Starting point is 00:00:05 Today is Selma Hayek's birthday. Oh, what is she like, 68 or some impossible age? No, she's not. Yes, she is. I remember and everyone was like, I remember last year. This is over. She's so fine. No, you know, my favorite thing, my favorite thing about her is on Penelope Cruz's birthday.
Starting point is 00:00:25 She posted, Selma posted a photo of herself in a bikini, like to celebrate Penelope's birthday. Hey, we look good, don't we? Yeah. She literally did that. She literally did that. She's probably around the same. She's probably like late 50s. But anyways, I was like so obsessed.
Starting point is 00:00:41 52, Penelope Cruz. I didn't realize they were that much, she was that much younger. 60. Selma just did another Sports Illustrated, another Sports Illustrated bikini this past month. So just want everyone to know. Do I keep up with all of them? Yes. I've never been walked from my own show, but that came pretty close to doing it, man.
Starting point is 00:01:03 60. I know. She's... Oh, fuck. She's going strong. I'd say. I'd say so. This is getting too weird and horrible.
Starting point is 00:01:12 I'm like, I'd say so. A little bit. Wow. Wow. No, one time... One of the... I don't follow the Bachelor L, but there was, like, one Bachelorette was, I guess, like, 36 or something.
Starting point is 00:01:27 And some guy was like, oh, I've never been into... That's way too old. And I was like, Selma Hayek is... At the time, I think she was like 55. I was like, she's in her 50s. And I don't know. Like, I would literally like run away with her. And she, she screenshot it.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Put it on her Instagram. So high. Yeah. And she was like, thank you, Danny. Wow. Like she literally, I'm like, so she knows. Yep. She knows anytime.
Starting point is 00:01:51 I'll be her pool boy. Anytime. She's married to a billionaires. But I'm like, I will be your side piece. Yeah. Any day. That's the one thing that's kind of a bummer. I'm like, no, so why are you going to be with a billionaire?
Starting point is 00:02:02 Yeah. Yeah. No. You should be with like a podcaster or something. I don't know. Just to pull something completely. Someone who's kind of into like nerd shit. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:02:11 You know? Who really thought you were playing guitar and desperado in that one scene? I really believed it. Someone who could teach you stuff about. But I guess like Gucci and Valenciaaga, I guess being married to the guy who owns all those brands is cool. Crazy you work. She's a grandma, by the way. Come on.
Starting point is 00:02:29 Sorry, y'all are both married. I'm going to look at it. No, I'm going to do it. I'm like that. And I'm a liking. I'm looking. Do you ever talk about a celebrity hall pass? Not really.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Yeah, that's something I did when I wasn't in a marriage to someone. You know what I mean? Like that was the thing when I dated people that would come up a lot. But it's weird. I never actually, I'm trying to think of, I think maybe for her majesty would be like David Boreannis
Starting point is 00:02:54 because she was such an angel fan. But even then she met him when she worked at Cordon was like bummed out because she was like, he's just some fucking guy. It's also like, Yeah, and I'm like, yeah, he's not angel, the fucking tortured vampire with a heart. Yeah, that is disappointing. I was over for that.
Starting point is 00:03:10 Once you live in L.A., too, it's a little bit like, you're banging them all, anyway, you know what I mean? Up top. Up top, man. This is an I-Heart podcast. Starting point is 00:04:05 We host the podcast, Hollywood Handbook. Each week, we talk to someone in show business and try to help them with their and see what they have to offer us. Everyone has a good time and no one gets mad at their publicists for letting them do our show. We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman, Adam Scott, Danny McBride, Ben Stillard, and a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I survived nine months in captivity and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive
Starting point is 00:04:37 what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth Smart. and these are the Survivor Files. Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable, abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced. These are stories about what it takes to make it out alive. Listen to the Survivor Files with Elizabeth Smart on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:05:02 On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinero and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first.
Starting point is 00:05:23 I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita trading the pity for possibility. Listen to Solita on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Our hometown is not a test tube. 90 miles northeast of Nashville, a battle for the future of America, plays out in one small town. Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land. We need cities on a shining hill.
Starting point is 00:05:53 This is Our Town, a podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment and fights back. Guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you? Listen to Our Town on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hello, the internet, and welcome to season 454, episode four of Dernaley, Zikes! So many fours. This is a production of My Heart Radio. This is a podcast where you take a deep dive into America's shared consciousness through the day's news. I thought it was a really good observation up top that there were a lot of fours.
Starting point is 00:06:31 That's pretty cool, dude. How'd you come up with that, man? You've been working on that? I'm just riffing, man. I'm just pulling stuff out of the air around me. They're paying off. We also have a history version of the day. Zikeis dropping each Monday morning called the iconograph.
Starting point is 00:06:46 We do a deep dive in the zeitgeist through the lens of a different icon. We have recently done Madonna. We have recently rerun Dolly. Yep. And then just this very week, we did Garfield. Yep. The Garf. The Garf, man.
Starting point is 00:07:00 The Garfman. Indiana's own. Jim Davis. Anyways, I have a lot to say about Indiana and its role in the 1980s as the center of the world. But right now here, it's a lot. Thursday, September 3rd, 2026. Yeah, it's skyscraper day. It's time. Wait a second. Yeah. What the fuck. It's also International Cabernet Day. That skyscraber day feels like a bit of a little weird foreshadowing. I mean what? We could possibly, what could we possibly commemorating, be commemorating in eight days?
Starting point is 00:07:35 We have talked recently about this account that has been live tweeting all. Oh, yeah, 2020. 2000 and live tweets, yeah, yeah. Or 2020 or 2001 or 2001. 2001 live tweets. And it's just like the news from that day and it will have like eight tweets a day of like what happened in 2001. And they keep being like one of the news items will be like. And local airline officials keep telling the FBI that these two men are taking flight lessons to and not asking for instructions on how to land. And people are like, man, I don't remember the news having this.
Starting point is 00:08:12 much foreshadowing in the year 2001. That's nuts. Yeah. Well, it actually was started in 1996, so maybe it really pre-staged, but I have no idea. And also, it's fucked up, man. It's also, they should have gone on nine through, on national
Starting point is 00:08:28 skyscraper day instead of 9-11. Yeah, bad branding. It's also National Welsh Rarebit Day, which I always didn't know what that was. It's, it's toast with a cheesy sauce on it. And it's rare bit? Yeah, it's called Welsh Rarebit. It seems like it should have meat, but it's just a cheesy sauce.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Because in your mind, you're like, what is that, rabbit? Yeah. No. I was thinking of rare, rare meat. Oh, with rare bits on it. Yeah, rare bits. Give me only the rarest bits. I don't need them.
Starting point is 00:08:55 My name is Jack O'Brien, AKA, well, I'm standing in the corner of the fart zone. What a fine life I lead. Because I blast this gas straight from my ass, and no one's going to laugh at me. Jack said, maybe. this would save me from the lifelong nervousness that seems to plague me that one courtesy of David Lesser
Starting point is 00:09:22 on the Discord. It's an eagle song. Yeah. But I vaguely remember as I always say. Take it easy. Take it easy on those farts, my guy. You barely remember that song.
Starting point is 00:09:33 That feels like one of those eagle songs that even if you hate the eagles, you just like, yeah. I was just trying to come up with an excuse for singing it badly, Miles. Oh, okay, sorry. Let me have this. The whites are going to disown you, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:44 You've butchered the Eagles yet again. I'm off this. This guy's a joker. Thrill to be joined, as always, by my co-host, Mr. Miles Grey. It's Miles Gray. Who'd they say is dead now? Bindy's time has run out. Ah, ha, posting no bits from the future.
Starting point is 00:10:04 That should land you in jail. Bindy, I guess I'll miss you, Bindy. Wendy, okay, shout out to Snarkula for that one. Special's reference. The gray whistle test performance of that is iconic. If you want to see them, say, perform a message to you, Rudy. But that was a reference to everybody. A reference to you, Rudy.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Yeah, yeah. It's dead when she's not. Bindy, Irwin is fine. Oh, and now I remember it. Yep. I was entranced by your performance and forgot the news reference. Am I skanking? And you're amazing skanking.
Starting point is 00:10:40 If only you guys can be in the, the room. Miles, we're thrilled to be joined in our third seat once again. Been too long by a talented writer, host, actress, improviser, you know, are from Dimension 20 on Dropout. He heard of that. HBO, Disney, all the places. Danny Fernandez. Danny! Dan Dan Dan! I never know if I'm supposed to exist while y'all are BSing. Okay, I'm sure some people do and like, I just don't know. do and they're very rude. We do not approve of it, but we've never said it before. Should I pretend that I'm not in the room and then I just walk in when you?
Starting point is 00:11:18 It's like Johnny, I almost said Johnny Carson. Wow. I wasn't even alive for Johnny Carson. From behind the curtain. Yeah. Next time we're going to insist probably when we do it in person, be like, can you just lower your eyes until we reference you and then you're like activated? Yeah, like a Manchurian candidate.
Starting point is 00:11:33 I was holding in my laughter. I'll say that. Good. We do not want anyone to. That's why there was no laugh. She was holding it in for the sake of the show. We don't want evidence that anyone was laughing at this. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Never, never. It's great to have you back. How are you doing? How are you doing? I said that last time I was here was during spooky season. I think I only come during Halloween season. That's true. And I come out of my grave.
Starting point is 00:11:55 You're summoned. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We use the Ouija board and you're like, it's time for Danny. Yeah. When I introduced Danny, she popped up like a, like Dracula straight up, you know, like on a spring.
Starting point is 00:12:08 Yeah. It is in course strength. At the Spirit Halloween. His ankles must be fucked up doing that shit. Because that's where it's coming from, right? You're saying if he's anchoring his legs at the bottom of the coffin. Or maybe he's just floating. He's probably just floating.
Starting point is 00:12:21 It's not a... When a vampire comes out of a macket... No, it's got to be all abs. Somebody asked, why are there no poor vampires? Can you imagine being alive since the 1700s? Accumulation. Yeah. And not having a head start.
Starting point is 00:12:37 Yeah. Easy. But there should be some poor. vampires. I want to, like there should be some idiot van, they're not all smart.
Starting point is 00:12:43 Right, right, right. I mean, if they're human, what we're doing in the shadows reference some idiotic ones.
Starting point is 00:12:47 That's true. That's true. But I guess you have to be comedic to acknowledge that. Like it would be nice to see like a version of Bram Stoker's Dracula where there's like, there's fucking Philip.
Starting point is 00:12:55 I'm having trouble making ends meet. Yeah. Yeah. It's like what happened? You've been alive for 7,000 years. Yeah. You had all that gold. Fucking idiot.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Yeah. I don't, guys, I don't know. I'm just so bad with this, these de blooms. Yeah. European accents can really do a lot for people.
Starting point is 00:13:13 I'll tell you what, man. Yeah. People are like, this guy knows what he's talking about. I'm going to let him kind of nuzzle my neck for a little bit. He says he's a wide receiver for the 49ers. Wow. I believe him. We're going to talk about him.
Starting point is 00:13:25 It's time. Danny, we're going to get to know you a little bit better in a moment. First, we're going to tell the listeners a couple of things we're talking about. We're going to talk about how the anti-left freak out machine might be in trouble. based on some recent comments from one, Joe Rogan. Oh, boy. So we'll talk about that.
Starting point is 00:13:43 We'll talk about the latest twist on Ebenezer Scrooge, Ty West, the guy made like X and, you know, those horror movies and stuff. He's making the new Johnny Depp's Scrooge movie, and it's got an interesting, an interesting little twist. Okay, good. That I think is pretty fun, perfect for our time of like, what if Scrooge was like right, though? Like, honestly.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Scrooge was actually abused by Amber Hurd. That'd be crazy. We might talk Faramomaxing. We will definitely talk, of course, about Dejohn Love. Our favorite, I have my fantasy draft last night. I tried to draft him. They didn't have them, huh? Yeah, they didn't have them.
Starting point is 00:14:26 Oh, I hate to see it. Yeah, new NFL Hall of Famer, scam Hall of Famer. NFL Hall of Famer. NFL Hall of Famer. He is Scam Hall of Famer. Yeah. Truly amazing. work.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Yeah. God. Do you imagine being another scammer and seeing this and being like, how do I get the information of the people you scammed? How did you find the most gullible? Yeah, yeah. What kind of lists are you coming through for that? Is there access to that?
Starting point is 00:14:52 My man. What great work on his part. Anyways, we're going to talk about all of that plenty more. But first, Danny, we do like to ask our guests. What is something from your search history that's revealing about who you are? Okay, my search history was Tim Curry, handsome, Tim Curry hot, Tim Curry partner, Tim Curry married. Wow, you want to see everything. I want to see everything. Yeah, and like you couldn't, obviously there are a lot of hot photos of him, but nobody knows any of his partners. Really? That's like pretty hard to do.
Starting point is 00:15:25 Wow. Especially like nowadays and with social media and like paparazzi. Are there rumors like of who his partners have been? There's rumors that he was with his manager because they're always seen together. but they've said that they're just friends. Although he did, I think, leave his estate to her. But, like, he's never been married. That's known. But he's a very attractive, seemingly sexual. He does have a sexual energy to him, doesn't it?
Starting point is 00:15:48 And I found out, y'all, he played Gomez Adams. Because I thought I was like, he has a very Gomez Adams, like, bisexual energy to him. And he did play Gomez Adams in a movie, I guess, that was meant to be a pilot. it maybe, but it was Adam's family reunion. And I... Oh, damn. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Look at that. I need to watch it. So this was like peak... Why didn't get Daryl Hannah that big ass forehead? Daryl Hannah, yes, and Daryl Hannah. Her forehead looks like she has... Like she had, she drank that tonic that was it Ken Griffey Jr. did in the Simpsons episode?
Starting point is 00:16:23 Or was it Daryl Strawberry? Whose head got all big in that Simpsons episode? Was it Barry Bonds? No. Oh, okay. You don't remember like... You could just go to real baseball players and talk about Barry Bonds. You know whose head does?
Starting point is 00:16:34 Have you ever seen the guys coming back from their Turkish hairplants and their hair. Like, literally they look like that. Literally they look like that in all the TikToks. Why does their head like swell up? Yes. You know what? Yes. Off mic. I might have Tim Curry T. actually off mic. Okay. Oh, off mic. Now that I'm seeing things. I'm like, wait. I might be able to put something. Well, anyways, he gives very. There's literally a cloud of facts swirling around miles of head around. Now, facts and light. I just want to say, no, as a bisexual, everyone's always like, the mummy, the mummy is a bisexual. I think Clue.
Starting point is 00:17:08 Clue is like the redheaded stepchild bisexual awakening movie. Everybody in there is hot. And Tim Curry giving big buy energy, as always. So, yeah, I don't know any of his partners. Was he by in reality or we just don't know. We don't know. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Hell yeah. Canonically, we have claimed him. Right, right, right. So. I did not know the mummy was canonically by. Oh, a thousand percent. I guess I'm just not up on my buy movies. Jack, you are not an ally.
Starting point is 00:17:36 What makes it by? I mean, it has two of the heart. I mean, the whole cast. I think that's the whole thing is like the sexual attention, but also you're like, oh, do, do I like this person? Do I like this person? Yeah. Or, porcena los dos. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Literally. Literally. And that's how I feel about Clue. The mummy colon, porcane all those those. Parenthetical eyebrows going up and down. Anyways, a mummy always gets, gets, gets, bros. brought up during our, actually I think it's by visibility time. So anyways, I brought up at a good time.
Starting point is 00:18:05 But the clue should be in there with them, in my humble opinion. Brendan Fraser is, Fraser was introducing Bjork in one of the clips for our Bjork episode that I was watching, one of the SNL performances. And it is the most smoldering eye-fucking of a camera that I've ever seen. It was like Mummy era Brendan Fraser. and he's just like looking into the camera and he's like, ladies and gentlemen, Bjork, but it's just, it's wild.
Starting point is 00:18:35 I was like, damn, man. Telling you to take off your pants. Yeah. Remember him in airheads? I looked down and they were just off. Yeah. Yeah. All right, O'Brien, what's going on?
Starting point is 00:18:45 Don't say you saw a clip of Brendan Fraser again. I swear to God. They just blew off. Blew right off me. What is something you think is underrated? Underrated? Okay, I think, like, leaving. good reviews. I feel people only leave
Starting point is 00:19:01 reviews when it's bad when you're complaining. But I feel so many indie, like mom and pop stores and even like your favorite artists that might be a little underground. Like people just don't leave or your favorite podcast. People don't I feel like a lot of times leave good reviews. Like they don't take one step
Starting point is 00:19:16 because when you're angry and you're enticed and you're like, I need everyone to know this. People will literally be like, I created an account just to leave this review. You're right now. I don't usually do this. I don't usually do this. Yeah. But yeah, so I feel like people should, if you like something, that's the same thing with, I feel like online, like people are always complaining about like shitty show or like, like, I binge watch this like hate watch this show or whatever.
Starting point is 00:19:39 I'm like what about shit that you like. What you like? Literally. Yeah. Oh, boy. Yeah. I do this really weird thing. I love watched a whole show in like a week.
Starting point is 00:19:49 What do you mean? Like, oh, is it I loved watching it. Yeah. I loved watching it and enjoyed it deeply and felt better after I like to get angry. Yeah. And think about my middle school bullies somehow at the same time. Yeah. That's what does well. If you like shit on a show and then that gets because people talk about it. It's pretty backwards. I think like for example, like whenever I try and find like a handy person or something and I look on Yelp, I try and find a person who doesn't have a ton of reviews to help them get like, because usually people are like hustling like for like little odd jobs and things like that. And I'm always like, I got you. And I'll do an overly wordy review a lot of the times to be like this person is honest and honorable. Something that is missing. Something that is. from our world today.
Starting point is 00:20:30 If you need a light fixture installed, please call Max. He will honor you. A light bulb installed. Yeah. Yeah. He's a fucking wizard. Man, such a fair price for a light bulb exchange.
Starting point is 00:20:42 It's like 70 bucks. Yeah. Yeah. More good reviews for mom and pop stores and like individual people. I feel like fewer good. The thing that I'm always blown away by is in app store when you like go to Uber. And it's like to update it And it's like
Starting point is 00:21:00 Five million five star reviews I'm like who the fuck is like Who is just like Yes Uber five stars Wow Best ride in my life Yeah You hit buttons and a car comes
Starting point is 00:21:10 You can give the driver Five stars Yeah Like giving the app Five stars Like these are monsters These are fucking Absolutely
Starting point is 00:21:17 I love the Airbnb app Right I don't say My favorite app Yeah More people have voted Five stars On the Airbnb app
Starting point is 00:21:26 Than like voted for the last presidential election. That's crazy. Yeah. Leave good reviews, though. Yeah. What is something you think is overrated? Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:34 As a horror baby, horror is my favorite genre. I'm going to get a lot of flack for this, but celebrating Halloween early is overrated. What does that mean? It means like September is fine. September, October, I get it. Some of y'all celebrating in July and August when the Halloween decorations start to go. August is not, one, pumpkin spice latte starts. in August and that is an abomination.
Starting point is 00:21:59 It was 100, it was 100 degrees. Yeah. And I'm only saying it as a horror person because it loses some of its magic if you're selling, if it's like year round. Right. You know, I just feel like we need, the Halloween decorations shouldn't come out until September. I agree. I agree.
Starting point is 00:22:16 Yeah. No, no, don't stand on that shit. I stand on it. There you go. Don't, don't wilt away from that tape. If we're going to do capitalism, we have to do it correctly, okay? Don't give them your money in July and August. I wonder.
Starting point is 00:22:26 Because Victor was saying in the Philippines, it's Christmas decorations like early, right? September 1st. Christmas. So I'm curious, is there a country that's doing that with Halloween? They're like, oh, you know what it is. It's 6.8 weeks until Halloween. You got that. The shit's going up.
Starting point is 00:22:42 You know how Mariah on Halloween night has the thing where she turns all the Halloween decorations into Christmas decorations? Is there, what are we going from into Halloween decorations? Can we just enjoy summer? Back to school. Back to school. Back to school. you know, we got the...
Starting point is 00:22:56 And that's happening earlier in early. And it is. It really is. My niece and nephew went back to school in July. No, they did. Yes, they did. That's a fucking crime. That's climate change. No, it's too hot. I swear to God it is too hot for them. Where the fuck are they?
Starting point is 00:23:09 They're in Arizona. In Mount Doom. No, literally, I think a lot of kids... Trying to cast the ring of minions. There are a lot of kids in hotter places go back to school earlier because they can't be outdoors. That's fair. I guess. That makes sense. And that way they enjoy... No, they don't.
Starting point is 00:23:25 So I just thought Dana Donnelly was just talking about how she was like my husband, I always feel bad for him because we have like pumpkin spice season and like fashion season. And I was like, man, this like sucks for you. You don't have anything. And she was like and he wasn't listening to me because he was reading about football. And I was like, ah, yes, they have football. Like football season, I feel like starts right. I feel like that should be that once once people start talking about football and being like the seasons basically started, even though it's pre-game. Preseason. Preseason games are like don't matter whatsoever. Like once that starts, it's like, okay, you can have your Halloween. But that is end of August. It is end of August. No, I'm not giving it up until September. September 1st you get it.
Starting point is 00:24:06 Also, don't tie Halloween to the NFL. Right. That's true. Halloween is bigger than that. No, it is definitely bigger. The NFL should be tight. CTE is scary. Yeah, okay?
Starting point is 00:24:13 So there are some spooky things. Spooky. So are you good with September 1st being? Yes. And like, should we have a ritual of some sort that's like, yeah, this evening. We burn the summer man or something like in effigies. Well, it is when Burning Man happens. So maybe that's what it was.
Starting point is 00:24:30 It's not even the official start of fall. Because fall doesn't start the fall solstice or whatever. Right, till late September. So y'all pulling it up. It just makes it. So I don't know. Well, y'all have kids so it's different. But for the rest of us, actual Halloween night, October 31st, means very little.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Right. Because all the parties are beforehand, all the celebrations beforehand, that on that actual day, I feel like most people who are kid-free, like, are not, I don't know. Like all the parties that my friends have are normally the weekend before. It's like the busiest weekend of my life. It's more fun in the lead up. Well, we're lucky though this year because Halloween's on a Saturday. Because usually when it's in the week, it's always like on either side of that day.
Starting point is 00:25:09 But it's on Saturday now. We're going full out Halloween week. Yeah. The seven days of Halloween are coming for all of our house. I have a couple friends who do an annual Halloween party and like they go fucking hard. It's crazy. But like to the point where like they in their invite this, you're like, we're going to dial it not as many sword swallowers
Starting point is 00:25:27 or mermaid swimming in the foggy haze pool or fire breathers this year more just like normal stuff like bobbing for apples because they like truly like one time they went so hard and there barely any people were there and like damn too much
Starting point is 00:25:41 yeah they're like you don't deserve this people outnumbering us at this point but that's okay you RSPED yes to the party full show up yeah exactly they're fully millennials so it's still paperless post okay okay
Starting point is 00:25:53 Amazing. All right. We're going to take a quick break, and we're going to come back and talk about the news. We'll be right back. Behind every night spent making the kids' lunches, there's a lot of suspense. Will they finally eat the veggies? Will the pesto survive the first bite? Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full, or come home at all? And will you finish episode eight before you're done slicing the cucumbers? I survived and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth Smart and these are the survivor files. I just remember this low, taunting voice next to my ear saying shut up, don't say anything.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable. I knew if he woke up, without a doubt, he was going to hurt me. I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed, and I just started screaming. They are abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced. But these aren't stories about what's taken from them. There's stories about what it takes to make it out alive. Listen to the Survivor Files with Elizabeth Smart on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On the new podcast Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman.
Starting point is 00:27:41 I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinero, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can see. say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people and they were like, you smiled at us. Not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind, or wake up to a new version of yourself. So,
Starting point is 00:28:22 So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip, I hope you listen to Solita on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, this is Hayes Davenport. And Sean Clements. We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook on the Big Money Players Network. Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners. Each week, we talk to someone in show business, aka the biz, and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us. Everyone has a good time and no one gets mad at their publicists for letting them do our show.
Starting point is 00:28:56 We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman, not that great. Actually, can you help me shape this? How about we flip it on his head, right? How about we flip this script? What is the surprise woman? Actually, you think is the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird. Adam Scott. This entire time, you've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to the,
Starting point is 00:29:21 visit the show. I would never expect. I would never set expectations for something like that to happen. If the universe allows for something like that to happen, I'm open to it. I'm always going to accept. You know, Danny McBride, fine.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity exuding. I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you. I was like, is that weed? Nope. It's fragile masculinity. Man Stiller, no. Because a lot of times out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:29:56 They're like, oh, what's a state? Everyone's so dumb. And fake. Right. Fake and also not interested or just like, oh, I've got my life. I don't care about your life. And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show and he wants to be a guest on every episode, but he's just so busy.
Starting point is 00:30:18 Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcast. or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Munggisha together and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive. This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones and brain replacement to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about and what it really means to live forever for all of us. I learned about some rad science. I can make a brain for you and then we can test what draw is the
Starting point is 00:30:51 best for your brain, as opposed to his brain. Here are some hard truths. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five year acceleration. And get myself into a world of trouble. I'd say probably start bones smashing. That doesn't work. To make it look more defined.
Starting point is 00:31:12 They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And we're back. We're back. And so a couple stories happening, but I just, I'm starting to think that, you know how everybody was talking about Joe Rogan of the left?
Starting point is 00:31:41 How important it is for Joe Rogan to the left to, for the Democrats to identify Joe Rogan of the left. Unless he's getting Abdul El-Sayed in a Senate race. Well, yeah. And then they were given the Joe Rogan to the left and Hassan Piker and they were like, not like this. No, no, I'm sorry. We need like a centrist Joe Rogan of the center.
Starting point is 00:32:02 Yeah. That's what they meant. So I'm starting to think Joe Rogan of the left might just be Joe Rogan's name like Jesus of Nazareth. Like Joe Rogan of the left. Because listen to this talking. Listen to these talking points. Do you want to play it? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Can we just play this real quick? Just imagine how much less crime there would be if no one was ever starving. Oh, wait a second. No one was ever desperate. No one was ever worried about where the next meal was going to come from or whether or not they're going to have a roof over the head. What hell is this guy talking about? It would change a lot of people's perspective because how many people act in a famine way? They have a famine way.
Starting point is 00:32:43 Act in a famine way. He's still getting his mind. He's still a fucking moron. This is new for him. We're going to just go letting him say stuff. Yeah, you're being all famine. I mean, I'm desperate to survive. Is that what you're saying?
Starting point is 00:32:56 Yeah, yeah. mentality and the world fuck me over so I'm gonna fuck the world over what if the world didn't fuck you over what if like there's no more poverty
Starting point is 00:33:04 what if the concept of poverty is like completely out the window wait what there is no poverty in this country go on we could have already
Starting point is 00:33:10 done that already we could have already done that yeah sure it took his black guest to be like okay are you done so y'all could have been doing
Starting point is 00:33:18 that already this is a thing right right right yeah yeah but you would have to get all those rich people that are in charge of industry
Starting point is 00:33:26 and running corporations and government to agree to make the world a better place for everyone. The people who I usually have on my podcast. Yes, yes, yes. The people you platformed. Yeah, obviously coming through a little late on this one and he'll probably have Peter Thiel on tomorrow who's being like,
Starting point is 00:33:41 nothing can be achieved without profit motive and therefore I need your reproductive fluid. We actually need famine mentality. Yes. So back can usher in feast mentality and acting in a feast kind of way rather than a famine kind of way. Everyone's so famine-y.
Starting point is 00:33:56 I just got to say, though, if I'm on the Peter Thiel side, I'm on the left-wing freak outside, this is not a good sign. Well, he does this all the time, though, you know? He really does. Joe Rogan Hill, he gets called out, and then he's like, actually, like, Trump's kind of bad. It's like, because you're getting called out. And like a lot of people, other comics, too, are like, this guy is so compromised. Sure, sure, sure.
Starting point is 00:34:17 Like, it's unbelievable that this feels like a Joe Rogan's, like, light freak out correction where he's like, because he has these moments where he does, like, since, really go, whoa, shit. What if? Says the guy with hundreds of millions of dollars? Says it like he's inventing it for the first. Like, this is the first person who's ever said this before. He's like, it's actually a nickel back song I'm thinking of.
Starting point is 00:34:41 No, I think it's because, like, he's always talking about like microdosing shrooms, which I love. Shout out to shrooms. And I feel like they're actually in some way, like helping us of like slowly transforming his. Like for maybe one second a day, he actually sees the truth before going back to. Right. All of the BS. I just think it's got to be getting harder for maybe this is just like normal for Joe Rogan, but I do feel like it's got to be getting harder for people to who are like paying attention
Starting point is 00:35:08 and microdosing shrooms. And so they have elastic minds to continue to be like seeing it any other. Yeah. Trump is like, first of all, you should take less vacations. Second of all, I don't give a fuck. I'm just building this literal gilded cage of a ballroom. I'm cutting down the cherry trees in D.C. Did you see that?
Starting point is 00:35:26 He's taking it. They fucking, like, what the fuck? We're going to drill in the national parks. And then. I'm going to give somebody a piece of Yosemite. Right. Yeah. It's nuts.
Starting point is 00:35:35 Yosemite. Yosemite. Yeah. Sorry. Yeah. I'm sure. And then later in that segment, Joe said, if everyone cared and nobody cried, if everyone loved and nobody lied, if everyone shared and swallowed their pride, then we'd see the day when nobody
Starting point is 00:35:49 died. Wow. And I'm singing a, yeah. That's a nickel back song. Yeah. But that is what he's getting it. I just started crying when you read the lyric. It's beautiful.
Starting point is 00:35:59 Maybe Nickelback has been on that shit all along. Yeah. But I, you know, he has these moments. Tucker Carlson has these moments. Sure. But like to your point, everyone else, like, we can't see it another way. Sure. Because we live on earth.
Starting point is 00:36:16 You know what I mean? And we know how difficult things are. The only people that can't are like the Joe Rogans and the Trumps of the world who are so, the only people that. in flashes. Yeah. And they're like, ooh,
Starting point is 00:36:26 that guy, that was a scary person outside of my car, my armored car that's driven by Navy seals. Yeah. Those are the flashes
Starting point is 00:36:33 they get where we're seeing it fucking 24 frames a second constant. I feel like speaking of Ebenezer Scrooge, they have like the Jacob Marley probably that haunts them
Starting point is 00:36:42 at night, you know, and they just get like a nightmare and then wake up and they're like, oh God, thank God, thank God I'm a multi-millioner. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:48 He's like, remember me, man, I'm a sex crim. It's literally Brian Calh. Waking him up. He's like, hey, man, can you help me? Wonderful transition. Wonderful segue, Danny.
Starting point is 00:36:58 Because we've learned a little bit more. So at, was it Comic-Con where they were like, we brought Johnny Depp out as Evan need to be sick. It's Johnny Depp. You loved Captain Jack Sparrow. Well, what if he was miserly and mean to the poor? Right. Seems like a weird decision for a number of reasons because he's a fucking creep that everybody's
Starting point is 00:37:21 decided as a creep. last time that he released a movie that was like Johnny Depp is deppin it up. Ladies and gentlemen, it did badly. And they were still like, no, but you're going to want to see this. This being a movie that has been made conservatively 3,000 times in a Christmas story. But alas, they're bringing a little bit of a different flavor to it because this is being produced by David Ellison's Paramount. So it might be even shittier than we thought possible, you guys. I'm already thinking like David Ellison in charge of reconfiguring a story about an unlikable character and an unlikable actor.
Starting point is 00:38:05 Yes. This must be good. This is going to be a good PR move, I think. So what that movie presupposes, is that being miserly and like a rich person who doesn't like pores is bad. And what this movie asks is... I could see that. I could see that. What if not?
Starting point is 00:38:25 What if those were virtuous? Right. What if those are good things? So Ty West, the director, he's formerly of like indie horror movies like X and Pearl. And he explained that in other adaptations of a Christmas carol, Scrooge is kind of an asshole. And then the rest of the characters are benevolent, perfect people.
Starting point is 00:38:48 And it was really our goal to try and... balance that out to say that there's much more of a gray area in the story. We want to give Scrooge logic and a good argument. So when he is making an argument about something, he's not wrong. What? Like, hey, man, fuck Tiny Tim. Yes. I'll kick that crutch out from under him. Fuck that little. What, like, what? I mean, again, this is, this is exactly what we're talking about when oligarchs capture media. They're now creating pro-billionaire propaganda. they're like, what if the greedy fucker that all the normal people disliked
Starting point is 00:39:24 because they were such greedy assholes had a point, guys? Right. Like, we need to be actually, like, really investigating that, that trope in our society. Yeah. I feel like they, you know, they did,
Starting point is 00:39:36 I feel like he's trying to say he wants to show what made Scrooge, Scrooge. And I do feel that Dickens did do that. Sure. We got to seize him. His relationship with, honestly, I want him to go all in of like, you know, like young Sheldon.
Starting point is 00:39:49 I want to see young Scrooge. No joke. I'm pitching that right now. Young Scrooge. I want to see. That's basically what Shalama did kind of with Wonka, right? Sure.
Starting point is 00:39:58 Younger. Yeah, yeah. I want it to be like... How does this child become someone who kills children in and whoever's little chocolate? It feels a little like the Joker. I'm not going to lie. It's like young Scroo,
Starting point is 00:40:09 how he became an in-cell essentially. Yeah. I mean, he did, didn't he? Scrooge? Yeah, towards the end, he hates... Scrooge fuck. No, but towards the end, he doesn't. He like hates women.
Starting point is 00:40:20 Yeah, yeah. Well, he hates everyone. He does. No, I do. I do. Jack, I do think Scrooge fucks. And that's why I want to see a, I want to see bachelor. I want to see college scrooge.
Starting point is 00:40:30 Yeah. You don't want to see nasty Johnny Depp Scrooge. Yeah. Young Ebenezer. Yeah. And they call him Neesey. Yeah. Young Neasy.
Starting point is 00:40:39 A young Neasy. A kind of young Neese. So he went on, though, because I was like, okay. I mean, maybe this is taken out of context. Like, maybe he's just talking about, like, like, like, like, you said, maybe we're getting the prequel version where you get to like see his motivation.
Starting point is 00:40:56 He goes on, as his Scrooge cut someone down verbally or as he makes a financial point or withdraws, you do understand why he's doing it. So he's like specifically saying the financial side of Scrooge being like
Starting point is 00:41:12 you can't have much. Like this is a quote from the original Scrooge, or the original Christmas Carol. Are there no prison? ask Scrooge. Plenty of prisons, said the gentleman, laying down the pen again. And the union workhouses demanded Scrooge. Are they still in operation?
Starting point is 00:41:29 And then he says, since you ask what I wish, gentlemen, this is my answer. I don't make marry myself at Christmas, and I can't afford to make idle people marry. I help to support the establishments, the prisons that I've mentioned. They cost enough. And those who are badly off must go there. So poor people to go to prison and the union workhouses. Yeah, yeah, yeah. because I don't ask me for shit.
Starting point is 00:41:51 And then the person he's arguing with says, a lot of people would rather die. And he says, if they would rather die, they had better do it and decrease the surplus population. Like this is, I didn't realize how Peter Thiel coded this motherfucker was. Damn. But he's kind of spitting facts though.
Starting point is 00:42:09 When I look at it that way, he is right. Yeah, even though I don't agree, he's right. That's crazy. You've done it, David Ellison. That's, programmed my brain with this just light. I do have to say I do feel like this is increasing because I think they just Star Wars just said, Hayden Christensen, at least I vaguely saw this when I was doom scrolling, signed on to some new
Starting point is 00:42:33 movies that possibly are going to be about Vader. So I feel like taking the villain is a thing that a lot of places are doing. Yeah, I mean, the anti-hero, like, what if not that bad a guy thing is, it just feels like a weird moment when rich people who think poor people should die are like drunk driving the entire world into the side of a mountain
Starting point is 00:43:00 it like is a weird time to be like well what if Ebenezer Scrooge was like kind of right about shit? I'm just saying. Yeah, because I get like the interest of being like oh damn Vader like what? Let me know a little bit about that character versus like this is a thing that exists in our world right now.
Starting point is 00:43:17 100% what we're dealing with. It's like we got a bunch of vaders out here. Like, I mean, man, I mean, he burned up in that lava pit. And then he was in that chamber for so long, getting his body back. Right. It's like, no, we have people who are so greedy who are completely look at people that don't have money as being like, literally surplus population. Yeah. Like the surplus population thing just hits way too close to home.
Starting point is 00:43:40 Right. Yeah, yeah. That's fucked up. That's why I want Scrooge the college days. Yeah. Off campus, Scroo. What do you think he was out? Just hating on Christmas.
Starting point is 00:43:51 Yeah. Humbug. Hating on Christmas in a sexy way. I feel like he probably had to think of Roofies. And yeah, you had his dad's money to get him out of him. Oh, right. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:44:02 He was a lacrosse player. He was a Kennedy. Yeah, yeah. The cane actually was a lacrosse stick. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, he's just sick with a lacrosse. Let's talk about Ferramel Maxing, guys. Something that I'm doing it.
Starting point is 00:44:13 I believe I briefly believed in in my 20s at some point. I don't know, maybe like my natural musk is like good. How did you just not bathing? Yeah, like, showering less. That's one way to say not bathing. Showering less. Yeah, I wouldn't say I wasn't showering as much as I was showering less than would be optimal. You're conserving water.
Starting point is 00:44:37 For someone that smells like me. Yeah, right, exactly. Yeah, yeah. We're saving the planet. Thank you. But, yeah, I mean, there's always. I think there's an equivalent of this for like hair where people are like, well, you actually shouldn't wash your hair
Starting point is 00:44:52 more than once a month. For the oils and stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for the nasty oils. Anyways, this is a thing that I think the, was that men's health wrote about a new, exciting trend based on like a couple TikTok videos of young people saying their pheromone maxing, which just means that they're not showering.
Starting point is 00:45:12 I do think that at least one of the videos that they were linking off, to is just someone who's like joking. Right. I put Vaseline in their hair and was like, what, I'm pheromone maxing you guys. I'm greasy. Yeah. I just love this like form of journalism, which is like Gen Z, TikTok Safari. We're like, you don't know enough
Starting point is 00:45:30 about the culture. She's like, whatever's on TikTok, yeah, that's what they're all doing. It's official. They're stinky. It's very interesting that this is men doing this. Yes, of course. And not women. You know, we also, we also have pheromones. Well, I think because there's just such
Starting point is 00:45:47 Because we're smart. Well, and it also coincides like the like just loneliness. Like men especially are completely ill-equipped. Maybe this will fix it. Yeah. Because I mean, even though this is obviously not like a thing or would work, like being stinky as fuck, maybe could attract a mate. But I find most people be like, I'd rather you be like neutral smelling or not than odious. A neutral sense.
Starting point is 00:46:10 I feel like them specifically, they're also, aren't they the generation that's having the least amount of sex? There's having sex less. So yeah, I'm like maybe there's a reason why fellas. Yeah. I mean, I think also too, it's like there is such a, I, this reminds me of like how I used to think in my 20s where I was like, oh, the trick is like I need to use this cologne or I need to start. I need to talk using more questions like a like a fucking pickup artist or something. And like all these external things I could do. Because certainly it wasn't me that was the problem.
Starting point is 00:46:39 Certainly it wasn't something internal that had to improve. So it's easier to then be like, oh yeah, if I just start pheromone max. do that's going to turn everything around rather than being like oh maybe I need to be more like emotionally available and open and understanding my own vulnerabilities as a person and that might attract people so you need to say their name at the beginning and the end of a sentence make direct eye contact on direct eye contact and insult them and then say yeah why do you think you'd be a good girlfriend for me what do you bring to the table that's right you make them sell themselves to you wow thank you mystery but yeah this does I mean like I think like most things like a lot of
Starting point is 00:47:15 people are looking for answers that aren't necessarily doing like the work within yourself. Right. Because yeah, why not just be like, oh shit, I just not have to shower. That does help when it's like laziness will get you through. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that's totally a thing I would have been so in on it like 22 years old. Yeah, for sure. Did you ever Fairmont Max, advertently or inadvertently?
Starting point is 00:47:40 No, all it took was one time like a close girlfriend in mind. Like, dude, you fucking stink. Yeah. And I was like, fuck. That's all it needs. Fah! You're the smelly kid in class? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:50 Oh, no, it was never the smelly kid. I was a smelly kid at basketball camp. Oh, really? Yeah, because I had bad smelling feet. Oh, okay. And I'm in, like, dorms with other kids. Yep. The second you crack those things open.
Starting point is 00:48:05 So I was always pretty, yeah, exactly. Unlaced and people were like, yo! Yeah. Yo, close the tomb back up, Jesus. I really wish that I could make a search. that teaches men how to talk to women. I just like, if y'all saw my DMs, I post some of them sometimes,
Starting point is 00:48:21 but it is, it is nightmare alley out there, I'm going to say. Yeah, it's crazy. No, I mean, like, it's just even grown men, the fact that they, and I know other women can relate to this, they always, by the end of the conversation, like, let's say we're just texting back and forth and it's going well, by the end of that night, they have to bring up sex.
Starting point is 00:48:41 They don't know how to not. I think in their heads, they're like, I just need her to know, though. Like, I just need you. And I'm like, if you're talking, I just want to say to the guys out there, if you are talking, if you're flirting with us, we know that you probably want to sleep. Like men don't typically flirt with women that they're not sexually attracted to her. No, it's just like, y'all don't. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:00 Men don't, like women kind of, but like men certainly will not give a woman the time of day if they're not, you know, flirting wise. If they're not sexually attracted to her. And so, but they always have to like push it in for some reason when I'm like, if you had just been chill and cool, It probably would have led to that. But they always bring it up. It's crazy. And I just see girls on threads and whatever, like posting it. And it'll be going fine, you know, whatever.
Starting point is 00:49:23 And then it's like a wild segue like, yeah, that's crazy, dude. I remember when, yeah, I saw Vegeta go super sane the first time. That was a vibe. So, you know, I'm like eight inches, right? Literally. Miles, literally. Literally. Yes.
Starting point is 00:49:41 He really, he puts that one, speaking of eight inches. Oh shit. You would be surprised. You'd be surprised or not. I would not be surprised at all. No. Not great at subtexts. They're like, I don't think, I don't think she's picking up what I'm putting down here.
Starting point is 00:49:57 I don't think she gets it. And we are. We're very aware. Yeah. That's crazy. I love Yodorovsky's work too. I have a boner right now. Miles, you're joking.
Starting point is 00:50:07 No, the women listening to this will be like, no, that's actually how it is. Straight up. God, y'all, it's. Straight up. It's so easy. Don't be scary and weird. And creepy, yeah. All you have to do is be a fucking person.
Starting point is 00:50:22 When I thought I was going to fucking go to the club, be like, watch this shit tonight. Coming out of there with nothing. Yeah. Because I was a fucking weirdo. Okay. Being in the corner, like, oh, my gosh. I'm going to post up low key like this. Rubbing your hands together.
Starting point is 00:50:38 I'm going to miss, bro. And they're just going to passively appear, bro. And then when they don't, I'd be like, man, they're all fucking stuck up your shit anyway. Rather than I'm like, oh, you're a coward who fears rejection. And you don't even know how to speak to someone normally without getting too in your head about an interaction. And once I let go of that shit, much different. Wow.
Starting point is 00:50:57 Much different. A person. Yeah, I just had to be a fucking person. Wait, but are they people too? Yeah, they got to be people too. Oh, the women are people too. Whoa. They have interests and everything.
Starting point is 00:51:07 Then you're just two people. And then I'd fuck it up. I'm like, it's kind of like, we're just two people. trying to, we're trying to fuck, right? Sorry, let's just check this mystery. Anyways, men, MoMe, $50, I will write out your text for you. Sure, sure.
Starting point is 00:51:20 For the women. There you go. I'll edit them. Basically, by that, I'll just delete all the sexual references you're making in the course of your normal conversations. But pheromone maxing might not be the ticket. Might not be. I mean, because that was a big thing.
Starting point is 00:51:33 Remember, there's like the pheromone parties in New York City. There were, like, articles or, like, people put their, like, undershirts in a Ziploc bag and, like, people would, like, sniff them. People will pay for that nowadays. Yes, they will. Yes, they will. Doing it for free. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:46 That's what one person's theory is that like this has to do with, you know, only fans, artists, like having to go underground or, you know, what the stuff that they advertise for free is like armpits and stuff like that. And so people, but I just think it's this journalist being like, Ferrimon maxing is a thing because. Gen Z, Gen Z TikTok Safari. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Those fair mom parties always struck me as.
Starting point is 00:52:11 a little rainbow party-ish. Like, it seemed like... There's a cool study about that where people were able to, like, sniff out who they would find attractive eventually. And I feel like news people were just like, let's turn this into a party. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:52:27 You know, love is blind, but it's sniffing? Oh, dude. Oh, my God. Jack, you're on to something. For real. That would be crazy. They're just like, yeah, you get, like, one garment, and you'd be like...
Starting point is 00:52:37 Yep, she's the one. It's like, oh, sorry, we switched him up. That's actually one of your roommates. That's Kevin. Damn. Well, where's he at? There's science in that. You know what? You might be on to something there. I mean, there's also, most people say the science is actually, like, inconclusive. Yeah, scientific. Got it. I don't know, man. I find that study interesting to talk about, and therefore I think it's true.
Starting point is 00:53:01 Exactly. There you go. And I'm not stinky. I'm pheromone, Max. That's right. I wonder, though, if you all got, like, your wife's sweater. If you'd be, oh, yeah, that's her. That would be an interesting. If it was like a test. If you gave me a couple, yeah, I could do that. Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:15 I mean, in our Helen Keller episode, Helen Keller once wrote that people's, like, the scent of her loved ones is more unique than their face. Like, she could smell. I mean, she's going to see that. That's romantic. So she doesn't have anything to compare it to. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:33 So, yeah, the whole point of our Helen Keller episode is Helen Keller is a fucking liar. Yeah, she wasn't actually visually impaired or anything. Well, yeah, right, because she said, and she'd also know someone's job and shit. Yeah, yeah. She'd be like, this person's a pharmacist because I can smell the, like Matt Murdo. Yeah, smell the volume. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:52 Yeah. Crazy. All right. Let's take a quick break. We'll be right back. Behind every night spent making the kids lunches, there's a lot of suspense. Will they finally eat the veggies? Will the pasto survive the first bite?
Starting point is 00:54:09 Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full, or come home at all? And will you finish episode eight before you're done? slicing the cucumbers? Starting point is 00:54:36 I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinero. and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people,
Starting point is 00:55:01 and they were like, you smiled at us. Not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind, or wake up to a new version of yourself. So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip,
Starting point is 00:55:22 I hope you listen to Solita on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and held captive for nine months. I survived, and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth Smart, and these are the survivors. files. I just remember this low, taunting voice next to my ear saying, shut up, don't say anything.
Starting point is 00:55:55 Every week, I'm with survivors who lived through the unthinkable. Hey, this is Hayes Davenport.
Starting point is 00:56:32 And Sean Clements. We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman, not that great. Actually, can you help me shape this?
Starting point is 00:56:58 How about we flip it on his head, right? How about we flip this script? What is the surprise woman who actually you think is the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird? Adam Scott. This entire time, you. You've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to visit the show. I would never expect. I have.
Starting point is 00:57:21 I would never set expectations for something like that to happen. It seems like you did. If the universe allows for something like that to happen, I'm open to it. I'm always going to accept. You know, Danny McBride, fine. Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity exuding. I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you. I was like, is that weed?
Starting point is 00:57:42 Nope. It's fragile. masculinity. Ben Stiller, no. Because a lot of times out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is. You know what I mean? Like you're like, oh, what's a state.
Starting point is 00:58:13 Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Munga shit together and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive. This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones and brain replacement to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about and what it really means to live forever for all of us. I learned about some rad science. I can make a brain for you. And then we can test what draw is the best for your brain, as opposed to his brain. Here's some hard truths. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five-year acceleration.
Starting point is 00:59:00 And get myself into a world of trouble. I'd say probably start bones smashing. That doesn't work. To make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive How to Live Forever on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:59:16 And we're back. We're back. And the most famous NFL player on the internet right now. Yeah. It's crazy. I think you can say that. Yeah. Because of it's crossed over to people who don't even know about the NFL.
Starting point is 00:59:37 No. 100% this is the most famous NFL player. Clearly the women that were involved knew nothing about the NFL. Yeah. I know. Well, that's the thing about the NFL is also like people's, faces are hidden by the helmet, something that he took advantage of
Starting point is 00:59:50 by just wearing the helmet everywhere. On every FaceTime call. Sorry, you know, I'm a football player. Dejaun Love, who allegedly scammed at least 26 women out of $1.3 million in four states by pretending to be a San Francisco 49ers wide receiver. And the way he did that was by wearing a San Francisco 49ers football helmet everywhere he went.
Starting point is 01:00:15 And like a hoodie. trying to look like he just got out of practice with like the travel kit on. It's like wearing his helmet at Costco. Yeah. Oh, this? Oh, yeah, I'll play for the 49ers. Why would I wear this?
Starting point is 01:00:26 Got to protect the goods. Yeah. He was arrested by the FBI on federal fraud charges when the feds claimed that he enticed women into romantic correspondence on dating apps, specifically seeking genetically superior women, and then asked for money to put in lucrative investments. Wow.
Starting point is 01:00:45 So. So the feds are going after men that are like, you know, victimizing women now? No, no, no, no, just this specific thing. Just the specific. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They didn't like the look of him for some reason. Sure, sure, sure. It's so fucking wild.
Starting point is 01:00:58 This is 26 women. I know. Getting this like love bombing campaign turned into, now give me every dollar you have. It also seemed like he didn't meet with most of them. Did I pick up on that? Like, it seemed like. It's just a lot of messages back and forth. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:14 I think that, I think that might be. right because I think if they met him in person, they would be like, there's no way this motherfucker's a man out of him. There are NFL players who were like as a, like, as a joke, like going and like working out on the beach with their helmet and stuff. But like they would work out without their shirt on and it's like, oh, that's what an NFL player looks like. Oh, that's a monster bastard I'm looking at versus this guy who looks like me when I was 16. Yeah, it looks like a normal, you know, 20 something. It looks like a guy who you would believe We've played sports at one point.
Starting point is 01:01:46 Yeah, like high school. Yeah, high school sports. Yeah. Yeah. So he convinced people of his NFL credit with his Instagram account, which is full of photos and videos of him doing things like carrying or wearing a 49ers helmet. Okay. That's only real.
Starting point is 01:02:01 You actually can't get one of those. No, I don't know. I haven't seen a millennial man's basement who's into the NFL ever. I don't think I've ever seen a football helmet in that. Yeah. He wasn't playing it. So if people were like, why? Are you here at this Boba shop? At this New Orleans House buffet.
Starting point is 01:02:22 Wait, wait a second. Aren't the 49ers playing on that TV right there? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's this damn finger injury was his explanation. I love that finger injury. Makes sense. It's like, I mean, obviously, I can't kiss a ball with my finger injury. So, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:36 Can we take a look at just a screencap of the video of his contract signing? Oh, yes. which takes place, as many contract signings do, at a coffee table in a random house. It does seem like, for the most part, he has studied the Instagram accounts of actual professional athletes and then just like taken certain signifiers.
Starting point is 01:03:00 Yeah, that's him. That looks like every major contract signing I've seen. Yeah. Where you're in a tiny chair in someone's apartment, certainly not in the front office of the team. team you're signing for with the log gigantic logo behind you announcing to the world this is our new signing it really feels like if you like what i used to make movies with you know my sister like my neighbor because our family had a camcorder sure sure and like if if we had to make a movie we were like
Starting point is 01:03:29 i just got signed in the NFL like this is the sort of that you would have the contract signing yes it would be at your living room table so like yeah yeah yeah uh and you would like work out with the helmet on like It's like that level of, yeah, thought that goes into it. It's creative, at least. I just feel like when I was watching all of his videos and you'd be like, yeah, this is my Lambeau and like, you know, I have this house in Malibu. And then I have, like, I feel like actual rich people don't do that. Like, they don't have to be like, oh, yeah, and then I got this and this.
Starting point is 01:03:56 And like, that was a lot of his account too. And I'm like, rich people aren't like, one, rich people don't, athletes don't want you to know where they live. Right. For sure. For sure. Like, they're not posting their house and random, you know. I just thought it was crazy of that, like, I don't.
Starting point is 01:04:10 I mean, I think because we live in such a fake-ass world where perception is reality on social media, like, it really is easy. It's like, okay, I just need to show a few objects that are like wealth signifiers. Once I've done that, I can put those away. I can take the rental back. Because, I mean, this is like what the Tate brothers did too. Like their lawyer had to come out and be like, dude, they never had fucking like, sure, Bugatti money. They're just, they're posers on the internet, man. That's just how shit works.
Starting point is 01:04:39 This video, though, of him that everybody's looking at of this beach workout. It's like he's seen Rocky 3. Oh, my God. He's seen that sometimes players, athletes work out on the beach. He's clearly skipped leg day, I want to say. Yeah. Like my legs are thicker than his. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:58 Oh, yeah. My son's legs are thicker. He's also giving like, I got too much shit on me. I don't want to even be around any more energy. All right, here we go. Say, hut, hut. Hey, go. So, so slow out there.
Starting point is 01:05:11 What the hell was that? He fell. He almost fell. And who's throwing this ball? He falls and then. Yeah. No, like actual NFL players have quarterback throwing the ball to him. Someone who can throw a football at a speed that matches your ability to run.
Starting point is 01:05:27 And the guy's like lobbing all wobbly to him. It was like, it was me throwing the ball. I think another embarrassing thing about this is it's not that, like, it's not that hard to sleep with an actual athlete. Like, I'm going to say they're in these streets. Oh, yeah. So, like, that was funny. The girl that posted this was like, you guys are stuck with your dumb fuck boys and I got this man. And I'm like, ma'am, it's not like there are billions of athletes and they're not, they're out here.
Starting point is 01:05:53 They're fluing everybody out places. Yeah. Sure. Sure. Yeah. Other things he did to prove he was rich besides the beach workout that looked official as hell because it had the little orange cones. So, you know, you know he's a professional athlete where the fuck else is he can get those orange. Cones.
Starting point is 01:06:09 Showed off his luxury car keys. I know. I'm lucky. Did he get those on eBay? Just like a random fob? You can, yeah. They're like, if you want the newest one,
Starting point is 01:06:20 they're like 150. Yeah. Small investment you need to make versus buying a multi-100,000 car. Showed off his condo, which looked like a pretty normal condo. But it did have one pretty unique feature, which was a normal bed that he claimed cost $8,000.
Starting point is 01:06:36 Is that like, I wonder, so the bed that cost $8,000 is that, like, I think I remember Shaq had a bed that was like really expensive because it had to be like huge. You know what I mean? Some makes sense. I'm wondering if like that. Wembe probably. Yeah, if that was like something he had in the back of his head. I'm just trying to understand his art. You know how it is, man.
Starting point is 01:06:57 Like when you're 5.9, 150 pounds, you got to have a custom made bed, bro. You know, just to be able to support that fucking mass that's going on. there. And then, so that I can like kind of understand I can pick out like expensive beds. Like I'm sure a lot of professional athletes have to have like really expensive beds. Then there's a moment where he shows how rich he is by filming a collection of Chucky dolls that are stashed against one of his walls. Yeah. And I'm like, where the fuck is that coming from? Like who is the professional athlete who he saw with like a weird collectible. That's the part. I'm like, tell me more about this though. I mean that I'm actually like respect. That seems like it's like,
Starting point is 01:07:36 less the professional athlete, and that's more Dejan love. Yeah, he's like a big Chucky fan. Love Chucky. He's like, okay, so I'm like playing the role of a professional athlete, what would I do if I signed a car? 25 Chucky Doll's mint condition
Starting point is 01:07:52 in my bedroom, stacked against the wall, obviously. Like any other athlete, that's like the one personal touch where he's like actually working with what he would do. I need to see him with 20,000 in Magic the Gathering cards. And then we're like, okay, this and this, who is this man?
Starting point is 01:08:09 You're probably kind of wondering what the balance of my deck is. Right. I usually go black, green. Okay, this holographic Charzard. It's a family heirloom. But that actually would make more set because like Jake Paul like has a $5 million Pokemon or something shit like that. But Chucky dolls is like so very specific.
Starting point is 01:08:29 Well, here, let's just this whole flex off that he does with the bed and then leads to the Chucky Doll. It's just so stupid. This is my bed. This is about an $8,000 bed. Oh, my God. It's like a college boys apartment. This TV is like $8,000.
Starting point is 01:08:46 Oh, love horses shit. So these, these dolls are about $2K. They give us these for football. For football. These are about $2,000 each. You're like leg compression. No rich person does this. I need y'all.
Starting point is 01:09:02 Like, no rich person is like, and here's my $2,000 this. And here's my $2,000. $2,000 that. Yeah, when you go to a rich person's house, usually you go, you start clocking things. Yeah. You're like, let me act like I've been here before.
Starting point is 01:09:15 He got 48K and Chuckie doll. What the fuck is he on? This is the Chuckie doll room. That is the most authentically like weird rich person in details. I have a doll for my Chuckie dolls. I have a room for my shopping dolls. Obviously, I'm a big Jennifer Tilly fan. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:29 So I have some sign memorabilia from Jennifer Tilly. Also, she was the bride of Chucky, the voice famously. Here's a lock of her hair. Yeah. Rich people do do that when making a video for their insurance company to be like, okay. Yeah, yeah. This one is probably like $5,000. Here's my $3 million of jewelry.
Starting point is 01:09:49 But I mean, he had a good backstory as to how he could afford an $8,000 bed, motherfucking $8,000, probably $8,000 TV, a motherfucker, $2,000 Chuckie dolls. Like many of the most famous players in the NFL, his family is one of the richest families in Switzerland. Oh, okay. It's just like, you could. This is junior high liar. Yeah, yeah. Because like, without the Switzerland thing, you could maybe be like, I just signed this contract.
Starting point is 01:10:16 But now I have $10 million. So, like, I'm, you know, I'm living in an apartment, but like here's like my Chuckie doll collection. But to be like, I come from generational wealth. Let me spell that for you. And then have that apartment. It's like, I don't. Do you know who Friedrich love is? That's my father.
Starting point is 01:10:37 And he named me Dejohn, after our great-grandfather. He did show his targets fake bank accounts using the fake bank account pro app. All right, scammers. Good, great ad. I love that there are apps that just make it. Scamming people is like the number one growth industry in America. Totally. I'm going to get into it.
Starting point is 01:10:58 Yeah. To like make a app that is like makes the, it's like you're the invidia of scams. where you're just like supplying scammers with the thing they need. Like that's that's smart. That's smart business. He's not the only, I don't know if you all saw the one with the person pretending to be Harry Styles. That was another successful. And he got money.
Starting point is 01:11:18 He was getting money from women. And then another one is Keanu Reeves. God bless. If you think Keanu Reeves is in your DMs, I can't help you. He's not even in his own DM. He's not even out. He's not out here like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:30 Yeah. But no. And it's, you know, they are hitting up like lonely older. like grandmas and stuff. And it's also just wild too because like clearly this Dejon dude is also like a product of this social media age of online flexing and like the worst thing you could be is broke. Right. So you do everything in your power to effort to project this like sort of image of like success
Starting point is 01:11:54 and wealth. Yeah. And again, you end up just being a fucking weird guy. Yeah. But like it is also just so easy now for people to have been like, well, this is why I am in real life. but my online avatars is rich NFL. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:06 And also, like, I'm actually now successfully scamming about over a million dollars by handing them to my 18-year-old friend who's like the financial consultant. That's right. I do think he probably would have pulled it off if he was fair amount maxing. Nobody would have been able to figure it out through that smokescreen. But I will say, as much as we're saying, like, we wouldn't fall for this. There is somebody who did fall for it. And that is Google.
Starting point is 01:12:32 Google fell for it because people were like, why didn't people just Google him for themselves? Right. And there are screencaps where if you like searched his name, Google's like AI answer was said that he, Dejan Love is a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers. And information about his position, contract, and teammates texting habits is available online for some reason.
Starting point is 01:13:00 So I mean, obviously that. AI is hallucinating and having trouble. He's also associated with the team through various social media content and articles, position, wide receiver, team 49ers. So I mean, again, amazing work by Google, change your business from
Starting point is 01:13:16 finding the most trustworthy sources on the internet to a single answer that is frequently so wrong that it aids and abets a serial scam. Right, right. I also feel like would he have gotten away with this if he didn't, he took their money and said, and it was on investment
Starting point is 01:13:32 but I think he wouldn't have gotten in trouble maybe if he would just took it. Does that make sense? But it was the investing part. He was like keeping touch with them and like being like, I'm holding on to this, but like we're growing this.
Starting point is 01:13:44 They gave it to them. They gave him the money specifically for investments. Right. Like he said, oh, I have this stock option that's going to help you. This is going to blow up. And they gave him the money for that. Yeah, because the whole thing was the financial advisor,
Starting point is 01:13:56 he's like, I'm going to set you up with my guy. This 18-year-old guy. He's like, and he's got the fucking, He's got the matrix figured out so you can turn your money like 10x your investment with me, which is so funny. Because in these other videos that you see of him where he's like talking to like a mark, he's trying to, he's trying to sort of set it up like, yeah, you know, like I'm very interested in you and like, this is serious if we're together.
Starting point is 01:14:18 You know, so like I have to ask you a couple questions. And I don't and I'm not going to judge you based on these answers. So don't feel judged. But the first question he asks these potential lovers, I think is pretty telling. Like this is this is his key to got to ask you something, you know, if like if we're going to be together. You want to know specifics. You could ask me and I'll be specific. But my first question is this.
Starting point is 01:14:43 To be my girlfriend. So how much would you say you make on average per month, like on average? My second question is how much are your bills every month on average like cell phone, rent, whatever it is that you pay every month on average. That's an expense. My third question is, are you any debt? Credit card debt, car loan, hospital bills, student loans, whatever. Fourth question is, like, what would you say your credit is? Good, bad, fair, whatever. I'm not judge you off for the answer that you give. I'm just trying to understand. And the last question is, what would you say your savings account is right now that you have access to that you can go out and touch? Hey, so how liquid are you?
Starting point is 01:15:26 Hey, Ma, you wet? And by that, I mean, how liquid are you? I can't imagine a man before I go on a date asking this. Like, fucking a red flag. What is your savings account? I mean, like, what is the number? Yeah. And the routing number.
Starting point is 01:15:41 Basically, sorry. How much money can you send right this moment? Also, it's funny because, like, he's shooting himself like low angle. Low angle. And the background sound, though, I'm pretty sure that's a YMCA that he's You can hear like a children's playing. Like Icarus flying too close to the sun on wax wings branded with the 49ers logo, his laughable props were his downfall because the feds noticed he had spent over $1,160 at a website
Starting point is 01:16:12 specializing in custom football helmets when they got a hold of his. And so many other things too. He was like he was buying fake money, bought followers. They're like, oh, it sounds like you have all the. the tools you need for this ruse that you're saying. I mean, fake bank account.com should probably have given them. But yeah,
Starting point is 01:16:34 a lot of NFL players are clowning him. And the Mets even referenced him. They said running like Dejan Love when somebody, when they were showing a clip of somebody doing a bad job running the bases. And people are also selling custom Desjon Love jerseys and rookie cards. Yeah. Which. it's just like it's it's wild too like that this is also this is just a common thing of this like lover boy
Starting point is 01:16:59 scam that happens yeah like and it's so pervasive and there's so many examples of it because it's always like some form of like I thought he like really liked me and like he showed me all these things that could be our life then he's like you need to fucking send me money yeah or like I'm gonna get crazy yeah it's like the tinder swindler did y'all watch that documentary oh yeah it was a guy that did this literally this. Yeah. And they're not targeting rich people.
Starting point is 01:17:25 They're like people's bank accounts out and like really fucking people over. Yeah. And yeah. It's not even, very sad,
Starting point is 01:17:32 but also amazing what he thought he could get away with and what he was getting away with until he flew too close. People have pointed out that he did this entire scam without AI.
Starting point is 01:17:42 So it can be done. There you go, he's legendary. I almost applauded him. Right? Yeah. But then I'm like, a tepid applause.
Starting point is 01:17:49 Mm-hmm. No AI. Like he could have, because now, because this has been going on for years. And now with how AI is, he could have been putting himself. Because everyone was like,
Starting point is 01:17:57 why aren't you in the roster? He could have put himself in the roster. Right. But he didn't. Because he was anti the data centers. I actually don't know how to use it. He got one big assist from AI and it wasn't him using it. It was Google.
Starting point is 01:18:08 Right, right. It was Google. Fucking up their answers by being like, I don't know. He's apparently a wide receiver for the 30-9. If I was a scammer and that came up, I would have done a fucking back flip. I was so happy.
Starting point is 01:18:18 I'm like, oh, he posted. He posted. He was like, that's Google. saying it's not me. That's Google saying it.
Starting point is 01:18:25 So. Yeah. And also don't ask to see a highlight tape at all of me in college, high school, or the NFL. Because I can't do it. That's right. Yeah. His backstory was that he was like working. His best friends are like the five best wide receivers of all time.
Starting point is 01:18:40 He said like Tyree Kill was like my boy. He was like working out with them and they were like, God damn, you're faster than Tyree Kill. Really? Well, based on that video. None of them follow him. The team doesn't follow him. Yeah. So many people think it.
Starting point is 01:18:55 They're jealous. Did you see that one, that lady who was on Temptation Island who got busted for saying she was like in the Duke Physicians Assistant Program? Nope. There was this like woman who was on like, you know, Angel Murdoch was her name. She was originally like on a reality show and then she kind of kept like she kept this new grift up where she was saying she was in the physician's assistant program at Duke and was like, get ready with me for my psych rotation. or whatever. And then little did she know, this program has less than 100 people in it. Right. So people started, like, she was already kind of famous. Then people in the program were like clocking that she was saying she was in. And like, have, have any of you seen her? Right. And she
Starting point is 01:19:36 posted like a graduation photo. That I did see. Yeah. And people were like, she's like running by the real graduation, like, throwing it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly. And then like, the class historian for that class was like, I'm the class historian and I'm also a black woman. I know every black person in this program. So there's no way I wouldn't notice another black woman in this program. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm and I feel bad that you have to do this. But it's just like, again, there's just like this version of reality that people are so addicted to like these outside perceptions that you just fucking by any means will just go deeper and deeper. I don't know how they think people are. B fake stethoscopes and shit or fake helmets or whatever. How do they,
Starting point is 01:20:13 how do, like, we're in 2026. How do you think people aren't going to find this out? People find old tweets from like random celebrities. They're going to find this out about you. Yeah, it all depends on your audience, right? So, like, if you're an influencer trying to do it with a younger audience, that's, that you probably have a smaller, or a shorter shelf life for the bullshit. Whereas, like, you're going after vulnerable people who are lonely, who, it doesn't matter. The fact that you are talking to them is enough. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:38 That's the better mark. I would be interested in seeing the average age of his, the people he was going after. Some of them were young, though. Were they? One of them was kind of hot. I'm like, babe, you can do better than that. the one that's been speaking to like the news and stuff. She's kind of young and hot.
Starting point is 01:20:55 So I'm like, babe. If you get a Halloween, this is going to be a good viral Halloween costume. Fake 49ers. Shitty, fake money. Having a bunch of Chuckie dolls is my costume. That would be so good. I'm full up with five Chuckie boxes.
Starting point is 01:21:07 The Chucky doll is the deep cut for the real head. They're like, who's that like, wait. Dejohn? I'm like, come on. Come on. Why would I have $2,000 in Chucky dolls, fam? Danny, such a pleasure having you.
Starting point is 01:21:20 Thank you for a podcast. having me. Where can people find you, follow you, see you all that good stuff? I'm at Ms. Danny Fernandez. It's MS, D-A-N-I-F-E-R-N-D-E-Z on all the socials. And is there a work of media that you've been enjoying? You know what I've really enjoyed the trend that's on like Instagram and TikTok of parents like giving their kid the phone?
Starting point is 01:21:42 I don't know if you all have seen this. And then they're like, hey, can you record me real quick? I'm going to talk about my best friend. And then they talk about the kid. Oh. Have you seen that? And the kid is always like, they're like, I have. I just want to talk about Jalen and he's so, I'm so proud of him.
Starting point is 01:21:55 And he's just, he's my best friend in the world. And he's such a good soccer player. And you can see the kid like starting to wipe away their tears and stuff. It's like a big trend that's happening right now. So I just think I watch every single one of them and it's so cute. And people have started to do it to their grandparents too. They're like, can you hold this? I'm going to talk about my best friend.
Starting point is 01:22:11 And then they start talking about their grandparent. And just bringing some good news. Yeah. Just bringing some good vibes. I wish I had thought of that so that I wasn't, I wasn't just doing a viral trend. when I did it with my kids. Here, give me that, give me that. Yeah, I can do this.
Starting point is 01:22:26 Yeah, yeah. Actually, let me get that again. Let me get that again. Yeah, no, it's not good. And cry more. Can you actually stand on the couch and kind of get me from a hiring? Yeah, yeah. It's cute when they do it.
Starting point is 01:22:38 I'm going to send y'all, I'm going to send y'all now because I know you're going to, you're going to be like, why is this video getting blurry? I'm crying. I know you all will. I'm an easy mark for crying at a online video. It will be in your inbox. Oh, my God. every Hope Corps video.
Starting point is 01:22:52 I'm like, God, damn, bro. How? How am I so easily manipulated with this one song? Miles,
Starting point is 01:22:59 where can people find you? Is there a work of media? You've been enjoying it. Yeah, you find me everywhere at Miles of Gray. I'm talking about 90-day fiancé, on 420-day fiancé. I'm talking about English football,
Starting point is 01:23:09 Champions League, all that on Ain't It Footy with Chris Martin and Jamel Johnson. Please subscribe. Leave a good review. It's underrated to do that. Also, like I said yesterday,
Starting point is 01:23:21 if you check out the episode at the end on the wrapout part of the episode you will hear the guy's child beginning his podcast career and he doesn't like that I said no A work of media that I'm enjoying is from Frankie Just Chillin
Starting point is 01:23:36 It said It's on Instagram It says 10 year old me in the pool Pretending to be a dead soldier Instead of socializing with the rest of my family And just like I remember When you would just be in the pool Like fuck
Starting point is 01:23:48 What am I just doing floating such a core memory of being like, just this dead body. You don't do that shit all the time. And I'm like, you got to stop, man. I keep thinking you're dead. It's so funny that we all did this. And then did you guys ever float to the top
Starting point is 01:24:02 and just wait for your family to rescue you? But they never did. Sometimes, yes, to be like, will they notice me? Yeah, and they didn't care. And then you're like, oh, God. I was like, mom, I was floating. Yeah, but you can only hold your breath for like five seconds. So it doesn't.
Starting point is 01:24:18 I can just wait and see. Let's see. I like that tweet by Dana Donnelly that I mentioned, told my husband I feel sorry for him because Fall is so much better for women than it is for men because we have fall fashion and pumpkin spice. And you know what he said? Nothing.
Starting point is 01:24:33 He was ignoring me to read about football. I was wrong. Fall is better for them. They have football. And I like to tweet from Noah Garfinkel that is just like a really interesting thought experiment. He said, I could see RFK Jr. going either way on mayonnaise. Him thinking it's the number one thing killing our children's,
Starting point is 01:24:49 seems just as likely as him thinking everyone should have two spoonfuls after every meal. Like, honestly, I, like, 50, 50, I can go totally either way. Like Icelandic children with cod liver every day. Exactly. Like, you must have your mayonnaise. Have your spoonful of mayonnaise. Yeah. Again, this band, instrumental band from Australia, they're just so fucking funky, rumping and tumping on their instruments.
Starting point is 01:26:06 This is in honor of Dejean love because this track's called Leg Day. Oh. So check this out. This funky instrumental track. Get your quads plump to this. Work on your posterior. chain to this. Surprise, Chef, is something that people should be shouting more in the bear.
