Starting point is 00:02:25 Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite
Starting point is 00:02:25 Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite Zite, Zite, Zite, Zite, Zite, Zite, Zite yeah Kamala so I was I did not have a horse in this race I did not have a
Starting point is 00:02:48 care who he picked that said I do I don't know this doesn't fill me with dread the way that I was expecting the VP no it had to be it had to be a black woman right okay you did that great now
Starting point is 00:03:03 I would love to see i would love to see a pence versus kamala debate uh that'll be something but then those the presidential debates are gonna really be something like a lot couldn't go wrong there that's like the one there's some i feel like shit could go really bad you know if he does another one singing like put the record player on for baby so it hears voices in the house you're like yeah again it's like one of those things like i don't know how much shit moves anymore you know yeah it seems like i mean that's one thing that people are saying about like why his polling looks better than hillary clinton's is that there aren't very many undecided voters. Whereas heading into 2016, it was like a ton,
Starting point is 00:03:49 like an unprecedentedly high number of undecided voters. Yeah. That said, yeah. I mean, somebody went back and looked at his performance and debates and was pointing out the, like he never was good at getting names
Starting point is 00:04:06 or trains of thought correct. He was always kind of all over the place. That was fucking 12 years ago now. Like we're dealing with the whole new game now. Yeah, but like even
Starting point is 00:04:21 in 88, he wasn't good at it. And now even in 88 like he wasn't like good at it it's just like he and now even at 88 oh man um but i mean yeah we'll we'll see i mean people already know like just get to november get to november you know what the one funny thing is i would be curious to see if suddenly republicans are like kamala harris's record of prosecuting killer cops is abysmal and like i'm sorry wait now you go hold on what is this you're attacking from the left now i'm not sure what you know i think aside from just do the well i can only imagine how bullshit toxic white supremacy nonsense talking points and all kinds of weird hit pieces are going to come out but this is the thing
Starting point is 00:05:08 this is what happens now the VP has announced they've laid it down here come all the oppo all kinds of now the shit now we're in it now we're going to see the shit it is historic she's the first black woman nominated for vice president
Starting point is 00:05:24 by a major party absolutely and yeah so it's funny amidst all that i forgot that part the historic the historic nature of it because i do not mean to discount that by any stretch of the imagination that is very significant and i think it's it's wonderful then it's now just like sort of now getting caught up in the fucking like existential dread of what the race looks like i'm just like right it is interesting because she was the presumptive pick and there were allegedly people behind the scenes who couldn't forgive her uh that little girl was me moment attack on Biden who had like been with the Biden campaign. She's dunked on him.
Starting point is 00:06:06 And they were like that. She's too ambitious. Um, and like, she's going to, she's going to stab you in the back, Joe. Uh,
Starting point is 00:06:14 and you know that it's interesting because around the time that those rumors were swirling, that there was like a, uh, shadow campaign to get her replaced with a different VP candidate. He put his announcement on hold and now he's announcing that she is the candidate. So maybe some truth to all that shit. Some like Kevin Durant shit.
Starting point is 00:06:37 He's like, man, she fucked me up in that debate, man. Yeah, let's get her on the team. Exactly. I'm going to join up. That is true. Like that's an underrated thing in the NBA. You'll see teams acquire people who played well against them. Yeah, and they're like, no, no, we need that.
Starting point is 00:06:52 Yeah, exactly. Doc Rivers always used to do that. All right. Bindi Irwin, also trending. Yeah, Bindi. Came in second as Biden's pick for VP nominee and yeah you know she still has a promising
Starting point is 00:07:10 future ahead of her Steve Irwin's daughter everyone knows this and she's famous I guess I did not know that she was that famous but she's pregnant preggers my eggers.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Thank goodness. Five months. They did the nice announcement photo where they're wearing their khaki outback. I don't know what that shirt's called, but that khaki shit. And then they're holding a mini one being like, oh, baby. Right, right. That's adorable. We stan Bindi Irwin, I guess. Right? baby right right so that's adorable we stand bindi or when i guess right yeah i gen yeah
Starting point is 00:07:48 because you know bindi she's just like one of the like when her dad passed away like both of his kids yeah i was like damn what about the kids and then it was nice to see like the mom and like the kids still having like the same energy for it so you know do, like, nature videos like her dad did? Like, does she do her own? Yeah, she's still fucking with the, you know, the conservation shit on TV. But look, I have not seen, like, any, I don't, I'm not, look, I'll be full disclosure, I've not been following her career that much since the untimely passing of her father.
Starting point is 00:08:18 So that's on me. I'm the bad uncle. You know, I should have called you, should have made sure. I know I call when I need money and stuff, but glad to see y'all are doing okay. But is also like one of those things where people it goes viral because people are like do you believe it she's that old now that she's pregnant like yeah look at look at how old Haley is or what is that Eminem's oh Eminem's they're like what no way I thought that was the baby he was kidnapping to torment his ex-wife. Did you see the baby from the cover of Nevermind album is on AARP now?
Starting point is 00:08:52 Oh my God. Did you know that the Gerber baby was actually Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman? Nickelback trending. Hell yeah. Why, Miles, why? Come on, baby. The boys are back in town. Yeah, look at this photograph.
Starting point is 00:09:13 We got a new album coming out fast. Is that true? New album? They got some shit coming out, I guess. As a Nickelback fan, do they still put out heat? I'm going to be really honest with you. I can't call myself a fan because I only like their first two albums. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:34 The good ones. The really heavy hitting albums. Most artists are like that. They have a couple of good albums. Well, actually, no. I'm thinking it's because I think Silver think silver side yeah there's second and third silver side up in the long road and all the right reasons after that couldn't tell you anything about it that's what i'm telling you about them jimmy ivy when he was talking to kendrick lamar about his about damn he
Starting point is 00:09:59 was like this is the album that like separates the from the boys. The third album is like, okay, you have a career. And all the right reasons? I mean, come on, baby. That had Photograph, Saving Me, Far Away. If everyone cared and nobody lied. If everyone loved. I mean, that shit. Out there, Rockstar.
Starting point is 00:10:24 I mean, come on, baby baby uh oh i do remember rock star then that other one that's talking about the song about the dude who uh uh murdered dimebag daryl you know what i mean oh really yeah wow it's a heavy ass track it's like it's about the dude how he like carved his name on a it's's just, it's like, cause he's really pissed off about his dime bag passing. Cause I was, they were friends. So he wrote this song, like talking about the dude who took his life. Did the dude who took his life was like a fan? Was it like a Stan situation?
Starting point is 00:10:57 I don't know. You know, that's where, when it gets that, when they're dealing with like real life murder and shit, I don't need to like fully get too immersed. You know, let's still nickel back, you nickel back Alberta, Canada's greatest contribution to music. Blockbuster is trending. Speaking of Canada? Is that? No, no.
Starting point is 00:11:13 That's Oregon. Up near there. Up there. At General, where I was born. Yeah. Up there. Reborn in Bend? No, Eugene, right?
Starting point is 00:11:22 Eugene. Yeah, yeah. Very different. Very different. Same state. Yeah. Yeah, very different. Same state, yeah. But they're having a promotion at the last Blockbuster in the United States. Kind of amazing.
Starting point is 00:11:33 There is a Blockbuster still around in Bend, Oregon, and they're having a sleepover there. It's based through Airbnb. It's you and up to four guests can spend the night inside of this last blockbuster. And you get the whole place for yourself for four bucks. Wait, really? Yeah, that's like the nightly rate. It's just like, you know, I just setting it up. It's like there's like a real bed and like like a fancy stage.
Starting point is 00:11:59 There's more for like the thrill of being like, you know what? Let's do it for the gag. Let's just go set up in the blockbuster and have a sleepover hmm that would be dope though to just like blow it out with a bunch of blunt smoke and they're like you ruined the blockbuster we're gonna have to take your deposit and i'm like yeah well my 50 cent deposit go ahead right you think it wasn't gonna come this blockbuster and chief a bunch of backwoods in here like it was the end of the world come on i wonder what movies are the new like titanic where there's just a whole wall that is just nothing but copies of that movie like avengers yeah probably like the
Starting point is 00:12:33 avengers right like end game is still taking up a whole wall even though it's like dude everybody's seen that movie like you don't need to be i would like if it was still like titanic i know that's what i was thinking and the games it's like they only have Super Nintendo, but they never have Street Fighter 2 available for rent? What the fuck? To the dead? But yeah, I would be interested in checking out that blockbuster. I think it's actually only open to like the residents of Deschutes County.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, yeah, because you have tochutes County. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Because you have to be a member. Oh, well, I don't know. I thought you were going to say it's only open to museum guests. No, no, no. Like they want to keep it so it's like a local thing.
Starting point is 00:13:16 Like they don't want people converging on this blockbuster to like stay the night. It's like if you're not like verifiably from the countyably from the county, you cannot make this reservation. Has anyone ever tried to do that? Just create a town that is a museum to the 90s, to the pre-digital age, where it's got CD stores and a blockbuster?
Starting point is 00:13:40 Parts of Burbank look like that for the longest time in North Hollywood. I don't know that would be that's like something I think we would do if we had like Jeff Bezos money like we'd give most of it away and then like that's weird the one thing they spent a lot of money on was to like wrap themselves
Starting point is 00:13:56 in this like retro cocoon of like stability 90s imagery you use whatever technology that the government uses to yeah but you use whatever uh technology that the uh was available government uses to yeah but you use the technology the government uses that protests to like kill all the phone signals so nobody can use a mobile phone oh like stingers and like yeah cell disruptors yeah yeah sure um all right we're gonna do like what is this like yeah it's a co-production with the department of homeland
Starting point is 00:14:21 security it's actually a fema camp to keep you fucking locked in. And then another thing that's trending on Google is neck gaiter. The neck gaiters are apparently not that useful. I have been guilty of wearing them because they're just easier, more breathable. Apparently too breathable. Right. Wasn't the headline like, that shit, worse than a mask.
Starting point is 00:14:48 It's like, what? Worse than no mask. Worse than no mask. I'm assuming because you feel confident and you're just still spraying your spit everywhere. But maybe it's also, I don't know, maybe there's some way
Starting point is 00:15:04 that it's actually worse. I don't know. Yeah. What are you going to do? I mean, please just wear a mask and like, or don't ask out. Not necessarily.
Starting point is 00:15:13 Also, man, do you start, have you seen people? I don't check my social media that often, but when sometimes I'll, you know, I'll be taking the shit on the toilet and I go on the stories,
Starting point is 00:15:22 you know, just pass the time. Nice. You know? Yeah. Thank you so much. Cause you know, you know, just pass the time. Nice. You know? Yeah. Thank you so much. Cause you know, Quibi's Quibi's has been too disappointing.
Starting point is 00:15:28 Um, but going through there and like, you see people and like, you start majorly losing respect for them. Like how they're not like, they're just going out here being so reckless. Like, Oh,
Starting point is 00:15:38 I have, Oh shit. You are like, you are like doing, you are at a, like making out party somehow. It said, there's a sign that says make out party and there's 300 people there and you're taking like and you're actually like
Starting point is 00:15:50 posing like ain't shit going on i'm like what i have to put you down now yeah this has been a uh coming out party for a lot of people who i didn't realize were republicans uh in my life like young people too uh and yeah there's also just that like i also kind of get when i see like gen z kids is going out there and partying because yeah i get that i'm like look bro i see it bro i didn't think i had anything to live for too in 2008 2007 so even if there was a pandemic i'm getting i'm getting it in but like there's like a part of me that sort of like nihilism i understand but then again it's just like so disheartening because like that's born out of the fact that there's like limited opportunity and it all feeds into itself because this is the end of the american era it's uh when you have kids it's interesting because you
Starting point is 00:16:39 like meet people in one context and then you see them on social media and it's like whoa oh i'm sure because parents are like doing like the whole parent thing too we're like yeah i'm a parent like i'm cool yeah like they do whatever they want and then you're like now the 14 words and you're like oh my god exactly i'm glad i do not live on the west side anymore i'll just say that west side is the most reckless part again is that whole idea man wealth equals health yeah that's how these people are operating out here well i'm wealthy and if they're wealthy too they're probably not poor and sickly this is really disturbing and that's why every person i talk to has like a partner or relatives in another country and they're like you know i looked into it
Starting point is 00:17:20 i looked into it don't know yet part of me feels like i gotta stay here and make this place right though i don't feel like giving it up on it quite yet. And I'm like, damn, that's a patriot right there. Right, right. All right, guys. That's going to do it for today. We'll be back tomorrow with a whole ass episode of the show. Until then, be kind to yourselves.
Starting point is 00:17:37 Be kind to each other. Wash your hands. Wear a mask. Not a neck gaiter. Stay inside. Don't do nothing about white supremacy. We'll be back tomorrow and we will talk to y'all then. Bye.
