Wow, look on the bright side, man. Yeah, look on the bright. Yeah, yeah. I was talking about this morning is like, I get it. Every time I have this conversation, there's always some need for the person I'm talking to to be like, well, it's just so great that at least you guys are all safe.
Starting point is 00:00:57 And you're like, shut the fuck up. Otherwise, I'd be dead. I'm glad you're not. That's actually how I like to kind of interject myself into any conversation. Hey, I just want to let you know, I'm glad you're not dead. And you should be as well. I was just talking about- Thank you.
Starting point is 00:01:16 That's been my time. As a Mavs fan, I didn't like the Luka trade. Well, at least you're not dead. I'm Tomer Cohen, LinkedIn's Chief Product Officer. If you're just as curious as I am about the way things are built, then tune into my podcast, Building One. I speak with some of the best product builders out there. I've always been inspired by frustration. It came back to my own personal pinpoint.
Starting point is 00:01:43 So we had to go out to farmers and convince them. Following that curiosity is a superpower. You have to be obsessed with the human condition. Listen to Building One on the iHeartRadio app, Apple, or wherever you get your podcasts. Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs, but it's time we know the facts. Fentanyl is often laced into illicit drugs
Starting point is 00:02:04 and used to make fake versions of prescription pills. You can't see it, taste it, or smell it. Suppliers mix fentanyl into their products because it's potent and cheap, and the dealer might not even know. Keep yourself and others safe by knowing the real deal on fentanyl. Get the facts. Starting point is 00:03:23 Listen to The Anxious Achiever on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hello the internet and welcome to season 375 episode 2 of Darn It Elise! Hey guys! The production of iHeartRadio. This is a podcast where we take a deep dive into America's shared consciousness. And it is Tuesday, Super Bowl Tuesday, February 11th. Happy birthday to my dad. 2025. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Okay, Jim. Big man. Happy birthday. Happy birthday, J-O-B. Well, it's also not only is it the illustrious birthday of one of our literal founding fathers It's also National Inventors Day National Peppermint Patty Day National Shut-in Visitation Day. Won't you check in on the shut-ins, please? We need to. Yeah, the people whose job it used to be to do that don't get paid anymore.
Starting point is 00:04:21 That yeah meals on wheels no more that don't get paid anymore. That, yeah, meals on wheels, no more. Also a national don't cry over spilled milk day, that feels like something the Republicans are really, it's like, hey, you know, it's ironic, it's also national don't cry over spilled milk day, so what if we're trying to kneecap the FDA and CDC? And also national make a friend day.
Starting point is 00:04:39 What do wilds say? Don't cry over spilled milk is just a thing to tell you not to cry over something that already happened. It's like a real real abuser logic. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but that should already happen. So why are you crying over it? Yeah, just did it and it still hurts. There's no changing what is done. Maybe that is the better version. Like Yoda mindset yourself into like accepting abuse and terrible treatment? Yeah, right. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Anyway, that actually that that line actually comes from the 17th century, which is no weeping for shed milk. That's how old we've been fucking ourselves over with that. Sure. It meant something useful at some point like but no right now I feel like people just use it to be like, yeah, don't don't worry about it. Don't cry over spilled milk miles I know your house burnt down. Don't cry over spilled milk. Oh, that's a equivalent of spilled milk Was it spilled? Is it spilled milk? No
Starting point is 00:05:42 then What your problem then? Yeah, just thing that happened Is it spilled milk? No. Then don't cry over it. Yeah. Just thing that happened. Anyways, my name is Jack O'Brien AKA Theragun to the dome to wipe away the pain, Theragun hard reset. You simply must. That one's a black hole son, AKA courtesy of hand sandwich on the
Starting point is 00:06:10 discord for some reason, because I guess I'm a sick fuck. I always imagine a sandwich with a goddamn hand in it, but might just be, you know, hand like, you know, you hold finger foods. Yeah. Right. Right. Right. But I Amelia Bedelia, cause my brain is weird.
Starting point is 00:06:28 I guess I'm a little twisted. Uh, I'm thrilled to be joined as always by my cohost, Mr. Miles Gray. Yeah, look, it's Miles Gray. He's back. He's back. Uh, and also he continues to be the Lord of Lancashire, man, the Shogun with no gun.
Starting point is 00:06:46 With a brand new perspective on life back from Mars as the now physical form of Dr. Manhattan, here I am back once again. Still no pants. Still no pants, but still got the hydrogen atom betwixt my eyes. You got to stop looking at it with both eyes. I know. That's good. It is still there. Yeah. I'm going to be a little bit more of a anatomy from kindergarten. That shit happens all the time. People accidentally get hit on the back and they are stuck.
Starting point is 00:07:28 Not going away. My six-year-old likes to cross his eyes for a comedic effect. And I don't know. I guess I just need to like look it up to figure out if it, if it is actually dangerous because a part of me is like, oh no, that's going to be bad. He's not going to stay that way. Your ocular independence. Yes. His eyes are too free.
Starting point is 00:07:53 They're too independent. I don't like it. Miles, we're thrilled to be joined in our third seat by TDZ Hall of Famer, one of the very faces on Mount Zaytmour, a brilliant stand-up comedian who you know from MTV Comedy Central, NBC, TruTV, E, all the TV places. You've heard her on Bob's Burgers. Her hour special live from the Big Dog is absolutely hilarious. A must watch.
Starting point is 00:08:19 It's Blair Zyking! Oh, what's up, Zyking? Woo! What's up? Oh,king? What's up? Oh, God. I can see you summoning that energy right there. It's so good to be back with my guys. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:33 Shooting the shitcatcher. Yep. Yep. Just doing our thing. You know what I mean? What is it, the brains? Oh, that was so good. Wow, it was really hard for me to stay silent during the eye crossing
Starting point is 00:08:47 conversation, cause I love to cross my eyes. Yeah, me too. Did you also for comedic effect? Oh, I do it on, I do it on stage all the time. I love it. Do you? But, but it is odd that children have a proclivity for it because it is wildly uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Oh, so uncomfortable. I remember when I had to train, I remember not knowing how to cross my eyes. And my dad was like, take your finger. Just follow it. And then I remember. Your dad taught you how to do it. I know. And this is how you smoke cigarettes.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Your dad taught you a lot of important stuff. Like he taught you about rain. Yeah, he did. And I was like, where'd you learn that? I've never heard a man know about rain. And he told you about it. Oh, he taught you about taro broc? Yeah. Yeah, he did. And I was like, where'd you learn that? I've never heard a man know about rain. And he told you about it. Oh, he told me about Tera Brock? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:28 Yeah, yeah. Incredible. You know, we are evolved human beings. I'd say so. The Gray family, yes, absolutely. Also taught me, again, I always talk about this when I first saw like an unhoused person and could like articulate what was going on. I'm like, what?
Starting point is 00:09:42 What's wrong? My dad said Ronald Reagan. So these are all. Fuck Reagan? My dad said Ronald Reagan. So these are all, this is- Fuck Reagan. Yeah, from that mind emerges a podcast host. He is able to really just steal things down so simply. A gift that I have, yeah, I have taken on in my own way. So shout out to you, dad.
Starting point is 00:10:01 The Grey Men, sequel to Netflix's The Grey Man. And Happy Birthday to Jim. Yeah, big Jim, Jungle Jim. Yes. My friends and I used to call him. He didn't like it. Because he'd crawl all over him. Stop calling me that.
Starting point is 00:10:16 Jungle Jim. Put your arms out. Let's swing on him. In high school, he was known as Jungle Jim. And yeah, it was because we crawled all over him. Right. Wow, that's sweet. Blair, last time you were here, you were preparing for a procedure.
Starting point is 00:10:28 You were saying you had to get a procedure. You had an operation and you're fine. I can hear in your voice. Everyone can tell you are on the other side of it. You are doing well. You're thriving. Thank you for remembering. Yeah. You know, it's funny, I had a little bit of like vulnerability hangover after that podcast, but I was so like fired up and upset about it.
Starting point is 00:10:49 I was like, I really revealed a lot that day, but yeah, I did have this surgery. It was the, the lead up was scarier than the actual thing. I went through the whole recovery and we're all good. Beautiful. Love that. Yeah. We love to hear it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Thanks. Everyone. We love good news on this show. We love it. Yeah,. Beautiful. Love that. We love to hear it. Yeah. Thanks everyone. We love good news on this show. We love it. We do. Not enough. We need every single last drop that we can get our hands on. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:13 Well, we're thrilled to have you here, Blair. We're going to get to know you a little bit better in a moment. First, we're going to tell the listeners a couple of things that we're talking about. Later on, we're going to talk about just what's been going on with the Trump administration in the last few days and how the Democrats are responding. Uh, we're going to talk about it being that there's a new type of movie that, uh, I don't think existed when I was growing up where it's like movie that exists, but does not get released.
Starting point is 00:11:42 Just it gets hidden forever. And so we're going to talk about that because there's two new ones, one of which sounds really good. And I'm really upset that we're not going to get to see it. All of that, plenty more. But first, Blair, we do like to ask. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound so... No, I liked it. I was going with it.
Starting point is 00:12:00 I was like a game show announcer. First, Blair, we do like to ask our guest, what is something from your search history that's revealing about who you are? Well, I thought it was my very last thing that I searched and that was a restaurant called Curry Pinch that I saw when I was driving by. Nice. And? You saw something.
Starting point is 00:12:23 And it looks like, because it has, I just saw the sign, but, but they were like redoing the restaurant to put it in. So it's not in yet. And I said, Hmm, that's by me. What's that all about? Turns out it's some new Sri Lankan cuisine and I'll be sure to hit it up. That is a level of follow through a level of, uh, you know, clarity of mind that I feel like I would not have from seeing a sign, seeing something to like getting back
Starting point is 00:12:52 home and Googling it unless we're Googling while driving. Oh, I use Siri. Yeah, I totally used Siri. That's what she's there for. Hands free. I always do that with bumper stickers that I don't understand. Yeah, yeah. Cause sometimes-
Starting point is 00:13:14 Did Einstein really say this shit? Nope. Yeah, not. 90% of the Einstein bumper stickers. When I saw one that said, that's some dude in a catalog had on this, I'm non-Bidenary. I was like, what could they possibly mean? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:30 I must Google this now to understand. I just had a crazy reaction. Yeah, look, it happens. I'm not a big pun guy. That's just who I am. Oh, what's wrong with you? They're so funny. I know my dad, well, it's like my dad is obsessed with puns
Starting point is 00:13:44 and it really makes me laugh when he does it, but it just doesn't feel authentic to me. Right. Oh, that's not your, those aren't your comedic stylings. Sure. When you've been like, have you ever, you know, dated someone who's really into puns and you, do you just go like, oh my God, stop with the puns. I can't say that I have, to be honest. Oh, okay, good, good. Yeah, yeah. So you're not like a visceral reaction
Starting point is 00:14:07 to someone getting their puns off. I don't, I don't find, I don't anticipate that happening for me, but we'll see. No, cause I know some people who like get incensed from my hearing puns. Like, Oh my God, okay, fine. Great, another pun. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Yeah. Yeah. I listen to children's podcasts with my kids sometimes in the car and they are sometimes just you. Heavy. Right. I said sometimes you said sometimes with my kids in the car and like sometimes just me listening to these kids. Sometimes just me doing a deep dive. They actually, you know, you learn some interesting stuff that they're, they're
Starting point is 00:14:48 re teaching kids about science and I'm like, didn't learn it the first time. So that's cool. But yeah, every time they make a pun, I feel a little tired, like a little more tired, just in my soul, just like tired in a, in a way that I will never recover from, you know? Right. Like just like, uh, I've lost, I've lost some life force from having to endure another one of these puns. I didn't even know there were children's podcasts, so I'm learning a lot today already. Brains on.
Starting point is 00:15:19 As I always do on these podcasts. Shout out to brains on. Shout out to, uh, what's the other one? Uh, wild interest. That's a fun one. This, I don't know if this racial has a podcast miles. We should reach out to miss Rachel. Yeah, she all right. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:35 What is something Blair you think is underrated? Oh, uh, Korean skin, skincare, uh, obsessed, love it. A whole new world, endless possibilities, I find out about something new on TikTok every day, brings me incredible joy. Also, Traders, I love the show, The Traders. And- Traders is like, I'm hearing a lot about Traders these days.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Yeah, and Severance, but I think a lot of people- The show, Jack, not what you're hearing on Fox. No, I'm hearing a lot about what the Democrats and the Biden family were getting up to and got up to. And that Alan Cumming bastard also. That's right. No, but I'm so into Severance. I'm listening to podcasts about it. I'm in deep I'm listening to podcasts about it. Like I'm in deep.
Starting point is 00:16:25 There you go. The behind the making of one with like Adam Scott or like fan theory ones. No, I tried that one, but then I found a better one that liked us such an in-depth recap, but, and then they have a second one that week that like goes through all the theories. Um, it's, it's really good. Oh, it's called, uh, we know severance. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:49 We know severance. Mm hmm. Yeah. I love when it's, it's always funny. Like I love when a show gets used, you get so into it. You're like, now I have to listen to all the podcasts about it. That's how I was at Chernobyl. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Another Patricia Arquette. Right? Yeah. Say what? Wasn't she in that? Oh no, that wasn't, no, she was in Escape to Danimora. Danimora. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Don't tell anybody. And also I started getting into chat GBT because of that. Danimora reference. Yeah. You started getting into chat GBT from we know Severance? No, just from Severance because like I miss so much even because there's such intense metaphor on that show that I, that I end up asking chat GPT like a million questions just to try and clarify in my mind.
Starting point is 00:17:41 And how do they do? Do they like, so give me an example of a question you've asked Chachie P.T. about severance. What time is severance on? And it totally fucked it up. Before, I don't know who's caught up or anything. I don't want to make any spoilers. Spoiler, accidental spoiler warning, not intentional. For what, this season?
Starting point is 00:18:01 Just so people know? Okay, I've just, you've been warned. You've been warned. You've been warned, You've been warned. Skipped ahead. Light spoiler potentially. But like I, before we knew that Haley was actually Helena, I was like, like three or four episodes ago,
Starting point is 00:18:17 I was like asking Chachi BT, like could this potentially be happening? Like, and then, you know, go back and forth. And I had never had any desire to use ChatGBT, but it worked quite well. Wow. So you're just like bouncing fan theories and they're like, yeah, I mean, damn, that's interesting. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Could be. That's pretty. I never looked at it that way. What else can you tell me, Blake? Damn, Blair, that's actually pretty sick. Can you come up with that? It does talk like that. It actually, it's like wow,
Starting point is 00:18:48 that's a really smart observation. You have a real, a lot of emotional depth to you. It says shit like that. I'm like thanks bitch, you know? Wow, that's pretty cool. Damn Blair. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:04 You're smoke too tough. My bitch is too bad. Your bitch is too bad. Your LLM is too bad. Blair's they'll kill you. That's all. That's all. I just want ChatGPT to say, Jack, they'll kill you. I'm working on my relationship with ChatGPT. We're a little...
Starting point is 00:19:12 No, I just shot it forever. Things are a little icy right now. A lot of people are using it for therapy. That's pretty crazy. That is. Oh. What is something you think is overrated? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:20 I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. forever. Things are a little icy right now. A lot of people are using it for therapy. That's pretty crazy. That is. Oh.
Starting point is 00:19:28 What is something you think is overrated? Sam Asghari and Tom Sandoval on Traders. Tom Sandoval, he has a place because he's sort of like, and I hate to use this term, but he's like, lovable, fun to hate. Or I wish I had another word. Yeah. I don't hate him.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Yeah. As a person. Um, and then Sam Asgari makes me really mad that he's even on the show. I'm so upset. He hasn't spoken once in seven episodes, like, and he's just making a hundred grand for being Britney's ex. It just makes me mad he's on there. Right. Right.
Starting point is 00:20:05 Okay. So Sam Ascari is Britney's ex-husband and Tom Sandoval is from Vanderpump Rules. And he's like, famously. Yeah. So Sandoval cheated with Raquel after nine years in his common law wife's home that he shared with her. And kind of like did it for the content, is my sense. He was just like, this is going to be-
Starting point is 00:20:29 I don't think so. I don't think he thought- I think he's too dumb to think about that. But yeah, he got caught, blew everything up. You love to see it. But it is so weird seeing him on Traders because he seriously has no idea what's going on or what the hell he's doing.
Starting point is 00:20:46 He doesn't know where he is. Just so confused. But he's like still around. He's not like immediately bounced. No spoilers. No, because everyone's like, he's definitely not a traitor. He's just so dumb. So traitors is like, there's multiple games, right?
Starting point is 00:21:04 There's multiple games. Like it's not just a single, like the way I've heard Traitors is like, there's multiple games, right? There's multiple games. Like, it's not just a single, like, the way I've heard it described is like, the way that, like, Survivor, you can kind of like scheme for and everybody learns to play the game and everybody kind of plays it the same way. Like, Traitors is like a little bit more, like constantly evolving. And it's, it's like, there's moles, right? Or there's traders within the house and yet it's like, you're trying to figure it. Yeah, it's like mafia.
Starting point is 00:21:31 It's like mafia. Yeah, it's like mafia. It's really good though. I love it. And Alan Cumming is hilarious. Such a good host. Yeah. One of our best character actors.
Starting point is 00:21:40 Well, not ours, but Earth's, you know, he's not American. The human species. Yeah. I didn't want to speak for Scotland. Miles, are you watching Traders? No, no. They're talking about a lot on Los Culturistas and, uh, Ana Hosnier has been really being like, when she just is mad at me every time she brings it up and I haven't like, I'm like, I still haven't, she's like, oh, I miss Anna. Yeah. She just is mad at me every time she brings it up.
Starting point is 00:22:06 And I haven't like, I'm like, I still haven't. She's like, what is it? Why? That's why you got it. That's why you got to have your house burned down in a wildfire. It's the perfect defense. She's like, Miles, if you watch that now, they'll fire. She's like, oh, right, right, right, right. Jack. And when you say no, she's like, you fucking idiot.
Starting point is 00:22:23 It is so good, though. I love it. Yeah. I mean, everyone I know watches it. It's just like we're just in this era where there's just too many things to watch that, you know, I her majesty and I watched speed last night to just be like, yeah, I fucking watch. Palate Cleanser. Yeah, Palate Cleanser. Exactly. Yeah. Well, you guys are like married and have children and stuff.
Starting point is 00:22:47 Like I don't have any responsibilities. So I know people who are parents who also fuck with traders. It's not an excuse. No excuse. I have no excuse. Laziness. That's my excuse. Fucking lazy.
Starting point is 00:22:59 And I'm sure I like it because I love seeing sort of social engineering type things like this, where it's really about how like sort of cunning people are too, that I, um, yeah. Yeah. And it's just like these wild personalities from all different shows and just everyone is, you know, these wild reality TV personalities and seeing them in this environment when you know them from another environment is a whole other thing. It's exciting. I like thing. It's exciting. I like that.
Starting point is 00:23:26 It's smart. Like that was the thing that real world road rules challenged. Like they found a NBA that the cast members of real world and road rules were feeding into. You know, like the professional league that people could then watch them at. And like this just does that with all of reality TV, right? It's just like every, every one is talent that they can come for. It's all that you have to have been on a reality show to do it. Like you couldn't be the host of a daily comedic news podcast or something.
Starting point is 00:24:01 No, you probably could. I think you, if you have some level of notoriety, I don't think you have to have been on reality TV, although most of the people are. Gotta start a beef with somebody or something. Yeah. Yeah. Get on that. I'm going to ask him like, Lacey, can you put me on scam goddess, the TV show?
Starting point is 00:24:20 I'll do a scam. I'll do a scam because I'm just trying to get on the traders. Oh, I miss Lacey too. These are fun people you're talking about. Thriving. Lacey's for people who don't live in LA. Lacey Mosley. All over the city right now.
Starting point is 00:24:36 The billboards. Season one of Scam Goddess is out. Reform. Check it out. Check it out. Go watch. Alright, Blair, we're going to take a quick break. We're going to come back. We're going to talk about the news and we'll be right back. We make it this big pie in the sky thing, and then of course we're all frustrated because no one knows how to get there. Struggling with tough emotions, we have a how-to guide. Worried that you're not enough? We got you. Self-obsessed and want to get over yourself, there's a guide for that too.
Starting point is 00:27:03 The ability to approach somebody and make them experience desire for you in minutes or even hours is a rare and rather unnecessary skill, historically speaking. The Happiest Labs How-To Season starts January 1st. Listen on the iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Have you ever looked into the night sky and wondered who or what was flying around up there? We've seen planes, helicopters, hot air balloons, and birds, but what if there's something else,
Starting point is 00:27:36 something much more ominous that appears under the cover of night, silent, unseen, watching? They may be right above your car late one night as you cruise down the road or look like mysterious lights hovering above your home. Drones. Or are they? We used to work drone because it was comfortable to other people. One minute it was there and one minute it wasn't. Oh that is beyond creepy.
Starting point is 00:28:08 Do you feel like this drone was targeting you specifically? Yes, absolutely. Listen to Obscurem, Invasion of the Drones on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And we're back. We are back. We are. And the fire hose continues unabated of Trump bullshit. Mm-hmm. Where are we at these days, Miles? Oh, I'm going to take a deep inhale so I can say it all in one breath.
Starting point is 00:28:47 Well, he just announced plans to shutter the Office of Environmental Justice and External Civil Rights of the Environmental Protection Agency. He's placed nearly 170 employees on administrative leave. Musk's buck boy army is nosing around at FEMA currently. Trump just killed any new projects to build fast EV chargers because that is an Elon Musk competitor. A lot of people were like, but isn't that Elon Musk? Like, no, no, no. These are different from the Tesla ones. This is his competition. He's also floated plans to fire a yet-to-be-disclosed number of employees at the FDA and CDC,
Starting point is 00:29:19 triple down on the idea or his plan to quote, buy Gaza. on the idea or his plan to quote by Gaza. It's just it's nonstop. Then there's like the kid who was in his little Doge fuckboy army who was doing Nazi stuff and then resigned. He's back already. Oh, one with the like super broccoli haircut. Like whatever one of the fucking. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:40 Yeah. Yeah. Fucks over there. I think, but really I have Doge Doge fuckboy that's one that I'm still trying to get my hands on. Yeah. It wasn't Braco or big balls. It was, it was little, little, little Nazi, little Nazi. Little Nazi X. Yeah. Rico Nazi, I think is what he was going by. Big Rico nasty fan. But yeah, he like came back and Elon Musk was like, it's time to, to forgive and move on, which is basically, I have a feeling that's obviously very intentional because they don't
Starting point is 00:30:13 want to have the perception that outside forces can affect the business of Doge or whatever happening in the government. So they're like, I don't care if 98% of people don't like the Nazi stuff. You're coming back here because we need to show that we are impenetrable and impenetrable happening in the government. So they're like, I don't care if 98% of people don't like the Nazi stuff. You're coming back here because we need to show that we are impenetrable and impenetrable. And you know, whatever, whatever we want to do, we will do it. Also that line, he it's time to forgive and move on was the line he gave about. Like what, because he's like supporting this even for like even more far right party in Germany, that was like a speech he gave was like that it's time to even more far right party in Germany.
Starting point is 00:30:49 That was like a speech he gave was like that it's time to forgive and move on about the Nazis. So when he's saying it's time to forgive and move on, he's not saying that about like being this is a young kid who's made some mistakes. He's saying you guys are too mad about Nazis. It's time to forgive Nazis and move on. Like we're good with the Nazis now. Nazis and move on. Like we're, we're good with the Nazis now. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Um, so, you know, while all of this is happening, the Democrats kill and you to demonstrate how out of their depth they are. I referenced this earlier, like Chuck Schumer was leading chance, uh, last week that were so vague, I have no idea what it, like, I'm not sure he even knows what's actually happening. I just want to play this because this was like, again, this is the, when they, they were all outside the treasury department and Chuck Schumer just basically saying, we will win. We, I'm just going to play it because I, this was meant to be a rallying cry to be like, all right, there is an opposition party, but this is what we got.
Starting point is 00:31:47 I'm going to stand with you in this fight and we will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. Oh boy. We will win. We will win.
Starting point is 00:32:02 We will rest. Oh, we won't rest either. Okay. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win.
Starting point is 00:32:11 We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win.
Starting point is 00:32:19 We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. We will win. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's at that age. Like, you know how it's like specific when you're younger and like, I feel like in college, like my, a parent would call me, like, as I was clearly parking the night before and they're like, what's wrong with, like, you get that like way too early
Starting point is 00:32:35 phone call voice, it's like permanent. Not a certain age. Motherfucker was like 45 minutes into a speech and he's like, oh, we, we know it. Oh shit. five minutes into a speech and he's like, oh, we, we, I had such second hand like, in bed, like, oh, this, my old grandpa is out there. You know? Yeah. Well, and also seeing like a nearly 80 year old representative Al Green, who was off to the side next to Maxine Waters, like lift his barely muster the strength
Starting point is 00:33:03 to like lift his cane along. I'm like, Oh God, y'all. This is why we need term limits. Like these people are way too entrenched in the old ways that they're there. I always use this metaphor for just this. And this is what happened with the Vikings when people didn't protect, like there were so much gold in like monasteries and churches. And people were like, the fear of God will prevent people from robbing this place. And then you get a bunch of people who don't believe in that. They're like, was it a bunch of gold in there?
Starting point is 00:33:27 Yeah, I'm taking that. They're like, but the fear of God, they're like, who? Give me this shit. You know what I mean? The fear of our norms and regulations. Yeah. We're like, this is not, you cannot fight an enemy who has, they are out, like not even on the same ideological playing field.
Starting point is 00:33:43 You're not even on the same ideological playing field. You're not even close at this point. And then this week, Chuck Schumer said that right now their biggest weapon, although many Democrats have been saying this is going to be to withhold withhold votes that would cause the government to shut down that would be in March. So they need a continuing resolution to keep the government fundally part, fun, partially funded until they can, you know, approve a new budget. Um, partially is kind of fun. Check out my new podcast for people in disarray in America,
Starting point is 00:34:18 fundally partial with growl growls may. Um, but like, you know, the biggest thing for Republicans right now is that they want to make the Trump tax cuts permanent and the way that they're gonna offset that is to make huge cuts to like Medicaid, right? Or Medicare and go after those kinds of programs because they're like, oh, that's a huge chunk of money we can just do away with to show people
Starting point is 00:34:42 when they're trying to quote balance the budget. They're like, well, we can offset all of the money we lose from having millionaires not pay taxes by not paying for these other welfare programs that are wildly popular. So I think, you know, being able to, a, they need to tie people or have more people sort of connect to what is going on there. But that's a huge sort of a huge prize for the conservatives right now is to try and make those tax cuts happen, but at the expense of things like Medicaid and stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:35:13 So that's like one legislative avenue for pushback that could work because already there's, they don't have the numbers like they're, the Republicans already split, there's like the MAGA people who are like, dude whatever Trump wants and that's that's fine by me I don't even know how any of this works I'm just a racist guy who got enough votes and I used to play baseball and then there are other conservatives who are like total budget hawks who are like we're not gonna do a fucking thing until you like reel this shit in so So that's one avenue for leverage. The other they say are that they have a four point plan that is based around legislative oversight, litigation, communication, and mobilization.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Now those sound nice, but at the moment we're already in a constitutional crisis where everyone saying like Trump doesn't actually need to listen to the courts. Okay. So then what is, what is legislative oversight going to do? What is litigation going to do? Because we're already seeing attempts to completely sort of be like, no, no, I'm not going to be burdened by things like a legal decision.
Starting point is 00:36:21 Communication and mobilization maybe like definitely definitely like the sense of outrage needs to be, I think, developed a little bit more. But again, this is just all so much is happening. And there's just not real agreement on how they're going to pursue this. Because it just feels like I think most people agree when they look at the Democrats, like this is not enough. And that's why I'm like, it's so inferior. The same people who seemingly were so clear eyed on what a second Trump administration would look like act like they have no idea.
Starting point is 00:36:52 They knew about the dangers it seemed during the election. We knew how to say the words dangerous. But in terms of actually contending with that TBD. But in terms of actually contending with that, TBD. Yeah, I feel like they only know how to speak in a way that's so full of technocratic jargon that you can't really understand it and it's just hidden behind complexity. Or they have things, they're like, oh, you want us to simplify it? We will win! You know, just so simple and basic and vague to be meaningless.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Like those, they feel like, well, we tried to dumb it down and like address the people. And it's like, no, you're not like speaking in a way that seems remotely authentic. Cause they can't, they're unable to. That's why they, right. Like, I feel like a lot of the programs that are getting cut. They're like, well Fine. It's fine with that like our corporate overlords like they're not mad Well, I just think that the the thing that would actually I think motivate more people is that you're actually presenting again This is all we were crying out for this election
Starting point is 00:38:03 Present a vision of the future that makes sense to people, but they cannot because they are there to like, with like, you know, support the status quo. Because at this point, we're seeing all the norms go out the window and people are like, what the fuck? Then what is this? Like what, who, what is the direction? And there's like, ah, but the old way? No, no.
Starting point is 00:38:25 And that's just that again, a bridge too far. That's why I think again, it's so much, so important to have younger voices come out to deal with this, because those are the ones that have like the literal energy to sort of connect to people's sense of outrage. And I'm like, you know, like you remember how like those Korean parliament members were fucking hopping the fences and shit Trying to get back to the building during a coup. Yeah, like we got our grandparents up there saying shit Like well, I won't give you any more Werther's from my pocketbook if you don't stand aside at once
Starting point is 00:38:58 like yeah, we're just this opposite as currently constructed they are not really able to be the opposition party that is needed, but it's really just about, I mean, I feel like they may be able to turn a corner. I don't know. I'm not counting on it, but that's what's also kind of also very frustrating is to be like, well, I'm not counting on them. So I think that's where you're starting to see more like state legislatures try to do what they can, uh, to at least from a legislative
Starting point is 00:39:28 place, try and safeguard things. But there needs to be more like of a vocal. They're there. We're just lacking voices that are going to rally people because that's a huge thing. If there aren't enough people to demonstrate their outrage, that's a huge thing Trump cares about. Like is, if there's nothing that, uh, he did, he'll at least have a reaction to it.
Starting point is 00:39:49 Doesn't necessarily mean it's like then that's all we have to do, but he is very much. Thinks about like how he's being perceived. And right now without much, you know, aside from like protests happening here and there, there's just, I don't know, we were not able to coalesce around like a succinct set of ideas on how to resist all of this. Oh, by the way, we should mention that I got, I think I might've gotten taken in by some, uh, Trump's propaganda because when they showed him during the national anthem during the Superbowl and there was like a big cheer, like
Starting point is 00:40:23 apparently that was piped in like that wasn't actually crowd noise International viewers were like they booed Like on those broadcasts and then there were also like there were videos from inside Yeah of him getting booed like badly. Yeah Wow Interesting Jack. You just wanted to believe in America. I just want to believe in America. I want to believe that we're all on the same page again. No, I was like very troubled when I saw people cheer.
Starting point is 00:40:51 I was like, wait, we're not supposed to cheer for the president ever, but like this one at this point. No, they didn't. I mean, some did. I will say the Chuck Schumer clip, the We Will Win clip, it's interesting because they've got like a couple young people in the background that I feel like the one Schumer clip, the We Will Win clip, it's interesting because they've got a couple young people in the background. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:09 I feel like the way that Trump uses people of color in the background of his speeches, like they're just collecting tokens. Hello, my young friend. Right? We want you to look energetic and young. Spry people to the front? Yeah. Spry people to the front. Casting call for anyone under 25.
Starting point is 00:41:29 Yeah. Young. Yeah. Can you lift a sign above your head? Fantastic. Fantastic. Yeah, I mean, the fact that Representative Al Green is shaking a fucking cane, like literally shaking a cane,
Starting point is 00:41:43 is just. Yeah. And that's no knock on him or whatever, but I'm just saying like, you know what I mean? It's just like the overall optics, knowing what the establishment party stands for and what they've allowed and where we're at now. It's just all like, it's just so much.
Starting point is 00:41:58 It's so, so, so much. It's so gross. Like anytime I have to see even just anything about that man, it makes me feel sick. And then when you see people encounter them in the world, being excited about him. It's just sick. I mean, I guess that's how they feel about us the other years, you know, but it's. Man, I wasn't excited to see Joe Biden. Like that's pathetic.
Starting point is 00:42:31 Somebody who listens to those podcasts, like I want to hear a report back. Like, are they still like those like comedy in quotes, podcasts that are like right wing or like right leaning and like think it's edgy? Are they still like, yo, Trump is so tight. Like how is that comedy to be like, Trump is cool. I mean, like you look at Andrew Schultz, his show, flagrant, like the listeners, like, what the fuck is this anymore? Like, this is just a right wing circle jerk now.
Starting point is 00:43:00 Or like, or like maybe one or two people will say something contrary and then it just gets moved right past. I mean, it's. Do you see Trump at the Superbowl last night? That was pretty tight. So sick dude. I don't listen to comedy podcasts, like freaky Severance ones. There you go.
Starting point is 00:43:18 Yeah, yeah. Protecting movement. And Jack and Miles. That's right. And our freaky Severance podcast. We haven't told you guys about. Because it's too freaky. It's too tally-partialed. Bitch is too bad. Our bitch is too bad on that one that we can't, you guys would want to kill us. Trump did announce more tariffs on his way to the Super Bowl, it would seem.
Starting point is 00:43:40 25% tariffs on all steel and aluminum imports, including from Canada, Mexico. Again, nobody really knows why he's doing, like it doesn't make economic sense. And so, but the one thing, the one cause it does seem to be having tariffs are a blunt instrument at getting like things, like getting a specific effect out of the market. And the one thing that seems to keep happening is gold keeps jumping. And, uh, the Trump family, as we talked about, as our writer, JM pointed out in a recent episode, their family recently invested in like a gold company. And they're, they're all in on gold. Yeah. Also is in fitting with everything we know about Donald Trump and his aesthetic.
Starting point is 00:44:23 And like with his hair, he's starting to look like gold member from Austin Power. which also is infitting with everything we know about Donald Trump and his aesthetic. And like with his hair, he's starting to look like gold member from Austin Powers. Yeah. In a weird way. I feel like his hair and his face are one day going to all be the same color. Yeah, they already are. They already are. Just like, they look one thing.
Starting point is 00:44:38 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Together. Yeah. Well, you know, we got to toe the line. We can't, we don't want to, we don't want to be in his crosshairs now, do we? Oh, I know. Yeah. We'll be banning. We'll disappear in the night. But I'm sure you guys have been.
Starting point is 00:44:54 This has been brought to your attention. But all those videos on Tick Tock about Republican women's makeup. No. Yeah, they're parodying it. And like then they keep getting mad. And, they're parodying it and like, then they keep getting mad. And then they're doing like, oh, mega face. Yeah. Mega face. We have covered that.
Starting point is 00:45:13 I have been enjoying it. I'll be honest. What is this? Was this while I was gone? Was this while I was on my sabbatical? This girl named Suzanne, I feel like is leading the charge where she's like, Democrats are too nice. We need to fight fire with fire.
Starting point is 00:45:31 And she's just ruthlessly mean. And look, I don't like mean stuff, but she's like, well, you're creating laws that are really affecting the people I love. And so I feel like I'm justified to say, and she just makes the most- Making fun of your makeup choices? The most lethal reads about people's makeup and hair. Oh, amazing.
Starting point is 00:45:56 Yeah. This is a great recommendation. We've got to check it out. Right, right. We talked about MegaFace more with regards to Matt Gaetz and his face. Oh yeah, that one, MegaFace, with regards to like Matt Gaetz and like his face. It felt like everybody was kind of trending in the same direction to have really highly botoxed faces.
Starting point is 00:46:15 Yeah. They need to find some more natural injectors in my opinion. They should be using ablative laser treatments if I'm going to be quite honest, but they wouldn't know about that. Maybe some PRF, easy gel could be a more natural result. Exactly. I've been saying that, I'm glad you agree. Jack, your face has healed remarkably after that ablative laser procedure you had. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 00:46:42 My ablation? No, I'm ablation. That's what I you had. My ablation? Oh no, I'm Blasion. My, that's what I call you, my ablation. What's up, my ablation? Oh shit, they're like, bro, who was that? I'm like, I don't know him. I don't know him.
Starting point is 00:46:58 I don't know him. Miles, dude, it's me. You guys are really in sync. Incredible. Yeah. You play off each other so well. What are you, couple co-hosts? Long time? What have you been doing this show for seven years or something? Have you said more words to each other than your own children?
Starting point is 00:47:16 That's so fucked up. Potentially if I did a word counter. Well, it's easy. I only have, my kids only got two years on the clock. You know what I mean? Yeah. For sure. I've said more to you than I have my own, my own kids. So it's fine.
Starting point is 00:47:29 It's fine. All right. Let's take a quick break and we'll come back and talk about some bullshit that is not politics. We'll be right back. I'm Tisha Olin, former golf professional and the host of Welcome to the Party, your newest obsession about the wonderful world that is women's golf, featuring interviews with top players on tour like LPGA superstar Angel Yin. Starting point is 00:50:13 Ever wonder what it's like to be on the phone with an NFL general manager as you finalize the biggest contract in NFL history? Starting point is 00:50:45 into Sean Watson's fully guaranteed contract that sent shockwaves through the league. This isn't just about the numbers though, it's about the untold stories behind these massive negotiations and the relationships the NFL superstars like Dak Prescott, Tua Tunga-Valaiola, and Jordan Love have with their agents at Athletes First. Listen to the Athletes First Family Podcast on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:51:24 And we're back. We are back. And guys, so these shelved movies, we've talked about like Acme versus Coyote or whatever that one is, the Will Forte movie that was completed. And then Zazlov from HBO Max was just like, yeah, we're going to, we're going to kill this. And nobody's ever going to get to see it. It was that Ann Batgirl, right? We're like, yeah, we're going to just, let's just take the tax loss on that one.
Starting point is 00:51:54 I'm a big MacGruber head. So I was a sad that that's the ACME one is the one that really sticks with me. But so there's now two more movies that are going away, not because of David Zaslav, fortunately. But first, I just want to ask, was this something that ever happened before? This is new, right? There were albums that were completed and withheld for a long time.
Starting point is 00:52:23 There's all sorts of legendary books that got lost. Well, I think Hemingway's first manuscript got lost or something like that. But movies, I feel like if they could complete a movie and put it out in theaters, they were going to find a way to do it. Bruce Lee died halfway through making his last movie and they just put somebody in a wig and shot him from behind. Yeah, it's bizarre because it's like it's something about their taxes, because you'd think if you put the capital into completing a movie that's already sunk in costs, that
Starting point is 00:53:00 you would be put it out to get your ROI, but there's something happening where the tax exemption is bigger. So that's the motivation for not releasing because it's been happening now for like four to five years and it's really sad for the industry and a lot of people. When I hear that, well, it's tax implications. Part of me is like, don't say anything there. Like it's just too smart. Like it's too complicated.
Starting point is 00:53:27 You don't understand it. Just shut up. But like part of me is, I feel like we should just be like, well, that's a dumb system then, like if the incentive is such like them, that's too complicated. And it like is making the people who have the power to make big decisions do stupid stuff. Like that's, that's bad. So even whether it does make financial sense or not, like,
Starting point is 00:53:48 then that means the system is fucking stupid. Yeah. Would be my contention. I'm just reading a list of movies that were completed and never released. There's some, there's a movie called All Star Weekend with Jamie Foxx and Jeremy Piven. Oh, the hair plug All Stars. Wow. Together.
Starting point is 00:54:04 Together again. Hair plug all-star weekend with Jamie Foxx and Jeremy Piven. I love Jamie Foxx. But apparently it like was shelved. It was supposed to come out with the, during the 2018 all-star game about these two guys who win tickets to the all-star game. NBA all-star game? Yeah. And they were like, the post didn't like begin until 2019.
Starting point is 00:54:24 And then on in 2022, quote, Foxx confirmed that he was going to be the tickets to the All-Star Game. NBA All-Star Game? Yeah. The post didn't begin until 2019. Then in 2022, Fox confirmed the film was shelved while promoting the 2022 film Day Shift, expressed the difficulties of getting the movie released in the present day comedy landscape. I'm guessing so this was supposed to be released in 2018,
Starting point is 00:54:42 then something happened in 2020, in which case they said, yeah, you know what, maybe we don't put this out. Apparently Robert Downey Jr. was in it and he plays a Mexican man also. And some people were like, maybe that's what it is, but there was never a reason. Yeah. Again, let's blame the comedy climate
Starting point is 00:55:01 and not our terrible decision for casting Robert Downey Jr. once again in brown or blackface. There's a picture from the set. He looks like Mickey Rourke more than anything in this picture right here. Oh, Jesus Christ. That's Robert Downey Jr. Really problematic. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:55:19 He does look like Mickey Rourke. Yeah. Doesn't any of you guys ever say that I look like Mickey Rorick in a picture? You don't understand the devastation that that will cause me. That's a lethal read for you. No, that is one you can't come back from. I have to pack my bags and leave town if you ever say I look like Mickey Rorick. You're giving pisshands 420 too much power.
Starting point is 00:55:49 420, he's my best friend. No, I was talking about Pisshound 420. Different guy. That's Jack's reply guy, which is secretly me. All right. So two new movies that will not be ever coming out. One, I can kind of see it. All right. So two new movies that will not be ever coming out. One, I can kind of see it. All right.
Starting point is 00:56:08 So the first one is Pharrell's autobiographical musical about his childhood. The Lego one? Not the Lego one, Miles, because, and this is news to me, the Lego one came out last year. It came out? That shit dropped on all of our asses. Oh. And the news to me, the Lego one came out last year. That shit dropped on all of our asses. And it did not do Bofobio.
Starting point is 00:56:32 It did Otho-bio. Oh no. It was not, did not do very well. Three million. Three mil at the box office its first week out. And it had a campaign. Like it was playing as a trailer before a lot of big movies. I mean, as a concept, it was, I was like, who is this for?
Starting point is 00:56:53 And why do you think- Who indeed? Why does anyone, I mean, I'm a huge Pharrell Williams fan, like from his time in the Neptune's and stuff, but I'm like, I don't need to see a Lego depiction of his life. I would have watched it and I probably will now that I know it exists. It exists.
Starting point is 00:57:09 It's out there. Yeah. You should have seen it in theaters because now we're not getting a second Pharrell autobiography. Thanks a lot, Blair. Sorry. I do love a Lego movie. Like I am a fan.
Starting point is 00:57:27 Oh yeah. The Batman Lego movie is a blast. So good. So this one is not a Lego movie, although it's directed by Michelle Gondry of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The thing I knew him for most before Eternal Sunshine. The Kylie Minogue music video coming to my world. That made miles cry. Very recently. No, I can't get you out of my head.
Starting point is 00:57:48 Okay. Made me cry. Was the white stripes video where they are made of Legos. So it was a fell in love with a girl. What is it? Yeah, I think it was fell in love with a girl, but it's so again, like for hell was just like, I'm going to, it really feels like Pharrell was in, in talks, trying to decide between two biopics. One was a Lego movie. One was with the guy who made the Lego
Starting point is 00:58:13 music video. And he was like, fuck it, we're gonna do both of these. We're just gonna keep going with both of them to the point that we had like a Armageddon deep impact situation of Pharrell autobiographies coming out and they've decided to shelve the second one because nobody saw the first one. Yeah. It's, I mean, I'm surprised it was them, you know, cause like, again, the other examples are like the studios being like, bro, we cannot put this shit out. You know what because like, again, the other examples are like the studios. We're like, bro, we cannot put this shit out. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:58:45 And I like how Michelle Gondry and Pharrell are like, no, no, no, no. So in this case, they were like, we went into the edit bay. We realized that there was no way to make a good movie out of what we had here. And we've decided to not do this. So this is why they had Janelle Monet, Holly Berry, fucking Brian Tyree Henry, Missy Elliott, Quinta Brunson, Jaboukie Young White. Okay. The fucking Twitter Lord.
Starting point is 00:59:13 Like, I mean, this is such a, such an L for a filmmaker to make a fucking movie to completion, take it into post and then say, quote, during the editing process, they collectively decided there wasn't a make a fucking movie to completion, take it into post and then say, quote, during the editing process, they collectively decided there wasn't a path forward to tell the version of this story that we originally envisioned. That's what a script is for. Just so you know. That's the thing.
Starting point is 00:59:39 Like, so there's this bias within Hollywood that it's like writers are kind of like the tertiary. You have the directors, you have the actors, and producers oversee everything. And then the writer is just like down below, just a hired hand, hired gun. You go back and read the scripts for great movies, and it's like, yo, this is all there. Everything that was great about this is on the page and you go back and read a script for a shitting movie and a lot of times like it's better than what ended up coming out on screen. Like, but yeah, that is, they might've wanted to figure this
Starting point is 01:00:19 out at the scripting stage. All right. So that's one I probably wasn't going to see. I do think I have to see the Legos one, by the way, did not get like terrible reviews. It's like in the sixties on Metacritic. So I'm sure it's like a movie. So incredible. Yeah. Like a movies are good. It's just like, not everybody was checking for that one too specific, like
Starting point is 01:00:39 very specific kids are like Batman. Yay. They're like, what about Pharrell Williams? They're like, wait, huh? The guy who's saying the despicable, despicable me. No, Batman, yay. They're like, what about Pharrell Williams? They're like, what? The guy who's saying the Despicable Me? No, not Despicable Me. Stop it. Let me finish. The old man who has fantastic skin who barely ages.
Starting point is 01:00:58 What do you mean barely ages? Okay, maybe that's more importantly to me. Yeah, maybe we don't need to see this. It's usually a bad sign when you're doing a pitch of a children's movie to kids and you keep having to scream, can I finish? Let me finish. I'm bummed out about this next one though.
Starting point is 01:01:18 Netflix just canceled a nine-hour documentary about Prince, directed by Ezra Edelman, who won the Oscar for the OJ made in America movie. a nine hour documentary about Prince directed by Ezra Edelman, who won the Oscar for the OJ made in America movie. Did you guys watch OJ made in America? That shit was so good. Was that that one a while ago? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:35 Yeah. Okay. I did watch that one. I didn't watch the new one. So this was, he's been working on it for the past five years. This is what he like followed up the OJ one with was this Prince documentary. It's nine hours. It was going to be a complete banger. And then, and he was like granted access to Prince's entire archive known as the vault and had permission from his estate. And then the estate changed administration and Netflix, the Netflix exec who greenlit the movie left the company and now they're killing the project. So this dude just made a documentary that the New
Starting point is 01:02:12 York Times, like a journalist got to see it and was like, this is a cursed masterpiece. Wow. Wow. And yeah, I mean, we were going to learn some stuff about Prince, which anybody who's been paying attention probably had a sense that it was there. But allegations of physical assault from his ex-girlfriend, descriptions of his addiction to painkillers, and criticisms of certain lyrics as anti-Semitic.
Starting point is 01:02:38 But now they're going to take another pass at it with the approval of Prince of the State. They're like, could you imagine how sanitized it becomes? And he was a prince, and that was it. They called him Prince Prince, and everyone lived happily ever after. Shout out to the healing waters of Lepenet. That one was because someone on Prince's side found a way to get a kill to protect his legacy or oh, yeah Okay. Yeah, because I was gonna say with the last five years with the state of our Industry the film entertainment industry. I've experienced this several times where
Starting point is 01:03:20 There's so many layoffs at the executive that you're developing something with for like a year or two, all of a sudden, poof, they're gone and the project's immediately dead. Right, right. Exactly. I mean, that was a huge thing when HBO Max, like that whole discovery thing. So many people had shit potentially about to be piloted, have things greenlit. Then all those executives like, hey, man, do you know anywhere in the tire? Yeah the time? I was about to ask you if we could take this project somewhere else. Yeah. And like the mergers and then whole like, like streamers and companies not even existing. I mean, it's just been crazy. It's I know it. silly. LA feels like, and I think this is a, this is a very specific to LA vibe thing, but I
Starting point is 01:04:01 think people just outside of LA should probably understand. Like this city feels like it's dying. I don't know if people are aware. It feels like, like, like, you know, when factory jobs were like, there's, the work is gone. There are so many people having like crises about they're like, I'm an editor, but there's nothing to edit and I can't go anywhere. I'm a writer. There's nothing to write or like that whole industry is being so it's like in such a state of chaos right now.
Starting point is 01:04:32 Yeah. It's like, there's just a huge dimension of the city that's like lost at the moment that it's very fucking eerie. I gotta say it's very, a lot of people are leaving the business. Yeah. I know people that are like, I used to do this. I'm going to be leaving the business. Yeah, I know people that are like, I used to do this, I'm gonna be a lawyer now. Yeah, like, or people have been in the business
Starting point is 01:04:48 for a really long time and yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's, it's, yeah, anyway. Anyway. Things are changing. Things are changing. I'm a birthday party clown, like the Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters too. I just do children's birthday parties. I already am a professional clown, so So that's, and that's impressive.

Miles, where can people find you? Is there work media you've been enjoying? At everywhere with the at symbol miles of gray. One tweet is just so funny at space underscore buns tweeted back in my day.

It goes wild. and threw them at the houses of our enemies. That was mine as well. Crazy. That's hilarious. She goes wild. That's so true. Then another one,
Starting point is 01:07:32 at Matt Binder tweeted, just like a collection of people's tweets, just responding to Kendrick's Super Bowl halftime show, tweeted, way funnier than the conservatives who hated Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show, are the conservatives who thought he was doing the ultimate patriotic ode to America. They're like, we went from kneeling during
Starting point is 01:07:51 the national anthem to a halftime show showcasing USA flag colors. We're so back. I'm like, did you not catch when they were doing the this with their hands and it looked like the KKK in the flag? Okay. Anyway, frame by frame and folks,
Starting point is 01:08:02 some things were lost. But again, there's another one that said, finally, a non-woke satanic halftime show. Kendrick Lamar is showing off the American flag. I love this. In our faces. That's the genius of that halftime show. It's like, here's your subversion right with the most eyes watching.
Starting point is 01:08:21 He's such a genius. Incredible, Kendrick. So great. He's such a genius. He is incredible. Kendrick. So great. Let's see some tweets. I've been enjoying Ethan at Ethan Mead forever tweeted a greedy bread pit. What else is in the box? HB at H3 XEN Brenner 2 tweeted,
Starting point is 01:08:45 Coach sponging down boxer in the middle of the world heavyweight title fight. Why is that guy hitting you? Then the gamersfist at SabatonFan69 tweeted, what the fuck was Elton John on about when he goes if I was a sculptor But then again, no Yeah, but then again no that one goes Hmm just like thinks of something funny for himself in the middle of it You can find me on Twitter at Jack underscore Brian.
