I only thought of it because in LA, the Universal Studios Hollywood, there was a sound effects show that tried to tell you movie magic through the context of Harry and the Hendersons. And it was so dated by like 1993. But it was still, people loved it. Was that, I don't remember. Was that movie a real foley artist showcase? No, it wasn't a TV.

It was like a movie and then a tv show right right yeah so the movie came out in 87 and i think people just you know people were loving john lithgow and that one loving it yeah anyway well let's tell the people what's trenders sending right now on twitter and google search trends, Mayo Clinic is trending. And that is because our vice president, the one, the only, the man, Michael Pence, is touring the Mayo Clinic. And he knows what side his bread is buttered on. He knows it's all about that distinguished looking face because he is refusing to wear a mask at the Mayo Clinic despite the fact that the medical professionals

who work there have specifically said he has to wear a mask. He was like, I don't have to do anything because I am the vice president and I need to show off this jawline it's so reckless to look at these images he's at a facility where they are doing research and treatment of covid 19 and you're like nah fam to the mask now i'm i'm curious this is back to your point about the chiseled jawline do you think he saw something in the mirror and he's like oh i don't know i just don't look good

with a mask on and i just don't want to wear it like it's not even like we're trying we're trying to say oh he's on some macho toxic masculinity thing but he's really just like super insecure he's like insecure i just like it makes my neck look funny see i think the mask actually is great at covering up uh you know if you got you don't have to shave as much yeah it's great could you imagine that face you do that thing you put your mask on and you just shave around the parts including the the bands that go around your ears. Yeah, it's so precise. Like, for what? You could have just shaved your face.

It would have been easier. Well, fearless leadership. I think I'm going to do it. I think it's also, it's a part in line with that mentality. I see a lot of right-wingers who are protesting the lockdowns who are saying,

this is a thing I hear all the time. It's like, you don't need to be afraid folks. It's not that scary. So I guess for him to wear it, he's also giving a nod to people being like, it's not that bad. MP is going raw, raw dogging it into the Mayo Clinic. Raw dogging it at the, he's raw dogging the Mayo Clinic with his face. Yeah. I, this reminds me a little bit of one of the Fox News anchors. I think it was maybe Ducey. But one of them about a year ago was talking about how he doesn't wash his hands after he goes to the bathroom. Oh, kill me. And he's like, why? It's not like I go to the it was kill me. That's right. And he was like, why? It's not like I go to the bathroom on my hands.

And everyone was like, that's gross. But it was just a manufactured hot take. But at the same time, I do feel like there was back in the 80s and 90s this sort of obstinately ignorant point of view that was like dumb guy humor where it's like what i don't care dude yeah that flies rule still embodied yeah it's like flies flies are in my apartment they're tight i think tim allen is still that guy maybe um yeah like the the last man standing that that's it's like a who that audience is it's a weird fetishization of an aloof father figure who was probably dealing with like world war ii trauma that wasn't addressed and like words like heart like they're like that was a man who dad was completely out of touch with

my needs as a child or whatever right and i'm mirroring that and it every version evolves to like a watered down version of that but i think it all leads back to this idea for a lot of people who is like i'm not going to change the way i live i'm not willing to go there that's just too much but to go to the mayo clinic who is battling covid19 i'm assuming that's why he was touring it. I actually, the Oh Hello podcast, which is very funny, John Mulaney and Nick Kroll's Oh Hello podcast,

they recently had Pete Davidson on, and during the course of a ridiculous interview, he talked about being confronted by 9-11 truthers because his dad died on 9-11. Right. He's a firefighter, right? The 9-11 truthers uh because his dad died on 9-11 right and it's a firefighter 11 truthers yeah he was a firefighter who died in 9-11 and the 9-11 truthers were like nah dude 9-11 never happened and he's like i'm pretty pretty sure it did yeah i'm surprised but like that kind of reminds me of yeah that reminds the Mayo Clinic and doing this very backwards, anti-scientific stance in front of all these people who are either fighting or dying of this disease. Anyways, we could talk about this all day. COVID-19 is actually not that scary it's like

you are in a way where people are on ventilators yeah he's like uh-huh and and i i support them anyway not real anyway yeah uh let's talk about kate hudson she had a weird little moment of like horny what might have been ism with jimmy fallon on the fallon show i don't know whether or not we chalk this up to corniness or if it's you know truly like jimmy fallon's bag as a host because famously him and nicole kidman were getting real flirty in an interview years ago and it was like what yeah they talked about a date they had gone on right yeah and it was very almost gone on yeah and it was very like i wanted to get it and you didn't make a move he's like so the the nice guy strikes back again uh because in an interview

with uh kate hudson she says hey like you know i saw that thing where you said you had had a crush on me and she said i had no idea you felt like that back in the day. And they go through this little sort of hypothetical exercise where Fallon responded, goes like, you know, well, I gave a little indication because I thought we were good together. You know, we were good buddies. We hung out all the time. And then Hudson replied, Jimmy, if you would have actually made a move, I would have totally gone there. I remember thinking to myself, why has Jimmy never made a move? And then kind of just realized, oh, he's not into me like that. And then said, like, had that happened, perhaps, quote, our whole life trajectory could have

been different. Wow. Not to. Yeah. I don't know what to do there. I mean, it's a very low stakes thing for her to be like, yeah, dude, totally. I was totally into it, man. But at the same time, like, I don't know.

It is something that, I'm not saying me, but I've heard of guys who said they used to be into somebody and the girl was just like oh that is so weird because oh you heard that that's so weird i heard much sweet i had much sweeter letdowns i'd be like yes i don't know maybe like on a date or something like i could take you out and they're like oh no there's no way like of course like i love hanging out with you, but like, we have such a good time and we laugh. Like, I'd hate to ruin that. And I'm like, uh-huh.

All right. Well, now I will go on to my MMA message board comment section and just redirect my energy there. Learn how to do a standing triangle choke. Directly from being turned down romantically to MMA chat boards. I think that is a very well-trod pathway. Yeah. I also realized, too, I had a pattern of just approaching women who were not interested in me.

And I was like, okay, first step, don't go after someone who's clearly not interested in you. Right. Who goes, ugh, and then spits on the ground at your feet. Or is always just like, oh, I went on the ground at your feet or is like always just like oh i went on a date with this guy or whatever i'm like yeah and then then she'll realize i'm the guy she should you know like just like the most traditional typical naive young guy thinking like not actually communicating out loud she loves to talk to me about her other boyfriends because she wants to bring up the subject of boyfriends with me.

To me, and then those guys see, and those guys comparatively are not as funny or nice to her as I am. It's just going to all fall into place, dude. You know what I mean? Boom. Eyes open. Diamond and Silk. Finally, Diamond and Silk.

Over the last few weeks, they have advanced some pretty interesting theories, conspiracies about the coronavirus. They've questioned the death toll. They've questioned whether the virus is being deliberately spread. They've suggested the deep state is working behind the scenes and that the whole thing is engineered. To the point, their misinformation was so irresponsible

that they were let go by Fox. Yeah. I think they, because they are so into saying whatever Trump like will make Trump happy that, yeah, that's where you have to go with it is like, I don't know, the deep state engineered this and, you know, it's fake, whatever. But I think really, too, Fox, a lot of people have been pointing to the fact that Fox could be opening themselves up to tremendous legal liability by continuing to have people like Tucker Carlson or Hannity or whoever just say these fully like full blown misinformation about the virus that could lead to someone's, you know, their safety being compromised or health being compromised. I mean, the problem is they should have never hired them in the first place. These are not journalists. They're just entertainers. But I get it. Like in the take a sphere,

you want these people to you want to monetize their hot takes because it'll get clicks. I don't know. Silk is a dogged investigative journalist. I've always followed her. Her investigations are interesting. Yeah. People are calling her the new Upton Sinclair. Finally, let's talk about UFOs because we've talked before about these videos. These are not new videos that are being released, but they are the videos that were circulating in the public domain for a while with a naval pilot being like, well, that's impossible that that thing is moving like that.

Well, that's not good. Now the Navy has confirmed, yes, those are Navy videos. Yeah. And also suggested that they're not that uncommon. They're like, yeah, we don't think they're aliens we see stuff like that all the time it's like well that means i guess you can't you can't go out there and be like yeah we think it's aliens because then that's gonna kick off a whole like

yeah i'm pretty sure those are aliens bro anyway but i think what's interesting is that they part of the dod release of it was very specific they said quote dod is releasing the videos in order to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage uh that has been circulating was real or whether or not uh there is more to the video so they're kind of like wanting to be like yeah this is happening okay i don't know what it is but you can decide what that is but we're not going to deny that these videos like we have been observing these unidentified crafts uh out there but yeah you know whatever very interesting stuff yeah i got i need somebody to direct me to a concise debunking of these videos or a concise explanation of what these videos are because uh i i still have yet to have somebody explain to me well this is just this or it could easily be this thing right and it is these are pretty mind-blowing uh anyways
