandma's little elbow skin
and then Miles had to ruin it
by reminding us that that part of the body is called the weas.
No, Tam said that.
Tam, that's right.
I'm thrilled to be joined as always by my co-host, Mr. Miles Gray.
Oh, it's Miles Gray.
A.K. the Lord of Lakers from the showgoon with no gun, also a aka
Black Palestinian orange makeup on a face
doing activism.
with a secret disgrace.
Suddenly we find out it's all been a lie.
Apology posts, but still free Palestine.
Your beliefs are a comfort, but your life was a lie.
Students are now asking, aren't you actually white?
Dolejol.
Dolejol.
Shout out to Emory's for that one.
Because, yes, we were talking about the fake Palestinian, black Palestinian public school
teacher last week.
Yeah, and again.
So that's all for you.
Dolejol, dolejol?
It is dolejol.
I like to say it's all.
I don't know.
You put some stank on it.
I put a lot of.
I think we found out this week, Jack,
I like to put a lot of flavor on a lot of names.
I don't have flavor.
Have you been dressed?
Chichonia gate?
Did we even talk about it on this?
I thought we talked about it on Mike.
No, no, no.
That was an off mic thing.
Got it.
Okay, I thought you said that like people were coming for you because you mispronounce that.
No, in my life.
In your life.
Got it, got it.
Okay.
He was always fucking after me, bro.
Everyone's fucking against me.
Miles were thrilled to be joined in our third seat by a brilliant comedian,
writer, journalist, activist.
You know from plays like Al Jazeera, MSNBC from the podcast,
The Bittuation Room, from the YouTube show, The Bituation Room,
from all of the things.
You can see her Saturday at the Lodge room for Vituation Room Live.
If you're in L.A.
or just really about it, you know, you can drive in, fly in, whatever.
It's Francesca Furentina.
Francesca!
Hi!
I never prepare a AKA, but that's fine.
You don't need to.
AKA I'm here.
You're here.
You're here.
Also known as present.
In person.
It's been a while.
Present.
Since I've been in person with you.
I know.
That wasn't at a kid's birthday party.
Oh, yeah.
I think because I see you and Matt a lot.
So then I'm like, we haven't?
Last time I hung with you in person, I think, was the guy's child's first birthday party.
Oh, wow.
Wow.
Otherwise, straight Zoom.
Zoom buddies.
Wow.
Good to see you.
Yeah, wonderful to see you.
Sorry, good to see you.
And with your spirit.
Thank you.
All right.
We're thrilled to have you here.
We're going to get to know you a little bit better in a moment.
First, we're going to tell the listeners a couple of things that we're talking about.
Do you want to debut the title of the story that, did you say it on Mike?
In the beginning, I did, but, Mama Mia, don't botcha the gotcha.
Okay.
So that's the story.
It's the title of Wild Group.
I love it.
Look, if anything else, I have to indulge myself when I write stories in a show.
It is one of my favorite stories of the year so far.
It's pretty good.
It's pretty fucking good.
Don't the botcha the gotcha.
Old Italian wives sale.
Don't botcha da gotcha.
You know what they say?
Don't botcha the gotcha.
Botch the gotch.
Dude, I botched a gotcha all the time.
Crow would say.
Hey, don't botch the gotch.
Anyways, the Republicans botched the gotch in their questioning of Jack Smith.
So we're going to just take a quick look at that.
It happened a couple days ago.
You might have seen it.
But we haven't talked about it on mic, and it's just too glorious not to really live with you.
Just that dumb confidence of Republicans who really think they're so galaxy-brained in there.
Oh, wait till I fucking get them with this shit.
They're going to make movies about this shit, brother.
They are.
Yeah.
They are.
This is a Co-in Brothers movie.
Yeah, I'm ready for my close-up.
But watching the movie, like watching it stop midway was so glorious.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Anyways, where you're going to talk about the TSA is about to turn 25, which makes sense.
I don't think I realized that it was like invented for 9-11.
It was invented for 9-11.
It was invented for 9-11.
Opt-out forever and always opt out.
Opt-out of TSA.
Of everything.
Yeah.
Up to anything they do.
Sure, sure.
America.
So before, like, on 9-11, security was handled by private companies.
And because this is like Republicans in charge of everything.
They're like, what if we privatize, for the 25th anniversary, what if we just did that again and privatized it?
So they're trying to fuck with TSA employees, which seems like a cool thing.
We have to get to that because I have just so many thoughts.
I know.
So we'll talk about that.
And then we will talk about the parental estrangement epidemic, which is the Wright's latest obsession being like, we got to do something about these kids.
They won't invite us to Thanksgiving.
Damn it.
They don't call me back.
I deserve a life free of discomfort.
at any level.
I think this is a,
is a gamer.
Like,
I think this story is really going to be a thing.
I think we've got,
we've got one here.
We got a live one with this narrative coming from the right.
That, like,
we need to police how our kids treat boomers.
Yeah, yeah.
Sorry.
Let them rot.
All that plenty more.
But first, Francesca,
we do like to ask our guests.
What is something from your search history
that is really doing about who you are?
One fucking one thing.
You fucked up.
I fucked it up.
This is like the blocking, I guess, is good for how things,
but it does feel like Miles and I are interrogating you a little bit.
Yeah.
And I'm sorry for that.
It's okay.
Oh, it hurt.
Yeah, yeah.
I just looked up squirrel for some reason.
Uh-huh.
No.
The animal?
Hold on.
Why?
No, I needed a picture.
I needed a picture.
After driving past your like 300,000th squirrel, you were like, all right, I'll bite.
What are these fuckers?
Yeah, what are they?
Mini cat rats?
Why are they here?
Okay.
Let's find something interesting.
I find squirrels very interesting.
I will think, you know.
The fact that they were not a thing.
If somebody time traveled from the 1800s to our modern cities,
the first thing they'd be like, whoa.
What are these things?
Look at all these squirrels.
They're so cool.
Where are they coming?
The woods, I guess.
I was looking up on YouTube how to play Blackjack.
Okay.
Because I was staying at a casino over the weekend.
Nice.
Part of a broader, a broader overrated.
and a broader problem, really.
And I, you know, I may have microdose some shrooms and went and I was like, could not sleep.
Because I've never microdose shroomed.
I only, I'm only like tripped for real, for real.
Yeah.
Yeah, no, no, no, good dose.
Macro dose, we call it.
So it had been a long time and I forgot how buzzy you get when you, like I couldn't sleep.
And of course, I'm in the casino and we go to the casino with my friend and, you know, watch a table kind of go by.
and one guy's kind of coaching the other, and it was nice.
Anyway, the point is, is I was too drunk and buzzed to do, like, bad girl math in front of men.
So I was like, I need to not do.
Like, I was about to sit down on the table.
He was like, come sit down, you're going to have beginners luck.
And I was like, no.
So I went upstairs and started looking on YouTube how to play blackjack.
And then I was like, I'm not going to go back down.
I really wanted to, but I was like, I don't want.
That was the moment.
But again, like, I already can't do like basic addition.
Doing basic addition a little bit buzzed and like in front of stranger men is not going to happen for me.
I'm going to lose all my mind.
So you're not good at quick maths.
No.
Quick maths.
I was a Kuman kid.
Right.
And it didn't take.
It didn't work.
Don't just say that.
I know.
I know.
They're going to disavit.
Yeah.
She was never a Kuman.
You know the like the logo?
Oh, my kids can count cards.
Yeah.
The logo is just like a kid going.
Yeah.
It's a really weird face.
That was, that's me.
And you should not have that kind of brain.
That's the closest they can get to an authentic smile from Kuma.
I remember because it's like a, like it's a Japanese thing, I think initially.
Because they used to just be like, it wasn't like, they certainly want you to think it is a Japanese thing.
Yeah, exactly.
It's definitely.
Well, because I remember like a bunch of like Japanese kids around me were doing it.
But like this was before they had like the cool brand.
It's like you go into that weird building downtown.
Yes, that's when I went.
That's when I went in the 90s.
Yeah.
That shit was weird.
Yeah.
It's an educational network based in Japan.
Yeah.
You go into O'Donagie's math lessons?
Yeah.
You're not seeing much of that.
Cannes beer bottles.
99 bottles.
Let's go.
29.
My poor wife took my last name because I made her now.
Jesus.
And she now is like a doctor with a name that everyone's like, that's not the name of a doctor.
Dr. O'Brien.
She got to change it back.
I know.
Honestly.
I love that.
And she's Asian.
right?
What is she doing?
Irish racism is affecting her doctor
or her crew?
Like, shit, I don't know.
Who's this fucking guy going to be?
Everybody who's there is just there for the novelty.
They're just like, I want to see one.
Where's your red hair?
Where's your red hair?
Anyways, you did say
you were on mushrooms on the casino floor and you said
you watched a table go by and I was like,
oh, you were on a mushrooms.
The table.
The table goes up the table.
He was watching this table.
Yeah.
made it sound so fun.
The cards were moving on their own.
Yeah.
It was a bad casino.
I was like,
I'm not gonna,
I'm not gonna do this.
There are bad casinos.
I'd say most of them are bad.
Well,
the,
the video told me basically that like,
if it was,
if it was like three to four,
some shit on the split,
I don't know.
Like, when you,
when you,
when you bet or you double down
on the,
on the cards.
If you're splitting cards?
If you're,
no,
not if you're splitting.
I forgot what it was,
but effectively if it's like a five,
six or a four,
three four,
three fours are better.
I don't know.
But it didn't matter.
Because, you know, as I was like, like, you know, a five, six split.
And I was like, that's bad.
So I'm not going to go back downstairs.
It was just an excuse me.
My privilege as a man is like the only thing that I know is like, don't really hit on 17.
And that's it.
No, no, you hit on everything over 14.
So I was like getting into it.
Depending on what the dealer has.
Sure.
Yeah.
And usually like, like blackjack tables usually have some degenerate gamblers that would love
the company of like a woman that they could just tell them how to do it the whole time.
you're not going to want to hit on that.
You're not going to hit on that.
You should hit on that.
These men, you know, to their credit,
I was one more,
come on away from doing it.
You know what I mean?
And I feel like they were, you know.
They would have looked out for you.
Yeah, he was like,
I'll back you up on anything,
which I didn't know what the fuck that man.
Well, because usually, too, like,
they don't want you to fuck up the cards
because if you hit,
that could be a potential dealer's bust card.
No, sure.
Then like, that whole thing is the dumbest shit in the world
because it's like,
that was going to be his
if you didn't make the bad mo's like,
Yeah, but it wasn't.
So, yeah, yeah.
That's silly.
Anyways, I definitely feel you.
I'm not wanting to play Blackjack.
Play Flip Seven.
That game's more fun.
I just played it this weekend.
It was the most fun card game I've ever played and has the same feeling of Blackjack.
A blackjack.
Yeah.
They didn't offer it at the casino.
They don't because it's a children's card.
Well, not children.
It's a card game for recreation.
What's something you think is underrated?
Um, so the, the super El Niño?
Mm-hmm.
I'm like.
underrated. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I think this thing's going to be fun, right?
Yeah, I'm like, give it a chance.
Yeah, I got my kayak.
It could be chill. No, I'm a little bit like, okay, so we're getting these, you know,
we're being fed these headlines about how Super El Nino is coming and what is it,
how many hundreds of thousands, tens of thousands of people are going to die.
Potentially.
And I'm like, I feel like we are sort of underplaying, we need to kind of get more excited
and have a little bit more preparation for what do the fuck this means?
Because I keep on wanting to say.
Like, what does that mean?
Like, record rainfall.
Does that mean, like, crop failure, drought, wildfire.
Just like every terrible thing that can happen.
Like, that's on the menu.
Exactly.
We just don't know how intense and how frequent.
There's going to be a manatee at your doorstep.
Yeah, yeah.
With a knife.
You know what I mean.
That's why I feel like it's underrated.
Like, you know, we're here in L.A.
I think it's going to hit California very hard.
No one's talking about it.
It could flood the Central Valley.
Yeah, what?
Yeah.
Which then they have to take down their,
Stop starving us for water.
On the five.
On the fucking five.
MAGA.
Exactly.
It's,
I'm all,
I'm constantly terrified by the super old.
You know,
because I am reading it and I'm also like,
this Guardian article just casually told people in the UK,
it's like,
you should stock up on rice and dry goods.
But like,
in a very English way,
you know,
like,
because they're never panicked outwardly.
They're like,
and it might be good practice to fill you.
It's like,
dude,
you're saying people need fucking rice and stuff due to crop failures
or like the lack of crops being able to
move because of weather or down with Iran war fuel.
El Nino?
It's going to affect the, yeah, the northern hemisphere in different ways.
Yeah, yeah.
But again, those kinds of things can manifest in like lack of food being able to move
properly around the world or, yeah, we're going to see record heat, which typically
is affected parts of like Asia, like much more intensely than it does anywhere else.
And the U.S., obviously, we're no stranger to the heat like heat domes and things like that.
That's also on the table.
but like the California thing,
they're like,
they're like,
it might be the biggest storm
the state's seen in a thousand years.
I'm like,
where did you get that data
from a thousand years ago?
Right.
Like, what?
Yeah,
yeah.
Yeah, this was like one of the things too,
like a lot of prepper brain friends of mine.
What do I talk about?
He's like,
the perfect storm is like the state capital
getting flooded and a huge crisis hitting
our government's completely gone gridlocked
because of like the disaster.
A tsunami hit Sacramento.
Right.
Yeah, whatever it is.
But I mean,
like the erroneous.
The ocean is also like, I think that's the big thing that we're already seeing in California.
Like, houses are like on the brink of just fully washing into the sea, like in Malibu and shit.
Yes.
So, yeah, it's, I get what you mean.
They'll get paid out.
Don't.
It's fine, though.
Yeah.
Yeah, potentially or not.
But like the other thing, though, too, is with the death toll, I think in the U.S., people are like, not going to be here, right?
And that's the attitude, I think most people have in, like, the northern hemisphere or just sort of like, that's not us, right?
Yeah.
But yes, it will be eventually.
Yes, it's not already is.
Like the heat deaths are already, like that's one of the most deadly or the most deadly
type of weather event that you can have.
And it's already happened.
Have you ever been in a flash flood?
No.
I was in a flash flood in Texas, which is like we're about a little bit over the one-year
anniversary of those, of that camp being washed away.
I did a whole video about like the fucking breakdown.
Republicans are washing their hands completely of all that, even though they
defunded all the systems that would have alerted people and everything.
But anyway, I was in a flash flood on a body farm in Texas.
A what?
A body farm.
It is where it's a forensic scientific farm.
Forensic science, whatever.
It's where you study decompose.
Decomposition of bodies.
And I was doing a National Geographic segment.
And we were like about to leave.
We're like, all right, bye.
And then it was raining.
And then all of a sudden, like our car couldn't get out.
And I'm like, yo, bodies are about to start.
bodies.
Yeah.
Everywhere.
Wow.
Yeah.
And it was also like the same day that I had seen a many dead bodies and I'd never seen one in my life.
So that was also very interesting.
It's not this creepiest thing that happened.
And not even just like a freshie.
Oh, I saw freshy.
I saw like pre-blote, after bloat.
Because you know after you die, after you bloat, you go.
And then all.
And what was beautiful actually is that the grass around these people was like all black.
So because there's so many nutrients in your body,
it's too much for the grass to absorb and it kills it.
Right.
And it's like, then beautiful growth and grass and flowers grow in your skull.
That's how I want to go.
Yeah.
You want to just be tossed outside and naturally decompose.
I want to be put on that body farm and then be washed away in a flash flow.
I saw a straight up grandmother be put on the body farm and they put a mattress over her.
I was like.
To study.
Because that's a thing they're seeing.
Because apparently in Texas, you can't dig to bury body so people cover them with mattresses if you're killing somebody.
So they were like studying how the decomp works under a mattress.
You can't dig?
What do you mean?
There's limestone.
Oh, it's hard.
It's hard to do.
It's hard to dig.
They're just really respectful of a lot.
They're like, oh, you can't dig.
We already broke one big one.
And it's a big one.
I'm not going to H.E.
double hockey season and then digging.
Right.
No, I don't know.
They were just like, no, it's harder to dig.
So, like, people will just put a mattress on top of it.
The most child was like, I was putting newspaper on my spill.
Right.
No one will notice.
Like a mattress?
Okay.
Anyway, flash floods.
Okay.
Yeah.
What's some of your thing's overrated?
Let me, let me just get this off my chest right now.
I went to the All Things Go music festival in Maryland.
All Things Go.
And let me just say, and I don't want to offend people listening, because it is very queer, which is cool.
However, I do think that white women in music in the year 2026,
are deeply overrated.
And it felt...
White women.
It felt like a Make a Wish Foundation Festival for rich women, rich white bitches.
Rebecca Black was performing.
Wow.
And when I say performing...
Friday Rebecca Black.
Friday Rebecca Black, whose parents also bought her that song in that music video because they could.
And she's still out there.
And it's just like high school, like high school, like high school,
assembly level performances.
I'm sorry for those who like Zara Larson, but like, what the fuck is happening?
This like Swedish pop star trying to do 2003 again doing Beyonce.
I'm like, I don't even get it.
And everyone, it's like, yeah, everyone's queer and it's cool, but it's still like Barbie doll
thin and just like, I'm a sexy girl.
Sexy, sexy girl.
And I'm just like, okay, if you're 10, if you're my daughter, this is amazing.
But like in the real world
Like Suki Waterhouse model turn singer
And I thought Suki was a DJ
And I'm like okay okay
Because I like EDM I like electronic
I'm okay I'll fuck with a DJ
Nope she's a singer
And she can sing but like her songs are so boring
It's just this is the shit
What did Cara Delavine do?
Oh she's a I think she's a DJ
She's also in the lineup
I'm like Cara Delavine is not a
I'm not trying to talk shit about everybody in there
I like Lola Young look like I fuck with Lola Young on that
Okay, but there was just the day that I went, it was like, I can't with this.
Did you go because you were covering it?
Or you went because?
I did a set in a very cool,
comedy, comedy tent.
It was a great gig, terrible.
Word of a fucking gig.
Sounds great.
I don't know why I did it.
Yeah, yeah.
But you did.
I have standards.
Yeah, I did it.
You did it for the free ticket to go.
Rebecca's black.
Don't lie.
I don't know.
No.
No.
Was at a casino?
It was not.
It was not.
No, no.
It was at the Mary Weather Post Pavilion venue.
It was very cute.
Oh, that's cute.
Good venue.
Free McDonald's fries and, you know.
Free McDonald's fries.
Is it such a specific offer?
There was free Ben and Jerry's and some good, some good margaritas.
So, but that's about it.
It was pissing rain.
And I just, this white girl music, I'm just, I don't get it.
And I think, I'm like, it gave me new appreciation for Coachella.
Like, oh, you actually.
curate to have like musicians
artists yeah artists interesting sounds if nothing else
right like I want to be surprised yeah like okay
this is different yeah yeah there's definitely a mix like it looked like
there's tenache performed yeah yeah it's like a mix of like artists and then people
I'm like you are artists yeah remi wolf and tenorci miss them but anyway so I'm not
trying to say all of it but like just that a lot of there were a couple there were a couple artists
you're like hmm hmm yeah
I get it.
Maybe I just don't like pop that much.
Could be.
Is that it?
Maybe I don't like pop.
Maybe I don't like pop.
Yeah.
Okay.
Going to pop music festivals and not being a fan and being.
It's rough.
This is not great.
Overrated.
Yeah.
Overrated.
Let's take a week break.
We're going to come back and talk about the bombshell of the year.
The box.
The bomb.
Just so I'm sure I have you on a record.
You were not at a, uh,
is it your testimony that I'm up looking.
Oh, you just perjured yourself.
Sure, Dickhead.
Mama me, don't bacha and we return.
This record is on.

And we'll discuss the game that brought us together
because nothing is off limits.
Do you remember your initial reaction
when Fox called you to be a part of the World Cup?
I was like, no, I don't want to do it.
You said no?
I played with players that didn't, I don't think that they really, truly love the game.
I found the love with the ball at my foot.
But in my head, it was the long game.
It was like, I don't care what I'm being asked to do at Fox.
I'm going to go get some reps, and I'm going to learn it and love it and embrace it.
He said, this group of people will never be in the same room as part of the same team ever again in your life.

Is there an epidemic against literature?
More specifically, black literature.
Our books are being banned, scanned by AI, and destroyed.
I'm Jack Weiss Peace Thomas, and on this season of the Blacklit podcast,
We're outside asking some of the custodians of our stories, teachers, and our modern-day writers.
Why?
They don't want a whole bunch of little Ella Bakers, Michael Maxis and Martin Luther King running around.
They want to build children who have no empathy.
That's really the ultimate goal.
We want books that don't make white kids feel bad.
So is the war on literacy and information or our ability to connect?
We want people to know how sexy reading is and how fun they could be and not always associate.
with education.
It could be an escape.
It could be entertainment.
And that is the beauty of reading.
It can be all of those things.
And considering this is Black Reading Month,
the only real question is,
what are you reading next?

I'm going to make it weird.
Someone's going to try to sing, leave get out, or too little, too late, or baby to you.
Oh, no.
And I'm going to be like, okay, cool.
I also caught up with Wildo 267 for a conversation that covered his story, his perspective, and plenty more.
I don't even call it cheat day.
That's a life day.

The new NFL season is here, and you should be listening to NFL Daily as we march along
to Super Bowl 61. Last year, we had Mike McDonald, Sam Darnold on the field after the game.
But that was last year. If you're a football sicko like me, NFL Daily is your kind of show.
It is in the name NFL Daily, fresh content in your feed every day all season long.

And we're back.
We're back.
I did confirm, and it is offensive to Francesca, the way that I said, that title that I don't need to say again.
Italians won't be white pretty soon.
Yeah.
You're back out.
So the Republicans.
An Italian doctor.
I don't know about this.
Dr. Fiorantini?
Oh, fuck.
Oh, man, if only.
The broader context is that the Republicans in office are not very smart.
They're looking for something to change the narrative.
And they were like, what if we did a Watergate?
What if we did all the presidents, man, you know?
This is like their 12th time trying to do this shit.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Again, this week, I mean, the big thing at issue was the fact that Jack Smith subpoenaed the phone records of like Ted, like of these lawmakers.
Sure.
So they're like, it was personal.
They're like, you're overstretching, blah, blah, blah,
trying to paint the entire investigation as a sham when really he was like,
yeah, you guys should, I would charge the president for based off of what I've investigated
and what has come up from my investigation.
Sure. Because again, the reason he subpoenaed it was he needed to see what the pressure
campaign looked like on Republican lawmakers in the effort to overturn the 2020 election.
So anyway, we all know that story, but the partisan stupidity just reached just astronomical levels.
when Eric Schmidt of Missouri
thought he had the most
brilliant gotcha question
for Jack Smith.
And, you know, what do you do to that?
Gotcha.
He botched it.
He botched it. He botched it.
It's so funny because so many
headlines are botched got gotcha question.
And I kept reading that over and I'm like,
you got botcha the gotcha.
It's just sitting right there, you know,
a little less professionalism
and you're dealing with a fucking genius
Wall Street Journal editorial office.
Yeah, he's a lot.
on the phone again, guys.
But he didn't, there was no gotcha.
That's the best part of it.
No, exactly.
Yeah.
So we couldn't have botched it because it wasn't anything.
That's true.
And in that sense, I am wrong.
And even if it was, let's say everything that he said was true and he didn't botch it.
Mm-hmm.
What is he claiming that Jack Smith went to go confer with Fonnie Willis?
Yeah.
Yep.
But secret conferring at a big basketball game.
Well, also like, but that was a day, that was a day before.
she revealed the affair.
Right.
Like,
because they're all pointing to this thing
that she was, like,
romantically involved
with one of the people
on the prosecution team.
So,
so,
you know,
like,
where I'm going to start playing the clip
is this senator
pressing Jack Smith.
Sorry,
just real quick on the funny,
well,
that's,
she's romantically involved
with someone on her own team.
Her own team.
That's the thing.
Like,
they're treating it like,
she was fucking the judge.
And completely,
yeah,
exactly.
It's like,
no,
this is just what happens
in every movie.
Totally.
Yeah. Haven't you seen the wire?
Yeah.
They bone.
You're standing there picking at some Chinese food.
And these are separate cases.
This is the Georgia electors.
I mean, the Georgia case, right?
Yeah.
And Jack Smith is looking at, you know, sort of nationally and specifically the January 6th.
Yeah.
Right.
And how we got there.
Yeah.
So, yeah, again, this is Republican Senator Eric Schmidt pressing him.
Basically, the thrust of his conspiracy is that Jack Smith,
met with Atlanta DA Fannie Willis,
who was also looking into Trump's actions in Georgia,
but he can't really explain for what reason.
He just knows,
did you meet with the other lady that didn't like him?
And so the moment he thought he had his ass is truly something
because he kept insisting that Smith was at a Atlanta Hawks,
Golden State Warriors NBA game in Atlanta in February of 2024.
But Smith was genuinely confused.
And he's like, how'd you like that game?
Right.
And he was like, what?
He's like, you're in Atlanta, huh?
And he was like, what are you talking about?
Do you like basketball, Mr. Smith?
So he was, again, he has no idea what's going on.
So that's kind of what's going on in this interaction where he's going to then be like,
so were you ever in Atlanta?
Because Jackson was like, dude, I don't think, I don't, I've never been in the Hawks game of my life.
They're going to call me the human highlight reel after this one, man.
Dominique, who you were seeing at the, oh, he doesn't play anymore.
Fuck.
I just want to say,
Jack Smith has a great,
number one name and number two,
grizzled ass over it face.
Oh, yeah.
It is,
it's really cinematic.
He's got, like,
stressed out,
cool dad.
Yeah.
Where it's like,
if you come home,
you like,
you crash the car.
Like, I can already see in this face.
Like, you fucking do you.
You guys have not heard of Botox.
No.
No, he's in a watercolor.
It's okay, though.
Did you ever go to Atlanta
during your time at special counsel?
Oh,
this person is,
lips like, he's getting worried.
I really don't think so.
It's possible I flew through the Atlanta
airport on the way to Florida, but
I do not have a recollection.
House Hartfield-Jackson.
To Atlanta.
I definitely did not go to a hawks game.
I'm sure of that.
Did you ever meet Nathan Waiter, Fannie Willis,
in your time of special counsel?
Oh, he's getting so nervous.
No.
What would you say if I had a series of text messages from your team
that said you were in Atlanta at a warrior hawks game
on February 3,
2024 the day after Willis and Wade
announced their affair.
Were they at the game?
He's like, wait, wait, I love they flash.
They flash it and then they take it down.
So this is, after he says that,
they put up some text messages
that have been like, you know,
Photoshop together, like AI, you know,
chat GPT together that just say
like, it says like, hey man, is section
109 level one reserved for Jack?
Yeah. And then someone just saying,
yeah, thank you, blah, blah,
I think we have it covered.
They're just talking about, like, is he in this section?
Someone said, yeah, he's already down here.
Thanks.
Okay.
Down in Atlanta, obviously?
I don't know, man.
That's what I'm saying.
And the timeline is February 2nd.
Fannie Willis, like, and now reveals this affair.
Then February 3rd of these texts.
Again, there's nothing about Trump.
They're just saying like, this happened this day and then this happened the next day.
And if this happened, then Jack Smith went to Georgia to try and throw
sand in the gears of a separate investigation that actually when it came out that she was having
this affair benefited Republicans.
Right.
So why the fuck?
Like why even is that a conspiracy?
Oh yeah.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Do they even have her at the Hawks game?
No.
They're just trying to say that he's in Atlanta.
Because that's where she lives.
Because it says Hawks game.
Again, we're about to find out because clearly there's some confusion over this.
And Jack Smith is like, what are these, what are you talking about?
And this is what's funny because Jack Smith is slowly starting to figure out what the fuck he's talking about.
Yeah.
And then Senator Amy Klobuchar comes in with the fucking death blow.
But I do.
So they put up this like Photoshop like history of like these text messages that they think is their smoking gun.
And as Francesco said, take it down like five seconds later.
It's like, yeah, oh, yeah, I got the money.
You want to see it?
And then like, flash it out here for one second.
You got the stuff?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah, I got nervous.
Check it out.
Okay.
That's plenty of time.
You didn't read it?
Well, it's, you're fucked.
Yeah.
Buddy.
So it's going to come down and Jack Smith is even like, can I see it?
What are you even talking about?
Put it up, took it down.
And you go to total.
I bet you didn't think we had this stuff.
Again, Eric Schmidt really being like, I'm getting you, motherfucker.
Yeah.
Ooh, now you're nervous.
I don't think you know that we have this stuff.
So I'll give you a second to process it.
So you don't give you a second to get over how incredible we are.
it down really quick.
If I could look at that again.
Okay.
This chairman, can we give the witness a copy so he can see what's being read to him?
Clear your throw a Dick Derby.
I think you've already sufficiently.
I want to run through.
See, I like it goes, yeah, I don't think we.
Like, Duke Durbin is even like, you want to show him what you're talking about?
I think you know you're fucked, brother.
He's fucked anyway.
Moving on.
So he's going to go out and follow.
You can respond.
I think you've already perjured yourself, but.
Wow.
Did you or your office?
Did we see it?
Can we say?
Not perjury.
Did you or your office seek?
This is my time.
Senator, can you see?
If you want to use your time to criticize my question, go ahead.
If you want to use your name.
Very briefly.
Here you go.
If this is the correct basketball game, I recall going to a University of Maryland basketball
game where Caitlin Clark was playing.
Hmm.
Oh, the Iowa Hawkeyes?
And the Marshal Service was there with me.
You could check if that was the exact date.
It was Maryland playing Iowa.
I think February of 2024, but again, you can check that out if that's what we're talking about.
Come on, Amy.
This is so good.
Could it then be that University of Iowa is the Hawkeyes?
Could that be it?
And maybe before we show this kind of thing, I know.
But if he was at an Iowa game, is that correct?
It was because Caitlin Clark.
He looked so happy.
Yeah.
I know.
She's so tired.
She's so tired.
But perhaps you should have looked at it more carefully.
Okay.
My response was Cloby.
Cooby from three.
Chloe.
She is not wearing makeup.
She's kind of disheveled and tired.
And she's just like giving everybody is feeling like, could you just, is it the hawk eyes?
Is that what you?
Hey, you and you make stuff.
The Hocs is your bullshit story.
Isn't that like against like cis-hett white man law in this country that you don't know the difference between the Hock eyes and the Hocs?
Yeah.
They'd be like, what are you a fucking French terrorist or something?
Got your ass.
You didn't even know the difference between the Hawks or the Hawkeyes.
Schmidt seemingly took, shook that one off as what is happening.
But there's also a clip of Senator Katie Britt who's sitting right next to him.
Her mouth's like a gate.
Oh, no.
she's like, oh, Jesus, this guy's an idiot right now.
And then I clearly, like, I think remembered she was on TV and kind of went,
closed her mouth because it was pretty bad.
So, you know, Schmidt is really playing it cool now when he was asked after the hearing by TMZ,
bro, what the fuck just happened in there?
Yeah.
He was totally cool about it.
And basically was like, dude, nothing, everything's fine.
So this is, this is from TMZ.
Did you watch that gotcha, good old TMZ?
If TMZ DC is listening to me, I want to work for y'all.
If all the presidentsmen happened today, they would be the Robert Redford character.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, and especially this Australian guy, because his accent is so disarming.
Yes.
And he will straight to be like, what's going on there, mate?
Kind of mess that up there.
Yeah.
He's going to roll for that?
Or like even when he talked to me, I remember when Mitch McConnell first came out.
He was like, yeah, mate, sort of botcher the gotcha.
Yeah, it's all right, mate.
Hey, we're not all here to fuck spiders, right?
So here he is getting pressed by the great DMZ DC correspondent.
It's good to see you, man.
Good's up.
I got to ask, man, what happened in there?
About what?
Jack Smith, well, I don't think about that.
He asked him if he was at a basketball game that night.
The only NBA game that was going on that night was in Atlanta.
So I asked him if he was there.
He lied twice.
He lied about not seeing the contents.
He lied about...
He just started steaming like...
dumb little things and he's like claims he got him.
Now, I'm looking at this man,
the Schmidt's face and I'm like,
okay, maybe he's got some rosatia,
some eggs him on the face,
what's going on,
I don't know,
but he has been read
in every single clip.
And I feel like,
like the shame is very visible.
That's the hard part when you don't have men of it.
Oh,
you don't feel bad about that?
Tell your face.
Yeah,
because.
So he presses him a little more too.
He's like,
yeah,
but Mike.
He was like, sure,
you said that,
but like,
What's going on?
But it seemed like you're trying to get him rather than just like curious.
Oh, whoa.
I was a hawk.
Sorry, I'm having trouble.
I almost threw up there.
So no, no heads are going to roll over this sort of thing.
Like, whoever gave you that information isn't like,
he's in jeopardy?
No, I asked him a question like, were you in Atlanta?
He answered, well.
He's lied before.
So I guess we'll take him in his word that he wasn't in Atlanta.
I don't know.
So that wasn't like an embarrassing moment or something from where you're
stuff?
What's that?
I asked him.
He's not answered truthfully before.
So people can decide if that's the truth or not.
I mean, I suppose that the Department of Justice can ask him really where he was that night.
I don't know.
Like, you're like, I don't even know.
Just like, they're like, that was embarrassed.
Like, look, I ask questions and he answers him.
Yeah.
No, asshole.
You thought you had him cornered with this information that was so fucking, so far off.
You're now just going, I don't know, he's like on the Hawks game or something.
He proceeded to do more interviews about it.
He's on like the Charlie.
Kirk show, you know, with the new Charlie Kirk's.
Been saying constantly, right, some version of like, well, he's, he's obviously lied before.
So, like, bro, that was, these are not the Ls you're looking for.
The, um, they also had, like, speaking of Charlie Kirk, we, we got Benny Johnson tweeting,
like, right as it was happening, Senator Eric Schmidt just caught Jack Smith,
perjuring himself on the stand in his testimony.
So I think they, like, sent this out ahead of time.
100%.
Yeah, yeah.
I think you guys are going to want to see this.
They're just saying, Michael Jackson.
sent thriller gift with the popcorn.
Jack Smith denied having any contact
with Fannie Willis and denied going to an
NBA game in Atlanta. Then
Eric Schmidt pulled out the receipts.
This is, yeah, they're like,
you know, copy paste, fucking
the influencer signal they've got going
and people getting paid, whatever, between
$5,000 and $10,000 per
tweet to say the same shit.
Just...
And then did he... This is why we need a
ballroom. He just left it up? I don't know.
I saw a screen cap of it.
that already, like within five minutes,
had 170,000 views.
Yeah, ratio.
But he had quotes.
So I think, like,
Schmidt was working off the script because it's like,
what would you say if I had a series of text messages from your team
that said you were in Atlanta at a Warriors Hawks game
the day after Willis and Wade announced their affair?
I never been,
I never been to Atlanta.
Again.
I don't think you know that we have this stuff.
I'll give you a second to process it.
Jack Smith is stunned.
Yeah.
Swish.
Confused as book.
Yeah.
Good for Jack Smith.
He said that he would charge the president still.
Give me 300 more times.
I'll do it 300 more times.
Yeah.
Exactly.
Yeah.
I mean, this may affect Schmidt's long-term aspirations because right before that hearing,
there were all kinds of reports like an axios and stuff coming out that, like,
he's on a list of top candidates to be J.D. V.P. pick.
I mean.
So, I mean, that one up, man.
Birds of a feather, though.
Yeah.
Just turds of a feather go together.
And yeah, it didn't wreak havoc on the government more and more.
I don't know.
I mean, we're all part of the fart left.
Yeah, that is true.
Did you know?
Looking at this.
He meant to do the joke.
Do you remember where you were when you heard that joke?
As a comedian, like, that's probably one that sticks with you.
I was dying my hair blue, I remember.
Yeah.
I was transitioning.
And getting stabbed by an unhoused person in Los Angeles.
Yeah, I was lighting a cop car on fire.
No, but I'm getting shirts to say the fart left immediately.
Yeah.
You would wear a shirt that says fart on it?
Hell yeah.
The fart left.
I don't know why.
I don't want to wear shirts to fart on it.
Because you smell like farts.
No.
It's because nobody suspects it's you.
No, they look around and they see the dude with a fart shirt.
There's no way that's true.
I fart and I go, huh?
And I know I never let it.
I never let it just be.
Works every time.
Works every time.
Let's take a quick break.
We'll come back.
We'll talk TSA.

And we'll discuss the game that brought us together,
because nothing is off limits.
Do you remember your initial reaction when Fox called you to be a part of the World Cup?
I was like, no, I don't want to do.
do it. You said no? I played with players that didn't, I don't think that they really truly love
the game. I found the love with the ball at my foot. But in my head, it was the long game. It was
like, I don't care what I'm being asked to do at Fox. I'm going to go get some reps and I'm going to
learn it and love it and embrace it. He said, this group of people will never be in the same room
as part of the same team ever again in your life. And it is your job to make sure that you,

leave get out or too little too late or baby to you.
Oh no.
And I'm going to be like, okay, cool.
I also caught up with Wally-2-67 for a conversation that covered his story,
his perspective, and plenty more.
I don't even call it cheat day.
That's a life day.

Peace.
Is there an epidemic against literature?
More specifically, black literature.
Our books are being banned, scanned by AI, and destroyed.
I'm Jack Quees Peace Thomas, and on this season of the Black Lit podcast, where,
We're outside asking some of the custodians of our stories, teachers, and our modern-day writers.
Why?
They don't want a whole bunch of little elevators.
Michael Maxes and Martin Luther King running around.
They want to build children who have no empathy.
That's really the ultimate goal.
We want books that don't make white kids feel bad.
So is the war on literacy and information or our ability to connect?
We want people to know how sexy reading is and how fun they could be and not always associated.
with education.
It could be an escape.
It could be entertainment.
And that is the beauty of reading.
It can be all of those things.
And considering this is Black Reading Month,
the only real question is,
what are you reading next?

The new NFL season is.
is here, and you should be listening to NFL Daily as we march along to Super Bowl 61.
Last year, we had Mike McDonald, Sam Darnold on the field after the game.
But that was last year.
If you're a football sicko like me, NFL Daily is your kind of show.
It is in the name NFL Daily, fresh content in your feed every day all season long.
Matthew Stafford coming off his MVP season.
On a dazzling darts from Matthew Stafford.

A.J. Brown is loose.
And of course, those Seahawks trying to run it back and win another Lombardi trophy.
The Seahawks win Super Bowl 60.
They are bringing the Lombardi back to the northwest.
If it's happening on a football field, NFL Daily will cover it.
Listen to NFL Daily on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
And we're back.
We're back.
I do just have to say great, great work on the title on that one.
Did my mom text you?
Yeah, like how many times are you going to say this?
My mom texted.
Well, it's just he did a last second audible because he was like,
Francesca's going to want to hear it in like an Italian way.
I did.
So, yeah, just very, very good last second work.
That's true.
Francesca's going to want to hear it in an Italian way.
Francesca's going to want to hear it in an Italian way.
Well, does I have to acknowledge that Francesca,
if you're 18, he's Italian,
and make her feel seen.
Yeah.
All right.
The TSA is pulling a reverse George Costanza and banning chairs.
I didn't remember this episode, but there's an episode where George Costanza brings a chair for a security guard who's always standing.
I just saw that episode.
Well, the TSA also did.
At the casino, it was on.
Really?
The casino had Seinfeld, just random thing?
I mean, it was, you know, on the TV.
Yeah.
At the room and the hotel room.
It was once.
It was a great episode.
In the room.
Not on the casino floor.
I think on the casino floor.
No, but that would have been great.
You know, like, I love this one.
Yeah, yeah, that would be great.
The chair for the security guard?
He does.
And then the security guard falls asleep.
Mm-hmm.
Right.
And yeah, that's right.
So maybe this is why the TSA is making this.
But they're not even able to clear the low bar of decency set by George Costanza
because they've just announced that all airport security employees,
checking boarding passes and IDs will no longer be allowed to sit down.
well working.
They claimed that it was somehow to create a welcoming and professional environment for
travelers, but no explanation beyond that.
You know who stands, like, guard like that fucking armed centuries.
Right.
You know what I mean?
I guess that's, we want to be more inviting.
Yeah, yeah.
I've never, yeah.
I mean, they're all at like that little podium.
I know.
I feel like they're usually standing.
Yeah, yeah.
Pit boss.
TSA pit boss.
Yeah.
TSA pit boss.
Yeah.
But these poor people, they've been through so much.
The shutdown, they were like, unpaid.
They were like unpaid.
They were all, you know, going to food pantries and shit.
I was literally like, thank you for your service every time I would go through TSA during that time.
And the one thing they have is that stool when they're checking your ID.
Yeah, a little stool you can lean back on.
Just that's, I mean, they're not even leaning.
You know what a stool is, you know?
Yeah, yeah.
Just get you off your feet a little bit.
So this may be part of TSA's new Horizon 25 initiative,
allegedly celebrating the agency's 25th anniversary.
but so other things that they're doing expanding TSA pre-check sounds fun rolling out new technology
privatizing some checkpoints don't listen to that part improving the passenger experience oh okay yeah yeah sure
what was thinking about technology but it's better for me yeah yeah yeah yeah privatization think about
rich guys rich guys will pay you money privatization they're just going to have new lanes and new tiers
to pay clear pre-check yeah right pre-check right pre-check
Plus.
VIP.
VIP plus platinum.
Yeah.
Yeah, of course.
The bottle service.
The union.
You pick them up with sparklers.
Checking your fucking passport.
Someone comes out to drink your water for you.
I don't want to dump this.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
You just have a little person who like kind of takes you through.
The union slammed the move arguing that their chairs serve as a basic ergonomic and
safety support for officers.
that stand and walk on hard surfaces all day.
It's basically safety and common decency to the workforce.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
This kind of what, yeah.
There's reeks of, like, somebody going,
like that some person who has never talked to a TSA agent,
but, like, now runs it that Trump just, like, appointed somebody two months ago to run it,
who just, like, looked once for a split second.
Found a problem where there wasn't one.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like at the same time, like, who is it when they sent them through,
like, maybe the Kennedy Center or, like, a Smithsonian to be like,
all this stuff has to go.
This is against Trump's law.
Yeah.
Or God's law, whatever you want to say.
More than one agent suggested on Reddit that this is really about making their job shudder
in an effort to pressure more unionized workers into quitting so the government can privatize
their jobs.
That's exactly right.
Yeah.
That's what they've been trying to do.
It's these poor people, I really feel for them.
And just speaking of the 25-year anniversary, it's been incredible, like, what the 9-11 terrorists
were able to do, you know, from the gate of.
of the plane, right?
Like, you know, how we, like, guests weren't allowed to go through,
hang on, I'm trying to set this stuff.
Fuck y'all.
What I'm trying to say is, you know,
ever since TSA, people weren't allowed to accompany their loved ones to the gate.
Right, yeah, yeah.
You know, because the hijackers, they didn't even hijack the plane,
do.
No.
They fucking control that shit from the gate.
From the gate.
Yeah.
From the gate.
They were just holding signs that were so persuasive.
So persuasive.
They were like.
Invinced people.
Comandere the plane.
Mohamed Atta was just going to see Disneyland.
Absolutely.
But the whole thing has been bullshit from jump.
So now 25 years later, we are more of this place where I think the whole thing should go away.
TSA?
Yeah.
Air travel as well?
Yeah.
Well, have you seen those conspiracy theories online where people are now like they're denouncing
that airplanes actually operate in the way that they do?
Like that air travel is a sham because it's like using like magic.
So it's like it.
conspiracy theory invented by a toddler who just went on their first elevator.
Yes.
And is like, what do you mean?
It's going up and down.
No, the room just changed around.
Yes, absolutely.
They move the world for you.
You're still in the same place.
Thank you.
Like, they're magic.
Like, it's truly, it's like, I don't know.
I don't believe all this other stuff.
It's like a table going by while you're watching Black.
People play Blackjack.
Yep.
Yep.
But yeah, I didn't realize TSA was invented by 9-11 because, and,
And prior to that, it was privatized.
So they're like, yeah, we're going to celebrate these 25 years.
Horizon 20.
It's funny that they're calling it.
Go back to the thing that incited the need for it to begin with.
Sure.
I mean, also, I think we just.
Horizon 25 because it's like, and that will be the horizon.
That's the end.
Right, right, right.
Nice 25 year run that we had there.
But they are going to let more people go to the gate.
Go to the gate.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's like, look, I think they know.
They're like, we got to give one for the people so they don't realize.
were making these workers stand all fucking day.
Yes.
In a way, I'm like, can they come up with some,
can people hide like weird leg braces that just like whatever Trump's got?
Yeah, but also, yeah, that keep you like just up.
Did you see recently he had some very interesting?
Yo, the pose?
Yeah.
He was, he looked like he was in the act of getting twisted up like mid crossover.
You just, just want to play.
I just want to show you that.
Pretty sort of like, I don't know.
Again, I do think he's, oh, my God.
What is happening here?
Yeah.
I think it's because clearly whatever leg devices he needs is to stay upright,
he's just got to like, I just got to swivel in my hips.
You know what?
It's the heels.
It's like it must be the heels are too uncomfortable.
Everything's like shifting him forward.
He's got leg braces that are like keeping him forward.
He hate to see it.
But no, the one thing that makes TSA unbearable is a TSA agent who is angry and annoyed and mad.
That's the only thing.
And they're being made to be annoyed and angry in math because they're not getting paid.
And now they're like, you can't even fucking sit.
Yeah.
All right.
Yeah.
What are you going to do next?
Like the people at the x-ray thing, too.
It's like, you better not be sitting at that computer.
Well, that's what I'm paying.
That's who I usually see sitting.
Is that what they're saying?
No, they're talking about the podium.
Yeah.
Who comes by and goes, hey, let me see your idea.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Good thing the rest of traveling is is fine.
It's fun and enjoyable.
Yeah.
Flights are good.
They're nice to us.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
All right. We do have to talk about an epidemic beyond just TSA agents being allowed to sit down.
The other one is that too many of these damn kids looking at their boomer parents and being like,
Fuck you. When will you die?
Yeah. Why are you racist? I don't want you to be racist around my child and therefore we're not going to have Thanksgiving dinner together.
But I'm their grandpa. Yeah. Okay. You missed everything I said. That's a big part of the problem. Yeah, yeah.
I need them to look up to people in the family that,
also stand for the same values I need for mine.
So Republican gubernatorial candidate Byron Donald's was holding a Florida rally and somebody asked him if there was any way the government can help her out with a problem.
That problem being that her daughter won't let her see her grandson.
Oh, man.
This is amazing.
Hey, why won't Sheila call me back?
Right.
Hi.
Oh, dude, this is the same voice.
I'm totally in love with your family.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for your values.
Can I come over for Thanksgiving?
My question is about grandparents' rights.
Is he an interracial marriage?
Do you know that?
Grandparents rights.
Wait, hold on. Is he an interracial marriage?
He was engaged to a white woman?
Yeah.
Because that feels like the kind of thing a white woman says to a black man and goes,
I love your family.
Right.
Like that you're...
No, never mind.
I don't know.
I'm thinking Tim's got.
Let me just.
just look really quick because it made
the hair stand on my
fucking head when I heard this white and go,
I love your family.
Being a kid in an interracial,
like a product of interracial marriage,
I would hear that weird fucking vague,
hostile shit.
I'm like,
you have such a beautiful family.
And it was always like these backwards-ass people.
Byron Don't.
When did this thing start?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, all right, confirmed.
Okay, that's all I needed.
Nope.
And I already knew because the way she said it.
That's amazing.
I love your family.
I love your family.
Let me guess.
I love your family.
Let me guess.
A weird thing to say, but I think I know what you mean.
You've been deemed safe by your white wife.
And I love that.
Oh, here we go.
Okay.
Sorry, she loves his family.
For your values and what you've done.
My question is about grandparents' rights.
Yes.
Do you know that?
Does somebody be the best of growing?
Oh, shit.
Let me hear that one we're done.
Grandparents rights.
Yes.
Do you know that Florida does not protect
grandparents' rights, if a regular parent, we're not talking about divorce, we're not talking about
drug abuse, we're not talking about substance abuse, we're not talking about a parent missing,
we're not talking about them never been married, we're talking about regular parents and a regular
grandparents, that they argue, they don't agree, the parents can cut the grandchild out of
the grandparents life. And that has happened to me. I have not seen a grandson.
since August 7th of this year.
And I want to know what can happen to get the fix because of pettiness.
Because I refuse to make a sin because I had plants.
And that's why I'm not seeing my husband.
Knock it off with these eight and a half by 11 tears.
Sick of this shit.
You think she's white?
That's why I said eight and a half by 11.
Babysit that one time.
And I just want to know about grandpa's rights and or why my daughter won't call me.
regular. You're not even a sex offender.
You just have odious beliefs.
She's straight up like, because I was, I had to get my nails done that day and I couldn't
babysit, but then she said that I don't deserve me.
She did specifically say like, because I had scheduling conflicts is her.
Making it so much about her.
You know, the Karenicity is in the care.
The Karenicity is amazing.
It's impressive.
This is a new story that's popping up on multiple media outlets that are of the conservative
persuasion, which I was surprised.
No, we don't say.
Who have published articles questioning why so many adults are cutting off their parents.
And their answers are things like TikTok, too much damn TikTok, talking to too many therapists.
Yep.
Those are kind of the big ones.
Anything but yourself.
Yes.
You know what I mean?
I did what I had to do.
Yeah.
What I knew at the time.
Because I had plans that day.
Such an.
I had the backhand you.
Don't you see, honey?
Peak American.
to be like, what about my grandparents' rights?
Even though, okay, so I'm in a situation
where I've demonstrated to my family
that I am willing to usher in a hostile administration
that would threaten their existence.
And they're saying because of that,
I can't, I'm not good.
Yeah.
Because I'm doing things that would indicate.
I don't show up.
I don't care about them.
Right.
I show up when I want.
What about my right as a grandparent?
Mega, I show up when I want.
I grandparent when I want.
It's such this weird inversion of.
rights. It's not about your own, your own rights, your own autonomy to do what you need to do
with your life that somehow then there's another layer where it's like, well, hold on, is this
other person okay with you exercising your own autonomy? My mom went to grandparents class.
Really? My mom went to grandparents school. Wow. In preparation to be a grandma.
PhD. Good for her. To PhD and grandma hood. Yeah. She's not really following the rules.
Okay. Okay. Which is basically like you don't set the rules.
Right, right. Your kid sets the rules. Fall back. This is fall back. This is
fallback time.
But to her, I am particularly terrible with her.
I'm like, no, a dad, no, no, no, adult, blah, blah.
Like, I always have something to say.
But you know this, parents do the literal opposite of what you're saying.
Yeah, yeah.
Could you not do this and they cannot not do that.
They're like, you're the child.
Yeah.
Trust me, I know what I'm doing.
I fucked you up real good.
I think I know what I'm doing here.
But this is, like, really, I mean, I make, I joked about this for years with the
MAGA movement of like, you know, why, well, my kid.
all me back, but that's really what it is.
It's a whole political
movement of people who have been estranged
from their entire families. I one
time had an idea of like, let's do like
Maga pen pals where like we swap
parents or we swap like
all pen pal, you know, your
Trump voting mom
because we depersonalize
it. Sure. Just explain it
in a very clean.
Talk some sense into her.
And we should all, yeah.
So I got one offer of someone's
boyfriend and I was like,
this feels a little bit too much.
Yeah.
I mean,
it's just like it's everything.
And also I don't really want to talk to a mega voters.
It's like the same way like MAGA voters are also like,
what's happening to the economy?
What the heck happened?
Yeah.
Because you voted for this.
Yeah.
You're not,
you're completely absolving yourself.
Yeah.
And they've completely mentally absolved themselves of any responsibility because that is the,
that's honestly like the worst experience for these people is to think that
somehow they are the architects of their own downfall.
Yep.
Because that can't.
No, it can't be.
I live in America where there is no such thing as us being the victims of our own, you know,
arrogance or ignorance.
Yeah.
And then to be like chickens never come home to roost.
Just like my daughter.
Hey, what about ex-boyfriend rights?
Hey, you know, the only got rights.
Hey, you know, I got rights.
This lady broke up with me, all right?
And she says she don't want to like, I can't even call her no more.
Yeah.
Like, what about my rights?
You know what I mean?
What happened?
Well, I was cheating on her and stuff.
I was cheating her real bad.
But she didn't want to, but like, I got rights too.
I'm still with the girl I was cheating on her with.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I'm cheating on her with another person too, but like, I still got rights, you know?
What did he say?
What's the response to this?
I don't know.
I think if he didn't immediately take this and be like, all right, this is the future of the movement.
he fucked up because this is what this is definitely what the Republicans want to want to hear you know what the thing is they all know that their base and their audience are this fucking sad and yes yeah they know and they don't they just don't interact I think they have as little due with possible they know this is it's like punching down making fun of some of these folks right yeah yeah and they know that I mean it's like people are comparing some of these fundraising emails that Trump's been sending out to like elder abuse emails.
You know, like a senior, you know, scam and fraud shit.
They know what they're doing.
Yeah.
They're like, you don't want to dine in hell, do you?
Please give me money.
This is actually...
You want $5,000?
When the woman finished sobbing, he did give some kind of response.
Fine, because grandparents should be able to see their grandchildren.
I am so sorry.
Oh.
I wish you went, are you done?
Yeah.
That sounds like a YP.
Yeah.
Sounds like a skill is.
you. Oh, she's not that.
Who's this? One, I, I, I am, let me, I,
Colorado, hi my word on this one. We are going to look into that.
We will work with you and we'll work with the members of the legislature.
There you go. We're going to work with the legislature.
That, that is happening to you. I really, really am.
Man, that's, I am sorry, man.
I mean, for four years. I was there every week, except for illness. I was involved with
his life.
And because I was, I wish you go, I mean, has your daughter said what the solution would be?
Right.
To mending the relationship?
Right.
She says she wants me to be less racist or something.
No, but you know what?
I think it's interesting.
I think about friends of mine who've cut their parents out of their lives, which is very hard to do.
But at some point, you have to be like, all right, this is harmful for me.
Right.
It hurts me.
I've confronted you about the shit that I need to confront you about.
And you don't, you don't respect that.
You don't acknowledge it.
But then if that friend has.
As a kid, I think, you know, shitty parents all of a sudden do want to come back in the picture.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
And it's like, no, that doesn't change things.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I think because a lot of the times, too, for when people become grandparents, it feels like you're like, oh, life is going to continue.
Right.
Even though I, my life will end eventually.
I can at least sort of bask in these final few years knowing, pouring into another child that will be like, yes.
these values can extend without realizing that, like, I guess it's a complete,
there's so divorced from the reality of like what I, what the effect of a parent is on a child.
Yeah.
You know, and I think that's just like completely ignoring it's like, but.
The last thing you want if you have a shitty parent is your shitty parent around your kid,
like telling you how to do.
Or also just like maybe openly showing your grandchild the love, their grandchild of love,
maybe you didn't get.
I don't know.
There's all kinds of drama going on.
There's like, I was a friend of a friend was talking about how like their grandparent, like the grandparent keeps using AI to do stuff with their kid's photo.
And they're like, please fucking stop.
They're really blown away by AI.
Yeah.
He's riding a taradol.
Don't put, don't put, don't upload my child's fucking image into this shit, please.
But yeah, there's so many.
They just needed it as social for me to put this together.
That's why you give them the little, the little, you know, digital frame, you know.
That's where you see the photos, put it in the digital frame.
Yeah, it is a great.
It's a great product.
I love inserting and all the grand, I have a lot of grandparents.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
The digital frames, yeah.
You always got to do like, send that one.
And then I got my mom got me one and I was like, I'm sorry, mom.
Digital frames are for old.
Okay.
I'm not going to have a friend over him.
They're going to ask me if I'm okay.
Exactly.
Exactly.
Do you need to go to convalescent homes?
They're going to conserve me.
Yeah, yeah.
I saw, but anyway, it's,
in my house now.
Oh, well, that's nice.
And it's in the background
when I'm like doing Zoom calls
and people are like, oh.
Well, it's very interesting.
Who did you say your favorite
tonight show host was?
I'm curious.
You're going to run that back from.
You look really good for your age.
But it's just like this same.
I think this is also
kind of genius from the GOP
because they're running out of moves
to cater to their base
which are rapidly dying boomers, right?
Right.
And this is like, you're like,
oh shit.
what do a lot of them have in common
that have become MAGA grandparents?
Democratic voters at 23%
are nearly five times as likely
as Republican voters to say
they will be spending less time
with certain family members
because of their political views.
Yeah, like at this point
they're gonna, yeah,
they're gonna be like,
we're gonna get you back in touch with your kids
and your grandkids.
You know, that draft,
we're just destroying that,
the little draft in your house.
Bring about their draft for the young people
and getting rid of the draft for you
in your chair.
Right.
Also, the idea that this is an epidemic is not really true.
Rates of estrangement are around the same as they were in 2020,
and it just is a thing that the media,
the right-wing media is like jumping on.
Like, it's also just like the hot dog fucking meme.
Like who we're all trying to find who fucking did this.
You guys did this.
Right.
In 2022, 26% of adult children in the U.S.
experienced a period of estrangement from their fathers
and 6% reported a period of estrangement with their mothers.
Right.
Our findings were consistent.
27% with the fathers and 6% with the mother.
Yep.
Yeah.
So that was 22.
And then it says,
which showed that 27% of Americans in 2020 were also estranged from a relative.
So it's,
yeah,
great.
You've created another dump.
You're trying to create another culture war thing.
But it's funny because if you go a generation below that,
people go, yeah, dude,
my parents are fucked up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I get that.
Yeah.
Turn it off.
Yeah.
And maybe we'd have a relationship.
Yeah.
It's so good though
Pray for them
I pray for her
What about my rights?
What about my right to trample on other people's rights?
I just had to get to the sale first
And then I was coming through
Dumb, just people need to understand
what your fucking responsibility is to other people
That's it
This used to be a thing, this has been a thing
For a long time
But people used to just share this
Quietly
Yeah, before I was a thing
Yeah.
But they used to just share it with the neighbor, 11-year-old boy at church on Christmas Eve.
So stupid.
That's how you're talking about home alone.
That's where you talk about your estranged son and how you don't talk to him.
I'm keeping out with a shovel.
No, man.
I voted maga thrice.
Oh, fuck, dude.
Get the fuck away from me.
Not you too.
Yeah.
It's an epidemic.
Yeah.
It's an epidemic of like these are like maybe the problem is you.
The entire movement is maybe the problem is you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And also that's actually not possible.
It could not be.
Like to your point though, too, that it's like this is a thing that the rates have stayed the same,
probably because the rate of embarrassment is still the same.
And that the same amount of people will hide the fact that they've been estranged because
they don't want to accept, oh, how's your son doing out in California?
He's great.
He's real busy.
I wish I could see my grandson more, but he's so busy right now.
I have a burner account just for following him.
I created AI avatar that looked like his best friend from middle school.
And I'm him.
And I have also a child that's the same years old and we exchange videos.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's terrifying.
But you know what?
Byron should have told her, like, have you thought about recreating your grandchild using AI?
Right.
That would be the next thing.
That also helps something they're all heavily invested in.
To hear your grandchild?
I'll get you a grandchild.
What do you want to look like right now?
What's this?
I'll cook it up right now.
Definitely create images of children on the internet.
Just custom-made, yeah.
Nothing bad has ever happened.
Yeah, I haven't read news stories at all about that at all either.
Francesca, such a pleasure having you on the podcast.
Where can people find you?
What's up?
What's up?
You done?
Where can people find you, follow you, all that good stuff?
You can find me live.
I'll be in L.A.
I'll be in Philly, October 13th and 14th at the Punchline.
Come see me and Matt Lieb.
We're doing stand-up on that Tuesday, and then Bituation Room.
is live on that Wednesday, the 14th.
The 15th in Brooklyn at the Bell House.
Matt and I are also co-headlining.
And yeah, follow me at Frannie Fio on all the socials.
Amazing.
And listen to the Situation Room podcast.
Mm-hmm.
Do it.
Is there a work of media that you've been enjoying?
This is an old tweet that I have saved.
And it is from 2023.
Hmm.
And I think it's from Sonic Mommy.
and it's very apt for this week
and just always.
I love her work, Sonic Mommy.
I think all men should start off in jail
and prove their way out.
I think we're there.
I don't know if you guys have been following,
but women are not happy.
No, no.
Women unhappy, scared.
Yeah, no, we were just talking about
the Cornell case.
You just look at how the DA
and the cops are all talking about each other.
You're like, none of you guys give a fuck
about anything.
You think it's a joke.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So, yes, loving, loving that idea.
It's coming, like, like, women behind the scenes have these conversations all the time.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
How should we kill these kinds of men?
Yeah, yeah.
And, you know, I had a very long conversation about the bonobo world and how they just stomp the shit out of their predators.
Monkeys?
Monkeys.
They're matriarchs.
I thought you were talking about the menswear brands.
No.
Oh, okay.
Oh, yeah.
Or the producer.
No.
No.
No.
but that's that's that's good fuck music um that's crazy that good fuck music also the inspiration
to stomp out your fucking partner absolutely yeah yeah yeah yeah well they don't practice consent
while you're listening to bonobo but anyway um that's i think it's an important i think they i think
i don't know what it's like i mean you guys have don't fuck it up being you know parents of dads dude
i'm just like parents of dads parents of boys as the father of a son as a father of a son i'm like i wouldn't
even know. I wouldn't even know that would begin. I would just be like, don't. Do not be a, I would
just probably scare the fuck out of him the way my dad would scare the fuck out of me with police.
Oh yeah? You don't ever want to meet these motherfuckers. Yeah. He's like, because you don't know
what the fuck's going to happen. And that worked? I mean, I definitely grew up with a healthy to unhealthy
fear of just authority at times. Like, I would be, you know, like sometimes paralyzed with fear.
Yeah. Even if the fear is like, don't do this to somebody, not because you're hurting them because you're going
to get caught. Yeah. Otherwise. Even if it's that.
Because don't think you can act with impunity.
I think that's the biggest thing.
You cannot act with impunity.
Yeah.
Fucking take that out of your fucking mind.
Right, right.
Yeah.
Anywho.
Anywho.
Bring a lot of comedy.
Bringing a lot of comedy.
Miles where can people find you as their working media?
You've been enjoying.
Yeah.
Find me everywhere at Miles of Gray.
I'm talking about 90-day fiancé on 420-day fiancé talking about English soccer football,
the Premier League.
on A&Footie with Jamel Johnson and Chris Martin.
And that's my work of media at AFC underscore G.
Right now, there's a lot of controversy in the Premier League
because the Abu Dhabi-owned Manchester City Football Club
has been found to be doing about 45 Kauai Leonard's
worth of sham contracts throughout the like,
through a period of a 10-year investigation.
And a lot of people have been joking,
like some clubs aren't, you know, nation-state-owned
so they don't have the same, you know, access to capital.
And this tweet was, quote, they were cooking the books while our Arsenal had to sack Gunnersaurus.
Gunnersaurus is like our mascot in a big, like we had to fire like to cut budget.
We're like, she was too expensive.
Yeah, yeah.
Meanwhile, these motherfuckers were just absolutely making up fake sponsorship deals to keep the fucking money flowing.
So I felt that as an Arsenal fan.
But Gunnersaurus is back.
We're back though.
I mean, he would do it for free, right?
Be Gunnersaurus?
Yes.
Yeah.
Everyone would be Gunnersaurus for free.
Gunnersaurus.
I got to look this up immediately.
Oh, it's just a big goofy.
He's just wearing a baseball cap and he's like a green dinosaur.
Nothing to do with anything.
I think it happened because someone drew it in a contest or something is how it happened.
I love it.
It was a child.
They asked kids to be like, who should our mascot be in this crew?
I would like Gunnersaurus and like, kid, you got something.
And the lore began there.
Amazing.
I like to tweet by Harrison Weimraub who said my phone, which is ruining my life in hundreds of different ways.
The volume you listen to music at is mildly unsafe.

As well as a song that we think you might enjoy, Miles.
Is there a song that you think that people might enjoy?
Yes, it's funny because I had another song, but then you mentioned Bonobo, and I was like, man, I used to fuck with Bonobo.
Yeah, you.
Fuck to Bono.
Sorry.
Fuck with and two.
Thank you.
This is actually from the 2000 album Animal Magic.
The track is called Terrapin.
It's just great.
This is like, I guess for people, like younger people who don't read.
realize, like, what the sort of, like, vibe was of this kind of music at the time.
This was, like, the kind of shit that would be playing at, like, the cool stores.
Is this Bonobo?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
TerraPit.
By Bonobo.
Check it out.
All right.
We will link off to that in the footnotes.
