And I think the only way to show it is to show how our ideas win by presenting an opposing idea. 80% of the people I get feedback on the segment love it.

20% hate it. That's fine. I respect your opinion. Shows for you. But a couple of points about this. Liberals, I got so many nasty grams this weekend from liberals about the debate segment on my show. They're like, oh, my gosh, Dan, you ambushed her. OK.

One, it's Desiree Timms was a congressional candidate. It's not personal. It's just this is professional. This is what I do. It's a battle of ideas. And she lost. I'm sorry. But a couple of points.

no tricks here. And she still doesn't know. You think if you were coming on the air to talk about hiking taxes on the rich, you'd know what the rich pay and what you want to pay. She didn't know either. Check this out. So you're saying the billionaires and millionaires don't pay enough. What are the top one percent? What percentage of income taxes paid do the top one percent pay? Do you know? I think you're asking the wrong question. The question is why are corporations and billionaires? You don't know, do you. The question is, why aren't corporations and billionaires paying their fair share? And people who are working on the front lines in the middle of a pandemic are paying more. Just guess.

What are the top 1% pay in income tax? Just guess. You have no idea. The answer is they pay 40%. They aren't paying a cent. They aren't paying a cent in taxes. Actually, if you look at actual data, you might want to try that sometimes. The top 1% actually pay 40% of all income taxes.

Did you know that? Were you aware of that? Or is this, you're just finding this out now on the show? Listen, I'm really sorry. It's an open book test. But these are our brothers and sisters in freedom over there, the people protesting. I'll get to that in a second. But we have to understand, like the freedom calculus, this stuff is going to come here. These people are being subjected to ruthless anti-civil liberties activism being made into a prison colony right now in Australia. And they figured out that this isn't going to work. My kid goes to a charter school. I have been a passionate supporter of school choice for a long time. I am a de facto product of school choice. My mother got to send me to a Catholic school, even though we didn't have a lot of money. The public school in my area, PS68, was not good. It was terrible. And we didn't have a lot of money, but I went there.

So I'm not even trying to be objective. I'm trying to give you the facts, but I am a passionate supporter of school choice because I really do believe, it's been stated many times by many people, that it is the civil rights issue of our day. If you don't give people an opportunity through a world-class education

to beat the conditions of poverty and are keeping them and their prosperity suppressed, you've really created a situation that's a moral stain on this country, and you should be embarrassed. You really should. The Democrats hate equity. Just like they talk about coronavirus and they say they want a mitigation measure, masks and all that stuff. But then they open up the border to people potentially infected to come in from all over the world. They say a bunch of crap about equity and helping out minorities. But when it comes to doing stuff, not only they not help you,

they hurt you again. It's the difference between misfeasance and malfeasance. Not only are the Democrats not helping the old lady when she falls on the sidewalk, that's misfeasance. They walk right on by the Democrats are doing malfeasance. The old lady goes to get up and they punch her on the sidewalk. That's misfeasance. They walk right on by. How? I saw this article in the Wall Street Journal. It's about charter schools. Folks, these kids have one shot. They have one shot. Many of them lived in impoverished areas. The piece, by the way, is titled Congress Beats Up Charter Schools,

a House Spending Bill Led by the Democrats, Cuts Funding and Adds New Political Strings. I mean, the story is genuinely depressing. You have these charter schools that have given these kids, these minority kids and many other kids a shot. Again, my daughter goes to a charter school. I'm not pretending in any way to be removed from this or emotionally detached. I'm not.

But I have options. If my kid's charter school is attacked, which it's being right now and others, I have options. A lot of poor parents don't. I thought the Democrats were in this for equity. They're not in this for equity at all. Listen to me and listen very clearly before I get to a cut from this, excuse me, a screenshot from the piece. These teachers unions and these liberals hate your kids. I am not using that word lightly. I am not using it for emotional effect. I am using that word because it is true. The Democrats in Congress hate your kids. They don't care about

your kids. Think about what it takes to rip money out of charter schools, helping minority kids get an education. Think about the moral depravity it takes to do that. The hatred you have to have in your heart towards people, towards kids, towards everyone. Why would you do that? To watch a kid who for the first time in a long time has a shot at a really good, decent life. Educational opportunities to open the mind and expand opportunities.

And they get in there and you rip it away from them. What kind of a sick, deranged F-bomb are you? kind of a sick deranged f-bomb are you you have to really really hate kids to do that that's a fact this is who these people are these sick deranged get the rest so what are they doing well from the peace the house appropriations committee again led by democrats the democrats in that committee recently voted to cut 40 million from charter schools. The cuts came despite an overall 40 percent increase in federal education funding to one hundred and two billion. Biden's budget proposed to hold spending for charter schools flat, but the Democrats on the committee cut that figure by 10 percent. Worse is the new language under the bill, Section 314.

None of the funds made available by this act may be awarded to a charter that contracts with a for-profit entity to operate, oversee, or manage the activities of the school. Well, charters say this could make the schools that rely on private vendors for, like, food service or stuff, which is basically all of them, or curricula ineligible for federal funding at all. So they're going to, as they dish out $100 billion in your tax dollars to schools all around the country, they're going to cut by millions. Cut. As they're giving everyone else money, they're going to cut by millions the money they're giving everyone else money they're going to cut by millions the money they give to charter schools because they hate your kids they want your kids in garbage junk failing public schools because that's where the teachers unions are and the teachers

unions pay off democrats it's really that simple and they hate your kids and then by the way they say oh but if you contract with a private entity for food services, yeah, you can't use any of the federal money we just gave you. And nobody has any problem with this? These people hate your kids. I'm really sorry. People are going to need to be shaken out of the doldrums. Ron DeSantis

won the governorship down here in Florida because a lot of black female voters who had their sons and daughters in charter schools voted for Ron DeSantis, the Republican. That's a fact. You ask anyone in Florida, there were a lot of factors why Ron DeSantis won the governorship down here, but one of the largest was the incredible proportion of black female voters relative to history where Republicans have gotten a certain

amount of votes in the past. The incredible amount of black female voters have voted for Ron DeSantis because he stood up for school choice. It is a civil rights issue of our time. There's no doubt about it. All right. So President Trump moving on, folks, President Trump was impeached for what? A fake quid pro quo with Ukraine, correct? Remember Ukraine? Oh my gosh. President Trump said on the phone he wanted information on it. He wanted to investigate Hunter Biden, which again turned out to be

a genuine scandal. He wanted them to investigate Hunter Biden in exchange for missiles and military aid. Of course, none of that happened. They made the whole thing up. It was just fake. But the Democrats impeached him saying President Trump demanded something from Ukraine in exchange for something of benefit to him, an investigation into Hunter Biden, which, by the way, turns out to be a real scandal now. Well, they made all that up. Of course, that was a fake scandal. But it's odd because if that's

the way to do it, quid pro quo, demanding things of Ukraine of value in order to get them the quid pro quo, something for something to do something for you. You would think that this would be impeachable, too. There's a piece in The Washington Post by Mark Thiessen. He does some work on Fox News. Surprise, The Washington Post. Let this be published. It's an opinion piece. Did Biden just commit an impeachable offense in Ukraine?

So what's the allegation here the allegation here is that joe biden in order to get the ukrainians to play along with the russian pipeline there's a pipeline that cuts across from russia is across the baltic over to germany it bypasses ukraine where where Russia used to have to send natural gas. Ukraine got transit fees for that. Now the Russians don't need Ukraine, can give them the double barrel middle finger, the family friendly middle finger here, right? Well, it's never really family friendly, but you get the point. The Ukrainians were understandably like, wait, you just turned up the pressure on us because now the Russians don't need us. They can shut off the gas through Ukraine and we don't get paid for the transit fees. It probably was unintentional. But I have no doubt that there was bioweapons research and gain-of-function research happening at that Wuhan lab.

And not only should we never, ever, ever fund this stuff again, this gain-of-function research happening at that Wuhan lab. And not only should we never, ever, ever fund this stuff again, this gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, which, by the way, is just obvious. Does it really require any convincing? I mean, Beto O'Rourke performed quite well there. What other explanation can there be for voting for this dunce? So these white parents got this petition and the petition reads this. This is to this lady, Bianca. It says, hey, we're writing to you because we understand you are white

and you live within the Highland Park School District and benefit from enormous privileges taken at the expense of communities of color. You live in the whitest and wealthiest neighborhood in Dallas. Whether you know it or not, you earned or inherited your money through oppressing color. However, it's our understanding that you're a Democrat, disresented liberals, and supporter of the BLM movement, which makes you one of our white allies and puts you in a position of help. We need you to step up and back your words

with action and sacrifice to make our segregated city more just. Here's the ask from Dallas Justice. I applaud them. This is awesome. We are asking you to pledge that your children will not apply or attend any Ivy League school or U.S. News report top 50 school.

If you do not have children under 18, we ask you to pledge to hold your white privilege friends, family, and neighbors with children to this standard. These schools have offered white families privilege for generations. Having your children attend those schools takes away spaces from students of color who need the job opportunities, education, and influence these these schools provide we know this sounds like a tough commitment but it's truly disheartening to see you wealthy white folks sending charitable donations posting blm on social media putting up yard signs and you're not prepared to fight for real justice
