I was in Baltimore Ravens marching band.
You were?
I missed in New York High School.
I needed more marching band.
What did you play?
French horn and mellophone and marching band.
Wow, you're going to say, yeah, to march to that.
Also, this is one of my embarrassing facts.
We marched in George Bush's first inaugural parade in the year 2001.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We played Louis Louis for the president.
Oh, yeah, I remember that.
I'm rolling up the tape real quick.
I rolled ex-presidential marching bands.
There it is.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, I was 18.
I was like, weird.
Is that why you got into ska?
Because you played like an instrument?
Yeah, I was, I mean, that's a part of it.
Yeah, yeah, because I played trumpet.
And, like, for me, the coolest thing I could be playing trumpet was in ska.
And I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, so this is me.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Oh, he'll be a rock star and a marching band, great.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Absolutely.
Oh, yeah.
And all the kids in marching band, we had a Scott band.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Which I've told you the story about the lip tones.
Yes.
Because we liked Lipton iced tea.
Oh, the lip tones.
like that.
The lip town.
Johnny Fedora.
Johnny Fedora.
Johnny Fedora, which is named after,
you know the old Disney cartoon of like the hats,
the two hats that fall in love that they like,
they get broken up.
They're in a hat shop.
It's called.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So it's the band.
The band was named after the boy hat,
which is exactly how you name us.
He's Johnny Fedora and Alice Blue Bonnet.
Alice Blue Bonnet.
Yep.
Beautiful.
A beautiful.
animation.
But that is,
like,
toy story
before toy story.
Yeah,
yeah.
Yeah.
It's like,
what would have hats.
Because that was the only
inanimate object
that people had
in their house back then.
Yeah, Jackie,
get in here to the
door's walking around.
Holy smokes.
She's horny for that top hat.
Johnny Fador does sound like
my Philly cousins,
like making fun of somebody with a
well,
yeah,
with a,
oh, Johnny Fador!
Oh,
Johnny Fador!
He showed up.
Jeet.
Jeet.
Yeah,
it's a scramble.

Hello, the internet, and welcome to season 4,
Episode 4 of Their Daily Zyxitechis!
It's production of IHartRadio is a podcast where you take a deep dive into
America's shared consciousness through the day is news.
Yeah.
We also have a new non-news version of the Daily Zykeyes dropping each Monday morning
called The Iconograph, where we do a deep deep.
dive into the zeit guys through the lens of
a different icon.
It's a little history
based. It's a little pop culture
based. We're currently in the midst
of spooky season.
And so we've done Dracula. We've
done Hannibal Lecter.
We've done good, good, good, good,
go, good, good, go, go,
go, good, go, good, go,
ghosts. Oh. And we got
our final one coming up.
It's a doozy.
These episodes drop on Monday with
icon in the title. They're a lot
of fun. But right here, right now,
it is Thursday, October 22nd, 2026.
Yep, it's National Nut Day.
Hell yeah, it is.
National Caps, International Caps Lock Day.
Shout out to everybody like me who loves to go all caps.
Yeah, exactly, my president, all caps.
Also, Scar Appreciation Day.
Shout out your scars.
Remember your scars.
Appreciate them.
Not.
I got this one on my hand.
This one on my hand was when I,
I went on a zip line, but I put, my kid had on his backyard and the parents like,
whatever you do, don't take the hand trolley and put it above the wire or else you'll get hurt.
I thought you grabbed the wire.
No, baseball, I said, oh, don't do that.
I'm seven.
I put the shit above the wire.
I go down and because I'm all unbalanced, the hand trolley slipped under.
Oh, no.
And then I just like, cauterized my hand on this steel wire.
It was crazy because it didn't hurt.
And I was like in shock and then I was like
Oh my buddy
Anyway, I was so sorry
I got this one from a smashing a cup on my
When I was a kid
Oh they don't
Oh they don't
Snakes don't bite
Snakes don't
What's that from
A plastic cup when I was a kid
Yeah
Or a snake
I told me you got that one
From eating pussy
All right that's a
Scarface reference
Okay
National Nut Day
National Nut Day
National Nut Day
Yeah speaking of National
Month Day
You told me you got that one.
My name is Jack O'Brien,
I watched two docks in the morning,
watch two docks at night.
Desert sand is too smooth,
concrete has no might.
That one courtesy of David Lesser on the Discord
in reference to my two-dock weekend,
Two-Banger.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, two-docks.
You can see everything.
And, of course, the underrated history of concrete,
where I learned all sorts of fascinating information about sand.
And where Chef Boyer D is buried.
Oh.
And a DMX Christmas album.
It's a John Wilson joint.
A John Wilson joint.
JWJ.
Thrilled to be joined as always by my co-host, Mr. Miles Gray.
Yo, just turned from a bat coming in from East Jabip and fifth is Delco, Dracula, aka Delcula.
Yeah.
Thanks for having me.
I want to suck your blood.
Hey, I want to suck.
Hey, I must have had a long, hey, gee?
No?
Before we do, why don't you go in there and make a toilet?
Yeah.
Instagram has made my brain not work.
Look, people know I'm in touch.
I'm a Sixers thing.
You're probably more in touch with the reaction to the Sixers win than I am.
Look, it's not even that I'm a Phil.
it, the algorithms don't think I'm a Philadelphia sports fan necessarily.
They just think I'm a lonely, like a middle-aged man who has maybe shared custody of a child based on like weird kids activities and
Delco that are happening? It's a real shared custody culture. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's been a long
hard road, you know, but we're getting through it. We're getting through it. I got my weekend
with the kid. So it'll be pretty good. I just got to remember not to get shit faced at chickies
and peats, you know? You know chickies and peats. Yeah, it's watching the angles down there.
Yeah. Chiggies and Pete. Thrill to be joined in our third seat by someone who is barely tolerating
this. A stand-up comedian who's got a hilarious special called Milk Job, you know, or from lady to lady.
The Warp Tour, the founder of the comedy record label, Burn This Record.
Yeah.
It's Brandy Poseny!
Brandy!
Hello!
So good to see you in person, Brandy.
I know.
I know.
I love your faces in 3D.
I love the 2D, but in 3D.
I know.
So handsome.
I know.
So, so handsome.
They're doing a lot of work.
Yeah.
It's been sitting here.
A lot of sculpting.
Yeah.
A lot of cool sculpting to your face.
Hammering.
Bone hammering.
Or bone smashing, I think.
Yeah.
Bone smashing.
No, like where they, this is what clivicular said.
He smash his jaw with a hammer to make it, I'm like, you're, that's stupid.
No, my bone smash until it's a national nut day, you know what I'm saying?
A, op top, hon.
Oh, top.
Yeah.
You know, watching you guys just parade my culture in front of me.
It is also, I come from.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, he does.
He does.
I love it.
They would not appreciate me doing this, though.
I can say, gosh.
They're going to bully you, like, you realize how you were.
Yeah.
Going to Philly was always like a big.
Yeah.
Experience for you.
They're going to be Philly to me.
Oh, my God.
Yeah, we were talking about there was an Instagram
clip of a guy who was like from Philly
and moved out.
I was like, what the fuck?
Yeah, people are like nice.
They're all waving to me.
And I was saying that I did the reverse commute
where I came from like Ohio
to Philly every summer
and was just like, hi.
And then...
Fresh fish.
Hey, look at Johnny.
Yeah, we've got Johnny Fonior over here.
Joe.
Shawley Fedora
Why are all of my uncles
chanting fresh fish?
It's spooky season.
Do you have your big 12 footer?
Oh, yeah.
Which one you got the witch?
No, I got the 12 foot skeleton.
The skeleton.
I got the 12 foot skeleton on the port on the side of the house.
I got two six foot skeletons on the porch.
And I got a little three foot guy next to the guest bathroom.
Damn.
Next to the guest bathroom.
So don't even like, like, before you walk in?
Before you walk in?
And he's motion activated me.
He sings and dances at you a little bit.
Oh, nice.
So if you try to sneak.
What's he working with?
What are we singing?
He sing, oh, God, hold on.
Can I get the song?
He goes, hello, all you ghouls.
Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun.
So it's an original work.
Dance around like fools.
The rhythm don't stop.
Yeah.
That's what he does.
The rhythm don't stop.
There's amazing writing happening in the world of like proprietary, like, original songs
and like what my flying witch says to people.
people is a bizarre, like, really sweaty, long walk to, like, get to, like, she's like,
how am I flying, you ask? I'll never tell. But then she, like, keeps talking at you. Like a lonely,
like older person? Well, it's starting to hold you. Yeah. Exactly. Like,
people are back in wet. Oh, you're leaving already? I'm trick-or-treating.
Joanne Fabrics used to have a skeleton that had the worst jokes in the entire game.
Like, I wish I could remember.
I have a picture of all of them somewhere,
but like, if you just Google it, you look it up.
The skeleton that Joanne's used to have, they were bad.
They were horrible puns.
I was just reading, because, you know, like in L.A. at Griffith Park,
they have a haunted hayride.
Sure.
And then in Long Beach, the Queen Mary gets all spooky.
Sure.
People who have gone have both been saying, like,
it's just chock full of AI bullshit now.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
All the songs are in fucking Suno abominations.
Like, there's so much AI generated.
video that it's like, people are like, it's weird.
Like it's not even like it.
I prefer lo-fi regular people creativity than like whatever this shit is.
Because it just I think so many people are used to hearing you going, this fucking AI.
Yeah.
That they're like, we've lost so much culture.
Yeah.
Really.
I was just on the ride over here because, you know, Hermesci and I share one car.
I was taking to Uber.
The driver was listening to a country station that was all AI.
What?
Yeah.
I, because I was like, whatever.
He's like, yeah.
That is the one.
Like, I've seen country.
songs hit, right?
There are like some country song hits that are AI.
I feel like that's the place that's been most accepted.
Maybe, but I just remember hearing and I was just like, not to be antagonistic.
I was like, oh, who is this?
Yeah.
Just to kind of see you.
And he's like, and he was just like, oh, it's just a YouTube station that I just turn
on with like country stuff.
And I was like, oh, this is all.
Like, you know, when you can hear the voice.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's so weird.
Glad you found this.
There's so much real music.
You could just listen to real country.
Ever.
Ever.
You could put on a country radio station.
Yeah.
Right.
Well, yeah.
I mean, I listen to AI country music, but it's so that it'll put my name into the songs.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
I got Jack O'Brien in old places.
Oh, you're just really just you horning another ones.
Yeah.
Country roads and Jack O'Brien.
Yes.
All right.
All about me.
Oh, yeah.
Brandy.
Yes.
We're thrilled to have you.
We're going to get to know you a little bit better.
Let's go.
First, we're going to tell the listener to a couple of things we're talking about.
We're going to talk about those dang protests over in France.
What the hell?
What the frick is going on with that?
What's wrong with those people?
They're burning stuff.
Yeah.
Oh, my stars and garters.
So we're going to talk about that because that is kind of the extent of the coverage in the mainstream media.
Nothing else.
You would think that merely France right now, just a bunch of people who are really just burning shit.
Yeah.
And to be fair.
bunch of freaking pirates.
True.
They do.
They do like to.
Makes great news.
Makes great visuals.
But yeah, I think the overarching thing is I think people who run corporate media,
they don't want people to connect a protest with like effectiveness.
So it turns into a thing of like, well, Paris is going to be destroyed because you let immigrants in.
And that's the angle that's sort of being pushed right now.
So we're going to talk about that.
We're going to talk about an update on the Good Morning America co-hosts.
There's a big story.
Like last month?
That's what I thought.
Remember, do you?
The mom?
Remember the Good Morning America co-hosts,
TJ Holmes and Amy Robach.
Okay.
They had good chemistry.
They had good chemistry on air.
Yeah, okay.
People are like, God, they have such good chemistry.
And they're like, and we're actually really good friends off air.
Like, our husbands and wives, like we all hang out together.
With keys and a bowl?
Not even.
Oh.
The secrets.
Because the Daily Mail then revealed like, oh, they're just dating.
They're straight up dating.
one another.
So that was where we left it.
That's where we left it.
We left it there.
Now their respective spouses together.
Oh.
It's been a full white swapo.
Wow.
Swap-o.
I mean, a happy ending.
I know.
For everybody, right?
Mm-hmm.
Exactly.
Nut day.
Up top.
Right there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Brain dazzle.
My California sent my sense of, I couldn't, I couldn't go there with you,
Cretans from the east there.
That's a Philly.
coming out on.
And then we'll talk
about Nathan Fielder, Elizabeth Holmes,
look-alike contest, Halloween costumes.
Look-a-like contest.
Yeah, I mean, Elizabeth Holmes seems to be an easy
one to do, probably.
Yeah, but I feel, people are saying you just wear, like,
the black turtleneck and the red lip.
I feel like the real trick is going to be to nail
this version of Elizabeth.
Yeah, yeah.
You need eyes.
For sure.
You got on those eyes.
I resent her for a lot of reasons,
but also the most popular.
thing I've ever made on the internet
was just a picture comparing
her to Chuck E. Cheese, because they have
the same vacant face.
And it
was the most popular thing
I've ever done. Yeah. I
started a comedy label.
Yes, I know, dude. I worked my
ass off and making so much good stuff.
Just throw that up.
A million. Do they look like, genius?
Oh my God, people are arguing
with me. You got the wrong mouse.
It's actually right. It is the correct answer.
God damn.
Your manager comes through and is like,
we have to change the name of the record label
to don't they look alike records.
Exactly.
And I'm just trying to be like,
who's another con artist?
Looks like a different mouse.
I'm just chasing it.
Fucking tilting over here.
Oh, no.
Should your Bolsonaro look like?
No, fuck.
Anything like Mighty Mouse.
All of that plenty more.
But first, we do like to ask our guests.
Yeah.
What's something from your show?
search history that's revealing about who you are.
Well, okay, I'm not a huge horror movie fan.
I like, I like spooky.
I don't like full on scary.
Okay.
So I recently, my boyfriend was watching backrooms and I was like, I was like, I'm just
going to read it.
So this is what I do with horror movies.
I mean to read it.
I went on Wikipedia and I just read the plot.
This is what I do with horror movies.
If I'm just like, I'd like to know.
Yeah, I'm into it.
All right, what's happening here?
Oh, that's what happens?
How long was it?
Like one paragraph?
because it's a lot of...
It was very short.
Then he goes into another room.
Yeah.
This one?
Also a back room.
Then his therapist don't believe.
Yeah.
It's not...
I walk in and I go,
I'm gonna get eyes on this.
Okay.
Now I know what it looks like.
Let's go read it.
Did you get to see his like weird abominations?
Yeah.
I saw that and I was like,
I don't...
I will not watch this,
but I will find out what happens.
This is how...
Honestly, it's how I watch most horror movies.
If I'm going to try to sit and watch something,
I will just...
I need to know what's happening ahead of time.
Oh, and that sort of disarms.
Yeah, yeah.
All right, I know where it's going.
Yes, exactly.
Yeah.
Because I'm that level of control freak.
Sure, sure, sure.
But yeah, I do the same thing when like a meme comes out from a horror film.
I just have to like, I'm like, I don't fucking tell me why.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, okay.
Okay.
So that's what happened to the older cult members in midsummer.
I see.
Exactly.
I'll start getting stressed out.
If I'm watching it, I'll be like, I'll just skip ahead and see what's happening.
Let me spoil this for myself.
Yeah, I love to spoil things.
Have you ever read something and been like, oh.
I mean, not really, but I was like, oh, Wikipedia.
No.
I never.
I thought backgrounds was terrifying because I'm scared of the color yellow.
Yeah.
So that really freaked me out.
Yeah, that kind of office space.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And that too.
I think the way I came away with it, I was like, it's cool visually, but it's saying nothing, but I expect that from a filmmaker so young.
Yeah.
It didn't quite have like a real sort of piercing message.
The thing that I liked was like, oh, this is kind of fucking weird.
Yeah. Good for you. I'm glad we made some just weird shit. Yeah. All right. I'm interested in the line between spooky and scary, though. What is the scariest movie you like? And what is the like one that's just right over the edge there for you? Like, I like a scream. I like yeah. I like a scream. I like evil dead one and two. I think that's pretty. I won't watch the new evil. But they're kind of campy. There's like there's like. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I need campy. I need like to. I need a tension break.
I guess the evil dead is like as much a love letter to Looney Tunes cartoons as it is like a scary horror movie.
Exactly. I can handle a couple of jumps. I don't like grim. I think I don't like just like a non-foney grim time. I don't want to watch a dead none. I don't want to watch like anything like super supernatural that's not like fun at all. Yeah. It's not not for me. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. Like 2x supernatural. Yeah. Super supernatural. Did you watch Who in Was Bay?
I did and it scared me.
that right on the line for you? That's right on the line. That's for me.
I was like, I liked Widows Bay because it has that.
Yeah. There's like, there's good, like,
comedic moments, but still being
freaky. Yeah.
Stuff happening in back rooms in that show. I'll tell you
what.
That's true.
Yeah.
It's
Pim.
Blakka.
Bikaska.
Okay.
Duggy fresh.
There it is.
Michael Winslow style.
I think this should just be what the show is.
I'm Michael Winslow.
You've got in full Michael Winslow.
Hey, Delco, man, what do you think about that?
Yeah.
I'll have some like sound effect.
Yeah, we did a little clacker thing.
Podcasts are at a point now where we're either becoming full talk shows or morning zoo clues.
Yeah, yeah.
We're fighting for our fucking lives right now.
Lugo, Lugo, Luga.
We're fighting for our fucking lives.
You don't know what we are.
man.
You don't know what it's like.
Brandy,
what's something you think is underrated?
Okay, I like doing my underrated
overrated together.
So my,
my,
my,
my overrated is,
um,
the descent of child stars.
Uh,
and my underrated is the descent of child influencers.
Because we haven't seen how dark
that's going to get yet.
Oh,
sure,
sure,
but we have seen so many things about how dark child stars,
how horrible their lives.
go, you know, whatever. But man, we're only just, I saw a child influencer today who, number
one, they shouldn't exist, just like child stars shouldn't exist. But they, I saw one today who, yeah,
of course, we're billionaires, you know. Billionaires, child influencers. I actually blame the child
influencers for the state of the world more than billionaires. That's a little thing about me in my
political position. Very like right wing, conservative take. Find out anything else. Yeah, yeah.
Anything else besides wealth disparity. I just saw a kid today whose whole thing is a love.
loves toilets.
And he's got, he's got like a million followers and they keep just sending.
He's like, oh, man, the tank.
He knows every part of a toilet.
Oh, okay.
And I was like, what's this going to be like at 40?
You're going to be a man that's just yelling about toilets on the internet?
He's like, eight or nine.
Yeah.
He's really young.
And like, that's a great video for your family.
Yes.
Why you monetize that and putting it on the internet.
Thank you.
And that like, if I was watching, I was like, this is going to be dark.
This is a dark life.
Because there's then pressure from outside to stay.
This is a thing.
Like kids go through very intense, very strange phase.
What's my identity?
Yes.
In one word.
Toilet.
Can't be like, can't have a manager like anchor you to that one thing.
We're like, I'm actually not that into toilets anymore.
Well, hey, we're getting a lot of heat on the toilet stuff.
So, man, let's go.
Let's keep them coming.
Let's keep them coming.
I've moved on to bathtub.
Oh, no.
There's already a kid.
You know Rachel Baths?
Exactly.
She's got a whole account.
Well, and like, I have an adult influence who have been following that up.
I've been watching her dissent happen.
And she now has, like, gone up.
She doesn't have the followers she used to.
And now she just, like, is doing TikTok hair tutorials in a warehouse with, like, five other women in front of ringlights.
And it's deeply dark to me.
Oh, like a content farm kind of thing.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And she'll show backstage.
Like, isn't it so fun?
And I'm like, this is black mirror ship.
But you're an adult who consented to this entire ride.
So, like, the kids that aren't even aware, it just, like, real.
I'm just like, oh, we have true bad things coming.
It's going to be different, right?
Because child actors, like, they're at the will of, like, the old traditional entertainment
industry that doesn't exist anymore.
And, like, these are, like, they're probably just getting tormented by their close family
who are their managers and shit.
Exactly.
But I think the closest comparison we have generationally, to me,
it feels like when kids were really good at sports in high school.
That was, like, the closest you could have a thing where they go,
why aren't you doing sports?
That was, like, your thing.
And everyone goes, their thing is sports.
Yeah.
That kid's good at football or baseball or basketball.
They're going to, they might be a professional one day.
And then you get to like, they don't get, they don't go D1 or they get injured.
Right.
And then like either, like I've seen kids have a real tough time with like readjusting your expectations for yourself in that sense.
Totally.
Or they kind of just like kind of get real.
And like actually I'm like a fucking Buddhist monk now.
Yeah.
Oh, good for you.
Yeah.
When one of the parents leaves their job.
When toilet kids influencer, dad is like.
I've stepped down from my position to really focus on.
He got 800,000 likes on his video.
Yeah, right.
Exactly.
The Toilid Kid is the breadwinner in the family.
Yeah.
Nothing good is coming.
We're going to build on this.
I think, yeah, it's like the lesson for, especially for something like social media, money,
like getting money from TikTok, Instagram stuff is like, dude, you, like, you fucking you got to act like that shit is not going to be forever.
Sure.
Yes.
You know so many.
Like, there's a, I was just reading about somebody who's like, like, one of these only fans people just bought like a, like, like, $9 million house or something.
And then, like, clearly the algorithm shifted.
And they're in a completely different landscape now.
And they're like, I don't know what to do or whatever.
It's like, you shouldn't have fucking, just fucking build a pile of money.
And then figure out what you're going to do.
Don't just spend like it's never going to fucking go.
You just like make the algorithm your God.
Did you ever see the one, like the guy who was doing all those weird videos with his kids.
and he like, they were like chasing the algorithm in these really weird ways.
And it ended up being like these videos, they made like hundreds of videos that had huge likes,
but it was out of a horror.
Like, because he's just there being like, I'm silly doopy dopey dad.
And like it was just like, the fuck.
I remember like with Ryan's toy reviews.
I remember we talked about how he started off with this kid doing toy reviews.
And then the dad like inserted himself in the feature film.
Yeah.
And like completely was like.
Like, I'm also good at Hollywood and you're like, you've totally ruined your kid's career because you insist you're actually also some kind of star.
Yeah.
Boy, it's just so dark out there.
Yeah.
Any anything where you're making your real life into a product that you're monetizing is really going to fuck with your head, like, as an adult.
Yeah, yeah.
As a kid, like, it's beyond, like, fucked up.
At least those, at least, you know, the Corey's got to come home from the set, you know?
Yeah, exactly. The phone wasn't a constant thing. You weren't like, you know, the algorithm wasn't driving you or not or like you weren't reading comments all the time, you know.
There's an amazing clip of Nathan Fielder going viral where he like did this video where he's at a like living in a content house with like 18 year old TikTok influencers.
Oh yeah, yeah. Oh, wow.
People are like rediscovering it because he's like becoming famous with people who didn't know about that.
but it's just, it is one of the darkest things you've ever seen where he's just like, you know, chasing them around.
He's like, I don't like them talking to their parents because it creates this like weird adult energy that like brings it down.
And then he's like, do you remember there were all like the Lime Scooter Houses around in like West Hollywood where there's just be like, like, oh, there's an influencer house here because there's just like gagglea kids on scooters with cameras outside.
You can just feel like, oh, there's like a, there's a bad place.
nearby.
Yeah. Yeah. I've been to a couple of them.
Like, they're not as good as you think they're going to be.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
They're always checking my ID or something.
I'm like, dude, I'm fucking 23 too.
What the fuck?
Come on. You never heard of it?
All right.
Let's take a quick break.
We'll come back.
We'll talk about France.
Yep.
Fuck is going on with those guys.
We'll be right back.

The question is, whose imagination do we want to live in?
This is going to determine the fate of nations and economies and the future of humanity.

And we're the host of Out of Character.
It's a podcast.
there's a lot of them going around. But why should you listen to ours? Well, we're only the best
podcast in the entire world. And we talk about pretty much everything under the sun. For example,
music we're listening to, underground music, trending music, drama in music worlds. Yes,
sometimes we even talk about just everyday mundane situations in our lives, like the cool Uber
driver we just had. Or the food we just say, that is surprisingly delicious. Or we'll talk about
the med gala and the looks that they wore. Or they're they, or they all.
awesome, are they trendy? Come find out. Because our opinion matters. And so does yours. And this is

For more than a century, Miss America sold the country of fantasy.
Well, all you ready, ladies? Okay, here we go.
But over the past decade, the crown's been slipping.
They said goodbye to swimsuits.
Now, hello to lawsuits.
I'm Bridget Armstrong.
Last season, we took you inside the world of America's next top model.
Now I'm back with season two of this podcast, Curse of Miss America,
investigating the rise, fall, and uncertain future of one of America's most iconic institutions.
The Miss America pageant.
I never received scholarship money to pay for my student loans.
He looks and he goes, you don't look like you.
He suffered an eating disorder.
It's gray, but looks too ethnic.
It's a story the Miss America organization really doesn't want us to tell.
An exploitation of our Miss America's is treated by the Miss America organization
as an attack on Miss America itself.
Listen to The Curse with Miss America on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Lisa, we should tell them about our new show.
Oh my God, Lexi.
We have a new podcast.
It's called Don't Lie to Me.
I'm Lexi Youanu.
We're two best friends, 22 years apart, but so close at heart.
And I'm Lisa Di Giulio, the old one, which means we have wildly different references,
occasionally different opinions, and at this point in my 50s, I've lived it all.
I'm not going to get anywhere fighting.
That is wild.
I learned that about you today.
Now in my 30s, being the founder of new shoes, good taste is my business,
and I've always got something to say.
If men were just honest about this, there would be so much more peace in the world.
We're going to talk about dating, relationships, beauty, getting older, and a little wiser.
We're best friends, but we don't always agree.
Because you told us how accommodating you are.
Obviously, I would do what I think I could do to fight the fight, but there's only so much fight I can fight.
Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me.
Lyer.
Listen on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
Or wherever you get your podcast.
I don't really care.
And we're back.
We're back.
You've seen this?
You heard about this?
Do you see this?
France?
You heard about these?
That is like a...
I feel like the level of introspection that is happening in response to this is like the J. Leno level of introspection where they're like, seen this?
You heard about this?
No French Revolution, I guess.
A bunch of dancing French fries.
They're burning their baguettes over there.
It looks like burning your baguettes.
The fuck are you talking?
about.
Pepi Lapewue is the resistance.
Yeah.
Whoa, I bet they're saying it's sacro blue, huh?
What?
That's not what's going on.
You fucking, I mean, yeah, the, obviously the protests that we, you know,
started a few weeks ago.
Right.
Originating from young people saying our public education system is fucking falling apart.
Yeah.
We don't have.
Demonstrably, noticeably.
Yeah.
We don't have these videos.
To get into higher learning because of the system that exists right now.
now, we feel like our fucking futures are being robbed before our eyes and we are children.
Yeah.
And that morphed into a lot of other, you know, coalesced into a much larger thing where people
are also talking about the cost of living.
And there's protests everywhere happening right now.
Yeah.
Across the globe.
Costa Rica.
In Africa, there's all kinds of things.
People are living under the same pressures of inequality.
And we're seeing the breaking point get more and more vivid right now.
again, that's for people who bother to actually be like, well, why are they protesting?
Because I think for us, we go, well, you're protesting because something's terribly gone wrong.
And you're trying to get them word out and you're trying to demonstrate, you're doing something,
you're bringing attention to something.
Right wing media has now turned this into their like big October story to try and get more conservatives to the polls.
Yeah.
You know, the media matters did like this whole analysis where they're like, man, the emphasis on these French protests is crazy outsized,
considering like this is a midterm, like going into the midterm peak season right now,
not as much mention aside from the look what they're doing there.
And this is also because they allow Muslim people and progressives,
leftists to have this green red alliance.
And this is what you get.
The green red alliance.
Yeah.
Media Matters pointed out that it's kind of predictable that Fox is going to have something to freak out
about like in the run up.
usually something happening in another country.
So 2014, Ebola.
I didn't remember that they were like,
Ebola's coming for you.
Democrats want you to have Ebola.
That was a hard one to connect the dots to.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But that's D-tier.
2018, migrant caravans.
The caravans was big.
Did way bigger numbers to the Ebola.
It was crazy how they just completely disbanded
the day after the election.
Yeah.
The migrant caravans just,
they were heading very slowly
towards the border.
It was like one of those things
you like cut back and forth.
Yeah, which is funny.
It's like, wait, so the Democrats win the House
and then they're like, all right, no more caravans.
Yeah, caravan actually went away.
You get that harder and be like, what happened?
They won.
America's crime crisis in 2022.
Yep.
And now we've got, of course,
the French rioting and looting.
Yep.
That's what the Democrats want for you.
Yeah.
It's a very, like, again,
all of this emphasis purely
being about completely removing the responsibility of this state and just focusing on young people
and going, oh, they're burning things down. I see constant posts on the internet, like on Blue Sky or not
Twitter or Instagram, where clearly they're just feeding like this like sensational like footage
to just feed like people this sort of sentiment that like, well, protesting is bad. And obviously like,
sure, I think most people are like, yeah, you don't make your point by burning down like some small
little cheese shop or whatever.
Sure.
Yeah.
But again, there's also, you know, there's so many people who take advantage of these moments, too.
Agent provocateurs, as they're called.
That's what I call them.
Yeah.
Our agent provocators.
Yeah.
At that point, we engaged the agent provocator.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And again, this is just, it's such, I think, a really convenient marriage of talking points for conservatives
because domestically, they're dealing with the rise of progressive policies and politicians and
even, you know, people further left of even progressives that are gaining traction.
And you have our good old, our inbuilt love of, rather not love of xenophobia or our hatred
of foreigners in America.
So like being it, this is what you get when you let foreigners in your country plus progress
equals everything burns down.
Plus, we love to shit on the French.
Yeah, they do.
I mean, it's crazy.
I'm like, they're amazing, amazing people that actually don't take shit from their government at all.
Yeah.
We could take a lesson.
God damn.
It's wild.
And like, I just want to point at this other thing I was reading, right?
There was this op-ed and business insider.
Yeah.
Where this was it.
So all the other scaremongering didn't work on me.
You know, they were like, this is coming for you.
I'm like, oh, because people can't afford to live.
And they're like, no, because, uh,
Muslims. And I was like, okay, that doesn't really make sense. But then this one actually scared me.
This is, I just want to read the headline of this. Yeah. I went to parish to see Celine Dion in memory of
my mom. I ended up trapped in an Uber during the riots. Yeah. Yeah. So it could happen to you as well.
Oh, Randy, does this look like somebody who's in touch with the anger of the proletarian? Oh, no. So this woman
has like a leopard skin
leopard spin coofe
almost
feels very African
feels very good
coming to America
it's an essay
written by this woman
Rebecca Mack
who's a
who owns cosmetic
finance group
let's take a second
it was written by Claude
yes sure sure
this is not a
I don't think she's a writer
the preamble says
this as told to
Claude essay
or chat GPT
so yeah she owns
a cosmetic finance group
Yeah, she does.
A finance company.
She owns a finance company.
And MC Aesthetics, a cosmetic clinic group.
She again, this is how it starts off.
My mom, I went to Paris to see Celine Dion in memory of my mom.
My mom had loved Celine for years.
We had tickets to see her before the pandemic in Manchester before she died, but the show was canceled.
She never got to see her perform.
She goes on to then do all this stuff about how she said she was at the hotel.
And the hotel people said, don't go out.
there, you're the perfect victim.
Oh.
And so this whole thing is about how she was too scared to leave because the people told her she was
the perfect victim.
She was in an Uber and she was stuck and she was so scared that she said the Uber driver
made me get out, but we said, no, not in the riots.
And then luckily the cops moved some of the barricades so cars could travel to the venue.
Oh, my God.
And then it's so the last part.
I just want to read the, where's the last sentence here?
Don't make me get out.
It's rioting outside right now.
Yeah. She said, I'm so grateful I saw Celine on Friday. It is a memory I'll remember forever.
Oh, so she ended up seeing her. So she made it. So she made it. She made it to the show.
Jack, she got scared on the way there.
Oh, she got scared. She got scared. She got scared. Yeah.
Hey, go try to see Celine in Philly.
Yeah. All right? She says, I'm so grateful I saw Celine on Friday. It is a memory I will remember forever.
But I'm very upset and disappointed because I do like to go to Paris quite a lot.
the whole experience made me lose my love for Paris a bit.
Wow.
There wasn't a single fucking word.
No.
About what was happening.
It was just that we're here.
Guys and masks were burning stuff and yelling and banging on my Uber window.
And I was almost late to the Celine Dion concert.
And now I'm like not really into Paris as much.
You're losing.
Yeah, it's like the billionaires who are like when Mammani gets elected, we're moving out.
She's like, if this happens again, like three more.
times I might stop going to Paris.
It'll be late to Celine Dion's also like, get my name out of your fucking
right.
Yeah.
And again, a lot of people in France are like, this is important.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like we understand why these people are fresh.
We're fucking, we got our backs to the wall too, but we're so older.
We're older and tired.
Yeah.
Our ability to push back is not as dynamic as young people who have so much more to
fucking fight for.
It's their future.
Yeah.
And yeah.
So again, this, this whole.
thing too. The other thing that I really realized, too, this is also elegantly increases Islamophobia,
which is very, I'm sure, welcomed for people who are, you know, defending what Israel is doing, too.
Because drumming up more Islamophobia makes, it makes what's happening in Gaza more excusable, right?
If like, if the tone of Islamophobia is like, well, yeah, yeah, Islamophobia is kind of like de facto at this point.
Then it makes it much harder to empathize with what's happening in Palestinian people.
But it's just, it's a very opportunistic moment to use that. And again,
You know, because they're even using, and a lot of this coverage, you're like, you want to see these other, these other hybrid leftist Islamists.
Right.
Look his Zorayanamem.
Sure.
Look, you freaking.
Yeah, look what he's done already.
Look what he's done.
Look at Abdul-El-Sai.
Look at what the latest headline is about Zaramam Dani.
He said he's looking into making sure companies don't force you to use AI chatbots.
And if you need to speak to a human, that it's a very easy option to speak to a human to have your problem solved.
Yeah.
You happy now, New York?
Yeah.
Are you happy now?
I was just in New York, the rats are skipping with joy down the streets.
Oh, yeah.
The vibes are immaculate.
I saw the rats doing, uh, we'll do before they were going to the temple.
For the mosque, they were going to pray.
It is a very easy story to connect, uh, what, what's happening in France and like, what's
happening politically with this election.
It would just be like, well, they seem unhappy with affordability.
The very thing that's driving, you know, a potential blue wave in America.
And somehow they've, that's.
That doesn't get mentioned at all.
Yeah.
And they've, like, found this way to, like, pretzel themselves.
It's Muslims and Leshists and Blue Hair have decided to come together and burn everything down.
If they win the election, this is what Democrats are.
Yeah.
What's what we're going to, Chuck Schumer is going to dye his hair blue.
Yeah.
He's going to get in those streets.
What he has, he's got that blue barco at the top of his head, slick back.
Yeah.
Looking great.
Real piece of shit.
Looking great.
Oh, God.
It's frustrating because the message,
I think it's so clear to people who understand what the stakes are,
but then you have an entire media apparatus and like right-wing propaganda machine.
Because also this is helping elevate like right-wing voices in France too.
Of course.
All the American freaks are like, well, look at what this guy said.
He's over there.
Yeah.
And we get, again,
trying to separate people from understanding what, like,
how exactly their oppression is playing out like in their day.
day-to-day life.
Yeah.
And connecting it to all the problems we have here in the country and being like,
hey,
we're actually all the same and like,
let this empower you to also stand with your business, you know?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And it's not just like Fox News and right wing,
you know,
it's,
you know,
they're protesting against McCrone.
McCrone is like,
these are outside agitators who are burning things down.
You know,
they want it to seem like,
you know,
there's an article in the Atlantic.
Jacobin,
like,
kind of quoted this article by,
this guy who sounds like very working class,
Thomas Chatterton William.
Oh.
Oh, Chatterton.
Are you for the name of Mr. Chacheton Williams?
Shuttle William.
Yes.
I can feel how small the chin is.
Much of the protesting by students has become an exercise in nihilistic resentment
beneath the pretext of school reform.
And then he just, like, connects everything back to, like, this is not how to do it.
You know, they're always asking for protesters to do it in a way that's, like, more convenient,
which kind of doesn't really align with it.
And also, to be fair, Mr. Chatterton Williams definitely went to an all-boys boarding school where he was beaten every day by a headmuffs.
Yeah, he'll get.
Heder gut, Chatterton.
The gutt today, I suppose.
Today's gut day.
It is the spice of lup.
Oh, I think your fist touched my spine.
I'll duel you after lunch.
I must go to the infirmary after that.
I do think that this is something that we're in for as, you know, cost of living becomes a bigger and bigger, clearer and clearer issue that people, that is, like, driving, you know, people to protest and push back around the country and, like, vote in certain directions is just completely getting rid of that context because it's not just the right that can't acknowledge that. It's also the, you know, neoliberal, like, mainstream Democratic Party and the, you know, you know,
New York Times and the Atlantic and people like that.
So they have to find a way to obscure that message and make it about something.
Yeah.
That's not.
Behold them to capital.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, yeah, the other thing, too, that doesn't ever get talked about, too.
The fucking French police also.
Like, fucking kill, like murderous shit they're doing.
You know what I mean?
Like, there's, it, I think that's the thing.
We've all, we all have seen this version in our, whatever country you live in,
to some degree, right?
Like, I can look at that.
Surely, obviously, to the extent that the protests are happening in France,
it isn't really like what the kind of stuff we normally see in the U.S.
maybe save like 2020.
But we're also acutely aware of, you know, the police's love of state violence.
Sure.
To silence people.
When again, they have legitimate grievances.
This isn't just kids being like, oh, frigging scooter e-bikes are too expensive.
I can't do a wheelie down to Champ Salis.
They're fucking, they're fucking, they're, like that's a thing that.
You can't do a wee-wee-wee down the shop.
A wheelie.
I thought we said we, we, we.
I was like, a wee-wee.
A wee-wee.
Just getting that thing on one wheel, bro.
But again, like, the thing that really, it's so vivid for me is because, you know,
you think, again, we think about how much our future is going to completely depart from
what we thought it's going to be.
Yeah.
You know, whether it's from a climate standpoint or inequality thing.
And to see that these people at this age are so clear about, like, how few options they're going to
have because of this current system we live under, it breaks my heart.
And also I'm just like, this is people, more people need to actually understand and see
what's happening here.
Yeah.
No, and it's our job to the fucking back them.
Yeah, exactly.
And, you know, be like our, our future's tied to them.
They're the future.
Yeah.
Yeah.
This guy on Instagram was saying something like, it was just like sort of like, you know,
sometimes when you're older, you got to learn how to ride side car.
Yeah.
Someone else's revolution.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And just, and figure out how you rah, rot and support it.
And I'll tell you what, millennials are real good of that side car.
We never got to be in the front seat.
We're bros.
Hey, we'll make some good memes.
Yeah.
I'll bring food too.
Look, Elizabeth Holmes looks like Chuckie cheese.
Yeah.
Hey, it's the Elizabeth Holmes looks like Chuckie Cheese, lady.
Can we just do it with a little less property damage, though?
Yeah.
It is, they're like, these are outside agitators.
They've had 7,000 arrests since the protest started, and 85% of them are between the ages of 14 and 18.
Yeah.
I was like, yeah, I don't think it's outside agitators.
I think it's our show of students.
Yeah, yeah, they use outside agitators to try and say, like, they're not that mad.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
Rather than like trying to explain like the property damage or whatever, it's like, no, they're not, this isn't actually people who have a grievance without we're doing things here.
They're just agitating for something like this.
No, exactly.
Also, I can't believe this lady did not take the opportunity to go steal herself or May's bag or something like that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like she looks at the time to be like, oh, it's time to go shopping.
I know.
She was like, until we were stopped beside a Louis Vuitton store that was being ransacked.
And I said, do they have anything in a Europe 42?
Let's take a quick break.
And then we're going to come back and we're going to talk about what everybody's here for,
which is a conversation about wife swapping.
We'll be right back.

For more than a century, Miss America sold the country a third.
fantasy.
Well, are you ready, ladies?
Okay, here we go.
But over the past decade, the crown's been slipping.
They said goodbye to swimsuits.
Now, hello to lawsuits.
I'm Bridget Armstrong.
Last season, we took you inside the world of America's next top model.
Now I'm back with season two of this podcast, Curse of Miss America,
investigating the rise, fall, and uncertain future of one of America's most iconic institutions.
The Miss America pageant.
I never received scholarship money to pay for my student loans.
And he looks at me and goes,
you don't look like you suffered an eating disorder.
It's great, but looks too ethnic.
It's a story the Miss America organization
really doesn't want us to tell.
An exploitation of our Miss America's
is treated by the Miss America organization
as an attack on Miss America itself.

I'm not going to get any of your fighting.
That is wild.
I learned that about you today.
Now in my 30s, being the founder of new shoes,
good taste is my business,
and I've always got something to say.
If men were just honest about this,
there would be so much more peace in the world.
We're going to talk about dating, relationships,
beauty, getting older, and a little wiser.
We're best friends, but we don't always agree.
Because you told us how accommodating you are.
Obviously, I would do what I think I could do
to fight the fight,
but there's only so much fight I can fight.
Don't lie to me.
Don't lie to me.
Don't lie to me.
Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me.
Liar.
Listen on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
I don't really care.
And we're back.
And, man, first of all, this is just a story about the fact that we've been doing this show for way too long.
The story was four years ago.
Really?
Really?
Really?
Yeah.
Oh.
Yeah.
I just remember at the time, it was just like one of those things.
It was like, it was kind of like this love story too.
Like they love each other though.
It was just funny.
As a nation did the K-I-S-I-N-G.
Oh, TJ and Amy sitting in a tree.
So again, yes, this is the story about the Good Morning America anchors, T.J. Holmes and Amy Roboc.
They were married at the time.
And they said they had great chemistry.
Not to one another.
To the Blois.
friggin outed them as a couple.
And they went public.
And then everyone was like,
oh,
wow,
they're together.
People loved it.
People loved it.
People loved it.
People loved it.
And there was no,
I'm not sure if it was necessarily
like a salacious affair,
if they were like legally married or whatever,
regardless.
Yeah.
I have a feeling when you're married with another person,
it's probably not the best situation for the other spouse.
So now we're hearing something out of a TV show.
Their exes.
are now about to get married.
What?
So Amy Robox X, Melrose Play star, Andrew Shoe,
yes, brother of Elizabeth Shoe, if you had to ask.
And Marilee Fibig, who is T.J. Holmes' ex,
are now officially engaged.
Wow.
Now, T.J. and Amy, they just got married last,
like last month or some shit.
But this is what Andrew Shue had to say.
He's very grateful and hopeful about the engagement
and said that after growing closest friends,
He and Marily have found their, quote, happy ending together as they plan their wedding.
National Nutte.
Oh, boy.
I think there it is.
Damn it.
Damn it.
We were almost a news show.
Now we're back to Morning Zoo.
He's a, he was a member of Cobra Kai.
Oh, shit.
Andrew Shoe?
Andrew Shoe was apparently.
He was Peter from Cobra Kai.
Oh.
I mean, they're good looking couple, though.
They are handsome couple.
They look great.
They're kind of hotter than TJ and Amy.
They are.
I actually think so, yeah.
I'm happy for everybody.
involved? Do you think the exes get invited to the wedding?
I don't know.
Yeah, where are we on speaking terms?
We're all just good.
You know, what if, yeah, what about that?
This is him and Cobra Coy. He's not one of the main blondies.
He's just kind of a background Cobra Cuy.
Jack, that could be you.
That could be me.
Oh, wow.
You should get a black karate guy one year.
Cut the sleeves off, dude.
Be Cobra Cai.
I like over laugh because I already have one.
Yeah.
Yeah.
get one next year or something.
Oh, yeah.
Definitely don't already have one.
Sweat stands under the arms.
Are you okay?
Yeah, but I feel like I see stories like this.
You hear about like, oh, people ended up with the other person's spouse, but it's usually
like elderly people who are like, they're like, we were the four best friends until our
partners died.
Yeah.
And then we are now together.
And then rather than going through the process of meeting someone new, we just figured
why not, you know?
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
I think the best example, the most famous example,
there were two Yankees pitchers who were pitchers on the same rotation
for the Yankees in the late or early 70s.
And they, their families hung out together all the time.
That starts.
Exactly.
So this is a lesson to anyone, okay?
That's why our wives don't ask too much.
She's like, are you worried about Miles and Jack?
You got to have an Ugo couple friend.
That's how you keep it.
That's how you keep a good.
No,
don't hang on your podcast, host friends.
No, no, no.
Widely known for trading families with teammate Mike Kekich in the early 1970s.
It's pronounced Kukkich.
And it should be because it's kind of wild.
I always heard the story that they switched,
but it was really like,
it's clearly this one couple wanted it and the other couple was just like,
okay.
They like didn't stay together for more than a couple weeks.
The other couple.
that's a lot of trauma bonding
not really anything.
The couple that
lasted to old age
was like a guy
who was an all-star pitcher
and so he basically was like
hey I think we should trade
wives to the guy who
after they traded wives
he was traded away like that season
after it went south
so it's like really
wait I don't understand
that's how it was just
it was just a proposal
he's like, hey, bro, what if we don't know exactly what happened?
What we know is they came to spring training in March, 1973,
and announced that they were trading wives and children.
Oh.
Yeah.
Are they just so it to get the wives to go along with it?
Are they so sports brain?
We're like, yeah, we're doing a draft.
Yeah.
Yeah, there's a bracket system for which wife.
She's like, first big.
I'm actually going to take your son, dude.
He seems pretty cool.
No, you're cool, too, junior.
You're cool, too, junior.
Look, if you're around in the next, if you're around in the next round, I'll definitely, I'll
think about you.
The stats on this kid, though.
Yeah.
Peterson and the former Susan Kekich remained married, but the relationship between Kekich and
Marilyn Peterson only lasted a few months.
Oh, man.
The kids were, just had to be given back to the store, I guess.
I don't know.
Did they have a receipt?
By June, the Yankees traded Kekich.
Oh, man.
Oh, wow.
So Peterson, like, must just be world-class, like, sociopath.
Because he got, he was like, okay, I get your wife, I get your kids, and then I go to the Yankees, and I'm like, that didn't actually work out.
Now it's kind of awkward for me to be around him.
And the Yankees are like, yeah, get this deadbeat out of here.
Feeling like that's where I'm kind of in a slump right now.
Because he's around.
It's kind of freaking me out.
Yeah.
Did they go to the World Series that year is the question.
Like how, what's his record look like after the switch?
Because this could just be like a super, maybe it's a superstitious thing.
Oh, yeah, baseball players are super superstitious.
They finished second in the AL East in 1970.
Not good enough.
Wait, what season was this, you said?
This was 73.
Oh, 73.
They finished fourth in the ALE East.
Wow.
Yeah.
Not worth it.
I wonder why.
Like, you hear about, you know, clubhouse problems.
I can't imagine why this would have caused any.
What's like Peterson's explanation?
Oh, Miles, it's actually a pretty beautiful story, according to Peterson.
A quote, it's a love story.
It wasn't anything dirty.
Peterson told a reporter in 2013.
Yeah.
I could not be happier with anybody in the world.
Mama and I go out and party every night.
No.
We're still on the honeymoon and it has been a real blessing.
That's in 2013.
That's in 2013.
He is like, it's a love story.
Yeah.
You think, have you seen?
I think you should leave.
I basically did the relationship equivalent of,
give me that.
Give me that.
My wife?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Kekich.
You can have my wife, please.
You want a bite of mine?
A bite.
No, no.
You get out of here.
Is Mike Kekich okay?
And the other lady are they okay?
That's a tough one.
Yeah.
Family style.
You're doing a relationship spooka de Beppo style.
Oh my God.
In 74, he went to Japan to play baseball.
Damn, man.
Oh, man.
You come over with your family and they're like,
oh, have you dined with us before?
We do things a little bit differently here.
I get your wife and kids.
We do things different.
Give me that.
What?
You can have mine if you want,
but you probably don't.
But, you know, if you want,
I'm a little bit tired of them.
Wow.
He went,
oh, so first he went to Cleveland,
then he went to,
you know.
You love to see it.
You do love your Fritz Peterson.
Yep.
Patterson.
We were actually talking about the
famous show Wife Swap for some reason,
and Super Producer Justin
for some reason,
pointed out that there was a Chappelle show
sketch called Spousewap.
Trading Spouses.
Trading spouses.
Trading spouses.
And that actually came before the TV show Wifestwap.
Somebody saw that and was like,
let's do that.
Wait a second.
I wonder if like the trading spaces,
people were like,
their first idea was Wife Swap.
And then they're like,
let's ease the public into this concept.
What if people switched rooms in their house?
houses to sign. And then we'll get up to that. Yeah. Yeah. There's an era of reality TV that was
so much more on hinge. They were like human rights violations basically. And also like the way
they were produced. I had a friend who like worked on a limidate. You remember that one?
Oh yeah. That was that MTV one. Yeah. No, no. Elimidate. It's a truck full of suitors,
right? It was like a truck for them, right? Yeah. A limit. And it would go a limit date. And yeah,
exactly. They'd come out of a bus. And yeah. I think you're thinking of next.
MTV's next, I believe, because
let me use my stupid
memory for that one.
All of those shows at the time, like
shipmates, do you remember shipmates?
Where they would put a blind date couple on a
fucking cruise ship?
Wow.
And then just feed them fucking alcohol and like let
the shit just completely devolve on camera.
Like where you'd see, like, looking from our
perspective now, like, this guy's like an abusive
fucking freak who's losing it because he thought like
this one was going to hook up with him and he's too drunk
to like figure it out.
Yeah.
And that was just like the whole form.
Matt. I don't know. Do let the guy crash out on camera.
Drunk. Yeah, yeah. It's shocking. No one got thrown
overboard. That we know of. That we know of. That's very true.
We know of. Yeah. So much of reality
television is like, what if like we got people drunk but didn't acknowledge that
they were drunk and just pretended this is how people behave? Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
Behind the scenes are like, you need more boots? Any more boots?
I think you're a little thirsty.
Yeah. Another friend worked on Jersey Shore, like who used to work on Real World.
And I remember she was saying that that first season,
they were so used to the production culture of boozing up your cast people
to get them to do shit on camera.
She was like,
this was the first show.
We didn't do a single fucking thing.
Because they were just getting after it themselves.
And they were like, hey,
we're about to go to this other place.
I'm like, what?
I thought you guys were hanging out.
Like, no, no, we're going up.
Like, shit, okay.
We got the camera crew together.
And they're like, they were fucking moving.
They could barely keep up.
They couldn't keep up with the fucking Jersey Shore cast people.
They were natural.
They knew. They were in their element.
They were in their element.
Man, well,
congrats to the happy newish couple.
Yeah.
I hope they go the distance.
I hope so.
If anything out of spite.
If anything, just.
How much, like, that is a good interview question.
Like, some of it is spite.
You're like 5%?
Is it 40%?
Yeah.
How much of it is you picturing the other couple in your head as, you know?
I think that's hard to, hard to stop at a certain point, you know.
Yeah. I get it.
Yeah.
Wonder if they're, or if they're like,
who it's actually none of that.
Like, we don't think about that at all.
Like, they don't know,
they don't realize that that's what it's about.
Yeah.
Or the Good Morning America.
I don't watch the show.
Are they still the hosts?
No, no, no.
I think they moved on.
Yeah.
I think they were fired for it, right?
Or like one of them was.
Yeah, it could have been.
It feels like you're treated like a scandal in a way that I was like,
well, not really.
According to them, they said functionally,
They were all saying like the marriages were pretty much over.
Sure, sure.
So it wasn't like, so they weren't, that's why these couples are not being like,
they're cheating pieces of shit.
They were just like, yeah, shit was fucking cooked anyway.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I will say this.
He did say, this is what Andrew Shue said, quote,
I had to accept my own part in marriage not working out for me.
And is, and like in not understanding myself well enough and not understanding what
matters in a relationship well enough to find the right person for me.
And that has been an extraordinary gift.
I had to grow through a lot of pain and a lot of struggle and a lot of humility.
I think the magic of love is when you go.
from a need to giving.
Hey, that's a man, that's been just some therapy.
Hell yeah.
So, like, it feels very like, everyone's kind of like,
yeah, all as well, it ends well, pretty much.
Good.
Yeah.
You know, good for everybody.
And I'm saying, bro, this is the hotter couple, man.
Yeah.
You guys are killing it.
You guys are killing it.
This is what it should have been.
I will say the story update that I'm waiting for is the wife of the guy from the
Coldplay concert.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Hooking up with Chris Martin from Coldplay.
Oh.
Oh, that would be.
That's a fun full circle.
That would be a lot of fun with that.
Yeah.
I'm doing the Britney Brosky to that one.
Yeah.
Okay.
National Nut Day and D.
Yeah.
And finally, continued fallout.
From the hit movie, you can see everything.
Oh, yeah.
Have you seen it?
No, yeah.
Oh, okay.
No, I've been.
Never mind.
No, I've read a lot of bad.
I just haven't had three hours.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's worth your three hours.
But we've moved to the next phase of this being like a culture phenomenon.
Yeah, it's going to be, it's one of the top couples costumes for Halloween costumes this year.
I don't think about that.
Nathan Fielder and Elizabeth Holmes, which people are set.
You could always go as Billy Evans and Pamela Henderson, which is a reference that you don't get, but...
Not yet.
Not yet, but you will.
And you'll love it.
Our writer jam was pointing out that, like, I think people are just going with black
turtleneck bright red lip for Elizabeth Holmes.
Yeah. But for Nathan, the thing that you really need to lock down is that $7.99
Hamilton Bull schoolmate headphones.
Yeah.
Wow.
People, they got the exact model.
I had this in the back of my mind the whole movie.
He's, so he's like listening to the audio that they're getting the whole time.
So he has these headphones on the whole time.
And they look like the old.
oldest, like the ones that are made out of that cheap black foam, you know, that's like,
has a lot in common with the sock they give you when you're trying on shoes at the,
like, really cheap.
Oh, fully disposed.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I was, I was assuming that, like, that can't be what it, that it has to be, like,
some expensive piece of sound equipment that he's, that just looks like that.
I have a feeling like, if it's, like, the sound guy who's providing it,
it's probably part of, like, a whole kit for that whole wireless setup for him to have the
monitor that like the guy with the cans is like, dude, I blow through these fucking things
constantly.
I'm not going to fucking spend 100 bucks.
I get them for eight.
They don't need to be super high fidelity.
They get the job done.
Thank you, Hamilton Bull, school mate, head phone.
Yeah, it's like a waitress with a pen.
You borrow it.
They lose it.
They're like, no, I'm not getting the good stuff.
You're just getting the cheap shit.
This is a fucking bick full.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I have fun with it.
Also, multiple lookalike contests being held in New York, a Timothy Shalmay contest.
New York is a fucking, like, capital.
of like impromptu lookalike contest.
Is it in Washington Square Park?
Like all of them are?
It is in Washington Square Park.
I imagine so.
1 p.m. Sunday, October 25th in Washington Square Park.
Elizabeth Holmes, Nathan Fielder lookalike contest.
And then there's also just Nathan Fielder lookalike contest happening.
I'm just really excited for all the guys that are going prematurely gray to just really have their season.
Let's go.
It's always looked good, but now you're even more validated.
It's great.
Yeah.
I feel like Brent Weinbach kind of looks like.
Yeah, he could do well for sure.
Yeah.
I mean, he's got his own thing going.
Right.
Obviously, but you know.
Yeah.
I think Nathan Fielder should enter Brent Weinbach look away contest.
Let's talk about that.
Yep.
What about that maybe?
Yeah, Nathan, you too good?
What's going on?
I feel like he's going to show up to these himself.
Yeah, probably.
If anything, this was put on by Nathan Fielder as like a larger sciop.
Yeah.
And he's just like, he's going to be in the shadows like this.
How many times he's going to see the CIA's approach to him had been like, hey,
Yeah.
Would you be interested?
He's like, no, I'm Canadian.
We love the way your mind works.
Yeah.
We have a little bit of that juice.
Yeah.
It would be really interesting.
Oh, man.
He's like, what would you have done with Gaddafi?
Yeah, yeah.
Just kind of like, just, I'm kind of big.
I'm going to see how you think about stuff.
How do we know he wasn't already?
How do we know that Venezuela was not just a like buzz marketing campaign for that
sweatsuit, you know?
I mean, honestly, it could, I don't put anything faster.
The Nathan Fielder episode, he goes to a struggling Nike.
Yeah.
And he's like, and the challenge, get the Nike tech suit trending again.
And he's like, okay, we're going to take Maduro and you put him in a Nike tech suit.
Send him 20 of these for free.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Just see.
Just see.
I mean, then it also lost all of its fucking cool factor when like fucking Ted Cruz and those other joker started wearing tech suits to be like,
yeah, look, my fucking.
Well, not all of his schemes work.
That's true.
That's true.
Yeah, we don't know about the graveyard of failed schemes that he's got going on.
Yeah, yeah. I'm sure there's for every, for every episode that we see, there had to have been like three to five threads that just completely went dry on them, that they're like, yeah, we can't. This isn't going to go anywhere.
Yeah.
It is there are these like series of billboards that play into you can see everything that I remember driving to a recording, taking pictures of and being like, what the fuck is this like a Nathan Fielder scheme?
The like founders, inventors.
Oh, that thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's so weird that it did end up tying in.
And then you end up finding out in a very weird way.
Again, check out.
Check out if you've got three hours.
Yeah.
I'm looking forward to it.
Yeah.
Brandy Posi.
Hey.
Such a pleasure having you as always.
Thank you.
It's good to be here.
Good to see.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Oh, my God.
Thank you.
Do what?
Uh, Brandy, where can people find you?
Uh, I am all.
on the Instagram and the threads at Brandazel.
My record label, Burn This Records is on Instagram and YouTube.
Subscribe on YouTube.
Hey, we are also extremely close to monetizing our YouTube channel.
How many more you need?
I need 500 hours.
500 hours.
So close.
All of content uploaded.
No, no, no, of just.
Of people watching.
500 hours.
We're watching.
Yeah, yeah.
Which I know you guys can do that.
Did you get to the one?
Because I remember before you need a certain subscriber number to begin.
That's done.
Okay.
I got the subscribers.
I'm way past that.
I just need,
I'm so close to the hours.
Fire up your laptop farm,
Zite gang.
Yeah,

There's a ton of stuff on there.
Just make a playlist.
Play it through a few nights in a row.
Yeah,
listen to some comedy.
There's great.
I have a podcast where I interview everybody that's on the,
that's on the label.
That's up there.
Like, yeah.
What's been a fun interview?
I just had Heather Sean.
Do you guys know Heather Shaw?
She's amazing.
She just had Heather on.
Her album is currently in a pre-sale right now.
It comes on on October 30th.
And,
man, great fucking time. I've known Heather
for a decade plus at this point,
so it was just a good catch-out.
Yeah. Where down to Philly?
From a Fest in Gainesville.
We met, she's a Florida girl.
Okay.
So there's like a punk rock festival I do every year.
That's actually this weekend.
And I met Heather there like 12 years ago or something.
Oh, cool.
She's been homies forever.
So, yeah.
There are pockets of Florida that sound like you're in Delco.
Yeah.
Or like Jersey Transplants.
Yeah.
Very, very much.
Gainesville's got that energy for sure.
I bet we put good cop, rad cop is extremely funny.
It's a good duo out of the South that does like funny punk rock songs and stuff.
But out their album, like, yeah, a lot of great, a lot of great stuff on there.
So check us out, guys.
Burn this record on YouTube.
It would mean a lot.
I'm real so close and I really, my goal for the year is to get that shit done.
We need that monetization.
Yeah, that would mean a lot.
We can do it.
Come on.
Yeah.
Come on, Zike gang.
Come on Zike.
Is there a work immediate that you've been enjoying?
Yeah, I just read my friend Ryan Connor, very funny comic.
He has a book that just came out called Twelve Guys Walking to a Kitchen
because he is the second of 12 boys in his family.
What the fuck?
His parents, he has a biological brother.
His mom married, got remarried.
He has two older brothers from that marriage.
Then they adopted three refugee boys, two from Vietnam, one from China.
and then when all those kids were in their 20s,
their parents said,
we want to get a girl.
And then they went to an adoption fair
and they actually found four boys
that were looking for something.
So they adopted four more boys.
So he has 12, he has 11 brothers.
He's the 12th one.
And it's like this amazing book
just kind of about like the story of this
thing,
incredibly cool, diverse family
and like how they have like
come together over time
and what he's learned from all of them.
And it's just like a really nice little
comedy memoir
that like just feels good.
to read.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So big.
Need that.
Need that.
Yeah.
You know who else
like to hang out
with 12 guys?
My man,
Jay C.
Hey.
A man, J.C.
Yeah.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Jesus.
Three days, Jesus.
Where are you been?
Yeah.
Come out that cave.
Jesus.
Turn that water in a loin.
Gonna miss the kickoff.
Jesus.
Mary Magillan.
Get the water.
You got to turn me to the loin.
Yeah.
Mary Magillin.
Yeah.
So many areas.
Before I tell you where I'm at, if you're in L.A.
Tonight, Thursday, October 22nd at Video Tech, okay, in Highland Park, I'm actually going to be doing VHS court with Emily Heller, where you go up, we argue before the court, which, you know, one of them, you know, Zach Rusard is one of the hosts there, where we argue of, just before the audience, over two films, the winner, the film is.
plate. So if you want to see a fun thing,
yeah, I'll be doing some funny shit with
Emily Heller. Do you know your movie? Yes, court? No.
Oh, so you got to go up.
And do you get to get a little bit? No.
You get assigned. It's like
debate team shit. Yeah. Wow.
Yep. You just get it and you go,
defend it. Yeah. It better be about Delco.
Tell you that.
Tell you that.
Amazing. Where can people find you? Is there work?
I don't even know where I'm at anymore.
I think I'm in Delco. I think I'm in America.
I don't know where I'm at.
You can find me everywhere at Miles of Gray.
I'm talking about 90-day fiancé on 420-day fiancé with Sophia Alexandra.
Also continue to talk about soccer, the Premier League Champions League,
on A&Footie with Jabel Johnson and Chris Martin.
A work of media I like.
There's just, look, like I said, I got to play this.
This is instruction.
This was really instructive for me trying to nail my Delco accent.
This is from at Nicole Marie 0421.
It says, wow.
It is really a cold day to day.
And she's just giving an explainer.
Wow.
Wow.
It's a really, it's a fundamental phrase.
Is it wow?
It's a way into the accent.
Wow.
Wow.
We say wow.
But like when you think of it as wow.
Wow.
Wow.
Well, here, here we go.
South Philly words in how we pronounce them.
Wow.
It's exactly what you tricked.
Wow.
Look at the way you're moving.
Yeah.
Well, is she serious?
right now.
The house looks really nice.
Wow.
Wow.
I love it.
I love it.
There's a subtlety to it again.
My love of accents,
there's just something about it
that it just tickles my brain.
And my stolen Delco Valor continues.
We got to get through there.
I know.
We're going to have to do a show in Philly.
I know.
You're going to love it.
We should do a show like where task takes place.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah. Well, you've got to go down in South Philly every year.
The greased pole competition.
Have you seen this where, like, they put a provolone and a salami at the top of a pole.
They greased the whole thing up.
Who'd get up there?
Yeah.
Yeah, it's teams of people that train all year to get the salami.
Yeah.
Get me in there.
It's amazing.
Amazing.
Man, wow.
Wow.
You can find me on Twitter, Jack underscore Brian Blue Sky, Jack Obe, the number one.
Instagram, Jack underscore Brian.
Work of Media, I've been enjoying.
there's this basketball league
called the National Basketball Association.
They have some of the best basketball players
around.
Yeah.
And they've got this one guy
who's been playing there for 24 seasons in a row
named LeBron James.
And I've been a fan of him.
I've like since before it was cool.
You know?
When he was a child?
Yeah, yeah.
Since, yeah, literally, when he was eight.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
Interesting, Jack.
And he, this past season, started playing for the team that I follow in the National Basketball Association called the Philadelphia 76ers.
Sixers for short.
Anyways, they just had their season opener with LeBron James on their team and they won in New York against the national champions.
And this is probably as good as it's going to get because nobody's like hurt yet or anything.
You guys, keep riding this.
Keep writing this.
I think we're going to go 80 to and O.
Yep.
Oh, my gosh.
Based on this data set you got, look, at this rate, one for one, 100%
rate, we are going to win 82 games.
Perfect season.
I look forward to it.
Honestly, Philly deserves this.
I'm so excited.
I really, like, I'm so sorry for the cars that are going to be flipped.
Right.
I'm so sorry.
I was just going to say, like, whenever they win a title, they're so cool about it.
They're so normal and cool.
So, but yeah, Sixers haven't done anything.
a while in a while.
Well, that's so exciting.
Yeah, it's very exciting.
I almost might watch basketball.
I'm so excited for you.
It's great.
It's very exciting.
They also have Jaylen Brough.
Yeah.
And things are exciting.

stickhead, where we link off to the information that we talked about in today's episode.
We also like to link off to a song that we think you might enjoy.
Yeah.
Yeah, Mom.
Yeah.
Is there a song you think people might enjoy?
This is a cool one.
This is from the artist, Rachel Rose.
This is like one of those people, like a small, like independent artist that I just got served
on Instagram.
And I was like, oh, this is kind of high beat.
The track is called Open Season.
And the drums, the sort of instrumentation reminds me of Fiona Apple's Sleep to Dream.
So if, you know, that era of the, you know, title, that was the name of that album, right?
Yeah.
Fiona Apple era appeals to you.
You might like this track by Rachel Rose called Open Season.
I remember just being like a music nerd when I first saw the clip, I commented on.
I'm like, these drums are very sleep to dream.
She's like, that's exactly what I was going.
She said it.
She came back?
She's like, you noticed.
Thank you, you fucking dick.
And I was like, great.
Yeah, yeah.
So Open Season by Rachel Rose, check it out.
It's a good vibe track.
Rachel Rays.

This is a wholesale attack.
It is targeting black people in every federal agency.
It's raw.
White folks have never allowed that reckoning to last more than a decade.
