We have to figure out what is going on in a major American city, Portland, Oregon, a place, a scene of chaos where the left continues its siege night after night on an ice facility. But what are local law enforcement doing? What are the cops doing in that community? One would think that they want the help of the feds to enforce the law. But what we've seen is anything but law enforcement from the Portland Police Department. We'll get into all of that coming up on this program. Some breaking news overnight on that subject. It seems like they don't want help. They prefer chaos and they'd like the rest of us to stop paying attention to them. Well, I got to tell you, you're part of America. And President Trump is interested in restoring peace in every city in America. He's doing it right now in Memphis, Tennessee, and he's trying to do it in Portland, Oregon, in particular to defend the ICE facility where they are processing illegal aliens that are taking into custody and getting them out of the country. But it's not without difficulty. The ICE facility there in Portland continues to be attacked, rioted at, laid under siege with each passing night by leftists over and over and over again as Antifa continues to cause trouble there.

and that's why you have the federal law enforcement going in to try and put a stop to all of that. But last night, we got an update on this story, and it's not that Portland police are helping anything. Instead, is that they've placed journalist Nick Sortor under arrest. Nick Sortor is a America-loving, peace-loving, decent human being who brings so much of this chaotic footage to the rest of us because the legacy press won't. So Nick does it. Nick goes out night after night and captures what's happening for real on the ground in America's cities and shares it with the rest of us. And Nick was doing that last night. And while he was doing that, he was attacked by the mob.

He was attacked by Antifa. Here he is last night, cut five. Here's Nick Sortor being surrounded by the mob. Take a look at this. And you'll see him. He's in a gray hoodie. for those of you watching rumble.com slash Vince. He's in a gray hoodie surrounded by the mob.

He's got a kind of a colorful light reflecting off of him. I think that's just his own personal video light that was hit into a different mode. Normally he uses it just to illuminate the scenes that he's looking at. I can tell. And the mob there keeps encroaching on him, getting close to him, shoving him.

So that's the experience he was having last night in Portland, Oregon. And this video captured, from an elevated position by, it looks like Honey Badger Mom, who shared it on X. So that's what Nick was dealing with last night. So you wonder, after seeing footage like that, what in the world could have led to Nick being placed under arrest? Because that is what we ended up with.

Here's the footage last night of Portland Police, cut six, placing Nick Sortor under arrest last night on screen, those of you watching on the video show, seeing Nick now being placed in handcuffs surrounded by Portland police officers who have him handcuffed. Again, this is just a conservative journalist, a decent American, he's a patriot out there on the ground, capturing all of this footage, being taken into custody. And why? What's the point of this? Why are they arresting that guy? Meanwhile, people were assaulting him last night. Do the math for us, would you? Give us a clear understanding of why this man of all people is being placed under arrest. So there's Nick. Nick, of course, spending some of the night in custody last night with the Portland Police Department.

Now, look, in Portland, there's a lot going on there. Not only was he placed under arrest last night, not only was he assaulted. But earlier in the evening, you should know, Nick actually worked to keep an American flag from being fully engulfed in flames. He was rescuing an American flag last night. the lunatic antifa protesters lit an American flag on fire and you see here Nick on the video footage grabs the American flag he puts the flames out and then he picks up the American flag and he carries it away from the terrorists who are trying to burn the stars and stripes so all Nick was doing last night was endless acts of heroism and journalism he was doing exactly what we want

ladies and gentlemen how did that guy end up in in handcuffs last night So that's the story. One last piece here from Nick. Nick last night, in addition to putting out the American flag, also captured this great footage. To the extent that any law enforcement was happening in Portland yesterday, it was at the hands of federal law enforcement. You see, at the ICE facility, you've got federal law enforcement protecting it from the ice guys. And look at this video. Boom, an Antifa guy gets tackled to the ground by federal law enforcement, hands placed behind his back. They hog tie this guy. They carry him. A couple of these guys, they just pick this little dude up and they carry him back into the facility. They detain him. They arrest him. They process him.

And so look, if you want law enforcement in Portland right now, then mess with ICE, mess with federal law enforcement. And you're going to get truck sticked, which is what happened last night. And again, Nick Sortor doing great journalism last night. He wasn't out there to cause trouble. He was there to document the trouble. He was there to stop people from lighting American flags on fire. And yet somehow he's the guy who ends up with handcuffs on him from the Portland Police Department. Now, in the saga of Nick Sortor, we have some updates for you this morning that have been given to us by Bill Malusian at the Fox News Channel.

And Bill's a great reporter. Bill's been all over this. He said this morning that he spoke with Nick this morning by phone. and after he was released from custody. And he asked him, you know, what happened? What were you charged with? What did even happen? He says he was getting video of protesters who were getting maced by federal agents last

night, which was embarrassing video for the protesters as they were crying. He says they then swarmed, that is the Antifa rioters, the terrorists. They swarmed and surrounded Nick and they pushed him down into a flower bed and somebody threw a punch at Nick. Nick says at that point he swung back and he missed. And then he disengaged from the crowd and he walked over to a group of Portland police officers. That may be the footage I just showed you a moment ago. He says he was then shocked to be arrested by Portland police.

And then he sat in the back of a police cruiser while the officers figured out what to charge him with. Apparently, a female protester was also arrested with him. He said he talked to her in the jail. She didn't seem like she was the one who assaulted him. but he was charged with disorderly conduct last night for what for defending himself as he as he was being assaulted by antifa rioters now bill also offered this update this morning saying that additionally that that nick has been not just released from custody but that he'll be speaking with bill malusian some more so we expect more commentary from from from

Nick Sortor. And I'm looking to have a conversation with Nick, too. I want to find out what's going on here as he deals with this garbage in Portland. Now, Nick is not the only journalist to have to deal with this in Portland this week. There's another story that I've been talking about with you, but I want to show you some footage now to support what's going on. Katie Daviscourt is a great journalist who's been covering all of this chaos in Portland as well. And earlier this week, and she does work for the post-millennial. Earlier this week, She was assaulted by an Antifa rider who took a flagpole and struck her directly in the face and gave her a pretty nasty black eye in the process. Here's footage.

This is journalist Katie Davoskort, cut nine, being assaulted by Antifa rider earlier this week. So she's walking through the street here. The Antifa rider takes a flagpole, clocks Katie in the head as Katie's just trying to capture footage, strikes her in the face. The effect of that is the rioter left Katie with a really substantial black eye. And then in the video footage, you see that the rioters continue to attack anybody who tries to stop this, including there's a big guy who looked like he was there to protect Katie and trying to stop these riders from doing any more damage. And the rioters start hitting him with things like plastic lightsabers and all their stupid toys that they have with them as he tries to protect Katie for, any further assault.

But this is what's happening on the streets of Portland. And notice that there's no law enforcement to be seen. You don't see cops out there putting an end to this. There's no Portland Police Department attempting to stop these assaults from happening. It's just happening. And poor Katie gets struck

in the face. And so what ends up happening is Katie then follows her assailant. This little dumpling of a chick who struck her with the flagpole. They're following her through the streets of Portland. And Katie hails a police officer. over and says, hey, there's the woman who assaulted me. Please help me place her under arrest,

would you? Because I was just assaulted. And it's not like Katie has to go out of her way to prove it. She's got a gash underneath her eye. She's got a black eye as a result of being struck by this flagpole. Here is some video footage. I'm going to take you through now. This is Katie Davoskort walking alongside some feckless Portland Police Department officer who is not making an arrest of her assailant. Look at this. Cut 10. Here's Katie trying to get that to happen. This is Katie following her assailant through the streets now who's got a compatriot. They're both masked up. They're wearing all black. They've got their facing covered. Have the police guy following. So we're going to see if anything happens. She's got the police guy

following. We're going to see if anything happens. The police officer just continues to walk with her for blocks. And then you see in the footage, he walks up to the assailant. Ever so, you know, a little faster pace now. And he taps her on the shoulder, he goes. Yes. Jan's poor backpack. That one. Which one?

Her. Do not touch me. Which one, he says? This one? I am not. And she says, don't touch me. Do not touch her. Do not touch her.

Do not touch me. I am underage. Do not touch her. And then the girls, the two, one of the assailant walks across the street. The police officer does nothing. He doesn't stop her. She just keeps going. So for a moment, he puts his hand on her shoulder, nothing.

And then she just walks off. And the rest of the video footage is Katie Daviscourt following this chick by herself until she ends up at some weirdo homeless encampment or whatever that Antifa has set up, disappears into it. And poor Katie has no recourse whatsoever. Nothing. Nothing. So actual assaults happening on the streets of Portland, Oregon.

No consequences for the assailants. And Katie Daviscort is being subjected to this kind of harassment. and assault. And even at the moments where cops know the suspect, nothing. Pathetic reaction by the police officer in this video. Yeah, chat saying useless, loser cop, says Lynn 359. Wow, pathetic, says Cowie's 63-603. So yeah, no, totally pathetic. I see this video and I'm like, this is crazy to me. This is crazy. And that cop does nothing. What was he scared of the two little, you know, fat chicks who we're going to assault him if he tried to take one of them into custody. Come on. The whole thing is so crazy. So what is going on here exactly? How is it? What is it? What Portland police doesn't

want to do their jobs? Is that what's happening? What is this? Well, let me take you a little bit further. The Portland police chief is a fellow called Bob Day. Bob Day. Have you heard this guy yet? He's a whiny little dude. He's out of control. He's the Portland police chief. And earlier this week. He was complaining that the Trump administration is trying to restore order in Portland. He's upset that the Trump administration has deployed federal law enforcement to to stop Antifa from laying siege to ICE facilities, to stop Antifa from obstructing ice from doing its job. So here's the Portland Police Chief, Bob Day this week, take a look, cut 11, complaining that the Trump administration is.

doing anything to bring about a piece in an American city. Watch. I want to emphasize. This is one city block. City of Portland is about 145 square miles. This is one city block. And even the events that are happening down there do not rise to the level of attention that they are receiving. We are seeing this true for our society and whole. I'm not going to try and editorialize too much, but these, you know, 30-second, 20-second, 15-second clips, clips that are brought in from months ago or maybe even years ago. We've seen Portland portrayed through the events of the lens of 20 and 21.

And what's actually happening in the response that we're seeing both from Portlanders and from the Portland Police Bureau is not in line with that national narrative. Yeah, no, this is not that big of a deal. I don't even know what people are complaining about. Why is federal law enforcement here? We don't need the National Guard. Portland doesn't need any help. Get the hell out of our city.

That's the position of the Portland Police Chief. this is people are being assaulted in the city all over the place and especially right next to that ice facility and he's doing nothing about it what a disgusting disgusting display from a man whose job is to protect that city so that's what they have at the leadership of that police department that's that's Portland police chief Bob day and then so what do ice think about this what are the ice agents think about what they have to deal with right now now and how little support they're getting from the local police department led by that police chief. Well, we've got the head of ICE in Portland talking about this very thing.

Her name is Camilla Wamsley. That's her name, great name. Camilla Wamsley, she's the head of ICE in Portland. And she says that it is a complete tragedy what's going on. In fact, ICE agents are witnessing assaults taking place. across the street from the ice facility and they can't do anything about it because ice agents can only enforce federal law their jurisdiction is not local law enforcement so unless there's a federal nexus they can't intervene across the street from the ice facility on Portland property that's the Portland police department's responsibility and ice agents are being driven out of their minds by the

lawlessness that's going on around them that's making this facility way less safe listen to the ice director cut 12 talking to bill malusion this one week from Fox about what's happening. They're not really supposed to respond to this building. There have been folks that have been assaulted right down here on the street, even across the street, and it takes Portland police a while to respond, or sometimes they don't respond at all. Is that frustrating?

It is frustrating. It's frustrating for us to watch people be attacked on the street and know that we don't have the authority to be able to really step in, step in unless there's some nexus to federal law that's frustrating for us oh my god oh my god what a nightmare what a complete nightmare in portland oregon so let me get this straight antifa can do whatever it wants conservative journalists are being assaulted and nobody's being arrested who assaults them conservative journalists are defending themselves from being assaulted and the conservative journalist is the one who's arrested. Ice agents are witnessing assaults taking

place across the street from their facility. The Portland Police Department is not making arrests during those attacks. And the police chief is angry that the feds are protecting their property, which is being used to deport illegal aliens from the United States. Am I missing anything here? Portland is lawless. Portland, Oregon is a lawless hell. whole right now because of Democrats and because of that police chief in Portland. In a moment, I want to talk to you about what should be done here. What can be done here about Portland, Oregon. We've got we've got a lot to get to on the program, a lot to get to on the program. But I do think that the president has some options here. Let's see if he can take them

Well, look, one thing I'm telling you for sure is the president should just keep doubling down. The president should send in as many federal law.

enforcement as you can possibly summon. Get them in there and crack down on all of this. You know, Antifa, he's already declared them a terrorist organization. Treat them like a terrorist organization. Place people under arrest for participating in this terrorism. You want a federal nexus? You've got one. Go after these people. These assaults can't stand. This can't happen at all. Journalists deserve to be protected. They don't deserve to be attacked. There's all sorts of civil rights violations going on here, and the police are letting it happen. They're enabling it. And that brings me out of my next point about what might be possible with the feds. I hope the United States Department of Justice explores a patterns and

practices investigation into the Portland Police Department. Harmey Dillon is a hero. She leads the civil rights division for the United States Department of Justice. And among the things she's doing this week is she is launching an investigation into the Des Moines School Board for its hiring practices and whether or not they're based on racial prejudice. If Harvey Dillon and the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department can establish any predicate whatsoever to investigate the Portland Police Department, I think they should. Think about it. For years, the United States Department of Justice has launched investigations into normal police departments led by the left. They've launched investigations in the normal police departments for just doing their jobs,

accusing them of racism for arresting bad guys. And then they lock up those police departments and then they lead, they bankrupt them. They basically inflict misery on police departments in order to advance left-wing policy agendas that in the end don't make communities safer, but instead hurt police departments in the advancement of a left-wing political agenda. It's awful stuff. Luckily, Hartmeade Dillon's a real human being, a real civil rights attorney, a real civil rights hero, somebody who's in the right job. Again, what I'm witnessing here is lawlessness in Portland, journalists being attacked, the First Amendment being infringed, journalists being arrested for doing their job, despite the fact they were only defending themselves in the case of Nick Sortor, they weren't leading an assault. It sounds to me like there's a massive civil rights violation going on here.

so maybe the civil rights division can get involved something needs to be done i'm tired of feeling helpless i'm tired of feeling like there is no recourse nothing can be done here so i am in the do something face do something Portland's an american city despite the fact that the left wants to pretend like it's some sort of autonomous zone that's out of our reach it shouldn't be Americans live there. Americans should be able to, you know, live there with safety. And the federal government should exert every resource possible to restore order in that city. It has to be done.

It has to be. So we'll keep our eyes on Portland, Oregon. That's a, that story to me has been among the most frustrating to watch, to watch this happen and to see this lawlessness take place. And I guarantee you the president of the United States is, is, uh, infuriated about this. If anything good can come of all of this, the attacks on Katie Davoskort and Nick Sorto this week hopefully are in front of the president's eyeballs right now and serve as the kind of inducement to restore order in that city. You know, we're already seeing it in Memphis, Tennessee. I told you yesterday all about Memphis. You know, Memphis, Tennessee,

that's a whole of community response there where you've got the governor working with the president. The president has sent in the National Guard. They're making all sorts of arrests right now. to restore order in a very violent city. Heck, the residents of Portland. I spoke to a guy yesterday from Memphis, Tennessee on my radio show. He called in to say, Vince, we love it. We love what President Trump is doing to save this community right now. We want so much more.

Please keep doing this. There are local restaurants right now in Memphis, Tennessee, who are giving free meals to the National Guard because they support the National Guard. They want these guys in the community. And in fact, actually, while I'm saying this, I should name the restaurants because I want you to know the names of these restaurants. If you're in the Portland area, I mean, excuse me, in the Memphis area, please patronize these restaurants. Give them some attention.

We just saw an attack in Dallas, a terror attack, a shooting on that ICE facility. And the Trump administration has gone after the ways in which these ice facilities are being attacked,

And here's some good news this morning about the effort to get this under control. The United States Department of Justice has successfully been able to get Apple, the company, you know, the iPhone company,

to remove apps from their store that track the location. of ICE agents. Now, why did it take this long to do this? This is great news. DOJ officials at the direction of Attorney General Pam Bondi asked Apple to take down ice block. That's what the name of the app is. A move that comes as Trump administration officials have claimed that the tool, which allows users to anonymously report ICE agents' presence, puts agents in danger. It does. It's not just that they're claiming it. It does put agents in danger and helps shield illegal immigrants, illegal aliens. Pam Bondi saying to Fox, quote, we reached out to Apple today,

demanding they remove the Ice Block app from their app store. And Apple did so. Ice Block is designed to put ICE agents at risk just for doing their jobs and violence against law enforcement is an intolerable red line that cannot be crossed. This Department of Justice will continue making every effort to protect our brave law enforcement officers who risk their lives every day to keep Americans safe. You know, the guy who attacked the Dallas ice facility last week, remember, he was firing

from a rooftop position, these lefty terrorists, they love their rooftop positions, don't they? He was firing from a rooftop position and indiscriminately into the side of this ice building. And at one point, he sees an unmarked ice van and he just begins firing into it, hoping, as they later discovered based on all of his writings that he was hoping he would be striking ice agents he was trying to kill ice agents this cruel idiot killed a couple of detainees instead and and wounded another who were inside the vehicle and the ice agents reacted with complete heroism they they rushed the detainees out of the line of fire they were going into the car to try and rescue everybody and they were dealing with this utter chaos

that, of course, they did not expect to befall the ice facility in Dallas. But what authorities discovered is that this terrorist used the ice location app as a part of his reconnaissance effort ahead of the attack. He was trying to figure out where are ice agents at, clearly because he wanted to terrorize them.

And so the Trump administration rightly approached Apple and said, what are you doing? All this is used for is to break the law. What other purpose does this app have? It's just a law-breaking app. Either it's to keep illegal aliens from being taken into custody, or it's being used to help terrorist attack ICE agents. So why do you have this up on your store, Apple?

Apple has pulled it down. It should have happened a long time ago, but thanks to Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice, they have pulled this app down. And that's very, very good news and hopefully can preclude any more of these terrorist attacks on ice. But, I mean, let's be honest, we're watching as ICE agents and their facilities continue to remain under siege

with each passing night. So the threats continue here. This is a tough situation that these guys are dealing with at the hands of the radical left, big time. now these these attacks as i as i point out uh continue these these lefty attacks i've got an update on another lefty terrorist attack today i'll get back to illegal immigration stuff in a moment but um you know that the man who tried to assassinate brett cavanall he's due for sentencing this morning uh on friday morning his his sentencing is coming through uh his name is

Nicholas Roski. And remember, in 2022, he showed up outside of Justice Brett Kavanaugh's home. And he had all of the implements necessary, at least in his deranged mind, to assassinate Brett Kavanaugh. He had the gun. He had he had implements to break into the house. He had his feet patted up to make them make his footsteps softer. And today, we reached the sentencing phase. And as I told you last week, one of the wild updates to this story is that this guy says that he's transgender. So yes, another mentally a lefty who thinks he's a woman who led this attack, another Trantifa attack against normal people, against conservatives, against Justice Brett Kavanaugh in this case. And that leads us to this crazy New York Times report today on the census. sentencing. I was, I was doing all my prep today. I'm reading through, you know, I click on all the various news outlets. And the New York Times has this one for you today. Get a load of this craziness. It's amazing. It's like, Vince, why are people so misled? I don't know. One of the dominant newspapers in our country continues to fill the eyes of its readers with horseshit. Look at this. As political violence rises, Justice Kavanaugh's would be assassin to be sentenced. And then we get right away to the first paragraphs of this thing.

The person who pleaded guilty to attempting to assassinate Justice Breck Kavanaugh of the United States Supreme Court in 2022 will be sentenced on Friday morning at a federal courthouse in Greenbelt, Maryland. Prosecutors have asked that Sophie Roski be sentenced to at least 30 years in prison for attempting to commit pre-planned cold-blooded murder and to change through violence the workings of the judiciary. Ms. Roski, 29, was charged under her legal name, Nicholas J. Roski. In September, her attorneys disclosed to the court that she is transgender and now uses the name Sophie. This is the paper of record, the New York Times. This is what they call it the old gray lady the old gray transgender lady is insisting that the murderer

is actually a woman now if federal prosecutors are successful here they say that he nicholas rossky is looking at 30 years in prison 30 years now they do go through the sequence of events that led to his arrest in the early hours of June 8th after getting out of the taxi he received a phone call from his sister that caused him to change his mind now by the way I'm reading this from the New York Times and they have her and she and all this stuff I'm trying to ground this in reality again he told investigators rather than approach the justice's house near which he had noticed a protective detail of U.S. Marshals Roski dialed 9-1-1 and turned himself in.

Turned himself in. And so now as a result of all of that, he's in custody and they're looking at 30 years in jail. But look, here's the thing. Will this dude serve his time in a men's prison? He'd better. You're not going to send another dude into a woman's prison. That's insane. And that's obviously what his attorneys want.

Send him to a female prison. Go ahead. That's what they want. No, don't play these stupid games. And the New York Times is breathing life into these stupid, destructive games. No, no, no, if you're going to do time, if you're going to do hard time, you'll do it with the people who share your gender. That's the way we do this. We do sex-segregated prisons.

So, yes, you'll be with the men. That's where you need to be. insanity the insanity just continues um they say in the new york times piece in case you're wondering what what leads to all of this according to filings by the lawyers by his lawyers and by prosecutors nicholas rossky was a high achiever in high school an honor student and an eagle scout who struggled with his mental health as a young adult no kidding in a court filing his lawyers said that his parents whom he described in a letter to the court as, quote, conservative Christian parents who loved me and still loved me were bewildered by his

mental health struggle. According to filings from his attorneys, they responded to one suicide attempt by convening a prayer group that decided that he had been, quote, driven by satanic forces. Now, the New York Times dismisses this, I think. They're kind of treating this dismissively as, like, oh, isn't that awful that somebody would say this? But what do you think this is? What else would this be? Ladies and gentlemen, we are in a spiritual war. Clearly, there are demonic influences on people who become convinced that they were born in the wrong body.

And then try and harm themselves and others. And the left has breathed life into this forever. We shouldn't do that. We need to stop this before it goes as far as it has. Americans are decent people. They're empathetic people, and they don't want to see this happen. And, you know, this guy, he tried to assassinate a sitting United States Supreme Court justice by his own admission. And he needs to serve time for that.

But we need to stop letting the left play this game. And even to this very day, with a would-be assassin. The New York Times is still playing stupid games and breathing life into that kind of poison. And I can't even tell you how many times there's a word her? Let me say, I'm going to look for it. The word her appears 30 times in this New York Times piece. The word she appears 24 times. 54 references to this guy as a female in one New York Times article.

that's nuts and it's going to get more people hurt actually it's going to get more people hurt how many of these assailants how many of these assassins are guided by this transgender ideology the attack on the covenant school transgender the idea i get the attacks are endless the assassination of charlie kirk was guided by in in small part at least not a small part It seems like a major part, actually, this transgender ideology. This dude was dating another dude who they were pretending was a transgender woman and then attacked Charlie, killing him. And the person who tried to assassinate Brett Kavanaugh, again, transgender delusions.

This is a dangerous mental illness, a very dangerous mental illness. And it's high time we treat it that way. And we shouldn't let people get to that level. we need to help them before they do while all right let me let me get to some of the other things going on we've got the government shutdown now in its third day and the president of the united states just in an interview with one america news uh and during the interview he was asked by the reporter um about firings about you know to what extent will the government shrink in size as a result of this government shutdown. Because the president does have a real opportunity here.

You know, while the government is shut down, he has extraordinary powers. Russ Vote, the head of the Office of Management and Budget, has extraordinary powers to shrink the government. And please, President Trump, please, please, answer our prayers here. This is why I voted for you. This is one of the reasons I voted for you to shrink down a bloated, disgusting, loaded up federal government that's got way too many lefties, inefficient, stealing your money. Get rid of them. Now's your chance. Here's the president on that subject, on the firings that can happen while this shutdown is going on. Cut one. Take a look. There was an OMB memo going around suggesting that there might be firings during the shutdown.

Do you think that will happen if the shutdown goes for a little bit of time, sir? Well, there could be firings, and that's their fault. And it could also be other things. I mean, we could cut projects that they wanted, favorite projects. And they'd be permanently cut. So you could say, a lot of people are saying Trump wanted this, that I wanted this closing, and I didn't want it. But a lot of people are saying it because I'm allowed to cut things that should have never been approved in the first place. And I will probably do that. Yeah, yeah. And I will probably do that.

Can we move from probably to definitely, please, sir? Would you mind? Would you upgrade that from probably to definitely? Because this is your big opportunity. In fact, in case you're wondering. Is this just something that President Trump is admitting that he can do? Is this just something that Russ vote is admitting that he can do? Oh, no, no, no.

Democrats know it too. How do I know that? Back in March, we had a funding fight that looked just like this. Back in March, we had a funding fight. And at that time, Chuck Schumer voted to keep the government open. Now, why did he do that? why did Chuck Schumer cross the aisle to work with the Republicans to keep the government open? Well, lucky for us, he wrote about it.

He wrote an op-ed, or somebody on his staff did for the New York Times. And here's what Chuck Schumer said in March. Ready? Trump and Musk would love a shutdown. We must not give them one. Now, why is that? Why doesn't Chuck Schumer want to give us a shutdown? What's the problem there?

And he says, the reason he says, the reason he's, he wants to do this is because he can cut the government. He can. A shutdown would give Mr. Trump and Mr. Musk permission to destroy vital government services at a significantly faster rate than they can right now, said Chuck Schumer. This is in March. Under a shutdown, the Trump administration would have a wide-ranging authority to deem whole agencies, programs, and personnel,

non-essential, furlowing staff members with no promise that they would ever be rehired. The decisions about what is essential would be, in practice, largely up to the executive branch, with few left at agencies to even check it. Mr. Musk has reportedly said he wants a shutdown and may already be planning how to use one to his involvement. I love this. This is great. Schumer should have written this op-ed for the rest of us. This is an awesome

thing. All right. So tell me more Schumer. What else can we do? Second, he said, if we enter a shutdown, congressional Republicans could weaponize their majorities to cherry-pick which parts of the government to reopen. In a protracted shutdown, House and Senate Republicans could bring bills to the floor to reopen only their favored departments and agencies while leaving other vital services that they don't like to languish. Hello. This is the greatest news ever. So you're telling me

that the President of the United States has more power to fire anybody he wants in a government shutdown. And Congress has the power to basically say, hey, that agency sucks. We're not reopening that. The Department of Education, to hell with them.

We're not doing that. We can get rid of agencies right now. We can functionally diminish them to nothing right now. Yes, please. Keep the government shutdown going. Now, I say that, and there are some issues here, obviously. One of them is that the troops need to be paid. The troops need to be paid.

We've got federal government employees who you and I do care about who need to get paid. The good guys should get paid. But we got to burn out the underbrush. We need a control burn of the federal government. get rid of everybody you can get rid of. I'm like you, chat. I'm wondering, you know, President, we started this government shutdown a few days ago now. And from the moment it started, I wanted to see the layoffs.

I want to see the layoffs right now. So I'm waiting, I'm waiting eagerly to see that headline cross my desk. I know you are too, which is like, come on, baby, get it going. Just get the layoffs going. If you have extraordinary powers right now, use them. You know, Russ Vote knows he's got the power to. to do this right now at the Office of Management and Budget. He met with the president yesterday.

The president even said it yesterday. Remember, he said, I'm meeting with Russ vote of Project 2025 fame about who we're going to lay off in the government. Baby, do it. Stop telling me you're going to do it. Just do it, baby. I voted for this. Please, please.

I beg you. I beg you. So Chuck Schumer knows it's possible. He was freaking out about it. And now's our chance. So let's see it's done. Let's see it get done. Chop, chop, chop, Mr. President.

It would be really nice to celebrate that victory, too. I'd like to stack that on the victory pile. I'm not tired of winning, so I'd like to see more of this, please. Thank you very much. The president also saying during that interview that, you know, the reason the Democrats even shut down the government is not because they're fighting for American citizens. There's nothing to do with that.

They're fighting for illegals. They want the illegals in the United States of America, and they want. want you, the American taxpayer, to fund the illegals. Here's the president of the United States yesterday. One American News, cut to. It's politics, and they're doing things and asking for things that you wouldn't want, and most people that are saying wouldn't want, and patriots wouldn't want. They want illegal aliens to get taken care of with health care.

And look, I have a bigger heart than they do. But it's not even that. Everybody in the world is going to enter our country and say, give us free health care, give us this, give us that. it's going to ruin all of the things that we have, all of the plans that we have. Obamacare was never any good, but it subsists, it's there, and everything will be destroyed because no country has enough money to take care of that, so they want the illegals. No country can do this. Why are we doing this? This is how you destroy a country, actually.

You open up our borders, and you have a welfare state. That's how you crush a country. You can't do that. You can't have open borders in a wealth. welfare state. Not possible. Not possible without the country collapsing in on itself. And thanks to the left, we were sort of ending up with that country, haven't we? So President Trump is trying to fix that. That's why he's deporting so many people right now. That's why he's cutting off all of these benefits for illegal aliens, which is a magnet for more illegal immigration. Forget the debt load that you and I have for the people who are here. The longer these bennies keep being handed out to illegals, the more illegals we're going to get. It's a simple formula. You incentivize

that kind of invasion. So President Trump is putting a stop to that. And it's crystal clear what's going on. Speaker Johnson has been very good on this issue. He said, guys, it's right in the legislation. It's very clear what Democrats are trying to do. They'll lie to you. They'll lie through their teeth about everything, but including and especially this. And Speaker Johnson is explaining here, cut three, that they just want illegals to have health care. There's nothing more to this. And that's the whole reason the government shut down. It's the reason why they won't keep it up open for even seven more weeks your speaker johnson the uh senate democrats own measure that they filed into the record their counter proposal continuing resolution that says all these things now i'm

i'm going to i'm going to tell all your listeners you can pull this up and go through it yourself go to speaker dot go to the press release page you'll see all this you can you can access their own legislation not republican talking points i will i will i will i will direct everybody to page of 57 of that document that chuck schumer filed and go to section 2141 it says it right right there in the black letter they want to repeal the important changes we've made to the law in the one big beautiful bill the working families tax cut very that's where we cut out all the all the the the taxpayer funding to illegals and chuck chairman the democrats are staking this entire game on their demand for us to to to unwind that reverse it and make sure that

taxpayer funds go to aliens again we're not doing it oh isn't it nice to finally have have Republicans all on the same page. It's weird. One of the victories of this moment is that Republicans are demonstrating some unified testicular fortitude. What was the last time we've seen that? You don't get that that often, do you?

President Trump had to teach these guys how to do it, which is like, no, no, hold the line, tell the truth, do it everywhere, do it at a high volume. Make sure people know what's on the line here. And they do. And they do. We saw a New York Times survey earlier this week saying that Democrats are the losers in all of this, that people are angry at the Democrats. Don't shut the government down. What are you morons doing? And the only reason we got there is because President Trump is dominating these people. Speaker Johnson is dominating these people. You've got Republicans who are telling the truth and they're doing it all over the ways. I had Congressman Brandon Gill on the radio show yesterday. And he's great. And he's great. guys are just speaking clearly what do the democrats want they want to fund illegals it's as simple as

that i had a missouri senator eric smith on the radio show this week he said the same thing and what this is is a blue state bailout these states are overloaded with the illegal aliens trump cut off the fleecing of the federal taxpayer he cut off your money going to illegals he cut it off earlier this year and democrats don't know what to do now their state budgets are overwhelmed by illegal aliens taking taxpayer health care. So what do they want? They want federal subsidies. They want money to go into their state to try and help resolve their massive debt loads. Sorry, idiots. You don't get any more money from us. In fact, you want a path out of this? You want a path to fiscal sanity? Deport the illegals. Work with Trump. Deport the illegals. And then

Democrat Senator Gene Shaheen made an unfortunate appearance on the Fox News channel yesterday where she insisted. She's like, no, no, no. Nobody in my party is saying that we need to give illegal aliens health care.

Nobody really, says Lawrence Jones. And then Lawrence Jones played the tape for her where every Democrat in her party raised their hand to say, let's give illegal's health care. Take a look. I haven't heard anybody in my party saying that illegal immigrants should get access to the health insurance marketplace. I'm so glad you said that actually I have some tape of your Democratic Party members saying this on the to the base day. So they've all said, and let's play the clip. Raise your hand if your government plan would provide coverage for undocumented immigrants. Okay.

Senator, that's literally every member of your party from moderate to more progressive that have said that in the past. That's literally every member of your party says from moderate to radical. Every permutation of Democrat insanity on that stage, raising their hand saying, hey, yeah, no, definitely, I want taxpayer funding to illegal aliens, you know? And we're already seen, we're seeing some of it this week. You saw, you know, Congressman Rokana and then Congressman Panetta, these are Democrats from California, you know, saying, well, yeah, that's true. I guess, I guess illegals are getting some funding, but it's a very small amount. You know what that is? You know what we're witnessing right now?
