Starting point is 00:00:05 Were there meals that you cooked consistently in college? Because I would always make a tuna helper. Wait, what would you make? Tuna helper. Wait, what was that? Would you just? Like hamburger helper, but just with tuna. There's just like noodles and seasoning and you just add tuna cans.
Starting point is 00:00:20 And you got a meal. That's how I used to be like, man, I'm fucking, I'm healthy. I'm eating tuna, not fucking beef. That's eating like so funny. 45% of my daily sodium in like three bites. This is disgusting, but I would find. ways to make like pizza anything. So it would be like pizza nachos,
Starting point is 00:00:39 but then it would be leveled up where I would like marina marinaire and mozzarella on a yeah, yeah, I mean like from a jar from a bag. But I would replace tortilla chips where I kept gaining weight by doing this where I would level up the tortilla chips.
Starting point is 00:00:55 They were too healthy. I'd turn them into like I would get kettle chips, put those down and then obviously sauce and cheese. And then I would start putting the kettle chips being like the very greasy potato chips. Deep fried. Yeah, very greasy, very
Starting point is 00:01:08 firm. And then I would put chicken nuggets on top of it. Kettles, yeah, yeah, kettle chips have, like, they can hold their shape a little bit. They're a little bit more durable. Yeah. And boy, did they need to be. Yeah, they were very durable. So, wait, you had kettle chips,
Starting point is 00:01:24 pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and chicken nuggets? Yeah, added chicken nuggets and then bacon got involved as well. And then I would keep leveling up my cheeses, where I would get, like, a fresh mozzarella, like, mozzarella where I would get, like, those ball, like, the ball. You got a barata? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:42 What's that? Like a barata? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Or what is it, Strachitella? What is the stuff in the middle? No, no, no, no, no. Strachatella is not as gooey as burrata. Yeah, yeah, it was beautiful.
Starting point is 00:01:53 It was a beautiful dish. Is this with weed or without weed? You want, it gets, it's so, no weed. No weed alcohol, for sure. But, like, that's not an excuse. It's a factor, not an excuse, as my old baseball coach used to say. And then, looking at you, you kind of get your slow out to first base, Blake. It's like, these nachos?
Starting point is 00:02:14 It's a, it's a factor. It's a factor. And then your good friend, the overweight guy, Sal, went and opened a restaurant based on your brilliant idea. Did you ever eat there? Have you ever gotten anything? It was near the old studios, right? I have fairly disappointing. I went once and it was enough to be like, yeah, I'm good.
Starting point is 00:02:36 It's as appetizing as it reads when it's like, oh, you want an Albany trash plate? Hero? And it's just like too many things on it. Like, I'm like, I can't even. You know, I usually, like, when you look at a menu item, like, oh, I can picture what that tastes like. Yeah. After you get to, like, the fifth deep fried ingredient in a sandwich, you're like,
Starting point is 00:02:54 it blends together. I would pick that. I was a PA for, uh, for 45 years. And I, when I had a PA job for productions, I would pick up lunch. And we, for a period, would get fat sals. And then it got banned because the days would go too long shooting because everyone was so lethargic. Yeah, people would have to take a three hour nap after.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Yeah, like literally it was costing that lunch order, whatever it was, like ended up being like $400 for whatever, the small crew, costs the production hundreds of thousands of dollars in like union overtime. Because everybody just could not get their shit together. What's wrong with the film industry? Right. Yeah, that's start. That was the butterfly effect that got us to where we are today. That sounds if that didn't happen. Dude, the fat sal, for example, look at the menu, thinly-sized ribby steak, mozzarella sticks, onion.
Starting point is 00:03:45 rings, fries, brown gravy, and mayo. You can't distinguish between those tastes to your point, right? After a certain point. I actually paid for an extra special, the fat sal experience where they let you eat that out of a trash can. Out of a trash can and it's also disassembled. The ingredients are just loose in a garbage can. You're like, yeah, there's a great animal style where you have to fight an animal.
Starting point is 00:04:15 They call you a pig while you're eating. Oh, shit. They call you. This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed human. Behind every night spent making the kids' lunches, there's a lot of suspense. Will they finally eat the veggies? Will the pastos survive the first bite?
Starting point is 00:04:43 Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full, or come home at all? And will you finish episode eight before? you're done slicing the cucumbers? Starting point is 00:08:29 Hello, the internet, and welcome to season 457 episode three of Dirtyley's Night, guys! This is a production of IHeartRadio. It's a podcast. Where we take a deep dive into America's share consciousness through the day's news. I guess it's not enough to just be a podcast. It's got to be one where we take a deep dive into America's share consciousness. We also have a new non-news history version of. of the daily Zichai's dropping on Monday mornings called the iconograph,
Starting point is 00:08:59 where you do a deep dive into the Zykeyes through the lens of a different icon. And on Monday, we dropped Oprah. Oh, yeah. We talked when we recorded about how she had kind of taken a step back and hadn't done much. And then she immediately took a step forward, like a concerted effort the following Wednesday, went on like every podcast and every, like, New Age bullshit podcast and also announced an upcoming sphere show. Sphere show.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Yeah. Oprah live blowing your minds with aha moments. Anyways, it's a fun episode. I learned a lot. Those are the episodes on Monday with icon in the title. But right here, right now, right now, right now, right here, right now. Was that a jock jam? I mean, it's fat boy slim.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026. Uh, yeah. Say fucking goodbye to summer assholes because it's fall equinox the first day of autumn. It's also, yeah, I know I was going to say my favorite insurance scam, fall equinox, fall equinox. International Day of sign languages, national apple cider vinegar day, a restless leg awareness day. And yes, so many other things. If you like Zatah, it's Zatthar Day.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Zatar. Okay. Also, national dogs in politics. Day, which is so stupid. It's like how I'm always talking about how JD Bance got that dog in him. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yep, yep, yep, yep.
Starting point is 00:10:30 I get that. I get that. My name is Jack O'Brien, a.k. Potatoes O'Brien, and I'm thrilled to be joined, as always, by my co-host, Mr. Miles Gray. Hey, it's Miles Gray. Oh, man, I wish I had a real fun, AKA. But I'm just, I just want to get out of the way because we have a fantastic guest today, whose love of thighs
Starting point is 00:10:50 inspired my saltiness about lack of thigh, A.K.A.s. So that this man with thighs may fly, if that makes sense. Okay. But I am the Lord of Lankership. Trying to do the thigh math.
Starting point is 00:11:04 The thymatic. Thank you so much. First of all, it is the Lord of Lancashem, the Shogun with Nogun, Miles Gray. But I really want to get out the way for our next guest because...
Starting point is 00:11:14 Yeah, no pressure. No pressure. To be joined in our third seat by a brilliant comedian, writer, actor, special Daddy Long Legs is a must watch. He's one of your favorite guests saying, yet on the other hand, he's the coiner of the disgusting phrase plumbers to describe his thighs. Please welcome the brilliant, the hilarious, the riding a recumbent bicycle and short shorts. It's Blake Wexler! Blake Waxler!
Starting point is 00:11:38 Blake! Hey, this is Blake Wexler, aka Miles Thighs from the Daily Zy guys, like AKA's for Jacker or Blake, but we look miles behind. Now, AKA writers got his thighs on our mind singing, This will be the day of Miles' thighs. This will be the day of Miles's thighs. That was from Emery's E.M.R.S. On the Discord. Now, I do want to be...
Starting point is 00:12:03 I love Emery's. They got great chicken fingers. Yeah. Fantastic. Yeah, and I heard they actually... Doesn't sound like a place in the Midwest. I do want to be sincere. We're at Miles.
Starting point is 00:12:13 I think sometimes we do... And if you guys need to edit this out, of course, go for it. But like, I think sometimes we get so wrapped up in our own world and brand, like, branding and our leg journey that we forget that there's other people who, as much as I care about you and I do, like, I, I completely miss that you were upset about your legs not being mentioned. And I'm, I'm really, really, really sorry. And I think this is something we can work on. I didn't say it. I didn't know. I didn't want an apology. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:12:44 I just had to say how I felt, you know, a lot of people talking about my legs in the scrubs. school and you know I thought this would be the one place it would be like an asset but it's talking about your legs in school oh yeah like for being so thick all like as part of the curriculum yeah yeah like because even the football players like bro how the fuck are you not playing football I mean that's a compliment no I know yeah yeah yeah no it's it runs in my family runs a shut on my grandma I want to see that ass bent over in front of me on the O line really easy coach McNabab That being said, I think we can all make a point to just acknowledge what's right in front of us.
Starting point is 00:13:23 Yeah, Miles has amazing legs. No, it's funny. They're never far from my mind. What was funny was there were episodes from the Bahamas episodes where we're sitting on a couch and I'm just wearing shorts. And the editor of the video is like, hey, like, I know you don't care, but like, you're good with like your legs being in the shot. I was like, yeah. Sadly, sadly, I am. Sadly, can you?
Starting point is 00:13:43 One note. You know what? One note. Get rid of Jack and Anna's face. and mine for that matter, just tight on my thighs the whole time, if you don't mind. Yeah. Yeah. I think I did during the pandemic, I did a selfie.
Starting point is 00:13:58 By the way, like going through back through pictures, there are so many selfies from the pandemic when we had to submit a selfie every day. Oh my God. Just like delete, delete, delete, delete. But I think I did one showing off my thighs. And that's where mine came from. I think that's where the AKAs started because people did not want. Like that.
Starting point is 00:14:19 They found it memorable in that way. But yeah, I should say, talking to a true thigh king. The Minnesota Thigh Kings. This guy is the starting center. Oh, I like that. God, I like that. Wow. Look at that.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Oof. Anyways. Blake, it's wonderful to have you here. Yes, thank you. I don't want you to get overshadowed yet again by Miles's legs. I'll bring him into frame. We're going to need a water lens. We're going to need much, much, much, much, much.
Starting point is 00:14:48 wider lens. This is not lens distortion you're seeing. Those are my hamstrings. It wasn't made. So Miles just brought his legs up into frame. And Blake and my cameras both did the push zoom thing from Jaws when Chief Brody sees the kid get eaten. Our camera zoomed in on us. Anyways, two Jaws references in one in five seconds.
Starting point is 00:15:14 You know you're in the right place. Blake, we're going to get to know you a little bit better. moment. First, we're going to tell the listeners a couple of things. We're talking about, we're going to talk a little bit about Trump TV and where all this might be headed because it's evident that he wants a TV channel. This was the story I remember from the very early days when he got elected. People were like, it's crazy. He didn't even want to get elected in 2016. He was just doing it as a promotion for Trump TV, this thing that he was like trying to launch. And so now that they've kicked the media out.
Starting point is 00:15:48 like, you know, soft launching this version of state TV. We're going to take a look back at what he had in mind for Trump TV and where we might be headed here. A lot of intent with Trump television for years. There's a lot of evidence. I will say that it involves a book written at least with him, possibly by him, where somebody says the phrase, I'm in boob heaven, I think. This is the exact quote. So we'll talk about that. about freedom fest
Starting point is 00:16:19 which was there's a guy in Kentucky he ran for office unsuccessfully as a Republican ran for governor failed and he was putting on a Patriots Day
Starting point is 00:16:31 Freedom Fest and just had to announce that it's not going to happen and the way he did it was so Tim Robinson coded just like
Starting point is 00:16:40 it didn't work like just explaining your scheme and how it failed and is failing out loud and then we'll talk about how Waymo
Starting point is 00:16:48 are apparently allowed to just drive through a farmer's market, and there's actually nothing the law can do about that. All of that, plenty more. But first, Blake, we do like to ask our guests, what is something from your search history that's revealing about who you are? I was trying to figure out, so I've become so obsessed with Ireland to the point where I'm just, I'm just buying things overseas, and it's still not clear to me. It's not clear to anyone and how much it costs to get something into the country. So I've been trying to calculate what, so like basically if you buy something overseas,
Starting point is 00:17:23 you know, say a hoodie from a bar that you enjoyed going to, hypothetically, well, on a vacation a year and a half ago. Yeah, purely hypothetical. They, you pay that initial fee to the vendor and then you get an email saying, hey, by the way, you owe an additional X amount of money. So it's easier to calculate with certain countries. But I remember order. And it also changed, like, he changes his mind all the time about what the tariffs are.
Starting point is 00:17:51 So, like, you could buy something one day and it's X amount of money. You could buy it the next day and it's like way more money. I know a bunch of people who's off who've also bought stuff where they cannot get their stuff. Their stuff is like held hostage when it enters the country where you have to pay all these fees that you are not aware of. So that's basically something. Yeah, I guess that tells you a little about me, is that I'm obsessed with Ireland and I'm not good at executing a final vision. I like that you're like looking at the tariffs like a day trader and you're like, now, now, now. Go, go, go, go, go.
Starting point is 00:18:26 It's low, it's low, slow, slow, slow, slow, yeah, go, go, go, go. What's the name of the bar? It's called J.M. Reedy's is a great bar. Jam Reedy's. In Killarney. I went down to J.M. Reedy's, did you? In Kilarney. Great bar.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Great bar. Oh. Great bar. I love that. It had such an impression on you. Like, you're 18 months ago. Hold the fuck up, man. Why don't I have a fucking...
Starting point is 00:18:51 Where's my J.M. Blarnies t-shirt? Wait, what the fuck? I'd never bought one. It's not called J.M. Blarnies? Shit, I completely misremembered this then. Was I even there? If only I'd just gotten it there, I would have saved $300. That I'm going to pay.
Starting point is 00:19:09 But I could have... have saved it. Yeah, and it was, yeah, I remember like getting so, I'm so weird about Ireland now where like there was this guy playing just covers. And he was just playing cover. And I rewatched those videos all the time and like get emotion. And I started following him on Instagram and like, he could not want less to do with me. Or like, I'll send him a DM. And he's not a famous person. It's like following like an open micer, you know. And I'll be like, hey man, I just want to let you know, like your music. It means a lot to me. He's like, stop. get away, like just stop.
Starting point is 00:19:42 Leave me alone. I don't want this. I love that me asking about this. Fun follow block. Yeah, me asking about this hoodie has just revealed some like love unrequited situation. Oh, God. Yeah. Add it to the list.
Starting point is 00:19:55 I'm unrequited all the damn time. Hey, do you sell the hoodies? Can I buy it through you? I'd rather buy it through you if I could since I trust you. Could you make me one or could like just any piece of clothing that you've worn before? Could you like send it over my way? Could you put it on before you send it after you? I don't like spray your scent.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Maybe like wear the shirt. Maybe like where the hoodie run like five kilometer. I don't know. Are you guys on the metrics? Run for 40 minutes. Into the hoodie before you ship it to me. That's possible. Are you Irish, Blake?
Starting point is 00:20:20 You guys? Half. Yeah. Half. Yeah. Did you tell everybody when you're over there that you're half Irish? I know that they love to hear that from Americans. Dude, no, I'm Irish.
Starting point is 00:20:32 The same way Italians like to hear that from Italian Americans. They go, do shut the fuck up. Blake, what's something you think? is underrated. Underrated aluminum trash cans like for the outside where we... Oscar the Grouch's house.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Oscar the Grouch style. And they're very durable and rats can't get in them. And one thing, so we had issues with plastic trash cans where rats were chewing through them. And even better is at night when the sanitation
Starting point is 00:21:05 people come to pick up the trash. They're so fucking loud. It's so fun. Because they toss them in the air. So it's like, we know when they get to our house because you see like, don't, jump, gong, gong. It's so loud. And it makes me laugh like every single
Starting point is 00:21:21 time. Donch, don't. Yeah. It's all, yeah, they're so loud that it almost seems like, no matter what, that person has to be doing that intentionally to try and like wake everybody up. Right. There's no way,
Starting point is 00:21:34 even if they were being like, like, gentle, like there's no not making a loud noise with those. So you're right. And they're not being gentle with them also. So you're right. It does. It is deafening. No trash person has ever been gentle with a trash can at all. Why should you? They really like
Starting point is 00:21:51 They treat trash cans the way rock stars treat hotel rooms and I appreciate it. You know? They're just like, and fuck you. Once it's emptied, once they've done their job, they trashed that shit. Not my problem. Style points, you know.
Starting point is 00:22:06 I miss it. Good luck finding it. I miss it. I miss a garbage, man, because like in LA, we just got the fucking trucks. I'm not a garbage, man. I'm a garbage, man. Now, let me handle my garbage. Damn. It is, yeah, I don't think there are that many places that still rock with the aluminum trash cans. That is impressive.
Starting point is 00:22:28 New York, you know? Also, what are these fucking rats on? They're biting through the fucking Liz like that? It's, it's crazy. These rats, I don't have. have like I usually I would try to come up with something funny here. I don't, I know I don't have the words to describe how impressive these rats are. You're terrified.
Starting point is 00:22:45 I'm worried they'll hear. They're gone for now. I don't want to, yeah, I don't want to instigate. I don't want to circle back. Don't say it. Don't want to go back into that hell. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:53 Yeah. I feel like you're being watched by rats just off camera right now. That was that. You're like, I'm actually not allowed to talk about them. Yeah. You're not going to like what's on top of Blake's head then. Every team. EAD-EZ episode is just his rat has been Blake being ratatooied.
Starting point is 00:23:13 Talk about your thighs. Yeah. No, they will inherit the, like, when you read people describing, describing rat, talk about your thighs, got me. Describing rats, it's like, oh, they are so much more set for survival than we are. Like, they're doing great. They can chew through anything. They can fit through a hole the size of a dime.
Starting point is 00:23:37 they're unbelievable. Yeah. And they're not all uptight about living in holes filled with dirt and shit. They like it. What's the rat saying? Is Jack's positive words on them going to save you in the end or no? It's all done. He's saying shut potatoes up.
Starting point is 00:24:00 Shut them up. This isn't going to help you. This isn't going to help you. Let him talk. What's something you think is overrated? overrated Los Angeles during the second half of September and through the first half of October where it I don't I would imagine it hasn't gotten cooler there where it is I remember I used to always forget I'm like oh the fall's coming and I would see my friends on the East Coast like put on their little sweaters and you know like out in the leaves and I would think that would be coming to LA and it would always get so fucking hot it was like the hottest time of the year during for some reason that that window. Or maybe even not the whole one, but you would get hit by like four days of like that are just intense heat. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:43 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That ain't changing.
Starting point is 00:24:47 That ain't changing. No, it's not getting better. But it's, it is only getting, it's only 80 today. So. Oh. Yeah. And they have these little pockets of days that are temperate and then or or even cool. But then they, you'll have this heat wave and it like wakes the bugs back up or something.
Starting point is 00:25:05 Like, because then like the bugs are like. like, hey, motherfucker, you thought we were dead? Yeah. And there, yeah. We didn't even take our shoes off yet. We just got in the door. Like, some of you guys have shoes? Oh, yeah, so many shoes.
Starting point is 00:25:20 Centipede. It's a lot of evolving. It's a blast heat weight. A lot of people talk about the mosquitoes being in L.A. and that not being part of the bargain that we all signed up for. But there's, like, I saw a street light the other day that was, had like 5,000 gnats around it. Like, you see in. like the south sometimes.
Starting point is 00:25:39 Sure, sure, sure. Yeah. Walking through that is emotionally devastating. It's not great. And then you hit another one when you finally recover. It's like those clouds are crazy. Unfortunately, I feel like with the dwindling biomass on the planet, like I'll be like, yeah, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Good, good. Go up my nostril, man. Get my teeth while this is still a thing. That's what we'll be eating for protein in the future. Yeah, that roach milk. Yeah. You're like just right right as you're like, okay, I think We passed them like a new wave hits and goes into your mouth because you're talking about how you think we passed.

Have you guys heard of faux journaling? Yeah. It's reading.
Starting point is 00:29:40 It's called reading. So we don't like to use that word anymore. Okay. A panel of New Yorker cartoonists. Have you guys done Terry Gross's Peloton class? No! I've been dying too. I'm so sorry.
Starting point is 00:29:52 I'm seeing a reading of Sadako in the Thousand Paper Cranes by Audrey McDonald's at the Wonderland Bookstore on 14th. That's crazy. I went to the Wonderland Bookstore yesterday, and I heard Nora Jones do a reading of Zero Dark 30. No way. You have to come to the last bookstore, though.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Kim Cottrell is reading the guitar tabs of yesterday. A panel of Eurovision participants. And we do a little Halloween sometimes. Does the Pope dress up? He winks on Halloween. It's right up next to the microphone. I hear you can almost hear the eyelashes hit each other.

Self-Care September is here, which means it's time to rethink what self-care actually means. Yes, self-care can be a long walk. It can be in everything shower.
Starting point is 00:30:46 It can be putting your phone on, do not disturb. But sometimes it's actually about sitting with the uncomfortable stuff. And understanding your patterns, your boundaries, finally figuring out while you keep doing things that you swore you would never do again. I'm Gemma Spegg, the host of the Psychology of Your 20s podcast. And each week we unpack the psychology behind the experiences that shape your 20s, from relationships and friendships to, money, anxiety, confidence, attachment, just becoming more comfortable with who you are.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Unlike the quarter life crisis, which is depicted as the collapse, the quarter life reinvention is the expansion and growth of something. When we develop the ability to be happy by ourselves, nobody else can take that from you. So this self-care September, don't just take care of yourself, get to know yourself as well. We're back. And so, Blake, how familiar are you with Trump TV?
Starting point is 00:33:22 I do remember what you spoke about in the intro that that was what everyone speculated why he was running is because he wanted to start his own shitty television network. And it seems weird that he wasn't able to start it yet. And now I think he's
Starting point is 00:33:37 just so flagrant really disregarding any, you know, like First Amendment laws whatsoever, you know, freedom of the press that he's just going to create his own state-run company. I know they banned CNN and Politico. Because I was wondering, like, how'd they get this shit? Like, they were quick with this one. Like, after the man, it don't matter because there's Trump TV.
Starting point is 00:33:56 And then, yeah, now that I think of it, I'm like, oh, this is the new jingle the keys at the senile old man who's president to try and prevent something even worse from happening. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Trump TV. Yeah, oh, fuck. I wonder if they have a list of things that he, yammers on about. And like we're at that point in the list. Like we crossed off the, like the arc of Arc day Trump, the ballroom, fucking whatever it is. And now he's like, you know, next we got Trump TV. Should we just start? Should I just start putting, yeah, start putting together a sizzle real for that,
Starting point is 00:34:27 I guess. Do we need an actual channel? No, just do a fucking YouTube. It'll be a YouTube live stream. We'll call it TV. You can't do that difference. Wait, how many people would it take to put this to get? I feel like not that many, right? Yeah, like a person is. So they've got one person on Trump. They're just putting old clips together. So if you have access to those video files. And then they're getting the live feed occasionally. There ain't no master control room where the guys are all right.
Starting point is 00:34:54 All right. Bring up Dave. Camera two. Yep. Push. Okay. Ready three. And switch to three good.
Starting point is 00:35:00 Now tight on Trump. Like, no. It's some guy who's being like, I guess I'll load up this speech from the rally in Des Moines or whatever from from 2025. Yeah. That's what it is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:10 It's sparked. comparisons to North Korean state media, but that's drastically overstating how professionally put together it is. Don't insult North Korean state media. They got the anchor up there doing her thing. That shit is legit. This is foolish. This is childish foolishness. It peaked at 8,000 viewers, which seems low compared to other TV stations. They also announced it with Trump TV written over Seinfeld and Simpsons clips, which. which I am still trying to figure out how he thinks that's going to work.
Starting point is 00:35:46 Or like it's just, again, like you said, it's just them putting this together for him, right? To be like, yeah. Well, you know what you watch on TV, what you've seen on TV. Here is that with Trump TV written over it. Let's remember, too, it's called Trump TV, Coleman, the essentials station. Like, this is fucking Apple music where it's like, yeah, this is Jay Dilla, the essentials. Like, what the fuck? Right now, I'm just looking at what's playing.
Starting point is 00:36:13 I'm just going to unmute whatever I'm seeing. This is what's currently playing on Trump TV. We're getting a live feed. They heard his story. They knew it. Okay. So that's what's playing right now. It is actually mostly women crying.
Starting point is 00:36:25 Yeah. Yeah, is what his programming is. Just kind of what he's into. Yeah. And this one is like a total propaganda like peace on like this young black man that got killed because DC is such a hellhole. And that's what's playing right now. Yeah, cut to a slow motion shot of Donald Trump walking and managing not to trip.
Starting point is 00:36:46 They have to keep slowing it down more because they're running out of programming. So they're like to make it slower to take up. Can we make the slow-mo shots like even slower? They're like, they basically hate our freedoms. Perfect. So slow. I can get, I can make this three minute clip an hour. So this was at a time like Donald Trump kind of did build his brand on TV with the
Starting point is 00:37:10 apprentice, and apparently, like, off the back of the apprentice, he was constantly pitching TV shows. And they just, for whatever reason, kept getting rejected by networks. We'll get to the reason why. So after the apprentice, he pitched NBC a scripted drama called The Tower about a fictional version of Trump Tower and a Trump-like developers Freudian plan to construct the tallest building in the world. As we know, he's obsessed with being the tallest. He, on the day of 9-11, not the next day, the day of 9-11, he bragged about how he now had the tallest building in lower Manhattan. So that, he was like, here's something that'll resonate with everybody. Well, it's not all bad out there.
Starting point is 00:37:53 I now have the tallest building in lower Manhattan. What? Okay. Wait, sure. I was going to say Manhattan, but I realize, no, I have to add that caveat lower. I have to say lower. Yeah, breaks my heart. He also insisted that his character be named.
Starting point is 00:38:08 John Barron. Hey. Our guy, George Costanza's Art Vandalay, or Donald Trump's Art Vandalay, you know. Do you think he's, how much do you think he brings up John Barron now, like, to people around him? It's weird because he, like, kind of blew it by naming a son Barron. This is before he had Barron. And so he was like, John. It's so funny that, like, he was so into the name Barron, but, like, he didn't put any thought into the first name.
Starting point is 00:38:35 It's just like, I don't know, John or something. We don't want to slow down. But he's like a baron part, you know? That's what's cool. It's like the word baron. Does he need a first name? Can we just call him baron? All right, John.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Yeah. But he had a ton of different ideas. Prior to that, he pitched another TV show about, let's see here, Trump Tower. A world called. Trump Tower. Oh. Okay.
Starting point is 00:39:01 So this one was going to be a primetime soap opera, like Dynasty or Dallas. And he pitched it for. at least a decade to places like Showtime who actually commissioned a pilot and lifetime. And while some of the series never got off the ground, it was turned into a book in 2011 called Trump Tower by Jeffrey Robinson.
Starting point is 00:39:23 It's been called The Sexiest Novel of the Decade by the cover of the book. It's so Trumpy and it's fucking... The sexiest novel, The Decade. Trump Tower. People fucking in Windows. A novel. window is fucking in it.
Starting point is 00:39:40 Yeah, kind of. Yeah. I truly thought I was numb to insane Trump's shit at this point, but this is one of the craziest Trump stories that we somehow didn't, haven't covered yet on this on this show. Yeah, it's all he's also like dry snitching too. Like when you just kind of think of broadly what his real life is like and what is in this book, you're like, oh God. Wait, what?
Starting point is 00:40:05 So the original version of the book was registered. with Trump as the author, and the publisher was going to market it as his debut novel. So he's, like, heavily involved in the writing of this book. And Robinson was the ghost writer who ended up getting full credit in the end for some reason. But Trump provided a blurb on the back of the book that is the most Trump-coded shit ever. Yeah. With the spelling, too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:33 It just says, Jeffrey Robinson's novel Trump Tower bears it all. here's the drama of the proper capitalization, ultra-rich, the ultra-powerful, the you and the peer capitalized, and the ultra-beautiful, the you-and-the-be-ar-capitalized, who call the most glamorous address in the country their home. I can't wait to see it until it begin.
Starting point is 00:40:57 I, like, when you see them like, dude, he's so consistent with his writing style. The random capitalizations, like, the ultra-beautiful is like, sure, whatever. that is ultra rich, ultra powerful, ultra beautiful. And I like he's manifesting by already saying in the comment, I can't wait to see it on television. I can't believe this isn't a TV show already, right?
Starting point is 00:41:18 Right, guys? I can't believe Showtime wouldn't make this. How about this showtime? I'm so scared that why the fuck did he take his name off of that? Where Trump won't take his name off anything. Right. He just wants this. So what is going on with that book?
Starting point is 00:41:37 Is there something incriminating? You know what I mean? I'm not true. Interesting, Blake. Interesting question. Why do you take it? Yeah? So this is a 900 page shame, but this is a 900 page book that you can go and read right now if you'd like to.
Starting point is 00:41:51 And by the way, there are these things like from right book, 900 pages. Yeah. That's fucking sucks. I know. It's not amazing. He also had like a YouTube channel right before he ran for president. I remember Cody Johnston from Some More News when we were. were working together at Crack, like, did this video about just this YouTube channel, like,
Starting point is 00:42:11 as Trump is rising to power and, like, running and, like, all these polls are coming out and shocking people. There's this YouTube channel of him with all these, like, direct-to-camera videos with, like, 3,000 views of him just being like, Robert Pattinson needs to get out of there. She's a, she's cheating on him like a dog, and just nobody gave a shit. But yeah, I guess one of the things, things nobody gave a shit about is this 900-page book. It's vaguely in the genre of erotica for the first part. And it aims to chronicle the kinky sex lives of the people who live and work inside Trump Tower.
Starting point is 00:42:53 Oh. Then it becomes a murder mystery until the cops just give up on the case and nobody in the novel seems to care about the murdered woman. So it's just like fine with everybody. That's how a review of this book is written. Yeah, that's from a review. It's cleared when the cops just give up on the case. Nobody in the novel seemed to care about the murdered woman, so it's fine.
Starting point is 00:43:17 This is straight up Tim Robinson shit. Yes. Yeah, it's like the cops said it's fine. There's a hit and run, but like they don't even matter. So like don't even worry about it. No one can. But again, you're talking about like weird, salacious sex stuff, like disposable women. Like this fucking poseable women.
Starting point is 00:43:37 It's so Trumpy. Also like losing interest in a thing in like a story where people died is also kind of his thing where he's just like, you know, he'll start a war and then be like this is boring to me. Let's move it along here. Can we fast forward to the fight scene with Van Dam? No, sorry, sir. This is reality. This isn't blood sport. Well, then just show me the Van Damme clip just for fun.
Starting point is 00:44:04 To give you a sense of the book's literary value, one character finds himself in an apartment with at least six women not wearing tops and proclaims out loud to nobody, I'm dead, I've gone to boob heaven. So it also, I want to read this whole excerpt because it also, to your question, about whether something is revealed here that he would maybe not want revealed. after the women fell asleep Mikey came out looked around and saw there were at least six women not wearing tops he proclaimed
Starting point is 00:44:37 I'm dead I've gone to boob heaven the doorbell rang this thing just snaps right along somebody get that he said but no one was paying any attention to him
Starting point is 00:44:48 too many boobs in one room are very distracting he decided so he opened the door himself A young girl was standing there. Is Joey here? He is, Mikey said, but no one can come in if they're still wearing a top.
Starting point is 00:45:08 Jesus Christ. He tells a young girl to take her top off in the Boob Heaven excerpt? Yeah, he's clearly St. Peter at the gates of Boob Heaven. And if you're trying to enter, you better not have a top on. Unbelievable. The ghostwriter is like, please don't put my name. on this. Are you fucking kidding me? Please. Actually, it'll only be your name because
Starting point is 00:45:32 I've decided to run for president and I can't be revealing I'm a pedophile. There's another scene where he's reviewing footage. So Donald Trump exists in this book. Even though, yeah, like the celebrity
Starting point is 00:45:48 apprentice is happening in the book. So I'm going to read another excerpt. Rordan put a DVD into the machine, took the remote from Belasco's desk, and pushed play. The screen flickered and the camera shot reminded stat remained static on a large table for a long time. The boardroom, Reardon said. The one the boss uses in the television show. The Celebrity Apprentice boardroom? Yeah, watch. Fast-ording the DVD, the time clock raced to 327. That's when Roared
Starting point is 00:46:19 and slowed it down. Now watch. Two shadows stepped in front of the camera, then moved away and came into focus. It was hard to see because the boardroom set was unlit, but Belasca watched as two people went to the big table. It was a man and a woman. Here you go, Rorden said. The two looked around, then the man moved in on the woman, and they embraced. Then the man pulled down his pants and pulled down the woman's pants. And within a minute she was lying on the table and he was lying on top of her.
Starting point is 00:46:51 What the thing? Pulled down his pants and then pulled down the woman's pants. Is this Ralph Wiggum write this shit? I know. Like truly, this part reminds me
Starting point is 00:47:03 of the anecdotes where like sex workers have been like, yeah, I've been with Donald Trump. What do you want to know? And they're like, well, like,
Starting point is 00:47:10 what was it like? And they're like, well, he paid me money. Uh, and then went upstairs and watched TV. Like,
Starting point is 00:47:16 he's not, he's not interested in sex. Like, for whatever reason, he's interested in appearing to have set. Like, this feels like you said, like,
Starting point is 00:47:25 like, a child describing the sexual act. It's, it's, it's 40-year-old virgin when he's talking about it felt like her boob was a bag of sand. Yeah. Going, yeah, then, then they looked around and then
Starting point is 00:47:37 the man pulled down his, the man pulled down his pants. And then he pulled down the woman's pants and then. Within a minute. Yeah. What is, are we, are we, is this a baking recipe? Yeah. What's, what's the specificity about the
Starting point is 00:47:53 duration between the pants being pulled down? He went poopy after. Yeah. It's just a child. He went potty and then she went potty. Wow. My God. The thing though, too, is he's, you know it's written by him because when he said the man moved in on the woman.
Starting point is 00:48:14 Yeah. That's like exactly how he talks. Yeah. The Access Hollywood. Access Hollywood tape. Yeah. And you're like, this is again a sex predator dry snitching on himself in the form of a quote, unquote novel.
Starting point is 00:48:27 I mean, he's probably like, what do you mean? This is all just stuff I made up. They're like, sir, this. Oh, Jesus. Let's just say this other guy who wrote it. Producer Cathar made a really good point where there's just no like even scent of consent in any of like where it's the women are unconscious. This he pulled down his pants.
Starting point is 00:48:47 They pulled down her. There's just no woman. You pull your pants down and you then you pull their pants down. You pull their pants down. Not like they both undressed amorously or something. It's just more like, no, no, no, no. We're playing doctor. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:00 Yeah, the women were all unconscious, right? Asleep. After the woman fell asleep, Mikey came out, looked around and saw there were at least six women not wearing ties. So one woman fell asleep. The six women were taking him to boob heaven. She was asleep. The other six, they were dead.
Starting point is 00:49:18 They were angels. They were in boot heaven. They're not alive, human beings. To the point of it. about consent. The very first chapter finds the manager discovering that a Trump Tower resident is being held against her will after non-consensual BDSM sex. And the scene is just like not, like that doesn't seem to be the prop. Yeah, like the way it's written, it's like it's describing someone who was just there against their will. And the guy's cool. Yeah. Sweet. He finds her and
Starting point is 00:49:49 removes the gag from her mouth and said, Miss Benson, that fucking bastard, she screamed fucking bastard Tommy fucking Seasons. Tommy fucking Seasons. Amazing. And then Miss Benson, he sat down on the side of the custom made extra large king-sized bed, deliberately leaving her still handcuffed.
Starting point is 00:50:09 Jesus Christ. Also, didn't Kevin McAllister acts for like a extra large king-sized bed and home-al- alone, too? Yeah. He's pulling from all kinds of things. There's also a part where Bill Clinton shows up and casually
Starting point is 00:50:24 suggest that Donald Trump will be president one day. Yeah, well, Bill took Cindy's arm and wrapped it in his. If the Donald ever becomes president, he'll claim to play to 15. It's what we do. I don't know what the fuck that means. Don't like that.
Starting point is 00:50:40 Claim to play to 15? Hard to say. Is that like a golf thing? Hard to say, even if we knew what it was, it would be hard for us to say it out loud. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's so fucked up, I believe. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:52 It's good writing as well. what it is. They've really got the kind of rhythm of how people talk. If the Donald ever becomes president, he'll claim to play to 15. It's what we do. I hope that's like a golf
Starting point is 00:51:08 reference and not something else. Right. Yeah. But what probably isn't. I'm just now, okay, so he's got the TV. If we're going down that list of failed ideas that Trump is now, they have to distract him with by going all in on to
Starting point is 00:51:23 prevent him from actually doing it. I think we might be getting both the tower and Trump Tower. Wow. Yeah. Which version do you want? And I mean, what? Isn't Showtime owned by Paramount now? So, yeah, he, I mean, I don't know and I can safely say yes, it is. Yeah. Yeah. Seems bad, but this is, this is amazing. Maybe, in better news, maybe we'll all die and we'll go to boob heaven. You know? Who's to say we're not already there? Thank you. We're in leg heaven.
Starting point is 00:51:58 I'll tell you that. On this on this five. I'll have that right now. Yeah. Let's take a quick break. We'll compare legs. Get out of the tape measure. And then we'll be back.
Starting point is 00:52:17 Behind every night spent making the kids' lunches, there's a lot of suspense. Will they finally eat the veggies? Will the pasto survive the first bite? Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full, or come home at all? And will you finish episode 8 before you're done slicing the cucumbers? Starting point is 00:55:10 Join us for a panel of wellness influencers. What I try to do is faux journal. I don't know. Have you guys heard of faux journaling? Yeah, it's reading. It's called reading. So we don't like to use that word anymore. A panel of New Yorker cartoonists.
Starting point is 00:55:24 Have you guys done? very grosses peloton class. No! I've been dying, too. I'm so sorry. I'm seeing a reading of Sadako in the Thousand Paper Cranes by Audra McDonald's at the Wonderland Bookstore of 14th.
Starting point is 00:55:38 That's crazy. I went to the Wonderland Bookstore yesterday, and I heard Nora Jones do a reading of Zero Dark 30. No way. You have to come to the last bookstore, though. Kim Cottrell is reading the guitar tabs of yesterday. A panel of Eurovision participants.
Starting point is 00:55:53 And we do a little Halloween sometime. Does the Pope John? dress up. He winks on Halloween. He gets right up next to the microphone. I hear you can almost hear the eyelashes hit each other. You never seen Italy so quiet as when the Pope gets up to wink on Halloween. Listen to artists on artists on artists on artists on the IHeard radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Self-care September is here, which means it's time to rethink what self-care actually means. Yes, self-care can be a long walk. It can be in everything shower. It can be putting your phone on do not disturb, but sometimes it's actually about sitting with the uncomfortable stuff and understanding your patterns, your boundaries, finally figuring out while you keep doing things that you swore you would never do again. I'm Gemma Spegg, the host of the psychology of your 20s podcast, and each week we unpack the psychology behind the experiences that shape your 20s, from relationships and friendships to money, anxiety, confidence, attachment, just becoming more comfortable with who you are. Unlike the quarter life crisis, which is depicted
Starting point is 00:56:54 is the collapse, the quarter life reinvention is the expansion and growth of something. When we develop the ability to be happy by ourselves, nobody else can take that from you. So this self-care September, don't just take care of yourself. Get to know yourself as well. Listen to the psychology of your 20s on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Mimi Brown, and every day on Front Page Podcasts, I help you make sense of the stories shaping our world. Each day, I break down the biggest headlines, provide important context, and explain how these stories could impact your life, your family, and your community. My goal is to deliver clear, trustworthy information in a format that fits your schedule.
Starting point is 00:57:37 And when a story deserves a deeper conversation, I'll sit down with experts, newsmakers, and thought leaders to help you better understand the headlines. I spoke with Gary Mayer, Eddie Melton, about what's happening on the ground, whether race is playing a role and what help is available for fans. families who simply can't afford the added cost. Joining us now is Tennessee State Representative Justin J. Pearson. Thank you so much for having me. I appreciate it. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:58:03 Whether it's a major national story or an issue impacting your community, join me on Front Page. Listen to Front Page from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Every case has a story. Every victim has a voice. it be heard. I'm Nancy Grace on Crime Stories. We go beyond headlines to examine evidence, challenge the story we're fed, and pursue justice for victims and their families. Please join
Starting point is 00:58:36 us at Crime Stories with Nancy Grace on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you find your podcasts. Hope you join us. I'll see you there, friend. And we're back. Oh man. I just flew in from Boob heaven. Yeah. And boy, are my legs tired. For some reason. Boy, are my arms spiders. Who says that?
Starting point is 00:59:05 Someone has that joke. Boy, are my arms spiders. Sorry. Yep. Ah, Jesus Christ. We're having fun, are we folks? Oh, yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:59:18 Let's talk about, we talked yesterday about how the polling is not looking great for the Republicans in terms of the midterms. Yeah. But what the fuck? Enthusiasm's down. No. Yeah, they're saying enthusiasm to vote for a Republican party and, you know, Trump nominees is down. But what do they know? You know?
Starting point is 00:59:38 Mm-hmm. Like, you go out, you see these crowds that this guy's able to get. You see J.D. Vance up there killing with his fart left, far left joke. Yep. God, that was good. That was so good. That was so fucking good. Is that like one of those things where you're a stand-up and you're just like,
Starting point is 00:59:56 Oh, on the one hand, you're happy for him. And, like, you're laughing so hard. On the other hand, you're sick with jealousy. So when we were in the room writing that, it was, I would say, it was a long day. We were probably in the 11th hour. And Greg Gutfeld had pitched something similar to that earlier in the day. And we had been workshopping and perfecting it. There were 50 of us in the room.
Starting point is 01:00:21 And we finally arrived at that. 50 comedy, Joe Rogan's comedy assassins in there. I love it. I think a few, exactly, I think a few years from now, we'll appreciate it more once we have, like, some separation from it. Because, like, right now you just think about the work, obviously. And right, right. But yeah, rather than the fruits of your labor. But we're, I mean, obviously it was a great joke. It was a great joke. I say. Can I just, so this was my guess at how it came together.
Starting point is 01:00:44 Yeah, go ahead. Right. So far left, far left is like the first idea. Really funny. Everybody starts laughing. They're like, write that down,
Starting point is 01:00:52 pissing shit in themselves. Like can't, you know, have to clean up, forget about it. Like, why would we bring that up again? It's just going to make a mess.
Starting point is 01:01:00 And then, Guttfeld. And I heard Guttfeld's voice in this. So I'm glad you confirmed that it was Guts up. Comes back and says, what if after the laughter dies down?
Starting point is 01:01:10 or after just like a long pause for laughter that doesn't happen. What if he comes back and draws attention to it and says, I don't know if you heard that, but I said, you thought I said far left. And I don't misspe. What I said is far left. And the media is going to say that I did that on purpose.
Starting point is 01:01:32 But I didn't. And like that's what really packs the comedy in. Because those are different words. And then like just over explain it a little bit. You are correct. So that was that is, so that was what most of the day was is discussing how we do that. And also was pitched where you do a similar thing,
Starting point is 01:01:52 far left, more like fart left. And then laughter, obviously 10 minutes of laughter straight. And then you come back and you just go. And then like that was something that J.D. wanted to do. And obviously it's a collaborative process. But I think there was a time restriction.
Starting point is 01:02:07 Sure. Just maybe what the issue was. Hate that. you know, leave them wanting more, which I think is, leave them laughing. Could they even handle more? Yeah. Do, right.
Starting point is 01:02:15 Would you actually kill people with, if, if he did that? You know, would be physically die. They would. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Anyways. So, yeah, vote.
Starting point is 01:02:25 People vote with their money with their butts, right? Yeah. I made that sound like they're like, but you know what I? Like people, butts in seats, spending money on these tickets or just like going to see these people. So they had a great. opportunity to prove that all this bad polling is bullshit, fake news, fake liberal. Fake reality.
Starting point is 01:02:48 Yeah. So Freedom Fest, we've all got our calendars marked for September 26th, Saturday, September 26th, 2020s. This Saturday. Kid Rock is the headliner. Yeah. His feature, like the openers are a bunch of politicians. for some reason. And also dog the bounty hunter.
Starting point is 01:03:13 Yep. So can we talk about how that's formatted? Well, yeah, this is clearly an AI generated flyer for the fucking thing. So it makes no sense. So it'll be like James Comer, lower third U.S. congressman. Then you get down to, then there's also someone from Fox News. Like just underneath, you got a real easy, Joe Concha, Fox News, Fox News, Fox News, Jackie Count, first lady of boxing.
Starting point is 01:03:40 Dog the Bounty Hunter. Right. His name is Dog the. His name is dog the. His profession is bounty hunter. It's me, dog the. That is actually so funny.
Starting point is 01:03:53 Dog the proper format would be Dog the bounty hunter, the bounty hunter. Or dog the bounty hunter celebrity, TV personality. You know what I mean? But whatever the AI got really fucked up there, they're like, fuck, man. right there. He's a bounty hunter
Starting point is 01:04:10 and his name's Dog the. I'm actually stuck in a logic loop over here. Like, I don't know what to do with that. Dog the bounty hunter, bounty hunter. I think that's it. Yeah. Dog the bounty hunter. I think that's it. I think that's it. I just like that you can change with anything like dog the racist or whatever.
Starting point is 01:04:28 So I'm not mad at this naming convention. It's malleable. What's his first name is dog the? It's Dway. That'd be funny though. For those of us to watch the show. When it came out. Anyways.
Starting point is 01:04:42 Dwayne Chapman is his name. I'm assuming our numbers are going to be down for this episode as our listeners are having to spend all day changing travel plans because it was just announced that this shit got canceled. That's fucking terrible. Host Republican gubernatorial candidate Eric Dieter canceled the event after only six $1,000, $1,000, $1 VIP tickets were sold. And I just want to I just want to read his statement. Dude, the whole thing is crazy.
Starting point is 01:05:16 Yeah. I am never, ever, ever, ever, ever doing this event again. When I put together Patriot State Freedom Fest, I put it together with the game plan and the idea that I could pay for it with the VIP sales of $1,000 from these hundred people that I, interact with on a regular basis that have money. On a regular basis that have money.
Starting point is 01:05:49 It's so funny. Dude, the whole thing, he goes, quote, it's Monday morning. I got my guy who's setting up the ticket sales. I said, how many have bought a ticket? And he said, you can't make this up. Are you ready for the drum roll? Only six people had bought a VIP ticket.
Starting point is 01:06:06 Out of all these people that have money, that I interact with, who I do favors for all day long, they ask me for something. I never say no. I never said no to these people. None of these people will ever, ever, ever, ever, ever get a favor from me again, ever. Not only will they never get a favor from me again, they do not have a bulldog immunity. What? That last one caught me up guard.
Starting point is 01:06:33 So is he maybe the bulldog and they're not immune to him? Like maybe. Maybe. I mean, y'all fucked up. Yeah. His, his,
Starting point is 01:06:41 I'll just play a random part of this Facebook statement he was making. The title of it was like, this may be the longest, my longest Facebook live ever, but he's just hooting and hollering about, I don't even know what. I'll just go to a random part, but he looks animated.
Starting point is 01:06:57 Always support this event. Always turn out. Folks, where is there an event that has five on the low side, 15,000 on the high side? People. It doesn't happen very often unless President Trump's there. So he just keeps going on about it.
Starting point is 01:07:11 He's like, I've done stuff before on, because this was taking place at his farm. He's like, I've done stuff at my farm before and people come. But again, I think to your point, Jack, there's no enthusiasm and also B, all of these people don't realize no one has money to spend on your dumb fuck freedom festival. And even if they did, the gas, like, it's, this is just, I don't know who has the disposable income to do this. even with the offering of free camping, like you said, on the flyer. Free camping. You guys can sleep outside on my farm. I will let you sleep outside on my farm in September.
Starting point is 01:07:49 Full on driveway access. That's right. Free camping is a wild thing to claim as an amenity. How many of the 100 people that I talk to interact with on a regular basis that have money are just like AI bots that are trying to scam him. Like I think we're learning 94 of them. Yeah. I think yeah,
Starting point is 01:08:15 because I think he's also a victim of like the right wing media sphere that has people thinking like there's way like there's way more people and enthusiasm than it actually is. You know, so he's out here being like, oh man, like yeah, you can't this is this is going to be crazy because you're all hopped up on fucking newsmax and shit and not realizing if you if you engage like with real people, even the ones that who like Donald Trump, they'd also be telling you about how they are really having trouble making ends meet. But I just love like,
Starting point is 01:08:44 it's, this is the same thing as that Charlie Kirk statue all over again. We're like that, you know, the art, like some asshole just gets too big for their britches and thought that because they know people with money, they will just piss it away on like a shitty statue or like a joke of a festival. But I guess that's also like their ethos.
Starting point is 01:09:03 It was like never own your own failures. Never own your failures. Always piss and moan about someone else. It reminds me of like the Tim Robinson sketch where John Early is like, I don't want to do it. I'm not going to do it. And then he's like, fuck, I should have lied. He's just explaining like his skis. He's like, I was going to milk these people I know who have money for the whole thing.
Starting point is 01:09:29 Just a hundred of them. Would have been a hundred grand right there. Right in my pocket. Sweet, sweet cash. I was doing this to make money off these rich people that I do favors for. Oh, fuck. Am I not supposed to be saying this out loud? Wait, weren't you a candidate for governor?
Starting point is 01:09:44 Nah. Dash. I didn't promise nothing. Okay. Sure. Sure. Okay, Eric. Well, I mean, he's he said that.
Starting point is 01:09:55 Luxury goods for people who are into mega is not, is not the great. No. Because there's not even, not even a market. for general luxury goods. You know what I mean? So then you're going to shrink it down by even like a larger portion. Even like the wealthy Trump supporters are disgusted by general, like most Trump supporters. You know, they're not here to be like, yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:21 And then I'm going to go to the infield at the Kentucky Derby. Right. Yeah. They're taking a helicopter. You got to think, Eric, think about, ask yourself this question. Would Miriam Adelson show up to this? Right. Because if the answer is no, then bro, you aren't, it ain't, you got, you're going to have to bring the level up to Miriam Adelson or, you know, the people who run U-line, like all those that shipping material companies, like those huge donors. If you can get them, that's the people you got to get activated. Not not your friends who told you, yeah, I'll give you a thousand bucks, Eric, sure. Damn, Kid Rock's going to be so disappointed, as is dog the. Dog the.
Starting point is 01:11:00 It does suck to have a nickname that can't be brought. Like Kid Rock, you can be like, that's kid, you know. Well, dog.
Starting point is 01:11:08 Dog. Yeah. If they're going to do it, it should have just been dog underneath the bounty hunter, bounty hunter. But again, this is AI.
Starting point is 01:11:16 And so if you dog the lower third bounty hunt. Yeah, I don't know why I didn't think of that. Dog is probably, um, dog the bounty? Well, there's the answer.
Starting point is 01:11:28 There it is. There's the goddamn answer. All right. Let's talk Waymos real quick. Yeah. You got them in New York? You got them in New York? First of all, they up in New York, New Jersey area, Waymos?
Starting point is 01:11:40 Probably not. Are they? I haven't seen any. No, we have those delivery bots. Yeah, yeah. You've never seen a ghost car driving around with the like. When you were out here, they probably had some Waymos, but since then, now there's way. They're fucking everywhere.
Starting point is 01:11:56 Oh, you fuck. That's right. And I actually just, we don't have a. Blake, let's go. We don't have a story. I just did the whole thing just to say that. Damn it again. You're disgusting.
Starting point is 01:12:08 You're a disgusting guy. You're a really bad guy. I hope you're fucking happy, man. You know, your kids are going to hear this one day, right? I do worry about that all the time. They have been asking, like, what is the daily zeit guys? Can I hear it? And I'm like, no, you're going to see a side of your dad that will make you respect him less and yourselves.
Starting point is 01:12:30 Yeah. Anyways. So they're all over the place. These waymores? The waymores. Yeah. The waymores. The argument for them is like they're not going to crash into people.
Starting point is 01:12:44 Like they always make the right decision because they are a computer. And we'll get to that. One thing that I've been noticing, and Miles, I'm curious if you're seeing this, is that the way people interact with them because they know that like they get stuck sometimes or they like do, they're very concerned. conservative about the way they drive. They create like chaotic driving around them. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:05 Yeah, yeah. People are just like, well, this thing's fucking slow and an idiot. And it like doesn't like make a left on right on a yellow. I saw a guy almost like ready a piss bag to throw it a waymo because it was doing this thing where it was trying to pick up someone on the corner and it threw the car off so bad. It didn't know how close to get to the corner while not being in traffic. To your point. And just caused a bottleneck where people were just like,
Starting point is 01:13:30 driving around it and like the car was freaking out because it was just setting off way too many sensors. But yeah, people are, I'm not a fan. And I'm also still, none of my friends, we keep asking each other like, are you going to take one of these? And we're all just like, fuck, no, dude. I'd rather a drunk human than a computer. I would not rather a drug human, but I would. Well, Jack, we all have our own calculus, man. Yeah, Jack.
Starting point is 01:13:55 I think you seated the high ground when you made that way more fucking joke a few minutes ago. So why don't we... So, yeah, why am I on trial for having drunk drivers take me around? There's way to go to my mom. I don't know what I'm not deciding with miles. They're fine, man. Hey, as long as you don't stink like it, then, hey, nobody's hurt. That's right.
Starting point is 01:14:16 As long as the old lady doesn't start complaining about how much you smell like whiskey. So in terms of how well they're doing as drivers, because that is the thing. It's like, well, one thing I can tell you for sure. Sure, is you're going to get where you're going safely, is a recent report. They were just introduced in Denver, and a Waymo just drove through a farmer's market in Denver on Sunday. Like leisurely, not like a elderly confused person. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was not like hitting the gas while trying to hit the break.
Starting point is 01:14:51 But it seems bad that like not a good precedent, I would say. No. Cars and farmers markets usually are terrifying headlight. It's usually not worse. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. In response, the cops are doing absolutely nothing because under current Colorado law,
Starting point is 01:15:09 there is no way for police to cite the vehicle for it. Oh, hell yeah. This is like a straight up air bud situation. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is a PG movie. Listen to this. This is no rule says a dog can't play ball. This is an actual quote from a police spokesperson said,
Starting point is 01:15:30 If there's no driver, there currently isn't a mechanism within state law for issuing a citation. So what the car is tied here? Give the car a ticket? Yeah. Anyways, we'll be over here. These don't have companies, right? This is just a isolated car driving with no driver. Yeah, I don't understand how, I mean, it's the perfect crime.
Starting point is 01:15:55 Right. Just with amazing oversight from the state. Well, it is in the sense that the only people. people with rights in this country are corporations, which aren't actually people, but legally they are. This is not an oversight because nobody anticipated self-driving cars existing. People knew this was happening, and it can be traced back to the 2017 state law, which first allowed autonomous vehicles to operate in Colorado as long as they are capable of following state and federal traffic laws, but it did not, quote, establish a way to cite the vehicle or the company operating
Starting point is 01:16:29 it when a violation occurs because corporations are more important than someone who might get bounced off the hood of a moving vehicle for instance. That's right. Well, good. I'm glad they made it real nice and easy to have an unaccountable autonomous vehicle on their road by any means. Yeah, great. And they've just granted it the legal right to have the Super Mario Brothers star where it will
Starting point is 01:16:57 be flashing and it can just go through. Anything and people will just be bouncing off of it. It just doesn't matter. Yeah, you don't want to get near that thing. Waymo was literally doing the thing where they're like, it actually, we talked to the police and they said it doesn't matter. Like the police like don't care about. They said these people who we almost hit aren't corporations. So like they don't matter.
Starting point is 01:17:26 We just like could keep going. Are they in house? I don't need to fix that. Not even like that. They're just like so low. Like nobody cares about him. So it's fine. Okay.
Starting point is 01:17:37 My God. That's horrible. Yeah. They have. So like, again, this is a problem that Waymo will have to fix because it's a bad look, but not for any legal liability reasons. I'll just have to be like, man, we kind of look stupid. We should probably make sure they don't drive through a farmer's market again.
Starting point is 01:17:57 Yeah. We don't want to get made fun of. Yeah, exactly. By the other autonomous vehicles. Yeah. Teasing them. Blake Waxler. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:07 God damn it. Always such a pleasure having you. Son of a bitch. You son of a bitch. Where can people find you, follow you all that good stuff? People can find me at Blake Waxler on social media. I will be performing in Cape Charles, Virginia on November 21st. Claude's Comedy Club in Philadelphia.
Starting point is 01:18:28 on Blake Friday, November 27th, January 15th, Empire Comedy Club in Portland, Maine, and January 16th, the hideout in Boston. Amazing. Yeah. Is there a work of media that you've been enjoying? Yes, there is. I'm going to drop it in the little chat here. So it's a... You better not.
Starting point is 01:18:48 I saw this a few weeks where it's... It made the rounds on social media where there was a guy, ABC News in Chicago had posted about it, where there was a bike, a cyclist in Portland who is biking in a way I've never seen a human being bike where like he's bouncing his ass up like really high in the air like while he's cycling I just drop. Yeah. Are you are in it. It is one of the if you guys look at it right now. Yeah shit. Shit. She has to screen. Oh, it's like, because like the pedals are like aligned. Yes. Oh. He's not actually pedaling. He has to go. He's stupid. Stupid. Unique bike riding sound like, dude, his pedals are fucked up. Yeah, it's like, what if he didn't know that there was another option?
Starting point is 01:19:32 And he's like, I guess it's just what bikes are. I know, he's really like it. It's funny because he's biking next to a person who has the pedals oriented in the correct way that just allow you to cycle. Why can't I get it like? He's like, what's your problem? Asshole. He's like verbally abusing them. He was fucking moron.
Starting point is 01:19:46 Oh, first time riding a bike, huh? Yeah, it's like riding a bike. Incredibly hard that's saying. It's a totally warped understanding. Right. Is he even using his legs at that point? It feels like he's not even bending his knees. Kind of more core.
Starting point is 01:20:03 Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, hey, man, you did that. Makes you look kind of like a, like a pump jack sort of thing.
Starting point is 01:20:12 Yeah. Like a, what are they called? What is there a dickhead? It makes you look like a dickhead. Oh, that's what it was. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:20:18 yeah, yeah. A fucking dumb ass. Miles, where can people find you? Is there a work of media? You'll be enjoying. Yeah. Find me everywhere.
Starting point is 01:20:27 At Miles of Gray, I'm talking about 90-day fiancé on 420-day fiancé. I'm talking about, guess what, English football and the like on A&Footie with Jamel Johnson and Chris Martin. A work of media I like, yes, let me just drop my wonderful thread with Jack and Blake, where the algorithms have determined I am some kind of Philadelphian. Yo, you've been to Tokyo? Okay, so first. Have you been to Tokyo or Kyoto? Get a hoogie in Tokyo?
Starting point is 01:21:00 Yeah, the Eagle Bar in Tokyo? Bad hoax. Because there's been a fan. I got one, I got one video of one that said Philadelphia Eagles Bar in Tokyo. But that all started when I began sharing some really good Delco memes. This one, we talked about it on Monday's episode. But this is from this creator, Gary Dinoja, and does a ton of, like, Just lip dubs if like if so-and-so character was from Delco.
Starting point is 01:21:27 And this one is called if Yoda was from Delco. I just want to play a little bit of it because I just love. It's perfect. This shit is so good. Yoda. Yo, Yota, you good, dude? Fuck up. Shut the fucking dying.
Starting point is 01:21:42 I am. Fogging thousand years old I is. Yeah, yeah. You good, Dave? Oh, my God. Love her. regional accent delco you're still at the top of the list in my yeah yeah you're good dave it is it is really the accent that keeps you like it's just there's so many little wrinkles that
Starting point is 01:22:10 like i i've had cousins and friends who have really thick philly accents my whole life and like i'll still just find something that they say and be like god it's so good man so good god bless you Delaware County. No one should know what Delaware County is, by the way. It is completely inconsequential as a geographic region, except for some reason an inordinate amount of NBA referees came from there, including Tim Donahey, who was the whole NBA cheating gambling thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:43 But other than that, no reason to know where it is. And yet it's one of the, it's like the eighth most known accent in the world. But like that's- getting more because it's truly like I feel like it's every actor's favorite accent to do now it used to be Boston and they're like no this is actually this is well yeah ever since what mayor of east town yeah yeah and task and also the pit too and the pit also the pit is Pittsburgh which is a similar yeah yeah they have yeah they share a lot they're it's like a philly accent with yin's yeah yeah yin's guy no it's completely different I know don't call the same thing I like to tweet by Geraldo At voice of
Starting point is 01:23:25 Heraldo Who said Lying about my birthday At Chili is getting caught Then escalating it Into a suicide by cop situation I don't
Starting point is 01:23:35 I don't think it's the actual Horald Very Tim Robinson-esque Yeah Yeah You can find me on Twitter Jack underscore O'Brien Blue Sky
