Starting point is 00:02:13 That is courtesy of Johnny Davis. Many others have suggested it. I could have sworn it was like the second one we ever did. But I guess if it's not in the title of a trending episode then we didn't use it all right so we just called into the booth their their officials are looking at it and it's it got in we're good nice we are officially uh so shout out to all you people who are working for david beckham uh in the we see you we know what's going on. Yeah, we see you. We get it. We get it. He's on the new update of FIFA 21 that no one wants to buy because it's just a reskin of the old one.
Starting point is 00:02:51 We get it. But I bought it anyway because I'm in a bad relationship with EA Sports right now. Anyway. Does EA do ā€“ what's their NBA game? It used to be live, but now it's all... I mean, 2K is the only thing that people play now. I mean, soccer is still the same two games.
Starting point is 00:03:09 It's like either FIFA or you're playing PES. And PES is better, but whatever. This isn't a game... Look, Jack, I don't know what you're trying to do. You're trying to get me to talk about what you want to talk about, which is video games. And I'm not doing it. That's right.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Always angling in that direction. All right, you caught me me you caught me this time yeah i could go in deep on uh double dribble theory oh shit my favorite nba game uh yeah it's the the names aren't actually nba team names but you could tell who's who and when you get caught in that loop where you can hit threes from the corner uh there's no stopping uh anyways let's talk about what's trending which is not double dribble on yes uh basketball game uh it is george soros he is trending um because uh and i haven't fact checked this yet but i heard he was arrested in philadelphia for uh election interference yep yep exactly dude that's exactly
Starting point is 00:04:09 what's happening your newswire i think first reported on this george soros has been arrested and is currently being held in federal custody in philadelphia bro cut to that did not happen um and this is where i think this is the state of things now for uh people who are hoping that the president is going to still be the president is now they're like oh george soros got arrested so you know things about the kraken is about to you know i'll tell you what's cracking that that's what's cracking uh so i don't know that they're just these are feel-good stories for people who want to reject the results of a election of a couple quick questions yeah um was sydney powell so sydney powell the uh lawyer who recently we we talk on tomorrow's episode how
Starting point is 00:04:58 she got ditched by rudy and the rest of the gang uh even el presidente uh but she put like release the crack and was trending because she was like and we're gonna release the crack and in an interview had that had that like media like the right-wing media not heard that phrase before and that's why they were like it's release the crack in time. I don't know. It's hard to know. Even Jenna Ellis was like, Sidney Powell has released the Kraken. And you're like, you mean because of that shit she said at the podium at the press conference?
Starting point is 00:05:35 That was no Kraken. Right, yeah. That was crackhead. That was not anything substantial. That was just nonsense. Yeah. Anyways, my other question on in response to this is what is going to have to happen for for like this universe where there's two realities there's like an entire chunk big chunk uh of america that believes a completely false separate version of reality.
Starting point is 00:06:08 I don't know. I don't know. It's just, I don't know. I don't know. I'm hoping that it's, again, it's just another form of when people didn't like how Game of Thrones ended. Right. And it's petitions and a lot of hand ringing and being like oh it's fucking stupid anyways fucking fuck hbo like it's like fuck
Starting point is 00:06:29 fox look fuck you know benioff is now tucker carlson like right it's like fuck that guy i wasn't fucking with him anyway and then you know you're gonna you know you're gonna watch the old tapes to feel good again i don't know i mean that's then the other version is like it's people are so far gone that like it the only way they could respond to them so someone up ending their reality is like to be violent i don't know right but it seems like just with the energy people have and like again i like to i've been a little bit more on top of just kind of looking at right wing talk on the internet to see like sort of where they're at. And it sounds like there's also a lot of the sentiment too, is like the down ass,
Starting point is 00:07:08 like death cult people are now getting mad at like the casuals for not being like as down as they were about it. They're like, now we're starting to see like who was built for this and who wasn't, you know what I mean? Like, because there's, there's some of us out here that know what,
Starting point is 00:07:21 what time it is and what we got to do. And if you don't, and if you're not about that, then like, see you later. We'll remember that. So I don't know. It all depends on how you look at it and what you want to believe. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:34 I think we're probably going to need somebody to, I don't know, take the shit down. The government will need to save us and that federal government hasn't been so good at doing that lately but no no no no yeah this this two separate reality social media thing just is is does not seem to be headed in a good direction uh you heard it here first uh let's talk about let's talk tony meatballs uh That is a name that is trending. Yep, yep, yep. Because, shout out to Philadelphia, really monopolizing the news stream. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:14 So the Philly Mafia, a bunch of people from the Philadelphia Mafia have been indicted on federal racketeering charges. Yeah. Philadelphia mafia have been indicted on federal racketeering charges. Yeah. And one of, is this one of the people who was indicted or just one of his associates? I mean, you know, the reason it's trending is people are being like, I don't know if y'all are looking at the names of these people who got caught up in this Rico case in Philly. And I'm just going to read through them because it, I think the reason it's trending is it's
Starting point is 00:08:43 so like the movie version of like mob names. Steven Mazzone, a.k.a. Stevie, Dominic Grande, a.k.a. Dom. Then you get to a.k.a. this dude, Dominic Grande. He had a few names, a.k.a. Dom, a.k.a. Mr. Hopkins, a.k.a. Mr. Brown, a.k.a. Dom 14. Dom 14. That the fuck that means? That's just his, like, instant messenger name. Yeah, I don't know. Then you got Joseph Servideo, a.k.a. Joey Electric. Salvatore, Matt.
Starting point is 00:09:18 I mean, Joey Electric. I love Joey Electric. Hell yeah. Louie Barretta, a.k.a. Louie Sheep. Victor DeLuca, a.k.a. Big Vic. joey electric hell yeah uh louis baretta aka louis sheep victor deluca aka big uh big vic uh kenneth arabia aka kenny wait what sucks yeah he didn't get a good one man yeah uh daniel castelli aka danny aka kazi aka butch then you get uh the real one anthony gifoli aka tony meatballs he's 73 so he's kind of got the old school name yeah i mean that name is is great and then you get other ones who just has their regular names
Starting point is 00:09:54 without any like uh aliases so i feel bad for those guys like john michael pain who's just john michael pain no i'm sorry jay tony, why don't you bring John Michael Payne in here so we can talk to him? John Michael Payne. My name's Victor Enzo. We like your nickname, kid. You're going to be John Michael Payne. That feels right for you.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Yeah, that is the best list of names since the uh mad max fury road was coming out and like we first started seeing the names of the characters oh yeah from that it was like yeah just all sorts of dope names this uh i think this needs a needs a picture what would your mob nickname be do you want a food based one or you think you want something that's more about like... Oh, yeah, it'd be Potatoes O'Brien. That's what they'd call you? They wouldn't call you like the Irishman? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:50 I mean, Potatoes would be their dismissive way of calling me the Irishman. They'd call me like Eggplant Parmesan or Eggplant Tempura or some fucked up racist shit. Yeah, probably. Almost definitely. Almost definitely. That's why I didn't get into the mob. They're racist. I knew a kid on the Jersey Shore whose dad was mob connected,
Starting point is 00:11:14 and he used to brag that can't nobody choke him, which just fell of a piece with these nicknames. Can't nobody choke me. Alright, Vito. His name was Vito. Shout out to him. Yeah, yeah. It's one thing motherfuckers don't know. Can nobody choke me?
Starting point is 00:11:37 I like the narrator coming in like, yeah, the narrator's like, he was in fact very chokeable. It's like him in a jujitsu class. It's like, alright, I class like alright I tap I tap go easy bro what the fuck tap tap
Starting point is 00:11:51 I'm gonna puke bro that was way too hard don't choke like that fuck and finally Pinkerton is trending actually we got two more trends Pinkerton's trending because so the Pinkertons we know about them Pinkerton is trending. Actually, we've got two more trends. Pinkerton's trending because the Pinkertons, we know about them
Starting point is 00:12:08 historically. The private detective agency, which is basically just they would be paid by capital and big corporations to go in and bust up unions and just
Starting point is 00:12:24 do the dirty work of american capitalism uh seriously be like well i'm sorry these people are asking for fair wages oh call the pinkertons who basically like we're gonna beat the shit out of these people until they leave like that used to be how labor disputes were settled and then that became the secret service naturally that became right exactly in the cia uh we've been seeing evidence of the bleed between like that old school like military intelligence like like the cia and corporations from like the weinstein story uh i've been reading the bush family story uh where it's all over the place they're like so cia connected all the way up and down
Starting point is 00:13:06 all their friends are cia connected um all their businesses are cia fronts but now amazon is bringing pinkertons back and you using actual pinkertons to spy on workers who might seem interested in organizing to uh protect the human human rights of the people who labor for Amazon. They're also monitoring Greta Thunberg. Oh, look at them. I mean, it happens. If you remember anything from history, the Homestead Strike was the reason there was an anti-pinkerton act because like they were hiring again goons to just bludgeon and beat people who are seeking any kind of equity like the fucking pullman strike the ludlow massacre i remember is like the one where like coal miners
Starting point is 00:13:54 were striking and then people just came to fucking killing people like yeah this is what and to think now that in this year we have fucking pinkertons now in the same situation of people being like uh this is a fucked up work environment i feel like i'm being completely you know i'm expendable i'm not even a human being uh and like they're deploying pinkertons to investigate is so dark if you've read anything about american history you should your skin should be crawling even more off your body if you even have skin to crawl off your body at this point, allow it to crawl some more. And, you know, social media, which in addition to creating a separate reality where you can believe that George Soros was arrested by Philadelphia police for election interference. world where Pinkertons can just like sit on a computer and do all the research they need to to mess with you and slant your reality and in such a direction that it favors
Starting point is 00:14:52 Amazon corporate interests yeah it's it's pretty wild Tony doesn't know is trending because there was a question posed. What is the best fake song, like a song that exists in the universe of a movie or TV show, but doesn't exist in reality? And people's answer was Tony doesn't know, which was, sorry,
Starting point is 00:15:21 Scotty doesn't know. I got, I got Tony meatballs on the brain. We all do bro. Tony Albondigas Antonio Albondigas Oh man, I look like an idiot calling it Tony doesn't know Everyone knows it's Scotty doesn't know But I like that you're transparent enough
Starting point is 00:15:36 That we won't edit that out No, definitely not We got Meatballs on the brain That is a song from Eurotrip That I hadn't heard I don't know I song from eurotrip uh that i hadn't heard i don't know i don't i mean eurotrip's cool i'm not like i haven't seen it more than twice i think because i went to high school michelle tractenberg and at the time i was like what is that like people are really loving this shit uh but the best i love all this shit. I think That Thing You Do has probably some of my more favorite
Starting point is 00:16:08 in the reality of the film songs. Like when he was doing I Am Spartacus, when he was just vibing in the studio by himself. But then That Thing You Do as a song, it's one of the few songs I feel like I could almost sing all of the words to. Yeah. It's one of the few songs I feel like I could almost sing all of the words to. Inside of You by Infinite Sorrow. Right, from Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
Starting point is 00:16:36 That's like the Russell brand. The puppet one, I think I like the puppet song, the vampire shit, better than Inside of You. Yeah, that shit is good but like do song that's the question is a little strange because like do songs that are just like musical numbers in movies that that counts as a song that doesn't exist in our world because then you could do any musical ever right right and then see then then it becomes that song by the king and hamilton you know so i still think about that a little bit alexis from schitt's creek is getting some love i don't know if you oh i'm not there yet i'm i'm i just started watching schitt's creek actually you know
Starting point is 00:17:15 i'm getting through my backlog of like recommended viewing i fucking love it uh but i'm only in like season two right now and i think it's a ladder because everyone's like have you gotten to the part where alexis Alexis has her single? And I'm like, what? I'm like, no, fool. I'm not even... She's still acting like she's going to marry this one dude. So yes, I will have to keep going.
Starting point is 00:17:35 Yeah, yeah. It's very... I just put... Sarah and I just finished it last night, the whole series, and ends well. Great show. And that song does rule or maybe i think the perfect approximation of like any of those songs by real housewives that are
Starting point is 00:17:54 like overproduced just right right right yeah like money can't buy you class as we all know the countess luann i think there is think there's also a track from Brain Candy, Kids in the Hall. Not that it's super memorable, but there's a scene where Grevo has a song called Some Days It's Dark, and I really like that song. Some Days It's Dark? Some Days It's Dark, yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:21 It's just like the most emo thing. And then the whole, have you seen Brain Candy? I haven't, actually. Oh, man it's like tried to find it multiple times oh yeah it's it's like i don't think it's it's around for streaming that easily like it's like a thing i've had to own on dvd but there's a the whole premise is like they're trying to find a drug to like cure depression and there's this one character bruce mccullough plays called grivo who's just like just like dark like musician yeah and they're like grivo they're like i hear he's too depressed even go on stage tonight and like that's like his whole mystique and then as like the world evolves with the introduction of their new drug gleamon x grivo suddenly goes from songs called some days it's
Starting point is 00:19:00 dark to this one called happiness pie and it's like like, just like, he's like, so like, he's just sort of chemically like, I love happiness. Anyway, Grevo, check it out. Kids in the Hall. Shout out to Grevo. Shout out Grevo. All right. I don't have any answers better than,
Starting point is 00:19:17 I mean, David Brent's tracks, like when he's got his little acoustic guitar out in the British office is pretty fun. Oh yeah. Who could forget? Goodbye my sweet princess. little acoustic guitar out in the british office is pretty fun oh yeah who could forget goodbye my sweet princess i love that song the one that just like randomly goes off into like a spaceman direction like oh yeah spaceman can down yo dude i love that episode is such a fucking good episode
Starting point is 00:19:44 where they're trying to learn something and he can't stand that the person there to teach them. Yeah. He's like, I got to get my guitar. There is no 14th floor. Sometimes the complaints will be false. Yeah. It's like, oh, my God. I think you're going to want to hear this.
Starting point is 00:20:01 Actually, when I have this complaint, the other thing is, yeah, that song. Spaceman came down to answer some things. The wood gathered round from poppies to kings. I'll answer your questions. I'll answer them true. I'll show you the way. You'll know what to do. Who is wrong and who is right?
Starting point is 00:20:18 I don't know. It's real serious. you can hear it you can tell like there's like some uh orchestral swell going on inside his head i mean that part it's like as much as like i ricky gervais is just taking such a turn for me like in isolation that david brent thing is just so funny to me especially dude you'll you'll no longer mind i've opened your eyes now you're now colorblind racial thank you david uh anyway uh here we are what year is it is that shit like fucking 900 years old now i think it's like it was from the 90s wasn't it no no i think it's early 2000s like i think 2000 maybe when it began 2001 it started oh okay july 9th 2001 was the
Starting point is 00:21:15 first season wow damn 19 fuck 19 yo we're old cut the tape daniel gotta go alright that is gonna do it for today we're back tomorrow morning with a whole ass episode of the show until then be kind to each other be kind to yourselves wear a fucking mask y'all wash your hands stay inside if your government
Starting point is 00:21:42 tells you to or if not just stay the fuck inside. Don't do nothing about white supremacy. And we'll talk to you all tomorrow. Bye. Bye. Kay hasn't heard from her sister in seven years. I have a proposal for you.
