Starting point is 00:02:22 It's time to talk some trends. In the episode we're calling... Oh, right in the trend basket. Oh, that's going to hurt in the morning. Oh, my God. Anyway, it's Alex Jones and Rush Limbaugh hybrid here. Welcome to you. Talk about what's trending along with DJ Danil. How are you, Danil?
Starting point is 00:02:39 I'm good. Now, have you seen Black Lives Matter's posters in public? I have, actually. I Matter's posters in public? I have, actually. I have seen them in public, yes. Wow. I just heard about this. It sounds like white people may have been screwing up for centuries.
Starting point is 00:02:58 You hate to see it. Or maybe you don't, depending on your ideological disposition. Anyway, we digress. It's time to talk. What's, you know, what's going on, internet? What's popping? What are you talking about? What's popping? Wash popping, internet.
Starting point is 00:03:13 The first one is, yo, someite. Referring to another Donald Trump gaffe where he just very, very beautifully pronounced Yosemite uh the one of our country's finest national parks yo semite yeah and it sounded like yo semites like yeah for sure saw it as like semite or anti-semite totally and he read it as yo semite uh i believe it was vince mancini who had a tweet he said said, actually, Yo Semite is the name of Seth Rogen's new children's show. They should check out.
Starting point is 00:03:47 But I don't know what this whole, I don't know. It's just another long line of gaffes. But because of that Axios interview, nobody cares about Yo Semites right now. No. Although some people do. It's funny. Whatever. It's just funny to dance around the fact that of all of the things that he could mispronounce,
Starting point is 00:04:05 one of our most famous national parks, just even that doesn't even fall into the category of things he knows how to say. Absolutely. Period. Yeah. Words. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:04:16 I don't know. It's not you don't hate or love to see it. It's you see it all the time. Wow. I think that's a good one. Let's just do that. You see it. You see it.
Starting point is 00:04:22 You see it. There's no arguing that. You see it. Observed. And it's no arguing that. You see it. And it's unavoidable. Yep. What else? Also, Beirut, Lebanon is also trending because of a massive, massive explosion in the capital today. Really?
Starting point is 00:04:37 If you've been on the internet, these videos have been everywhere. It's very overwhelming to watch an explosion of that size i think is an understatement um they say right now there are about 50 people killed most likely another close to 3 000 injured but they are still going through the damage um and a very very very significant portion um of the city has been damaged so uh please keep that city in your prayers and thoughts. Seriously. Again, the video, it's, I don't know. I don't even know.
Starting point is 00:05:13 I don't even know. I don't even know what to say. It's monstrous. It's out of control. It's a huge, huge explosion. And I'm just with you. I think we're praying for more information and praying for everybody to, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:05:27 I hope everybody's okay. I hope at least some of those people are all right. That's, ugh. So, yeah. So, again, just 2020 continues to just give us things we never thought we'd be seeing. Also, happy birthday, Obak Barama. It's trending.
Starting point is 00:05:45 Barack Obama. It's trending. Barack Obama. It's his birthday. Yeah. Shout out to a president. And birthdays are happening all over the world. Yeah. Who else's birthday is it? Today's celeb birthdays.
Starting point is 00:05:59 That's what I search every day. And who else? It's Cole Sprouse and Dylan Sprouse's birthdays. Okay. The rapper Lil Skies. Birthday. Louis Armstrong, Satchmo himself. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:14 It's his birthday. That's a birthday. Meghan Markle. That's a birthday. Damn, that's a lot of people born today. There's a lot of birthdays. Iceberg Slim. Some black excellence going on.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Okay. Iceberg Slim? Yeah. Born the same day as obak barama indeed look at that how roger clemens antonio valencia the great ecuadorian football player formerly of answers united i mean i hate to hate to big him up but also the uh korea's daniel day lewis daniel day kim okay he is it's dude i feel like I'm looking at a joke list of all these people. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Well, yeah. So there's a lot of birthdays. A lot of birthdays. A lot of birthdays. And also, I think another reason, Barack Obama was trending because a lot of his endorsements, people were like, where is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez being endorsed? True. Is Ilhan Omar?
Starting point is 00:07:00 Important. Some other people? Some people were like, you know, going immediately for the, that's what the DNC will do to you. You just don't, you don't like these rabble rousers who are trying to bring attention to the real issues that are the ills. But I think this has, you know, some people are saying this is his first wave of endorsements. There'll be another one. He did eventually endorse AOC in her first election race. So whatever.
Starting point is 00:07:25 We'll see what happens. At the end of the day, people just be aware of who your candidates are and vote with purpose, not the politics. Important thing to take note of. Those endorsements mean something. And knowing who your candidates endorse and who they don't endorse is just as important. Just keep that in mind. Because then you'll be like, what? They don't fuck with each other?
Starting point is 00:07:43 What's going on? Those two record labels have beef? Let dig deeper very mask off sometimes when someone and then finally dan you know come on here you're like you're trying to get me to stop playing ghosts of tsushima and i'm not going to i don't know tsushima is probably my favorite game right now it's really good i just want to say to Sucker Punch, how dare you not offer people the ability to have the facial animations
Starting point is 00:08:10 be in the Japanese language? I don't want to watch a lip dub for material that is in Japanese and based in Japan. I don't need to see American mouth moving stuff.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Couldn't agree more. Shout out to my boy, Ty. He showed me a hack for the lip dub thing because it was bothering. He's also Japanese. We were like, oh, terrorist woman.
Starting point is 00:08:29 You can hack it? Well, all he did was he put a, he just put the big ass straw hat on his character where you couldn't see his face anymore. So it was just like, it's just coming out of there. For people who like a good samurai game, it's like Red Dead meets the samurai world, basically.
Starting point is 00:08:46 I'm really feeling it so far. It might be the best samurai game it's like red dead meets the samurai world basically i it's i'm really feeling it so far it might be the best samurai you know game i've played ever thus far sekiro i think is too hard yes sekiro definitely takes too much after dark souls i don't know uh but again you know uh sucker punch please give us those animations yes and there are things too i i realize that they're like culturally things that i wish they would it's weird like as i watch it and i see my character just like run through someone's house i'm like bro you would take your shoes off yes you might just run it through someone's house like that also like stealing that doesn't feel like very samurai you know what i mean because i get it's like a looter type game and that's how the mechanics of a game work but like maybe we alter those things like when you do a good deed the village people like you know honor you with
Starting point is 00:09:24 brolic amounts of gifts. And that's how the economy works. Let me tell you something. There's something called ludonarrative dissonance. That is a huge problem in Western created games about like, you know, the meme. They died.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Give me the thing you dropped. Right. But also, also what you may call it, Eric Andre shooting Hannibal Buress. And it's like, why would you, why would you make me do that?
Starting point is 00:09:42 That kind of thing. It's like so many games will put you in a situation, especially with this one where it was like, you're a samurai, you have to withhold your honor. And then they're like, why would you make me do that? That kind of thing. It's like so many games will put you in a situation, especially with this one, where it was like, you're a samurai, you have to withhold your honor. And then they're like, okay, but for this cut scene, we need you to do something that is dishonorable to show that your character's going through conflict. And then it's like, why would you do that?
Starting point is 00:09:59 You made me do that. There are also things too that like linguistically that are absent from the english language or the way things are expressed like saying there are moments where you will you know there'll be a peasant who you have to free from bondage and like someone would be like okay you're free now but literally what he's saying in japanese like i'm sorry i made you wait huh which is a very interesting thing to think of of how you know how we even look at culture like right even when
Starting point is 00:10:25 we're doing something for somebody else we're finding a way to apologize wow um so i think those are little linguistic things anyway we digress that's not even what we're here for yeah fall guys i think because we're talking about some japanese gaming things what is fall guys so fall guys is a new game by devolver digital it came out today it's free on ps plus it is 20 on steam and i think it's 20 bucks on xbox okay this is an ad bro if you were ever a fan of takeshi's castle most extreme elimination challenge or if you discovered that whole thing from games like wipe out or whatever this is a video game version of that it's super silly 60 players a game you just do all these dumb ass run from point A to point B while you're getting smacked
Starting point is 00:11:06 around by stuff. It's so much fun. It's really great. I stayed up late last night playing it. What's that other game that was like that was just about like the mechanics of a dude falling and it was like trying to do like the gnarliest like falls off a shit. It's kind of like it was like before Goat Simulator. Like you had this version of a game where it's like this guy's all floppy.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Yeah, it was like wasn't it like like Best Friend Simulator where you're just like throwing a game where it's like, this guy's all floppy. Yeah, it was like, wasn't it like Best Friends Simulator where you're just throwing a dude around a room? Was it a Flash animation game? Yeah, there was that one, and then it kind of got to the console. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Welcome to two older dudes talking about games
Starting point is 00:11:39 and boring their audience. Oh, and I just looked. We just lost half our audience. Okay, well, on that note, Daniel, thank you for joining me today. Talking about some games, talking about some events. You honor me, you honor the audience,
Starting point is 00:11:54 and they honor you. Yay! Yay! Never mind. So what we'll do, that'll be at... What are you, at DJ underscore Daniel? DJ underscore Daniel DJ underscore.
Starting point is 00:12:05 Daniel on Twitter. Where can I find you? Where can I find you? Daniel. Oh, come on, man. It's about you right now, man. You know, I was I was where you were at, you know, before, man. So I'm just trying to get everybody where I'm at.
Starting point is 00:12:16 All right, y'all. With that. Thank you so much. Check us out tomorrow morning. We have a normal episode as usual. And until then, you know, just be safe out there. We're please wear a mask. Please wash your hands.
Starting point is 00:12:25 And as Jack says, don't do nothing about white supremacy out there. Please wear a mask. Please wash your hands. And as Jack says, don't do nothing about white supremacy. Amen. You know the mantra. All right. Bye. Deuce.
