We're your hosts, Viosa and Mala. You might recognize us from our first show, Locatora Radio. Listen to Señora Sex Ed on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hello, the Internet, and welcome to this episode of Zeit at the Museum. or wherever you get your podcasts. at the museum. Good time. Miles, let's tell the people what is trending. You all right?
Starting point is 00:02:25 Yeah, I'm just standing, taking this episode on the rise, man. Just getting on my feet for this. All right. Real power move to shoot a zoom from low angle. We were already very sedentary people by recording. Our work is primarily done sitting down, adding to that working from home. And I'm like, but if I'm not like out on a run or something, I got to get this vertical time in i started running past couple days uh feel much much better yeah about myself all right so chernobyl is trending what's what's what's going on why why is that trending there's a fire in the exclusion zone and like it's causing like a huge spike in uh radioactivity like in the area it's just like dystopian everything is just like happening now so yeah
Starting point is 00:03:15 of course there's a just a as the headline says the radiation levels skyrocket as forest fires burn in exclusion zone uh so that's cool oh wow um yeah so does fire cause radiation i guess it does right i mean it certainly radiates heat i don't know but i'm not a scientist guys don't don't come at me come at miles who is a scientist uh yeah what i'm saying is don't worry nothing to see here chernobyl was a hoax. Right. It might, even if it doesn't specifically fire and of itself cause radiation, it might release radiation into the air if it's burning radiated stuff. Yeah, materials, right. Would be my guess. Well, look, luckily we're not engineers of any kind having anything to do with radioactivity.
Starting point is 00:04:06 We'll just keep it to lame jokes about 90s basketball. Yeah. How about Scotty Pippen, huh? That guy. Wow. Really play defense. Carnival is trending. Is a carnival in town?
Starting point is 00:04:23 What's going on? Hey, what happened here? Dude, their stock has been in the literal garbage can, like down 70% since January, I think. But the Saudi sovereign like wealth fund bought like a stake in carnival cruises, like a $43 million stake. So like their stock price went up.
Starting point is 00:04:44 I don't know what's going on i mean i don't know why i guess in the long term they're thinking we can get a weird asset of cruise ships for later when people think they want to get back on these like polluting death boats but i don't know they got a bit of a got a bit of a bone thrown to them i think this is just the first step of their uh story, and the next step will be changing the name from cruise ships to polluting death boats. I think that's going to be when they really turn it around. They're like, whoa, whoa, but at least we're called carnival polluting death boats.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Are all the cruise ships pretty fucked? Is that basically all the companies? I don't know a single company who... Dude, I got an email from a cruise line that was actually asking the recipients of this email to rank how likely they were to go on a cruise ship in the next year. I think they were just trying to do self-harm
Starting point is 00:05:43 by looking the answers straight. And I'd be like, yeah, no one wants to do self-harm by like looking the answers straight and i'd be like yeah no one wants to do this for a long time now right what if we gave you the boat when you went on the cruise would that change how you feel yeah can i dock it and make it affordable housing for people right that's another that's the thing that like it doesn't seem like you know there's all these people who are losing their job and then the federal government is not able to deal with like when the ppp website goes up like there just feels like if we could be a little bit more nimble about or yeah using cruise ships as housing or using all the empty hotels in las vegas as housing for let's see when you have all the owners of those
Starting point is 00:06:25 businesses as part of like the main donor class like they'll just like when the legislator would even suggest that to them like are you fucking kidding me no no don't do that yeah that's why we're that's why the president's been stalling on getting any of this equipment made because there's enough people in business to bitch about what the cost is to them that they'd rather be like well i can't afford it so let's pass that pain along to yeah yeah uh national beer day this is one that i've had on my calendar for a while hell yeah bro i don't know what else to say hell yeah dude just uh nbd man no big deal national beer day ice cold. Milwaukee's best. Milwaukee. Dude, one of the nicer beers out there.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Yeah. Are there any... No, I'm not going to ask that. That's going to make me sound too old. I was going to be like, is there any new beers in the past five years? I haven't drank in five years, man. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Yeah, what's new with these beers? What's that new beer they're drinking now. I guess it's the White Claw, right? Nah. It's like everything. It's just like comes in. There's fads and there's waves of shit. Comes in waves.
Starting point is 00:07:38 Yeah. Takeout Tuesday in honor of our favorite member of Migos. Takeout is is well, okay. Yeah. Offset, Quavo and take out, not take off,
Starting point is 00:07:53 but the hashtag trending, I think is obviously the restaurant industry is in dire straits with everyone sheltering in place. No one can go. I mean, the catering industry is completely vaporized um so you know like they're urging people if you have the means to be able to afford a meal out like you know consider going to a restaurant that you would be sad if they went
Starting point is 00:08:18 out of business after all of this because a lot of the forecasting from people in the restaurant industry is like is really really really grim so you know trying to encourage people to maybe make tuesday a day where you can go somewhere to patronize a local business or something like that um yeah so i think it's just you know it's everyone's trying to find a way to keep their local businesses going and i think that's one they're just trying to make get more momentum to help the restaurants yeah uh are you are you doing any of this you taking out uh yeah when i can i mean i have a lot of like i bought a lot of groceries so i've i kind of got through a lot of the stuff that was gonna any perishables that had a time window and then now like i'm more thinking i'm like looking around through like business in directories of like you know who like whose whose businesses i can patronize but yeah i did
Starting point is 00:09:10 that uh more a little bit more regularly now that i'm getting tired of cooking fucking nine times a day right um and then finally alec baldwin is trending because he and his wife are expecting their fifth child she is 36 i don't know how many children that'll make for alec baldwin but uh wait that's his child with this this just this woman just this wife yeah wow she's a yoga a 36 year old yoga instructor um so i think all these children came after the uh scandal where he yelled at his daughter on her answering machine like a fucking pig or whatever that weird abusive shit was i don't know if yeah yeah yeah i think that's what he called her yeah uh he called her a selfish little pig so uh cool that he made but maybe maybe that was a weak moment for alec you know
Starting point is 00:10:08 yeah what was the other thing didn't he like i don't know i feel like he's always in the news for something other than being good at acting right it's like oh he he flipped out on a flight attendant because he couldn't wear play words with friends or something i feel like was one of the last yeah i think that's right i think that's right it's always like but whatever i don't know man like do your trump imitation and then that'll that'll solve all those problems yeah the the best trump imitation like honestly i wonder that i think he's a good actor i loved him as Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock. I wonder if there is a member of that cast who would do a worse Trump imitation than him because it's not a good Trump imitation. No, I bet you Jack McBrayer can do a better one than Al Falk.
Starting point is 00:10:59 I'm not joking. I just feel like that guy takes the theater art seriously. If you gave him a couple weeks in the lab, Jack comes out with something good. Yeah, for sure. And honestly, Tracy Morgan's would be better because it would be worse, but because it's Tracy Morgan, it would be better. Yeah, absolutely. All right, guys.
Starting point is 00:11:19 That is going to do it for this fine Tuesday. We are going to be back tomorrow with a whole nother episode and we will talk to you then. Bye. Bye. Kay hasn't heard from her sister in seven years. I have a proposal for you. Come up here and document my project.
