Starting point is 00:00:00 Kay hasn't heard from her sister in seven years. I have a proposal for you. Come up here and document my project. All you need to do is record everything like you always do. What was that? That was live audio of a woman's nightmare. Can Kay trust her sister or is history repeating itself? There's nothing dangerous about what you're doing.
Starting point is 00:00:18 They're just dreams. Dream Sequence is a new horror thriller from Blumhouse Television, iHeartRadio, and Realm. I am going to share my journey of how I went from Christianity to now a Hebrew Israelite. For some former NFL players, a new faith provides answers. You mix homesteading with guns in church. Voila! You got straight away. They try to save everybody save everybody listen to spiraled on the iheart radio app apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts hello the internet and welcome to this episode of the tampa bay zeitning shout out to hockey huh miles oh yeah are we bonding now we are a bonded pair now and if we're adopted're going to have to take both of us home with them.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Because hockey. Because hockey. I remember when the Lightning came out in the league, and I thought the jersey was cool. And that was about it. Yeah. All right. Let's tell the people what's trending.
Starting point is 00:02:41 I'm Jack O'Brien. You are? I am Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa Bay. Miles Gray, a.k.a. Miles Gray. Yep people what's trending. I'm Jack O'Brien. You are? I am Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa Bay. Miles Gray, a.k.a. Miles Gray. Yep. A.k.a. So National Radio Day is trending.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Shout out to radios. Shout out to radio. Shout out to making the space for us podcasters to fully branch out and spread our wings. Totally. Also, RIP to radio radio you know what i mean y'all know what time it is we're coming for y'all no i don't think they do but uh yeah my experience they do not rush your time's up bro uh wait till i do my own knockoff version of your show and completely fuck with your audience when they don't know what they're
Starting point is 00:03:21 listening to yo so that's the thing we've been seeing in the podcast space is that people will just clone like they'll just put up a show and it'll be the actual show like they'll put up uh daily zeitgeist in a separate feed with the name the daily zeitgeist but they'll just like i don't know they're getting something out of it uh like donate five dollars you should just do a rush impression and post a show that is rush like that is the same title as rush uh and oh yeah put out like seed some good ideas seed some good ideas and then immediately invite the lightning strike of a conservative ire on internet and the entire life yeah okay i'm good for it let's go down chris weber uh has been trending frequently over the past few days due to his uh stellar work as a commentator on tnt he is
Starting point is 00:04:16 like y'all thought reggie miller was bad um this dude is at least has some intonation in his voice a little bit at times. Chris Webber sounds like he is always... His line of logic really reminds me of my brain when I'm trying to talk and also falling asleep. That's honestly how his mind works. That's how he speaks. It's impossible to listen to. I have no idea how he continues to be on the air. Two nights in a row, they had him on the air.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Also, if it sounds like I'm bitter, one of the biggest assholes in NBA history. Let's just leave it at that. Yeah, I don't fuck with Chris Webber. Again, we said before yes the fab five was cool as a one time hell yeah a positive uh feeling about something who's the one member of the fab five who's not cool with the rest of the fab five chris weber um so yeah shout out to jaylen rose the best his like slow delivery i honestly thought he was james worthy the first
Starting point is 00:05:24 time i like they have similar voice i'm like damn james sounds more energetic and then i'm like it's why would i why would james worthy like why would it be james worthy and i'm like it's chris weber of course when chris weber is uh trending on twitter it's worth clicking on because people do really good impressions of like just how chris weber would describe this, how Chris Webber would describe it. It's like when it comes to colors such as, and therefore, it's just he knows he's supposed to be talking, so he's talking, but it's just filling space. Just stretching it, stretching it.
Starting point is 00:05:55 He did a three-possession-long comparison of James Harden and Luka Doncic during the game yesterday. And it was like, everybody went to Twitter. People were like, I just created a Twitter account to say this shit is unbelievable. JJ Redick even came through and was like, JJ Redick said, hey, if you're tuning into tonight's game, like game, what are you doing in terms of listening? Turning it off at the start? Turning it off 35 seconds in? Turning it off one minute?
Starting point is 00:06:31 Those are the only options because you literally can't listen to this dude talk. He is a nightmare and a bad human. Fuck Chris Webber. Wow. Steven Miller. What's that dude's deal? Teenage Mutant Ninja Gerbils. He's back at it again with his shit takes.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Teenage Mutant Ninja Gerbils. Yep. Fascist with no hair. Line. White power. Did you just make that up? Yeah. Sometimes a ghost hits you.
Starting point is 00:07:02 And you get the inspiration. The genius visits you. But yeah, he was, again, caught out here last night. Barack Obama was talking that shit, basically being like, yeah, this president fucking sucks. I don't know if you guys are seeing this, but this is just straight up bullshit. And so Stephen Miller had a quote, and the thing that a lot of people are tweeting out and talking about is he's like, Barack Obama was one of the worst presidents probably of all time. And it's like, oh, yeah. Okay. Thanks, fool. Just
Starting point is 00:07:33 keep it moving. Didn't seem to be the consensus based on his approval rating, what everybody was saying on Twitter, who wasn't racist. Okay, so I'm going to put this out there and I don't want to put any more dampener on... dampener? Put more dampener on it. I don't want to damp the enthusiasm around the DNC anymore,
Starting point is 00:07:59 but did it seem like he just did one take of that speech? I didn't watch it. Okay. it's not like they were just like some protest stumbles and stuff and he seemed like a little low energy maybe it's just the lack of audience there but you know we know that we know that about barry he feeds off the audience man he feeds off the crowd that's why him in that podcast i'm like oh come on michelle just keep talking like get the sleepy guy out of here right yeah i don't know i just
Starting point is 00:08:29 didn't watch it just because you know i'm like i could watch a thing where i'm beginning to get frustrated about like a group of people in power who i don't feel are sincerely engaging with the issues they're trying to speak passionately about or i can just continue to be like okay i will i need to do some self-care and just you know read or something else so i'm not just being like people are dying and you're leaving them all behind because that's kind of like the the energy i get sometimes when i look at the state of things so yeah tweet kamala harris uh elizabeth warren everybody seems a little sleepy and i it must be because it's everyone it must be just the lack of the crowd makes it seem like i don't think i could give a good zoom speech there's no way i mean we do it every day what do you yeah but we're talking to each other it's not
Starting point is 00:09:16 like you know like uh or sometimes yes i'll get on my fucking steamroller and just start talking for like nine minutes straight but like it's different when i don't know like just imagine jack like looking into this light in your laptop and try and like effectively sort of deliver something the same way when you can like ride the energy of a crowd so whatever i mean it is what it is as michelle obama famously said a couple nights uh amy adams is trending anyway shot but i i did watch the obama speech it was good it was just like i don't know is he like the return to bare minimum take he's like the he's the uh jay-z the bob dylan or jay-z of yeah of speeches he's just like nah man that's you got it they're like uh and then how would you like us to put the speech on the prompter? He's like, prompter?
Starting point is 00:10:06 I don't write shit down. It's all in here. Now roll the tape. Here we go. Amy Adams is trending. Now normally when a celebrity is trending because it's their birthday, I don't give a shit. But Amy Adams is 46 years old.
Starting point is 00:10:25 She's been in the game for a minute, huh? She has been in the game give a shit. But Amy Adams is 46 years old. Oh, she's been in the game for a minute, huh? She has been in the game for a minute. She looks, I would not have guessed 46 at all. These are the people who helped me realize that 40s are the new 20s. I'm like, yep. Damn. No, no, no. Yeah, let's do it.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Amy Adams, what was the first, I feel like my first interaction with her may have been on the office. I think of like when I remember her, what was it? I remember her first big movie. I remember confusing her with Jenna Fisher being like this. The Pam is really, that's what they did. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:11:03 That whole, it was like, it was like almost like like maniacal casting from wait it was almost like really vindictive casting the way they're like let's get some like this let's get the woman who's about to steal your career right because i wonder what that is like and i'm sure there's probably an episode of the office ladies where jenna fisher discusses that but i haven't listened to it but i think with there was that moment where like jim quite literally starts dating amy adams because he can't have jenna fisher she's been good in so many things i just like googled her she's uh
Starting point is 00:11:36 so i think the first thing i saw her in and i dropped dead gorgeous that's the first thing she did of course what is that the movie drop dead movie... Drop Dead Gorgeous with Nicole Kidman? Oh, okay. She was also in Enchanted. What year was Drop Dead Gorgeous? I'm mixing it up. It's the Denise Richards, Kirsten Dunst,
Starting point is 00:11:57 Allison Janney, the Beauty Queen comedy. Mm-hmm. Totally. I actually don't know that at all. it's pretty funny but she's murphy's in it what year was it like 99 or something oh yeah 99 yeah yeah damn so she she was doing it all the way back then uh i first her first starring role, I think, was Enchanted. What's Enchanted? She was in Catch Me If You Can. She was in The Fighter. She was good.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Night at the Museum. She was great in Night at the Museum. That's one of those performances, Battle for the Smithsonian, where I was like, whoa, this is a really great performance in an otherwise man movie movie yeah but i was like damn she's real otherwise empty she plays amelia erhart and she's like just lifts throws that movie on her shoulders and so good uh sharp objects obviously one of the better performances. Talladega Nights. Man, she's good.
Starting point is 00:13:07 Shout out. And the hits keep coming. Yeah. And they'll never stop. Oh, she was on that 70s show. I did not know that. I did not know that. Anyway, sorry, guys.
Starting point is 00:13:23 That's just me reading Amy Adams' filmography. She's a good actress. What else is trending? Oh, and then finally, there's just me reading Amy Adams's filmography. She's a good actress. What else is trending? Oh, and then finally, there's just this story about... Just this story. This old chestnut about an opposition leader in Russia being poisoned, possibly. Ah, yes. Yeah, so the number one thing,
Starting point is 00:13:42 I just thought this would... The number one picture on Reddit, the number one thing, I just thought this, the number one picture on Reddit, the number one trending thing on Reddit is Vladimir Putin pouring tea for two leaders he's having tea with, and they're both being like, no, no, thanks, we're good. And that is because he has poisoned another person with tea.
Starting point is 00:14:03 Yeah, Alexei Navalny, who's a pretty prominent critic. Have we ever had a dictator who was a serial killer? You have the dictators who kill a lot of people, but they usually don't have a calling card that they're like, yeah, you can tell it's me because I put plutonium in their tea or whatever drone strikes count i don't think they do yeah yeah i don't know it's all very any kind of mass murder on behalf of right any kind of mess but they usually at least like their
Starting point is 00:14:40 intention is to like mask it or make it seem like it wasn't them or hide it. But he goes out of his way to leave a calling card like a serial killer. No, it's very dark and it's a clear message to anyone who would think to have a countering opinion to this dictator. And when you look at all the things, like the conversations that have been ongoing between trump and putin especially now like going into the election and the intelligence that we're reading about all the intersections and collusion that occurred during 2016 yeah uh yeah it's oh yeah the senate intelligence did you guys talk about the senate intelligence report earlier no i mean we can talk maybe we'll we'll we'll touch on that getting into next week i mean because
Starting point is 00:15:25 really that whole the thing is so wild because it's like all the language that muller had in his report was like he couldn't just quite go there with it because he was still kind of operating on this legal like i'm trying to bring a criminal charge where there's like they did this this is what happened this was spoke to who it's because of this and you're like right exactly that's what we what we thought paul manafort was feeding them all this data so they could yeah yeah yeah okay thank you for just saying that unequivocally now uh and i don't know what that does to sway does that move the needle anymore that's like how i think how bad the situation is at the moment is that even in the light of that most people knew that to be true sort of subconsciously and just sort of accepted that.
Starting point is 00:16:07 And now we're going into an election where there are all kinds of things going on on how to basically, we're watching like the step-by-step dismantling of whatever the status quo was. It was way easier than we thought. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Well, that's going to do it for today. We'll leave on that happy note. Happy. I'm going to watch watch arrival and hope the aliens come and then maybe that'll help uh sort things out maybe putin is sponsored by like starbucks or something and they're just like trying to get people tivana more like yeah yeah or so well um yeah i'm just trying to think of like who would be interested in turning people off of tea? I guess not Starbucks. Right, right, right.
Starting point is 00:16:48 Big booch. Right. Big booch. Anyways, guys, that's going to do it for today. We'll be back tomorrow with a whole ass episode of our show. Until then, be kind to each other. Be kind to yourselves. Wear a mask.
