Freight O one.
I've heard of Frito pie, but Frito one?
I don't know.
Is that something?
No, not yet.
No, not quite.
Free, free, heard of Frito.
Nah, fuck it.
I'm going to be workshopping it, all right?
I'll be over here workshopping that one.
You guys do the show.
Frito pie.
Free, free, but freighto one?
I don't.
I don't,
I don't know what you're trying to do.
You know what I'm out of here.
What are you trying to do?
Let me in on the process and then I can help.
He can't be helped.
He cannot be helped.
Fucked.
Is the free the pun?
What are we doing?
Free to pie, free two one.
Free two.
Oh, free to pie, free to one.
Free to one.
Okay.
Free to pie.
I thought it was for the only fans freaks.
That's what I thought you were doing.
That's nasty. A to pie?
A toe pie?
A toe pie.
Someone's paying their mortgage with to pie.
They got free to pie picks over there.
For sure.
Yeah, yeah.
Pit picks.
I wish I did feed stuff.
You refuse?
I think my feet are nice.
I think my toes are suspicious.
Do you know what I mean?
Like, I think my feet are soft, but my toes?
Do you have toes to make people suspicious?
I don't know.
Or they go, he got fake toes.
I have had a guy be like, years ago, I had a guy being like, I love toes.
And I was like, you're not going to like mine.
He's not going to like these.
And he's like, yes, I will.
And I was like, you're not.
Okay, here you go.
And he looked at them and he was like, you're right.
No.
No, they're, no, they're good.
They're good.
Oh, no.
And I was like I told you.
What could possibly be up with your toe?
Is it you got, you got short toes, you got really long toes.
It looks like a ring of toes personally.
I was.
I don't know.
I just don't think they're not beauty queens.
They're not hideous.
I clean them.
I scrub them.
But they're just not beauty queens.
They're not like,
you know,
some people's toes are like really uniform.
I can't say that about my toes.
They're not uniform.
They're like doing jazz.
They're doing a lot of different things.
I think I've,
I've broken both pinky toes and they've just fused,
like, without much flexion in them from like that.
Fused together?
No, like, you know, like how.
Like Shaq's wrists kind of like didn't have as much give to it.
I got one toe that's just like just stiff.
Don't do it much.
It's just balancing.
Interesting.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
A little odd shape, but I still like my toes.
And you know what, Mano?
I bet you have beautiful toes.
And I wouldn't say that.
If you show them to me, I go, hell yeah, Mono, yeah, fuck with them toes.
You know when like a Looney Tune swallows dynamite and then like their teeth explode and they look
like broken piano keys?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's what your toes look like?
Yeah, man.
Let's just say.
Yeah.
I tried to kick a firework at an inopportune time.
Yeah.
Ready to be jealous?
Look at my Japanese snacks.
Wow.
Do you remember these from the before time?
You got Amid.
What?
Amidjaga.
They're so good.
Yeah.
Umazia.
Oh, that's just a straight up flavor.
That's like flavor salt.
Favor salt, yeah.
Yeah.
But the shape is the trick.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's at, you know, these little, those little perfect waffle shapes.
Oh, yeah.
Exactly.
Man, Japanese chips are so fucking good.
It's just, it's just MSG.
That's really what it is.
It's the secret.
It's delicious and it's not bad for you.
And it's not bad for you.
Why are these snacks so good?
It's because you live in a racist country that says MSG is the secret ingredient
that's making their dang food so tasty.
How do we fucking, how do we get them to play fair?
It's salt.
It's salt.
It's salt.
salt is salt is salt you know this your listeners know this yeah no i think that was like one of the very
very early story we did in the show talking about like msg
msg panic being like a racist response to chinese food taking off in the u.s and being like
damn it okay well then you have to vilify their ingredients right and then like the american
food companies you just either use msg or they gave it a slightly different name which you know
the food companies love to do like and even then it ain't hitting the same
They just call it flavor salt, as opposed to road salt.
They do it at Popeyes, Cajun Sparkle.
Is that what they call it?
Yeah, yeah, that's shit that they got there.
That's straight up MSG.
Yeah.
Delicious.
Cajun Sparkle is doing jazz hands.
Oh, yeah.
Like Monos toast.
Oh, yeah.
My feet are constantly in a state of moving, like even when still.
They're slithering around.
I'm disgusting myself.
I'm sicking myself out.
Like it's rolling a coin.
I'm just trying to like picture.
Like a 20s gangster.
Yeah.
He's doing sleight of hand card tricks with it.
They're steepled together.
That sucks.
Is this your driver's license?
God damn.
With your toes.

Hello, the internet, and welcome to season 454, episode three of Dirtaley Zykeyes!
A production of IHeartRadio.
This is a podcast where we take a deep dive into America's shared consciousness through the day's news.
We also have a new, non-news, history version of TDZ, drive at each Monday morning, called the iconograph, where we do a deep dive into the zeitgeist with a lens of a different icon.
We have recently rerun Dali Parton.
we recently did Madonna
and then we just dropped Garfield
on all your asses.
Garf.
Wayne and Garf.
John and Garf.
Hell yeah.
Don't forget Odie.
Yeah.
You know.
Wow.
I'm going to say the episode was a little light on Odie and I apologize.
Because you sent him to Abu Dhabi like Garfield loves to do.
Yeah, exactly.
Nothing normal about that.
Nothing normal.
You know, so I developed a loose thing.
theory that Jim Davis actually hates Garfield.
Like he, when he made the strip, it was called John.
And it was supposed to be about John Arbuckle.
And then like he, Jim Davis has multiple cats.
None of them named Garfield, but one of them is named Nirmal.
I was like, God damn, man.
So I have a theory that like Garfield almost emerged from his unconscious like a, like, you know,
when somebody conjures something via Ouija board and like, they're like, fuck, something has
something has come out and like I can't get it to go back in like I feel like that's what
Garfield is Garfield is Jim Davis as Tyler Durden yeah exactly oh my god and he like can't stop
it's John's Tyler Durden yeah but he is John am I like you get like his interaction his
chemistry with people throughout his life like with Charles Schultz the creator of
peanut like his chemistry with everyone is he is John and
They are Garfield.
Like everybody's always shitting on him and he's just like,
I love you anyways, man.
Great word, man.
Thanks for talking.
Yeah.
Anyways.
John is Glinda.
John is Glinda.
Exactly.
Phil's Elfaba and there are two sides of the same person.
Kind of.
Wow.
Wow.
It's hard to say.
Wow.
But anyways.
You can find out more about that on the icon episode.
My name is Jack.
Oh, wait, we haven't done the date.
Yeah.
It's Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026.
Yeah, not a lot going on today.
It's National Blueberry Popsicle Day and World Coconut Day.
Boom.
Okay.
Yeah.
I don't think I've ever had a Blue Great Popsicle.
Shout out to the beautiful, humble coconut.
Yeah.
One of the greats.
One of the great bras.
One of the great foods.
Yeah.
I'm one of the great fillings for candy bars, in my humble opinion.
Not everybody's.
but what the fuck is the blueberry like blueberries are never popsicles that's not
never heard of it never heard for it never heard of it never heard of it yep i've had a like a blue
razz popsicle but it wasn't a blueberry popsicle only i've ever heard of a blueberry popsicle
ever in my life never had shout out to but you know what that's what the lobbyists who put their
money on these National Day calendar websites.
Right.
You've done it because now, guess what?
We're talking about a thing that we'll still never eat.
Do you think this is a move to like cover the sort of the PR disaster of glass in the outshine
popsicles?
Do you remember that recent?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, and also right now, berries are just a lot of people are, there's a lot of scrutiny
on berries and like how shitty they are and how blueberries were killing people.
Yep.
Yep, they're out here.
Yeah, so this is their attempt.
This is like them going undercover, like Whitey Bulger in Santa Monica.
Like, what if we were popsicles?
What about that?
Anyways, my name is Jack O'Brien, A.K., there is a house in Kentucky.
They call New Orleans House.
You can eat your fill of frog legs, I'm told.
I went and they were out.
That one, courtesy of Bonnie I Rake.
in the Discord
New Orleans House
New Orleans
That ad was fucking sexy
The All You Can Eat Buffet of New Orleans
What about
What if I told you there was an upscale
All You Can Eat buffet
In Lexington, Kentucky?
Yes, in Lexington, Kentucky
Go on
What if I told you
They had a lobster
On the logo
There wasn't lobster on the menu
But there is a lobster
On the logo
Implying something
a little bit.
Anyways,
shout out to New Orleans House.
Shout out to my good friend.
Matt Sawyer,
who as a 14 and 15-year-old
was so excited about New Orleans House
that he got me excited.
It was the holy grail of places to go out to eat.
And we went.
That was,
I had the thing like that with Amici's pizza
because I remember going to a sleep-up
because my mom,
my parents were never really ordering fast,
like pizza ever.
So, like, when I had those experiences,
outside of like my like my house at like the white kids houses to like we're having a meat cheese pizza
whoa we just had cheese pizza but i misheard them as saying a meat cheese pizza yeah and i was like
this is crazy bro like they got the meat in here but you don't even know and i kept telling you
my parents i'm like i need a meat cheese i need a meat cheese pizza and my mom bless her heart with her
accent was calling around and they were like lady i don't know what the fuck you're talking about
They're like, you mean pepperoni?
You mean sausage?
No, no.
It's called a meat cheese and the meat is hidden.
You don't have it.
Oh, no.
It is so funny.
And then I remember seeing it like on the menu at my friends with the next time and I was like, oh, fuck, I'm an idiot.
And I completely just screamed at my mom as an 11 year old for not finding it.
What is happening here?
He's my meat cheese.
Have y'all eaten at chain restaurant yet?
I just ate chain restaurant.
Sorry, this is on my brain now.
It's like we as adults are trying to recreate the magic of those fast food moments as kids.
How was it?
How was it?
It was great.
It was awesome.
It was delicious.
Like, you know, if you don't know, chain restaurant does this weird thing where they're like elevating, you know, fast food foods.
Old favorites.
I had a Mapo tofu crunch wrap Supreme.
Do you know what I'm saying?
Wow.
What?
You know what I'm fucking saying?
Are you fucking delicious.
It was so good.
It was go.
But it is in the Topanga Mall.
So it's very far.
It's very, I mean, there's one in Hollywood as well.
But this one was in Topangama.
Go to Topanga Mall.
Topangamall is worth going to.
No, it's fun.
It's a valley staple.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
So whatever.
They have the whole, like, all of the desserts are cereal themed.
So it was like cinnamon toast, crunch, tiramisu, um, Reese's puffs, churros,
Lucky Charms, Chaco, Taco, it was nuts.
It was nuts.
It was delicious.
Is chain restaurant a chain of restaurant?
Or is it just, no, it's like something, I think BJ Novak's behind, right?
PJ Novak was there, just kind of walking around.
He was funny.
He was there.
Inspecting the different table.
I think it was like sort of like an opening night thing.
So like there was a lot of like, there was a lot of, I mean, I'm lucky because a friend
brought me.
But like, yeah, like there was a lot of people, what was infuriating, there was people like
getting the food and then doing social media videos for it and then not eating the food.
I know.
I saw that recently with some recent Starbucks unicorn frap that came out where people were just inundating the place with orders, just taking their fucking photo.
And someone was taking a picture of the trash can.
Yeah, I saw that.
Just filled with discarded fucking drinks.
If you're like, okay, I got my content.
Peace.
U.
U.
Man, I can't wait to eat those.
All right, better end the video before I take a single bite.
The Rock lies about his cheat days?
That's a theory.
That was a theory we had.
Wow.
I felt like he didn't really know what he was eating either.
Wow.
It's like, oh, man, I can't wait to cut those up and put those in my mouth with a fork.
And masticate.
Yeah.
Masticate.
What the fuck?
Ingest and then metabolize.
Yes, indeed.
All right.
I'm thrilled to be joined as always by.
my co-host, Mr. Miles Gray.
It's Miles Gray, aka.
I heard there was a funny sound,
and my teachers it would confound.
They don't really like farts, but do you?
It starts like this, a toot, a poot, maybe one that sounds like a flute.
It's just that sound of gases passing through you.
Wow.
Passing through you, passing through you.
Shout out to Hentron Zero.
Hentron again, the Hennessee powered robot that goes to parties.
I still believe that's what Hentron Zero is.
Thank you for that, hallelujah, fart-based, AKA.
Because, yes, that was me.
Oh, yeah.
That's amazing.
You would have been the star of the fart corner.
That's amazing.
I would have been like a Richard Pryor special.
It would have been iconic.
They'd be like, oh, shit, the leather suits.
special when he was in the leather suit,
Fardonnoy?
That was it?
Coming in a full red leather suit.
And just like,
because it's just enhancing the fart sounds in my left.
I like that a lot better.
The one time I,
I wrote for the gay porn awards.
Uh-huh.
Hilarious.
I mean,
800 funny.
I'd actually did twice.
Huge mistake both times.
Really?
And the host
sang a parody of Hallelujah
called How I Bleuja.
Wow.
And did you write that or no?
No, I can't take credit for that.
I can't take credit for Howie Bleuya.
But yeah, I was it in a mistake.
I feel like that would have been great,
but they just like didn't have a good sense of humor about it?
Oh, no, I mean, it was just a disaster.
This was like during the COVID years.
And there were adult actors who had been like tested.
We tested everyone for COVID.
And then we were like, great, you've all been tested for COVID.
And then at one point, people were collaborating.
in the bathroom
and I was tasked with going
into the bathroom to be like,
hey guys, you cannot do this.
Wow.
Because this is,
we've all been cold to test it.
That's not your job.
I know,
but it was that kind of vibe
of like,
all hands on deck.
And they were like,
what are you talking about?
We tested negative.
And I was like,
I know,
but you can't do content now.
To be fair,
the porn industry is not that acclimated
to like having writers.
That part.
I don't know, what do you do?
Do you go and break people up fucking in the bathroom?
We're not exactly sure what writers do.
It's a disaster, but fun stories.
Hey, that third voice you've been hearing.
So when we're thrilled to be joined by a hilarious actor, writer, improviser, podcaster,
who hosts the hilarious podcast.
We Love Trash on Patreon.
You've seen him retelling the story of the famous poodle masterpiece on drunk history,
on the TV show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, one of Google's top.
suggestions when you put in his name is Mano Agapian boyfriend, so you know he's hot.
Please welcome back to the show.
Mono Agapio!
Mano!
Boyfriend, that's really funny.
Hi, everyone.
Hi.
Hello, Mono.
I'm so thrilled to be back.
Thank you for having me.
We're thrilled to have you here.
We are going to continue to get to know you a little bit better.
Please.
First, we're going to tell the listeners a couple of things we're talking about.
We've got a postal service whistleblower who has revealed what the upcoming elections may look like.
It's bad.
It's bad.
We'll talk about a new awesome CEO just dropped.
So we'll talk about him from Morgan and Morgan.
Morgan and Morgan.
America's largest injury law firm.
Honestly, there's a very good chance most people are familiar with Morgan and Morgan because they're everyone.
Yeah, they're kind of the main one.
We'll talk about Nick, Nick Adams, who is one of the great generators of scenes replete with dialogue that he claims happened that 100% didn't happen.
So we're going to read another one of those.
All of that, plenty more.
But first, Mono, we do like to ask our guests, what is something from your search history that's revealing about who you are?
Ooh, yeah.
Okay, I looked this up.
I recently was, I'm writing something about which.
And I recently was researching the witch of Pungo.
Okay.
So it's a place in Virginia.
Her name is Grace Sherwood.
And she's basically a witch.
It's really funny.
It's like she's so famous that like there's like a statue of her and Virginia Beach somewhere.
And she basically was a witch that was taken to trial like six different times.
and then like proved innocent, sick different times.
Like, and everyone in town was like, my crops died.
It's grace.
And she'd be like, fuck, okay, let's go to trial.
And she would go to trial, but like, I, I, there's no evidence.
They were great.
And then someone would be like, my cat's lost.
It was grace.
Like, literally everyone in town kept taking her to trial and she kept counter suing and
kept getting off, but her whole life was consumed with witch trials.
until they eventually got her.
They got her.
They put her in the water.
Oh, no.
They put her in the water.
But it's a fascinating story.
And I've just been like, poor fucking Grace.
Send Grace from 1688.
Like, send one up to Grace.
I know.
God, I could just hear this playing in her month.
I thought this was America, people.
Grace, not a witch, not guilty.
Wow.
Yeah.
Fucking six times.
is so wild.
Murder was the child that they gave her.
Yeah. Wow.
Just, well, shout out to the Witchapongo.
Witchapongo. We love her.
We love her. That's what it's been in my search history.
Are you a witch fan generally or?
Yeah, yeah. I'm pretty excited.
You said that as if you're concerned.
Are you, is everything okay, Mono?
Love, no, I love witches.
Yeah, I'm excited.
Are they real?
That is a great question.
I am a skeptic.
Like, well, but you know what I say?
I was like, I'm an empathic skeptic.
Like, I'm always like, no.
And then like a ghost reveals itself to me.
Do you know what I mean?
And I'm like, no, I'm not interested.
And then like a curse happens.
I just kind of feel like I don't believe it.
And then the universe keeps like trying to show me stuff.
Pulling you back in.
Does that you ever feel?
How do you feel?
Do you believe in my tears or no?
I don't, probably not.
But I'm a fan of their work.
I'm a fan of their vibe.
Yeah.
And I'm a believer that sometimes a vibe can be so overpowering that it does become a thing.
Yeah.
I'm not going to say nothing about witches right now.
That part, right?
Because you don't want to be proven right or wrong.
I love them.
Yeah, yeah.
Wait, I love witches, too.
I love them.
Love them, love them.
I have a famous, hex on my witches.
Hexon.
We have an 11-foot witch flag on a broomstick that is at a rowy decoration.
And it's known, like I, with.
during the dead of summer, this summer, you know, windows open because it's hot out,
and hearing people walk by, be like, they have a big witch for, like, talking to their kids about,
like, this house has a good witch when Halloween time rolls around.
You must have loved hearing that.
Oh, Miles.
You have not, like, I mean, to the point that I'm now talking about it, like three months after it happened.
So, yeah.
Wow.
I would say I liked it.
You ran out into the street.
You're like, oh, hey, you're talking about this house?
Yeah, we got the witch.
Sure do.
So you notice.
Sure do.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It'll be out soon.
Don't worry.
Don't worry.
That's really fucking funny.
Catch up to them.
Like out of breath being like, couldn't help but hear you talking about the witch.
Wait, that was last week.
Are you talking about?
It's actually the witch with Pongo.
She has a crazy backstory.
Yeah.
Look at six times.
Yeah, man.
This is good.
We're keeping her name alive.
We're keeping her memory.
We're keeping the witch is happy.
And I bet Zite Gang, I know there's Virginia.
Tell us you know about the Wichapungo.
Please write in.
Please tell us about what you know about the Wichapungo.
It's a huge story.
I'm probably missing some details.
I mean, there's books and shit like that, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Mauna, what is something you think is underrated?
Ooh, I wrote this down.
What did I write that's under?
Oh, barcades.
Barcades.
I just went to one for my birthday.
Barcades, Saturdays.
Um, barcades, I love them.
I went to the barcade in Highland Park over here.
It's so fucking fun.
So fantastic.
Highland Park is like land of barcades and like fun bowling alleys.
And that part.
Yeah.
It's like a great place for people to go for date night.
Yeah.
Oh man.
Yeah, there's some good stuff here.
You got, you got to go to barcades.
You got to go eat at Mala class.
Mala class is this awesome new restaurant that's delicious.
You got to go to Mokja.
Mokja is this new.
Korean. Have you been?
No, but I've heard about it.
Oh, my God. It's so good. I want a gatekeep, but I shan't because I want them to succeed.
They have a jammy egg, egg salad sandwich.
Jammy egg, egg salad sandwich.
And they have a Korean take on a BLT that's like a pork belly sandwich on kimchi sourdough.
It is so good.
The thing that I want, there's a ox tail like hand pie, like a meat pie that I
I keep seeing and I'm like,
what the fuck?
Give it to me now.
Yeah.
Is there a game you play at the barcade?
My favorite is Tapper.
Do you guys remember Tapper?
It's like a beer.
The one or you're Jacob Tapper and you're talking about you're seeing it.
Damn,
I like the full use of the name Jacob.
Too scary.
Jacob Tapper, you get over here.
It's an 80s game.
Look it up.
It's an 80s game.
And I think it's like sponsored by Budweiser.
And there's a fun little,
You tap and slide beers to people on the counters.
Oh, yeah, okay.
It is so fun.
It's so easy.
It only costs one token.
And I just love it.
I love it because it has a unique joystick.
You know what I mean?
Like the joystick is, you know, it's like a little, whatever, what those little keg pole things look like.
Yeah, yeah, a tap, a spigot pull, a beer tap pole, whatever.
Yeah.
Beer tap, you don't know.
Whoever's listening knows.
I don't.
Beer switch.
Beer switch.
Thank you.
On off.
But that's my favorite right now.
I don't know, just like a good old-fashioned old-school game.
Hell yeah.
Do you think you get close to setting a high score or no?
No, I suck at it.
But you know what else?
You know what I did beat?
Have you ever played the Japanese game Bishi Bashi?
No.
Bishibashi is a fan-tastic game.
It's like a game of mini-games.
And that rocks.
Oh, I've seen this machine.
Okay, yeah.
No, I've never played this one.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It is awesome.
We played that one.
That one's a big hit.
Go to Barcade to play that.
But yeah, it's like a fun game where it's a,
mini game game.
Yeah,
yeah,
yeah.
Yeah,
easy.
It doesn't take a lot
of skill.
Just gotta,
just need enthusiasm.
They also have
a Japanese game
there where you have to
flip a table in anger.
Yeah,
yeah, yeah,
yeah.
And like,
it's like the angry dad game,
right?
We're like,
first you pound it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And you have to flip it
the most angrily.
That was a hit.
So,
yeah.
Wait,
what does that even look like?
It looks like it has like a little
edge of a table?
Yeah,
has a miniature round table
like at like sort of hip height
that you do all your,
bashing and pushing.
Does it actually flip?
Does it actually give?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's like, it's so fun.
And there's different scenarios.
You're going to be like, a bride who's, who's mad that her wedding was ruined or yeah, like a dad at dinner.
Like, there's a couple scenarios you get to play through.
Game of toxic masculinity.
Yeah.
And toxic femininity.
Yeah.
Bridezilla.
You get to be a bridezilla.
No, yeah.
So, yeah.
Barcades, man.
How do you all?
feel about barcades.
I love it.
They're a lot of fun.
Although, the thing with me, I'm a game nerd, so I, sometimes the selection isn't to my liking.
And then I remember, I'm not there to be a 12-year-old nerd.
I'm also there to, like, hang out with people.
But yeah, I do.
I enjoy a barcades.
And I'm not a game nerd, so I just go.
And I'm like, oh, my God, look at what they can do.
That's what I love about it, too, right?
I invited people for my birthday, and it was just fun to be like, play or don't play, drink
or eat something.
I don't give a shit.
Just do what you want.
They have Michael Jackson's Moonwalker.
Wow.
Oh, that game, damn.
It's so fun.
And we played and he heed the whole time.
We were just screaming, he-his, and Chachapit Chirpahs.
When he, like, does a kick that kills whatever is coming at him, does it always go, he-he-he?
Like, every single time.
The two buttons are shoot and dance.
Uh-huh.
And when you do a dance, it is so funny.
All the enemies on screen dance with you and then vaporize.
It's so crazy.
It's so scary.
Jimo.
Chop.
It's questionable, but it's fun time.
What is something you think is overrated, Mono?
Oh, I wrote this down too.
What is overrated?
Oh, God.
Can we get rid of the popcorn collectible trend?
Like the whole thing where it's like, come to AMC and get fucking...
I just saw one for insidious, and it literally said,
lipstick face demon popcorn receptacle.
I was like, what?
And it looks like shit.
It clearly was like,
it looks like an Ed Asner plastic mold
that they painted red and black
to look like the insidious demon.
I hate the popcorn collectible thing.
And I hate that they're like $50 for like a two penny piece of plastic.
Get rid of that trend now.
Right.
Oof.
Hate it.
This one looks specifically like it was designed to.
They are always like, okay, we're going to make this.
And partially we're doing it to like get hype for the movie.
And partially we're hoping that people will start talking about how they want to fuck it on the internet.
Yes, yes, yes.
Because that is like partially how it trends.
It's kind of an open mouth.
Yeah, the insidious bucket has like a mouth.
It looks so bad.
Can you see that?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It looks like Darth Mall looking at himself in a mirror during an acid trip.
Honestly.
And he's like, yeah.
What if I look like this?
And I bet it was the same mold.
I think it's, it might even be the same as the Vin Diesel mold.
Like it is just like they just paint it.
I hate it.
I hate that trend.
And I hate that people will pay a stupid amount for, it's just to me, it's a form of cap.
It's a little too much late stage capitalism.
We got to stop it, y'all.
Yeah.
I mean, what started as a bit of being like, whoa, you can fuck this.
dune bucket.
Yes.
Then became, they're like, oh, shit, people are buying these goofy-ass plastic buckets.
Mm-hmm.
And it is also one of those things that I was, like, rooting for because I'm like, well,
I want movies to still be a thing, and I'm told that this is helpful.
Right.
Right.
But I do feel like now that we've had the summer of the Odyssey and, like, everything just
like breaking record, like the new Spider-Man being the most popular movie of all time,
we can maybe take our foot off the gas a little bit and be like, all right, guys, that was fun.
I know.
Maybe let's go back to just enjoying movies and not having to have conversations about which popcorn bucket we want to fuck.
Totally.
These things will keep us warm in the nuclear apocalypse.
When you cover yourself in all your plastic popcorn buckets, you won't regret it.
Yeah.
Or we'll just be putting them on our heads as we're like locked in a little bunker together.
They're completely lost our minds.
Yeah.
Hypothetically, okay, is there one?
And I'll give an example.
Like, if they released one that's like Romine Michelle 2, Romie Michelle bucket.
Oh, fuck.
Post-it note dispenser bucket.
Fuck.
If there's one for the new Romney Michelle, you just got me good.
Post-it notes.
Oh, but if there's one for that one, I might, I would be awful tempted.
And that's a hypothetical, you know.
A thing where I would shamelessly still buy merch
would be like if there was like a Big Lobowski one maybe
because I used to have like this special edition
Bowling Ball version.
Oh, that's fun actually.
That's a special edition of Big Lobosky DVD I have.
Yeah.
That maybe.
But even then like a giant white Russian.
What do we think?
Would it be the, I don't even know, dude.
Maybe it could be the notebook where Jackie Treehorn draws the guy with the big
dick on it.
It could be his hair clip.
That's so like it could be his jelly.
sandals that you eat out of? I don't know.
But at the end of the day, I don't know if
there really is. I know what it is. It's the coffee
cup with Steve Bouchemies remains in it.
Oh, the coffee
the you ban can. That would be
awesome. That would be a lot of fun.
It would be fucking awesome.
Every time you open it, it blows,
the popcorn blows out in your face.
Oh, that is so funny.
If they pulverize the popcorn
for you, that would be awesome.
I was a little, so they had
Jaws 50th anniversary shark popcorn bucket.
It was just Jaws' head.
Didn't even look like the shark from Jaws.
And it was just like you open its mouth and there's popcorn inside.
I would have liked it if it was the time where they like go and cut the shark open to see if the Kittner boys in the shark's stomach.
Right.
Oh, yeah.
If that was like you open it and like popcorn spills out instead of blood.
Yes.
Instead of blood.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Both.
Yeah.
In addition to.
Yes.
That could have been fun.
But look, guys, I think we're discovering I have a bit of a gift for coming up with good popcorn bucket ideas.
So this might be my future.
No, this is good.
Yeah, we're writing a perfect sketch.
Have they already done the sketch that's like popcorn collectibles for like Oscar winning movies?
Have they already done that?
No, definitely.
Yeah.
It writes itself.
Open your ears up.
SNL take it.
It's yours.
Amazing.
Let's take a quick break.
And we'll be right back.
Behind every night spent making the kids' lunches, there's a lot of suspense.
Will they finally eat the veggies?
Will the pasto survive the first bite?
Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full, or come home at all?
And will you finish episode 8 before you're done slicing the cucumbers?

When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and held captive for nine months.
I survived, and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them.
I'm Elizabeth Smart, and these are the Survivor Files.
I just remember this low, taunting voice next to my ear saying, shut up, don't say anything.
Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable.
I knew if he woke up, without a doubt, he was going to hurt me.
I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed, and I just started screaming.
They are abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced.
But these aren't stories about what's taken from them.
There's stories about what it takes to make it out alive.

On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman.
I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle.
I chose option B.
I'm Julie Pinero, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without
asking anyone else first.
I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility.
Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people, and they were like, you smiled at us.
Not a lot of people smile around here.
It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is and not the lies you're sold about it.
It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind, or wake up to a new version of yourself.
So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip,
I hope you listen to Solita on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you're a solo.

Hey, this is Hayes Davenport.
And Sean Clements.
We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook
on the Big Money Players Network.
Our show is extremely accessible
to first-time listeners.
Each week, we talk to someone in show business,
aka the biz,
and try to help them with their careers
and see what they have to offer us.
Everyone has a good time,
and no one gets mad at their publicists
for letting them do our show.
We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman.
Not that great.
Actually, can you help me shape this?
How about we flip it on his head?
How about we flip this script?
What is the surprise woman?
Actually, you think is the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird.
Adam Scott, this entire time you've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to visit the show.
I would never expect.
I would never set expectations for something like that to happen.
If the universe allows for something like that to happen.
I am open to it.
I'm always going to accept.
You know, Danny McBride, fine.
Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity.
Exuding.
I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you.
I was like, is that weed?
Nope, it's fragile masculinity.
Ben Stiller, no.
Because a lot of times, out of context, people don't get it
or even know what a circle is.
You know what I mean?
They're like, oh, what's a state.
Everyone's so dumb.
And fake.
Right, fake.
And also not interested or just like, oh, I've got my life.
I don't care about your life.
And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us.
Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show
and he wants to be a guest on every episode, but he's just so busy.

And we're back.
We're back.
And we're back.
And, uh, let's talk about the main.
The Postal Service.
We got a whistleblower from the Postal Service.
Toot, to beat, beep.
Yeah.
And that is how they opened to their statement.
Dear Senator Richard Blumenthaled,
uh,
toot,
toot, beep, beep.
Time to blow the whistle on this thing.
Sad girls.
Yeah, we talked about the Supreme Court ruling earlier.
That was very Kafka-esque.
Who is Kafka?
Who is Kafka?
As I said, the day before Tim Curry died.
And that was a reference to the movie Congo,
which Tim Curry was also in.
But at the time the Supreme Court ruled that Trump's mail-in ballot scheme was able to move forward
because the states that were suing, they couldn't quite prove any damages yet.
So they said this is actually too soon.
Too soon.
But they also didn't say whether or not this scheme was legal.
They were just like, well, first of all, we're not saying this is legal, but go ahead.
You haven't been hurt yet.
Yeah.
So, yeah.
But I know I will be.
well, and even then it could be too late when you sue then.
So you're kind of just going to have to let this guy meddle in the midterm.
So a whistleblower within the Postal Service has revealed that this whole operation, obviously, it's not about ballot security.
And from their perspective, this is all just a scheme to make mail-in ballots completely unusable.
This is just, this is from the Guardian.
Quote, the snail mail carrier has been building an entirely new federal ballot mail portal since June, months before the service was permitted to move
forward with the executive order. The portal will screen all incoming ballots, but its development
has been rushed and, quote, risky as a service tried to meet, quote, impossible deadlines.
For instance, the agency has eliminated testing procedures for the platform, a risk that could
potentially derail the midterm elections, according to the whistleblower. And this is one of the officials,
quote, potentially millions of American voters may not receive their mail-in ballots this
election cycle in a timely matter or at all.
So, I mean, this is always the fear with anything Trump was going to do with mail-in ballots, like that the end game was just about negating them as a source of votes that could threaten his power.
So Trump's solution to that issue, that inconvenience is just to create a system so poorly designed that it throws the entire election into chaos in terms of mail-in ballots.
So it's specifically the mail-in ballots are going to be fucked this election.
Definitely found a way to metal and muck.
via this portal. So like they're saying, first of all, like this whole thing was rushed.
They would, they think a thing like this would take at least a year to do, but they've just
rammed it through in like six, just under six months. And they're saying, and even if you
were to do everything, right, make sure your registrations, right, and things like that,
the post office might not even get you your mail-in ballot in, like in time, because the system
is designed to not make the process efficient or even safe because it has a zero percent failure
rate. So this is from the whistleblower quote. For example, if a state election official brings a batch of
10,000 ballots to the United States Postal Service and the USPS is unable to match just one of those
ballots against the portal because, for example, someone has recently changed their name after marriage or they've moved,
then the United States Postal Service would refuse to mail the remaining 9,999 ballots as well.
UPS would then expect the state to, quote, take back the entire, take back the entire,
take back the entire back to cure the issue with the single ballot.
That sounds very complicated.
Damn.
Intentionally so.
And like, also just impossible.
Like, it will be essentially impossible to vote by mail.
That sounds like if, is there any hope that this like, that something stops this?
Or is this just like they're saying this is the way it is?
Right now, the postal service hasn't said anything.
This is a whistleblower who reached out to Senator Blumenthal and was like,
hey, I need your help. This is what's going on. So he is now, you know, out here getting the word out
that this is in process. I'm not sure what exactly the next legal step is here or what exactly
is going to happen or if they will follow through. I'm sure Trump wants to because the way it sounds,
a completely fucked up portal that can, that just mucks up the process of sending ballots out is exactly what he wants.
But yeah, as Blumenthal said on Monday quote, the main takeaway for me is that the Postal Service
has designed a system to disenfranchise millions of Americans.
One third of all Americans cast their ballots by mail,
and the Postal Service puts all of their votes at risk.
Right.
And it's way more, like, I've heard people be like,
well, this could actually be bad for Republicans too,
because they're, you know, rural voters also count on mail and ballots.
But I think it's like 50-something percent of Democratic voters vote by mail
and only like 20-something of Republican voters vote them.
So if they,
They are like, no, we're all good here.
People vote by mail as usual.
And then the votes are just invalidated.
If they're coming in over the mail, then like, yeah, he would just be winning the election.
Yeah.
So right now, I know the Senator Blumenthal basically told the postmaster general David Steiner that he needs to provide documents about the plans to actually look at them first.
But, yeah, I mean, you got two months until the midterms.
So, yeah.
Who knows?
Where this goes.
Yeah.
That's plenty of time.
Two months seems fine to suss this all out.
Yeah.
I mean, the plan was to launch it yesterday on September 1st.
For them to launch the portal?
To launch the portal.
But as of now, it has not been launched.
And they're not sure what the plan is as of this recording.
Okay.
So this is going to be a weird winter.
or it's going to be a magical winter.
Yeah, or people are going to have to, I mean, yeah,
I don't know if in the process is like a whole effort to like help people that
need to vote, like, do normally vote by mail to get them a ballot to put that in a ballot,
but like whatever that is.
I mean, it's, it's just causing so much confusion.
And again, this is exactly the point because it was never like,
we're going to win outright.
It's like, we're just going to make it so fucking hard to vote or so chaotic that we either
benefit from the lack of people's ability to vote by.
mail or in the confusion, we can just inject our own weird narrative to say, actually,
this is what's happening.
I mean, look at how much of a mess this whole voting system is.
You'll never have to vote again was what he said when he was running for president last
time.
So it seems like one of those things where we should be taking him at his word.
Yeah.
Seems like.
Damn.
Wow.
Gagged.
Y'all gagged me on that one.
Yeah.
So everyone's just try to vote.
Just try to vote.
Just vote big.
Vote a lot.
If you're planning on voting,
make sure at first your registration
hasn't been totally fucked with
because in Texas a lot of people
are discovering that like their registration
is completely just thrown up into chaos.
Unregistering people.
Yeah.
All right.
We should talk about Nick Adams.
There's an old radio reporter
named Studs Terkel,
which I think is,
Top five names of all time, who used to travel America finding stories in the humble lives of everyday Americans.
And he was kind of lauded for the sort of unmistakable authenticity of the humanity he uncovered.
And this American life and, you know, other others have kind of tried to recapture that glory.
but nobody has quite succeeded until now.
Right.
I mean,
there's a little guy by the name of Nick Adams,
who we've covered before.
I think he said Nick Adams is like Studs Terkel,
the guy who's like wrote the definitive like oral history of the Great Depression.
Yeah, yeah.
So Nick Adams is this Australian guy who moved to America is like high up in the Trump administration doing some made up job.
Or was.
He tried to be a diplomat.
And then that failed.
Right.
So now he's just, he's just screaming on the periphery to be part of the machine again.
Isn't he like something to do with American tourism?
He's like the American tourism.
Yeah, I mean, something.
Yeah.
He just accepted a position very publicly.
Like, I'm just proud to accept.
So we've talked to, we've heard from him before with his man on the street reporting from inside a movie theater showing the Molania documentary, right?
Yeah.
Wasn't that the situation where he.
he was going to see the Melania documentary.
There was a dad with two daughters who...
Allow me, Jack.
This is...
I'm settling in for a showing of Melania,
and the theater is packed.
Earlier, bystander asked if I was heading in to see Avatar,
and I stopped dead in my tracks, Avatar.
Nice, son, I curtly replied.
I don't watch woke movies.
I'm here to see the groundbreaking documentary
about our incredibly talented first lady.
The man's two little girls began jumping up and down, pulling on his sleeve and begging,
Daddy, we want to see Melania.
But, but, he stammered, I thought you girls wanted to see Zootopia too.
No, no, no, they said, now nearly shouting, we want to see Melania.
She's the most beautiful first lady ever.
Their father was scrambling, stressed out and disoriented.
What didn't talk you about?
He said it happened.
He didn't ever happen.
Girls, I'm afraid you aren't the only ones who are captivated by President Trump and his beautiful wife, I said, kneeling to get on their level.
The dialogue crackles with the authenticity of everyday life.
Virtually everyone in this theatre is here for the 7.30 p.m. showing, and it's been sold out for days.
Tears began to well up in their eyes.
Nobody fucking saw this movie.
But I said in a hush tone, I happen to have a few extra tickets with me.
and I'd like you and your dad to have them.
They jumped for joy and began hugging their father.
He looked relieved as he wiped the sweat off his brow with a smile.
I handed him the tickets and pulled him close.
Raise these girls right, I whispered.
Oh my God.
Teach them to be classy, conservative women of faith.
Oh my God.
Don't let them become like Megan Markle.
Capish?
He hugged me and thanked me profusely.
What are you going to do now, he asks.
Don't worry about me, son, I told him with a twinkle in my eye.
I love to call people.
I've already got tickets to the next showing.
Wow.
Otherwise, I'm just going to be standing here in the lobby, creeping people out.
Coming up to little girls in a theater.
This slop, this sort of fairy tale slop that like now has become completely like common in conversations.
It's just mind-boggling.
You mean true stories that actually definitely happens?
That's what I meant.
That's what I meant.
Spiritly told.
So his main thing these days is rage posting about the trial of a mother who, you know,
during a fit of postpartum depression killed her children, a very complicated, sad, nuanced story that he's treating like the trial of the BTK killer.
And any, like, doubt thrown on whether she should herself be murdered in court is, like, proof that America has lost its mind.
But in between that, he came up.
air to tell us about a little something that happened to him the other morning.
He was out for a jog, but he doesn't just jog.
He has, what we're going to later learn in the story is a magical weighted vest.
Yeah, Miles.
Do you want to take us through this story?
Yeah.
And just, you know, the background of this is obviously when Jelly Roll was guest hosting on Kimmel and decided to do, did some jokes about.
that weren't very nice.
Yeah, about Dear Leader.
So that's why Jelly Roll is a topic in this weird reality.
So this is Nick Adams.
He just posted this a few days ago, quote,
I was on a run, parenthetical,
with a whited vest in the park earlier
when I saw a group of Ginzy guys
at the park having a small bonfire.
I overheard them talking about Jelly Roll's
despicable comments on Jimmy Kimball.
No, you didn't.
I just wish you could just be like,
no, the story's over.
That didn't happen.
That didn't happen.
That was the first.
It gets so much better.
I know.
Okay.
Let's go.
Quote,
I was disgusted by Jelly Rolls' divisive comments about the president, one said.
Brough, I love his music.
One of the others replied, tossing what appeared to be a CD into a small fire pit.
But I will never listen to any of it again.
Slowing down, I approached them.
Boys, what's the latest?
I interjected.
Are you trying to keep your heart rate up?
You fucking loser.
I couldn't help but hear you discussing jelly rolls performative leftist virtue signaling on Jimmy Kimmel.
How people talk.
Go ahead.
No, Cap.
I never liked him.
Beats are weak and he's chopped A. F.
One of the boys fired Beck.
We are burning our CDs to show solidarity with DJT.
Again, really interesting shift in vernacular that the guy first, just saying,
No, Cap, I never liked him.
Beats are weak and he's chopped day.
We are burning our CDs to show solidarity with DJT.
Oh, okay.
To help people talk.
Again, how people talk?
He goes on.
Bonfire in the park.
At the same time, and what time of day is he running?
Are they having a morning bonfire?
He posted this at four in the afternoon.
So he said earlier, morning.
Yeah, it could have been a sunrise, fuck jelly roll bonfire.
Classic.
Yeah.
That we see all over the United States.
He goes on.
I looked closer and I saw a heap of jelly roll scenes.
spanning his entire discography,
melting together in a fury of patriotism-fueled fines.
He could tell that they spanned his entire discography through the fire.
They were melted together,
but he could tell that it was a varied group of CDs.
Right.
Yeah, I mean, I saw them all.
Every single one is unbelievable.
The other thing that makes me so mad about this,
sorry to cut you off.
He did, he was,
I saw the jelly roll clips.
They were a complete,
in fact,
they were cowardly.
They were like incredibly middle
of the road.
You could tell,
like,
they were like,
let's split the difference on this
and just be like,
I don't know.
I don't think he's doing such a great job.
It was like,
it wasn't even anything.
Yeah,
wasn't even a hem all fired.
But yeah,
it's because he decided not to do the glazing.
So he got,
you know,
now he's getting the heat.
Sorry,
they're melting together
in a fury of patriotism-fueled flames.
Carry on,
boys,
I said,
as a smile grew across my face.
I threw another 20 pounds into my vest.
What?
We'll get, wait, we'll get to...
What?
Don't worry, Mono.
Okay.
I threw another 20 pounds into my vest.
You should give Kid Rock a listen.
He's infinitely more talented than Jelly Royal.
Trust me.
I depth them all up and broke into a dead sprint to finish out my run.
The kids are going to be all right.
And.
And scene.
And scene.
Breaking into a dead sprint after trying to have a...
There's so many great moments.
I threw another 20 pounds into my...
my vest.
Into my vest.
From later.
So,
thank you.
Yeah.
This is the Wichapungo.
He's the Wichapungo.
How do he just summon 20 pounds out of nowhere?
Out of thin air.
He's the Ritchapungo.
Yeah.
I literally was like,
do they have weighted vests that somehow add weight?
Like,
but that would violate the laws of physics.
Absolutely violates the laws of physics.
Because, yeah, where does it, where do those pounds hide?
You can't, mass can't be created and destroyed.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Exactly.
I thought at first he was saying, like,
I, like, put the CDs in my vest because that was a better use of them than listening to
figure it out, right?
But that's not what he said.
No.
No.
He just somehow said, I'm actually way even more.
He's like, at the end of the story, I became somehow even more badass as I put another 20 pounds in.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And then I did a dead sprinted away.
Sounds like a five-year-old telling you a lie about something.
He's like, yeah, and then I put 20 pounds more in the vest and I sprinted all the way up the mountain.
Yeah, totally.
Cool.
All right, man.
Yeah.
Well, that's cool, man.
I don't get a cool birthday.
That's awesome.
Totally.
Gen Z.
The kids are going to be all right.
And they're all their CDs.
There are many jelly roll CDs.
It makes me so it just both my mind because like, like, you know, our insane president tells stories like this.
Like, there's like, it's very child.
There's very, like, childlike stories with, like, insane exaggeration.
Yeah.
Right.
Like, where, like, people tell him, like, thank you for everything you do.
And they're all lies.
But it's so interesting that it's like a shared characteristic of people who have no grasp on reality.
Right.
Yeah.
I mean, this guy, I mean, that's the thing.
Everyone's like, is this satirical?
But this guy's ruined his career, like doing anything serious except for being like this MAGA just pundit.
And that's gotten him into the MAGA verse for sure.
So he's successful in that way.
But like the way he talks, you're like, oh, this guy completely lost it.
Yeah.
Because it's not because even it's funny because people,
be like, oh my God, I had a similar experience after I just, this is the replies to the tweet,
after I just finished my 100th straight rep of 2.95 on the bench press. And he said,
many people are saying this is happening all across the nation.
Another person just said, same exact thing happened to me.
Nick Adams replies, there's a great awakening happening in our nation.
Right.
So.
Same exact thing happened.
Same exact thing. Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
If he made that up, he, Michael, and needs to hire him to,
Doctor the Heat 2 script because his ear for dialogue is so on point.
Yeah.
That like, uh,
oh yeah,
my,
no cap,
I never liked him beats a week and he's chopped a F.
We are burning.
He goes right from that too.
We are burning our CDs to show solidarity with DJT.
Right.
It feels like a jet like a definite like chat GPT.
It's like,
um,
how would a like give me some hardcore Gen Z slam?
for some kids saying jelly roll sucks.
How do I say that in the Gen Z way?
He's chopped unc.
No cap.
I never liked him.
Beats our meat.
And he's chopped aff.
Yeah, that's fucking garbage.
That is wild.
That is, oh, the stories were forced to listen to.
Yeah.
But again, and like to create just, I mean, this is all part of that disinformation ecosystem for conservatives to be able to even
read something like this or they go, oh shit.
Okay, so there is, so there is,
there are repercussions for jelly roll with the,
the Gen Z bonfire crowd.
I wonder if this one gets printed out by the human printer and
served to Donald Trump, you know, because I was saying that like,
I feel like Fortune 500 companies must have entire like
Trump glazing departments for, you know,
finding ways to please the,
their dear leader because that does,
you know, help their mind in the end.
And so I wonder if like that's what we're seeing is just people writing for an audience of
one and like they just know specifically that he will believe this.
He sounds actually exactly right to me.
It's like the way Google has changed the name of Lake Ontario to the other name,
but only if you search it in America.
So in the United States.
So it's so interesting to me that it's like we're living in such a stupid time that it's
like Google acknowledges it's not real, but they want to, they want to be buddy-buddy
with the guy giving them billion-dollar tax cuts. So they're like, if you search it in the
States, just make it say like America. It's too fucking stupid. Yeah. It's a very, it's a dumb,
dumb world we live in. Dumb. Anyways, beautiful scene happening out there, put tears in my eyes.
Let's take a quick break. We'll be right back.
Behind every night spent making the kids lunches, there's a lot of suspense. Will they
finally eat the veggies? Will the pastos survive?
the first bite? Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full, or come home at all? And will you finish

Each week, we talk to someone in show business,

and try to help them with their careers
and see what they have to offer us.
Everyone has a good time,
and no one gets mad at their publicists
for letting them do our show.
We've had a lot of great guests
like Sarah Sherman, not that great.
Actually, can you help me shape this?
How about we flip it on his head?
How about we flip the script?
What is the surprise woman?
Actually, you think is the straight man
is actually the one who's acting weird.
Adam Scott,
this entire time,
you've been expecting
Adam Sandler to come to visit the show.
I would never expect.
I would never set expectations for something like that to happen.
If the universe allows for something like that to happen,
I'm open to it.
I'm always going to accept.
You know, Danny McBride, fine.
Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity.
exuding. I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you.
I was like, is that weed? Nope. It's fragile masculinity.
Ben Stiller, no. Because a lot of times out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is.
You know what I mean? Like, you're like, oh, what's a state.
Everyone's so dumb. And fake. Right. Fake and also not interested.
Or just like, oh, I've got my life. I don't care about your life. And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are with that.

Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable.
I knew if he woke up, without a doubt, he was going to hurt me.
I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed, and I just started screaming.

There's stories about what it takes to make it out alive.

On the new podcast Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman.
I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle.
I chose option B.
I'm Julie Pinero, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first.
So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip,
I hope you listen to Solita on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
And we're back.
We're back.
And we got to meet a new awesome CEO who is, you know, he has some interesting ideas about work from home and work.
workers and just how to treat them generally?
Yeah, this clip is going around of an interview with the CEO of the Morgan and Morgan law firm.
America's largest injury law firm in America.
And they say America as many times as possible.
During this interview, John Morgan, who's the CEO, started just tooting his own cruel horn for his genius way to root out lazy work from home employees.
And he just says it like with this like cockiness that you know.
Like the people he hangs are going to like, oh, that's fucking dope, dude.
That's crazy, man.
How do you make it harder for your workers?
This is John Morgan with his cool, cool tactic for how to get people to come back into the office.
I mean, nobody wanted to come back to the office.
So I said, you know what?
So these people are doing want to come back to the office.
Here's what we're going to do.
What is it happening?
What's happening with this voice?
You can work from home.
But guess what?
We're going to put a camera on your computer.
we're going to put a camera up your ass.
We won't look at you.
It'll be a pixel.
The first week, 23 people quit.
He's smiling.
It's not that they don't want to work from home.
They don't want to work to work.
Oh, Jesus.
And the people who want to work from home now are like, well, here's how it works.
If you qualify, we're going to have a camera on you.
We're going to be monitoring you closer than we would.
And we measure key strokes.
We have this productivity score.
This incredible.
AI.
And look, what's going on is a lot of people just don't want to work.
Yeah.
So great.
A little camera of my ass for free?
Yeah.
Right.
I mean, health care, man.
Thanks, boss.
Yeah.
New kink unlocked.
Jesus.
Right.
It's a camera up you're at.
It'll just be a little pixel.
you won't even feel it, but we'll be able to feel you.
But we'll know them.
I hate that I know this man.
As someone from North Carolina, like, I know this man.
I know the vibe.
Morgan and Morgan handed everything he's ever wanted from his daddy.
And now thinks he's a big tough, hardworking guy because, I don't know, he wears a suit.
And you know what I mean?
He screams at a dozen people every day.
So it's like, that's work.
It's also funny.
like so many of these CEOs like just haven't done the work of their company in so long or ever in a lot of instances that they don't even understand what needs to be done or how it's done.
So the only thing they know like work to be is you sit your fucking ass down at that desk till I say so.
Totally.
That's what I'm saying.
That's what work is.
And really is like no one wants to be.
The one wants to subscribe to my idea of captive labor that I'm really into.
And then mistaking people for like quitting as you're lazy.
No, those are, in my experience, if I heard that, I'm like,
nah, bro, I know my fucking worth, bro.
I'm not doing this shit.
Fuck yeah.
I can go get a job fucking anywhere.
Anywhere.
But not over this shit.
And I guarantee this motherfucker is not in the office five days a week.
I'll bet you that.
I wish they could have said that.
Oh, yeah.
I'll be here every.
hour you're here. How about that? Let's see. Yeah, yeah. And you're doing work or you're just playing
a wordle. Right. Or looking up porn on your phone or some shit.
That would be like they should be like CEOs who are tracking their employees with
AI technology should be that that would be a great like reverse. Yeah. You know, campaign to just be
like, yeah, okay, we're going to track your work because none of these motherfuckers are doing
no as much work as they claim to be doing. Right. Yeah. I mean, they do spend a lot of time in
meetings with other people who are CEOs and like banks and just the workforce is a problem to
overcome and a problem to solve for. And so that's where you get shit like this where it's just like,
well, they're they're all people who are trying to steal from our bottom line. They all look,
they all, I mean, this is like the perspective of labor that so many American companies have,
which is your your employees are actually inmates in a prison that you have to monitor.
because they might get together and do an uprising unionize.
So you better make sure that's not happening.
So you better surveil them.
They better feel like they're in the fucking Panopticon being watched constantly.
So they go sit at their little desk and go click, click, click, click, click, click.
And I think so many, like, what's so underrated, you hear so many people talk about, like,
these companies are like great productivity.
And you'll hear people like at TED talks and stuff.
Like, how do I do it?
I don't micromanage my workers.
Right.
And I base this.
We don't base the success of like, or like, like,
efficacy of an employee on how much ass time they have and like just pretending to work.
But like what what their actual output is.
Like are the tasks getting done?
Great.
Right.
You got time for more?
Cool.
But yeah.
I mean, I think this guy should just admit he wants to spy on people at home.
A period.
Yeah.
Thanks a lot, Michelle Fico.
Thanks a lot.
Yeah, let's blame him for seeing it coming.
For seeing it coming.
Fuck you for perfectly explaining the current condition.
Where we were headed.
But now we are being surveilled.
I'm laughing because I'm all the time.
I'm like it used to be Panopticon.
And now with fucking, what's it called?
What's the evil surveillance company?
And I was like, well, now you are being watched.
Do you know what I mean?
It used to be the illusion of being watched.
Which is funny too, because that asshole, right, who just last week was like,
People need to compromise their need for privacy so he can be safe.
He got doxed over the weekend.
I love it.
Did he like you?
They're like, damn.
How's that?
Try that on.
You flip with your privacy or no?
No?
Oh, wow.
That's crazy.
Damn, damn.
He lives in Atlanta.
I'll drop the address in the comments.
Yeah.
People were like, this you?
Yeah.
Is your address?
And the visual of his home is blurred on Google Maps.
Yeah.
That's hilarious.
Why?
hilarious.
What that means?
When they found out his address, was he like, good, I welcome that.
Because like I said, oh, he wasn't.
He wasn't cool with it.
He didn't love it.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah, weird.
No, I didn't like it at all.
Got a kick.
Like, the people who are, like, there was that thing about where a journalist was, like,
trying to go to the, like, surveillance con where, like, the convention where all the
surveillance companies were coming together.
He was like, and they wouldn't invite us.
So we, like, basically hacked, hacked them and, like, used their technology to spy on people and get these pictures of their faces.
Like, they need to be using that technology to, like, follow this guy around.
I really, honestly, like, mono, you're so right on.
Like, I just want to see what a typical work week is like for this motherfucker.
Yeah.
For John Morgan?
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
It's very, like, Santa Claus or Daddy.
I don't know, there's this weird narrative in our world where it's like, well, I've earned the right to not do it.
Right.
I don't know.
I don't know.
By being given this job by my dad.
Yeah.
Well, I think, yeah, I mean, that's just kind of how class works in most societies, too.
But the way like Americans specifically are like, well, once you become CEO, you're a demigod.
That's all where we're ending up, right?
Yeah.
So, yeah.
You know, at that point, I am the one who dictates the laws of reality to my.
employees as if they are my creations because I am now a god.
I've got to work hard enough but somehow managed to not work yourself to death,
which is always the issue.
You don't want to die at your desk.
So, you know,
maybe only 21 hours a day.
He also has a way of speaking that I was noticing with the DSA guy,
or not DSA,
the Tom Holman guy.
Oh, yeah,
who's kind of a drunken bronchat?
Yeah, why do they all sound shit-faced?
all the time.
Like, this guy's like, I don't know how about it.
Yeah.
Like in his, when he started out, he was like, oh, I got to get my shit together here.
Yeah.
I mean, learn.
Yeah.
You were so right when you said, like, talking in a way that, uh, you can tell his circle
is other pieces of shit.
So like, he's like, I told him to get off of their butt and work.
It's like, you can tell he's only surrounded by other people who are unbelievably
wealthy and work two hours a week.
who validate that kind of speaking
as opposed to being like,
you're not aware that people are
busting their ass to survive.
You're so clueless.
Like, you never touched a real person.
That story usually ends with the person
then offering to karate fight him
and him defeating them
in a karate battle.
I feel like that level of
rigorous truth telling.
Yeah, he's also, it's funny too,
because like he, just to show you,
the Democrats can also be a piece of shit.
He was like a huge fundraiser for the Democratic Party too.
Oh, yeah.
And then once he saw these progressives getting in,
he was also part of launching the Common Ground Party.
Oh, hell, yeah.
Or earlier this year.
That sounds nice.
Yeah, man, it's common ground, basically like,
we're just trying to,
we're holding on violently to the center.
That's kind of our whole thing.
That's right.
Yeah.
But, like, we've seen all these kinds of, like,
fake-ass parties come out.
We're just like, we just want to appeal to the,
Republicans and Democrats, I feel like they don't have a home.
Mm-hmm.
What about us?
You guys, I was just in a public space where someone literally out loud was like,
I guess I'm more moderate.
And I literally just, instead of, I'm not doing any of the emotional labor anymore.
I just literally was saying, I'll be right back.
I just never came back.
I just didn't.
I usually would be like, yeah, you know, totally.
I'm like, I'm not doing that anymore.
Wait, how did that?
What was the topic that came on?
up that had that person proclaimed they were a moderate.
I'm trying to remember it was something to do with money.
Again, I was at the Topengamal.
I was at the Topangamal and someone who has money was, you know, that that was.
Talking of a moderate.
Yeah.
More of a moderate.
I'm not doing this.
I'm walking away.
I'm just done.
Like babysitting that sort of behavior.
Yeah.
Damn.
And that was the person that brought you to chain too.
That's great.
Yeah, it was.
A piece of shit.
I have my, I have my mopo.
Like my Mopo crunch rap.
Yeah, BJ Nob.
Hey, are you enjoying your Mopo crunch rap Supreme?
You know, I'm a bit of a moderate if we're going to talk politics.
You know, I just think the Democrats are going crazy, huh?
That would. I'll be right back.
Mono, such a pleasure having you as always.
Oh, thank you for having me.
Where can people find you, follow you, here you see you, all the good stuff.
Yes.
So follow me.
Right now I am pushing my, I have a drag show.
on September 19th.
Bad Drag Race is my comedy drag show
that I host with Oscar Montoya
and Nicole Beyer.
The finale is September 19th.
We're so excited.
We're looking for L.A.'s
Crunchiest drag performer.
Wow.
And we're very excited.
So grab tickets to that.
What is a crunchy drag performer?
Like, we don't like polish.
We don't like good.
We don't like pretty.
We want funny, stupid, conceptual.
Got it.
Yeah.
Got it.
Yeah.
So you don't got to be serving fish.
You've got to just be,
you got to have a good concept.
Okay.
Period.
We don't want fish.
We want puffer.
We want,
we want,
we want,
we want,
we want, we want,
we're trying to find Nemo.
Okay.
Yeah,
we don't want any of the pretty fish.
We're looking for the deep sea angler.
Yeah,
we're,
we're just like,
it's all goofy, fun,
comedy drag.
So come to that.
That's at the Dynasty typewriter
on September 19th,
uh,
tickets at bad drag race on Instagram.
Um,
We're also taking the show to Portland in October, so just follow us at Bad Drag Race.
If you like Drag, listen to my podcast, Drag Her Podcast.
We're covering all the iterations of Drag Race right now.
And if you like Trash, come listen to my podcast with Betsy Sedaro called We Love Trash.
We're currently doing Septuber, where we're covering all the trash from YouTube and Tubeby.
All right.
Wow.
What kind of trash is on YouTube?
Like just old shows and stuff?
Do you remember the viral clip
I Want to Be Ninja?
Yes.
The fucking racist-ass white lady's song.
I want to be ninja.
Yeah.
The racist white lady.
She has released a movie called I Want to Be Ninja.
And it's like a documentary narrative about why she's not racist and her.
It's fucking crazy.
That video is wild because, like, there's legitimate little pans to people in the audience who are, like, Asian.
And they're like, where the, like, it feels like a scene from the office.
Like the Dundee's award where Michael's doing the racist Asian character.
He's like, oh, that'll be there.
And then they show a woman in the Chili's who's Asian being like, what the fuck is this?
And that woman is in this film.
She, like, corners.
Wow.
Yes. She, like, corners this poor woman.
and it's like, you know I'm not racist, right?
And this poor age one's like,
Oh, Jesus.
No, no, I know.
She's like, good, because I'm not.
It is.
She tracked down the person who had a reaction shot in her viral video.
Yes.
Have you, Jack, have you, do you know this?
I don't know this one.
It's awful.
It's wild.
This is definitely like deep internet dumb shit, but.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm down to scratch my head.
What could this day bring?
It could be anything.
See this Asian woman right here.
She's like, where the fuck?
She tracks her down.
Jack Nicholson, front row at the lake show right now.
Yes.
Her name is Jennifer Murphy.
She's the heir to the Murphy bed fortune.
Oh, my.
And what she's talking about is competitors from Chinese markets
and how she wants to be more competitive than them.
That's why she wants to be ninja.
Maybe I could be ninja.
I want to be ninja
What?
I want to be ninja
I want to jump
I like this one blonde lady's like
I'm loving it
And this poor Asian woman
Has to watch this dumb racist bullshit
Has not moved in three minutes
It's just like
Yeah
I know marginalized people know that feeling
When you got front row seats to the fuckery
And you can't just crash out
Or just leave
Right
This won't shock you
she's from Huntington Beach.
You know that's true.
You know that's true.
Home of the ninja.
Obviously.
Holy shit.
So yeah, if you're a deep dive into trash.
That was a Murphy bed event.
Oh, she's Jennifer Murphy.
They sell Murphy beds.
And obviously.
Murphy beds are the beds that just come down from the wall?
Yep.
And obviously there's been competition from other markets.
So now she released that song as a way to be like,
We're going to be competitive with Asian markets that obviously are probably offering a better product for cheaper.
That was a corporate sponsored video performance.
Yeah, that was like an event.
Oh, my God.
She's what Nepo ultimately needs to.
She's got a whole website where she's selling all kinds of bullshit.
Yes, and the movie's free on YouTube if you want to punish yourself.
What's this headscarf?
Is this for hijabies?
What the hell is that?
It's a ninja head cover, cotton headscarf.
Oh, my.
And it's good for skin cover, you know, and that is good.
She spent a lot of money on this movie.
Like, oh, my God.
It's a picture of white moms when they say,
Ola at a Chinese restaurant.
What the fuck, white people, take care of your own, please.
Jesus.
What the fuck is this?
That's what I've been doing.
When we get done with this podcast, I'm giving her a call.
So yeah, sorry.
Sorry and thank you.
Oh my God.
That's the kind of deep dive on trash you like to do on Velo Trash.
So join us on Patreon.
She just did like a thing with little people fighting each other in the ring?
What?
Go girl.
It's Bob,
look, this is like she's doing like bad friends with Bobby Lee and Santino.
This is Bobby Wee and Andrew Santini.
Hosted by Micro Joe.
Dude.
My God.
It's crazy when like
When like socioeconomic
like whiteness and wealth
truly has you in the mindset
We're like
Right.
People are not people man.
These are motherfuckers I just I just fuck around with.
They're not human beings at all.
Right.
These are just toys and I'm like,
I'm doing my ninja shit.
I got like this whole.
Whatever the fuck this is.
It's like the opposite of shame.
It's like whatever.
Truly the opposite of shame.
It's called catacity.
The sheer.
Here, Cogacity.
Miles, where can people find you?
Is there a work of media you've been enjoying?
Yeah, I'll be looking for a fucking counselor to speak with after
seeing the whole ninja verse I was just exposed to.
I find me everywhere at Miles of Gray talking about English football on Ain't at Footy
with Jamel Johnson and Chris Martin.
Please subscribe to that feed over there.
The latest episode, you can hear the Geist Child begging me to get on microphone
as I'm lamenting what I've done.
I don't want him to think that this is a way to live, child.
You have your own thing.
No way to live.
I want you to be ninja, son.
Please.
Yeah, and then also talking about 90-day fiancé on 420-day fiancé.
A couple works of media I like is stand-up comedian Michael Dedde, who's at Can't Guard Mike.
He posts like little clips of his substack where he goes by Mike Berniglia.
He's a funny black comedian.
But like he has these articles.
It's like, it's a picture of Dave Portnoy. It says, you have no bitches. You've never been with a batty, and you are scaring the hose. Being a cisgender heterosexual man, I've spent the better part of my life in close proximity to other cisgender heterosexual men. As such, I have always been keenly aware of these men's relationships to women, or more precisely, to the hose. Men who, who, regardless of their height, income, grooming, or social positioning, exhibit an almost preternatural ability to repel women. They do not merely fail to attract. They actively, generally,
generate aversion. They do not lack opportunity so much as they negate, they negate it upon arrival.
In the vernacular, these men, quote, scare the hopes. He's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's,
normativity force us to engage in performative backshots. This is what many people want to know.
And he just has such fun.
It's just fantastic writing on this stuff.
It's really worth checking out.
I've got a huge laugh from his writing.
Holy shit.
And hopefully we'll have him on the show soon.
Yeah.
I liked a tweet.
So the Wall Street Journal tweeted a article with the headline,
ditch the 40 ounce water bottle.
You're probably hydrated enough.
And then the tweet was,
you don't need to make drinking water a part-time job,
since too much of it doesn't have any real health benefit.
And Zito at underscore Zitz just retweeted the two chats from Mad Max Fury Road
with Morton Joe addressing the crowd saying,
do not my friends become addicted to water.
It will take hold of you and you will resent its absence.
Oh, shit.
Yeah.
Somebody else in the comments said soft launching water shortage.
Yeah, yeah.
You actually don't need, like too much water is bad.
for you guys. You should just
cool it with that stuff.

find the footnotes, which is where
we link off to the information that we talked about
in today's episode as well as a song
that we think you might enjoy.
Miles, is there a song that you think that people
might enjoy. Yeah, this is a track
called Gravitron by
Paul Spring. Another
artist I just came upon on
Instagram and this sounds like if
there was like a
like a little jam band at
like a medieval Renaissance fair
like if that band got kind of
a little bit funky with it
and gave you a little something that you're like
I see y'all playing a loop over there
but you're kind of getting you're rumping
and jumping on that thing. Yeah.
Yeah, it's dope. I mean a lot
It's got a ton of likes on Instagram.
I just saw it recently.
But I think it's got something for everybody.
So this is Gravitron by Paul Spring.
All right.
We will link off to that in the footnotes.

On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman.
I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle.
I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinero and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first.
I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility.

Hey, this is Hayes Davenport and Sean Clements.
We host the podcast, Hollywood Handbook.
Each week, we talk to someone in show business and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us.
Everyone has a good time, and no one gets mad at their publicists for letting them do our show.
We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman, Adam Scott, Danny McEy,
Bride, Ben Stillard, and a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us.

I survived nine months in captivity, and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them.
I'm Elizabeth Smart, and these are the Survivor Files.
Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable, abducted, stalked,
controlled and nearly silenced. These are stories about what it takes to make it out alive.

I'm Mangishatigular and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talked to
scientists, biopunks, cremudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to
understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us.
And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.
I'd say probably start bone smashing.
That doesn't work.
To make it look more defined.
They say it works.
I don't know.
