Hello, the internet, and welcome to this episode of Trendvert Colorado. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:05 That is courtesy of Miles Gray. Yeah. Who is flying out of Trendvert Colorado. Just did my tour of Denver. Great food from what I ate. You find some soggy fries? Fries aren't that soggy. Not gonna lie.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Found some pretty normal fries. But look, that's part of the journey. The altitude crisps them up. Yeah, it must be. It must be. It must be. All right. I'm Jack.
Starting point is 00:02:33 That is Miles. These are some things that are trending. Yes, yes. St. Paul is trending. So this guy in St. Paul he basically got like this this guy Alex Mingus he got like a commendation from the police because he like saved
Starting point is 00:02:52 a man from like bleeding to death from a gunshot wound like he said he was driving to work and he heard some gunshots and then he saw like he followed this van that took off and when he's like the van stopped he saw this guy and he was like bleeding so he put pressure on and stopped the bleeding and because of that like they say he basically saved this guy's life so then they're giving this dude the award he shows up and he pulls off his
Starting point is 00:03:15 sweatshirt and it basically he's got a shirt on that says smash white supremacy and then when he's giving his speech he's basically like yeah i don't really rock with the police and then he goes giving him the award yes giving him the award. Yes. Giving him this award for bravery. And he says, quote, that day, nine of your squad cars raced past us as I was flagging them down. That was a potential of 18 people. 18 could have stopped to help preserve life.
Starting point is 00:03:38 But 18 people chose to go to a potential threat. And it just goes on. But anyway, yeah, very interesting bonus. He said, quote, I just want folks to know that they don't keep us safe. We keep us safe. Riots work. Wow.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Yeah. He flipped it on him. Wow. For sure. But that is, I mean, yet another example of the police being bad at their job. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:01 Racing past. Right by him. While somebody is bleeding to death to death hey non-police officer thanks for helping with that sorry i just i don't want to get my uniform you know bloody or wet yeah well shout out to that man uh bts is trending yeah they now have to enlist for the mandatory military service and so we'll be on a hiatus until like a very specific date right yeah 2025 until all of them have completed their service they said since the creation of bts over 10 years ago the band has risen to international success
Starting point is 00:04:37 broken records and catapulted k-pop into the global stratosphere big hit music has focused to the milestone moment when it would be possible to respect the needs of the country and for these healthy young men to serve with their countrymen and that's now so the oldest one i think jinn is going to be first he got a solo album he's got a workout though you know what i mean so right you got to do like 18 months by age 28 but i know like you can get like special like delays and stuff like if you're obviously popping like you're in bts or you know like you're like a like a soccer player or whatever so that's them right they're 20 oh no 29 down through 24 so 24 is the youngest yeah but i'm sure they're look they're probably like look we got we can't stop this machine so get your fucking service done and we can turn the fucking switch back on like that's interesting that they i guess that that whole like k-pop machine seems to have
Starting point is 00:05:33 somewhat very like conservative values like they're not allowed to have significant others really they're supposed to be like remain chased and like is that for chased or just to be like yo these people fantasize about you and you can't be fucking it up i actually i'm sure it's like that but also people still fantasize about you know hollywood movie stars who or like you know american pop stars that have relationships so the, the idea that like they have to be kept pure in order for people to fantasize about them is sort of, sort of interesting. And then kind of folding into that military service is,
Starting point is 00:06:16 yeah, I guess, I guess shouldn't be surprising. Yeah. I mean, I don't know. Yeah. I'm not sure what,
Starting point is 00:06:23 how big hit music or whatever that like that like talent machine that cranks them out right that works but i can i mean i guess it i i can't imagine they're like yo we're off this militarism shit fuck this mandatory service like i mean you know it's like yeah pop music tends to be not that i mean that's how that's what they did with uh elvis when he was kind of too wild uh according to the movie elvis at least uh when he that's accurate right yeah yeah i think 100 documentary footage when he was seen as like being too a little too wild for mainstream america and pop music they put him in the military and cleaned cleaned up his image um all right steve bannon trending because prosecutors have asked a judge to imprison steve bannon for six months for
Starting point is 00:07:13 defying the congressional investigation into the insurrection um kind of give some teeth to their request to have people testify yeah i mean and cooperate i mean because he's just been his whole thing's like fuck you also we'll see what's up and they're basically now there uh they say as i said he had a quote bad faith strategy of defiance and contempt well i mean that's why it's funny like all the things like they are suggesting or like they are asking for six months we'll see uh what the judge decides but yeah apparently he also told the department of justice to suck on it the judge no no steve bannon okay steve bannon
Starting point is 00:07:55 yeah i'm gonna recognize your motion and tell you to suck on why. Why don't you go do one, bruh? Suck on it is such a funny old guy attempt at slang. I think I'm going to start using that. He's a rebel, man. What are you going to say? Hey, why don't you suck on it there, pal? Will there be consequences? Will there be consequences? Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Let's take a quick break, and we'll be right back. break and we'll be right back. I'm Jess Casavetto, executive producer of the hit Netflix documentary series, Dancing for the Devil, the 7M TikTok cult. And I'm Clea Gray, former member of 7M Films and Shekinah Church. And we're the host of the new podcast, Forgive Me For I Have Followed. Together, we'll be diving even deeper into the unbelievable stories behind 7M Films and LA-based Shekinah Church, an alleged cult that has impacted members for over two decades. Jessica and I will delve into the hidden truths between high-control groups and interview dancers, church members, and others whose lives and careers have been impacted, just like mine. Through powerful, in-depth interviews with former members and new, chilling firsthand accounts, the series will illuminate untold and extremely necessary perspectives. Forgive Me For I Have Followed will be more than an exploration.
Starting point is 00:09:14 It's a vital revelation aimed at ensuring these types of abuses never happen again. Listen to Forgive Me For I Have Followed on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This summer, the nation watched as the Republican nominee for president was the target of two assassination attempts, separated by two months. These events were mirrored nearly 50 years ago when President Gerald Ford faced two attempts on his life in less than three weeks. when President Gerald Ford faced two attempts on his life in less than three weeks. President Gerald R. Ford came stunningly close to being the victim of an assassin today. And these are the only two times we know of that a woman has tried to assassinate a U.S. president.
Starting point is 00:09:59 One was the protege of infamous cult leader Charles Manson. I always felt like Lynette was kind of his right-hand woman. The other, a middle-aged housewife working undercover for the FBI in a violent revolutionary underground. Identified by police as Sarah Jean Moore. The story of one strange and violent summer. This is Rip Current, available now with new episodes every Thursday. Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Substance use disorder and addiction is so isolating. And so
Starting point is 00:10:32 as a black woman in recovery, hope must be loud. It grows louder when you ask for help and you're vulnerable. It is the thread that lets you know that no matter what happens, you will be okay. When we learn the power of hope, recovery is possible.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Find out how at startwithhope.com. Brought to you by the National Council for Mental Well-Being, Shatterproof, and the Ad Council. Daphne Caruana Galizia was a Maltese investigative journalist who on October 16th, 2017, was murdered. There are crooks everywhere you look now. The situation is desperate. My name is Manuel Delia. I am one of the hosts of Crooks Everywhere, a podcast that unhurts the plot to murder a one-woman Wikileaks. Daphne exposed the culture of crime and corruption that were turning her beloved country
Starting point is 00:11:26 into a mafia state. And she paid the ultimate price. Listen to Crooks Everywhere starting September 25th on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. and we're back and kanye is trending parlor is trending yeah uh could it be for the same reason yeah that he is apparently the headlines say that he is agreed to buy parlor
Starting point is 00:12:06 uh which i don't know who's handling his whatever i don't even i don't have much else to say i don't know that's about the energy i have for a complete thought on like any question i have i would i would posit to someone who wasn't a bad faith actor or struggling. I don't know. Like nothing, nothing can follow any kind of logic path that I can understand. Uh, but I don't know if like,
Starting point is 00:12:33 like Candace Owens is basically helping him. Like they're like just grifting the fuck out of him now. They're like, Hey man, I think we can get this guy like in the movement and also maybe by parlor. Cause it's a friggin like a absolute negative as a business right um but yeah but which is funny because oh that's right it was founded in 2018 by george farmer british entrepreneur otherwise known as candace owens's husband
Starting point is 00:13:00 oh oh interesting so you know because they're trying to unload that shit they are fucking yeah i don't this is they are they are playing his ass probably so right yikes yeah we'll see let's see what happens i mean that's the the terms are that he's decided to buy it but yeah more more chaos out of that part of yeah the twitter well speaking of playing his ass olivia wild is trending for uh i don't know uh olivia wild is trending because there is a story come out this is a little light check in with our old feature Bloidwatch this is you know we used to actually look at the
Starting point is 00:13:50 paper tabloids which were all like Michael Landon's ghost having an affair with Angela Lansbury you know like kind of aimed at the elderly but you know the tabloiding these days tends to happen online.
Starting point is 00:14:06 And Vulture came through with a report. I guess the report was from the Daily Mail, always the most trustworthy of news source. But the report is that Jason Sudeikis found out Olivia Wilde was having an affair with Harry Styles. She was like, hey, I'm going over to see one Harry Styles. So, excuse me, you got the kids,
Starting point is 00:14:36 right? And Jason Sudeikis lay on the road in front of her car to try to stop her from going forward. Wow. At which point she presumably was like i don't know if you heard the name i said harry one harrison styles yeah my good sir harold um i don't yeah i it's so hard to read anything from the Daily Mail and take it seriously, but sure. He, they were having salad.
Starting point is 00:15:10 Wait, what's the salad part? They said that they were left like the home with a salad for her new beau and with what Sudeikis utterly called her quote, special dressing. And that's, I'm like, what's up with this fucking, what the fuck? Okay. Is there really? I mean, that's what I'm just like what's up with this fucking, what the fuck? Okay. Is there really, I mean, that's what I'm just like, what, what are they fighting about? What, it's just an interesting thing was like, is it really because she went to go take a salad or he suspected that his wife was going off having an affair? What do we know?
Starting point is 00:15:39 I don't know. That's, it's very, it's very daily. Sudeikis allegedly called her special dressing what the fuck i don't know who looks good or bad in any of this no this all just looks people just looks like what a what a marriage looks like falling apart very well because you get you get harry you get harry styles adultery and ted lasso right so i'm sure the the like the media is like oh man we can just keep just keep wringing this little washcloth dry till nothing comes out yeah vulture had the real takeaway here what is wild special salad recipe that he was willing to die to keep away from
Starting point is 00:16:19 right harry styles because it does sound like he's like that is the source of like once he's had the salad dressing it's over for us so producer brian suspects it's miracle whip oh god the most boring thing for everyone involved oh my special dressing it's just miracle whip with water right hey you know like salad cream we're we we don't we don't have a lot going on in the culinary world sometimes yeah that's true what is this fantastic salad dress olivia you must tell me you must tell me your secret she turns to camera it's miracle whip water this guy's a fucking idiot your husband yeah yeah he's a dumb shit hey you like your salad babe oh it's great i love your special dressing see fucking idiot i'm cheating on him with harry styles he has no fucking clue loser what do you say babe nothing babe eat up your salad uh and finally harrison ford
Starting point is 00:17:27 another harrison it's like his career has taken a path that's like a weird fever dream he had when he first because like he was famously the grumpiest about being in the movie star wars he was like george you can type this shit but like people can't say it out loud because it sounds fucking stupid. Right. And you know, it has always been like, yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Like sure. Star Wars, cool. Han Solo, whatever nerd. And now he, I believe in his late one hundreds. I don't know how old he is,
Starting point is 00:18:01 but he's a elderly gentleman is set to star as General Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross for Captain America New World Order, automatically named upcoming Captain America movie. So, I don't know, man. I just feel like the gods are fucking with Harrison Ford at this point. Do you think he understands that he's getting into the MCU? I just feel like the gods are fucking with Harrison Ford at this point. Do you think he understands that he's getting into the MCU? What that means?
Starting point is 00:18:38 And if he hated Star Wars people coming up to him, what this is going to do for his peace? Because he will not have any. Yeah. No, it's over. I remember the one harrison ford when i worked at the laser tag place and i've told this story before where i had icing from a cake all over the front of my pants and i was like trying to clean my pants in a sink like in the back like kitchen of this laser tag place and he opened like he forced open the back door because he thought that was the front entrance to the laser tag place and my pants are like around my knees drenched
Starting point is 00:19:05 and i'm just scrubbing the crotch like with a rag and he's like he first he just took he like tilted his frames down to look at me without his sunglasses and he was like had a what the fuck face and he goes you know how to get to that laser zone place and i was like the entrance is around the front and him and calista flockhart just sauntered off and it was he i felt it felt like he looked at me like he knew i wanted to be like oh my god harrison ford and he was just like right where's the laser zone place right crotch not leave me alone a cake a cake crotch where's that's not been an aka yet um well it might be after now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:45 All right. Well, those are some of the things that are trending on this Monday afternoon. We are back tomorrow with the whole last episode of the show. Until then, be kind to each other. Be kind to yourself. Get the vaccine. Don't do nothing about white supremacy. And we will talk to you all tomorrow.
