So Dorinda actually picked the racist. Sorry, I'm stupid. And Candy Burris was upset. Rachel Kirkconnell, who is the woman who was caught liking problematic posts on Instagram. It got outed that her parents were Trump supporters, a ton of money you know to like packs that supported trump but you know just

a bunch of like conservative republican groups and she also like hung out at antebellum parties right yeah she went that's the big thing that came out that she was at an old south antebellum party uh photographed with friends um she's from coming georgia i believe something like that you know just a very i believe what i read was like a very racist county in georgia um but yeah so he he did pick her which at the time to me felt very obvious because chris harrison came out to bat for her so hard which to me i was like why why do you need to defend this person's racist behavior unless you're trying to protect the brand at some point? Right.

That is why Chris Harrison's not on the show right now is because he came out and was like, really, you guys? I mean, think about it. It was 2018, guys. That's like, really? We're going to judge someone's behavior from months ago? 2018 was an incredibly racist time. It was basically the old South.

I'm not racist anymore or whatever the fuck he said. He's undergoing the Papa John's treatment. Yeah. Where he practices not saying that word every

day for 17 months yeah um so emmanuel ocho i hope i'm saying his last name right ocho he was the uh takeover host who i think he did a great job and if you don't know him he is the author of he's a former football player and author of uncomfortable conversations with black men um i thought i thought he did a great job in the sense like it's not that he was like oh oh how great we have a person of color finally here it's more like it seemed like he really prepared for this job like he actually it's how it felt like he had studied the cadence of how chris harrison talks to like you know just try and keep the show as you know in line with how it used to be but at the same time actually acknowledging the race conversations that needed to be had so i thought he did a good

job of being like hey guys uh i know you're all white watching this but we need to have these uncomfortable conversations and I don't know they address a lot where it's like I have to speak a certain way so you guys aren't scared of me a black man you know and so I thought that was great and he made Matt talk about that a lot and how you know they have to present themselves to society because we are a racist country so yeah so he did a great job and what we learned basically

is that matt at first thought all this stuff coming out about rachel were rumors but then he just really started looking into it and thus that led to their breakup she at the time was like said that she was blindsided by the breakup like shocked like wait what but babe racist i love you so um miles's reaction you just look wow i mean you're blind okay i mean that's i have what a world of comfort to live in when you're blindsided. Blindsided might be the new, first of all, there's the problematic movie Blindside. Then the queen said she was blindsided by Meghan Markle.

But we don't know if that's true. We don't know if the queen said that? Yeah, it kind of felt like the firm may have said it that way. But still it's being used. The word. Yeah, so you know, and then she's Right, right, right. But still it's being used. The word. The word.

Yeah. Yeah, so, you know, and then she's like, but then I realized like how hurt he was. It was just kind of like, okay. She had, she had all, let me just say, she had all the perfect talking points. She was like, I will not sit here and victimize myself. Okay. There is no excuse for what I've done. You know, like she, she was very like, I was just ignorant. I did not know. I did not know.

I did not think about it. And they were like, were you worried that these photos would come out? She's like, no, I didn't think. At the time, I was like, that's just me and my friends taking a photo at a party. Like I just, nothing occurred to her at all. Like she was just like, I'm not racist. Sure. But I've taken part in a lot of racially insensitive behavior.

I mean, I hope that she did learn something because that's the evolution you hope people can have. Like, you don't want to just be like, OK, racists are going to be racist forever. Like, we want to be like, can you? So you get that. Are you ready to fucking like kick that shit in the ass next time you see it, though? Or are you just doing this because you don't want to fuck up any deals? It definitely sounds like she's learning. I hope it continues because it sound it the interaction between matt and rachel when they were both out was so deeply uncomfortable like he couldn't really talk to her

right and she was just like i'm sorry and crying and being like i don't know if i can love anyone like i loved you loki and then you know manuel was like is there any chance and he was just kind of like i can't help you do the work you need to do like you need to figure he was basically you need to figure your shit out right because this is fucked up because matt is perfect what's that because matt is perfect yeah well you know whatever but he just seemed like shit honestly he seemed shook and let me just say, I called that beard, bitches. Okay. That's a breakup beard.

it literally ended on them just sitting awkwardly together and Emmanuel being like, all right, that's all the time we have. It looks like you guys can't talk because this is a fucking horrendous situation to be in. And that's that. And then they did end up announcing two bachelorettes, which is not normal for this show. They usually only have one bachelorette. So Katie, the girl who brought the vibrator, is one of the Bachelorettes. And then Michelle, Matt's runner-up,

is another Bachelorette. They're going to do Katie's season first. They're going to do Bachelor in Paradise after that. And then they're going to do Michelle's season. But you know, it's so transparent knowing why there was two, right? Because there's normally one, but they're like, okay, the next one it's so transparent knowing why there was two. Right. Because there's normally one.

But they're like, OK, the next one's white. But here's the deal. We asked the black woman to do it. But she actually gives a fuck about her career as a teacher. Like she's she's teaching the youth and she only agreed to do it in the summer. So when the summer comes, best believe we will do that one. That's a make good for having vibrator Katie be the next bachelor off the heels of this really, this racist fuckery that we saw in this last season. Well, here's my theory.

So, and to give a kind of like a political analysis or not analysis, but comparison on this show. Um, so Katie, Katie is who is reminiscent a lot of Caitlin, a former bachelorette who everyone was like, she's so fun.

She's so quirky. She's so just like, she's just fun she's so quirky she's so just like she's just a good time girl she's just like just a good person everyone loved caitlyn as the bachelorette so to them putting caitlyn in they want they want it to be like let's get joe biden in okay and things will go back to the status quo no one will notice that you know racism exists income inequality people are dying on the streets because then we have a good democrat in office that's what they were trying to do with katie in my opinion they're trying to get back to the status quo like guys it's a lovable fun quirky white girl remember remember that's a weird and then you know everyone was like

no bitch we what we have eyes and ears we just witnessed some real truly messed up television where you guys are clearly incapable of dealing with what's the issues in front of you so they were like okay well uh shit, the rumors are out. Oh, reality, Steve, God damn it, you told them. Michelle? And she was like,

yeah, like you said, I have a career. I'm a teacher. I really can't leave. Summer vacay is the only time I can film. So now we have two bachelorettes. We'll get it.

They're like, we were going to do that the whole time. They will allow us to compete. Yeah, we'll see how it goes. Well, I mean, let's just hope they hire behind the scenes because that's what they really need is more people of color behind the scenes who could be like, this ain't it.

You really shouldn't have brought his dad back. Yeah, to like sound an alarm. To make him be like, why weren't you there for me? Out of touch alert. Out of touch alert. This is not your wheelhouse. Don't try and wade into this conversation if you don't have the... Oh, here we go. But yeah.
