In California during the summer of 1975, within the span of 17 days and less than 90 miles, two women did something no other woman had done before, try to assassinate the president of the United States. One was the protege of Charles Manson. 26-year-old Lynette Fromm, nickname Squeaky.
Starting point is 00:01:16 The other, a middle-aged housewife working undercover for the FBI. Identified by police as Sarah Jean Moore. You know, lately I've been overwhelmed by the whole wellness industry. So much information out there about flaxseed, pelvic floor, serums, and anti-aging.
Starting point is 00:01:52 So I launched a newsletter. It's called Body and Soul to share expert-approved advice for your physical and mental health. And guess what? It's free. Just sign up at katiecouric.com body and soul that's k-a-t-i-e-c-o-u-r-i-c.com slash body and soul i promise it will make you happier and healthier hello the internet and welcome to this episode of radio heads the trends oh great album courtesy of at miles of gray uh and finally i am jack that is miles this is what's trending on this fine uh monday afternoon yeah uh famitidine is trending uh yeah not to be confused with ranitidine which is the uh zantac ingredient
Starting point is 00:02:48 that was bad for you might be causing cancer famitidine is the pepsid ingredient exactly uh and why is it uh trending apparently this is a this is people have been talking about how there's been a heartburn medication being uh you know're doing trials with, and it's famitidine. And apparently there's some hospitals in New York that are testing like a nine times greater than over-the-counter dose of this through an IV. I think people are just so curious to know where we're at, possibly in the road to recovery and things like that, and how we can probably get back to normal or back to life. We all were like, what's the new thing that they're testing? Now, hopefully that doesn't lead to people going to stock up on fucking Pepsid
Starting point is 00:03:40 to try and blast this shit out of yourself, but that doesn't seem like that's the case what if we try 12 Advil as a suppository what if it feels like they're just like taking random over the counter shit what if a dude took birth
Starting point is 00:03:58 control like wait what no no come on we need real ideas here alright what if a guy ate a Nuva ring huh Trump You're like, wait, what? No, no, come on. We need real ideas here. All right. Yeah. What if a guy ate a NuvaRing? Trump, please, thank you so much for that. You love to say that.
Starting point is 00:04:13 What if a guy ate a NuvaRing? But we're fine on that. But they're saying that they were in the beginning, they were really conducting these trials. They were keeping it low because they did not want media attention to basically have an effect on like depleting the supply of faminidine. Oh, right.
Starting point is 00:04:32 So I don't think this is, you know, the trials they say should be endings relatively in the next few weeks. And there could be results then, but you know, I think it's just a lot of people are saying, Hey, don't go to fuck it. Don't go to the store and just just a lot of people saying, hey, don't go to
Starting point is 00:04:45 the store and just buy a bunch of fucking Pepsid. That's not what we're doing here. Yeah. Don't do it, Zeitgang. Don't. Don't do it. Phamo Tidine, in case you're wondering how that spells. In case you're wondering how to look for it in your pharmacy.
Starting point is 00:05:02 Phamo Tidine. Dr. Burx is trending. Memorial Day 2020 is trending. I think those are both related to the same story. Memorial Day 2020 was trending because that's when Pence said that we'd be able to open back up. Yeah, he said the worst of the pandemic will be behind us by memorial day weekend we're hoping and then cut to dr burks and all the i mean honestly give these people freedom medals for having to like withstand the ignorance while you try and be an expert
Starting point is 00:05:38 uh but when she was asked about this on like msnb Sunday, she wasn't like, no, he's wrong. She had to do the very elegant thing like, oh, okay, well, what I think he's referring to is some of the data we've seen that on this trend, we're hoping that a lot of the harder hit cities may go down. We'll start to see a significant decline by then. But I would say that we were going to be looking at social distancing through the summer. That's a great thing to know. I think people should be hearing like act like what's more realistic if they're saying social distancing through the summer, try and process that as quickly as you can. Because I found that the quicker you can accept a situation, the easier it is to move forward
Starting point is 00:06:25 than to resist it the entire time, which will lead to a lot of friction and therefore undue stress. But yeah, it's just, it's hard to like kind of wrap your head around, but I'd rather hear like something off in the future than like, yeah, May 15th. Nah, end of May. Nah, June 15th. Nah, beginning of July. Nah, mid, like whatever.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Like, let's fucking like just be blunt about it here and you know at least that's that's i'm like i ripped the band-aid off kind of person yeah i feel like uh there there must be something in crowd psychology that tells you to do it the way they're doing it because that's that's also how pilots tell you that your flight is like delayed or going to be sitting on the runway they're like and it's looking like five more minutes here and they just keep doing that for like three hours but then that fucks with you versus like i sometimes they go uh we're not gonna lie here it looks pretty backed up here on the runway we're looking at about uh i hate to say this but about about 20 minute wait here until we get to
Starting point is 00:07:26 right and i'm like great i don't need to fucking keep going like all right five minutes and it's done i can be like all right 20 and then and 20 is like all right we're we're good not to say every you know estimation is accurate but it all depends yeah if i think this would be much easier if we were only social distancing for another 20 minutes but i think that my prognosis is it's gonna last a little longer than that uh were there rumors that the nba could start playing something as early as august yeah is that a rumor that is a rumor that's out there but that's just a room because i might move like games or practices to i mean that it's being reported by nba reporters that like the nba is at least exploring
Starting point is 00:08:13 i i feel like a lot of the nba stuff currently is the nba being open to exploring all options right right but like it's still gonna come down to you know what's safe yeah you telling your players okay like what do you guys want to do and whether players are gonna want to like risk their health for 20 of their salary or whatever kristin cavallari is trending uh because Oh, no. What happened? She announced that she and hubby of 10 years, Jay Cutler, are divorcing. Oh. It's, you hate to see it. You hate to see it.
Starting point is 00:08:55 It's one of my favorite love stories where a guy reaches out to girl's publicist, asks if she wants to date him. She ignores it, then goes to a game with her mom, and then he reaches out to her publicist again, and then they go on a date. It's a beautiful story. And now 10 years of wedded bliss.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Undone. Yeah, he was one of the more interesting reality TV characters that I've ever witnessed. I've only seen like 20 minutes of basically every reality show. Right. He was interesting because he did not become a reality character. He was just a boring person. He was just like, I'm just watching my books.
Starting point is 00:09:42 He was watching videos of deer that he wanted to shoot. He's just like, I'm just watching my books. He's like watching videos of like deer that he wanted to shoot. He's interesting. The whole relationship. It was funny because the last thing I remember seeing was that like they, when shit was getting shut down, they were stuck in the Bahamas together. I know. Like living it up. And I was like, oh, that must be nice.
Starting point is 00:10:02 Cut to their back and like, yeah, we're getting divorced. living it up and i was like oh that must be nice cut to their back and like yeah we're getting divorced um but it seems like they were having problems before all of this but they just always seem like a very very not real couple to me i don't know i i don't know i don't even know why i even cared enough to be like i don't know i don't know kristin i don't know if this is the one for you okay do what you what you got to do. Yeah. But she's accusing him of, what is it? Like unacceptable marital behavior or some shit. Oh, that's new.
Starting point is 00:10:33 I didn't know that. I just saw that they were getting a divorce yesterday. Oh, they said the reason, according to court documents, is both irreconcilable differences and, quote, inappropriate marital conduct. Do we know what the legal definition of that is no but i'm having a feeling it's like wilder than adultery infidelity yeah but i guess or maybe you do that you just do that to keep it obscure enough or vague enough that you don't say he was cheating right you know i mean because then but then you
Starting point is 00:11:03 can just say unacceptable conduct. The interesting thing is, too, the date it's filed is the day they got back from the Bahamas. Damn. You hate to see it again. We can't say that enough. You really hate to see these ones. There's already on InTouch,
Starting point is 00:11:20 who is Kelly Henderson? Kristen Cavallari's former friend is at center of Jay Cutler's cheating rumors. With her friend? That would be one example of inappropriate marital behavior. Oh, I think that's one example of it be your own. Her own best friend. Who is this woman?
Starting point is 00:11:42 Do we know? I don't know. I mean, you have to read In Touch, Miles. I can't give away In Touch's goods for free. Come on, man. Yeah, that's true. Everybody, check out In Touch. Get to the bottom of this story.
Starting point is 00:11:53 This is the important news we need to know. Aren't they AMI? Oh, yeah. AMI being David Peckars. Yeah, National Enquirer. Got it. Yep, they're AMI. Nah, maybe stay away from them. Yeah, National Enquirer. Got it. Yep, there am I. Nah, maybe stay away from them.
Starting point is 00:12:07 Yeah, maybe stay away from that. Maybe ignore the name Kelly Henderson because it's probably... Ignore the name Kristen Cavalieri. It's not going to help us in the apocalypse. That's true. Other things that won't help us in the apocalypse, Bill Simmons is basically getting dragged
Starting point is 00:12:22 on Twitter right now because on his podcast, he saidis rodman isn't interesting just dennis rodman culture that's just stupid what does he mean if he's not interesting then what what's his explanation for what people would perceive as interest i can't listen to his podcast anymore. I realized that I completely lost interest in his podcast when the quarantine hit. I think I was only listening to him for updates on what was happening in sports. I wasn't really listening to him for his takes.
Starting point is 00:12:57 I find them to be generally bad these days. So you had a Christian Cavallari moment with Jay Cutler in the Bahamas. Where I found out Bill Simmons was cheating on me with other listeners. Other people were listening to his podcast and I can't do it anymore. Inappropriate hosting behavior. So this is all around.
Starting point is 00:13:21 We're going to talk tomorrow about the episodes three and four of the Last Dance docuseries on ESPN they had the Robman episode in which they like included a bunch of really interesting things about him and still probably didn't do him justice but Phil Simmons was supposed to be
Starting point is 00:13:38 like an expert on basketball and he's like can we all just admit Dennis Robbins is not interesting um sir please it's not interesting? Um, geez, sir, please.
Starting point is 00:13:49 It's not hitting the same anymore, sir. Stand down. It's not hitting the same. Yeah. Anyways, that is what is trending this afternoon. We hope you guys are staying
Starting point is 00:13:57 safe, uh, washing your hands, distancing from one another, being kind to one another. Uh, we are back tomorrow with a banger of an episode, and we will talk to you guys then.
Starting point is 00:14:09 Have a great Monday afternoon. Bye. Bye. Kay hasn't heard from her sister in seven years. I have a proposal for you. Come up here and document my project. All you need to do is record everything like you always do. What was that?
