The Dan Bongino Show - Is Trump In Danger? (Ep 1974)

Episode Date: March 22, 2023

We are at a dangerous point in our history where both our lifestyles, and our faith in institutions are collapsing. In this episode, I address the pending Trump indictment, and the economic meltdown a...nd how they threaten to unravel our Republic.  News Picks: Comedian Chris Rock says arresting Trump is not a smart move.  CNN’s audience is collapsing. Hilarious. They endorsed Joe Biden for president and it damaged their credibility. Credit card companies are being asked to track purchases of firearms. This is trouble.  There are deadly shortages of critical drugs, and the Biden team is lost on the issue. Copyright Bongino Inc All Rights Reserved Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:00 get ready to hear the truth about america on a show that's not immune to the facts with your host dan bongino see the biggest obstacle we have out there thankfully gratefully to the lord almighty god to any kind of mass social upheaval that would lead to chaos, destruction, and violence. The biggest obstacle to that is our middle class. I had a AP history teacher in high school. He's a very smart guy. He's a Democrat, but he's a smart guy and didn't bring his politics in the classroom. That's when you didn't do that kind of stuff. And he always made that point that the middle class, we have what's called the lifestyle buffer or what I call a lifestyle buffer. They're not going to give everything up to just collapse everything around them because things aren't bad enough for them. Folks, I'm a little concerned about that buffer. You got the economy bubbling and you got faith in institutions collapsing.
Starting point is 00:01:04 you got the economy bubbling and you got faith in institutions collapsing. If you were going to destroy that lifestyle buffer and see societies, we know what collapse, the two things you do the fastest are destroy the economy and then decimate faith in our institutions. We're getting there now. Busy show today, a lot going on. Today's show brought to you by ExpressVPN. You heard me talk about having to have a VPN, how you can protect your online privacy and how critical and important it is right now, especially in this environment where everybody's looking to steal your data. But choosing a VPN you trust is equally as important. I only recommend brands to my
Starting point is 00:01:36 listeners that I use and believe in. I can say with full confidence, ExpressVPN is the best VPN on the market. Here's why. Number one, ExpressVPN doesn't log your activity online. They even developed the technology, Trusted Server, that makes their VPN servers incapable of storing any data at all. Here's the second point. Speed, ExpressVPN now uses Lightway, a new VPN protocol they engineered,
Starting point is 00:01:56 to make user speeds faster than ever. ExpressVPN is always blazing fast and lets me stream videos in HD quality with zero buffering. The last thing is it's easy to use. You don't need any technical skills to set it up. I'm not the most technical guy. I use it. Just fire up the app, tap one button, and you're connected. That's it. Business Insider, The Verge, and many other tech journals rate ExpressVPN the number one VPN in the world. Go to expressvpn.com slash Bongino today and get an extra three months free when I'm on your package. That's express VPN dot com slash Bongino, B-O-N-G-I-N-O.
Starting point is 00:02:29 Thanks, Express VPN. Joe, let's go. Stuck in the middle with you. Yeah. Yeah. The middle class, man. Yes. Was that Steely Dan?
Starting point is 00:02:39 Steeler's Wheel. I'm always terrible at music. Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right. Here I am stuck in the middle. Can I ever get anything right when it comes to music? Movies, I'm okay. Tunes, forget it.
Starting point is 00:02:50 I screw it up all the time. Yeah, steal. Thank you. What's Joe's job? Joe's job is to make the host look good, right? He tried there. Thank you, my friend. You're a good man.
Starting point is 00:03:02 So I am really concerned. I did. I had a history teacher in high school, very smart guy. He wouldn't share the same political beliefs even at the time, but brilliant guy who always said the lifestyle buffer is the reason you're never going to see mass civil chaos in the United States. Something obviously none of us want. You've got kids.
Starting point is 00:03:20 You've got jobs. You've got soccer games to go to. You've got goals. You'd got jobs. You've got soccer games to go to. You've got goals. You'd like to see your kids get married. The last thing you want to see is a Viggo Mortensen-like The Road movie breaking out here where we're shooting each other over the last pound of bacon. Can we all agree? Joe, bad?
Starting point is 00:03:40 How bad do you? It sucks, yeah. He? No good? He's saying definitely no good for him either. He doesn't like that idea. Neither do I. So we've got this lifestyle buffer.
Starting point is 00:03:52 We've got the middle class, right? You know, the rich always have the ability to kind of get away, probably have their own little islands in their bunkers. Folks who are living at the lower income level in the income spectrum, even in the United States, aren't doing as bad, relatively speaking, as the poor around the world. So we've got this lifestyle buffer where people just don't want to give up the lifestyle. Therefore, social revolution and mass chaos is not likely to happen in the United States, thankfully, unless a couple of things happen.
Starting point is 00:04:21 If you were going to destroy this place and get citizen to attack citizen, mass chaos everywhere. It's not like that ghost bus, dogs and cats, you know, you ever see that line? Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria. That's it. I forgot you had that one. Very good. Yes, sir. You'd have to do two things. You have to remove the lifestyle buffer. People generally in the United States, despite the complaints of ridiculous liberals, America's racist, love living here. If they didn't, there wouldn't be millions of people lining up on our southern and northern borders trying to get in to escape the hellscape
Starting point is 00:05:06 around the world to try to get here. You got to destroy the economy first. It eliminates the lifestyle buffer against social revolution. You also have to destroy faith in institutions. Faith in institutions, once you've destroyed people's economic lifestyle and you've made them hungry, remember, we are only four missed meals away from total chaos. Don't ever forget that. Just four. You miss dinner at night, breakfast, lunch, and dinner that next day, and you don't see any food on the horizon for you and your kids. Trust me, panic starts breaking out. Stat.
Starting point is 00:05:43 You think you want to be in that situation you are out of your mind once you destroy the lifestyle buffer you have to believe that the institutions are not only not going to come and save you but they're going to target you anyway wreck faith in institutions wreck the economy and you have a disastrous witch's brew for social revolution and they're doing it right now the release valve for all of this is middle class satisfaction. And believe me, the middle class in the United States and in a lot of civilized countries around the world are starting to do both of those things. Question their economic future. And number two, their faith in institutions is entirely collapsed.
Starting point is 00:06:23 That government can solve problems, that the FBI enforces the law, that the Justice Department and court system is actually doing justice, that the people they choose to vote for politically have a legitimate shot in elections. You understand that's all going down right now. Listen to what I'm telling you. This is, again, one of those episodes I hope you listen to in five or six years and you go, oh, that was all crazy stuff. I hope that's the case.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Please. If I'm talking to you five years from now and you're listening to this, poking fun at this episode, thank God. You know, I remember being a young agent in Argentina on Jenna Bush's detail, talking to this Argentinian police officer. He was telling me about it. His dad was a police officer who was telling me about it. His dad was a police officer too. When the Argentinian middle class collapsed with the inflation and economic crisis, how the dad couldn't get over how doctors were caught mugging people in the streets to try to take people's food and money and assets. The police officer's dad couldn't get over that,
Starting point is 00:07:23 told him those stories and never want to go back there. Argentina was one of the richest countries in the world. And then it wasn't. That could happen here. But what happens when your lifestyle is destroyed, your economic lifestyle? At the same time, your faith in institutions is destroyed by them shredding institutions by them i mean the liberals and turning them into police state operations to go and target your political opponents what happens you're getting a little flavor of that right now in france folks
Starting point is 00:08:01 i had a shirt on yesterday It said we the people Today's freedom isn't free Volition shirt That tip you guys Great shirts there too When we say we the people There's a
Starting point is 00:08:15 Let's be candid here There's a side of us That really doesn't believe it I know that's painful to say Joe if I'm out of line here Stop me There's a side of us that goes, yes, yes, we the people, the government does operate by consent of the governed,
Starting point is 00:08:30 but there's a side that doesn't believe it. Dan, how dare you say such a thing? I don't, you do. I read your Facebook messages all day. I do. Where people say it's over, right? You get what I'm saying? It's over. Well, if it's we the people, how's it over? If they really work for us, then how's it over? So I'm work for us, then how's it over? So I'm just repeating what you say to me. People have lost faith that this government is really operating at our consent. Because I read your stuff. It's not just one person.
Starting point is 00:08:57 It's hundreds of people a day. But I'm here to tell you folks, it really is you the people who run this place. I want you to look at this article about France. I'm going to tie it to everything going on in Trump with the Trump and the economy right now to show you we're at a really, really perilous point. We better be very careful marching forward. French protests drag on after Macron's pension plan plan push here's what's going on in france leave that up for a second so in france emmanuel macron the french president has pushed through some government uh social insurance reforms because they were going bankrupt they basically raised the retirement age which had to be done or no one was going to get in effect what's french
Starting point is 00:09:40 social security payments so of course the people there a lot of them are losing their minds. They'd rather go bankrupt, I guess, instead. But what's happening there has some parallels to what could happen here if the economy continues to go downhill quick and the faith in institutions collapses. Joe, French garbage collectors, refinery workers, and others
Starting point is 00:10:02 engaged in kind of a general strike going on against Macron's decision to force the divisive bill, raising the government retirement age from 62 to 64 without a vote in parliament. Still one of the youngest retirement ages anywhere in the civilized world, by the way. But people over there said, nah, we don't want that. We want the government to go bankrupt instead. Okay, you're going to give us our money at 62 sure but that's not what i want to focus on this isn't a social security show or government pension show folks a general strike would empower power, the we the people, and the powerless elites. The elites are powerless? In a situation
Starting point is 00:10:50 like that, are they not? What are the elites, government, the consultant class, the academics who advise them, the lobbyists, who allegedly have the power, in case you're questioning that, which many of you are, what do those elites produce? You guys know? What do they produce? I'll tell you what they produce. They produce ideas. They produce this. They talk. They produce carbon dioxide as they talk. But they don't actually produce anything. Let me tell you something. After those four missed meals, folks, when this economy going down the hill we're going down now and it's gaining steam, if this collapses and that middle class lifestyle buffer goes down, as faith in institutions collapse at the same time, oh, that elite class is going to find out right quick who has the power and who doesn't. Yeah, they need the worker bees, brother. Oh, do they ever.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Let me tell you something. The elites are not policing the streets. They are not putting out the fires. They are not manning the hospital emergency rooms. They are not cleaning up the garbage on the street. They are not trucking goods from state to state, medicines and food so you could survive. They are not picking the fruit off the trees and the vegetables from the ground. They are doing none of that. They are not operating the utility plants
Starting point is 00:12:19 that deliver clean water to your house. None of that is happening. That is you. I don't bring this up on the show often because I don't want to appear in any way that I'm condoning this. I have been in a state of anxiety for a long time. I don't mean that dramatically over the state of the country and the collapse of our faith in institutions, but I've said repeatedly, and I'll say again, I'm long in
Starting point is 00:12:47 the United States. I think we're about to turn a corner. I do. I see signs everywhere, even little things, little things. Don't laugh, but the Morgan Wallen album, number one, the guy selling more songs than anyone in years. He was supposed to be canceled by the left, and everyone was like, ah, screw these idiots. Little things like that. I see the revolt in Iowa going on, North Carolina and Florida against deep state culture wars. But I'm telling you in the short run, folks,
Starting point is 00:13:21 Argentina was rich until it wasn't. And basically a weekend or two later, you could be looking at a really bad situation. And when faith in institutions collapse and your lifestyle buffer collapses too, people, and they stop showing up to work. And there's some kind of a general strike. You are going to have a situation in the United States where things could get really bad, really fast. You're seeing it right now. Think about this. Something as small as a retirement age change. It's not small, but relative to, it's not a civil war going on. It's not an alien invasion. The French are figuring out how to shut down French society.
Starting point is 00:14:04 So are liberals in Israel, by the way, who don't want their courts in any way accountable. They want the courts to continue to be progressive tools. They're finding ways to shut society down right now. Shut it down completely because they understand the real power is not with the elites, but with them. You can talk about all the CRT, woke, PC crap you want. The hard reality is when the farmer stops pulling those vegetables out and giving them to the
Starting point is 00:14:33 trucker to put on your supermarket shelf, you got nothing to eat. Losers on the left, they have the power, not you. I bring this up because you cannot have an economy collapse at the same time faith in institutions is collapsing. And freaking Twinkies up in New York hasn't thought about any of this. The Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg, who I think the Democrats, I noticed was it Van Jones and others, Chris Rock, who's, I don't know if he's a Democrat, but I'm assuming he's a Democrat based on some of his prior steps. I'm guessing. Chris Rock's a comedian. He seems to be the only one who's getting it. PJ Media piece, be in my newsletter today. Chris Rock asked Democrats, are you stupid for wanting to arrest Trump?
Starting point is 00:15:20 He seems, is this insane that we've got to rely on a comedian to talk to a DA in one of the most important cities on planet Earth, Manhattan, who this DA Twinkies does not realize that he at the same time as a massive economic upheaval in the United States, which is happening right now, as the Fed Reserve window gets filleted by banks that could go out of business, causing another massive financial crisis. Twinkies doesn't understand this. He's looking to decimate faith in institutions right now. I will say on kind of a humorous note, got to take it down a little bit,
Starting point is 00:16:02 a little bit of a rollercoaster show, right? Kind of a humorous note. Got to take it down a little bit. A little bit of a roller coaster show, right? President Trump did respond to Twinkies up in New York, Alvin Bragg, which is nice. He gave us this exclusive to the show. This is President Trump. If it looks a little bit like Sean Farish, it's just it's it's it's it's it's a weird picture from a weird angle. This is President Trump.
Starting point is 00:16:24 This is him responding to Twinkies. Check this out. Hey, hey, hey, I'm being indicted by Fat Alvin. Fat Alvin Bragg. What a disgrace. He's a big fat disgrace. What a terrible person. And they would call it a circus.
Starting point is 00:16:38 I would call it a circus. But everybody's talking about it. The circus has been canceled because Fat Alvin Bragg has to use the tent as a suit jacket these days. That's what people are saying. Everybody's talking about it. You know, they say you can indict a ham sandwich, but Fat Alvin Bragg, Rosie O'Donnell and Joy Behar ate all of the ham sandwiches. Now there's nothing left. Fat Fat Alfred Bragg, soft on crime, tough on Twinkies. Believe me. Now, I know that looks like Sean Farish.
Starting point is 00:17:10 In fact, we love Sean. Need to take it down a little bit. Sean underscore Farish on Twitter, true social. Please check him out. He's a good friend to the show. The best Trump impersonation voice you have ever heard. Matter of fact, if they don't send me the picture with the audio, I'm always convinced it is Trump.
Starting point is 00:17:27 So I have to make sure Jim specifies. This is from Sean. But folks, Twinkies, we can laugh all we want. He don't realize what he's doing right now. Or he does and just doesn't care. You do not want to unravel the economy at the same time you're unraveling faith and institutions. I got a lot of questions about what's going to happen after this indictment. At the same time, you're unraveling faith in institutions.
Starting point is 00:17:48 I got a lot of questions about what's going to happen after this indictment. I've got a lot of questions. But let me say before I get there, we're going to get to the questions. I'm going to tie this into the economy too at the same time. A piece of advice to the Trump team. They should strongly consider this. They're going to drag him into court and not let him do a virtual. He should stand out there on those court steps and deliver that speech right there. He should deliver a defiant speech right there that he is the
Starting point is 00:18:17 obstacle between you and the deep state, that this trial is evidence of that, that he's going to fight it with everything he has? And folks, we all need to link shields and get behind them, even his opponents. Nikki Haley, Vivek, Governor DeSantis, all of them. You don't have to support the president personally or politically. But this cause is not about the president, President Trump. It's about us and the unraveling of civil society and the collapse of the faith of institutions as they turn into police state apparatchiks. Everybody needs to link shields against that.
Starting point is 00:18:49 Everyone. I've got a bunch of questions I want to get to about this, including what to watch for after the indictment now. What's going to happen from this point forward? Let me get to my next sponsor first. Appreciate your patience. These sponsors want to be here to talk to you. We appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Keeps the show free. Folks, inflation has consequences as the Fed raises interest rates to combat out-of-control government spending. Long-term bonds have diminished in value, crippling banks. I've explained that before. Diversification of your assets has never been more important. The recent surge in gold prices show why gold has historically been a great hedge against the stock market and against inflation. I candidly, I purchased gold from Birch Gold many times. I'm
Starting point is 00:19:30 glad I did it before this crisis. The only company I trust to help you diversify into gold is Birch Gold Group. Do it now before it gets worse. I buy my gold from them. You can do the same. Text Dan, D-A-N to 989898 to get a free information kit on gold. Don't wait any longer. Birch Gold will help you convert an existing IRA or 401k that's tied to a volatile market into an IRA and physical precious metals,
Starting point is 00:19:52 gold and silver. And the best part, it's tax sheltered. Text DAN to 989898 to claim your free information kit on gold today. Don't wait. With an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau
Starting point is 00:20:03 and thousands of happy customers, Birch Gold is who I trust to protect my future and yours. Text DAN, D-A-N, to 989898 today. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results. Message and data rates apply. Hyperinflation's coming. Don't wait. All right. Twinkies hasn't thought any of this through, folks. Here's what to watch for. When does Donald Trump turn himself in? He has said he is going to. Something is going to have to happen in Manhattan. From what I'm hearing in the news reports out there
Starting point is 00:20:35 and from other sources involved in the matter, let's say, is that Twinkies is resolutely committed to getting this guy's mugshot and fingerprints so that those pictures can obviously get out there to the media so they can try to humiliate Donald Trump. My humble opinion, he should use that mugshot again out there to show that he is the face of the war against the deep state. That's my humble opinion. Trump team, you do what you want.
Starting point is 00:21:03 Folks, this is a disaster. I'm not going to go into it again. I covered it over the last few days. But for the Secret Service, it creates a security nightmare. The Secret Service has their powers do not, their federal powers are not decreased one bit by President Trump being in jail or being fingerprinted. They have every right to federally secure the, regardless of the facility, the area around President Trump.
Starting point is 00:21:24 If that means telling a corrections officer or someone else that they have to keep people away from President Trump and they decide who's going to fingerprint him, the Secret Service has every power to do that, and they should. My fear here is that let the DHS secretary, who is an obvious devout communist, and his boss, communist Joe Biden, sacrificed President Trump's security. I'll get to his safety in a minute. Another question I have here, is there going to be an arranged appearance here? Is this going to be an arranged appearance at a very specific time? Are they going to do everything virtual? Is there going to be a court appearance? Are there going to be cameras? What's it going to look like outside? What's the security situation going to look like?
Starting point is 00:22:07 I say that because I got another question coming up next about the security of Donald Trump. I'm very concerned about this. You should be too. I don't speak of these matters lightly. If President Trump holds a presser outside, does it change the course of the 2024 election? Does Alvin Bragg, Alvin Bragg hold responsibility right now, politically speaking, because he's obviously a politician first and a prosecutor second, for the resurrection of the political campaign of Donald Trump?
Starting point is 00:22:38 If Trump holds a defiant, successful presser after this and then uses the information to show he is the warrior against the deep state, a very popular fight, especially amongst American conservatives. I'd argue independence too. This alters 2024, folks. Let me get to another question. Folks, I am extremely concerned about former President Trump's safety. I put former in there because a former president's security detail know a little bit about this fellas a former president's detail security detail is significantly lighter in its footprint than a sitting president here's the problem. The threat profile of Donald Trump, the threat footprint,
Starting point is 00:23:28 how dangerous and perilous a situation he's in right now, very simply stated. I could make a good case to you with my background in both psychology, protective intelligence in the Secret Service, and 12 years in that assignment with the protection, criminal investigations, or protective intelligence cases. I could make a case to you on firm, solid concrete, not sand,
Starting point is 00:23:52 that Trump's security threat level is geometrically higher than Biden's right now. So what's the problem? Well, then if the threat level's higher, surely he has more protection than Biden does. Nope, that's not the way. This is the government, folks. The government doesn't work according to logic. It works according to budgets and bureaucrats. The President of the United States,
Starting point is 00:24:18 the money he gets, Biden, for his security, is a multiple higher than Trump. I'll just go through a few things. It's not as classified, but hopefully to put some pressure on some people to get this security detail on Trump bumped up immediately. I am genuinely concerned about the man's security. I hope this is one of those shows that turns out later to be nonsense. President Trump doesn't have the presidential limos. Folks, those limos, they're not called the beast. Please, again, we've done, please stop with the stupidity, the beast. It's not called, the only idiots call it the beast. That's a press thing. The presidential limos and ones Biden are in. I was in transportation for over two years.
Starting point is 00:25:08 The presidential limos have a far higher degree of security than the armored Suburbans and Chevys they have them in now. Far higher degree. Not even close. This is serious. WACA. What's WACA? What is that? Fozzie Bear? WAC serious. WACA. What's WACA? What is that? Fozzie Bear?
Starting point is 00:25:28 WACA? WACA? No, no, it's not Fozzie Bear. Liberals. Dumbasses. So. WACA stands for White House Communication Agency. The White House Communication Agency is responsible for all the president's comms.
Starting point is 00:25:43 They make sure everything is extra secure. Doesn't give away the position, communications, none of that. Former presidents don't get WACA. White House communications agency. They don't have that. Wham-O.
Starting point is 00:26:00 What's Wham-O? Sounds like an infomercial thing. Wham-O. No, no no it's not that either whamo central white house military office there are other let's say support things the united states military does for the president president trump has none of these things not whamo not waka not the presidential limos Not Wham-O, not WACA, not the presidential limos. Agents.
Starting point is 00:26:37 I just told you the budget for the president, Biden, is multiple points higher, percentage points of spending higher than it is for Trump, which hires more agents. Agents are manpower. Manpower is necessary to stop a potential attack against the president. I don't believe the manpower on this guy is sufficient. And if this show bothers you, that's the point. One more point. Now, this one I'm unsure of. I don't want to. Does the president have a counter-assault team?
Starting point is 00:27:00 Cat, that is our SWAT team, our special weapons team. Does former President Trump have that? If not, he should immediately, fully staffed, 24 hours a day. Remember, the Secret Service's job, guys and ladies, is not to fight. Yeah, Dan, you guys got guns and batons and weapons. No, no, no, that's not our job. Our job is to keep the president and our protectees, President Trump, Biden, whoever it is alive. It's not to fight the other guy and see who's got a bigger crank. That's not what we do. If we have to shoot to get out of a spot, we will.
Starting point is 00:27:31 But we run. It's not out of cowardice. It's out of necessity. However, what happens when you run? Joe, you got a dog, right? If you run, what does the dog do? He'll run faster. He'll run after you, right?
Starting point is 00:27:44 Oh, yeah. He'll run after me yeah i've got news for you bad guys do the same thing so when we run they follow us so we have a SWAT team cat that stays back and dukes it out and does it really good president trump have one of those i don't know i haven't asked no one and I'm not going to because I wouldn't disclose it even if he did. But that team better be staffed with some of the best of the best because this guy's security situation is degenerating fast because of the crazed lunatics. And listen, but don't forget the point of the show. Don't ever bury that lead in here.
Starting point is 00:28:27 of the show. Don't ever bury that lead in here. I am genuinely concerned about social unrest and chaos, which is not what you or anyone else want. This is not the time for faux bravado. If something happens to this guy, because Twinkies and these other maniacs will not stop, fascist, Nazi, jail, handcuffs, lock them they will not they will not stop they are putting this guy in a horrible situation and having interviewed thousands of legit crazy people as a protective intelligence agency while doing this job myself people are nuts and something could happen to this guy and the probability of it is high. I'll bet Bragg hasn't thought of any of this or just doesn't care. So what does this do to the 2024 race?
Starting point is 00:29:19 Well, politically speaking, forget about the security situation for a second. That's a total disaster. That's completely divorced from the politics of this. If Donald Trump handles this right and comes out of this victorious, which I think the case is ridiculous. It's absurd to the point of obscene. It couldn't power him in 2024, but he's got to handle it right. I addressed on my radio show, my podcast yesterday, I'm going to give both a fair shake to Santus and Trump. Listen, I am a Donald Trump supporter. I have been, okay? I can't say that enough. However, I owe you, the audience, a fair shake on both sides. It's a responsible thing to do. I love the governor down here too, Ron DeSantis. He's been the best governor I've ever seen in my lifetime. But I'm going to give you an honest
Starting point is 00:30:00 shake here on how this is going to change up the 2024 race, if the right moves are made for both sides. Let me get to my next sponsor first. Appreciate your patience. It's going to be an important segment coming up. Folks, brickhousenutrition.com slash Dan. Why should you go there? Because I have this product, Field of Greens, that I'm proud to say I had a role in developing.
Starting point is 00:30:21 I spoke to the guy who runs the company, Miles, a couple years ago, actually four or five years ago now. I said, I got a favor in developing. I spoke to the guy who runs a company, Miles, a couple of years ago, actually four or five years ago now. I said, I got a favor to ask. I am a huge believer in the power of God's gift to us, fruits and vegetables. The micronutrients in there, the color, all of it, the chemicals that cause the color in these fruits and these vegetables, these are keys to good health. No serious person tells you otherwise. So what was the problem? So I said to Miles, I don't have any time.
Starting point is 00:30:51 I can't sit there and saute this and that and cook that and boil this. And I don't even have time to throw some in the microwave. I said, there's a lot of these garbage supplements out there. Can you get high quality, wholesome fruits and vegetables, make it taste good and grind it into a powder? Well, Miles is a go-getter and that's what he did. And this has been a staple of my eating plan and diet since it came out. It's called Field of Greens. I enjoy the wild berry in the original. He likes the lemon lime. It is absolutely delicious. It's a
Starting point is 00:31:25 science-backed formula of wholesome, healthy, specific fruits and vegetables you're not going to find in any other product. Proper nutrition is the key to a healthy lifestyle. There's not a serious health professional out there who's going to tell you otherwise. Sometimes when I go on the road and you're eating deli food all day, there's not the opportunity to eat as healthy as I should. That's why this is my insurance field degree. You'll look and you'll, you'll like me. You'll probably look and feel healthier fast and have more energy with good
Starting point is 00:31:55 nutrition, but your best proof at your next checkup will be, I bet when your doctor says to you, whatever you're doing, it's working, keep it up. Let me get you started with 15% off. Try it today.
Starting point is 00:32:04 Try it today. Try it today and notice the results for yourself. Go to BrickHouseNutrition.com slash Dan. That's BrickHouseNutrition.com slash Dan. Use promo code Dan. Again, that's promo code Dan. Try it today at BrickHouseNutrition.com slash Dan. I can't personally vouch for a product stronger than I can for this.
Starting point is 00:32:23 I've been taking it for years. I love it. BrickHouseNutrition.com slash Dan. Okay. So how does the indictment of Trump and the pending arrest, fingerprinting and all of this nonsense, how does this shake up 2024? Let's talk about through the Trump lens first.
Starting point is 00:32:44 Folks, the one thing Donald Trump has to be very careful about right now is there's an opportunity cost in economics and in politics, too. What's an opportunity cost? It's when you waste your time on something that's not value added over something you could be doing that adds higher value to you in your life. I always use the example of the bagel store. I used to have one in my neighborhood, and I would see the owner of the store whose best asset was managing the store, making sure the Coca-Cola's and the Snapple's were lined up, making sure everybody was cutting the sandwiches and making the breakfast sandwiches the right time. That was his value added. But once in a while, folks, the bagel roller guy would call in sick. He was from Thailand.
Starting point is 00:33:22 His name was Ray. So the owner of the store would have to go back and roll the bagels, which he was really bad at. Now you may say, wow, look, the owner of the store. That's pretty good. He can roll bagels. Nope. There's a foregone opportunity here.
Starting point is 00:33:37 He's actually losing money because he's better off managing the store while someone else can more efficiently roll the bagels. There are opportunity costs in politics too. My one beef with the Trump campaign has been for a long time. And I'm just being candid here because I really love the guy. Is they waste time on bold. Do you guys agree? Are you okay?
Starting point is 00:34:05 he said yes what did you just say? no I'm serious dude I'm serious they waste time on BS stop with the
Starting point is 00:34:21 the Santas may have some male you you know, guy in his past saying that. Why are we doing that right now? We need to be managing the bagel store, not badly rolling the bagels in the back. That's not the time. This isn't the time for any of this. We need to focus you you had an amazing four-year run as president even despite the covid drama and some missteps there a lot of people would have screwed
Starting point is 00:34:57 up a lot of stuff in covid i'm not saying it's apologizing for anyone i'm just saying they would have to. Stop wasting time. Stick to the fights that matter. Economic growth, fighting inflation, people's savings, getting a hold of government spending, school choice, access to doctors, patient-controlled healthcare. The abortion business in the United States and the termination of human life. Schooling, all of it. Stop wasting time. The deep state, most importantly, stop wasting time, man. Now, what's that doing? It's then forcing DeSantis into a corner to have to respond to nonsense like nicknames and stuff
Starting point is 00:35:46 where DeSantis honestly should be out there right now. I think the best thing for DeSantis' presidential campaign, this may sound crazy too, and DeSantis people take it or leave it. The best thing you could do right now is say, I'm not going to get involved in these petty fights over nicknames or any other stuff. I'm just here to say one thing right now about Donald Trump. He's not my opponent. I'm not other stuff. I'm just here to say one thing right now about Donald Trump. He's not my opponent. I'm not running yet. I'm just saying what's happening to him with this deep state is clearly unacceptable. I am a lawyer. I've got experience in this. We're here to help if you need us. The guy's stock would shoot up a thousand points. But for some reason, he went on
Starting point is 00:36:21 Piers Morgan, which I don't understand for the first interview and that appears i just don't get it and he gave an interview to piers morgan and they get lost in this nickname stuff again you see how both sides get caught up in this stuff and we're wasting time rolling bagels while we could be managing the store here take a listen is your favorite nickname that trump's given you so far is it ron DeSanctimonious or Meatball Ron? Well, I can't. Even he went off Meatball Ron. I can't. I don't know how to spell DeSanctimonious. I don't really know what it means, but I kind of like it's long. It's got a lot of vowels. I mean, so we go with that. That's fine. You know, you can call me, you can call me whatever you want.
Starting point is 00:36:59 I mean, just as long as you, you know, also call me a winner. I'm not, I'm not blaming the guy for responding, by the way. I'm just saying this is a big waste of time. We can do the Ron meatball or is it meatball, meatball, Ron, whatever you want to do that on stage in the debate. I think it's not productive,
Starting point is 00:37:17 but we have months and months and months of debates to do that. We've got Twinkies up in New York right now, shredding the Constitutional Republic at the same time the Treasury Secretary is ready to destroy the entire economy. And we're talking about like Meatball Ron and so who cares? This is stupid. Do you understand we're making the other side look serious? The rotting bag of oatmeal corruptocrat, Chinese Communist Party sellout with his formerly crack addicted son. We're making them look like the serious people while we're debating Meatball Ron versus does he have a picture, a gay picture out there?
Starting point is 00:38:03 What are we even talking about? You understand how frustrating this is? Horse blinkers on, man. Focus on what's ahead of us. We got a major banking crisis brewing. I'm going to get to in a second. I'm going to sum it up quickly. Getting ready to destroy middle-class lifestyles
Starting point is 00:38:24 and getting ready to decimate faith in institutions at the same time. And we're arguing over freaking meatball Ron. This is so dumb. And we're making this idiot look serious. Here's Biden in battle number 6,242 versus a teleprompter the guy can't even read a poem listen yourself and always one moon like a silent drum tapping at every rooftop and every window on every of every county country let me start this over again i'm getting so intimidated by being here. And always one moon, like a silent drum, tapping on every rooftop and every window of one country, county, county. All of us facing the stars.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Hope, a new constellation waiting for us to map it, waiting for us to name it together. We're making this guy look serious. The guy can't even read a poem from a teleprompter. Country, county, method. He can't even read in a teleprompter. There are far more important things going on. I'm not trying to be some neutral arbiter here.
Starting point is 00:39:43 I'm not your referee. I'm not a campaign advisor. Just telling you, I've been involved in this business a long time, run for office, had a show, worked in the White House. I've got kind of a decent flavor for all of it. I'm making a big mistake right now. Stay focused. Don't get baited into dumb questions and don't get baited into putting out dumb statements. Stay focused. All right, folks, I haven't even addressed the faith in institutions part. I think you understand. You have to go in over that section with Trump. It's about to collapse because of Twinkies. Folks, the economy is in really bad shape. They are not telling you how bad it really is right now. I'm here to give you the truth.
Starting point is 00:40:29 it really is right now. I'm here to give you the truth. It's coming up next. Folks, getrefunds.com. If you own a small business, you know the value of time. So does Innovation Refunds. That's why they made it easy, no matter how busy you are, to apply for the ERC. That's the Employee Retention Credit. Go to getrefunds.com to get started. And in less than eight minutes, see if your business qualifies for ERC assistance. Your business may be eligible for a payroll tax refund of up to $26,000 per employee kept on payroll during COVID-19. Innovation Refunds has already helped clients claim over $3 billion in payroll tax refunds through the ERC. They may be able to help your business too. There's no upfront charge either. They don't get paid until your business gets its refund. Many businesses believe they won't qualify
Starting point is 00:41:08 based off incomplete or outdated information. So don't let this opportunity pass you by because this payroll tax refund's only available for a limited amount of time. But you got to go to getrefunds.com. That's getrefunds.com. Thanks, getrefunds.com. Folks, we're in trouble here.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Combine what Twinkies is doing and people's faith in the government collapsing, the police state emerging. Combine that with the lifestyle obstacle of your middle-class lifestyle about to be decimated, and we got a problem. Look at this CNBC article. I intentionally use left-wing resources sometimes to show you that even they're being forced to report on this stuff. Our Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen says the government could backstop more deposits if necessary to stop contagion. You think they're talking about this during the Biden administration, which unquestionably creates anxiety and political problems for Joe Biden?
Starting point is 00:42:03 If behind the scenes, they're not secretly terrified about two things in that headline. First, deposits. Folks, what's happening right now? Our banking system is being drained of deposits. By who? The depositors. Which are who? You. Inflation is crushing our lifestyles. Savings are being depleted at an increasingly rapid rate. And people have to pay their bills. So they're writing checks and pulling money out of the bank. The problem is the banks all invested in interest rate sensitive government securities and mortgages. in interest rate sensitive government securities and mortgages.
Starting point is 00:42:48 As the housing market is in the process of collapsing right now, as prices go down for the first time in nearly a decade. Also, as inflation is raging in our economy, it's had a huge number in the United Kingdom here and around the world, and people's buying power goes down. So they need more money to pay off their bills as they have less equity in their homes, and they have less money to spend on food because the same money buys fewer things. So the government's saying, don't worry, we'll just print it and float it into the system, which as I said to you yesterday, begs the fairly obvious question,
Starting point is 00:43:27 well, isn't this whole crisis with interest rates and inflation caused by printing money? So we're going to print more to stop the problem we cause? Yes, sir. Which is going to cause what? Well, Joe, do you think printing money to backstop every human being's deposit in the U.S. bank would cost thousands or would it cost trillions? What do you think? Probably trillions. Yeah, you would say good guess. Trillions of trillions.
Starting point is 00:43:57 And you'd be right. Now, Joe, you're not an economist, correct? No, I'm not. Or a financial advisor. Not at all. He's just a reasonably smart guy. Joe's doing the math like all the money in the United States is in the US banking system. It's in the US banking system. Billions? No. Hundreds of billions? Probably. Yes,
Starting point is 00:44:13 you would be correct. So we're going to print trillions. Now, would that cause inflation? I'm going to surprise you with the answer. No, it wouldn't. What do you mean it wouldn't cause inflation? It would cause mega inflation. Hyper Hyper inflation. You think inflation is 6% bad? What about the inflation they've seen in Turkey? What is it, 7? No, it's about 100%. Meaning your money doesn't buy anything anymore. Prices are out of control for stuff you can no longer afford
Starting point is 00:44:39 as you're wheeling barrels of money like the Weimar Republic or Argentina into the grocery store. Oh, yeah. May not need the wheelbarrows. You got digital currency now, but you ain't going to be able to buy anything. Is Twinkies considered all this? Here's Janet Yellen, by the way. And if you're saying to yourself fairly enough, Dan, I'm not worried. I'm a liberal. The people in government have got this. They're super smart. Don't you worry about it. As the Fed loans out historic amounts of money to banks right now, I'm telling you, as they're draining deposits from banks that are ready to go out of business.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Here's Janet Yellen going, don't sweat it, everyone. Yeah, I got this. The banks are sound. No worries here here the situation is stabilizing and the u.s banking system remains sound really has she looked at how much money the fed is digitally created to backstop the banks that are seeing depositors come in you and pull their money out of course she has so why is she saying it's sound? Because she's lying? And she's trying to politically protect Joe Biden? The economy right now is a disaster. And she knows it. What happens when things like critical drugs for cancer patients dry up too?
Starting point is 00:45:56 I'll get to that in a second. But here's Yellen again. You want to see what a political actor in a crisis looks like who's trying to hide information from you here's her telling you no sweat the economy yeah it's performing well she's either asleep or playing politics there's no other option check this out and take an economy that is performing very well we've had the fastest recovery from a downturn that we've ever seen and the fastest recovery of any nation around the globe. The unemployment rate is near a 50-year low. The economy is doing well. You may be working, but your real wages and what you can buy have
Starting point is 00:46:41 been going down now for years. You're working more to buy less. And she knows that. He brought up a good point. It's the same woman, the expert in charge. Experts. Trust government experts. They know what they're doing. They're the smart people.
Starting point is 00:46:54 We're all idiots, right? Inflation's transitory. It was 6% last month as we just printed hundreds of billions of more dollars. Oh, Dan, you're starting to scare people with the drug shortage stuff. Am I? Axios, it's a left-leaning site, probably to the left of Politico. Drug shortages, upend hospital care, and cancer treatments. I know a little bit about cancer. There's a bit. Let me tell you something. Here's the interesting thing about cancer. If you're getting chemotherapy and you're putting it in your port and your chest, say, like I did, it's basically a poison. The thing about those poisons is it's supposed to kill the cancer before it kills you. You got to get it on a pretty regular basis. What happens? The cancer gets ahead of the treatment. gets ahead of the treatment.
Starting point is 00:47:46 But what would happen if we couldn't find those drugs? You ever thought about that? Like what's happening right now? This isn't me saying people will die. Here's the director of the Division of Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics at the University of Alabama telling the Wall Street Journal, people will die from this shortage for sure. I didn't add in that for sure. That's, as you can see from Guy,
Starting point is 00:48:06 that's in the quote right there. Does Twinkies get this? You think Twinkies understands that we're in the midst of a massive great recession, part two? Banks are getting ready to go under as the Federal Reserve causes another massive hyperinflation crisis,
Starting point is 00:48:23 printing hundreds of billions. As the economy starts to dry up and things like drug shortages are starting to kick in. But don't worry, the left has their arms around it, Joe, the experts. I mean, the progressives are all into progress, right? Their new goal is what? Shoring up drug shortages, getting a hold of inflation and out of control government spending and printing. No, no, they want a new minimum wage, $20.
Starting point is 00:48:48 That's funny. No, that's not funny. That's real. Political. Progressives have a new minimum wage goal, $20. Hey, how about a hundred? How about a thousand? What's the difference?
Starting point is 00:48:58 I mean, what's the difference? And here's, this is hilarious. Why do they want a $20 minimum wage? You guys want to take a stab at it? They're saying, because there's a problem out there. The problem is hilarious. Why do they want a $20 minimum wage? You guys want to take a stab at it? They're saying because there's a problem out there. The problem is inflation. That's a good one. That's a good one.
Starting point is 00:49:14 So progressives, these same communist, socialist, tyrant, fascist thugs that have pushed forever for the destruction of the United States, spending money we don't have so we've had to print it, which caused the inflation death spiral we're in now. Now want more money, putting more businesses out of business with a ridiculous minimum wage goal, $20, because of the inflation they cause. It must be great being a dumb ass liberal. It must be terrific to live in the fantasy land of stupid every day. These people are never going to stop, folks.
Starting point is 00:49:52 I just want to go back to one more thing. Remember what we're talking about. This is going to collapse if we don't get our arms around this quickly. That lifestyle buffer is about to go away from a lot of people who may be looking at their jobs falling apart, their economic lives falling apart, shortages of cancer drugs, hyperinflation, all combined while you get 30, 40% of the country doesn't trust any institution anymore, including Twinkies and justice in the United States. This is all happening as the police state dismantles
Starting point is 00:50:27 civil liberties one by one. You already don't have the right to speak freely. They're working with Twitter and Facebook to shut you down. You don't have the right to assemble, as a lot of people on January 6th who showed up are finding out today. The right to fire, the right to own your firearm, to protect yourself, gone in many of these blue states, which are declaring whole portions of the state safe zones. And one of their primary targets right now is they want to make sure you do not have the right to legal counsel, just like China right now is doing in Hong Kong and will do in Taiwan if they take over there. They do not want you to have a lawyer.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Remember us talking about this yesterday? Have you noticed every single person who is legally represented Donald Trump has found themselves the focus of an investigation or a criminal investigation? Have you noticed that? That is not by accident. I said that yesterday, and boom. Look at what pops. ABC News. sources, special counsel claims that Trump deliberately misled his attorneys about classified documents, judge wrote.
Starting point is 00:51:35 Oh, sources, another leaked ABC News about Trump and his relationship with his lawyers. Trump misled them. Why do you think this was leaked, guys? What do you think this was leaked, guys? What do you think this is about? Here it is again. An effort to divorce Donald Trump from the ability to contract with effective legal protection. Hey, look, lawyers out there, winky, winky, nod, nod. Donald Trump lied to you. Don't defend Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:51:59 And by the way, if you do defend him, we may lock you up too. You doubt me? Oh, look, Trump's lawyer now is a guy by the name of Joe Takapina. Playbook this morning. Man, we are Joe as if on cue. That Takapina may not be allowed to defend Trump because Playbook's saying, well, there may have been some communications between Stormy Daniels and the Trump attorney. Interesting how every single one of Donald Trump's lawyers seems to find themselves under some form of a political or criminal attack. It's almost as if they're pulling the China-Hong Kong thing
Starting point is 00:52:34 where they're trying to divorce people from legal protection so they're sitting ducks for the police state. So strange. You'd think Trump would know some good lawyers that, you know. Oh, maybe. Now, he's got a little bit of dough, right, Joe? Yeah. He's got some dough.
Starting point is 00:52:48 So you think he'd have the best lawyers in the business? Yeah, I would think so. What's the best way to separate him from the lawyers? Put him in jail. There you go. Threaten him. Yeah, that's what police states do. All right.
Starting point is 00:52:59 A bit of good news to end the show today. Folks, we are taking back the country and the information ecosystem out there. It's happening right now. I just want to show you something to show you how bad it's gotten for the left and why I'm long in the United States. I'm not sure they're going to be able to continue this much longer. Here's CNN, right? Beloved by the left, full of left-wing lunatics. CNN, this is their ratings, folks. They've been struggling. So the ratings just came out. Their prime time audience. Okay, prime time. What is that?
Starting point is 00:53:27 Seven to 10 or whatever it is. This is when every eyeball's on TV, right? This is when you're the strongest. They had an average in prime time of 383,000 viewers. In prime time. Do you have any idea how bad that is? Ladies and gentlemen. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:48 Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Dude, that's my money. Come on, man. Give me the price. At least a double, man. Sheesh, that's a minimum of a double money.
Starting point is 00:53:59 Come on. 383,000 viewers. Now, our show is on Rumble, Apple, Spotify, SoundCloud. Here's just Rumble, the video version. This is from yesterday. Monday's show got 688,000, almost double CNN's audience. And yesterday's show is already at 524,000 on Rumble. That's just yesterday's show. That's just yesterday's show is already at 524,000 on Rumble. That's just yesterday's show.
Starting point is 00:54:27 That's just yesterday's show. That doesn't even count audio, which is bigger, far bigger. Good job, guys. No, I'm serious. The information ecosystem, we're taking it back. The lies have got to stop. All right, folks, thanks again for tuning in. I really appreciate it.
