Starting point is 00:01:52 on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Presented by Elf Beauty, founding partner of iHeart Women's Sports. Hello, the internet, and welcome to this episode of new hampshire live freer geist uh it's another um what are those called licensed plate yeah what's that image on that new new hampshire like was that the old man on the mountain trend this guy you ever seen that thing you ever seen that yeah i actually did before uh thought they get eroded and all got all fucked up looking i mean that shit's just like off to the side of the free of like a highway and it's really i feel like new hampshire just seeing that i was like man
Starting point is 00:02:37 this is a boring state if that's what they got to brag about yeah it kind of looks like a man's face i get that like in the same way that like when you look at the outline of the states they kind of look like a face with the chef's hat on but not not that much right i was there because i remember it was when i was playing really yeah competitive hockey because we were going through uh dartmouth we were playing dartmouth's like team and that's what happened in new hampshire okay uh you know we put the we actually put the smash yeah it was kind of wild new hampshire is uh yeah but very big hockey town my uh high school bf uh was a hockey player from like massachusetts right up near new hampshire and we would go to the beach up there and as brian, Hanover is the worst.
Starting point is 00:03:25 It is a, it's a pretty boring state. Anyways, uh, I am Jack. You are miles. Uh, and we're actually going to dig into that very fact because urban dictionary is the number one trending thing on Google because apparently they put in a new
Starting point is 00:03:38 feature or maybe this has just been a feature. People are just discovering where you can search your name and find out what the urban dictionary mean is. um interesting let's do a quick experiment uh okay so i got uh jack a kid with a dick so big it doesn choked on his pants that's that's okay yeah okay now what what now it's what who am i uh let me look you up my let me listen you miles is a cute dark-haired guy with brown eyes and is yo this is too specific he's a cute brown-haired guy with brown eyes and is yo this is too specific he's a cute brown hair guy with brown eyes and is the sweetest guy and best boyfriend you could wish for oh my god he does have a case of rbf the fuck does that mean resting bitch face resting bastard face yeah okay but he's actually extremely caring and
Starting point is 00:04:39 empathetic but also super funny and smart what the the fuck? What? Yo. Yo, this is like three pages long. And they nailed it with your gigantic dick thing. Yeah, what the fuck? Yeah, these are pretty on point, it turns out. He's also a known lady killer. No, like a, like femicide. Like, seriously, watch the fuck out. Oh, I think you have a, he has an absolutely massive dick called the Big Mac.
Starting point is 00:05:03 What? That is almost 9 inches long and thick. I measured 6.5 inches around with some nice big balls attached to it. Alright. Urban Dictionary. You're drunk, Urban Dictionary. Go home.
Starting point is 00:05:17 I gotta give it up to you. I thought this was gonna be one thing and it is much stupider. Yeah, put yours in and let us know what you get for your name folks uh i will say these are as like people will sometimes say oh well that name actually means this and like say it with like a bunch of meaning uh that's just all made up y'all like that is yeah you can I can tell you your name means anything, like, on any website. Like, there are as many different name meanings as, like, you can Google, basically. But I personally subscribe to Urban Dictionary Name Challenge definitions.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Grammy noms are out. Cancel culture. I think we've been saying this for a long time i was cancel culture has gone way too far absolutely i mean doja cat uh louis ck dave chapelle like people who dropped you know works that are fine this year uh are actually all the fuck over these nominations yeah they're everywhere. And some snubs. Isaiah Rashad's album didn't get nominated either. That shit was really good.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Baby Keem got Best New Artist. So, top of the morning to him. Top of the morning. Yeah, I mean, look. They fuck these award shows, man. It's a lot of old people shit. Like, the Abba reunion thing is on there.
Starting point is 00:06:48 They always feel so stale. I know. But they, yeah. It is, like sometimes award shows just announce themselves as old as fuck, like right out of the gate. That's why we picture Oscar movies being anything with like a period piece that's like very slow and has people like kissing on a beach or something like that.
Starting point is 00:07:10 Yeah. It's all, it's just movies for, for the elderly. This is music for the elderly. But yeah. And it's, and yeah,
Starting point is 00:07:16 I think cause people have always, every time I feel like every year when the nominations come out at people, I was like, do people not, do they not know a half about half of the albums that came out this year that are way better than like this top 40 shit or just like top of mind uh releases without you know people digging deep but it's like all award shows you know people have uh like promotional uh pr pushes to get you to be like only this album came out this year please consider yeah uh to super producer brian's
Starting point is 00:07:46 point uh he it is worth noting macklemore beat kendrick 2014 that's what it was oh my god jesus christ man are you are we for real that's to pimple butterfly i think that's to pimple butterfly yeah oh my god no no it's good kid mad city which is my favorite album oh my god last oh right because that's the year 2014 okay i got it got it got wow wow wow that's yeah right i remember so that year drake nothing was the same jay-z magna carta holy grail which That year, Drake, Nothing Was The Same, Jay-Z, Magna Carta, Holy Grail, which, you know. Kendrick, Kid Mad City, my favorite album of the last 10 years, maybe my favorite album ever. Kanye West, Yeezus, and, you know,
Starting point is 00:08:36 I know that's not one of your favorites, but Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, baby. Get them, baby, because you're thrifting. I'm going to pop some tags. Okay, boy. Get him, baby, because you're thrifting. I'm going to pop some tags. Okay, boy. Go ahead. The next year, I could do this all day,
Starting point is 00:08:53 but the next year, Eminem's Marshall Mathers LP2 won. Oh my god. They were really on a run there. I can't tell what the trend is. I think they were trying to go for diversity those two years jesus christ um dollar tree is trending they're raising prices to 125 um they wonder what that'll do for profits pretty quick maths here yeah let's do some quick maths
Starting point is 00:09:22 uh this is gonna go by 25 percent yeah i blame poor people i blame poor people they're making i do too much money yeah i don't know i think that some of the tweets are like yo i feel so sorry for the people who work at dollar tree who are going to be treated as if they are in the c-suite of dollar tree when they're like right everything's a dollar 25 now and that's a lot that's a that's 20 that's a fucking huge markup oh yeah and i'm yeah like you couldn't do five cents do 10 cents but even then i feel like let's be real like you're not you're not upside down on your dollar business um so let's see start of the year their stock price was at 111 dollars um start of the day it was at actually so start like beginning of november it was like 110 um which is where it
Starting point is 00:10:19 has traditionally stuck at uh and then i think people caught wind that this was coming and today it jumped up to 144 dollars and 71 cents so of course it's way the fuck up because capitalism yeah rules and you're squeezing people who want to buy things that cost a dollar like that's a price threshold for consumers and you're like, wow, I hope you got, I hope you got 25% more for everything. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:51 All right. Let's take a quick break. We'll be right back. Hey, I'm Gianna Pradente. And I'm Jemay Jackson Gadsden. We're the hosts of Let's Talk Offline, a new podcast from LinkedIn News and iHeart Podcasts. When you're just starting out in your career, you have a lot of questions.
Starting point is 00:11:12 Like, how do I speak up when I'm feeling overwhelmed? Or, can I negotiate a higher salary if this is my first real job? Girl, yes. Each week, we answer your unfiltered work questions. Think of us as your work besties you can turn to for advice. And if we don't know the answer, we bring in experts who do, like resume specialist Morgan Saner. The only difference between the person who doesn't get the job
Starting point is 00:11:36 and the person who gets the job is usually who applies. Yeah, I think a lot about that quote. What is it, like you miss 100% of the shots you never take? Yeah, rejection is scary, but it's better than you rejecting yourself. Together, we'll share what it really takes to thrive in the early years of your career without sacrificing your sanity or sleep. Listen to Let's Talk Offline on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Jess Costavetto, executive producer of the hit Netflix documentary
Starting point is 00:12:06 series, Dancing for the Devil, the 7M TikTok cult. And I'm Clea Gray, former member of 7M Films and Shekinah Church. And we're the host of the new podcast, Forgive Me For I Have Followed. Together, we'll be diving even deeper into the unbelievable stories behind 7M Films and LA-based Shekinah Church, an alleged cult that has impacted members for over two decades. Jessica and I will delve into the hidden truths between high-control groups and interview dancers, church members, and others whose lives and careers have been impacted, just like mine. Through powerful, in-depth interviews with former members and new, chilling firsthand accounts, the series will illuminate untold and extremely necessary perspectives.
Starting point is 00:12:47 Forgive Me For I Have Followed will be more than an exploration. It's a vital revelation aimed at ensuring these types of abuses never happen again. Listen to Forgive Me For I Have Followed on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Carrie Champion,
Starting point is 00:13:04 and this is season four of Naked Sports, where we live at the intersection of sports and culture. Up first, I explore the making of a rivalry, Kaitlyn Clark versus Angel Reese. I know I'll go down in history. People are talking about women's basketball just because of one single game. Every great player needs a foil.
Starting point is 00:13:21 I ain't really near them boys. I just come here to play basketball every single day, and that's what I focus on. From college to the pros, Clark and Reese have changed the way we consume women's sports. Angel Reese is a joy to watch. She is unapologetically black. I love her. What exactly ignited this fire? Why has it been so good for the game? And can the fanfare surrounding these two supernovas be sustained? This game is only going to get better because the talent is getting better. This new season
Starting point is 00:13:50 will cover all things sports and culture. Listen to Naked Sports on the Black Effect Podcast Network, iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. The Black Effect Podcast Network is sponsored by Diet Coke. I've been thinking about you.
Starting point is 00:14:06 I want you back in my life. It's too late for that. I have a proposal for you. Come up here and document my project. All you need to do is record everything like you always do. One session. 24 hours. BPM 110.
Starting point is 00:14:22 120. She's terrified. Should we wake her up? Absolutely not. What was that? You didn't figure it out? I think I need to hear you say it. That was live audio of a woman's nightmare.
Starting point is 00:14:38 This machine is approved and everything? You're allowed to be doing this? We passed the review board a year ago. We're not hurting people. There's nothing dangerous about what you're doing. They're just dreams. Dream Sequence is a new horror thriller from Blumhouse Television, iHeartRadio, and Realm. Listen to Dream Sequence on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts and we're back and uh house of gucci is dropping house of gucci
Starting point is 00:15:16 goosh so we do have an announcement here super producer anna hosnia is holding a on a streaming corner extravaganza about house of gucci that's all we know at this time she's being very cryptic very cagey um we do recognize that we still need to do a regular in a streaming corner about uh reservation dogs um but but this is an emergency session this is going to be an emergency sesh uh patrol i'm i'm now way more intrigued by house of gucci than i was before and then i would have been if it got like unanimously positive reviews because the reviews are all over the place yeah some people seem to really not like it a lot of good reviewers seem to really not like it uh and he told me he thought it was a comedy i mean when i saw him he
Starting point is 00:16:07 was like yeah i think it's he's like it's i don't know it's entertaining he's like i don't know if it's a drama he was like he sincerely was sort of like i don't know he's like you should watch it though to figure it out for yourself what you think it is wow so i'm so based on that i love when someone who like an intelligent person i respect is like i don't like just bewildered by something that seems very straightforward like is it good or is it bad is it drama is it comedy and all you can say is no i'm not entirely sure yeah i think that generally though like a lot of my favorite movies are like come out and it's not it's not like they found audiences. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:47 Yeah. The fuck was that? Right. Like Orange County. Yeah. Like Orange County, for instance. I think that's the classic example. Classic.
Starting point is 00:16:55 I think. Yeah. Keanu Reeves is trending. Why? It's just like, nah, never. That's that's the one dude. Like, I feel like we don't. He'll never die.
Starting point is 00:17:04 Right. I'm cursing him. But like, I feel like, yeah, first of all, never. That's the one dude, like, I feel like we don't. He'll never die, right? I'm cursing him, but, like, I feel like, yeah, first of all, he'll never die. Second of all, it'll never be, like, a story about how he was showing his dick to people or whatever. Right. Yeah, he's, I mean, that's, he only has, like, very great anecdotes. The mythology around Keanu Reeves is very uh it's ironclad and it's wild that he doesn't show his dick to more people because uh his dick is so big it doesn't fit on his pants hey what's a keanu in a dictionary uh it's just like a really sweet story uh from
Starting point is 00:17:38 sandra bullock uh she's saying that he's a listener very quiet but like is always listening to everything people say. Like she had offhandedly said she'd never had champagne and truffles. And a few days later he showed up with both and flowers on his way to a date with someone else just because he thought she might like to finally try the combo. Wow. Just like,
Starting point is 00:18:02 you know, and he's like best friends with everyone he's ever dated so like you know he's like i don't know right yeah just a kind person god i thought i thought it was going to be something really cool but i just want to say according to urban dictionary uh keanu is a guy no matter how much you try not to love him he will always be the number one boyfriend you could ever have had oh even urban dicks it's unanimous no matter what a keanu will make you smile yeah i mean that's true yeah it's damn true um sorry you'd arrive with a note or a little package saying i thought about what you said and he would have his so all right she talks about when i first met him i would spend as much
Starting point is 00:18:43 time as i could feeling a silence just to feel comfortable and the more i jibber jabbered on the quieter he would get and i thought i don't understand what's happening he's looking at me with eyes of confusion he's quiet did i say something to offend him and then a day or two later he would arrive with a note or a little package saying i thought about what you said and he would have his response wow i wish i was comfortable enough to do that because usually i'm just like panicking that i don't know what to say to somebody yeah if it was me like that bit would be i'd give him a thing like yo i'm sorry i wasn't speaking i i was just so high and uncomfortable um right here please take this cookie basket token of my appreciation for engaging with me
Starting point is 00:19:25 there you go uh unite the right is trending for arguably the best reason it could be trending for that trial went the wrong way for the uh unite the right organizers that group of uh racismos uh they are up they're on the hook for 25 million in liability oh no uh for you know just damages and people who suffered uh during that horrific horrific event in 2017 um and if you kept up with the trial i mean this if if this didn't go this way you'd have been like this is the like they were the their defense was terrible they were like up there being like i don't know if i've ever said racist stuff and then they would just read whole chat transcripts back to them and like oh yeah maybe i did say that uh that was me wow that's
Starting point is 00:20:14 me well that's not my name it's like yeah because that was an avatar and a username you're using but that's from your that's you oh okay yeah here's your head roughly crudely photoshopped onto uh pepe's body yeah so exactly this is a gif of you morphing into pepe and finally uh thanksgiving is upon us day after tomorrow day after um tomorrow yeah are you like cowboys or the lions who play on who play on thanksgiving the packers cowboys and lions always always play it's cowboys and lions right not not against each other but they're always the teams playing yeah america's teams uh america's team the lions uh i feel like green bay also plays usually i don't know man uh feeling good about thanksgiving i'm feeling very good about thanksgiving because my in-laws are here i love my in-laws yeah and it's just fun as hell they haven't like been around our kids in
Starting point is 00:21:12 a long time and just everything our kids do they're like wow this is fucking amazing they're just like you've seen this you're like yeah yeah man oh yeah every day no it's uh it's actually like when you live with it it's kind of a lot but i'm glad that you are appreciating the cognitive development and you're cooking who's cooking uh we're doing the american stuff we're just gonna get from whole foods and then uh my uh oma is making a bunch of korean food so yeah yeah just don't even bother with the traditional shit you know what i mean yeah how's that i was like ah you know i really like stuffing maybe i can make that and then i was like nah fuck that i think i am gonna make my mom's mac and cheese which is pretty pretty dirty it has been called uh heroin uh food heroin by people who've tried it
Starting point is 00:22:01 so no by people who tried heroin so yeah people have done both actually kind of a weird thing but it's pretty good all i say you will be nodding off because it's so heavy after you read it all right well uh that's gonna do it for us yeah on this tuesday uh we are back tomorrow with a whole ass episode of the show. One last trends and then we are off for Thanksgiving. But yeah, until then, be kind to each other. Be kind to yourselves. Get the booster. Get the vaccine.
