Starting point is 00:04:10 of Darleney Zikas! It's a production of iHeartRadio. It's a podcast where we take a deep dive into America's shared consciousness through the day's news. We also have a new non-news, history version of the Daily Zygotech dropping each Monday morning called the iconograph.
Starting point is 00:04:24 We just did the Ninja Turtles. We've recently done Garf Field. Oh, no. Madge. I thought you were from, like, New York, and you were talking about Garth from Wayne's World. We did Garth. We did Björk.
Starting point is 00:04:38 We did Bjork with today's. guests. They're evergreen. You can go listen to them anytime. Actually, we're going to start taking them down, so go listen to them now. Put a little clock menace threat. Whoa. Yeah, yeah. It's marketing. I learned it from Cal Sheet.
Starting point is 00:04:54 You kind of freaked me out. And I was like, we are we going to do that? And then I realized, no, we never follow through on anything. No, never. Yeah. Go take follow through. It is Thursday, September 10th, 2026. Happy 9-11-e. Yes. 9-11 minus one.
Starting point is 00:05:09 Do you guys open presents? the night before, like one present. No, no, no, no, we're purists. Okay. Yeah, we don't do it until. Morning of. Yeah, yeah. It has to be at the actual time.
Starting point is 00:05:17 Actually, don't even buy my 9-11 tree until 9-11. I do it on 9-12. They're a lot cheaper. My son's young enough not to know when it is 9-11, and he doesn't know. I got it from the discount bid. Anyway, it is. I still believe in the 9-11 fair. All right.
Starting point is 00:05:32 That's it. We just usually knock down our tree. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Anyway, it is September 10th. It's national TV dinner day, national school picture day, world suicide prevention day, and also national anti-junk light day. And I'm like, what is that? What they're talking about is like artificial light that causes light pollution
Starting point is 00:05:53 that we take for granted how much light effects are. That glow you see coming off of a city. The reason you can't see the stars at night when you live in Los Angeles. It sounds like collectively just the latchkey kid day. Yeah, yeah. It's like my childhood. My father, blue light, coming off of the TV. Yes.
Starting point is 00:06:14 TV dinner day. I'm like, this is so after school. Like, this is us after school. Very Jesus coded. You see a blue light. You're like, father. And they're like, that's a TV in the distance. Oh, yes, of course.
Starting point is 00:06:27 I knew that. Sorry, I'm supposed to shut up. No. No, you're not. No, no, you're not. Don't you ever say that about my friend prop, okay? Hey. My name is Jack O'Brien, aka face down, bristles up.
Starting point is 00:06:39 That's the way I like to brush. That one courtesy of Big Cricket account on the Discord in reference to a toothbrush pillow for depressed people who can't get out of bed to brush their teeth at Pahlavi and Brian. And I invented on the show yesterday. Damn, so just basically turn over on your pillow. It's got bristles and you can just get it in there. It's depressing, but it could be useful.
Starting point is 00:07:04 I feel like that would be, it's so sad that you would be like, Damn, it ain't this bad. Right. And they be like, the more thing you need. Yeah, I'm a get up. I can brush my teeth. It's not, I don't need to have my plaque I've just brushed be in my hair. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:18 That's a good point. We are also talking about maybe like a mouthpiece that just like is like a dishwasher for your teeth. Yeah. That seems to me more. Toothrushing feels antiquated. We should be beyond this. Was it Rick Moranis working on some shit like that? Right.
Starting point is 00:07:33 I shrunk the kids. Didn't you have like a helmet that was brushing his teeth? Yeah. Where the fuck are you at Rick Moranus working on? In many ways. Although he is back. He did recently reemerge, which is really nice to see. Where have you gone?
Starting point is 00:07:44 Rick Moranis. I'm thrilled to be joined, as always, by my co-host, Mr. Miles Gray. Yes, it's Miles Gray, the Lord of Lancashim, aka the blackest Japanese you ever seen in your life. Shouts to Fat Joe, okay? The blackest, okay? My God. I'm not up on this.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Controversy. Fat Joe, who is Puerto Rican and Cuban. He says a lot of people are like, hey, bro, what's up? What are you using? He's like, I'm allowed to say the N-Wer. Uh-huh. And then, and you go back.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Because I'm Puerto Rican. I'm blacking in all of you. Right. And we get that. Look, slavery touched many lands. Sure. Touched many lands. But, and again, for me, I'm like, I know in L.A. is a little bit different in New York.
Starting point is 00:08:32 People get a pass. It's a little different because people grow up together and just kind of the cultures in their mix. But when you go out there, and then you say, I am black. Fat Joe is the blackest nigga you ever seen in your life. And you have Joe Buddy in the corner going like this. Just doing real Joe Budden face like, hmm, hmm.
Starting point is 00:08:51 You didn't need to go that far out. Which you until the end, my G. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You could have just, I understand. There's a lot of nuance of that conversation. Especially when there's like Afro-Po-Portaricans exist. Yeah, yeah. Like black, there's black people in Puerto Rico.
Starting point is 00:09:05 Yes, sure, sure, sure. You sir are not one of them. Remember when he said, he said, I'm the blackest. Go look it up. And it's like, is there like a scroll of the blackest you've ever seen? It seems as though you're defining blackness by its stereotypes, my friend, which would mean that. Look at the suit I wore and I won a war show. Big as fuck.
Starting point is 00:09:27 18 buttons down the front, the blackish. People are looking it up because when you Google Fat Joe space, the number one auto complete from Google. parents. Oh, after this, yeah. A lot of people. Ethnicity. Yeah. It's activated a lot. It's activated a lot. But anyway, but that is true. I am the blackest Japanese Negro you ever seen in your life. It's true. I've always said that. Thank you, Jack. We are thrilled to be joined by a brilliant poet, political activist, academic MC, podcast host of the Musilesson podcast, Hood Politics with Prop on Coolzo Media. Coffee Slinger. Coffee Slinger. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? Oh, is that we've been here. over the
Starting point is 00:10:07 lemon. The most lemonous Negro you ever simped in your life. Lemon Negro. Please welcome Jason Petty,
Starting point is 00:10:16 AKA Pras! It's crop. I know on my mom, my hood, I look good, but
Starting point is 00:10:23 I ain't as fine. It's Luigi Manji Oni. I'm saying. Luigi Mangione could probably get away with saying that
Starting point is 00:10:34 before Fat Joe. At this point, he got a full pass. I honestly, if you put the two, if Luigi Mangione would be like, is it cool if I say that?
Starting point is 00:10:42 Yeah. You're like, yeah, you're all right. Yeah, you're good. I honestly never get the Italians to stop, though. If you let him go, you let him get over. The Italian is got over.
Starting point is 00:10:50 Luigi. Well, you let Luigi. He's my cousin. The thing is, this AKA specifically, I would, would merge is probably to now,
Starting point is 00:11:03 I would say, of the four un, irrevocable passes to the barbecue we've given the wifey. Like, one is definitely Haley. You know, she... It's irrevocable. There's a new one. I found a new artist who sounds like Haley. Haley, that's killing me right now.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Dahlia to that later. Dali Parton. Irrevocable. She's... She gets to come to... She's just there. And now, yeah. Oh, I said four. Yeah. Yeah. Miley Cyrus. Absolutely. Miley Cyrus.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Absolutely. Yeah. Well, we're thrilled to have you here. I'm glad to be here, man. We're going to get to know you a little bit better in a moment. First, we're going to tell the listeners, a couple of things we're talking about. We're going to talk about LeBron's polymarket ad, which has been getting a lot of blowback for some reason. I'm not sure.
Starting point is 00:11:53 We'll also talk about it in the context of Sidney's No Vig ad, just sports. Just sports. Oh, no Vig. No Vig. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, what's the big on this one?
Starting point is 00:12:08 So, like, Vig is like clothes. No. That's interest. It's interest. Yeah. It's the Vig. That's, yeah, yeah. You know what you meant like, because she's not wearing clothes.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Yeah. And in this case, Vig is close. Yeah. We're going to talk about the ignoble prizes. The ignobiles, because they've done some important things for not pissing on your pants. Technology. Yeah. We will talk about.
Starting point is 00:12:30 It's big. This is, I think, really underrated that we've run. that we're here. You're getting a lot of splashback, I feel like. For my stream? Forget about it, bro. I got a mid-30 stream up this month. My stream is thicker than the offerings that were coming out in 2022 on streaming platforms.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Wow. How strong my stream is. Will we allow that? Well, as it reach. It's thicker than the offerings that were coming out in 2020. It was a very insular streaming, what streaming has done. Peaks streaming. I'll retract that.
Starting point is 00:13:07 It was definitely calculating. Is there a show that it's peak streaming that we could reference specifically? I'm just saying specifics. When trying to describe the strength of your stream. Stronger in the Tiger King era. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that. Stronger than that. Yeah, with Jason.
Starting point is 00:13:24 And I'll allow it now. Thank you. All of that. Plenty more. But first prop, we do like to ask our guests. What is something from your search history that is revealed? about who you are. Yeah, I like to answer that question, too.
Starting point is 00:13:36 Speaking of streaming, I think it's like, I have just decided that I am now a soccer fan. I'm in football. I'm here. I do it every year. Every year, not every year, every time World Cup come around, I be like, I don't know why I don't watch this all year. Yeah, you mentioned this last time. I said it. I'm like, I'm it every time.
Starting point is 00:13:58 And I get so, like, especially like international stuff, I just feel like there's so many leagues across the world that I'm like this is impossible I can't keep up with this so like and my I'm still resisting like Premier League like I'm just kind of resisting it but the women's FIFA has started
Starting point is 00:14:15 and it was like okay these are these are international teams these are the greatest players on the planet what the fuck channel is this on like I do I watch it I was it took me a hour
Starting point is 00:14:31 I'm like somebody broke, obviously search engines are broken. But like the amount, I mean, I had my duck, duck go, Google, Safari, Bing. I was like somebody. Whole team. The whole team. The whole team was down.
Starting point is 00:14:46 Yes, I need somebody to show me where this is because I'm like, first of all, I refuse to buy another subscription. I refuse. I'm like, this is where I'm putting my flag. I am not buying. I hate y'all so much. Good luck. I am not. It's like, I've never
Starting point is 00:15:01 I've never been less interested in the NBA than this season because I'm like oh, so I just need five so I just need five subscriptions to watch Well, you need five plus league pass Plus league pass. So like, and then each of them got an up charge I'm like, I hate y'all, I hate y'all, I hate y'all, I hate y'all.
Starting point is 00:15:17 Turns out the answer is Peacock. Picock? Even then. Premier League fans were being put off by Peacock because they ran a fucking ad in the middle of getting the match and people were like, what the fuck is this? What are you doing? What are you doing? Dude.
Starting point is 00:15:29 And not only that. While the ball was in play. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There was like a weird. It's just like a weird timing. It was like a little inset thing played and people were like, no. Nah, fam. And it wasn't even, it's telemundo.
Starting point is 00:15:40 Like, it's not even peacock. It's telemundo. So I got to watch it in Spanish, which I don't mind because it's good practice. But at the end of the day, I'm just like, why you are making it, you're putting so many barriers in front of just consuming your content. This is way too hard. Yeah. Turns out they don't give a fuck.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Turns out. Nobody is advocating on behalf of consumers. So it's just like whatever works for them. It's like, well, it's actually kind of easy for us. Better for us because we get to make more money. And it's all part of this like larger thing about how sports used to be like the working persons. Yeah. Like a thing that every person no matter what you did, you could take your ass to a game.
Starting point is 00:16:23 Yeah. It didn't used to be like, well, we've got to run your credit before you walk into the crypto.com arena. I'm not down. You think about two, because remember in the World Cup, we're like, who the fuck is going to pay all these prices? Clearly there were there. It was just everybody with a lot more disposable income. Other people obviously saved a ton just to go there.
Starting point is 00:16:41 But it also emerged too. It's like, no, there's also a market called wealthy people who now sports can be completely catered to. Because you can go to the games, you can get a seat and ticket, and you can afford all the fucking streaming platforms you need to watch. It's actually great. I just flew in for the day. Checked it out. Did a little tailgate. It was being the boys.
Starting point is 00:17:00 And it was pretty fun. Yeah, we got to be back to work on Monday. It's pretty cool. There's even in history, like, 1700s, when the concept of like the music festival came together. In the 1700s? As we know it on Woodstock? Yeah, as one with first Woodstock was the music festival as we know it. Right?
Starting point is 00:17:21 You know, you've watched, all of you've watched medieval shows. Medieval festivals. Yeah. Where it's just like. Yeah, it's just in the village and people are acting. And it was great. It was in Europe. Somebody was like, what if we charge people to get in here?
Starting point is 00:17:37 And then they just started jacking up the prices, which is why, like, why we see, like, classical music as, like, snotty is, like, hoity. It's, like, of the wealthy because there was a day that it was the people's music. And then one day, somebody was like, I bet you we could make a bag of money. Actually, come into my castle real quick. I'm just playing that shit just for me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, totally. So like it's just, it's the trajectory that, like, when are we going to get off this?
Starting point is 00:18:04 Everything. The eternal question. You know what I'm saying? So, yeah, so my search engine was like women's FIFA world. Right. And then you made me mad because now you got me cheering for FIFA. And I'm like, and I'm also pissed at you for that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Yeah. It happens. Yeah. Yeah. It's a cycle of like poor people create something out of necessity. Yes. And for joy. Just for joy.
Starting point is 00:18:27 Yeah. And then it just gets moved up. Yep. That was like when I learned that like, uh, lobsters and shit, lobster. They're like poor people food because they're like, oh, you mean sea bugs? Yeah, you mean that you mean that shit at the bottom of the ocean?
Starting point is 00:18:40 Yeah, you go ahead with that trash. And then when it became rare enough from working class people eating and they're like, no, no, no, actually that's ours now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now it's like so expensive. Hey, it sounds so much. What is something you think is underrated? Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:53 Just jealous. I know, right. The black is Japanese Negro. The black is Japanese. Yeah. What I think is underrated, okay, these are all kind of connected, and it's kind of just because my brain is working on it, but just like anarchy. Anarchy is underrated. Just as a acceptable worldview of how our modern world should be organized in the sense of like, I thought, like, in reality, I truly thought anarchy.
Starting point is 00:19:27 was the white boys they used to just draw to A's on their folder. Like, you know, I love their brand. Yeah, yeah, you know what I'm saying? The A was pretty dope. The A in the circle was pretty dope. I'm saying, yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:37 Yeah, but it just represented a type of dude that I was like, how beat your ass. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, I just didn't like that dude because it was just very, oh, no rules.
Starting point is 00:19:48 And then you start reading. Generally means I don't like to brush my teeth. I'm in high school and I don't like to brush my teeth. Yeah, you know, I just discovered Bob Marley, you know? Yeah, yeah. And so, but then you start reading. Yeah, yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:20:00 And you're like, and you're like, there's some real, like, just the idea of saying like, look, look, look, dude, let's follow me now, follow me now. Let me cook. The absence of rulers is not the same as the absence of leaders. We don't have to have rulers to have leaders. Right. And you're like, yeah, that's anarchy. Like, we can lead without being ruled. Right.
Starting point is 00:20:22 And you're like, yeah. Yeah. Like, yeah, you know what I'm saying? So I just feel like, and, and again, to be a truthfully transparent, like, my father was a Black Panther. I talk about all the time. So at the time, it was like, I had no interest in learning any more of European history than I had to. Sure. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:20:43 And then Margaret, Margaret Kiljoy on our network, you know, she goes, look, everything that these imperial empires did to the rest of the world, they did to us first. Right. Like before they, before they jump the seas, it happened to us. So Europe's actually been resisting against European encroachment for hundreds of years. You know what I'm saying? And I was like, I never, I never knew. Like, I just never thought about it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:13 Yeah. So then you start reading and you're just like, yeah, that's why like when, when France, you know, when they, when they went on a general strike, my friend, it was six months. Yeah. Like they didn't, you know what I'm saying? Like, we did the day in January and was ready to pat ourselves on the back. Yeah, yeah. They struck for six months, had full barbecue pits on the, on the protest. Like, barbecue pits on wheels.
Starting point is 00:21:38 Like, oh, we're just, we got to eat. We've got to eat. You know, like, well, clearly none of us are going to work right now. Right. Right. Yeah, I'm just like, I don't think, I think we just relocated anarchy to, like, you know, to like, and I'm saying this progeratively on purpose, but like
Starting point is 00:21:57 to like the Robert Evans of the world where you just like, that's a, that's a very special type. You know what I'm saying? Like that's not a regular ass dude. Right. You feel me? So we just think people that are willing to talk about that is also the person that got a goat. That are on the fringes or something. That's on the fringe. You got a goat in the backyard in Portland.
Starting point is 00:22:13 That's all. That's all it is. If you're first thought to what, you go, what's the first thing you think of anarchy? You're going, you're thinking it's a bunch of people going, No rules. Yeah, exactly. Throwing trash cans through windows. They've effectively propagandized the term.
Starting point is 00:22:29 They want. There's no need to. You're like, I don't know, bro. I see crusty, I see crust punks with that shit on. I'm not trying to be like that. Exactly. Or whatever. And then you actually, again, to your point, you learn.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Yeah. And you're like, ah, yes. Okay. I forgot. I'm from the most propagandized population on earth. Yes. Where every alternative form of governance or leadership is put through this, like, machine to be like, you don't want that, bro.
Starting point is 00:22:52 Yeah. You want, you want the Dallas Cowboys. Yeah. Well, listen. It just means no rules. And if there was no rules, I mean, who's going to come, who's going to come protect you when the bad guys go? Yeah, you're not allowed to call the police. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:23:06 I'm like, I guess there's no police. Yeah. I was going to say, I mean, who's coming now? Yeah, I was like, well, they have it. They don't come. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Number one. Yeah. Yeah. Who's going to come and save him. Four and a half hours. Yeah. Hey, where's home girls, uh, home girl on, on the new show where her mom at.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Uh-huh. Oh, yes, Savannah Guthrie? Yeah, they're not coming. Margie. They came. They just, you know, did, they were like, hey, clean that up. There's blood right there.
Starting point is 00:23:31 There's blood right now. That's disgusting. That could be evidence. Nah, that's some brown liquid or some mess. What is something he thinks over it? Probably this, I guess it's kind of in the same wheelhouse of the streaming stuff
Starting point is 00:23:44 where I'm just like, our collective willingness to like watch a game. is overrated. I think these people are highly overrating how really bad I want to watch a Dodger game or a Laker game. You know what I'm saying? Who's overrated?
Starting point is 00:24:04 The broadcasters? The broadcasters. The general, the leagues that think the general leagues and the general powers that be, I think you think, are just our collective willingness to put up with this shit. So I'm trying to say, saying in terms of like the ownership nonsense like you're like like like I said before you're putting
Starting point is 00:24:24 so many barriers in between me and enjoying this game yeah to act to the point to where it's like the juice ain't worth to squeeze fan sure like I think you I think you are overestimating my desire to see this right right you understand what I'm saying like okay let's get as dushy as possible you know you're 14 you come home and the squiggly channel with the porn on yeah like how bad do I want to see this. Bad. Right. You understand what I'm saying? Like, Miles answered that. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? I built a skill to be able to decipher what was through that code. And just to what you feel me? But what I'm saying is like, you can read that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I'm trying to say. So I'm like, my desire to see that at that time was pretty high. Yeah. Yeah. You feel me? So like,
Starting point is 00:25:07 you put this barrier in front of me. I was going to try to figure it out. Yeah. You feel me? Still dedicated. It was still dedicated. And then let's just say your cousin come over and he got an actual mag or actual video. Or your neighbor has the black box. Or your neighbor has the black box. At this point, it's like, I'm not going to just sit here and watch these squiggles. Because I don't have to anymore.
Starting point is 00:25:26 Yeah, right. You feel me? I'm going to go jack off of my neighbor's house. I go jack off of my neighbor's house. Right. Through his magazine. You know what I'm saying? So it's just like, like, you know,
Starting point is 00:25:37 so I'm just like, you, like, y'all, how, you're taking my love for watching a game. Yes. way for granted. What are the current barriers right now that are in front of you? A, there's the,
Starting point is 00:25:51 do you have spectrum sports and these nine other channels to watch for example, the Dodgers? Yes. Then you have the owners where you're like, you gave Trump a fucking ring? You're the worst,
Starting point is 00:26:02 you're owned by the worst humans. And now we're realizing that ring was probably a grease payment for probably shielding him from some kind of fraud investigation, allegedly. From an FBI investigation that he clearly is facing.
Starting point is 00:26:14 And I mean, I wish I didn't know Jared Kushner had a brother. I wish I didn't know. I wish I didn't know. I wish I didn't know. You know, so like, and I, and then on top of that, I'm like, I don't even know. I have to text Sophie. I'm like, what day is it on Amazon?
Starting point is 00:26:36 Like, you know what I'm saying? Is it Thursday? Like, what day do I watch what's channel? I have to search it. To the point to where I just be like, man, I just watch it. I was watching on YouTube. Yeah. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:26:45 YouTube recap. So I'm starting to suspect that they don't give a fuck if we watch or not. The whole thing is being funded by like brand deals at a high level. It's the same way that like AI is the circular investment thing. Like they've just figured out that like you put a big brand's name on it. You have these huge sponsorships. So what's happening right now for people who give a fuck about tennis is the U.S. Open is happening. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:11 Just have like maybe the best match of all time last night. where Al-Karaz got beat by the American Shelton. Is any puke? I don't know. Because guess what? It started at 11-10 and was over at like 3.30. 11-10 Easter? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:30 What the fuck? And they don't get, like, they're putting some of the best matches of all time in the middle of the night. Yeah, middle of the night, right? The European market? Well, it's like the thing is getting pushed back because of like various like planning issues. But it's like, still like that doesn't make sense. If you were actually, if you actually gave a fuck about people watching the event, like you would find a way for that not to happen.
Starting point is 00:27:54 Right. And instead they're just like, I don't know, man. I guess, yeah, we had the thing and Greg Goose was our sponsor. And like, we had all the brands in the right places. It would cost us $3 million if we didn't. We've already, yeah, we've already recouped. We've already made profit. So they don't give a fuck.
Starting point is 00:28:09 No, they're not. Literally no one is thinking about the consumer anywhere along the way. Yeah. Like, and so, yeah. The most I think it translates. Right. We're putting on this great sporting event. Our sponsor's names are going to be on it.
Starting point is 00:28:24 You can watch it if you want. Watch it. But like it doesn't fucking matter to us the money. Yeah, yeah. They just cared that, you know, the net had this branding behind it. Yeah. It's already, it's already deposited. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:33 Damn. So, all right. Well, I guess, uh, find something else. Where have you gone, Ralph Nade? I guess I'll watch marble racing like I did in the pandemic. I do. I feel like there's a corner for somebody to just be consumer advocate. Just like that that was rap.
Starting point is 00:28:49 The lowest hanged fruit to just be like, hey, can we not do this? There was a whole ass TV show, right? Was it a David Horowitz, right? Who had a, I mean, he fell off pretty bad, right? Fight back, remember that? Oh, not at all. It was like an 80s TV show about consumer protections where he would just, the whole TV show was just him fighting back against the corporations.
Starting point is 00:29:12 Yeah. It took like a guy. to be a consumer guy who was very famous and also I think very wealthy, right? Ralph Nader was like very rich. And to be like... You don't look rich.
Starting point is 00:29:24 Yeah. That was his brand. Yeah, his brand was consumer protection. To be like seatbelts should probably be a thing. Yeah, that was a layup for him. He had to fight his whole life. He had seat belts to be fucking lenders. Seat belts save my mother's life.
Starting point is 00:29:41 Well, fuck you. Okay. It cost my mother. Funny. The lowest hanging fruit is a seatbelt. Truly. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:48 And just with sports, it's like the same thing. Like, yeah, man. We've completely, I think any person can probably draw a line through their experience, being a lover of their sports team in their city. I grew up being able to go to the Great Western Forum to see the Lakers play and shit. And when they moved and the money got a little bit tighter, I went to the sports arena to catch a Clippers game. Sure it is. I wanted to see NBA basketball and I could get to see.
Starting point is 00:30:14 like Dominique Wilkins when he played for the, when he played Charles Smith for a second year. It's great. You know, I got to see Keith Klaus before he got beat up outside the club. And, like,
Starting point is 00:30:23 or even a Dodger game, you know, and there was always the ability to go do that. Now it's become, well, shit, man, like, first it became a thing like, well,
Starting point is 00:30:30 now it's a special thing. Yeah. That made me do once a season. Yeah. And then it became a shit like, well, if you ask for it for your birthday and Christmas combined,
Starting point is 00:30:37 we can go maybe see, get decent seats at the Lakers game. And it's just getting further and further and further away. And they completely, forget like it's there's like so many things even like with the u.s economy like we're just coasting off of like the new deal stuff yeah yeah like you know like the the infrastructure we built after world war two and be like yeah whatever man now it's just like coast off we did it we nailed it same thing where they're like taking the culture of sports uh sports fanaticism or fandom and being
Starting point is 00:31:03 like all right that foundation's there and now just try and fucking do as little as possible yeah now that we have that buy in and just see how much we can extract extract extract until it goes move and like with the Premier League, they're talking about stuff right now, too, where all the teams are borrowing money to sign these players. Like, there's a debt cycle happening. It's not just all, like, what the revenues you're generating or what's like, what's I got in my pocket here. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:27 Exactly. And, like, they're like, there's, there's potentially a huge financial reckoning coming for that, too, because everything just become runaway, money, money, money, money, and completely lost track of, like, the thing that makes it special, which is people being able to go and create memories. It's fun. that make you a fucking fan forever. You don't go because you're like,
Starting point is 00:31:45 damn, I fucking love that Tito's activation. At the clitor's game. No, many. It's a really cool activation. That's what I came for. Such is sick activation, bro. Kauai wasn't there. They said he was going to be there,
Starting point is 00:31:56 but he wasn't there. But it's sick, man. So great. It's like flying first class now. You have to, like, know somebody who works for chase or something? Right. That's the only way that people get in the arena. Right.
Starting point is 00:32:06 I was like, I know somebody whose job gave them access to a box or something. Right. All right. Let's take a quick break. We're going to come back and we're going to talk about the very bad need for just like somebody on LeBron's team who is consultant of common sense. Starting point is 00:33:33 Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable. I knew if he woke up, without a doubt, he was going to hurt me. I started feeling that that. There was someone at the end of my bed, and I just started screaming. They are abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced. But these aren't stories about what's taken from them. There's stories about what it takes to make it out alive. Listen to the Survivor Files with Elizabeth Smart on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,

The new NFL season is here, and you should be listening to NFL Daily as we march along to Super Bowl 61. Last year, we had Mike McDonald, Sam Darnel on the field after the game. But that was last year. If you're a football sicko like me, NFL Daily is your kind of show. It is in the name NFL Daily, fresh content in your feed every day all season long. Matthew Stafford coming off his MVP. On a dazzling darts from Matthew Stafford.
Starting point is 00:36:59 Big time trades that shake up the NFL. A.J. Brown is loose. And of course, those Seahawks trying to run it back and win another Lombardi trophy. The Seahawks win. Super Bowl 60. They are bringing the Lombardi back to the northwest. If it's happening on a football field, NFL Daily will cover it. Listen to NFL Daily on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:37:33 And we're back. Two big betting app ads. Big, yep. Hit the internet. So over the weekend, LeBron announced an exciting new partnership with Paul. market in an ad that was like the Riyadh comedy festival of athletes matched up with uh wolf of wall street yeah like on that like their office floor the office yeah yeah yeah yeah one's coming through yeah it's a great ad yeah it's a fun it was it reminded me of the heyday of ads you're like
Starting point is 00:38:06 it like it was a super bowl yeah like it was like a super bowl yeah like it was a fucking cameoes did you get in here even thought i fucking cameo was in there the 80s artist yeah it was a cameo a cameo. It was unfortunately for Polymarket, which is a company that takes bets on wars and how many people are going to die and stuff like that. It's not always how many people can die. Right, right. Maybe if people die. If we're going to go to the war or not. Or who's going to die too? You can take, I think who's going to die bets too. Which is fun. That is fun. It's pretty cool if you have a paper that says, we're going to war on Tuesday. And then you could go to Polymarket and say, I bet we're going to be going to.
Starting point is 00:38:45 go to war on Tuesday. Yes. And then win a lot of money. And then lose money. And then get kicked off yet. Yeah. Exciting new lanes in war profiteering. This makes available to people. And so it's him. I mean, Spike Lee's in there.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Eli Manning. Man. Yeah. I thought that guy. No, I didn't think he was cool. That family is all about advertising. I mean, Peyton, I was like, there's nobody with the last name Manning who's not going to be in an ad.
Starting point is 00:39:13 Yeah. So, LeBron. being kind of a dork continues to be a problem for his career, I think. Yeah. Like for his goat status because he's doing shit like this, which is just,
Starting point is 00:39:24 it's just a matter of him listening to probably like managers and agents. I've had to accept. Yeah, I've had to accept. And it was like a, it's finally like made the like Lincoln law kind of fall together. It's just like,
Starting point is 00:39:38 he's a businessman first. Yeah. Like, and it took me so, I couldn't, figure like he is the business of NBA, the business of being a pro athlete. He's that Jay-Z line. I'm not a business, man. Yeah, I'm a business.
Starting point is 00:39:55 Yeah. So even like it just when you accept that, every move from taking your talents to Miami, it's like you're, this is a business. It's a business. Yeah, yeah. You know, and like I feel like if I just let myself accept that, now I don't have to square the circle of like greatest of all time. you know, compared to Kobe.
Starting point is 00:40:17 I don't have to talk about it because I'm like, this is a business for him. Yeah, yeah. I don't know who this guy is, but he is an amazing capitalist. He's a capitalist. Yeah, and just let it be that.
Starting point is 00:40:27 What a run. Mm-hmm. You know what I'm saying? What a run. You got to son in, you know, like, business-wise, there it is. Dad to son Alleyoop in an NBA game.
Starting point is 00:40:38 Cool. You did it. All right. Now let me make sure he has a contract and I will leave. And now I'm done. Business. Good day.
Starting point is 00:40:44 But I feel like. like there should be a job. Like the way that a baseball movie will have somebody on set whose job it is to be like, okay, so I've played baseball. Oh, accuracy coordinator. And so it's not called playing throw. It's playing catch. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:00 Okay. Let's write that down. So the guy up on the little dirt hill. Yeah. Dirt hill thrower. That's, so he's called a pitcher. Ah, pitcher. He's not wearing catchers.
Starting point is 00:41:11 The catcher's mask. That guy doesn't wear it? He doesn't wear it. And he went, those go on the face. It's not the butt of the hill thrower? Yeah, yeah. The hill thrower. I'm telling you, I saw a pitcher.
Starting point is 00:41:20 I saw a pitcher last week where the dude had it on his butt. Like, am I tripping? Wait, so who's the squatty man? Squatty man is catcher. Ah, okay. So just that level of common sense and having like existed in the context of the world that you were trying to exist inside of LeBron James. So here's the world that you're going to exist in.
Starting point is 00:41:44 people, when they see this at, they're going to have a couple questions. Okay. They're going to say, why do you need this money? Yes. Because you need more? And do you know that this is the company
Starting point is 00:41:57 that accepts bets from the Trump administration on whether the Trump administration is going to bomb a school of girls? Sure, sure, sure, sure. So that's probably not. But just somebody who's like makes less than, you know, $150,000 a year and can't be overruled. Yeah, I mean, even in this economy, that's probably a regular. It's a regular job.
Starting point is 00:42:20 It's a regular job. Yeah, but I get what you mean. Someone who has bills. Yeah, that guy at some point was in his orb because during the like Kendrick pop out last Juneteenth, somebody probably grabbed his arm and says, do not go on that stage. When everybody got on the stage and it was having a beautiful moment for the West Coast, somebody, maybe it was his wife that was like, uh, uh, uh, uh. Stay right here.
Starting point is 00:42:44 You know what I'm saying? Somebody told him. You know who might have been. You could see it in his face. They're like, I really want to go up there. It might have been his manager being like, we don't want to ruin the Drake potential here.
Starting point is 00:42:53 Let's just stay. Let's stay back. And he's right back to posting Drake videos in his stories. Sometimes, you know, you will get good advice from the wrong source. I think he at the time he was riding the right wave, which was it was Kendrick Summer. You have to be here.
Starting point is 00:43:07 In L. In L. Lakers, you're on the Lakers. You are out of respect. You are mandated to be there. Now, do you go on the stage? No. No.
Starting point is 00:43:16 But you know where to be. Exactly. That's what I was like, somebody in that moment, the broken clock and all, somebody, he got the right piece of knowledge. Like, do not. Yeah, like he had like red flags coming out of his jeans and shit. They're like, whoa, whoa, whoa, what are you doing? What are you doing? He's like, no, soo.
Starting point is 00:43:35 No, that's what you say, right? Take off that Houston Astros hat. What? Are you okay? My man. stay right here doc yeah yeah do not put that Astros head on
Starting point is 00:43:45 do not put that Astros hat on yes the ad is such a bad look that a Sydney Sweeney ad just ran where she is the spokesperson you having trouble describes sorry guys
Starting point is 00:43:59 sorry there's something going on with her body or something her skin's like on or something she's advocating on behalf of Novig which is just sports and the subtext of the ad is that polymarket is so obviously evil that like we only
Starting point is 00:44:21 take ad bets on sports so it's like that that's a tough look when sydney swiney's coming sydney who's like just her politics the pure genes lady yes yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah coming out and being like you know doing a better job politically than you are with her. Yeah, I think that the roots change the album cover to Phrenology that album, which is her on. It's just measuring a person's head.
Starting point is 00:44:49 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Physiognomy is her lead single off that. I mean, yeah, this ad is wild. Like, in that, it's just, it feels like a distillation of, like, the hypersexualized market of the 90s. It's like, obviously, we were exposed to, like, the most hypersexual at the time ads.
Starting point is 00:45:05 Harris Hilton, watching a car with hamburger. Yeah, hamburger. Yeah. Even herbal essences, the women were like, yes! Like they were coming off to shampoo and shit. That shit was too subtle. Yeah, yeah. Way too subtle.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Yeah, way too subtle. This is for, get to it. For like, all intents and purposes, what the internet thinks is, like, the hottest woman right now, being butt naked, barely covering her body with, like, footballs or athletic equipment. Yeah. It's like, this is what it is. It's the DeAngelo's Untitled How Does It Feel Video for Gooners who are Gen Z gamblers. Yeah, sure. Because every time you're like, dad.
Starting point is 00:45:39 Damn, bro. These are some angles. Yeah. Yeah. Get to it. Yeah, they were just like, let's just get to it. Like, what are we doing?
Starting point is 00:45:46 Let's just. How does it feel? Dude, I remember this girl's day at the time. She used to like, it was her running joke. She would go up to the TV and look down. Everybody did. She's like, oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:57 And I was joking. I was like, that's how the Sydney Sweeney video is going to have people being like. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What's going on? Turn on. Stop, stop, stop, stop.
Starting point is 00:46:05 Yeah. Yep. Yep. That's what it is. Yeah. I mean, she does make a. good point though too because she really leans into the no politics thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:13 They literally have a line in the ad where she says no betting on wars or death and no politics. And really hits politics and no politics. We get you, honey. We get it because your politics are terrible. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Now 13 year old guys who like to jack off to their phone. That's what I think. What about sports
Starting point is 00:46:33 betting? Is this an ad? A new way to be addicted to your phone. Right. Yeah. I feel like this ad is enough to get people attention that if you are gambling online a ton, you go, oh, what's this? Yeah. But this video, I feel like is the kind of thing that the little boys who have little cable descrambleer eyes for porno. Yeah. They don't need anymore.
Starting point is 00:46:54 They don't need anymore. Think about the poor kids who were born with that gift. Yeah. And don't got to use it. Atrophying that ability. Never got to use it. That they see this. And I'm sure this is going to be a seminal ad for people who are coming of age, their
Starting point is 00:47:07 brains sexually coming out. And coming in the sentence. Seminole. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, you went for it that time. Vast deference. There's going to be a vast difference between who they were before they saw this seminal end. Shut it down.
Starting point is 00:47:24 We did it. We did it, guys. Someone would say it's an epidemic of sexual ads. It's an epididimis of sexual ads. I don't even know that part. Oh, yeah. I remember all the weird ball parts of it were. But I feel like that is the kind of thing that I feel like you can,
Starting point is 00:47:38 also puts yourself in front of kids who are not gambling yet. Yeah. And they're in like, you know, they're like, oh, what the fuck is this? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:46 We used to go on Mr. skin.com to see shit like this. Yeah. It's crazy. A way to be addicted to your phone during your refractory period. You know? Exactly. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:47:57 Yeah, it sucks because it's just like, it's those moments to where like you're looking at your staunchly conservative. And that's just like, they're just going too far with this. And you're just like, yeah. I mean, it is pretty lowest common denominator.
Starting point is 00:48:13 It's pretty basic. And she's just like holding her boobs, like footballs in front. And she's going sports. Then her in a hockey university or jersey going sports. There's just her going sports in different positions. And it's just like naked girl in sports. Yeah. Like just say it's very idiocracy coded.
Starting point is 00:48:30 Yeah. And these would be the commercials of 2026. Nude woman sports, sports, sports, sports, sports, noob. And again, for that ad, to be. be the ad that is taking the moral high road over the LeBron ad. Right. It's really. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:48:46 It's a tough break. It's a tough look. It's a lot. It's a lot. Hey, it's a complicated, complicated times, right?
Starting point is 00:48:51 Speaking of complicated times, let's talk about the Ignobels. Ignobells. This is, so we all know about the Nobel Peace Prize and the Nobel Prize for scientific achievement. I'm following it every day. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:49:03 who's in the lead? They don't have that. They don't have that on Novig, do they? Yeah. Just, You just really lost a whole market there, Sydney. But we all know about the traditional Nobel Prize.
Starting point is 00:49:13 But what about the other very real fields of scientific research that look into stuff like cockroach milk? Or why parents think their babies smell good. But once they become teens, are revolting shitbacks. Well, there are awards for that. They're called the Ig Nobel's. Very Real Awards for Very Real Scientists. So, yeah, this is the thing. very real sign. Like actual Nobel winners themselves
Starting point is 00:49:36 bestowed upon very real scientific research breakthroughs, just a little dumb. Early days of the internet, I had these confused with the Darwin Awards, which are the awards for... Did they give out Darwin Awards? No, it's just like an unofficial thing. But Ig Nobel is actually looking at real scientific
Starting point is 00:49:52 research. One of legitimate research. Yeah. And sometimes the shit's interesting. It's very interesting. Sometimes it's like, I'm not here to hate on it. Like this is actually... I don't remember the name of it, but there's there is another like scientific awards where it's like when you did this research we all thought it was stupid but then it turns out to be something we really really retroactive flowers yeah i forget
Starting point is 00:50:14 what it's called but it's the the person that studied the screw worm oh really that figured out like oh well it's killing all of our but it's a forget exactly what it's called but it's a type of like where like everybody thought your research was dumb right and a waste of money and then 10 years later save the world wow yeah i like that well these might be these might be For that. I don't know. Well, they are recognizing them. Many different fields like biomechanics, economics, physics, you name it.
Starting point is 00:50:41 For example, just like some of the awards that get out. In biomechanics, the winners did excruciating research on what a kiss even is. And if they are like, if their roots can be traced back to nature, if this is a thing that's wholly human, this definition of a kiss, if you want your partner to get horny. Oh, why don't you describe a kiss like this, quote, non-agnostic. interactions involving directed introspecific oral oral contact with some movement of the lips slash mouth parts and no food transfer. There's a key point at the end of it. Yep. Yep. There is. No food transfer. No food transfer. I think exactly. Not the way I kiss.
Starting point is 00:51:19 Really, you should just floss. And you won't be kissing like dinner. Just floss before kissing and there will be no food transfer. Mouth parts is gross. Mouth parts is an awful phrase. To drop in and acknowledge that mouth parts is gross. What they found was just essentially like some apes do it, but there's not a, enough to really figure it out. But there are some moments of apes kids. I think there was interesting research suggesting that it was like a, like, we were case testing
Starting point is 00:51:42 each other's genes to like figure out if there, if it was a good like match at some like genetic level. Yeah. But not these days. I still think that there has to be things about just that, you know, that's just lost in history about the human experience that somebody just thought it was rad. Yeah. Like some like homo erectus was just like, what if I just did this?
Starting point is 00:52:00 Just loosed up in the cave. Like, yeah. Hey, hey, hey, come here, Mom. Come here. Yeah. I want to show you something new. I want to show you something new. I'm going to show you.
Starting point is 00:52:08 He better be French. He better be French. He better be from that French cage. Like, you know, like some of the things that we've probably written, you know, volumes of books on was just like, oh, that's just car. He was messing around. Yeah. I mean, it's like, we haven't took off. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:52:22 Everybody liked it. So he just left it up. Carl was always like, come here. Yeah, right, right. And at first you're like, bro, this kind of weird. Stop. And then we're kind of into it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:29 Yeah. That's how I found my wife. I was like, you know. The economics one may be the least surprising result in the history of a scientific experiment. Yeah. There they wondered if wealthy people are just a tainty bit more unethical than regular poor people. This from the Arcechnica right above it said, To find out the authors conducted seven related studies to examine the issue from multiple angles.
Starting point is 00:52:49 For example, one field study assessed whether upper class drivers, as a judge by the type of car driven, were more or less likely to cut off other vehicles at busy four-way intersections. Now, this one's crazy because really rich people don't really have anywhere to. go very fast a lot of the room. They're not like going to their second job of the day. And if they don't get there on time, they're going to be fired. So I was like, they're kind of stacking the dead. I got to get to Equinox.
Starting point is 00:53:12 Motherfucker, and Arawan after that. Another one looked at whether such drivers were more likely to cut off pedestrians at a crosswalk. And another studied whether subjects in a lab-based setting were more or less likely to help themselves to wrapped candies intended for children
Starting point is 00:53:27 in another lab. That's the pure. That one is so pure. a baby. It's taking candy intended for children. That's real dirtbag shit. Again and again, the upper class participants proved more likely and willing to engage in various kinds of unethical activity, whether
Starting point is 00:53:43 it be cutting off cars or pedestrians, taking candy from babies, or lying about their scores in a series of random dice rolls. Now they are like being like, look, this is obviously there's a correlation because there's also problematic things. They're like, well, there's more crime and people are poor. Right. Yeah. And they're like, they're clear
Starting point is 00:53:59 to be like, this is, that's not what we're talking to say. Because they also found people who were wealthy and altruistic. Sure. Yeah. But they're also like, but a lot of these motherfuckers were definitely more into this shit than most. It's probably like, let me get these scientists notes, right? So like, I think it's the term unethical because like my argument is always like,
Starting point is 00:54:20 you're more self-centered. And like that, like, I feel like the more wealthy you are, the more you believe that the universe revolves around you. So it's like, they don't even see this as like a moral. decision. It's just that I'm not even considering another person. Do you know what I'm saying? Like, you haven't crossed my mind. Yeah. You know what I'm not selfish. It's just never occurs to me to think about other people. Yeah, exactly. That's what I'm saying. So it's like, I don't know if this is right or wrong. Yeah. And that's their sort of somewhat their conclusion is that quote, the pursuit of self-interest is a more
Starting point is 00:54:50 fundamental motive among society's elite. Right. So I mean, that is the like next study is, Is it that you become rich and you, like, sort of lose because that's just the mode of that. Like, that's how that part of the society has been built to not get any funny ideas about, like, wealth transfer. You know, they're all, like, busy self-justifying it. Or is it that being self-centered and willing to steal candy from a baby makes you more likely to be rich? That is the, that's a signal. Yeah. So you got to start testing babies and then children.
Starting point is 00:55:30 Do you already have a longitudinal study of assholery? Right, right, right. And how did you do financially? Do you have a biological, like, predisposition, right? Proclivity to be selfish. When they accepted the ward, their research said their next study is, how about we smack the shit out of you? That's exactly. We'll see how that one goes.
Starting point is 00:55:50 Then there's another one. This is funny in chemistry. They just, I said cockroach milk because it's a real thing. I did not like ever since you put this in the dock, I have not been able to stop thinking about this. I do not. I do not like it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:02 Honestly, that might be their, that might be the edge. This might be their Barry Bonds, HG, like, why are they still so potent in this age? Why will they outlast us?
Starting point is 00:56:11 Yeah. Because they have insanely nutrient dense milk. Like, yes. If we want to like really be healthy in the future, in the apocalypse, we just need to be getting down and like scraping. Milk in these roaches.
Starting point is 00:56:22 Milking roaches and drinking roaches. Listen, one of the number one causes to greenhouse gases is cows. And we're running out of land. That's why that's deforestation. And it's just like, now think about how many cockroaches you can get in a cow. So like just pure surface area, it's better for the climate. I will just, this is a bit disappointing. It's not the kind of milk we are thinking.
Starting point is 00:56:47 So this is again from this write-up quote. There is a bit of yoke in the earliest stages, which the embryos use until they develop throat muscles. gut. Yeah. Yolk. Can I get, can I eat your cockroach yokes? You're just going to have your cockroach whites and I'll have that roach yoke. Roach yoke.
Starting point is 00:57:03 Oh, no. At which point, they gorts. So then when they develop the throat muscles and gut, they gorge themselves on a protein rich liquid milk secreted by the brood sack. Ah. The brood's sack. And now I'm back. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:20 I'm back on board. Wow. Once ingested, the liquid milk crystallizes in the gut. They found that just one roach embryo crystal contained more than three times the energy of an equivalent amount of dairy milk. To the roaches. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:33 It wouldn't transfer it off. Well, what do you mean? We don't know. Like, can you drive the per size, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I guess we don't know, I don't know if we need the same nutrients roaches need. Yeah, that would be the next thing.
Starting point is 00:57:44 Yeah, yeah, yeah. You might turn into a roach. Okay. And then you could finally be like your favorite movie, Joe's apartment, an MTV movie from the mid-90s. Oh, wow. Great movie. But they said, because of it's tightly packed
Starting point is 00:57:53 crystalline lattice structure, which allows a higher concentration of food to be stored. Quote, this unique storage form of nourishment for developing embryos allows access to a constant supply of complete nutrients. But this is the one I'm really interested. That's my Sydney, Sweeney. Roach milk. It's what's for dinner.
Starting point is 00:58:11 In the field of physics, this is one, I think, this is something, this Shrodomer joint, penis havers who have had to piss out of urine, all know this experience. Yes. The piss is going everywhere. Blastin everywhere. When I piss out of my penis at a urinal, it's gone everywhere.
Starting point is 00:58:28 This guy definitely penises. So they tried to decode the best urinal design to reduce piss splash. Like all with all kinds of angles, mathematic models, what the angle, the velocity of urine streams happened. The image of this. Yeah, it's crazy. Like they were in the lab being like, no, bro, we got to fucking solve this. How do you piss into a urinal that will not just make it look like you had a light Jackson Pollock on the front of your khakis.
Starting point is 00:58:56 According to the authors, the key to optimal splash-free urinal design is the angle at which the P-stream strikes the porcelain surface. Sure. Get a small enough angle, and there won't be any splashback. Instead, you get a smooth flow across the surface,
Starting point is 00:59:10 preventing droplets from flying out. And they say, yes, there is a critical threshold at which the urine stream switches from splashing to flowing smoothly. That must have been like such a light bulb moment. We're like, we've converted it. The piss has gone from. Yeah, we found the crisp smooth flow.
Starting point is 00:59:26 Yeah, it's here. We hit the access. Turns out that dogs have already figured out the optimal angle as they lift their legs to pee. That's why. And when the team modeled this on a computer, they pegged the optimal angle for humans at 30 degrees. By learning from our dog brothers? I also feel like none of y'all got like sisters that complained about the toilet. Like, you don't know how to, I feel like you should.
Starting point is 00:59:50 Everyone knows that to pee in a toilet. I mean, what this presupposes is, what about a urinal? What about a urinal? Yeah. I just feel like, I just, maybe I'm just thinking as a grown man, you probably figured this out. Well, it's not to say that. Okay. Maybe I'm giving the wrong impression.
Starting point is 01:00:07 I don't go to a urinal and I'm like, I'm like, this fire hose is out of control. It's just that. Sometimes it happens. When you got squid game over here. You're screaming. Things are going to get messy. Oh shit Squid game head ass
Starting point is 01:00:24 I love it No I I actually vibe with the science Think about the different things We used to have There was one
Starting point is 01:00:32 That first they were printing stuff On the urinal Like you know Some girls have that little B Yeah yeah That was just to get people To stop pissing all over a year Sure sure
Starting point is 01:00:40 Then they got those little mats That had like the little Like sort of like Tendrils on top Yeah Yeah yeah yeah Like a astral turf Oh yeah yeah
Starting point is 01:00:47 Yeah That you pee That still gets urinal cubes. That's flashy. That's flashy. That's why they're like, have you ever done the one
Starting point is 01:00:55 that has a little soccer ball hanging in the soccer goal? No. That one's actually fun. Where's that one? And I think I didn't get any splash. I got, I did that one at the USS
Starting point is 01:01:05 Midway. Oh. When I took my son for our cash dollars are going. Exactly. They figured that a soccer piss over there. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:13 But I guess, but I mean, then there's the ice in the toilet at the bar. Yes. You know, there's that. That's easy,
Starting point is 01:01:17 but that's just because you got to get rid of ice. Yeah. I think that works. I think it helps. Because it's melting. It's going. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:24 What also you're, I think, because those things all saw the thing of like, bro, why are dude just pissing all over the urine? Sure. Piss in the fucking urinal. Yeah. And now we're being like, now there's no excuse. Piss in there. We're going to convert the splash to a smooth flow.
Starting point is 01:01:37 So if you describe to the listeners what the, what the crit threshold one, the one that found critical threshold looks like. Okay. So again, they said, okay, now we know the angle. Now how do we design? the optimal urinal. The next, this is from our technique,
Starting point is 01:01:52 I quote, the next step was to figure out a design that would offer that optimal urine stream angle across a wide range of heights. That's what I was going to say, okay,
Starting point is 01:02:00 height is important. Like heights and distance. Some of y'all just got no home training. When I'm trying to school in the urinal that's low. Oh yeah. You're taking a knee like cap. My shins are getting a little splashback.
Starting point is 01:02:10 It's not good. Yeah. They're like, man, this dude takes it. He looked like Nancy Pelosi. The summer of 2020 taking a knee like that of this urinal.
Starting point is 01:02:17 We are pulling some, some refus. It's 20, 2020. In the Kinti cloth. You put the fist up too. You're like, what the fuck is he doing? Please, someone make that. Somebody make that.
Starting point is 01:02:29 But also peeing at his shirt. We're in the Nike cap jersey when they sold the black one for him. Okay, so what they did, instead of the usual shallow box shape like a rectangle, they landed on the curved structure of the Nautilus shell. They conducted simulated urine stream experiments with the prototypes. et voila. They didn't observe a single droplet splashing back by comparison the other urinal designs
Starting point is 01:02:53 produced as much as 50 times more splashback. They're watching so many guys take a piss for this. They must have had at that point, like they've figured out like a simulated urethro. All right. I still think to. You're like, oh, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:08 I just think the corny. I try to get that gig. They book someone else. I just think it would fun, it'd be fun to pee into the cornucopia one. Yeah. So the cornucopia one they tried to do, but they realized that didn't offer enough scale for heights. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:23 The Cornucopia worked for taller people. Yeah. But then if you, if you're shorter. Short kings. Yeah, yeah, you might have to. You might have to lay your bag on the edge. Yeah. Oh, all right.
Starting point is 01:03:35 I could have said other words. Yeah, you could have. Yeah, I know, but I'm just thinking just the rash. We all know. We all know. Dang. Oh, dang. You're going to the urinal rash.
Starting point is 01:03:45 Yeah. A bad rash. Yeah. Please go to the doctor. I keep saying this. It's bag rash. It's bad rash. This is for the urinal.
Starting point is 01:03:53 It's fine. Yeah, I wish this was the one that was going to stick with me the most, but unfortunately it is cockaroach milk. That's one for your kids. You know what I mean? That's the kind of shit that would blow a child's mind.
Starting point is 01:04:04 Yeah. Dude. Fucking dairy milk. A roach milk. But then that makes them resent anything having to do with nutrients. If I'm like, the most nutrient dense thing, well, let me tell you about it. Or you get it.
Starting point is 01:04:16 That's something they should use to tell people to fuck off about nutrition. Be like, why don't you just feed me roach milk that asshole? You could threaten them, though. You could threaten them. It's like, hey, honey, like, I'm trying to give you these carrots. I'm trying to delicious nutrition. This is good because your other option is cockroach milk. If you won't eat these peas.
Starting point is 01:04:33 Snowpiercer, just show them snow piercer. Yeah, I got to figure out something else. I got to get the vegetables into you. My mom used to say to us whenever we complain about our meals, she would be like, the rule in our house was you eat what we made you. I don't understand the question. And then one day she was just, we was talking about it. She was like, man, you don't know what we, you don't know what I feed you. Are you in here, are you in here watching me cook?
Starting point is 01:04:56 You know, it could be roly-poly's in this thing. You don't know, you're going to eat it too. Right. And I was like, God damn it. Yeah. When it's low and slow, I can barely taste the exoskeletes. It's basically, you know what I'm saying? One meal a year, I put a little bit of pee in your meal, just a little bit.
Starting point is 01:05:13 Just so you know. Yeah. But yeah, no, actually, I think it might be on to something. You could tell the little one's like, listen, this isparagus. It's either asparagus or cockroaches. My kid loves asparagus. So does mine. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:26 It's weird, man. What does happen? We found a home run here, man. It's crazy. Yeah. They just like it. It really like the strength of the flavor and everything. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:34 He loves veggies and doesn't like cheese. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She likes fresh bell peppers so I could just chop the bell pepper. Oh, wow. Oh, that's great. Yeah, yeah. This is a little snap to it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:43 But like a little lemon, a little, uh, garlic salt on the on the bell pepper. Not on the bell pepper on the asparagus. Kind of grilled it up. Yeah. Kills it. I just want to say there were two other ones that were kind of interesting. One was about like, why do babies smell so good to us?
Starting point is 01:05:57 And they're like, it makes sense because it's still also about like just the connection you have with a baby and like because they're dependent on you. And how come when they get older, you're like, man, get the stinky motherfucker. Yeah, yeah. I'm not there yet. So I'm interested. And that happens because, again, if there's just something about as the children gain more independence, that connection begins to sever a bit.
Starting point is 01:06:17 It's a kick their ass out. So they don't have failure to launch. But they do say, but when it comes to stinky kids, you will still prefer your own stinky kid to do some random motherfucker stinky kid. Absolutely. That makes sense. Having been in all of your stages, except that mine's a girl, you know what I'm saying? I can like 100% hard agree.
Starting point is 01:06:35 You're absolutely correct. There is a time where you just like, baby, if you don't get in this shower. You know what I'm saying? I love you with all my heart. Are you friends actually your friends? Exactly, but how could, and then you get nervous because you're just like, I wonder what they're saying about you. Yeah, yeah. You're like, you're not thinking kid, right?
Starting point is 01:06:52 But then you smell the friend and you're like, oh, shit. Oh, actually, you're, we're doing all right. That motherfucker is stupid. I will tell you this to like, which is coming, an underreported era for the girl dad is the era where your, your daughter is just doing various armed movements of choreographies. as you walk through the grocery store. Yeah, yeah. So just, just is the little preteen behind you just working on some sort of, like TikTok dance or like, she, like, it's a song going on.
Starting point is 01:07:25 It's some, it's a K-pop song going on in her brain. And she got a routine. Is she good with dancing just like how we would just kind of get down vibe with music and just dance for your own pleasure? It's routines. Because that's what I think a lot of people. These kids are doing routines. A lot of, and both my daughters, like at different times, it's routines.
Starting point is 01:07:43 It's interesting. too because I see a lot of people just think about like, you're like, wow, millennials just where I go and fucking not give a fuck dancing in public like that. And I'm like, I see y'all dancing too, but I'm like, oh, there's a routine. So at least in your mind, you're like, I have to if I hit the routine, then I'm dancing.
Starting point is 01:07:57 Yes, that's, and if I'm doing a sloppy, maybe it's a bit or whatever when we were just like, oh, I don't know. No, I'm getting, yeah. Throw it back. You haven't learned the steps yet. What are you doing? No, no, we're vivant. We were just weird as fuck.
Starting point is 01:08:09 Yeah, and it was like there were dances that had names, but it was almost like those dudes were doing too, much. The guy that gets in a circle and his Dougie is perfect. You're just like relax bro. And we're not even the teaching how to Douggy didn't come on. It's not even song we're playing right now. Just like enjoy yourself. Two step. Anyway, what the fuck? He's got like a
Starting point is 01:08:25 smile frozen like a cheerleader. Yeah, yeah. What do you do? A lithium by Nirvana is playing right. Yeah, it's not really. Yeah, like yeah, bring it on. It's not real. Like that's not really what the club was like. Can see you counting through your gridded teeth. Right. Six, seven, eight, and one, two, three.
Starting point is 01:08:43 We should take a quick break. We'll come back. We're going to talk about South Park. We'll be right back. You've heard the chaos. Now you can see it. Hello. My gosh.

Starting point is 01:13:48 We're going way long on this one, ma'am. Hell yeah. Is it worth it? Is it worth it? Let's find out. I just saw a clip of somebody having their. mind blown because, like, if you listen, when she goes, I'll put my thing down, flip it and reverse it. You're from in the plant, nap, they're like, it's her saying flip it
Starting point is 01:14:06 and reverse it. And they're like, yeah, no shit. Yeah, that's the concept. There's like this whole clip with these like white boys listen to them. They're like, what? Back ones, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I will say for the first like five years of my life, I was just like, that's cool that she's just like, making weird mouth sounds. Yeah. You can't plant the amp. Very dada. I'm not going to lie either. At the time, I was still spinning vinyl,
Starting point is 01:14:30 so I just went like this. Yeah, you just rip it around. I was like, yeah, yeah, I knew that. Right there on the record. Yeah, whatever, dork. Anyway, putting a thing down flipping and reverse it. Let's talk about South Park. Yes.
Starting point is 01:14:42 Which continues to say, fuck Trump in creative ways. Yeah. You know, we, it's, they're not on the Robert De Niro thing. Robert De Niro is still stuck at the just saying fuck Trump. everywhere he goes. You know this guy, fuck Trump. Hey,
Starting point is 01:14:57 fuck you. South Park's finding a new ways. Look, I remember at the beginning of this season or right as Trump entered office, right, we had that one clip when he was butt naked in bed with Satan and then they ended with him dragging his naked ass through the desert. And everyone's like, oh my God. Yeah. Is he going to like destroy Paramount?
Starting point is 01:15:15 He didn't. And now he seems to have done quite the opposite. Yeah, yeah. He seems pretty cool with Paramount. Yeah, he's raw-wrying it. So now fresh off. their Emmy win because South Park just picked up an Emmy over the weekend. They're just
Starting point is 01:15:26 continuing the troll moves. This is from the BBC quote, the creators of South Park, the animated TV show, thank you, have announced that its new series will be named South America in an apparent reference to U.S. President Donald Trump's attempts to rename a lake and a gulf. And let's not forget
Starting point is 01:15:42 a state too. Because he tried to get New Mexico to be New America and they said, get the fuck out of my face. No. New America. Quote, and this is the best part about this quote. It's inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google. We are changing the name of South Park to South America.
Starting point is 01:15:59 We especially want to thank our parent company, Paramount, a sky dance capitulation. Listen, it's like with them, it's like we gave the right people money. Like when someone gets wealthy, this how you post act when you get that. When you get fuck off money, you're supposed to be like fuck off. Yeah, also, yeah, exactly. That's what they did. You know what I'm saying? So I'm like,
Starting point is 01:16:24 we made the right people famous with this one. That works. I like that. It would have been very easy to see Cartman in that poly, polymarket out of the background. Yeah, yeah, 100%. I mean, the New America, great.
Starting point is 01:16:40 It's interesting because they're doubling down. So that would make like New Mexico the main state, you know? Like if they're like, this is New America. Like it suggests it's like the future of America. You got to change New York. You got to change New Hampshire. Yeah, yeah. You got to change so many stuff.
Starting point is 01:16:55 And also, like, I still don't, I still, part of me still believes that he don't understand that America is the name of the continent. Right. Like, that's not the name of our country. It's the continent. So, like, you're not really changing. Yeah. They've tried to explain that to him, but it's not going to work. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:11 I mean, it would be funny. Why don't they just call fucking New Mexico, old Mexico? Right. Just called Texas North Mexico. Yeah. Which is what it is. That would fucking piss him off. Yeah, I don't think he would like.
Starting point is 01:17:21 That would be amazing. Yeah, I guess Gavin Newsom could call it. No, he would never call this place, California. Yeah, northern. But just, yeah, troll move. I think Kami-Fornia would be good. Yeah, but Gavin Newsom would do it in a way that is just that sort of like center left, laughing at people version too. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:17:40 He's like, we can all agree. This place is kind of like Kami-Fornia. Right. They won't even let me give the, let the utilities off with paying people for pain and suffering from the fires. They start. Weird place. Anyways, prop, such a pleasure of having you.
Starting point is 01:17:53 It's so fun being here. Yeah, it's great to be in person, isn't it? Yeah, man. Really made it. Where can people find, do you, follow you, hear you all that. Yeah, dude.
Starting point is 01:18:02 PropHipop.com is all the stuff. Politics for Prop is the pod. I put out a lot of music recently. So there's a bunch of new Iraq. You sound confused by it. Yeah, I was just like, man. I guess I just, I'm on a street, I don't know what I just do.
Starting point is 01:18:21 Just barring out here. Yeah. So, and then also, like, I, I spoke at this, like, middle school in Pasadena a couple months ago. And this kid goes, hey, I don't have, like, Spotify or nothing. Do you guys have CDs? And I was like, I'm sorry, what? What the fuck? He was like, yeah, I just, I like physical music.
Starting point is 01:18:41 I was like, as a matter of fact, I do. So, like, so, now there are CDs and vinyl on the website, you know what I'm saying? It was like, eighth grader was like, yeah, I don't have like Spotify or nothing. Yeah. Yeah. And I was like, let's go. I know. Like, he is going to be all right.
Starting point is 01:18:57 I know. I'm like, they're like, you want to do it in the ways of the old? Yeah. Yes. You honor the old gods? Yeah. The old ways. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:06 Yeah. Yeah. So, uh, yeah, so there's that. Nice. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You got.
Starting point is 01:19:11 Oh, there's cold brew. There's a, there's new cold brew. It's called the Limonegra. Uh, if you had an honor Palmer, it's like an Arnold Palmer just with coffee. and it's like delicious. I can't believe that works. It doesn't seem like it would. It doesn't seem like it would, but then you taste it.
Starting point is 01:19:26 It's delicious. This is phenomenal. Yeah. Is there a work media you've been enjoying it? Yeah, man, I wanted to do something funny, but like the reality is like what's got me on my neck is two hip-hop records. One is Rhapsody's album. It's just, it's called God Got an Afro and Go hoops.
Starting point is 01:19:44 and it's just as the father of a black child, you know, black daughter, I feel like I've been put, I've been catechizing this little girl with this record. It is just so good. She has, she's got an anti-capitalist song. She got like, she's talking about culture, vultures. It's flavor.
Starting point is 01:20:08 It's very African and like influence. It's just like, it got me by my neck. And then the other one is, is diligence too, which is Jay Dilla and Buster Rhymes. For you listeners, Jay Dilla, as far as we're concerned, is like walks on water, passed away Bono of like production.
Starting point is 01:20:26 Every producer you like. Every producer you like. Your favorite producer is favorite producer. Yes, yes. That dude's source code is J Dilla. And apparently died in 2008. Six, died in 2006. And Buster Rhymes has been sitting on,
Starting point is 01:20:42 he said he had 300 beats. He had been sitting on beats since 2006. Wow. So then he finally put the record out. And it's like, like rap, like rap. Like he rapping. Yeah. So both of those records just locked my soul up right now.
Starting point is 01:21:01 Yeah. I mean, because also think a lot of people don't really, like, a lot of people like, why are they worked together? It's like Dilla has made some of Buster Rhymes, like, seminal songs. Yeah. Wooha. That's Dill. We were introduced to Buster Rhymes. It was Jay Dilabit.
Starting point is 01:21:13 Yeah, yeah, yeah. So when you really add it all up, you're like, yes, yes, yes. Their chemistry was insane. There's even an interlude on the record where they're inter, it's like, it's a, you could tell by the pitch of his voice, it's a young Kendrick. So it's a young Kendrick Amar and he's like, in this little interlude, he goes, which, what's your favorite Dilabe? What's up?
Starting point is 01:21:31 Man, if I can do it. I don't think I can do it a young Kendrick. But like, it's like section 80 era. Right. Oh, okay. Right. So he's like, what's your favorite, what's your favorite, what's your favorite, what's your favorite Dillaby?
Starting point is 01:21:40 He goes, anything with Busta. He was like, that's my favorite. Anything they did together, it's just the way that he attacked, you know, Dilla's Beats, which is different than everybody else, anything with Buster. And it's just like, yeah. Yeah, you're right. You know what I'm saying? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:54 Amazing. Miles, where can people find you? Is there a working media you've been enjoying? Find me everywhere at Miles of Gray. I'm talking about soccer, the Premier League, on Aina Footy with Jamel Johnson and Chris Martin every week. Please subscribe to that show because that's how you're going to find new episodes every week. And shout out to everybody that's been subscribing. and reviewing the show. I really appreciate it.
Starting point is 01:22:14 Also, I'm talking about 90-day fiancé, as usual, on 420-day fiancé. A work of media I like. Wow. Let me see. Wow, wow, wow. It might be the same thing as my song. Because a lot of the times I end up catching shit. Oh, no, it's this one. This is from at Moldoga. It says if a South African woman was playing, was your sleep paralysis demon?
Starting point is 01:22:38 Oh, no. Just killing me with this accent work. of Ellis's team. I need you to go to sleep. It's not my fault you're not so on the sleep. You're on your phone or not. You need to put that fine away before I say it. I can't believe you're still awake.
Starting point is 01:22:51 I can't believe. Oh, no. Oh, no. I love accent. Yes, that's San African. Yeah. It's a Dutch Africaner, bro. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:03 Oh, yeah. Amazing. You can find me on Twitter. Jack underscore Brian, Blue Sky. Jack O. B the number one. Instagram, Jack, O, underscore Brian. I've liked a couple tweets. Martin Pilgrim tweeted,
Starting point is 01:23:15 the hardest part of being an art thief must be getting your entire crew to agree on what constitutes art. And then Hope Hopes, hoping, tweeted, personally, I am not really impressed when a computer is good at math, since a computer is math. I'm a lot more intrigued by things like,
Starting point is 01:23:33 for example, a rat being an exceptional cook, since that's not really accepted. expect you can find us on Twitter on Blue Sky at Daily Zykeyes. We're at The Daily Zykeyes on Instagram. Starting point is 01:23:59 I think you're going to like this one. Miles, before you give him the song, I just want to give a shout out to Jack's Mouse. Oh, thank you. That's respect. That's cool. Respect. Logitech, I believe. Respect.
Starting point is 01:24:12 Thank you. Using a mouse, man. For a second, I think I'm going to say that. He had a rat on his head telling him hard to say, like, Ratatooie. Shout it to Jack's mouse that's actually been hosting for the last nine years. I'm just telling my hair. Each hair is a different word. You used to say the Daily Zikeis, but it yanks your hair so hard you scream it with a German accent.
Starting point is 01:24:34 This track I like, again, I love that. Somehow, the Instagram algorithm has done a very good job of putting me on to new musicians. Thank you, Mark Zuckerberg. This is a singer-songwriter Jesse Mazen. She's, dude, her voice is so smooth. It reminds me of Haley Williams. Okay. It's just got that thing that somehow I'm like, this isn't usually the music I listen to,
Starting point is 01:24:58 but her voice, the way she sings is so good and smooth. Yeah. Like it kind of like half yodaly, just got this really amazing control of her own voice. this song is called The Precipice and it's the live version from her medium-sized backyard performance she has this on like all the platforms so you can check it out there
Starting point is 01:25:16 but she also has a song like called The Man with Money in his hands and it's just all about like how like the elite are just killing the world and she's like she's like oh the only way to listen is if we got the gun pointed at him and I'm like I'm like damn you got arranged Jesse go so check it out
Starting point is 01:25:31 I'm sure a lot of you probably on her because she has a huge swallowing already this is the first time I've heard of her and I think it's Very pleasant surprise. So this is The Precipice by Jesse Mays. Precipice. All right. Well, we will link off to that in the foot notes.
