Starting point is 00:00:51 I hope you are. We're headed into the 250th anniversary of our great country. This audience is incredible. It is so nice to be back with you here at the 10 o'clock Eastern Time. time, time slot, at least for today with you. For those of you who join me each morning on my program at 8 a.m. Eastern, thank you. I'm on rumble.com slash vinch each morning. And we love doing the show there.
Starting point is 00:01:12 It's been such an epic success. Thank you for making it that way. And I promise you we've got a great episode ahead. I need to talk to you about an issue that is near and dear to my heart. And I am certain is near and dear to yours. Election Integrity, the Save America Act. Yes, we'll gavel in today as we talk about that. Super important for us to get this conversation.
Starting point is 00:01:31 underway today and a lot to discuss on that front. Also, we are kind of keeping a side eye on whether or not we get breaking news out of the United States Supreme Court today. We might, we may or may not, on the issue of birthright citizenship. What a big case. We've gotten a lot of good decisions from the Supreme Court in the last week, but I'm on guard here, as I'm sure you are too, that maybe they were just fattening us up before the slaughter. I hope not. I hope we get another big victory here. It should be 9-0. There's no way that Chinese nationals should be able to pour into our country, pop out a baby, have an American citizen, and then we're screwed over? What kind of system is that? That's insanity. So hopefully the court is on the side of decency
Starting point is 00:02:15 in the United States Constitution and the American people. We'll see if that decision even comes out today, but keeping an eye on that as well. So in other words, we've got a lot to get to on this Mighty Dan Bonino show. Also, of course, Dan, in case you're wondering, maybe you just arrived. Dan's on vacation this week, a well-earned break. You'll hear from Sean Ferris on Wednesday. Isn't that right, Justin? We have Sean Ferris on Wednesday on the program. Correct. Yes, that's correct, he says. So you'll be able to hear from the great Sean Ferris on Wednesday as well. So we've got content for you. Don't you worry. And as always, please subscribe to my program. I'll keep delivering for you all week long
Starting point is 00:02:50 this week. Before we get into the content of the show today, I do want to thank American Financing for supporting it. And today's uncertain economy, American financing really is helping families find a way out of the high interest trap. We're heading into summer, of course, man, it's here. But that economic cloud, not clearing for a lot of middle class families, between persistent inflation, thanks Joe Biden, and the cost of daily life, you're likely feeling the pressure. You've worked hard for your home and probably have more equity than you realize. Yet the summer surge is forcing many to rely on credit cards. It's an exhausting cycle.
Starting point is 00:03:23 but American financing understands that 2026 requires a real strategy. This is why they have salary-based mortgage consultants. You see, with mortgage rates in the five, their customers are saving an average of $800 a month by wiping out high-interest debt. That's money that stays in your pocket to fight back against rising costs. No upfront fees, no pressure. And if you start today, you could delay two mortgage payments.
Starting point is 00:03:47 Call American financing today 888-994-7660. 888994-7660 or visit Americanfinancing.net slash Bongino. Shall we? Let's dive them. Let's dive right into this. The Save America Act, and as I do it, you should know that one of our favorites, a favorite here for Dan Bonino's audience and a favorite for my audience, producer Jim Verdi with our radio show. Producer Jim keeps the meeting minutes every time we have this meeting on the Save America Act. We have to gather together again to do that today. And here's why. John Thune is a problem. John Thune, the Senate Majority Leader, is a big problem. In fact, he is one of the primary reasons you and I don't get to have
Starting point is 00:04:43 nice things. And in this case, nice things is election integrity, is the Save America Act. Now, for those who haven't followed the details closely, a tight summary of the Save America Act, you need to prove you're an American citizen when you register to vote. Simple. You need to show an ID when you do cast a ballot. Simple. Non-citizens should be purged from the voting rolls. Very simple.
Starting point is 00:05:06 And we should have fewer mail-in ballots because those are the primary vectors for fraud. And the president has added other things like no men and women's sports. In other words, it's an anti-cheating bill. No cheating in elections. No cheating in women's sports. No cheating. pretty simple and yet it's very hard to get it passed why well democrats refused to do it and too many of these rhino republicans refused to do it too john cornan stands in the way he pretends he doesn't
Starting point is 00:05:35 but he does which is why texas voters just fired him bill cassidy stands in the way he pretends he doesn't but he does which is why louisiana voters just fired him thomboleena thom tillis of north carolina stands in the way he pretends he doesn't but he knew he knew that he knew two North Carolina voters were about to fire him. So he announced his retirement. A lot of these guys are standing in the way. But nobody deserves more focus and pressure than the leadership of the Republicans. And that would be John Thune and John Barrasso, the two Johns.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Thune, the majority leader, keeps acting like he's just a weatherman or some sort of play-by-play commentator. Oh, shucks, we just don't have the votes. Have you tried for them? Have you put in any effort to get them? Have you twisted any arms? Have you threatened committee assignments? Have you threatened to shut down any of the fundraising dollars from going any of these senators as they run for re-election? Have you threatened to take away their vacation time? Oh wait, you're on vacation right now. The answer to those questions is no. John Thune has not exerted any of the leverage necessary to actually get this thing passed. It can get passed. He just refuses to do the work. He refuses. And in fact, the president has been, I would say, two kind of the guy. He keeps treating him very nicely, but at some point, that niceness will go away. And President Trump's going to get very tough with John Soon. John Thun's not going to like that. So why not get ahead of it, John, and pass the Save America Act, twist the arms and get it done.
Starting point is 00:07:07 John Barrasso is the majority whip. That's his job. His job is to whip the votes. There's no evidence he's doing that. So yeah, we've got problems. And many of you have been calling these senators who have been calling John Thune, have been emailing, him have been telling your own state senators, you want this done. Please keep that pressure on. It has to continue. It has to. But let me start with the president of the United States today. It's usually a good way to frame a conversation. Here's the president talking about the fact that he has to fight both Democrats and Republicans. And in this case, he calls out Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, who's another one who's a big headache in this whole process. Cut five, watch this.
Starting point is 00:07:46 And now we have to pass the Save America Act to protect our sacred America. American elections have to pass. Hard to believe, right? Hard to believe. That we even have to fight for this. We have to fight for everything. Nothing comes easy. Nothing. All voters must show photo ID. Not so bad, right?
Starting point is 00:08:13 All voters must provide proof of citizenship. Is that so hard? And when you're fighting the Democrats, and a few Republicans who are doing a tremendous to service to this country. We have a few Republicans that are fighting it. Lisa Mikowski of Alaska, you should call her and tell her to get on the ball. She'll never win another election, I can tell you. She has got to get, she's got to vote. It's called the Save America Act. It's voter ID, ideally photo ID, right? So you can look and you can say, oh, that person's okay. Or for lots of reasons,
Starting point is 00:08:54 that person is not the same person. We want proof of citizenship. Yeah. We want the Save America Act, the president says. We need election integrity. He called that Lisa Murkowski in particular, but he could have called that any of these other guys. Thune, Barrasso, Cornyn, Tillis, Cassidy. There's unfortunately a long list of people who pretend like they support election integrity, but when push comes to shove, they prefer vacation. Well, I want your ass back in Washington. immediately. And I want election integrity immediately. And I'm not alone. I'm not alone. John Cornyn is whining about this, by the way. He's whining and he's calling us keyboard warriors and grifters, keyboard warriors and grifters saying that we are ignorant of the Senate rules.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Meanwhile, I would say that the American people in many cases have a better grasp on what the rules of the Senate are than many Republican senators, actually. But here's what John Cornyn said. I marvel at the keyboard warrior geniuses and grifters who are ignorant of Senate rules and precedents who have miraculously become experts in its arcane rules. Promising the moon and the stars and yet destening Republicans for failure is a very effective way to demoralize our base and elect more Democrats in the midterms. No doubt John Cornyn is including President Trump among the keyboard warrior geniuses and grifters because President Trump is very loudly pushing for the Save America Act. saying nothing else should pass until that does. Here's John Cornyn attacking him and the people who support him and the people who want election integrity.
Starting point is 00:10:32 With friends like these, John Cornyn, he says this is an effective way to demoralize our base and elect more Democrats. Do you know what's a very effective way to demoralize our base and elect more Democrats? Not passing the Safe America Act. Yeah, that's a great way to demoralize your base. We send you to Washington to do something. You fail to do it. That'll demoralize the base.
Starting point is 00:10:54 And then when Democrats can get elected on fraud, that's how you get Democrats more elected. John Cornyn has it exactly backwards, which is why he was just fired by the voters in Texas. He can't leave soon enough. But for now, we have to deal with him. And so long as we have to deal with him and so long as he holds that office, the pressure should continue on him, despite the fact that he's whining at you for being a keyboard warrior because he doesn't like all the email that's coming into his office. Well, continue to fight the war on your keyboards. Keep sending him these messages. something has to break free here. John Thune, for his part, is treating the grassroots like crap. Scott Pressler has been absolutely heroic on a number of fronts. He's been working very hard to get people registered to vote, to turn out Republicans in elections, to help win elections.
Starting point is 00:11:45 When it comes to just the elbow grease of getting things done, you've had Scott Pressler in a very public way doing that pretty aggressively. And more Americans should take Scott's demeanor. They should be like Scott and fight very hard to stop the left. That's what Scott's been doing. Scott just showed up this past week in South Dakota. He wanted to go to the Republican Party's conference there in the state to meet with John Thune, if he could, to encourage him to get the Save America Act passed. Now, Scott is not a threat to anybody.
Starting point is 00:12:16 I can't imagine Scott posing some sort of physical threat to John Thune. yet he was treated like he was a terrorist or something when he arrived. I want you to see how the South Dakota Republican Party treated Scott Pressler when he tried to attend this event where John Thun was. Cut six, take a look at this. Hey guys, this is Scott Pressler. I'm here at the South Dakota State Convention. I have a ticket.
Starting point is 00:12:44 And they are saying that I can't come in. So we're going to find out very shortly why I am not. being allowed as one of the biggest supporters of President Donald J. Trump. I'm big on Facebook too. And I'm the asshole saying you can't come in because guess what? You're posting this little piss and moan session on Facebook. So you just get the hell out of here. Thank you. You see you see how the grassroots are welcomed in Senate Majority Leader Thune's territory? Interesting, my friends.
Starting point is 00:13:22 I don't think this is a good reflection of the South Dakota GOP. But I thank him for his honesty, though. What's your, what's your, Matthew Bruner, Sergeant at Arms? That was, yeah, Matthew Bruner, Sergeant and Arms, the tool in the cowboy hat, who said that Scott Pressler is not welcome inside the event and treated him like crap. You don't have to treat him like crap.
Starting point is 00:13:46 What are you treating him like crap for? Scott Pressler's been been rowing one of those oars like crazy on behalf of advancing the president's agenda and the well-being of this country. And you're going to treat them like garbage? Bad idea, dude. Very bad idea. Now, why was he treated like garbage? Who blocked him from coming in? Well, turns out the answer to that question is John Thune himself, or at least John Thune's staff.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Because the chairman of the South Dakota Republican Party is a guy called Jim. Eschenbaum. And he was caught on camera explaining that John Thune barred Scott Pressler from going into the event. Watch this. Did John Thune specifically ask that Scott Pressler not attend this event? Yes. Okay. Is John Thune a member of the convention committee? No. So how does he have the authority to remove people from events? He has a, he has a. Please let Scott Bristler in. He has a lot of security in there. Is Mr. Pressler considered a security threat? Not to me.
Starting point is 00:14:55 But I'm not going to go in there and argue with the Secret Service. Well, first of all, the Secret Service doesn't protect John Thune. That would be Capitol Police. That's incorrect. But also, he made it really clear that it was Thune or Thune staff who made a request to keep Scott Pressler out of that room. And they did it as a courtesy to him. Now, it's not surprising that Thune would wield influence in the South Dakota Republican Party.
Starting point is 00:15:22 He's the majority leader in the Senate, after all. That's a big feather in the cap for the Republican Party in the state. And if Soon sends a request like that, it looks like they're going to rush to do it. But Thun owns this. The head of the South Dakota Republican Party said that. It wasn't like some weird game of telephone where some low-ranking member said it. It was the head of the party in the state. They said, yeah, it was at Thune's request for keeping Scott Pressler out.
Starting point is 00:15:45 And if you need further evidence to the fact that Scott Pressler was kept that on that basis, look no further than the fact that they had a photo of Pressler on a table there so they can stop him. Cut eight. Look at this video. Watch this. So this is James Biolato with Dead On, where it looks like there's a memorandum with Scott Pressler's picture on the first table to identify him at the door to prevent him from entering. This is the doors at the Rushmore Hall. So they had a picture of the guy. They planned ahead of time to block him. Now, Pressler was going there on behalf of the rest of us. They may as well have blocked President Trump from going into that meeting.
Starting point is 00:16:30 They may as well have blocked each and every one of you and me from going into that meeting. Scott Pressler was going as our emissary just to raise a polite but insistent point, pass the Save America Act. That's it. Is that so complicated? Are you that scared of that kind of pressure? Well, in that case, you shouldn't be a United States senator. You can't handle Scott Pressler?
Starting point is 00:16:53 It's time for you to leave. You definitely shouldn't be the leader of the Republicans in the Senate. It's just pathetic, actually. And rather than have a real conversation with him, he treats everybody like crap. So, step one this week is get in touch with Scott Presler and try and make this right. And step two, and most importantly,
Starting point is 00:17:13 even more important than step one in that sequence, is past the Save America Act. Get it done. Now, this has been a source of immense, embarrassment, as it should be, the South Dakota Republican Party. The chairman of the party, who you just heard a moment ago, Jim Eschenbaum, say that it was John Thune, who demanded Scott Pressler not gain access, has since apologized, and he did this, let's see. This would have been into the wee hours of the morning right after it went down. Here's what he said on X.
Starting point is 00:17:45 He said, Scott, I want to personally apologize for how things were handled tonight at the South Dakota Republican Convention. I haven't watched the video yet, that Matt Bruner, that was the guy in the cowboy hat, has been relieved of his duties as one of our sergeant-arms by the lead sergeant-at-arms. I also apologize for denying you entry. You were exactly right when you said it wasn't Senator Soon's staff that was running the event, and I failed you in that decision. And I'm sorry, and I own it completely. As I stated, I appreciate and respect all that you have done for President Trump and the Republican Party. I truly wish this hadn't gotten so out of hand before someone let me know. We will talk more about this tomorrow when I have time to. So the South Dakota Republican Party,
Starting point is 00:18:28 or at least part of it, thinks, you know, this was a mistake. But they still have not fully come to grips with the fact that John Foon is a problem. In fact, for a moment on Friday, there was an effort by the South Dakota Republican Party to issue a formal censure of their own senator, John Thun, a formal condemnation by the state party. That's a big deal. The South Dakota Republican Party to censure John Thune? I'll tell you how that went in just a moment as we continue here on the great Dan Bongino show. I'm Vince Colonnais filling in today for Dan. Always appreciate the chance to talk to you. You find people. We've got a lot to talk about. We've got to talk about this Save America. act. I feel great about this. I love being back with you.
Starting point is 00:22:43 What a nice year we had together when Dan was doing his thing at the FBI. It was such a joy to get to know all of you. And I feel very good to be back with you here at this time right now as Dan's on his well-deserved vacation. It's great to see. And you look as good as ever. Holy cow. You look phenomenal. Okay, let me get back to what's going on here with John Thune. So John Thune's kind of in a world of hurt here. Kind of in a world of hurt. Now he's got the South Dakota Republican Party in chaos because these idiots decided to try and block Scott Pressler at his behest.
Starting point is 00:23:17 So it came to Friday, and they were contemplating a censure. We're going to censure John Thune because he's failing to get the Save America Act passed. The thing finally goes up to a vote, and it looks at. like a pretty sparsely attended event when the vote took place. And when they cast the vote, well, they rejected the censure, at least for now. Listen to this. By voice vote, cut nine, the South Dakota Republican Party considering and rejecting the censure of John Foon. Title of Resolution again adoption of the resolution of being Senator John McHen. All those in favor will say aye. Now I will say, and I listen to that audio a couple times, he's probably right that the
Starting point is 00:24:08 the nose had it, that the volume was slightly louder on the voice vote. Voice votes are very interesting. But that is not a good thing when nearly half the room is saying that the sitting Republican senator, the majority leader, the guy who represents the state, needs to be censured. That's a pretty big deal. It wouldn't normally be like that. And yet it is. Why?
Starting point is 00:24:31 Because we want the Save America Act. That's why. So keep up the pressure. For those of you of South Dakota, God bless you. keep up the pressure on John Thune. We could really use your help. We could really use it. Now, John Cornyn is, as I mentioned, whining about all of this. Remember, he called you a keyboard warrior. He said, it's not even possible. It can't happen. Now, he's wrong about that. He's lying about that. There's a Senate expert by the name of Clint Brown responded to Cornyn's claims about
Starting point is 00:25:01 this subject. And he said, sir, I've got some expertise in Senate rules and preceded him. In fact, at one time, you were one of a dozen senators who paid me for my expertise. The talking filibuster will work. Senators who refuse to do this to pass the Save America Act are the ones demoralizing their own base. It's exactly right. Senator Mike Lee has walked us through this a bunch of times, but here's how it works fundamentally. You just need to get the debate started. nominally right now we've got 50 Republicans 50 Republicans here who are saying that this thing
Starting point is 00:25:42 should pass or at least they've said it they've suggested they would pass it okay let's prove it let's get it done and yet it ain't passed yet we'll get the debate started there's a lot of debate about ending debate we need 60 votes 10 to do this here okay let's start it we've got some Right, so give me a second here. Give me a second here. Everyone's telling me we have news. What's the news that I'm looking for here, Justin? Supreme Court ruling.
Starting point is 00:26:10 Supreme Court rules five to four that federal law does not prevent Mississippi from counting mail-in ballots that are postmarked by Election Day, but received up to five days after, with Chief Justice John Roberts joining an opinion written by Justice Amy Coney-Barritt. Federal law. Okay, we're processing this together, ladies and gentlemen, but at its core, what this means is that states can continue to accept ballots after election day. This makes no sense whatsoever. None. None. In every other important thing in like, can you get your birthday card five days after your birthday? Is that how it works? If somebody sends you a birthday card, let's do this, let's just thought experiment. Someone sends you a birthday card and they fail to send it on time. and it arrives five days after your birthday. And you get it, you're like, well, it's kind of belated.
Starting point is 00:27:07 Thanks. I mean, I'm glad you thought of me, but you couldn't send it in order to make it to my house on time? And that's just a birthday card. How about a vote? Isn't election day supposed to be election day? You can't get a ballot in by election day. We're giving people months to send in their ballots. Get it in on time.
Starting point is 00:27:28 What a pile of garbage. In states like California, you know what they do with their? mail-in ballot situation? We just saw it play out with Steve Helton and all these guys. Spencer Pratt. They had a situation where you could set, even if the ballot didn't have a postmark, you could handwrite a postmark date on it in order to satisfy the requirement. Handwrite it. Doesn't that seem like it's ripe for fraud? Yes is the answer. The more ambiguity and the more nonsense you allow, the more nonsense you're going to get in elections. This is precisely. why we need the Save America Act. This decision that they just dropped, again, again, only
Starting point is 00:28:08 reading the headline here. I'll believe me, I'm going to dive into this in detail on the big national radio show today after I get a chance to read the opinion. But a decision like this is ratification for why we are pushing so hard for the Save America Act. One of the things it would do is it would limit the use of mail-in ballots. Jimmy Carter as a part of the Carter Baker Commission in the early 2000s, a bipartisan commission studying elections. said that mail-in ballots are the primary source for fraud in elections. We need to limit the use of mail-in ballots, Sid Carter. Democrats won't say that anymore.
Starting point is 00:28:42 They were concerned about a time ago, a while ago, but now they're perfectly content with fraud being the state of play because that's how they get power, okay? So the Supremes drop a big decision that seems like a big steaming pile of crap. And did I read that right? It was John Roberts and Amy Coney-Barratt joined the Libs on the court? not a shock but definitely appalling and what does this say here this is fox's summary the supreme court rejects a republican-led challenge to counting some mail-in ballots that arrive after
Starting point is 00:29:14 election day it's a five-four decision the court ruled the states can continue counting ballots received after election day if state law allows it and the ballots meet requirements including being postmarked on time justice amy coney barrett wrote the majority opinion she was joined by chief justice john roberts and of course the liberal justices Justice Samuel Alito dissenting, calling the ruling inconsistent with federal election law, and two centuries of a historical practice. All right, I'll me give you a sheet sheet on how to read a Supreme Court decision without knowing much more about it. So even before you dive into the details, if you see that Justice Clarence Thomas and Justice Alito
Starting point is 00:29:51 are on the same exact page, go with them. Okay? That's the tip today. That's the tip of the day, as I fill in for Dan Bongio. You ready? go with Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito. If those justices are on one side of this, that's the side you want to be on. In the rare occasion that they have different opinions that they're split against each other,
Starting point is 00:30:12 then read both of them and figure out who you prefer. But I tend to be a Justice Thomas guy. But whatever. The point is, if Thomas and Alito are against it, then I'm against it. And they're on the right side of the Constitution and American history. Without even reading the opinion yet, I know that. I know that. You can say that with confidence.
Starting point is 00:30:30 It's amazing. It's amazing. All right. So we'll keep our eyes on the Supreme Court. Again, we await the birthright citizenship decision. That may be a case we get today. And again, this is, we're kind of in a weird situation because I'm doing the live show with you right now. Those of you watching, rumble.com slash Bongino, so we're processing live news. But of course, we're also making this into a tremendous podcast for consumption later on, which, of course, if you're listening, thank you. Thank you. God bless you for it. Appreciate you doing that. All right, more in a moment as we get into a little bit more, is you guys, you guys cool with more Save America Act conversation? I feel like this is a very important conversation. And I know Dan is very concerned about this as well. So I figured, you know what? We should service this issue because it matters a great deal. And so if you'd like, we'll stick on it. Let me know if you want that as we continue.
Starting point is 00:31:21 But first, I want to thank another tremendous sponsor of the program. Our final sponsor of the day is all family pharmacy. It's a pharmacy that's doing something. most companies just don't have the guts to do. And you probably already know that it's all family pharmacy because I just told you that. And also, we love them. They cut out the middlemen completely. No insurance company telling you what you're allowed to have.

You just need a way to get it without the runaround. And they've got 400 medications, antibiotics, allergy meds, Ivorymectum, hydroxychloroquine, even the stuff like NAD plus, peptides, methylene blue, if you're into the biohacking, everything's handled online.
Starting point is 00:32:20 No insurance, no waiting rooms, just you, taking control of your own healthcare. So go to all-familyfarmacy.com slash bungee. Benjino 10. Use the code Bongino 10 and save 10% today. Prescription required. Always consult a medical professional before taking any medication. This is not medical advice. Thank you to all family pharmacy for supporting this program, this mighty program with this great audience. Thank you very much. Okay. So where are we? You guys, first of all, I'm trying to follow Dan's role and don't get dead. Thank you, Rebecca. You're right about that. I'm going to keep trying that.
Starting point is 00:32:56 Save America Act is a must. Yes. Okay. So people want to save America Act? Yeah, I do too. I really do. All right. So let me give you some more then. You ready for Thombolina? Thombolina sucks. Isn't he the worst? Here he is from North Carolina. He's saying that North Carolina voters are pressuring to him too much. Now pay attention. If you're in North Carolina right now, this is for you. This is your senator saying you are annoying him too much because you want to save America Act. Cut 10. Watch this. I am concerned that we're going to continue to cast doubt on elections in November and erode what has been a 250-year tradition of a peaceful transition of power. You know, I have people telling me I need to implement the SAVE Act immediately in North Carolina in a state that has voter ID. It was passed when I was speaker. We've enhanced it even since then. And the president's won three times.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Why do I, over the next four months, have to try to pursue the impossible task of implementing a bill that simply can't be implemented in that time frame? Why are we doing more things to undermine our confidence in elections rather than getting the strong message out that will win for Republicans this year? Talk about the emergence and the rise of the Democrat Socialists of America, accept that the voting laws are going to be fundamentally what they are today. Win by them. went by the good results that Republicans have produced and stop undermining the confidence in the elections. This is a bedrock of our 250-year history of success as the democracy that changed the world. Let's not mess with that between now and November. You're a psycho. You are a complete psycho.
Starting point is 00:34:40 You sound like Chuck Schumer. Why are you undermining confidence in elections? That's what you are doing, Tham. And this whole straw man, like, oh, we aren't going to be able to pass it in time for the midterms. Let's assume that that's the case because the Senate is too lazy and won't get off its rumps to actually do the job. Let's just assume that it takes beyond the midterms to get this thing passed. Okay. Do I want that outcome?
Starting point is 00:35:06 No. Do I want the Save America Act? Yes. And so if you start this clock, if you actually take the Senate floor, if you face a ridiculous Senate filibuster that drags all the way through the midterms, if we get to save America Act at the end of it, even if it's after the midterms, that's a better outcome than not getting to Save America Act at all. So stop wielding the midterms as some sort of ridiculous red herring to prevent you from doing your job. We wouldn't have to have this conversation if you had actually done your job months ago, a year ago. And yet they still haven't done it. And we've had to
Starting point is 00:35:39 try to drag them kicking and screaming into doing their jobs at all. The truth is they're not doing it because they're lazy. That's the biggest truth in this at all. They're just lazy. He doesn't want to do his job. He likes being on vacation right now. He likes that they have very few weeks left this year, doing any business for the American people whatsoever. He likes it like that. The last thing he wants is for you to be focused on what he should be doing. What do they make with $200,000 a year, whatever ridiculous amount of money it is, to do nothing, to be on vacation the whole time, to spend all their time fundraising? How about doing the work that we sent you to Washington to do? Like past the Safe America Act.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Then he attacks you. He's whining that you're pressuring him. You're undermining confidence in elections. That's you, you jerk. Bill Cassidy, bitter Bill from Louisiana, is also whining about this. You can tell that we're getting to these guys because they're all whining in public about it. No. All of them.
Starting point is 00:36:37 Blocking Scott Pressler, whining on Twitter, whining on television. Here's Bill Cassidy, whining on television. Cut 11. Watch this. I want to make health care more affordable. So I can't tell you what his priorities are beyond the SAVE Act. I can tell you what I think they should be. And how do we make life more affordable for the average American?
Starting point is 00:36:58 The SAVE Act, he wants to put in place more restrictions around federal elections, but it's already federal law that non-citizens can't vote. Scam. Yeah, but in federal races. But what he's asking is that people have to show an ID. Yeah. And showing an ID, I think, is a reasonable thing. We've done it in Louisiana.
Starting point is 00:37:14 There's been no disenfranchisement at all. But we had a reputation for corrupt elections. And now everybody acknowledges our elections are pretty straightforward. But you agree with leaders. And there just aren't the votes. They're not the votes. They're not the votes. I don't know what the president's priorities are other than this Save America Act thing.
Starting point is 00:37:33 And then you hear the woman with resting Democrat face be like, well, it's already illegal to vote, to commit fraud in elections. Yeah, it's illegal to speed. But if nobody puts a radar gun out on the road to track whether, not someone's doing it, people are going to speed. If nobody's enforcing the law, then people are going to break it. That's the problem. This Margaret Brennan's like, well, it's already illegal for non-citizens to participate in federal elections. Nobody's enforcing the freaking law. And don't give me this nonsense from Speaker Johnson who said, oh, well, we're going to make a little a pool of funding. And then
Starting point is 00:38:13 any state that wants election integrity can get money from the pool of fund. That's not going to work. That's not going to work. Democrats are not going to take money from your pool of funding in order to have election integrity. In fact, if anything, they'll just steal the money and not have election integrity. How many times do we have to go through this? Why do I have to run the affairs of the United States Congress just to get everything headed in the right direction?
Starting point is 00:38:39 I'm getting nonsense from Speaker Johnson. I'm getting no effort whatsoever from John Thune. and I'm getting really ticked off about it. And I'm not alone. You're ticked off about it. We're ticked off about it, which is why these guys are going on national television to whine about it.
Starting point is 00:38:53 That's what's happening right now. Cassidy. In fact, in that same interview, the resting Democrat facewoman on CBS, Margaret Brennan, was whining about the... She was whining. That the Senate is losing,
Starting point is 00:39:10 John Corny, Thumb Tillis, and Bill Cassidy. Now, you and I are cheering that fast. Act, establishment Washington is very sorry that they're headed at the door. Watch this. Cut 12. Will anyone else hold the president accountable once Cornyn's gone and Tillis is gone and and you're gone? The simple answer will be yes. The men and women who serve in Congress by and large love our country.
Starting point is 00:39:32 I mean, they all love our country deeply. And by and large, they will do what it's required. Now, when you're running for office, you have to be aware of what your voters are interested in. You have to talk about what your voters are interested in. you want to get reelected. But in the Senate at least, there's that space of four years prior to that. And I think you see every, every, every period there's senators that step up and say, we need something different. We need more. The Senate is a separate body, separate from the presidency. I think we're seeing that. Do you think the president understands that? I don't know if the president does.
Starting point is 00:40:05 Sometimes he acts as if Congress is merely an appendage. And frankly, sometimes Congress acts like it's an Appendage. But that said, I think you got the message yesterday. Congress wants to be read in. And Congress has our rules and procedures that our founding fathers set up. And they set it up precisely so that there would not be too powerful of an institution of a presidency, designed to reflect all of the American people, not just the will of one person. That's being tested right now. I suppose it's being tested. Appendage. You're an appendage. a vestigial tail.
Starting point is 00:40:46 Gotta remove you. Yeah. No, this is insanity. Look, chat, help me out here. Would Republicans have control of the Senate? Were it not for Trump voters right now? Yes or no? Would they have control of the Senate right now?
Starting point is 00:41:03 Yes or no. Would Republicans have control of the United States House of Representatives right now? Were it not for Trump voters? Yes or no. What's the answer to that question? It's no. It's no. It's no. There's no. I see no's no. No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No. No. You wouldn't even be in power. Were it not for Trump voters right now. Trump voters voted not just for the man, Donald Trump. They voted for the agenda. That's what they voted for. They voted for securing our border. They voted for making it possible to afford to live in America. for unleashing American energy. They voted to bring peace to our planet
Starting point is 00:41:52 wherever we can do that and to focus on America first. They voted to restore order to our country. And that includes restoring order to our elections. They voted for the Save America Act. That's what voters wanted. You think election integrity was a small concern to Trump voters? No, it was a preeminent concern.
Starting point is 00:42:14 He's like, oh, he's just got to learn that or a different body. and blah, blah, blah. No. And he makes these sort of like weirdo appeals to, oh, the founders wanted us to be. Of course the founders wanted a separate branch of government. The whole concept is checks and balances. No question about that.
Starting point is 00:42:33 But right now, the American voter has to wield its power over you, which is why Bill Cassidy was just fired. Talk about a check and balance. Louisiana voters were like, I'm dumb with your crap. It just happened for Cornyn as well in Texas. John, sorry, Thumbolina Tillis saw this coming, the writing on the wall in North Carolina. He got out before voters could throw them out. So in other words, yeah, that's a check and a balance.
Starting point is 00:43:00 And I want you to pay special attention to the fact that Margaret Brennan was lamenting, losing the establishment hacks. She wasn't concerned at all about the vulnerability of our elections. Why aren't you fighting harder? Why is this so difficult for you to get this done? 80% of the American people support it. Just put yourself in her role for a minute. How easy would the questions be? They'd be like, why aren't you doing the job
Starting point is 00:43:24 that Louisiana voters sent you to office to do? Like, theoretically, she could ask Bill Cassidy, don't you realize that the reason you were fired was because you haven't achieved something as simple as election integrity? And so she's sitting there bandying about all sorts of nonsense about like, oh, it's already illegal to do this. So why would we have safeguards against?
Starting point is 00:43:46 that doesn't make any sense or oh it really sucks that john cornon and thom and and you are leaving no it doesn't it's a great thing imagine if we had a legacy media that was actually working to fulfill what the first amendment was designed to do which is to work on behalf of the people to speak truth to power imagine instead she's abusing the rights that she has under the first amendment it's pretty contemptible but that's the that's the state of play that's the state of play And this is who we have to deal with in Washington. It's a nightmare. It's a total nightmare.
Starting point is 00:44:24 But keep up the pressure. It's working. Here, let me tell you the good news in this of all of this. These guys, I promise you, thought this debate was going to be over six months ago. They did not think that this would go any further. They thought this was going to be yet another random messaging bill. Oh, that's right. We're all co-sponsors.
Starting point is 00:44:42 And then it goes nowhere. Sorry, those are the rules of the Senate. And then they just barrel forward without actually achieving anything for you. And the great thing about this moment has been, there's been a grassroots initiative to say, to hell with you, to hell with your stunts, we want this and we want it now. And we're going to stay on you until we get it passed. And if you're not going to do it, we're going to replace you until we get the people who do. This energy, please keep it going.
Starting point is 00:45:06 Please. There's nothing astroturfed about this. I don't know a single person, truly, I don't know a single person who's being paid for Save America Act advocacy. Everything about this is from the bottom. them up. This is as grassroots as anything you and I have ever seen. But that means it's incumbent upon us to keep this energy alive. It's not like there's going to be a bunch of big donors to come flying in to help us. There's not going to be a bunch of big money that comes pouring in to help us. This is going to be grassroots generated all the way until it gets done. And it is now
Starting point is 00:45:39 officially, here's the other good news. This is a litmus test for Republican voters in the United States. No more do any of us go forward when we get to choose who our candidates are without this understanding in our minds. Do you support credible elections? Will you pass the Save America Act? That's it. So can something good come of this? Yes, something already has. You and I are more dialed in on the United States Senate, more dialed in on election integrity, more dialed in on how to make America great again than we've ever been before. And that's not going to change. Sorry, Cassidy, Tham, Thun, the rest of you. Sorry. We have your number. It's great. All right. Hey, there's some other big elements going on today. We're keeping our eyes on these Supreme
Starting point is 00:46:27 Court developments going on right now. So if we get any news on the birthright citizenship thing, I'll tell you about it. But on that front, what it takes to be a United States citizen is probably worth taking a glance at all of the chaos around the fact that the Supreme Court last week said that Haitians and Syrians have got to go. It's time for them to leave the United States of America. The court last week ended temporary protected status, or at least rather they agreed that President Trump can end temporary protected status for Haitians and Syrians who've been in our country now for decades. Boy, we are a generous people, aren't we? Well, that's all over. but it's causing immense panic on the left.
Starting point is 00:47:13 They're really upset about this. They're freaking out about it. In fact, here's a clip over on Miz Now. Cut 14, take a look at this. This is on Miz Now, this is a little watched left wing kind of lesbian cable network where they're upset that Springfield, Ohio is about to become a lot more American. Cut 14, watch. Of the 350,000 Haitians in the United States with TPS, a little over 10,000, close to 15,000 live here in Springfield.
Starting point is 00:47:48 The population of Springfield is about 58,000. So with this decision from the Supreme Court, 20% of this community in Ohio overnight has lost their status. That is going to have huge ramifications for the community as a whole. 20% of the population is invaders. 20% of the population, foreign nationals, 20%. So one out of every five people doesn't even belong in Springfield, Ohio. And of course, Ms. Now is framing this as some sort of like, oh, what a tragedy. It's not a tragedy.
Starting point is 00:48:25 It's a restoration of Springfield, Ohio. Springfield could get its city back. That's not a small thing. And again, this whole TPS thing, talk about how generous we are as a country. We let you stay here for a very long time. And now you're going to try and stay here forever? How about? No.
Starting point is 00:48:44 Now, it's, yeah, they're eating the dogs. They're eating the cats. They're eating the pets of the people who live there. I don't think the original. Thank you, Dems or Wack Jobs for reminding me of that. I don't think President Trump originally sang it, but they did in that banger AI version. It was great. Yes, that's Springfield, the same Springfield from the debate.
Starting point is 00:49:12 And look, you've got the Ohio governor. This guy's supposedly a Republican. His name's Mike DeWine. Speaking of whining, we're coming to a lot of people whining today. Ohio's governor wants them to stay forever. Look, what are you talking about? Listen to this. Cut 15.
Starting point is 00:49:27 Watch. Governor, you just heard Secretary Mullen defend the decision. You say it's a mistake. What's your take? You cannot fly into Port of Prince today. The U.S. carriers are prohibited from going in there. they've extended that ban, federal officials. The United States have extended that ban into September now. And, you know, it's been there for a long time. The reason they can't go in there is because these gang leaders who control a good part of Haiti today shoot at the planes when they come in.
Starting point is 00:49:53 So that's certainly one thing. You've pointed out, you know, advisories, heavy advisories. U.S. citizens do not go into Haiti. But the other point is it is not in the United States. United States' interest, certainly not in Ohio's interest, to have people who are working every single day, who are supporting a family, who are buying houses, fixing up old houses, starting businesses, and then put deep roots in this country and really are contributing and yank them out. I mean, look at what the mayor of Springfield says. Mayor says that is a huge, huge mistake. They're contributing.
Starting point is 00:50:33 Rob Rue says they're contributing greatly. mistake to do that. What I would hope that Trump administration would do is reconsider this. Look at how it's going to impact states like Ohio. In Ohio, the Haitians are working primarily in manufacturing. They're also working in the food area. But if you look at where they're working across the country, probably the most important area they're working is in health care. It's Haitians who many times are taking care of your mom or your dad who has Alzheimer's, taking care of family members who might be in a nursing home. And to say we're going to pull all of those out, it's just not in our own self-interest.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Yes, it is. Yes, it is. What a liar. How weak is that guy? It's entirely in our interest. So we protected Haitians for a time. Now you can go back. The earthquake ended in 2010.
Starting point is 00:51:32 And so, you know, last week, some reporter asked Stephen Miller about this. He's like, hey, is Haiti safe? It's like, yeah, for Haitians. The reason the United States advises Americans not to go there is because of risks that are directly related to being American and arriving in Haiti. But if you're Haitian, that's where you're from. The left, wasn't the left up until like eight minutes ago for reunifying families? We've got to keep families together. Let's get them back together.
Starting point is 00:52:00 Go back to Haiti. Go back. And the argument that Mike DeWine is making is like, well, these people are very productive. $350,000 people all across the country, the building, and they're in the food industry, and they're in health care, and they're creating communities, and they're so wonderful. Well, if that's the case, that's 350,000 talented people all heading back to Haiti to make it less of a bleephole. Okay? which President Trump apparently said it was a bleephole. The media went apoplectic that he called it a bleepole.
Starting point is 00:52:32 And the second you want to send Haitians back to Haiti, they're now saying it's a bleepole. So they agree with President Trump. In the end, Trump is always right somehow. How did he do that again? He's always right. And it's time for you to go back. You've long overstayed your welcome.
Starting point is 00:52:50 And that's fine. You were here. Now you can go. It's temporary. Now that is the message. from the administration fundamentally. That it's temporary. It's time to go home.
Starting point is 00:53:00 But I am concerned today about a guy called Mark Wayne Mullen. He's the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Chat. Did you see his remarks this weekend? He was on television and he said something that I did not like. He started telling Haitians, well, if you want to stay, there's these other ways that you can stay in the United States. I recommend that you apply to the following programs to attempt to stay here. I'm sitting here going, wait a second.
Starting point is 00:53:20 What are you with their lawyer? You're an immigration lawyer now? You're trying to keep people in the United States. I thought you were the Department of Homeland Security. I thought your job was to safeguard our sovereignty. Why are you giving them advice on how to stay? Watch Mark Wayne Mullen in what I consider to be a suspicious. I'm suspicious of him.
Starting point is 00:53:38 I don't like this. And I hope he gets it in check pretty quickly. Cut 18, watch. Temporary protective status was never intended to be permanent. And there's a lot of people that came over here 15, 20 years ago underneath TPS that's already changed their status. The whole time these individuals have been here underneath the temporary. protective status. They could have applied for a visa. They could have applied for LPR. They could have applied for different directions. But the status itself can be ended in its name itself by saying
Starting point is 00:54:08 temporary. So these individuals, they have a couple of choices. They can try to apply for a permanent residence here. They can apply for a temporary visa if they choose to. Or they can choose to go back. And if they want to go back, we'll help them with that. If I would, if I'm talking directly to the individuals with the temporary protective status, either try to fill out the paperwork and be here underneath a permanent status, or we'll help you get back to your country. We'll actually give you a plane ticket plus roughly $2,100 to help you reestablish when you get there. But temporary protective status, according to the courts and in its name itself, is not permanent status.
Starting point is 00:54:52 What is he doing? Why is he telling people, you just apply for a legal permanent resident or apply for a visa, apply for these other ways if you want to stay. If I was talking to them, I'd be giving them this advice. Here's the advice you should be giving them. It's time to go home. It's time to make Haiti great. If you've made America great, if that's the frame up, well, then go make Haiti great.
Starting point is 00:55:16 Go make Haiti great. We gave you time to get on your feet. Here you are. Now you got a full head of steam. Go use it to make Haiti great. What's the DHS secretary doing? Again, I've seen some people mount up a defense for him and they're saying things like, oh, well, he's just telling people what the statutes are.
Starting point is 00:55:35 It's just a recitation of the statute. Good. He's not their lawyer. Why are you doing that? Your job is safeguarding our homeland, protecting our sovereignty and helping push forward the president's agenda. I'm not asking how it's possible for them to get amnesty under the law. Why would you even recite things like that?
Starting point is 00:55:55 It's too much. And, you know, Mark Wayne Mullen apparently figured out that this was a foot and mouth moment on national television. And he wrote, let me be abundantly clear, he said later on Sunday. Temporary protected status is just that temporary. Democrats tried to turn this into the de facto honesty program. President Trump would have stopped to it. If you're in the country without status, you're here illegally. Illegal aliens have true choices. They can either accept a $2,600 stipend and a flight home to self-deport, or they will be removed. You know, look, I've got a lot of trust in the president of the United States. Not everyone who's ever worked for him has been an all-star. There have been some duds. There have been people who put in half the effort that they should have. There have been people with other agendas who thought that they could keep their head down and kind of pretend to work on the Trump agenda. I'm not saying Mark Wayne Mullen is in any of those categories specifically. I am saying that regardless of who's in office, regardless of how much you like them, you should always be attentive to the people who are wielding power over whether or not your country goes in the right direction, all the way up to the president of the United States. One of the great things about President Trump is he takes feedback, including when people disagree with him on things.
Starting point is 00:57:13 Especially if you want to reach the same destination but disagree with the strategy. Wonderful. The president welcomes that kind of feedback. But Mark William, we're on guard, dude. We're on guard for. you. And one other thing, just, you know, because in my perpetual honesty, I'm always thinking about these things. You do wonder, you ever wonder if President Trump gave him the job because he thought, you know what, I think he'll be good at this, or at least good enough? And because maybe he's not the most ironclad America first senator ever. Like, in other words, like he kind of took Mark Mark Wayne Mullen out of the Senate because he thought, well, maybe somebody else should take that job and I'll have him as DHS secretary for a time. I don't know. I don't know the answer to that question.
Starting point is 00:57:53 But I've definitely thought about it. Definitely thought about it. So remain vigilant. That's the point. Always be vigilant. Always keep your head on a swivel. And always give these guys scrutiny. No matter how much you like them, it's always worth giving them scrutiny all the time.
