Starting point is 00:02:03 or wherever you get your podcasts. Hello, the internet, and welcome to this episode of Don't Trend on Me, man. Oh, shit. You got some flags up. Yeah. I'm Jack O'Brien. That's Miles Gray. That is. It is.
Starting point is 00:02:38 It is I. Hi. Hi. What the fuck is trending? So many things. Let's just start with the Meek Mill thing, actually, because there is a mess happening at the moment between him and Nicki Minaj. There are all kinds of accusations going flying that from Meek Mill beats his sister and mother
Starting point is 00:02:58 to Nicki Minaj knowing that her brother was molesting and assaulting children. I think most people are looking at this with their jaws on the floor. Yeah, it's just... I mean, they've had beef, you know what I mean? Well, I mean, didn't they used to be an item? Yes, yes. I guess it all started because Meek Mill liked a meme that was making fun of her husband, Kenneth Petty.
Starting point is 00:03:26 Okay. And now Nikki came back with literally like on her stories, it says, you a clown, you do it for likes, Twitter fingers, beat women, scared of men. And then her next, like one of the next posts is like clearly Meek, but has like the clown emoji over his face. And then went on Twitter saying that he was beating his sister, spit on her, taped it, kicked her out in front of his mom and all this other shit, sent her to the hospital.
Starting point is 00:03:53 And he says, sucking Drake's dick made you feel tough again. Move on. Wow. So that all happened first. Like Meek hadn't fired back or anything. I think he fired back like after maybe 10 minutes after the first tweet or something. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Because I think people were like, maybe you should look at this. Right. And then he came back with his own shit saying, you know, talking about how you said your brother's convicted of rape and you've been new and paid for his lawyer. Your little brother touched that little girl too.
Starting point is 00:04:23 You know I know. You want me to crash with your boyfriend and I won't. And then saying like people, then he was going on, no, everybody in the industry knows you're a bad person. It's, hey, look, this is what I guess people are living for on Twitter right now. Wow. But all the allegations, like in terms of like him hitting his sister, I think they're not really proven.
Starting point is 00:04:44 They don't know if like Nikki actually paid for her brother's lawyer. So, look, it's perfect fodder for the Twittersphere when two celebrities and exes go for each other's throats. Sorry, I'm just looking. It looks like Pete Buttigieg just passed Sanders for popular vote. Oh, in Iowa? Yeah. Whoa, look at that.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Damn. So that's something that's happening. Right in this moment. Right in this moment. Looks like Pete passed Bernie for popular vote. How much of the vote is it now? I don't know. 85%?
Starting point is 00:05:22 85%. Maybe? Yeah, that's right. Okay. I don't know. 85%? 85% maybe. Yeah, that's right.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Okay. So shout out to Pete. The one state that he put all his eggs in the basket of, he is pulling it off. It's working. It's working. A lot of people, when they always ask, like, how much did you spend here? Yeah. And he's always like, look, come on. We didn't have any money a year ago.
Starting point is 00:05:42 I mean, that's true. Yeah. Until the billionaire donations came in. Right. So it's still true. Can mean, that's true. Yeah. Until the billionaire donations came in. Right. So it's still true. You know, can't take that from him. That's wild, though, because once again, polls just getting everything completely wrong.
Starting point is 00:05:55 He was third behind Sanders and Biden pretty distantly, and Biden is in distant fourth, and he's going to win. Well, now they have to realign because they're like, oh, our establishment pick is just crashing. Well, I don't know. Again, it's just so hard, too. This is the first one. So let's see a couple more come in and then we'll start firing up the
Starting point is 00:06:18 take machine. Romney is trending. What would he do? He became the first senator in the history of the United States to vote to convict a president from his own party during an impeachment. Do you think it's because Trump is clearly guilty and it's mind-boggling that the rest of the party didn't vote to convict him? I'm even confused but what do you mean i'm in such a i don't know what's real anymore right i misheard you pardon do you think that it's do you think he voted because trump is clearly guilty yes oh okay yeah i was
Starting point is 00:07:00 so confused at first i'm like what do you mean i I don't know. I mean, I think they know, but they're not acting like it. It's very clear that it is. And yeah, I mean, wow. It just seems like real bare minimum shit to me. Absolutely. He did the bare minimum. But you know what? Because we love to make a hero out of somebody who most of the time people were like, no, this guy ain't it.
Starting point is 00:07:25 I mean, I do want to shout him out, right? I mean, being in among like that party, that group of senators. Yes, but I just feel like, again, we're also acknowledging that this was the bare minimum. Yes, yes, absolutely. I mean, even voting for the witnesses, I was almost saying that was the bare minimum. Even voting for the witnesses, I was almost saying that was the bare minimum. But if you're just doing that as a ceremonial thing to give yourself cover, then it doesn't mean shit. Right. But with this, the pundits on the right are losing their shit.
Starting point is 00:07:55 Yeah. They're like, prepare to be destroyed, motherfucker. There's a hashtag recall Romney going on. Yeah. But the gavel just fell, and everyone everyone's like acquitted, not guilty. Sick. Like they're treating it like it's big news. It's like president is cleared all caps from Daily Mail. We don't know how this is going to go.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Right. What the fuck is happening? What are they talking about? The bare minimum. Right. Again, the bare minimum. But hey, you know, it is it was I'm not gonna lie, a little invigorating to see somebody just go out there and break with his party like that. Right. I'm sure it won't play well in the immediate. Dude, the GOP Twitter account is already, like, running shit like, oh, well, you know, Trump's even more popular than Romney in Utah.
Starting point is 00:08:41 So it's like, okay, you're already putting your crosshairs on your own people. Yeah. But, hey, this is not the already putting your crosshairs on your own people. But hey, this is not the Republican Party anymore. It's just the Trump cult. Not guilty! I'm curious. You know like in the psychology of like butchers, or not butchers, like bullies and shit? The person to first stand up to the bully,
Starting point is 00:09:00 that usually will either, that person will either get crushed, and then you'll be like, I ain't fucking with that dude. Or, they try and fuck with the person who stands up, they survive. And then that gives other people belief to be like, you know what? Maybe I can fucking withstand this bullshit. But either way,
Starting point is 00:09:15 I mean, he, I'm sure Mitt Romney is going to be the focal point of a lot of rage in the coming days. Man, they really are treating this like it is news that he got acquitted. Like an actual verdict has been handed down on a court case. Senate acquits Trump of abuse of power.
Starting point is 00:09:34 Like the largest font I've ever seen on the front of CNN. Well, you know why? They can't actually acknowledge that they didn't care what was said. So I guess you have to treat it as if it wasn't a sham. Right, but we knew this from the start. I'm sure New York Times is doing the same thing. What a fucking disgrace. Trump acquitted of abuse of power, top.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Yeah, so it's all just mainstream media being like, this is technically news that we have to treat like it is historic. Rather than predictably republicans shame themselves and the senate chamber right with sham trial yeah because afraid of bully right uh trayvon martin is trending because he would have been 25 today yeah that oh that's a wild thought to have yeah uh and also to think we're, even with all this time passing and all the other shootings that have happened, we're still really not much closer to rectifying this problem. Yeah, boy.
Starting point is 00:10:34 Yeah. Damn, 25. Yeah. What's that piece of shit George Zimmerman up to? Getting, like, rearrested constantly for constantly for like doing all kinds of wild shit he's a you know he's a murder violent murderer huh let's talk about robert pattinson uh we we're pissed are we yeah we were up for this yeah that's true we were looking for trying to get to be crowned as most handsome man on earth.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Yeah. And it goes to this guy. I mean. Fucking bullshit, man. Bullshit. The ratio. So they used science. Quote, unquote.
Starting point is 00:11:16 To see how much people adhered to the golden ratio of beauty. Yeah. adhered to the golden ratio of beauty. Yeah. And according to this study, Pattinson's eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw, and facial shape were measured against other male celebs. Uh-huh. So, yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Not all men. Hashtag not all men. Uh-huh. Important. Important. Important. And his came closest to the ratio of perfection. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:46 Cause the whole, these, these measurements are like the perfect face length or the perfect face. If you want the perfect face, the length of the ear is equal to the length of the nose and the width of your eye is equal to the distance between your eyes. And, but this is all according to plastic surgeons. Right. Which is sick. Who always create the best looking and most normal looking humans
Starting point is 00:12:12 after they're done with them. Exactly. Yes. But it's funny because they say Pattinson's face basically scored a 92.15% accuracy rating for this ratio. Yeah. And then that means everybody else. Henry Cavill, 91.64.
Starting point is 00:12:25 Get out of here, you monster. I'll go. Bradley Cooper, 91.08. I'm going to barf. Brad Pitt, 90.51. And Clooney, 89.91. I mean, don't even mention it. I am curious, because those are all famously handsome people.
Starting point is 00:12:44 I'm curious how many people they did they did this too you know oh no uh because i i would like it seems like it's the the people who are most famous for being handsome other than maybe henry cavill yeah should have been us yeah anyways what are you gonna do yeah uh all right let's go nurse our wounds today let's go nurse our wounds uh we are gonna be back tomorrow morning with more podcasts have a pleasant day bye i'm renee stubbs and i'm obsessed with sports, especially tennis.
