Listen to Señora Sex Ed on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hello, the internet, and welcome to this episode of The Last Air Trendr. We've done it before, you get your podcasts. putting that little extra uh announcer spin on it yeah because like it's weird because i'm actually my last name smith weird hey that's what your last name wants to be your last it's more common than uh o'brien and ireland just no big deal you nailed me with that one by fact checking my bullshit claim that i'm like you literally said o'brien is the smith of ireland i was like actually smith is more common than o'brien smith is the smith of ireland dumb dumb uh anyways that that's good to say up top you You can't trust anything I say. And these are the things that are trending,
Starting point is 00:03:06 allegedly, according to me. Nicholas Braun is trending. He is, of course, the big doofy guy from Succession. Cousin Greg. Cousin Greg. Show some respect. I say, of course, even though I had no idea what his real name was.
Starting point is 00:03:22 I say of course even though I had no idea what his real name was but he has a it's a very specific genre of men's magazine article where they're like he's about to take the world by storm he's making his move and it just seems so
Starting point is 00:03:38 contrary to his energy that it's like you know they write the article as like this man's man's about to fuck your shit up that it's like, you know, they write the article as like, this man's man's about to fuck your shit up. And it's just Cousin Greg. Well, I will say he's the king of Dumois, which is the, like, the gossip Instagram that's, you know, you can't trust it
Starting point is 00:04:00 because nothing is actually, you know, they don't have any, like, backing for everything. And that's kind of what they tell you. go on there just look at like trash gossip gossip that may or may not be true and a lot of blind items but like literally nicholas braun slash cousin greg is like constantly spotted all over new york all the time oh really he's always on there be like saw him again like he's just everywhere like a party monster it's not he's a party monster it's just like ever like maybe he is but like the con he's just always out in the streets always at bars always talking to people everyone has a friend who's hooked up with him like it's just like he's just all over like all over dumas like people he's just out
Starting point is 00:04:38 there he's out here so i think that article might have uh picked on something. Ellie Kemper is trending. She is Kimmy Schmidt from The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. She played a character on The Office for a couple seasons. And people dug up a photo of her as a 19-year-old. She looks like a child in the photograph. Except being crowned Miss what is it? It's like Veil Prophet
Starting point is 00:05:09 Prophet Veil and that is apparently an organization with white supremacy ties or white supremacy ideology and it's very strange she has pages who are young children with strange hats on i've never seen anywhere else sort of looking up to her with very serious um you know the expression of
Starting point is 00:05:37 uh time-worn ideology on there just like they just look so serious. They're like little blonde white girls who look like they're like Damien-esque in their devotion to her of like, whatever you want. This is failed profit. So she has not.
Starting point is 00:06:01 People were pointing this out on Twitter. She has not commented on it, put it into perspective, put it into any context. So remains to be seen. Very, very strange. America is a weird white supremacist nation. Yeah, I mean, I hope she does say something about it. But I mean, like for the most part for me it's
Starting point is 00:06:25 like it looks like she's from like some dumb small town that's like you know built on white supremacy like most dumb small towns in this country so i don't know this is kind of like okay yeah sounds like something her parents insisted she did right Right. Right. All right. Yeah. So we'll see. We'll see what she has to say. Cruella was trending over the weekend. So this is a movie we talked about on today's episode before any of us had seen it. I still have not seen it.
Starting point is 00:06:59 But the reason that it was trending is something that happens early on. So I will say, spoiler alert, it's something that happens and it so i will say a spoiler alert it's something that happens and it seems like the first like 15 minutes but if you don't want any aspect of cruella spoiled for you uh maybe skip forward a couple minutes but cruella's mom is killed by Dalmatians. Oh, give me a break. She's chased off of a cliff by ferocious Dalmatians and hence Cruella's lifelong obsession, which seems like, I mean, there's no way that should have made it out of a single,
Starting point is 00:07:45 like the very first pitch meeting where that was suggested. Um, but I don't know. It may, maybe there were, it was like so plot by committee that they were like, you're going to want to have, make her sympathetic guys.
Starting point is 00:07:59 Gotta, she has to have a reason. There's no, I have no sympathy for that. What are you even talking about this is something cruella said at a dinner party everyone's like she's had one too many drinks what is she talking about i don't believe her for a goddamn second she is not a reliable like narrative like i don't trust you so you're uh positing that cruella is full of shit and and the movie is her version of events as told
Starting point is 00:08:29 well partially drunk yeah so i like thinking about that that like what so all movies are like subjective some subjective take on things what character's version of events is this um like well that's the thing it's like you're telling me your mom was chased off a cliff which is like where where is this even happening that there's a cliff that dalmatians exist around okay i'm sorry there's what ecosystem is this and so that happens and then you choose to kill and skin dalmatians to wear on your body to what? Constantly remember your mother's death by? I don't know. Like to me, that's not, I don't get the connection. Because if I were to, I don't know, want to take revenge on a certain type of dog,
Starting point is 00:09:14 I wouldn't wear them. So I'm constantly looking at them. Right. I mean, yeah, it's like. Nice try, Cruella. If instead of becoming Batman, uh bruce wayne had become like mugger man i guess all right bad bad metaphor uh where are you going this kind of does mug people in a way like bad guys yeah he does he stops bad guys but it's not like
Starting point is 00:09:38 he wears them on his body uh yeah also she dyed her hair to look like that like there is i don't know maybe she's like she is in some sort of psychosis because because of this incident that now she's so deeply obsessed with the dalmatian that she herself has become a dalmatian i don't know but to me i don't believe it because it's like why do you want to constantly bring up this trauma in your life actually now that i think about if yeah actually yeah yeah now how many villains slash like um kind of like revenge type characters like the punisher or whoever's just like john wick if they had gone into like a a um inpatient like therapy trauma program um would these movies even exist nope no they would not and that's what we should encourage let's stop encouraging people watching these movies let's encourage therapy because that this
Starting point is 00:10:42 behavior unacceptable yeah they're just John wick was pretty cool so actually he could he can be cool he can keep doing that but like cruella come on better help like you can you can do this girl you don't need to keep bringing all this anger back out you know like just you need to process it feel it don't wear it on you like a badge of trauma you don't need that but it is kind of what
Starting point is 00:11:12 what Joker did right like instead of Joker needs therapy too oh yeah that was literally like a plot point there the city runs out of money to give him therapy and then he starts killing people. But rather than his first victim being an innocent person,
Starting point is 00:11:35 it's like the most punchable stockbrokers in the world. It's like he has his excuse for greed and greed made him do it. So it's just that, but with dogs, with vicious Dalmatians, which I didn't know were a thing. There is going to be a meat shortage because of some hackers who hacked the biggest meat producer in these United States.
Starting point is 00:12:08 JBS is what it's called. I don't know what that stands for. Just beef stuff, probably. They had to suspend their North American and Australian computer systems after an organized assault on Sunday on some of its servers. So I wouldn't eat meat for a little while because people are going to be looking for strange sources of meat. Now, do you think this was done to just stop meat consumption in general?
Starting point is 00:12:43 Yeah, I think people think that it was activist hackers okay now see here's where they went wrong because this meat are all already exists so what you should do you got to free the cows right right you go to the original source because at this point all that meat's already been slaughtered we've already gotten rid of all those animals we We should have. You gotta... Now, this is my problem with activists. They're just sitting behind screens. They're not actually out there anymore.
Starting point is 00:13:14 I'm just joking. Interesting choice of thing to do. I don't know. And finally, there's that bear video that everybody's passing around um in which a woman who you've pointed out uh astutely uh has the energy of joan cusack
Starting point is 00:13:37 so basically what happens a bear is uh scaling the wall between her backyard and a neighbor's backyard with its two bear cubs. Her dogs come out very aggressively barking at the bear being like, and what? And then the bear takes a swipe at the dogs and the woman runs out and pushes the bear off the wall and then picks up her dogs and runs back inside. Yeah. The energy is something else.
Starting point is 00:14:16 She was just protecting her cub. I know, but you need a type of adrenaline to come out of bear with your hands out like that. Bears are bears. I don't have to that you don't bears are bears are bears I don't have to say this but bears are bears yeah and to just be like like go full
Starting point is 00:14:32 on and push a bear yeah that's she was probably working on some she was also in like her what looked like like a day dress like she was just like it hit her she was like I need to protect my babies I'm Joan Cusack. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:46 And I'm going for it. Super producer Brian Jeffries has pointed out that she is probably one of the 8% of women that said they could defeat a bear in a fight, which was a statistic that we talked about on last week's episode. There's a small portion of the population who believe they can defeat anything, it seems like.
Starting point is 00:15:11 Any animal, including elephants, bears, and geese, which people have gotten mad at me for thinking I could take a geese. Apparently not. Take a geese. I got bit by a geese when I was a kid, and I guess i was like two but still they kicked my ass yeah you've never uh forgiven them you now dress up as a goose
Starting point is 00:15:35 and i wear i wear yeah i yeah i strictly sleep on goose feathered pillows okay you have that that bill necklace yeah i well i mean a part of me feels like maybe i could like run up and kick it but they seem fast they seem real fast those beaks no thank you all right guys that is what's trending on this fine tuesday afternoon the very first afternoon of june happy j. We are back tomorrow with a whole ass episode of the show. Until then, be kind to each other. Be kind to yourselves. Get the vaccine.
Starting point is 00:16:13 Don't do nothing about white supremacy. And we will talk to y'all tomorrow. Bye. And free Palestine. And free Palestine. Defne Caruana Galizia was a Maltese investigative journalist who on October 16th, 2017, was assassinated. Crooks Everywhere unearthed the plot to murder a one-woman WikiLeaks.
