Starting point is 00:03:17 That is courtesy of the gross face killer who said got leafed. Got left. who said got leaf got left it must be I got left and mused up some holiday episode titles that's the only way to make sense of that got a couple green leaves and then yeah I was reading the tea leaves and it inspired me tea leaves it could be a reference to tea leaves good Good guess, Miles. Definitely not waved off the loud. Mm hmm. Oh, hi. Yeah. Wave. Good to see you as well. Yeah, I waved as well. I waved back. My name is Jack. That over there is Miles.
Starting point is 00:03:53 These are some of the stories that are trending on this Tuesday afternoon, December 10th. Yes. Twenty twenty four. So the CEO assassin has been apprehended, seems to be getting raves from the internet, just generally with regards to his looks. Yeah, yeah. Pretty much the same, same, nothing's changed. I feel like you do a heat check, people are not,
Starting point is 00:04:22 they're standing by Luigi. The sentiment has not turned, despite the best efforts of conservative pundits on television to be like, Kyle Rittenhouse, that's a hero. Daniel Penny, that's a hero. Don't ask how we determine which victims get sympathy. I mean, a lot of things about his public perception are defying typical assassin
Starting point is 00:04:48 physics. Like, for instance, now, every time I hear him referred to on like by the mainstream media, they're calling him Luigi. They're just calling him Luigi. Like assassins gain names like the Lee Oswald turns into Lee Harvey Oswald. You have to, like, add a name to get the official evil history doer designation. But, like, we were watching a clip on tomorrow's episode of, like, a CNN person being like, Luigi? You think Luigi's cool?
Starting point is 00:05:23 He's not cool? Luigi Bad! You're like, you're training a dog. Luigi bad. Yeah. Luigi bad. Daniel Penny good. Luigi bad. Okay. Okay. His actual manifesto seems to have dropped. Ken Lippenstein published it on Blue Sky or linked off to it on Blue Sky and said that none of the official like media outlets like the New York Times or any of those places are posting it even though they all have access to it, but you know, it's fairly short and It seems like this one might be true to me as opposed to the ones that have been circulating because this one is like It doesn't have like the satisfying personal backstory that I think people were hoping for. Like his, his actual manifesto talks about the market cap of the company that this guy
Starting point is 00:06:12 was the CEO of. Uh, he's just like has real tech bro vibes. Yeah. I mean, but he definitely gets to the point of like, we're paying so much money for healthcare in like, we pay the most for health insurance, but we have the number 42 life expectancy. Yes, exactly. And then just, he basically says that like CEOs have just become too powerful
Starting point is 00:06:32 and they abuse the country quote for immense profit because the American public has allowed them to get away with it. And then he goes on to say, evidently I'm the first to face it with such brutal honesty. So yeah, that sounds like based on like the what's in here, it sounds like the little snippets that whatever mainstream outlets have offered people, which is like he called the CEO's parasites. I'm like, yeah, that's in there. And he said he acted alone.
Starting point is 00:06:55 It's like, yeah, that's in there. So this seems to seem to open up. He's like feds. I just want to say like, big fan of your work. And then is like, let me help you out. Let me help you out. I acted alone. I did it for these reasons. Any notes you found were just me planning this thing. And then he did like shout a bunch of stuff on his way into the courthouse as cameras rolled.
Starting point is 00:07:20 I couldn't quite make out what it was. He's basically saying as he's getting, coming out of the police cruiser to go to his extradition hearing, which he is contesting, his extradition to New York from Pennsylvania, he's screaming something to the tune of completely out of touch and an insult to the intelligence of the American people. But here you can hear it for yourself. And then he is whisked away. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. Saying completely out of touch and an insult to the intelligence of the American people can apply to so many different people who are in charge in this country. It's not still a bit of a question mark. The other thing that was sort of a bit of news is when he was at his first hearing yesterday, he basically was pushed
Starting point is 00:08:14 back like the law enforcement said they found him with like $10,000 based around $10,000 in cash on him. He said, I don't, I, that's not me. That someone may have planted that. Now I don't know why that he doesn't deny anything else, but he's like the cash. Nah, I don't have that. I don't know how much that really changes anything. If you're not really contesting the fact that you have the gun, but yeah. Yeah. That's kind of where things are at at the moment, but I'm sure. I mean, I think that detail ties into people being like, see,
Starting point is 00:08:43 I knew he was a CIA operative, see I knew he was a CIA operative But if this person was a CIA operative, he would not be alive right now The what's what's the historical is there a historical parallel here for someone that was a fall guy that was the CIA Like what are we even the people thought might be a CIA operative and then was treated the way that you would suspect The CIA might treat somebody who was an operative? Yeah, I don't know. I mean, a lot of people thought Lee Harvey Oswald might have been a CIA operative, but you know, he was allowed to grow old in jail and say whatever. Oh, wait, sorry. No, he was killed the day after. Yeah. Yeah. So you think I think that's kind
Starting point is 00:09:23 of where my thinking is, even though I don't think that Lee Harvey Oswald was like necessarily working for the CIA. Right. Well, more more theories abound. Tune in tomorrow while we will get into all of it. There is also an interesting. Yeah. Yeah. We'll dig into some of the conspiracy theories involving Pokemon numerology, but the right wing media's response. CNN wrote an article about companies trying to stop online support for CEO killer suspect. In what way?
Starting point is 00:09:55 What do they mean? Like sending like terse emails company wide? People like not being able to sell t-shirts that support him on Amazon. Oh, got it. Got it. They're not so quick to pull the trigger on like Nazi stuff, but stuff like this. They they don't like this sentiment. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:15 You know, right. Of course. And why would Amazon allow some kind of message about coming after CEOs proliferate when he's like, well, white supremacy is fine because I'm, they're okay. I mean, they wouldn't get me. Yeah. Billionaires don't get rid of that. They're I'm a, I'm a hero to them. Uh, one of the paragraphs from the thing that Brian, the editor was pointing out,
Starting point is 00:10:39 the killing has generated mixed feelings online in a Facebook post by United health group expressing sadness by United Health Group, expressing sadness about United Health Care CEO Thompson's death. I received 62,000 reactions, 57,000 of them laughing emojis. Yeah. Like with the tears coming out. Yeah. Yeah. Hard laughing. That's not mixed. Try as they might. No one, I don't think anyone is being influenced by the memes To like make their decision about like how they feel about this like most of the memes
Starting point is 00:11:15 Yeah, yeah, most people are like, yeah, man help the health insurer like people be like damn fucking health care is fucked up Yeah fucked up. I think that is generally what people are feeling the most basic reaction completely removed from whether or not they like Luigi or not, but it's always like yeah,, man, healthcare is a fucked up out here. Yup. Does seem to be the thing that I am learning that, uh, about all the people around me, uh, not that they are all secretly bloodthirsty murderers, uh, but that they all have had really fucked up experiences with, with healthcare.
Starting point is 00:11:49 And again, this must this speak so much to the larger issue of the fact that we, as normal people, working people, looking at the number of threats, existential threats that exist around us, that CEOs are directly responsible for. And the most we can do is just wave our fists at the sky and think anything happens. So when any any kind of event happens, it just, it's immediately going to serve as a release valve for the frustration of being feeling completely powerless. Um, especially in this stage of American capitalism. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Let's take a quick break and we'll come back. We'll talk about, uh, where the number one, we're not usually a sports podcast, we have a basketball show, but the number one basketball recruit in the country, one of the best prospects in 10 years, just announced where he's going, and it's BYU, Brigham Young University. So we're gonna talk about that and why that might be,
Starting point is 00:12:42 and whether it has anything to do with soaking, more at 11. We'll be right back. Skylight Frame is more than just a photo frame. We want to speak out, we want to raise awareness and we want this to stop. Wow, very powerful. I'm Ellie Flynn and I'm an investigative journalist.
Starting point is 00:14:04 When a group of models from the UK wanted my help, I went on a journey deep into the heart of the adult entertainment industry. I really wanted to be a playboy model. Lingerie, topless. I said yes please. Because at the centre of this murky world is an alleged predator. You know who he is because of his pattern of behavior. He's just spinning the web for you to get trapped in it.
Starting point is 00:14:29 He's everywhere and has been everywhere. It's so much worse and so much more widespread than I had anticipated. Together, we're going to expose him and the rotten industry he works in. It's not just me. We're an army in comparison to him. Listen to The Bunny Trap on the iHeart Radio app,
Starting point is 00:14:46 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Martha Stewart has been a household name for over four decades and still isn't done. Join iHeart Media Chairman and CEO Bob Pittman for a special episode of the hit podcast, Math & Magic, Stories from the Frontiers of Marketing, as he interviews this icon in front of a live audience to celebrate her 100th book, Martha, the Cookbook, 100 Favorite Recipes, with lessons and stories from My Kitchen.
Starting point is 00:15:20 Did you ever think you were going to wind up writing 100 books? Yeah. You did? Yeah, it's just a minor goal. This intimate and wide-ranging conversation between friends covers the pivotal decisions in Martha's career, the philosophy that has guided her, and the source of so much of her creative inspiration. They actually looked at the July issue that I had prototyped, and they said, this is fabulous.
Starting point is 00:15:43 What would you do next July? And I said, well, living is a limitless subject matter. Listen to math and magic on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, everyone, it's Jon, also known as Dr. Jon Paul, and I'm Jordan or Joho. And we are the BlackF Film Podcast. A podcast where all the intersections of identity are celebrated. Oh, chat. This year we have had some of our favorite people on, including Kid Fury, T.S. Madison, Amber Ruffin from the Amber and Lacey Show, Angela Carras, and more. Make sure you listen to the Black Fat Film Podcast on the iHeartRadio app, have a podcast, or whatever you get your podcast, girl.

Starting point is 00:16:59 New episodes every Thursday. And we're back. We're back. So AJ Dibansa, a name that I will no doubt learn how to actually pronounce in the coming years is not just this year. So after this high school basketball year, he will graduate and go to a college where he will be the best basketball player in collegiate athletics. Uh, people think he is not just next year's top recruit, but one of the best NBA prospects of the past 10 years.
Starting point is 00:17:40 They're already giving him that crown, huh? Yeah. Yeah. They're like, I haven't seen tape of him. Is he that nice? I guess he's that yeah. I haven't seen tape of him. Is he that nice? I guess he's that nice. I haven't seen tape of him either. This was actually a brilliant move because now he is on everyone's radar because he's
Starting point is 00:17:53 such a wild. He's from Jamie's hometown. Brockton, Mass. I know. He's from Brockton. He played at one of our close rival schools. St. Sebastian's? St. Sebs, bro.
Starting point is 00:18:05 All boys school. My friends who went there were like, it's prison. It's just straight up prison. It's an all boys school. Oh, dude. You went there Catholic all boys school. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:15 That's it's prison. He went there freshman year. My, the league that I played in was so good that this guy went and as a freshman became, was so dominant that this guy went and as a freshman became was so dominant that they won almost won actually my high school beat them in the championship. Okay. It used to be a terrible basketball school so bad. I'm going to Jack this week. I was I was the captain of the team my senior year. That's how bad we were. Oh, God. They won dunked on. Oh, yeah, exactly. I was the captain of want dunked on. Oh, yeah, exactly. I was I was the captain of getting dunked on
Starting point is 00:18:47 dunked on so hard so many times. But anyways, he was the Massachusetts player of the year, his freshman year. Oh, like already best player in the state freshman year, then transferred to a school in California, played with the second best player in the country, like did a bit of a Heedles thing Now he's at a boarding school in Utah. That's like a basketball factory, but he's from Massachusetts. He did not grow up in Utah, right and He chose Brigham Young University, which is
Starting point is 00:19:18 Like not a top basketball school or has not traditionally been a top basketball school people are top basketball school or has not traditionally been a top basketball school. People are wondering what is happening. They just got a new coach who's actually a good friend of my dad, Kevin. Full disclosure, full disclosure. But like he's. Oh wait, Kevin Young at Brigham Young. Yeah, I think that maybe I have that wrong. So he's maybe Kevin anyway, good coach. And also a lot of people are pointing to the fact that like they might have
Starting point is 00:19:48 more NIA money than any of the other schools or NIL money than any of the other schools, uh, because they like have some big donors. Yeah. I'm reading record setting name and imaging license. What is it? Name imaging licensing. That's what I've always made it in my head, but around $5 million. But the response from a lot of, uh, name image likeness, sorry, name image likeness. A lot of the people I know are saying, yeah,
Starting point is 00:20:17 but the no sex. What? That's her friend. Dude, boy, how's he gonna have sex. He's a young yet. He had school in Utah. How's he going to do it? Which I've had the pleasure of telling a lot of people about soaking lately and just kind of the others where there's a will, there's a way.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Y'all. Well, was it the jump bounce? Jump, jump, pumping. Yes. Yeah. Which we've talked about before on the show Penetration no thrusting but allow someone to jump on the bed while you and your partner are on the bed And then the kinetic motion that they create from their jumping may create some kind of stimulation Is the idea it's funny because you brought this up I went into a reddit thread that was talking about this myth of
Starting point is 00:21:07 Jump-pumping and there were a couple FOMOs former Mormons as they identify online And said it is not real and they're like, you know real that's what this is and these but I think this is coming from An older group of Mormons. They're saying right It's like if and if it was these kids would not be posting about it. While plenty of other Mormons like, but soaking? Yeah. It just seems like the logical extension of soaking and floating, you know? Yeah, yeah, exactly. But then it was funny because then people like Catholic here, equally as rigid ideas around, you know, abstinence and things like that. We had something called the poop hole loop hole
Starting point is 00:21:46 and it just devolved into a bunch of religious people saying all the ways in which they didn't incur the wrath of their God. There anyways, I mean, I think the greatest, the best athlete in America just tacitly co-signed jump pumping. Hell yeah. This is what I'm reading.
Starting point is 00:22:04 Good for him. Utah currently kind of having a moment with the dirty soda Explosion and the the Stanley cups as we talked about on a past episode kind of started with Utah moms Yeah, oh really the water talk explosion Originated with Utah mom fluency shit Alright, yeah, so I don't know. I'm just saying watch out Utah is a thing that everybody needs to reckon with. It's crazy to see this young guy, bro. He has a fucking chain on him.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Fuck yeah, iced the fuck out. And I'm like, you're 17. They're saying this deal could be between five and seven million that he's getting offered it for one year. Yeah. Holy shit. Tied him over until he's the number one, uh, pick in the NBA draft the next year. Right. And then what? The logic being there is that you completely change the reputation of BYU and
Starting point is 00:22:54 then can now attract more talent essentially. Yeah. Good for him. Good for them. My dad's friend just went there is just, uh, just a new arrival. So maybe they're, maybe they're going to build something there. But, um, I think he is maybe related to Brigham Young. Yeah. His name's Kevin Young. Quick question, Jack. How many years of eligibility you got? I'm just saying I got full eligibility. You got a connection. You're like, Hey, Kev, you know, my dad, bro. I want to get in there with AJ, dude.
Starting point is 00:23:28 Just think about it. Let me put that out there. Give me in there, man. I got a little bit of a bro. Won't cause any problems. That's right. Uh, let's talk about Matt Gates. Yeah, Matt Gates, OAN's newest anchor. Yeah, a lot of people were like in your face, didn't work out so well for you.
Starting point is 00:23:47 You're not going to get to be attorney general. Well, guess what? He's getting his own OAN show. You know, it's just as good as being top cop is having your own show on QAnon network. Yes. Cool. Cool. Cool. On OAN, is that the Onions? Yeah, right. Yeah. I mean, America News. Yeah. Yeah. No, one America where they do it. They don't shy away from any fucking freaky bullshit.
Starting point is 00:24:16 That's not true. So they'll say it all. I think they're. Do you remember when OAM was like first becoming a thing and we were like talking about it and scared of that? And now it's just this just here. It's just here. It's everywhere.
Starting point is 00:24:32 It's like the when we did on yesterday's episode, I talked about those like citizen apps and like we did stories where like, Jesus, these are going to like radicalize. Everybody's going to be fucking in their suburban home, just like getting afraid of the world about every suspicious thing that happens in, in eyesight of their 72 year old neighbors, front lawn and, uh, every person of color who's not wearing business attire. Exactly. Sure enough, here we are. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:05 Jesus Christ. This the promo material for this Matt Gaetz show. He looks like such a fucking dork. He looks like like one of the dudes who got kicked out of like the Reservoir Dogs crew. Yeah. Like it's this is this is 100% trying to be Reservoir Dogs. This look he's got with the suit and the glasses. You can already hear the,
Starting point is 00:25:25 who got chock, who got who, but it's so bad. It's probably like, I can picture, he was like cropped out of the shot all the way to the, yeah. I got men in black immediately upon seeing it. Presumably he was gonna try and use the neuralyzer to make us all forget about why he didn't get picked. Something about statutory rape potentially or child sex trafficking.
Starting point is 00:25:50 I don't know, but anyway, you're on TV now. You've just seen a tanker truck overturn. That's what it was. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Also, God bless the shitty white men of America who again continue to ascend as backwardsfeated baby to the heights. Us mediocre whites are undefeated. God damn.
Starting point is 00:26:11 The winning streak can not be stopped. Who's your coach? Bill Belichick? Golly. He just announced he's going to UNC. Really? He's going to coach North Carolina for some reason. What does that mean?
Starting point is 00:26:23 Is that good? The last time I remember anything about North Carolina football is at Julius Peppers. That's all I got for you. All right. Those are some of the things that are trending on this episode of our sports podcast. We are back tomorrow with the whole last episode of the show. Until then, be kind to each other, be kind to yourselves, get the vaccine, get your flu shot. Don't do nothing about white supremacy
Starting point is 00:26:48 and we will talk to y'all tomorrow. Bye. Floater. I hear he's got an amazing floater in the lane. Say floater. Ha ha ha. We want to speak out and we want this to stop. Wow, very powerful. I'm Ellie Flynn, an investigative journalist, and this is my journey deep into the adult
